Quote (SpaceMonkeySteve)

"Well, little dude, way back, humans used to go to communes, which were places where everybody shared everything and no one was ever sad." Druidman said. "But I guess nowadays for us Navis it'd be more like us all teaming up for an adventure or something!" Druidman said, excited at the reflections of the past and the possibilities of the future.

Watt's eyes lit up at Druidman's explanation. An ADVENTURE? Really?! That'd be so cool! Volt would fiiiight, I'd find all the fun stuff to do, and you'd be there, too! It'd be a blaaaast! He used exaggerated arm motions throughout the explanation, finishing up with a spin with his arms out to the side at the word "blast".
"Well... count me in too. After all we must battle together Mister Druidman. Hmmm... for some obscure reason I kinda wished we had some fire navi, but nevermind, I'm sure we can all commune together!" DNR said with a haughty laugh, thankful to himself that they came and met all these new people.

"Hmmm.... thats interesting Miss Sabrina." Polonius smirked as he looked back. "Well... did you mean that article made by Don and Dimensionman executable? I'm sure they saw the show themselves." he said with a nod.
Rose received no response from Jay, so she continued her conversation with Shigeru. No problem there, as it solved her issue of who to talk to.

Rose rubbed her hand against the back of her head. "Well, you see..." She began, glancing over at the vending machine. "People have been bashing it to get free soda from it. " She said with a somewhat embarrassed smile, thinking about how foolish it sounded when put into words.

"You could probably get one too, if you tried." she continued, more casual after the initial awkwardness of the question.

SummonerMan took this time to chuckle quietly to himself as he heard the brains who had just entered arguing over what 'communism' was. "No wonder these two lost in the first round; they're morons." he thought.

Before either could explain communism, as both planned to, albeit in very different ways, it was explained.

Rose even prepared to drop in on the conversation between her two initial friends and inform them that DimensionMan was the rival reporting Navi, though she had had no idea that he had had a TV show.

And as the new boy walked in and sat down, She smiled and waved to him, while staying engaged in the area near Shigeru. This of course meant that, in order to not be rude and drop their conversation, that she could say nothing to the new boy. However, she could wave and possibly hope that he'd come over and introduce himself, so she could do the same.
(( READING EVERY POST IS ANNOYING. I AM SORRY D: ))

Jay shrugged casually, rolling his eyes towards the ceiling. "Eh. Phones. Gover-ment ownin' everything. Same dif'." He looked back towards the girl that addressed him a moment ago, and reaching out. "Were ya talkin' to me? Sorry if I... uh... ignored ya or somethin'."

Meanwhile. Big boisterously approached the ring of navis. With absolutely no sense of an indoor voice, he announced his presence by bounding into the circle and practically yelling "Howdy!" at... well, everyone.
Damian continued to sit on the couch and watch the fights. He was never good at the whole conversation thing, but on the same note it was too close to his round to leave. Heh, that fight between the monkey and the warrior woman ended great. 3 more fights left...

<Yo, Boss> Imp whispered to Damian from the top of his head, <The news reporter girl seems to know a bit of info about the netwar, do you wanna go chat?>

Looking over, Damian noted she was already in the middle of a conversation. "Maybe later, I'd hate to be rude... well, ruder..."
Well, this is entertaining, Ceres sighed, leaning over to one of the nearby TVs. Noticing a jack-in port, he smiled and turned to his navi. Busting?

Sure, Enigma nodded, and thus Ceres wirelessly connected Enigma to the Net, letting Enigma find his way out of the TV network on his own.

Sorry if I'm being rude. I figured I'd just make the most of my time here...
...Well, that was probably the quickest end to a conversation ever. Especially considering how many people were around. Oh well...

And suddenly, someone jacked in to do some busting. Granted, her battle was going to get started soon, but...they could get one battle in beforehand, couldn't they? "Hey, SplashMan. I think before our battle starts, we need to get comfortable with a couple of things. How about we do a little virus busting?"

"Um...okay, but where are we gonna do it from?" SplashMan's hologram looked around the room, then gave his operator a confused look. "I don't see any jack-in ports from here, and even if there were, Colosseum security's probably pretty tight, so..."

"And who said we were jacking in from here? We're Netopian, if anyone should know a good place to jack-in here, it's us!" Sabrina quickly leapt from her seat, and started moving along to the Colosseum's entrance. "And if I remember correctly...bingo!" From the entrance, she could see a heroic, albeit short, figure in a chariot, driven by two horses. "Okay, I'm pointing the PET towards it...lemme know when I've got a good shot!"

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that!" The hologram on her shoulder suddenly faded, and a faint red light beamed from the PET towards the statue. "Nope...nope...a little to the right...your OTHER right...stop! Now, just a little bit down...perfect! That's where you need to aim!"

"Okay! Now, let's get down to business!" The light beam suddenly intensified, as it began to transfer data. "Jack in! SplashMan, Execute!"

(I'm going to Netopia's Net too, so THERE)
Jay shrugged, glancing over at the two operators jacking in. He looked back at Big, who seemed to be just as bored.

"Hey Big, how about we-" Jay started.

"Okay." Big interrupted. "Let's go."

"... How'd you-" Jay began.

"Because I'm JUST as bored, and I really wanna train. I- er, we gotta get better. Jack me in, an' let's see if we can get a few good rounds in." Big said irately.

"Alright, alright." Jay muttered, smirking. "Let's not get too hasty, though. Let's actually think this time. Maybe that'll help." Big rolled his eyes a bit as Jay sauntered over to the console. "Since when do WE have to think...?" Big grumbled as Jay jacked him in.
Imp looked at the room full of people jacked into the net, <Maybe we should...>

"No," Damian said sternly, "We'd need 570 zenny, plus to get over to the navi cust shop and back to have an effect on the flow of battle, it won't work..."

"The main deciding factors in this tournament are sig space, busters, and skill, all of which we can't increase in time or in great enough amounts. Also, since HP is doubled in these fights, the difference between the 2 have also doubled, we need strategies to win this. Preferably ones that can increase our hits while lowering the opponents..."

Damian shuffled through his deck, silently cursing whoever put the '+10 dmg' chips in the null folder, might as well just thrown in 1 more airshot or something...
lt abyss comes into the rom.

LA: at ease men im off duty
SGt.P: helo soldiers im here to hang out
Shigeru suddenly recieved a notification on his PET that the battle arena was ready. Fumbling around with the PET for a moment, he quickly jacked Voltman into the net.
And so it begins!
"Oh dear..." Polonius said as he looked towards the PET, revealing that it's his time to fight in the tournament.

"...How fun...time to fight..." DNR said with a grin as he clenched his holofists. "Say guys heres hoping your watching my fight~" he said with a grin as Polonius walked over to the arena.
A quick beeping sound alerted Damian to the start of his match...

"Let's go guys." He said as he scooped up the chips and his PET. Leisurely heading towards the arena, the dark netOp was still trying to come up with a good strategy...
"Good luck, guys." Steve said to the mass exodus now that the second half was starting. He flopped back on his chair, wondering what he would do while the matches went on.

Druidman, too, was lost in thought. He had met a few new Navis today, and he was wondering if it would be fun to go off and bust with some of them later.
Duke wandered into the lounge and flopped into the nearest chair. "Maybe I should have....taken a nap before coming here..." he said, readying his PET. As soon as the 'arena ready' signal came, he jacked Pianissimo into the net, then closed his eyes.
"Well, Burt," Na'im said as he stood up and held two fingers at his forehead, "Wish me luck." He then left the lounge room to head for the battle that was ahead of him and Djinni.
Rose looked around one last time before she quickly excused herself from the room.

SummonerMan was busy trying desperately to prepare a smart and strong strategy.

"Wish me luck!" She said with a smile as she hurried to the lobby.
Shigeru visibly shrunk as the final hits came and Voltman lost. After the entire affair with the handshake, though, his eyes lit up, though his demeanor remained unchanged. He turned to the room.
I don't know who his operator is, but you might want to teach him some manners.
And with that, Shigeru left the room, heading off to the hot springs for some relaxation, and some virus busting.
"Ahh..." As she entered the lobby, Sabrina flipped her new Recover30 chip between her fingers, before dumping it into her spare chip pocket. "Well, THAT didn't work out the way I hoped..."

"Yeah...listen. There's something I want to tell you..."

"I already told you. You don't have to apologize! Whenever Dad and FlareMan had one of their rare failures, they always split the blame, and said that as a team, the blame should be shared among all the team members. So while I can't say it's all my own fault, it's definitely not all you, either. We both screwed up, and that's why we lost."

"Nicely said, Sabrina! But, that's not what I was going to say..."

"...Oh. Then what is it?"

"I dunno...I just didn't feel comfortable fighting like this. I mean, I did get a little practice beforehand, but I've still had this body for less than a day. I think that got in the way of my battling a little bit. It's still no excuse, but I think it was a factor..."

"Really? I guess that one's on me, since it was my idea you fight like that. ...See, this is the kind of teamwork that makes Dad and Brandon so good! We can tell each other what we did right and wrong, and not worry about what the other'll think!"

"You really think so? Too bad we didn't show it during the match..."

"Yeah, that was rough...but unless you find a way to go back in time, there's nothing we can do about it now. We'll just have to do better next time! ...Well, there's no real reason to stay here. Let's just go back to Electopia and keep training!...Starting tomorrow. I don't really feel like doing it now..."

"Yeah...me too. At least it'll give me time to get used to this body!"

"You know that you can change back to your regular self anytime now, right?"

"I know...but there's things that I can only do like this! Like opening my mouth, since I only have one in this form, spinning my spear, since not only do I have a spear, but there's no way I'm dexterous enough when I'm normal...and even breathe!" SplashLady suddenly stopped and took a deep breath. "See? I mean, I can do something like that normally, but I can't actually get air in and out of me!"

"So long as you realize that it's your call!" And so, having wrapped up her first tournament experience, the Netopian girl exited the Colosseum, the city, and the entire country, in that order.

(to Yoka!)
Mazer walked out of the competition terminal, PET in hand.
"Great work on your first battle, you two!"
Mach stood next to Aera, who just recently emerged from the DRS from being EJO'd by one of Splashman's attacks, and gives a thumbs up to Mazer.
[It was a great battle, especially for my first time facing another Navi in a duel-like setting.]
"You know what, you're right! We haven't really done any NetBattling against other Navis until now. I hope this isn't just a case of beginner's luck!"
[Both of us know there will be some especially strong Navis in the tournament. I would be surprised if I win, especially without the last battle being a hard-core slugfest.]
Aera turned to Mach and frowned.
[Well at least have some self confidence! I think we can win this.]

As the two looked at each other, Mazer passed a board on the wall with the tournament bracket displayed. The first round of battles were nearly over, and he could see who he and his partners would face next.
"Hey, I found out who we're facing. Its Na'im bin ...Shaitan, with Djinni.EXE and Fyre.SP. Interesting."
[Well, I knew it would only be a matter of time before we encountered a Navi with a SP of their own.]

Mazer happened to notice two snapshots of both the NetOp and his Navi/SP pair. He started to take all of the information he currently had, and got a hypothesis.
"From looking at Djinni and Fyre, and her SP's name, I think either one or both of them have fire attributes."
[Hm... It's probably likely they would have chosen the fire tourney folder. I may actually be able to use my XIIICross next battle. I would have done so before, but Splashman would have doused me in an instant.]

Mazer continued to look on, and noticed Machman was still fairly low on the list for the next round.
"It looks like it may be a bit until the next round starts. You want to do some quick busting, to keep you both warmed up?"
[Sounds alright with me.]
[Me too.]
"Cool. I'll jack you both in once I get out of here."

Mazer left the building, and went to the nearest phone/internet terminal. He then inserted his PET jack into one of the ports, and sent his Navi and SP into the network.
