"IN A HURRY?!"

The shopkeeper reached into his pants to take out the surprisingly new (and clean) chips onto the table. He swiped the money right off Chris and slammed it into the cash register, almost breaking the machine in half

"Here you go"

Chris was stunned at how quickly the transaction had taken place. He scooped up the chips, said "Gee, thanks!" and hurried out of the shop.
...Why this place seems to be the only location to buy battlechips is something Shamus can't help but wonder. Surely there has to be more then just this place and the internet to buy chips from!? But until Shamus can find someplace else... it seems he will just have to deal with it.

Shamus walks inside after standing outside for a few minutes, and heads to the counter.

"Excuse me, I would like to buy 2 Energybombs and a minibomb." He informs the shopkeep, ready to pay the 1700 zenny price tag.
"Planning on blowing things up, are we?"

With that greeting, Soryu proceeded to reach into his pocket and pull a chip out, throwing it into the air. While it was in the air, he grabbed two more chips from under the counter and tossed them up. As the first one dropped, he caught it behind his back and slapped it onto the counter as the other two fell perfectly on top of each other a few inches from the other chip. "Wow, that was lucky," he said, smiling. The shopkeeper then collected payment and saw Shamus off with a cheery "Have a nice day."

With a simple 'k', Shamus leaves the store with his goods.
"So... Two brothers and a sister, and all four of your are all trapped by an obsolete computer into cleaning up that big River thing on the Net?" asked Mill again as he wandered the shelves of the chip shop.

"Yeah, something like that. Undertaker is just a name that developed on its own, although occasionally we do get some jobs like that." answered Anyis, getting tired after having explained her tumultuous history several times on their return to Electopia.

"Like... funerals? If you do that, why haven't I gotten any e-mails about it?" questioned the Operator once more.

"I haven't had a chance to get my new contact info around yet. Someone will figure it out soon enough and it'll be back to business as usual, so whatever." explained the Navi in turn.

"Okay... Well, uh, that's a pretty wild story to take in all at once. I think I'll just stop here for now." sighed Mill, somewhat regretting having picked up this Navi in the first place.

"Probably a good idea. So... Do they have that chip?" asked Anyis with a sparkle in her eye. That one chip from the tournament folder... Please, please...

"Lessee... Boomerang... Bubbler... Cannon... Ah, here it is!" announced Mill as he plucked a certain chip off its rack. "One ColdPunch. And the price isn't bad either."

"Yay!" shouted Anyis in utter glee. Really, it was a fist made of ice. Was there really anything else she could ask for?

"Oh, and this looks pretty good too..." muttered Mill as he found an AquaKnife. "I could use a new sword-type chip, and something like this would suit you well."

"You sure know how to win me over!" grinned Anyis as she put on her best cute face to make sure Mill didn't change his mind on this purchase at the last minute.

"Uh... Yeah..." shuddered Mill at her strange attempt to sucker him. "Anyway, this should do for now." Mill clutched the pair of Battlechips in his hand and walked up to the counter. He pulled his account's payment card out of his wallet and rang the bell for some service. "Hello? I'd like to buy these two chips."

(Buying ColdPunch and AquaKnife; 6000z)
Soryu strolled on up to the counter, grabbing the chips from underneath the desk. "Hey bud, you really have time to be out here grabbing chips right now? The final match of the tournament is coming on now. Red vs. Pianissimo! This stuff is like history in the making!" Soryu exclaimed, watching the TV excitedly. "Of course, all of the folders use common chips, so it's not as exciting as it could be, but still..." he trailed off, still watching the screen as he counted off Mill's money and put it up, then dished out the chips. "Go on home and watch, okay?" he finished, plopping back into his chair to watch.

Though slightly winded from all her running around, Sabrina made her way into the chip shop, headed for the counter, and smacked 1100z down on the counter. "Okay, gotta make this quick...2 MiniBombs and 2 MiniEnergyPacks, if you please!
"CHIP PURCHASE!!"

Soryu raised his fist up into the sky and had a face like he was constipated.

"APPROVED!"

The shopkeeper slammed his fist against the counter, smashing the glasses with ease and hit a conveniently placed button beneath. All four walls of the shop opened up to reveal four robotic arms, holding each of Sabrina's requested upgrades, and surrounded the poor, confused operator with it.

"Thank you thank you thank you for your purchase!"

Dave walked into the shop, looking around at all of the people and the wide display of chips.

He looked at the price list, did some rough calculations, arrived at an answer he liked, and walked up to the counter.

"Hey, could I get a MiniEnergyPack?" He shifted uncomfortably as he asked the question.
Seeing another customer walk into his not-very-popular shop, Soryu grumbled from in front of his TV. "Just a minute," said Soryu as he stood up and rummaged in his pockets for a bit. Pulling out a rather dirty subchip, he snagged a cloth from inside his shirt pocket and began polishing it. His hands looked like a blur as the shopkeep made the item shine as bright as the sun. He put the shiny chip onto the counter.

"Fifty zenny."
Dave fumbled with his wallet for a moment, placing the required change on the counter.

"Fifty zenny... I think..." He squinted. "Man, I really need new glasses."
Dave looked intently at the pile of money he had placed on the counter.

"Wait, that's only forty." He rummaged through his wallet, then placed the remaining ten zenny on the counter.

"That's fifty zenny." He grinned sheepishly. "My bad." Taking his purchase off of the counter, he nodded at Soryu. "Thanks, mate."
Toni slid in through the door. Her hands were jammed firmly in her pockets. When she took her left out, her zenny card was between two fingers. She snapped the card down on the counter.

"Gutpunch and Bambooknife. Total of 4200 zenny. Hurry it up."
Soryu wandered out of the back room and lazily handed Toni her requested chips. He then took Toni's card and scanned it to deduct the money from it, taking his own sweet time in the process before handing it back. Was he deliberately being this slow?

"Thank you and come again."

Toni took back her zenny card, slid the chips into her pocket, and vanished out the door like a puff of smoke.
((Bump because I'm not entirely sure if my chip purchase has been approved.))
Soryu speedily grabbed the money from off the counter and pushed the chip on the counter a bit closer to Dave. "Sorry, I suppose I should have been a bit clearer. You're good to go, and thank you for waiting," he said. Though he hadn't moved his hand from his side after taking the money, when Soryu lifted it up to wave the money he'd grabbed was already gone. As far as Dave had seen, the zenny could never have left the shopkeeper's hand. Odd.

"Come again," Soryu said cheerfully.
