Joseph had taken the bus to get to ACDC town. He ran inside without really speaking, as he didn't really have much money, he wanted to avoid eye contact with the shop owner. Walked over to the newer, fancier chip trader model. Slotted in two of his duplicate cannons and the previously acquired Wrecker battlechips, in hopes of getting something a little more useful.

Behind the counter, Soryu glanced up from his PET, which was displaying a readout that he was scrolling through leisurely. "Morning," the shopkeeper responded, before his eyes went back to reading. The real focus at the moment was the machine sitting in the corner, waiting for chips to devour. And devour it did, as Mazer fed a set of nine into the machine, causing it to shudder and whir briefly, before spitting out a set of three chips.

The door to the sleepy ACDC chip store opened quickly, as a stumpy young man rushed into the store space, heading immediately for the chip trader. Muttering something about a "stupid broken trader in the hall", he quickly extracted a few chips from his pockets, and loaded them all into the trader.

With one chip already in his hand, the stumpy man wandered over from the counter towards the trader and dropped it into the slot, before fishing out a couple more to feed into it.

The machine soullessly ate the chips that the man had given up and happily spit out one one in return. Maybe if the man were to try once more, he would face better luck.
