This is where Joseph is, and where Sparks was jacked in from.

Sparks New Design
In honor of Sparks turning level 20, I wanted to roll out a redesign I have had sitting on my mind for a few weeks now.

NetNavi
Name:Sparks.exe
Gender: Male
Element: Elec
Subtype: Sword
Appears to be age 25
Height/Weight without armor: 6'0 165 lbs
Height/Weight with armor: 6'2 190 lbs
Hair style: Long slightly wavy/spiky silvery grey hair to his mid back with a few bangs.
Eye color: Olive
Body type: slender athletic body type with defined muscles. Tan skin.

Sparks clothing consist of a basic olive green Navi suit. A thin feint yellow lighting bolt design runs down the length of the Navi suit on either side. The design on the arms however is hidden by a cream colored, high collared tight fitting jacket. The sleeves of the jacket slide down his arms, and tuck into the edges of his dark olive samurai styled gauntlets. The jacket is worn open, and is long, in the style of a trench coat but not as straight and basic looking. After the waist, the back of the jacket extends, and fans out slighty all the way down to his ankles. A loose fitting cream colored belt rest slightly crooked around his waist where two bladeless katana handles hang upside down from an unnoticeable magnetic clip at his left side. One handle is an olive color with cream colored trim. The other consist of a cream color with feint touches of red here and there.

Not very noticeable unless you were up close, but the chest and waist area of the Navi suit are a little thicker and more padded. In the center of his chest, a cream circle emblem can be seen. The design on the emblem consist of a dark olive katana surrounded with tiny streaks of yellow lighting. The same emblem is visible in the center of the backside of his jacket.

On top of having the gauntlets, Sparks still dons a matching set of fur trimmed samurai armor. The armor is now of a lighter weight, and only consist of his kabuto helmet, some shoulder pads, and the mid shin high boots that cover his feet. Each piece of armor is a deeper, darker shade of olive, with golden yellow outline, which is then trimmed by a cream colored fur. A golden yellow demonic face mask covers his face during battle, two gaps left open in the mask so that he could see.

Sparks' lighting bolt entrance crashed down harder then usual, having to push through a whole normal layer of net before he could step into the new land. The electric samurai had never been to Naxa, much rather this deep into it. He looked around, his warrior senses tingling. The presence of stronger enemies had him on edge. He wasn't the only one though, the hairs on Lucky's neck spiked, and his tail lifted, and stiffened. A feint growl could be heard from inside his throat. Sparks unclipped both of his newly upgraded katana handles at his side. There was no sheath like before, and he assumed that tapping into his power, or a battle chip would cause a weapon to materialize from the handles. He gave them a deep examination while the two waited on their comrades to join them. "They will hardly notice me now. I've changed so much." Sparks laughed, and petted his pups head, in an attempt to relax the .SP. "We are strong Lucky, we must fight calm, and not let a river of anxiety overwhelm us before the battle even starts."

It took a moment, but Lucky did in face relax, poking out his purplish black tongue in his usual manner. He ran the toungue across Sparks exposed finger tips. "We will become even stronger now that we have stepped this far into the net."

"You are right about that." Sparks said turning his attention to the scenery attemtping to spot any viruses that might hop out at them, and catch them by surprise.
Crack! Clap! Boom!

The starry sky thundered above, even though no clouds could form here in the planetarium, before four navis descended from above in beams of rainbow light. The beams struck the ground hard, showering multicolored sparks everywhere, and just making a flashy spectacle that announced to everyone in several miles that fresh meat was back on the menu. The beams dissipated quickly and the four navis stood up from a crouching position. They dusted and straightened their clothes as they took a look around. It was a moment later that they noticed Sparks and Lucky.

"Sir Sparks!" one of the four navis exclaimed, rushing him to give him a big hug. This was a girl named Suzume, gray eyes bright under golden hair, dressed in a bright gray scaled-plate Netopian-style armor with golden highlights. A royal blue trimmed various bits of cloth that came out here and there. She laughed and giggled in a way to make it seem like she hadn't seen the samurai in ages, even though it hadn't been more than a few days. Her light gray hood falling back to let her golden tresses out. As normal she had her hair braided in twin ponytails that hung down over her ears, with the remainder of her hair flowing unbraided behind her.

"Suzume," came the more serious voice of her younger twin, Aya, from behind. "Let him breathe a little, you're crushing him." Aya had a similar style of armor as her sister, but with dull black replacing the bright gray. She also wore a helmet with a single large feather drooping off it. It was not immediately clear what kind of creature the feather came from, and Aya never talked about it, assuming Aya even knew or cared to remember where it came from.

Suzume sheepishly untangled herself from Sparks and stepped back, just as another stepped up to take her place. This one was a powerfully built man, just slightly taller than Sparks. His armor was various shades of gray, from bright to dull in various places. He wore a light gray tabard over the torso with a simple dark stone tower with three crenelations (which showed up on the chest piece of the other three). His helmet was in the shape of a dragon's skull, with similar looking pauldrons (like the top half of a cow skull, but if it was a dragon). He pulled down the 'jaw' part of his helmet to reveal a grin filled with razor sharp teeth, then began to pat Sparks on the shoulders with his clawed gauntlets, in what turned out to be more like an enthusiastic shove. "Look at you!" he growled in a friendly manner, his voice more like that of a beast than a man. "I like the new duds. Very sharp. Easier to move in I wager."

"I concur with DragonierMan," the final member agreed. This was Magistrate, the madam of the quartet. Her gray eyes were both piercing and aloof, and her golden hair was done up in a practical bun skewered with large, sharp, dagger-like needles. Her armor was also more spiky and ornamented than her younger sisters. She was also taller than her diminutive sisters, and more developed. She ran a hand over her blue-trimmed, fluffy fur cloak. "Though, like us, it was not as if his previous armor slowed him down. We will just have to observe his performance in this new area."

"Fluffy's here too!" Suzume exclaimed, interrupting their train of thought as she jumped on Lucky to snuggle and pet. Aya clapped her hand to her face and groaned at her sister's actions. "Whose a good boy! Whoseagoodboy! You are! Yesyouare!"

Sparks returned her hug, though it was a gental embrace. Once she stepped away, he bowed to everybody and said. "Yes I believe it was the right time to move into something a little more free fitting, the armor was a little clunky." He mentioned, before waiving his left hand across his face. The motion caused the golden demon mask to materialize and keep his expression hidden.

Lucky accepted the love he was showered with and barked in glee, "Ruff Ruff!" His tail wagging from side to side, then he began to hop from left to right, and excitedly knocked over Suzume, and returned the favor with a a bombardment of licks to the face.

"Come now Lucky, we need to focus and be ready for anything." Sparks said, snapping his fingers.

With the snap, Lucky shot up, and jolted to his owners side. Obeying the command in the quickest manner possible. "Should we go ahead and get started guys?l

"Hehehehehe!" Suzume giggled as she was licked in the face by the large dog. Everything eventually settled down as Lucky got off Suzume and she wiped her face with her sleeve. [Requesting Battle 1.]

As the frequent battle companions reunited and appraisals were made, the group got ready to test their mettle against a more hostile network and see how they fared. they had found themselves situated in a deep valley, between two tall peaks that looked to have structures at their peaks — both bearing a bristling array of high-tech devices and probes sticking out at all angles.

The valley itself was steep-sided and smooth, though not enough to make walking or climbing hard. More interesting was the base of the valley, not far from where they had assembled, where a deep channel rand through, sheer-sided and straight. The edges for many metres were visibly magnetised, while the interior of the channel glowed with a bright light.

From where they were at the edge of one slope, the channel looked to disappear into a covered entrance in one direction between the hills, while, further off in the distance to the other direction, it continued past the end of the hills and opened out somewhere further out of sight.

As they watched, a loud electrical hum built up suddenly, and the light in the channel filtered in one direction, out towards the plain. There came the sound of a heavy clunk, echoing around the hills, before the hum reached a static crack followed by the sound of some concussive force, and the screech of something shooting forwards. The sound quieted rapidly, but with it came other, softer sounds. Viral sounds, unsurprisingly, as small creatures began to show themselves from hiding places around the area, coming to inspect. Many locked sight immediately on DragonierMan, Sparks and their companions.

A pair of metallic hornets circled in from around the eastern hill, bearing down on the group together, while an aura-enshrouded Megalian drifted in from the direction of the southern plain, coming to inspect, though it remained high up for now. A small hatch opened in the roof of the tech lab far away on top of the western hill, and a blue space craft rose out of it, before making a quick, if slightly erratic tail towards the valley, while a lower down on the eastern lab ejected both a hovering Pulsebulb and following it, one of the very viruses that Drago was here to hunt.

As these viruses came to engage the source of the sound, and to discover Drago, Sparks and their group, the channel in the valley hissed and hummed with a slightly different sound. Three metal cross-bridged unfolded over the channel, creating temporary walkways, and on a hastily reticulated platform two cannon turrets unpacked themselves and rose up. They began to scan the area, but unfortunately seemed to lock onto the navis rather than the viruses. Between them on the platform, another odd-looking device had also popped up; this one was large and square, but seemed to have spiked barbs with variously coloured flashing lights on the tips protruding from it in many directions. The cube also looked to be hollow, and contained a blue crystal, though it was held in place by the many piercing rods, all of which looked sharp and were fixed in place passing through the frame by high-tension spring mechanisms.... It didn't look particularly safe for the object that was contained in the device. As this platform finished setting up, a spark from below slipped away and out of the channel, moving to the far side from Drago and co., before it noticed them and turned around; a maru virus, it seemed uncertain about what to do once it saw them.

-=Viruses=-
CannonGuard2CannonGuard2 (CannonGuard)

CannonGuards are automatically in guard mode unless they are attacking. When guarding, the turret is protected by a shutter that will stop any and all non-breaking attacks from the front. This shutter cannot be destroyed, even by a breaking attack, so long as the virus exists. The shutter does not protect the turret portion of the virus against attacks from the back or sides. The base of the virus is also immune to non-breaking damage.

Attack Damage/Effect: 45 Null + Lockon
Accuracy: A
Attack Description: Locks on and attacks
Element: None

Megalian-E2Megalian-E2 (Megalian-E)

All Megalian-E viruses are equipped with Omnishoes, and fight from the air. This virus type will spend an Action Dodging, and then Attack the following Action. If there are more than one Megalian (family does not matter) the viruses will work together, alternating their attack Actions or attacking as a group (mod's discretion). When attacking, both the head and the base can be damaged separately (if the Aura protecting the base has been destroyed).

Area: NAXA, SciLab

HP: 190
Attack Damage/Effect: 80 Elec + Break + Piercing + Group attack.
Attack Accuracy: B (special)
Attack Description: Lines up with a target and launches its head at the enemy. Accuracy decreases with each hit.
Element: Elec
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): AuraHead2, Barrier100, Zenny

- Can be attacked while head is extended.
: 190Hp [80Hp Elec Aura][High Altitude][South]
BlueUFO (V2)BlueUFO (V2) (ColorUFO)

ColorUFOs are able to temporarily steal chip data from their enemy, preventing the use of that battlechip until the end of the battle. ColorUFOs only attack once per turn, maximum, and spend the rest of the turn dodging. This attack is guaranteed to hit unless the target dodges when they attempt their attack, meaning it can be evaded with luck. The attack ignores every form of defence, including any form of stealth. ColorUFOs move and dodge at slightly better than average rates. They are capable of full flight. If there is no valid target with a chip for the UFO to attempt to steal, they will instead zap one target with a particle beam.

Area: SciLab, NAXA, NetVegas

HP: 160
Primary Attack Damage/Effect: Blocks enemy from using one chip.
Primary Attack Accuracy: S
Primary Attack Description: Steals enemy chip data, preventing him from using it in that battle.
Secondary Attack Damage/Effect: 60 Null + Drop Attack
Secondary Attack Accuracy: B
Secondary Attack Description: Fires a particle beam straight down that has higher accuracy against flying targets.
Element: None.
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): PowerBolt2, Catcher, Zenny
Special: Omnishoes.

ElewaspElewasp (Elebee)

Elebee viruses move and dodge at a high rate of speed, and they are fully flight capable. Elebee viruses attack by flying at their target at high speed, and delivering an electric sting. This type of virus may opt to stop short of the target, and veer sharply in a new direction to avoid an attack. This requires the expenditure of a second action, but occurs very rapidly regardless. Movement and attacking are one and the same with regards to this virus, thus physical contact with them causes damage. Elebees can see through Invis.

Area: Electown, NAXA

HP: 130
Attack Damage/Effect: 40 Elec + Seeking

Maru-10Maru-10 (Maru)

Maru are rather small floating spheres of electricity, with two beady black eyes. They never appear solo, and will always have at least one other Maru at their side. While they're exactly as sturdy as one would expect from a ball of electrical energy, they can inflict bugs with their electric shocks. Maru are highly intelligent for being what they are, and love to combine tactics with others of their kind to make sure they each get to shock the enemy at maximum efficiency. Their small size and ability to move in any direction makes them extremely hard to hit.

Area: Netopia, NAXA

HP: 90
Attack Damage/Effect: 40 Elec + Glitch
Attack Accuracy: B (special)
Attack Description: Fires a small bolt of electricity that corrupts the data of whatever it hits.

Special: OmniShoes
Special: Taser: If this virus is within Melee range of an enemy, its attack's accuracy is A. If an enemy uses a close range chip, they may counterattack immediately following that attack as a free action. Multi-hit close range chips only trigger one counterattack.
Special: All attacks that target this virus are treated as being two accuracy ranks lower (i.e. A is treated as C) against that virus.
Special: Can use Barrier once.
: 90Hp [Magnet][West side of channel, central]
CirCrushCirCrush (Cirkill)

Cirkill viruses are top-tier mobile gunnery viruses, and thus should never be seen be seen until battle 6 or later in any given thread. Cirkills are extremely fast, and move in a circle-strafing motion around their chosen target. This makes them harder to hit normally, but they don't really bother with added evasive moves beyond veering around obstacles and adverse terrain. They attack while moving, and attack every action they are able to. They may suddenly switch targets without warning if they feel threatened or see an opening. If they plan to shoot at the same target consecutively, they will swerve to travel in a circle around that target, which can be counted as a dodge. They may still attack when they do this. They can target objects. They can see through Invis and other forms of stealth.

Area: Hades Isle, NAXA, NetVegas

HP: 180
Attack Damage/Effect: 60 Null + Seeking
Attack Accuracy: B
Attack Description: Brings gun to bear, and fires slow moving energy blasts opportunistically.

-=Rogue Battle 1, Start!=-

Various passive protections and enhancements activated as DragonierMan and crew scanned over the battlefield. "We'll take the fliers, I got the Megalian," Drago said to his allies before spreading his wings and taking to the sky. He quickly wrapped himself in a fireball of white energy as he sped into the sky after the Megalian-E2. The other three dragoniers spread their wings and flew toward the nimble BlueUFO (V2). They spun and weaved and tried to be as aerial-batically inclined as they could to make themselves harder targets. As they neared the UFO they split off in three different directions, circling around it from various angles in order to do a partial envelopment strategy. Drago took a more direct approach and attempted to just plow right through the Megalian, wrapped in his kinetic gray-white fireball.

As Drago came out of his first attack, he followed it up by racing toward the Megalian (potentially from behind if he had passed through/by the virus) and breathed a gout of grassy powder at it. The confusion powder swept out in a cone from his mouth like a dust storm, enveloping the area around the virus in a thick blanket of mind-altering spores. It would also smother any electrical auras around the Megalian, causing damage directly to the body. Meanwhile, the three sisters were attempting to corner the UFO in a pincer. As Magistrate attempted to lock-on to the nimble virus and fire a cannon shot at it, the twins were circling around to either 'side' and rushed in to smack the UFO with large hammers. Beams of light tried to tag the virus from three angles as the three women attempted to guide their attacks. Their wings beat furiously as they tried to surround the UFO as it dodged and weaved, trying to beat it to death or blow holes in it. It was quite the dogfight.

After their attempted attack runs, the three women broke off slightly from the battle, and began to dodge and weave on their own. They spread out, going off in various directions of only a few feet, as they were focusing more on evading than moving vast distances. Their heads moved from side to side as they tried to track all the various attacks coming at them, responding with changes in their flight path as they could. Drago continued to pursue the Megalian-E2, or the BlueUFO (V2) if the Megalian was deleted, or even the PulseBulb2 if the other two were deleted. He sent three screaming rocket punches toward his foe, attempting to pummel it into deletion. Acrid smoke and bright flame bellowed from the wrist of each rocket fist as they spun and weaved through the air like unholy tendrils. Eventually, they impacted and/or exploded somewhere. Hopefully, they did so in the face of the enemy, instead of in open air or on the ground.

Drago winged away from his attack and brought his hands up above him. Blinding light exploded from his hands to bathe the whole field. The girls tried to shield their eyes, but it was no use. As everyone began to see spots, Drago took that opportunity to move evasively. He also watched the battlefield from above as he tried to keep himself from being taken down by various attacks from below. Although most of his opponents could also fly, so he would have to pay attention to the airspace around him as well.

To help him keep control of the sky, Drago summoned his aerial ally. A portal opened nearby and the familiar P-47D Thunderbolt with a dragon-mouth insignia nose art (similar to the popular shark-face insignia, but dragon themed) came roaring through. Its engine growled like a big cat and its propeller spun rapidly as it came up to combat speed. The little humanoid inside took stock of the situation before picking the weakest looking target. Adjusting its goggles, it pitched the plane's nose toward the virus. Drago directed it as best he could before his eyes became unfocused, feeding the pilot target information. The pilot brought the creature into its gunsights and unloaded upon it. The DAKKA-DAKKA-DAKKA of its machine guns filled the air as it shot at the virus from above, bullet casings raining down onto the ground from high above. After its strafing run the plane pitched back up, keeping to its place in High Altitude, ready for another run. Thankfully it wasn't around when the Blinder was used, so it would be free to fight without that affliction for the remainder of its stay.

"I'll handle what I can down here." Sparks and Lucky both protected themselves with a thin bubble like barrier. "Lucky, stay on your toes until we feel them out first. You haven't gotten upgraded far enough to take this lightly." Then without warning Sparks took one step forward, then vanished, leaving a simple decoy of himself in his place. The immediate burst of speed had him reappear behind the two Elewasp viruses.

A magnetic energy pulled one of the handles at his side to unclip and fly into the palm of his right hand. The samurai swung the handle, creating a long controlled flow of electrical energy. The current shaped into the ElecSword as he slashed from left to right, attempting to cut down both wasp before they moved. With a steady hand, he followed up with a second stroke. This one coming from the opposite direction, and looked to damage, or finish of the wasp had they not gotten away or countered.

Sparks body felt light as a feather upon finishing the dual slash combo attack. He took a delicate step backwards, keeping his head up in anticipation of incoming attacks. Then he suddenly hopped to his left, with the same goal of remaining unscathed.

Back where the group had started, Lucky was mimicking his owners actions. First an evasive step backwards, as he remained weary, and kept his gaze focused on the enemies around him. Then a swift movement to his left, knowing that once his Barrier was finished, there wouldn't be much he could hope to defend himself with.

Over Sparks' left shoulder, a tri-barreled rocket launcher came into existence. He wrapped his left arm under it, hugging the underside of the weapon to support it's weight. Joseph was only providing the chips, but giving no input on targets, so he scanned the field all around narrowing his selections for each projectile. The loud "THUMP" sounded off when the first rocket fired from the launcher. Sparks had tightened his senses before pulling the trigger, he hoped to limit any folly that would cause his attack to be off target. The rocket zoomed towards the metallic body that was the Pulsebulb. "THUMP, THUMP." Back to back the second and third destructive projectiles ripped apart the distance between them and their respective targets, each heading towards a different CannonGuard.

With no more rockets to let loose towards his enemies the samurai tossed the launcher to the side. As it hit the ground it burst into tiny shards of junk data that drained harmlessly into the net below. Sparks took one more evasive movement. This time he would try to weave any attacks with a short sidestep to his right.

"Thanks for the assist." Sparks said rubbing at his eyes, readjusting to the light. Lucky roared with excitment once he was able to see again. Then opening his jaws as wide as he could, a firey EarthDragon burst from the pup's open mouth and slid across the ground, heading straight for the Cirkill virus, looking to swallow it, and anything else in it's path. A trail of lava panels were left in the dragon's wake. Once the virus finished its mission of destruction, it vanished, and Lucky jumped backwards with a chance of avoiding an oncoming attack.

Sparks split into two once again. His clone moved to the right to draw the wasp's attention, while Sparks summoned a Bandcoon. He sent the furry little virus on the usual mission to grab data from his target. The target this time was the Elewasp. "Go get me an elec chip buddy!" The Navi said as he tossed the tame virus towards the bee, then he moved in right behind the Bandcoon. The theif went low, while Sparks swung his blade high, slicing from left to right in attempt to finish off the wounded blind virus. The Bandcoon jetted off into the distance to wait, while Sparks stepped quickly to his left to avoid a possible counter strike.

Both Lucky and Sparks refreshed their barriers just in case they had been destroyed in the battle. The samurai held his hand up and fired off three powerful flying fist. Two of the rocket punches wooshed through the air towards the remaining GuardCannon, while the third whizzed off towards the Megalian. Sparks hoped it would support Drago just in case it was giving them trouble.

Finding themselves at an interesting locale in the NAXA network, DragonierMan and Sparks divided up the work yet again, with the former heading towards the skies in order to intercept the fliers, with DragonierMan taking the fast route through his DashAttack. Unfortunately, his speedy approach seemed to be a little bit off the mark, and he soared right past the Megalian instead. His comrades followed along, though oddly enough, the UFO they passed by seemed to not quite care about their entrapment and headed straight down towards Sparks.

The CannonGuards quickly locked onto Suzume and DragonierMan and fired, though Suzume was able to offset the attack with her barrier, while DragonierMan managed to avoid the attack entirely with the speed boost that the DashAttack granted him earlier. Down on the ground, Sparks produced a decoy of himself on the ground, leaving the UFO that was headed for him in the dust. He reappeared before the Elewasps, and began to cut them down with vigor. Unfortunately, due to a slight miscalculation in his second slash, he missed one of the wasps on the second slash before he landed back on the ground.

Meanwhile, the airborne people were targeting some of the viruses to first undergo their assault. DragonierMan breathed out some powdery spores towards the Megalian to attempt to bring it down, but unfortunately the attack came up short again, and the Megalian continued to hover about with impunity. The UFO, on the other hand, would be on the receiving end of a barrage of cannon fire and hammer swings, with Magistrate holding her position and Suzume and Aya pursuing the UFO to its current spot on the hill. It managed to avoid two of the attacks successfully, but Suzume managed to land her hammer on the saucer-shaped virus and smashed it to smithereens.

DragonierMan then elected to press the attack on the Megalian with a strong showing of meteoric rocket punches, but though his attack was more accurate this time around, the Megalian was ready with evasive maneuvers and evaded all of three of the flying fists successfully. Meanwhile, the PulseBulb saw Magistrate somewhat isolated from her peers and elected to dash up to her to take advantage of the situation. Luckily, its sonar attack missed handily, and Magistrate didn't even need to do much to avoid it. Further off, a shot from afar headed straight for Suzume, who saw it coming and dodged it appropriately. Lucky, left to deal with the nearby Cirkill, also managed to sidestep its first attack, as the Cirkill began a high-speed circling maneuver around the canine companion.

Suddenly, DragonierMan pulled out his Blinder battlechip, which immediately began to affect all vision on the field with its blinding light. Reacting to the light, the CannonGuards shuttered themselves off, but they were unable to avoid its effects in time. The Megalian instinctively counterattacked against the nearest entity it could find, which happened to be DragonierMan, but unfortunately it only managed to scrap against his barrier. The remaining Elewasp tried to dash over to Sparks to attack, but it hit thin air as it too was blinded.

In the confusion, the PulseBulb halted its movements and clamped shut in front of Magistrate, and the Maru and the CirCrush continued attacking their previous targets to little effect. Sparks and DragonierMan then summoned up a few hard-hitting attacks to try to finish off a few more viruses, with the former bringing out the powerful Magnum and the latter with his trusty AirRaid summon. The Magnum was quite successful, taking out a solid chunk of the CannonGuards as well as completely deleting the PulseBulb. The FighterPlane summoned by the AirRaid chip had a roaring time as well, its machine guns destroying one of the CannonGuards decisively.

The opening moments of the battle favored the navis this time. As the battle unfolded into an evasive brawl, several of the viruses were hunted down and deleted without them scoring any significant blows on their opponents. Refreshing their passive defenses, the dragoniers continued to push their momentum. First, they had to deal with the blindness that effected everything. Their allies were not capable of removing their debilitation, so the dragoniers opted for two of their number to remain blind for the moment to give their allies a fighting chance. DragonierMan and Magistrate continued the pursuit of the only airborne target, the Megalian-E2, curing their own blindness in the process; while Suzume and Aya took to the air and cured the blindness from Sparks and Lucky.

As Suzu and Aya were blind, they would not be that effective in combat until the status faded. In the meantime they decided to at least be somewhat productive and cast some protections upon the field. Suzu, not trusting that dangerous device that held the Blue Mystery Data, tapped into their folder and activated the Barrier100Protection: Combined Damage of 100 HP

battlechip. A strong barrier would form a tight seal around the BMD, hopefully protecting it from any harm until they could clean up the remaining enemy force. Aya, already using her own shadows to remove the darkness from Lucky's eyes, tapped into the folder and drew out the Shadow2Effect: Shadow

battlechip to wrap the large dog in a hazy mist. The enemy didn't use any swords or other cleaving weapons, so Lucky would be difficult to hit for some time, allowing him to concentrate on combat. Having finished their job, the twins made evasive maneuvers around in the sky, attempting to avoid any attacks from the blinded enemy below.

Meanwhile, Drago and Magi flew after the Megalian-E2. Drago threw a wooden boomerang at the electrical virus as a beam of light came from Magi's hand to tag the evasive virus and guide her strike. The earthen blade spun like a buzzsaw, slicing through the air in a whirling arc toward the Megalian, before a bolt of energy shot out of Magi's hand. Her attack was similar to the one she used against the BlueUFO (V2). The cannon shell screamed across the sky behind the twirling, sharp airfoil. Neither had the power to delete the heavy-headed virus, but either could cause some damage.

Magi broke off to evade a counter attack, while Drago pressed on. His fists became enlarged with destructive fury as he rushed down the airborne virus. He then attempted to lay hands on it, beating against the virus' body and head with several powerful punches. Each successful impact to the gut would tear right through the Megalian's aura like tissue paper and cause heavy damage to the body of the virus, assuming the dragonier could hit it. He wailed at the virus until it was deleted or he ran out of energy. If the virus succumbed to his earlier assault or this new one and he still had energy in his fists, he would switch targets and dive upon the CirCrush below. His bounty target had been pretty much left alone in the opening salvo, and now he set his sights on finishing it off while it was blinded. Any remaining energy in his fists would be set upon the body of the speedy CirCrush, punching it until it too succumbed to Drago's strength. He even caused a massive fist of stone to fall upon the CirCrush after, attempting to crush it and anyone unfortunate enough to be near it, under a meteoric fist.

Meanwhile, the pilot of the P-47D Thunderbolt set its sights upon the evasive Maru-10. With Drago spotting for the pilot above and feeding it targeting data, the pilot took hold of the yoke and veered toward the Maru, opening up on it with the plane's machine guns. The BUDDA-BUDDA-BUDDA of its guns howled as the bullets tore through the space between them. The plane pitched and yawed as it chased the virus through the air, riddling the ground below with brass casings, and tiny holes and pockmarks where it missed. The indicators blared that the fighter had enough ammunition and fuel for one more pass after this before the pilot would have to return home, and it would make the best of what it had for the moment. Hopefully, the help from Drago's enhanced accuracy would compensate for some of the lowered accuracy suffered in trying to fight the evasive Maru-10.

The theif went low, while Sparks swung his blade high, slicing from left to right in attempt to finish off the wounded virus.

He hopped backwards this time to create a little space between and distort the aim of his already blind enemies.

Sparks body became ingulfed n flames as he activated the last chip his operator chose to slot in. He focused in on the Cirkill, if it was still standing. Then as with as much speed he could muster, he became a living fire ball as he looked to slam into the virus with a powerful fiery tackle

Most of the field was blinded, but one side of the battle was swift to cure the malady from most of their operatives, while the virus side of the encounter was not so fortunate. As Drago and Magistrate gave pursuit to the Megalian it wove through the air, flying blind as it attempted to orient itself. Status cures were quickly passed out below as well, and Lucky found his sight clearing just in time to successfully dodge away from a crackling glitch ball, launched his way from across the area; the Maru seemed to have fixed on him as the nearest target it cold distinguish clearly, as long as its senses were impaired.

Not far away, the remaining wasp paid no heed to Sparks' decoy, flying directly through its harassment without hesitation as it gave chase to Sparks himself. Even so, however, it couldn't manage to connect with its stinger and it quickly fell victim to the invasive rifling of his bandcoon ally when it got close. A moment after the small critter jumped clear, Sparks turned and cut the virus from the air neatly.

Lucky was finding himself the target of more than one virus, given his more stranded position, and the circling virus continued to fixate on him, arcing around for more shots. Impaired as it was, it missed the support program, but its own movements were making it difficult for Lucky to target it cleanly as it zipped about his periphery. Releasing the dragon upon it seemed plagued by similar problems, and though the chip-powered summon chased the fast-moving virus around Lucky in a full circle if couldn't seem to connect its bite, and faded out after surrounding the support in an area of fresh lava.

Back up in the air, Drago sent a spinning projectile forward to catch the Megalian as it flew, but its weaving motions saw the boomerang pass by it, both going out and coming back, by ill-chance, however, Magistrate was tracking its dodges more precisely and at the perfect moment unloaded a carefully aimed shot that blasted apart its heavy aura. Aya and Suzume were mainly focused on defending their allies, and other important targets, but they didn't manage to go without notice. The cannon popped open its shutter, and though it still seemed to be struggling to target it made a pin-point shot at Aya while she was busy taking care of Lucky. Fortunately for her, the shot only stripped off her barrier, lacking the power to do any more.

With the Megalian now unprotected and its movements analysed, Drago found it much easier to begin slamming his fists into the troublesome virus. His first blow spun it sideways, and led to its attempt at an attack missing by a wide mile, while his follow up destroyed the pesky thing. At the same moment, below, Sparks repaid the cannon turret for is attack on Aya with a triple attack of his own. The first clanged against its closing front guard, but the remaining two fists slammed in from each side and destroyed the installation at last.

With only a couple of targets left, Drago made a dive on the CirCrush as it strafed Lucky, but he slammed down to the ground just as it slipped out of the path. At the last moment, its circling altered, and it was now attempting to switch its strafe pattern to Drago himself, but sparks was finished with his previous targets, and his slightly removed vantage point was enough to let him crash its party in a very final manner, destroying it with his scorching tackle.

This only left the Maru, over the far side of the valley, and though Drago attempted to crush it beneath his massive fist assault, the slippery electrical puff ball seemed to get away from the attack before it could land. Coming in from a different angle, Drago's fighter plane had better luck, its consistent spray of fire allowing it to connect at least a good handful of its shots, despite the virus' hard-to-target nature. It looked badly weakened, by this stage, and began to flee towards the bride in the centre for some reason, where the device, and the mystery data resided; one could only wonder what it must be thinking, being the only virus remaining now against a field of very many hostile navis and supports.

DragonierMan, Magistrate, Suzume, Aya, and the P-47D Thunderbolt all fly after the last remaining Maru-10 virus. A little over two dozen shots zip through the air as five individuals pour white-hot bolts into the evasive Maru. In its weakened state, most of the blasts and bullets would chew the poor virus to pieces. With nothing to divide attention, everything was converging on one lone creature. I mean there was the Dangerous-Looking Device, but it hadn't done anything yet. Also the barrier would hopefully protect it. Just in case, Drago put a casing of dragon scales around the BMD, under the barrier.

After they attempted to slaughter the Maru-10 with impressive firepower, the pilot saluted and disappeared through a nearby portal. Leaving the battlefield.

Sparks and his pup followed suit in assiting their comrades attempts to finish off the speedy little enemy. Lucky was first to fire off a small ball of flame that would further damage the creature had it managed to stay healthy, with a quick dodge to his left. Sparks didn't worry about defense at all this time around. He ran towards the center of the field, then flashed in close to the Maru with a quick feint like movement, then unleashed a lethal slash of flame from the other katana handle. Two more flaming slashes followed, only this time they were far more powerful upon the activation of his FireSword chip.

The swordsmanship was ever so delicate as he danced to his left before slashing once more with his blade of embers. The flames dispersed, revealing a silvery null oriented katana. Sparks used the Katana to continue his onslaught of sword combos, while their group looked to go overboard in finishing off the last remaining virus.

With just one target left, the battle was more or less concluded. Drago and his team chased the Maru down as it attempted to cross the bridge, while Sparks and Lucky came at it from the other side, to block its escape. As Sparks got his feet off the scorching lava, to some relief, and easily crossed over the magnetised panels of the channel edge, the Maru wavered, then turned back as though to run the other way, only to head directly into the barrage of pin-point fire laid down by its pursuers. fortunately, everyone involved in the clean up attacked with precision shots, and the ominous device holding their potential reward remained untouched.

As the Maru flickered out, this left the group able to claim their spoils. Sparks' bandcoon caught up to him, offering a small packet of data that did, indeed, seem like a chip he could use, though for the most part the rest of their foes broken down only into salvageable zenny and fragments.

A closer look at the complicated device made it clear that it was some kind of spring-loaded trap. and jostle or bump would probably cause all of its extended spines to drive inwards and skewer the contents, but it had survived the engagement without being upset, and now it would be an easy enough task to simply reach in and access the crystal, if they wished to, without agitating it. Elsewise, the valley seemed to have calmed down and it began to return to whatever odd activity it had been performing before they arrived.

-=Viruses=-
CannonGuard2CannonGuard2 (CannonGuard)

CannonGuards are automatically in guard mode unless they are attacking. When guarding, the turret is protected by a shutter that will stop any and all non-breaking attacks from the front. This shutter cannot be destroyed, even by a breaking attack, so long as the virus exists. The shutter does not protect the turret portion of the virus against attacks from the back or sides. The base of the virus is also immune to non-breaking damage.

Special: All attacks that target this virus are treated as being two accuracy ranks lower (i.e. A is treated as C) against that virus.
Special: Can use Barrier once.

Open BMD?

DragonierMan came down to earth after the battle ended. He brought forth an Untrap subchip, slotting it into the BMD.

Currently available Untraps: 4.

Use an Untrap on the BMD and open it (currently available Untraps: 3).

NaviCust: Millions activates. BMD provides only zenny to DragonierMan.

Sparks and Lucky followed suit and approached the Mystery data. "Was a good fight right" said the samurai as he placed a hand on the untrapped data, "Our first roughe MD, lets see how it goes."

((Yes))
As Drago reached in to apply the untrap and activate the data, he crystal shuddered slightly. Nothing happened for a moment, then it shuddered again, then began to vibrate rapidly, almost quivering. A moment later, the entire crystal burst outwards in a flow of zenny that practically inundated the gathered group.

Drago and Sparks Both receive an additional 8400z.
Having won the slots, DragonierMan and Sparks received a hefty cash prize. Drago turned to Sparks after counting his coin, "Let's meet back here in about an hour. I just got enough to finish up Magistrate's upgrades, with some scratch to spare. Is that ok with you?" he asked. If yes, then the four dragoniers would leave in a beam of light.

[DRAGONIERMAN JACKED OUT!!]
"That sounds good let's go take a quick break Lucky." Sparks responded following his teammate upward into the sky in the form of a lighting bolt.

((Sparks jacked out))

~SOMETIME LATER~

DragonierMan, Magistrate, Suzume, and Aya reappeared in the spot they had originally left from. They planted a beacon flag to mark their position for Sparks and Lucky while they got comfortable. They even unrolled a few blankets on the ground to have a picnic. Baskets of sandwiches and thermoses of various drinks were enjoyed as they waited. They also took their armor off so they could work on oiling the leather and banging out any dents in the metal.
