Front Counter

Dave grinned at Soryu.

"Thanks, mate. "Ave a good day!"

Vita entered the store in a little bit of an annoyed mood, but as she got into the line-up behind some other customers, she calmed herself and instead took a look around the shop. There were a lot of prices displayed all over the place as well as advertisements for sales and all kinds of things. Nothing she could afford from her Busting budget, of course. At least not yet. It had been a pretty fruitful day thus far.

She looked over the counter when she finally got her turn at it, and was fairly polite in her request. "Hi, um. Could I get two mini energy packs and a, hm. One small energy pack?" She asked, looking up before back down. She slipped out exact change and set it onto the counter.

As Soryu laid down for a nap, LinkMan projected himself out of the PET onto the front counter. Hrgh, how dare Soryu take my spot as the chip trade admin. This bites, the Navi said, his discontentment quite apparent on his face. Then, a customer appeared. Looking at Soryu snoring behind the counter, LinkMan saw an opportunity for revenge on his operator. He turned to the customer and flashed a smile.

Two Minis and a Small? You got it, the Navi said as he pressed a button on his arm with a beep. Then, the whole shop began to light up in green. A mechanical voice rang out ominously.

LINKMAN OVERRIDE COMPLETE. APPROVING PURCHASE, the robotic voice announced, before some mechanical arms blasted their way out of the chip displays, holding the operator's purchases.

LinkMan smiled as he said, There you go!

Vita was a little surprised to see a Navi take over the control of the desk, and even shook and looked around a little shocked when the room started talking. She gave Linkman a nervous smile and then turned to the mechanical arm with her purchase. She held her hands out and retrieved them and then back away, bowing out of some kind of weird respect. "Thanks a lot, uh," She fumbled, trying to find something to say. "Cutie." She finished, unable to find anything else to say and smiling at saying something strange.

She ran off, needing to get back to her connection port before Zetaman got himself into too much trouble.

Returning to Electopia through unknown means, Shin first thought he'd stop by the Chip Shop.

"It'll be nice to have something new to get... how about a Boomerang and an Areagrab?" Shin proposed, walking into the shop.

"Good idea! Another Boomerang and Areagrab would be a lot with our busting!" Red replied excitedly.

"Alright alright, guess we'll work with that," Shin chuckled, reaching the front counter. "Hey Soryu, one Boomerang1 and an Areagrab for my sweet tournament victor here," the self-proclaimed ace called out, grinning like an idiot as he lay the money on the table.

At first his back was turned towards Shin, but as he turned around to face the young Operator his red eyes became visible. Anger filled them and they even seemed to glow if you used your imagination. "Victor?" he muttered as he walked over towards Shin, then climbed onto the counter and sat down on it to stare at Shin directly. "Victor?" he muttered again, then scoffed and spoke to him, "I should have been the great champion there! Darn kids." He leaned back and took the chips from beneath the counter with a gracious motion, then swung his body back to present the chips to Shin. With his other hand, he grabbed the money and scoffed again as he swung his body around to turn his back towards Shin once again.

"Ah right, you were there too. Man there were too many people so I kind of forgot," Shin chuckled, scratching the back of his head sheepishly.

"Well, good business to you," the ace said, waving as he walked out the door.

Aoi quietly poked his head into the front door as he quickly glanced at the display of sub chips. Taking a good glance at all the different chips, Aoi looked at the prices(though he had to stand on his toes to see the top part.) and asked in a polite tone as he brought out 200 zenny. "Excuse me sir, but can I get 4 mini energy packs? My navi just fought a heelnavi who didn't look like a heel and she needs something to perk her up. Is this enough?"

Soryu stood and looked at the miniature operator, trying to stifle a chuckle. "Heel- Do you even know- Never mind. Here's your order," he said as he reached behind the counter, throwing four of the packs into the air. The packs landed in a neat pile on the floor.

"You should be able to reach that," the shopkeeper smirked.

Aoi looked at Soryu as it was pretty obvious what he said was funny. It wasn't his fault the navi couldn't properly spell hell. Still, when the shop keeper decided to drop the chips on the floor, he quietly picked up the chips and bowed politely. "Ummmm, thank you..."

Stupid lack of testosterone and missed puberty... at least he didn't call him a girl.

Calmly opening the door as he walked through, Zanzo made his way to the front counter.

"Hey there. I'd like a Bubbler, along with seven Minibombs, please." He said.

"What're you going to do with that many-" Soryu started, but then stopped himself from shooting down a sale. He'd had less and less customers nowadays, now that people had started the habit of trading through the board he operated. Maybe he could consider getting a cut of all that action sometime. But not now, he had a customer.

"Right, Bubbler, seven Minibombs," the shopkeeper said as he went to a nearby box filled with chips, stuck his hand inside, and pulled out eight chips, exact on the first try. Expected of the chip shop owner, who quickly placed the purchase on the counter.

"Have a nice day."

"Thanks, man." Zanzo said as he gathered the chips. He gave a wave as he headed over to the chip trader...

Walking up to the front counter, Marius tapped a few time onto his PET screen and took out a small card towards Soryu. "May I purchase two Minibombs? This cash card should have enough."

Requesting: [MiniBomb] Battlechips x2 [500[s]z[/s] x2]

"Oh, two minibombs? Right, one second," Soryu said as he went to his box of junk chips and dug his hand into it once more. He pulled out the minibomb chips and placed them on the counter, taking the cash card and throwing it away somewhere.

"Lots of people buying minibombs nowadays... sigh. Well, have a nice day."

"Well, who can say no to business?" Saying his farewell to the shopkeeper, Marius left the counter of the shop and headed directly towards the chip trader right beside the shop.

Let's see... Harke said as he looked up at the sign above the shop. It read 'Soryu's Chip Shop'. He hesitated about going in, looking at the amount of people stuffed inside the shop. Each of them walked out, at first with sad faces, some angry, but then a load of happy people started pouring out. He wondered what everyone was so happy about at first, but then dismissed the thought as the last of the crowd left the shop doors. He entered with some confidence, and started looking around. Wandering from chip to chip, he examined each of the chip statistics through his PET database program.

Then, he came across a chip that looked really promising. Walking up to the counter, he said, Uh, I'd like a WindRacket, please. 2100 zenny, if I'm not mistaken. He then rummaged in his pockets for a bit, pulled out his golden zenny card, and put it on the counter.

"FORE!!!" The instant Harke placed his card on the table, something came flying from the rear of the store, landing gently on the counter next to it. Conveniently, it happened to be a WindRacket battlechip. As the operator examined it, the chip shop owner raced to the front of the store...sporting tennis whites and a racket. "One WindRacket chip! That'll be 2100z!" Without waiting for a reply, Soryu snatched the card, ran it through a scanner, and returned it. "There you go! Have a nice day!" The Sharoian turned and fled back, but before he did, he had one more thing to say...

"BREAK POINT!"

Whistling a tune as she walked in, Sabrina moved up to the counter, already know what she was going to get due to looking at the shop's wares ahead of time. "A WindRacket and MiniBomb, please!"

...Hmm. An order like that made it sound like she was about to play NetTennis or something. Oh well.

That was weird. Oh well, he thought as he picked up the chip, nodded a thanks to the eccentric shopkeep, and went for the trader he saw in the corner sometime back.
