Friday night stroll

HangMan dusted off his shoulder as the damage was quickly repaired thanks to his energy-siphoning noose, and took a moment to relish the sight of the CannonGuard left defenseless at his feet. He almost felt like he needed a monologue or some sort of haughty laugh and a mustache to stroke, but it wasn't like he'd caught a Navi at the end of his rope; it was just a turret.

He went back to business as usual, and stabbed forward again in an attempt to put an end to the virus, to leave him alone with the GMD on the rooftop. If the virus fell, his claws would've deactivated and reverted back to his black-gloved hand, then he would've calmly walked to the GMD and attempted to open it. "Let's see what you have to offah," he mused to himself before taking a draw from his cigar.

ACTIONS
1-3. RageClaw1Damage: 40 + Slashing (Attack) OR 20 + Impacting (Throw)
Accuracy: B / B then B
Description: Creates an impressive bear claw. Can be used to slash or throw enemies or objects.
Duration: Until Overridden/Broken. Breaks automatically after 6 uses.
Element: Null
Special: Throw: The wielder must first grab the target to be thrown, then the target is thrown in the direction/area indicated. A second check is made if against another object/enemy. Throw deals damage to both thrown object/enemy and the second object/enemy. Damage occurs at point of collision with the ground/wall/ceiling/etc. or an object/enemy, not during initial grab attempt. Objects deal their max HP in damage (instead of the chip's damage) if they hit an object/enemy, then break. If they miss, the object just takes the chip's damage. This chip has a variety of uses.

CannonGuard

((Open GMD if battle over))
Finishing off the stunned out turret was more of a formality than anything else for HangMan at this point, and he had a moment to appreciate a neat piece of work, even if there wasn't really any true sentience there to snuff out. Ah well. More importantly, the spoils of battle! The CannonGuard itself surrendered sufficient data to replicate its well-aimed attacks, and once he made his way over to examine the data crystal, HangMan found a shield to compliment his new weapon. Not bad, all told.

-=Viruses=-
CannonGuardCannonGuard (CannonGuard)

CannonGuards are automatically in guard mode unless they are attacking. When guarding, the turret is protected by a shutter that will stop any and all non-breaking attacks from the front. This shutter cannot be destroyed, even by a breaking attack, so long as the virus exists. The shutter does not protect the turret portion of the virus against attacks from the back or sides. The base of the virus is also immune to non-breaking damage.

"Hm, nah that's what I like to see," HangMan chuckled as he was greeted by not one, but two battlechip packets; powerful ones at that. He picked up the two data packets, one in each hand, and examined them both before he flicked them up with his fingers as he prompted their download to the PET. Holly's reaction was muted compared to HangMan's, but she understood the usefulness of getting battlechips instead of a token amount of zenny.

"Well, time to git back to business," HangMan remarked before looking around; he was now on the roof, and he was primarily looking for something like a stairwell or walkway so he could leisurely walk back to the ground level. Though he'd managed to swing his way up, getting back down any other way likely meant something undignified like clambering down one of them nasty-lookin' storm drains.

((Ready for Battle #2))
HangMan's Friday night stroll came upon a strange sight, a huge area of glowing white panels. However, odd machines had been erected nearby to the east, were belching out purple sludge that was converting the glowing white panels into a posionous soup. Even the viruses assembled were losing their footing to the flood, trying to move west away from the poison, while some were getting caught in the sludge. The viruses included a zamboni machine, a jumping musical note, a little humanoid bomber kid, a floating fiery cloud, and a ghost.

-- Viruses --
DharmaDharma (Dharma)

Dharma move and dodge at average speed. Their puck attacks rebound off of the edges of the battlefield as if there were an invisible wall there. They can rebound up to 3 times before finally passing off of the field or dissipating into thin air. The pucks pass through anything they hit except boundary walls, terrain, and friendly viruses. The pucks can not damage other Dharmas. This virus cannot attack while moving.

It takes a BombLab virus an action to summon a BoyBomb, and another 2 to push it into attack range of the enemy. Once the explosive is in range, it will explode the very next turn. BoyBombs have StoneBody, and can be moved with special abilities, such as Knockback, Microburst, Pull, Gravity, and Telekinesis. After getting back to the ground level thanks to a conveniently-placed stairwell that led from the roof to the lobby, HangMan eventually happened upon a battle of terrestrial "good" and "evil." As he stepped on the Holy terrain, though he felt protected, the didn't like the glare or the general flashiness of the tiles, though it did make the highly reflective lenses of his glasses to nearly glow white, thus making him look even more unsettling and even manic.

if ya don't mind,"
HangMan requested while he continued to face the viruses with his permanently toothy grin. ["They're on the way,"] Holly responded while she picked out and slotted in the two chips.

A moment later, three swirling torrents of data materialized near the Navi, which quickly materialized into a trio of Moloko viruses, complete with their emoticon-esque faces, purple horns, and fluffy pink down coats. They bleated out a squeaky battle cry in unison before they charged towards their respective targets like a mini stampede. "Hm... remind me tah edit that laytah," HangMan said aloud as his toothy grin shifted to an equally toothy grimace, not pleased with the cute cotton candy-colored palette of the battlechip.

Their tiny hooves clicked and clattered over the holy panels, then transitioned to splashes as they charged over the poison. They seemed undeterred, though their pink fur was likely speckled with poison by the time they reached their targets: the Dharma, Melody, and Spooky. Once they got close enough to their foes, they lowered their heads to bring the points of their horns to bear, and hurtled forward in an attempt to headbutt/full-body tackle the viruses.

Meanwhile, HangMan started to move further to the west. Though the poisonous sludge was slightly less garish than the holy panels upon which he tread, he didn't want to get his shoes and slacks dirty. He also continued to keep his glasses-covered eyes on the viruses that would've likely responded to arrival with attacks, from which he'd try to duck and side-step to avoid.

He also had his own response that materialized in his right hand, a sawn-off shotgun. He took a drag of his cigar as he pointed the dual-barreled boomstick towards the oddly-shaped Dharma and Melody viruses, then exhaled as he refined his aim, seemingly undeterred by the wispy gray smoke that hissed from the unseen gaps between his teeth. Once he got them in his sights, he slowly pulled the trigger. The shotgun thundered with a fireball as it jolted back and up, its recoil reined in by HangMan's arm and shoulder. It only fired from one of its two barrels, but the handful of energy shot that sprayed towards the two viruses would be more than enough to put several holes in both, if they met their mark.

Dharma, Melody [+Assassin Bonus to Dharma]
As hangman happened upon the scene, the viruses were mostly distracted by the encroaching poison, and it gave the executioner a decent window to secure a surprise attack on them before they knew what was going on. The BombBoy was looking towards the belching vents from the edge of the holy, then materialised a large bomb and lined up as though to begin shoving it towards the poison vents, a grim expression under its back-turned cap as it prepared to brave the sludge. the spooky, hovering above the muck, teleported over to it and gave it a well-intentioned lick for good luck.

It was in this moment, as Hangman could see several of the other viruses scrambling away, that he launched his first assault, in the form over completely adorable sheep. the surprise stampede drew eyes, but the sheep proved less effective than he might have hoped; the spooky had warped away just before the sheep aiming for it arrived, and it skidded to a halt in the purple mess, confused. The one aiming for the Dharma almost crashed into the first, tumbling over into the poison with a splash and an apologetic bleating sound. the one that made for the melody had more luck, but the virus jolted up like an over-animated cartoon when it was struck, and rapidly began bouncing towards the holy-panel shoreline as quickly as it could once it landed.

Still in the clear, HangMan made good on his second shot, sliding forward to a better angle so he could mark the Dharma as it did its best to glide out of the poison, and hopefully catch the Melody too. The line was good, and he scored a decisive blow on the first target, but the erratic bouncing of the Melody as it made it to shore was just enough to confound his aim... unfortunately for it, the damage it had already taken slowed it enough that the damaging effects of the poison overcame it before it could reach the safety of the holy tiles, and it slumped down, then keeled over and expired in the sludge.

Watching the ordeal as it unfolded, the Volgear was the only virus that seemed to have noticed HangMan's sabotage, and it turned towards him, heaving internally for a moment before a wall of bright fire burst from the ground beneath the noose-themed navi's feet. Sly and quick, however, HangMan managed to dart back a step once more, just enough to shield himself from the flames without getting hurt.

, if yah please,"
he said as he haughtily chuckled, it seemed he was getting a bit of enjoyment out of this fight.

A few moments later, his right arm reformatted into what looked like a CannonDumb's gun turret, but with a gimballed laser-targetting attachment mounted to its frame. The laser seemed to calibrate itself before shining towards the Spooky virus. As soon as the targeting beam "painted" the virus, HangMan's then outstretched arm swung towards the virus with an oddly mechanical quickness to point the barrel so its bore sight was aligned with the targeting laser. Once the two aimpoints synched up, the cannon went off with a loud boom and a flash of fire as the solid projectile was fired directly towards the virus.

Another weapon had materialized in his left hand while he engaged the Spooky, this one was a cylindrical object that had a laser as well, but for a notably different purpose. After he fired the MarkCannon and let it dematerialize to leave his standard arm and hand behind, he crouched down and placed the laser trip-mine in front of him, with the laser pointed in the path of the bomb-pushing BombBoy. The bomb looked very sturdy, but he planned to use the Dynamite's explosive charge to destroy its summoner, instead of the bomb itself.

After he placed the bomb, he clenched black-gloved right hand into a fist, and pointed his forearm upwards as if he had a shield strapped to it. On queue, a charcoal gray rectangular slab rose up from the ground in front of the Navi. While it looked plain and featureless from the back, the front had a polished ruby-colored jewel on its "forehead" just above and between its two white, pupil-less eyes. Below that were etched channels that looked as if it had two flat arms crossed over its front. It stood silently in front of its master, like a rectangular sarcophagus, ready to strike with a lightning-fast bite to anything that dared to attack.

HangMan
Still casually picking his shots as the odd scene played out in front of him, HangMan's next target was to obliterate the spooky virus before it had any further chance to do anything. He did so with precision. The BombBoy continued to push his payload towards the poison vents, and would probably arrive at them in a few moments, but HangMan was ensuring that the mission would not go as planned; he carefully set his laser trip line so that it looked very much like the bomb that was being pushed would break the beam just before it reached its final destination. Behind the massive cube explosive, the BombBoy couldn't really see the danger.

The Volgear, the only one who had actively identified the other threat this peculiar group faced, attempted to blast HangMan again with another groundswell of fire, but this time its efforts were in vain through its own faltering accuracy, rather than HangMan's nimble feet. The fire did scorch his trip bomb, but not enough to set it off early or damage it.

As this went on, the Dharma, having made it to the holy panels and taking stock of the scene, now attempted to join its ally in dealing with the shadowy navi that had accosted them. Its puck bounced wildly around HangMan's vicinity as it attempted to bank a shot behind his newly-formed shield, but to no avail in the end; the attack never managed to rebound close enough to be a threat.

The BombBoy's progress was slower than he anticipated, so he still had a volatile explosive at his feet. He also had the slow march of poison coming in from the West, which was all the more reason to mosey on over to another location. HangMan kept the CurseShield raised in front of him, but he peered out from behind the slab-like shield before he began to move further to the East. next?"
the Navi asked aloud in his southeastern Netopian drawl.

The Navi's loyal Dominerd seemed to glide across the ground as its master moved further away from the explosive and encroaching sludge, still facing the Volgear and Dharma in its cross-armed placid state. A couple seconds later, a straight section of log materialized at HangMan's feet between him and the back of his sentient shield, just as he requested. If his shield still remained, he peered out from behind said shield with a toothy grin still plastered on his face, to confirm his targets, the Dharma and Volgear, were still there.

He brought his right foot back, prompting the Dominerd to rise several inches off the floor so it floated just above the log. HangMan then delivered a swift kick to the log, and sent it rumbling over the field to careen into his two targets. The trunk of the tree from which it was cut seemed to be straight enough, as it appeared to roll smoothly over the field as opposed to bumping and bucking about from any knots and imperfections on its surface.

If the log didn't come rumbling back after bouncing off one or both of his targets, HangMan simply summoned a duplicate log to take its place at his feet. Again the Dominerd, if it still remained, rose off the ground to allow room for HangMan to "catch" the rebounded log and/or launch a log back towards the remaining viruses residing on the glowing Holy terrain. "Nrrgh, kickin' sticks around... Theah's gotta be something moah dignified thahn this.." he mused to himself between draws of his cigar.

While HangMan repositioned himself, taking a bead on the two viruses closest to him, the BombBoy continued to wade through the poison with his payload, nearly completing his aim of, presumably, destroying the poison vents that continued to spread their corrosion across the area. Just as he reached the point, however, the large, bulky bomb crossed the laser and the shaped charge detonated down the line in a series of violent explosions. HangMan himself was lucky he'd moved away from the origin point of the blast. As the series of explosions ended, a final, far more deafening boom rocked the area, and the poison tide lapped one more time at the holy shore, then went still.

Once the smoke cleared, HangMan could see that the island containing the two vents had been completely destroyed, sunken beneath the surface of the sludge pool. By the same token, the pool was no longer being fed, and had stopped expanding. There was no sign of he virus of his bomb left anywhere on the field.

The Volgear seemed momentarily distracted by this turn of events, but the Dharma spun slightly to one side as HangMan released his first attack; the former virus took the log to what passed for its face, while the Dharma, safely avoiding, released a second puck in his direction. This attempt was far more accurate than the first, but this was only worse luck for the Dharma as the projectile clanged off HangMan's protective shield, which then appeared in front of the ill-fated virus. Its arms and maw opened with a deep groan, before it lunged and completely devoured it. The shield faded away, its work done, as HangMan repeated his attack, cracking the final virus a second time with another log.

The virus was still standing after both of these hits, due mainly to the protective effect of the terrain they were both standing on, and it sent a forward marching line of fire back towards the navi that had interfered. The attack wasn't accurate enough to strike HangMan himself, but it seemed like the virus was attempting to ward off any further logs that might be coming its way.

HangMan let out an amused cackle as his foes were consumed either by fire, or by an unholy, fanged shield. However, one virus remained; the fire-spewing Volgear. he groaned before he took off, and dashed towards the lone virus.

["Being a bit vain, aren't we?"] Holly commented through their private line as she slotted in the offending chip. A second later, his black-gloved right hand gripped the fluffy white pillow that materialized out of thin air with a flurry of shifting and reformatting data. "It's moah than that, I reckon. We have ahhselves a reputation to maintain," HangMan explained as he slid to a stop in front of the Volgear.

Instead of swinging the pillow like an ill-designed bludgeoning weapon, he gripped the other side with his left hand, so the flat sides faced HangMan and the Volgear respectively. He then drove both arms forward and stepped in, with the hopes of bashing and then pressing the pillow over the Virus's tiny eyes and massive mouth. "I doubt a customah would tahn to a business that deals with problems with pillahs, lahk some sorority pahty," he said to his NetOp with a grunt then shifted to the Volgear. If the Volgear managed to evade HangMan's first attempt to smother it, HangMan brought the pillow back so he could get a good look to where the Volgear maneuvered, then tried to slam it back down on the virus. "Nah do me a favah and take a dirt nap. Shh... shh..."

If he managed to connect, HangMan kept the pillow firmly pressed against the virus until it stopped making any movements and sounds, or started to fragment from deletion. While impractical, HangMan felt significantly more comfortable using the chip this way.

With the last of the viruses left on the field, HangMan extracted the last weapon available to him, which was... a pillow. Battlechip, 800z
"Hm, at least these insects ah cooperative," HangMan remarked before he tossed the pillow away. Said pillow rapidly fragmented and disappeared, leaving the Navi alone to pick up the spoils of the battle. HangMan rolled the cigar in his teeth as he spotted a battlechip packet, and gave a smokey, satisfied huff when he examined its contents.

He didn't make any other quips or remarks as he downloaded the data to the chip, then gathered up what remained of the zenny data. Once the battlefield was cleared, some of it required rather careful picking to avoid getting his gloves marred with poison, he started to make his way deeper into the network.

((Ready for Battle #3))
HangMan would soon find himself facing a a troublesome looking environment. A small island of holy panels was surrounded by a purple putrid looking lake of poison. The air was full of the lake's nasty aroma that any NormalNavi's nostrils would burn at the scent. The area of tainted water was surrounded by a most of cracked panels, with two stepping Giant Rocks possibly serving as stepping stones half way between the cracked and holy terrain, one a few feet from HangMan, the other on the other side also about half way between the two terrains.

On the Holy Islnad was a Swordy-N sparring with a MonoSword Virus. Their blades clashed back and forth but it would be obvious that neither were trying the hardest, yet they kept at it till a very disturbed voice sounded out a few feet behind them. "INNNNNN....TRUDER! I AM.... I AM... I AM A.... I AM A GOD!" The statement came bellowing from a DarkProg who shared the small island with the two sword wielding friends.

HangMan couldn't see all of it, but the outline of a cloud like figure could be seen protruding from the rock on the opposite side of the lake. While a Melody virus was to the right of the lake playing by itself on the cracked terrain, being careful not to make things worse and fall into a hole. It also turned it's attention to HangMan as he approached.

"Hm, nah what do we have heah?" HangMan remarked as he happened upon the duel between two sword-themed viruses. However, the demented one behind them instantly became more interesting to him as it bellowed. HangMan's tooth-filled smile widened even more, surprising considering how wide and toothy his grin appears even at rest. He took a drag on his cigar, then began to chuckle and send periodic puffs of wispy white smoke from between his teeth. "I like this one! Nah let's bring 'im dahn from his holy perch! please,"
he declared before taking a deep draw on his cigar, which caused the ashen tip to glow a bright crimson.

He exhaled and unleashed a large cloud of light gray smoke in front of him, while the Navi himself seemed to bleed into the background before disappearing entirely. A second or so later, a perfect copy of the slightly macabre Navi stepped out of the smoke, then started to dash towards the Giant Rock ahead, showing intent to encroach on the sparring match that waged ahead.

Meanwhile, HangMan slipped away under the cover of invisibility, and started to move slowly to his right to get a clear shot at the two combatants. He'd noticed the unstable terrain around the poison moat, so he took his cautions steps even more seriously; he would normally avoid making any noise, and breaking through the floor would cause, in his words, "quite a ruckus."

After relocating to a suitable position, he focused on a different target entirely. He'd spied a familiar cloud-shaped virus hiding behind the far rock, and he had just the chip to deal with it. His equally transparent sawn-off shotgun materialized in his grip, then was pointed towards the virus, and the rock it hid behind. The shotgun went off with nary a flicker of light nor a puff of smoke, but the loud boom couldn't be so easily hidden. He hoped the viruses would be either too busy with his decoy, or not perceptive enough to figure out his location from a single gunshot. Regardless, a spray of energy shot rocketed down range, in an attempt to perforate the rock, and the Cloudy virus behind it.

Giant Rock B, Cloudy
Having made its proclamation, the damaged Prog in the middle of the island began to crackle with erratic electricity, its remaining arm lifting high as its face lifted upwards. Powering up or not, however, the amount of acrid smoke that accompanied the overload of energy didn't seem like it was doing the program any favours. HangMan wasn't waiting around to find out. He cloaked himself and began to move, as his decoy self took the spotlight, moving towards the viruses. The swordy was the first to react, warping across the poison field to slice at the image and bisect it cleanly. It seemed pleased, but the MonoSword nearby gave a small warning sound, seeming to guess that that hadn't been their real target, and looking around for their actual foe.

HangMan was already working his way around the pool towards what he hoped could be a surprise attack on the cloud-type virus; with the way the swords-wielders were moving, it might be hard to keep a solid bead on them both from the shadows, but the Cloudy, at least, seemed unaware of his presence. It was looking at the poison pool from behind its rock and cautiously turned over on itself, forming a heavy rain cloud which began to pour fresh water onto the sludge. It didn't seem to help, and the cloud rocked back and forth as it watched, frowning slightly.

A moment later, the echoing boom of HangMan's shotgun resounded across the small pond, the shot piercing through the rock and ripping into the distracted Cloudy in an instant. It twisted in the air, falling back, then turned to lock at the rock, from which the shot had seemingly come, in confusion.

The Monosword, however, perked up at the sound, turned and warped to a spot worrisomely close to HangMan's exact location. It swung its weapon blindly, and HangMan himself was able to avoid the blade, though the broad sweep also cut into the rock and demolished it completely in a shower of shattering rock chunks. The MonoSword looked around, trying to work out if it had hit its target or not.

While all this was going on, the Melody virus, over the other side, bounced around between the cracks, then hopped up to the top of the other remaining rock and bounded there in oblivious contentment, achieving little.

He was still invisible, and from his request he seemed keen on keeping it that way at least for a little while longer. Holly grabbed the duplicate chip she hadn't already used a few seconds earlier, and slotted it in to the PET. HangMan got the notification and activated it immediately, attempting to keep himself hidden.

Just in case he suffered a momentary bout of opaqueness, HangMan glanced towards the other rock, and with a hidden command a wispy veil of smoke came from seemingly out of nowhere. The smoke gradually dissipated, revealing a perfect copy of the scarecrow-esque Navi. The decoy briefly looked down at itself, as if realizing it was no longer invisible, then started to book it towards the rock in an attempt to find cover.

Meanwhile, the real HangMan further tried to capitalize on his invisibility to quickly and quietly take out the rock-crushing sword virus. With an equally invisible pillow in hand, he tried to creep behind the MonoSword. He held the pillow length-wise in both hands and raised above his head, then he tried to swing his arms down over the virus's roughly cone-shaped body and pull, to squeeze the pillow against the virus's face while it was wedged between the pillow and HangMan's chest. Normally he'd be keen on using his brass ropes like a noose or garrote, but a weapon that naturally puts its victim to sleep was an oddly fitting one, in this case.

If he missed, he'd try again in a similar fashion, or simply smack it across the body with the pillow. If he did manage to get it in his grip, he continued to press the pillow firmly against the virus until it finally stopped moving and eventually shed its mortal coil. He knew the attack would possibly make his position obvious to the rest of the viruses, but he hoped the sight of the MonoEye struggling or passing out would cause more confusion, and even hesitation. In his opinion, the only one that looked like it would resort to fratricide was the crazed Prog.

MonoSword
HangMan's decoy managed to fool the Swordy-N once more, as it flashed towards the newly produced image of the Net Navi. A swift slash from his sword proved the target to be a fake, as it slashed through the image causing it to fade. The Swordy swung his blade once more out of anger, while the Cloudy just examined his rain cloud, and watched it disappear. The Melody continued to hop forward with no target in sight.

The real mustered up some sleep oriented offense striking the MonoSword once dealing a decent amount of damage. The virus attempted to counter, but his slash caught nothing but air this time. Then "WACK!" A second smack from the pillow caused the virus to disappear into a pile of junk data.

The DarkProg maintained his position in the center of the holy island, knowing his time to stroke was soon coming.

chips next, please.
While Holly got to work getting the two chips uploaded, HangMan swiped the pillow in a diving diagonal swing in an attempt to bash and subsequently dissipate the Cloudy virus. After that final swing, he let go of the sleeping implement if it hadn't already been shredded, and made a note to glance down at himself to see if he was starting to become more opaque.

Regardless of his state of transparency, he tried to keep the viruses on their toes by activating the freshly uploaded MokoRush chip. Three glowing clusters of data materialized on the ground nearby, and rapidly formed into a trio of Moloko viruses, complete with fluffy pink down coats and purple horns. With a cute bleating battle cry, the three viruses galloped across the battlefield, and split up to intercept their respective targets. The first bee-lined across the field, and even tried to splash across the poisonous moat before it charged head-long towards the crazed Prog. The second veered off with a flurry of clattering hooves and charged towards the Melody. It bleated out a second time once it got close, then leaped forward in an attempt to batter the Melody with a flying headbutt. The third didn't display the theatrics or boisterous cries as it dashed towards the Swordy-N, in fact, it tried to catch the frustrated virus unaware. It lowered its head and brought its pointed horns to bear before it tried to bulldoze its way through the virus.

While the shepherd's little vicious flock stampeded through, he worked to give himself an extra layer of protection. With an unheard-command, a towering tombstone-like figure rose up from the floor in front of HangMan. On closer inspection, it was a Dominerd virus, this time fighting on the Navi's side. It looked to be in its passive stance, with its flat arms crossed over its face/chest and its fanged maw closed. However, if something made the unfortunate mistake of attacking, it would take the hit in the Navi's stead, then return the favor by delivering a crushing retaliatory bite against the aggressor.

HangMan
Back in plain sight, HangMan sought to clean up what was left as efficiently as he could, even if that meant to resorting to adorable sheep. First, however, he attempted to bash a cloud with a pillow. Undignified as it was, the fluffy battering implement was more than accurate enough to dissipate the cloud virus, despite its somewhat distracted efforts to move out of the way.

the Melody bounced towards Hangman in a series of erratic bobs, but the executioner wasn't interested in getting friendly; the first sheep crashed through the musical note as it came on, leaving the virus barely hanging on. As the cracked ground it landed on gave in, the poor thing tumbled out of sight with a distressed musical chime.

The other two sheep made for different targets. One crossed over to the holy panels where the damaged Prog seemed to be waiting; as soon as the weaponised livestock stepped onto the island, however, the Prog screamed in a prolonged robotic tone, and covered the holy island in a dome of opaque electrical energy. The sheep, being a sheep, was unperturbed by this and carried right on, crashing into the Prog and very nearly destroying it. As the sparks cleared, it looked like the Prog had done itself more harm than good, in its attempt to attack the summoned sheep.

The third sheep made a sheep-line for the Swordy, who, upon seeing it coming, and glancing past it to HangMan, warped forward, bypassing the fluffy critter's charge and taking a swing at the navi himself. Unfortunately for the Swordy, its luck had not, in fact, improved, and HangMan raised his other ally to meet the slash. An ominous, dull clang stopped the Swordy's blade short, and there was a moment where it looked up and realised its error, as the jaws of oblivion opened up and devoured the virus whole.
