The "Everything you ever wanted to know" Thread

Check the Object Chips in the Information databases under Chip Lists.
Thanks.
We don't currently have the virus summoning chips available. Yes, there may eventually be a way to make it happen. It is on my long to-do-list. :'D

you did hear about the new "Navi shelving" system, where you can store a team and return to it later without any of the replacement teams winnings. If you've already used up your one allowed slot though, why not switch the stored with the current.

Yep, that's why I asked to begin with. I just want to be absolutely, positively, undeniably 100% sure that it's alright to switch mid-mission, then return once it can resume, even though I more or less know the answer. To quote someone I knew a long time ago, "It's better to ask and feel stupid, than doing it and being stupid." And yes, that is a highly awesome quote.

In Megaman Battle network 2 there were virus chips you could get to temporarily summon viruses. Is there anything like that here, and if there isn't is there any feasible way to work it in?

Actually, that's BN 3, not BN 2. (shot for being nit-picky)
Oh, sorry, could quite remember, so I guessed .

Here's a better quote:
"You know, the fact that someone invented the flamethrower means that somewhere, sometime, a guy thought to himself, 'Hey, I really want to set those people on fire, I just don't want to walk all the way over there to do it'"
In my case, I have a Fire Navi and will probably soon get an Elec Cross. Now if I want a Fire damage Sig for this Cross, will I have to pay the 'off-elemental' effect when creating a Sig?

As for the 'virus summoning' chips. Technically 'Ratton', to name an example, creates a virus.
:'D
No, you won't have to pay the off-elemental penalty since that sig would only be usable in that Cross, which pretty much guarantees that you'd be the proper element.
Bomber, he is asking to use a FIRE element sig in an ELEC cross...
...

*reads again*

... Indeed. DX

Yeah, you'd have to pay the extra 20 if you wanted a Fire sig while in BroadsideCross.
Yeah...tiny PA question. Is the Punch PA from BN 2 (GutsPunch, ColdPunch, DashAttack, shoots 6 GutsPunches of 80 damage down the row in the game) okay to use? And no, there's absolutely no reason why I ask...(looks away repeatedly)
Quick question.

Why do like, half of our members spell "summary" as "summery"? It's not just a typo, it happens again and again and again and it's REALLY GETTING ON MY NERVES. :'D
It's just to deliberately mess with you.

Also, spellcheck doesn't catch it, I just tested it.
Well, that makes sense. :'D Mozilla spellcheck isn't the best.

Summery is also a real word, it just doesn't mean the same thing.
um, I keep getting this message when I try to get on the chat...

Why does it seem like there are legions more bad effects than good for Bug (or the Glitch effect)? I mean, Randomize has a perfectly even chance of going either way, but Glitch seems really disadvantaged. All I've heard people talking about are the evil effects they can think of for it, but what about the good ones? D:

I know the point of it is to be random, but there should be some order to it rather than just whatever mean stuff the mod can think up. The only positive effect I've gotten so far (yes, I know, I've only used it a few times) is a 20% terrain change to Metal. Gee whiz. I know it's not a drawback, but where's the fun in it if you're just praying for nothing bad to happen?

tl;dr explanation: Randomize should be 1:1:1 more than anything, like good:bad:neutral. Right now, it's about 2:3, neutral:bad. At least that's my estimate.

Also. Why isn't there a sticky'd topic about subtype stuff? It's a pretty big issue 'round now.
Bad effects are more fun to talk about. What actually happens is, or at least should, be a little more even.

Besides, don't forget that the target is random too. That horrible effect that someone just explained to you in grotesque detail could just as easily happen to a virus or their precious midboss.
Fair enough.

ElecReel1 -
Damage: 80
Accuracy: D vs Airborne / B vs Ground
Description: Navi shoots a bolt of lightning across the ground that strikes multiple ground based opponents. If used to attack airborne opponents, accuracy drops dramatically.

What is the full limit of targets this chip have? The entire ground viruses? Because this is what I found on gamefaqs

While netbattling in an area, is it possible to join another player's battling thread in the same area for impromptu tandem busting? With PM notification to the other player, of course.
