Couple questions. One, I'm in the event, but also involved in another thread at the moment, a sem-event .GMO mission with a fellow player. He is not a part of the event. Would this mean that he would be placed on hold since the event freezes the battle? Or would I simply continue to work on both things at once while receiving the rewards from neither until both are completed? Or the third option, for whatever reason, my Navi is disabled and the other player continues? Should be plainly obvious which I prefer, but Option 2 doesn't seem that fair in the view of how everyone else is being handled. My apologies for the complication.
Next, more balancing querries. I just realized that for a measly 700 zenny, I could be permanently stone bodied. 3 Process Upgrades, 0 purchased before, starting with a stone body signature move, I could create two others, both with 2 turn cool downs, and simply use an action every turn to keep my character in that mode for essentially forever. Granted, there are ways to counter it, but I honestly don't see standard viruses doing much to CrushMan in such a scenario and I worry about the legitamacy of such a tactic. Granted, practically 0 dodging capabilities and -1 actions per turn is a bit of a penalty, but all non-break attacks being reduced to 1? All for 700 Zenny? Like I said, I worry about how, err, right, that is.

You take double from Break...And if you do such a thing, the mods won't like you and will send a few Break viruses into your battles. Of course, we see your point, we do, but that's the same for nearly everything these days. I suppose we could implement a cooldown feature where a particular buff must be in CD for one round before it can be used again.
EX:
Tom uses Stonebody.
Stonebody ends.
Tom must wait 1 round.
Stonebody can be used again.
Basically, you wouldn't be able to rebuff yourself on the same round that your current buff would end, giving viruses and the like the chance to take pot shots at you.

Dude, you are using one action every turn to keep stone body up, and your movement/melee accuracy is also cut. You also don't have any damage signatures or the like. In the place of the mod, I'd have some virii attack you before you put up your new stone body at the beginning of the round; virii aren't always stupid.
You could do a large heal every turn and most virii still couldn't out damage that. Or make an AoE that murders everyone... Seriously, it is far not as imbalanced as you make it sound
EDIT: I'm only a trainee here and I don't even intend to mod that many battles when I become a full blown mod (if I ever....). However, I seriously disagree with ... "not liking" someone for using possible and legit options. If he is using stone body we send break virii? Then what use is any ability if you get paired up with a bad matchup anyway?
In my opinion, if you get paired up with a break virii by chance, you'll be in a fix, yes, but intentionally sending break just to reverse 240 points of signature is silly >.>

In my opinion, spamming StoneBody is similar to spamming swords. Sword Spam is technically a legit and possible option, but we are against it and Mods are allowed to break the swords early if they feel that the PC is spamming. Why not do the same with other types of spam? Besides, I'm not talking about just randomly throwing in break viruses that do not normally show up in an area. And, like you said, viruses are not always stupid. Wouldn't they notice that a Navi is taking little damage and so wouldn't viruses down the line be aware of this and use tactics to overcome stonebody and the like?

Can a Passive Signature attack be made that grants the 'Slashing' effect to all attacks used? I mean... It's 0 points.
Asking this because I was planning it for a 'Cross Signature'.

I've asked PAlly waaaay back and the reply was no
Same as how you can't make a passive that adds break and the like...
Don't ask me why. Pally gave a convincing argument.... that I don't remember... or possibly said he is working on it.... XD
If it was possible I'd already have a dozen of those things.

Ok, I just thought of somthing. My navi is a heal subtype. Could I chose to sacrifice chips before my next battle so that I could heal damage to myself/allies? For example, I chose to use up a sword chip for healing after a big fight. I recover 40hp, but I cannot use that chip in my next battle. It makes very little sese IC why I cannot do this, as I still cannot use the chip(s) in the next battle, so I would need to be judicuous with it, especialy if I plan on healing as well in the next fight.

No.
As for IC reasons, we'll go with the MMBN answer: You cannot use battlechips outside of battle because your Navi's battle routines are not active. If you wish to heal outside of battle, purchase subchips. They only work outside of battle, and you're supposed to use them between battles.
Problem solved.

If my navi gets deleated, can I regester an exact copy of it, I.E. a back up version so to spek? Since a navi is just data, it makes perfect sense that you can re-make a deleated one, provided it dosn't have super-rare unreplicatable tech or somthing like that.

Generally speaking, if your navi is deleted, it is because you were in gross violation of the rules or something. So, no, once you're deleted, it's gone.
That being said, to my knowledge, on both RECN and RERN, I think there have only been four deleted navi's, and one of those was from the players own free will to advance their own NetOps story.

Fixed the question of all spelling and punctuation errors. Now Spelly won't maul you.
But anyway, once a Navi's deleted, it's not coming back. End of story. Don't ask why, it just is. In the old days, you'd have Back-up Datas and no EJO'ing. Now, deletion is deletion. No return.
On the other hand, if a Navi gets EJO'd, like I notice you have recently been, then aforementioned Navi just returns to the PET, automatically gets healed, and you lose whatever data, be it zenny, chips, etc, and this is a horrific run-on sentence, and you can just do whatever.

In a few weeks, 5.

I've got a continuity question:
Just when does RERN occur in the timeline? To be more specific, relative to the MMBN games.
*SPOILERS FOR MMBN3 (On the off chance someone here hasn't played it)*
In MMBN3, we found out that Lan's grandfather created the current configuration for the Net. Considering that, along with him already being dead and the age of Lan's father (probably late 30's or early 40's), I'm guessing that the Net, relative to that point, was around 50 years old. So, I'm wondering where RERN falls time-wise from there.
Short version: How many years are in between the MMBN games and RERN? 5? 10? 20? 100? I'd like to know for the sake of my Navi's history. Thanks.

The time between RECN and RERN is 7 years.
The time between RECN and the last MMBN was... Errr... 2 years or so? I'm not entirely sure, seeing RECN got wiped from the face of the earth.

I was under the impression it was much more than that, like, 20-30 years or something. After 6, but before the Isis/Colonel system. I think.

It's the time where Lan/Netto is an angsty teen, probably during college/university.
So that's about... 2-5 years.

How do I get those melee chips?
Y'now, the ones that do 150+ dmg a hit. Like Condor or Bighammer.

Currently events, because I don't think that the proper viruses have been integrated yet.
Or you could try to con Zan out of his.
