Double Dragon?

Seraphim- breaks through the roof of the large hut-house that is the chief's abode, and additionally breaks a table in the process, resulting in a loud crash.

Druidman thinks he spots a shadow of sorts near a small hut behind the chief's house, but it disappears inside.

Seraphim, meanwhile, hears footsteps coming toward the door to the room he fell into- which would appear to be the Chief's bedroom. He's the only one inside. The room has a bed with two nightstands on either side but no canopy, and a small dresser at the far end from the door next to a window. Oh, and a table with two chairs.
Druidman winced. Great. Now the Chief's disposition would drop down, and quite possibly, lower their rewards. Wonderful. He decided that the best course of action would be to try and smooth the whole thing over.

But...

That person bothered him. Why had they been watching them? Could it be a servant of the nine hells, and all their vile evil? A true adventurer leaves no stone unturned.

Besides, bursting into the chief's house would probably only agitate the situation.

So, Druidman hustled to the small hut he saw, to roll some standard Spot, Listen, and Search checks. If Seraphim really needed him, he was sure he would call.
"Stupid!" The navi cursed the roof, rolling over and rising. The table had broken the fall.

"Apologies about the table and the roof. On a sidenote, since I seem to have crashed in like the proverbial heavenly aid, does this belong to you?" The staff was presented with the long string of words, as a head was tilted, eyes half-closed.
SERAPHIM:

Seraphim hears the footsteps pause, and some muffled speech warbles through the wall. A single set of footsteps continues to the door, which is quickly opened by the Chief. "Sorry, what did you say?" He asks, eyes seeming puzzled in the darkness under his hood. He pauses for a moment, and then takes a look around his room, regarding the hole in the roof and his broken table with a wince. "...So how did this happen?"

DRUIDMAN:

Druidman enters the small hut, and looks around for a few moments; the hut is no more than the size of a small room, and has no furniture save for a chair facing away from the door... nobody seems to be inside, either. Druidman turns away from the hut.

But not before seeing something move out of the corner of his eye.
"Attempting to chase a person hiding within the shadows, spying on us. Tried to take the high road. Didn't work out." The terse, short responses were punctuated by the navi slowly standing and brushing off splinters.

"Can repair roof later. If you want, that is."
Druidman stopped. "Someone is trying a Hide check." he said to himself. Luckily, he must have just rolled 1 or 2 higher than the DC, because he caught a glimpse of something. He whipped around to where he saw it.
SUCKY SUCKY FIVE DOLLAR
"You'd best come out, I know you're here." he said boldly. He thought about rolling an Intimidation check, but decided it was unnecessary. No good to scare whatever it was away, after all.
DRUIDMAN: The air near a wall wobbles, and a small Shadow virus appears out of nowhere. "Hello." He says, tone neutral.
DRUIDMAN SUCKS LOL
SERAPHIM: The chief pauses for a moment. "Why are you talking like that?" He says, seemingly ignoring Seraphim's message and focusing on his speech impediment.
SERAPHIM SUCKS MORE, LOL
"Why not?"
Druidman stared back. "Greetings, stranger. Mind explaining what you were doing just now?" Druidman rolled his Gather Information and Sense Motive checks.
"Is. Time, too."
DRUIDMAN: "Watching you." He says, tone still eerily unemotional.

SERAPHIM: "Because it makes you seem as though you think speaking to be a waste of breath." The chief answers. You get the feeling he would cross his arms if he had any.
Charisma must have been this guys junk stat, Druidman thought to himself. "Why were you doing that?" he said, his eyes narrowing.
Suddenly- twin bolts strike Seraphim and Druidman, canceling their crosses!

The chief seems a bit stunned, but the Shadow virus seems rather nonplussed about the whole ordeal.

"'Cause you looked interesting." The Shadow says. Two parts on either side of him wobble- a shrug, maybe?
"..." The navi didn't respond. It was still in control, and shrugged. It had a new disguise now, it supposed.
"Duude." Druidman commented after the bolt has struck. He had a vague feeling of failing a Reflex Save, or somesuch nonsense.

"Er, anyway, dude." Druidman said. "Because we looked interesting, huh? Well, man, I'm here. Figure out whatever interest you have in me, dude, so that we'll all be happy."
The Shadow virus does that weird half-shrug-half-wobble again. "Seemed fun to talk to." The virus' eerie gaze remains locked on Druidman.

-------

The Chief walks over to Seraphim, and looks up through the hole in the roof.

The sky is completely clear.

The Chief simply stares upward through the hole for a moment, at a loss for words.
"You okay?" The navi asked.

"Seen a ghost?"
Druidman looked apprehensive. He wasn't sure he trusted this creepy dude. "Well, I'm here, man. Talk away."
"Who is your Operator, and what does he do?" The Spooky virus asks boldly.

---------

"Only about a hundred a day." The chief remarks with a chuckle, turning to regard Seraphim. "You say you were being watched...? What direction was the guy in?"
"Other side of your house. Thought I'd take a shortcut. Didn't work." The navi bowed its head in apology, and held out the staff once more as a reminder.

"This yours? Found it out there." A jerk of the head in the general direction was good enough. No need to blame others anyhow.
