Various mini-announcements.

The RedFruit series has been altered, so that it is now a Recovery type chip, and not an Object type, since it was horribly out of place as an Object. Enjoy.
The chip nobody was begging for is finally back in action with a fresh coat of paint!

And just because, the Chip Effects List has been updated with a slew of new effects, and generally sorted.
RERN VERSION Something +.0.0.5

This patch, several viruses have been split into full-fledged families, and their chip lines have been expanded to suit! Many elemental oddities have also been fixed between ranks as a result.

Viruses

    [li]PotDragons are now split into four families: MagmaDragons, WaterDragons, ThunderDragons, and ForestDragons.
    [li]Jelly viruses are now split into three families: Jelly, HeatJelly, and EarthJelly.
    [li]Fishy viruses are now split into two families: Fishy and Blazer.
    [li]Hardhead viruses are now split into three families: Hardhead, Hothead, and Coldhead.
    [li]Anaconda viruses are now split into three families: Anaconda-W, Anaconda-E, and Anaconda-F.
  • Weather viruses have been split into four families: Weather, Whomper, Winger, and Wonder.
Chips

    [li]HeatDragon, ElecDragon, AquaDragon, and WoodDragon have been given full chip sets, and their names normalized to fit a 4-letter naming scheme.
    [li]Blizzard, HeatBreath, ElecShock, and WoodPowder have been given full chip sets.
    [li]Dash Attack and Burner have been given full chip sets.
    [li]The Wave series of chips has been split into the Wave, RedWave, and Mudwave sets.
    [li]The SnakeEgg series of chips has been split into the SnakeEgg, CobraEgg, and WyrmEgg sets.
  • LavaBall and IceBall have been given full chip sets.
Credit for all of these changes goes equally to PaladinGC, MagicCereal, Twi, Asator, and SpaceMonkeySteve.

If you suspect you may have had some chips, read the following guide to see how your chips convert:

    [li]All PotDragon chips --> Same chip version 2
    [li]All Jelly chips --> Same chip element with same version # (Wave was 1, RedWave was 2, MudWave was 3)
    [li]DashAttack --> DashAttack1
    [li]Burner --> Burner2
    [li]Burning and Condor --> Burner3 and DashAttack3 (Don't worry, your chips have the same stats; Burning and Condor have just been upgraded to rare-tagged chips.)
    [li]All Hardhead series chips --> Same chip version 1
    [li]All Anaconda series chips --> Same chip element with same version #
  • All Weather chips --> Same chip version 2
If you can't figure out what you should have now, please consult an official or admin to help through PM or chat.

((This announcement written by Twi and Aim.))
Continuing the theme of adding chips, the MasterStyle chips have been expanded to three chip lines, instead of two. Here's how they now progress. Bold indicates the new chips.

StandOut - Prominence - Salamander
AquaLine - WaterStream - Fountain
Lightning - Strike - Bolt
GaiaSword - GaiaEdge - GaiaBlade

And yes, the new ones are all V2s. Why? Because it means maximum laziness when it's time to make their icons, that's why.
The following chips have been reclassified:

AuraHead 1-3 (Other -> Virus)
Rope 1-3 (Melee -> Ground)
WhiteWeb 1-3 (Melee -> Ground)

The chip index has also been updated:

We now have 861 total battlechips.
Rare chips are listed in Bold Font.

And dozens of chips have had their special effects updated for clarity.
Submerge has been removed from the sig effect list because it didn't do anything that Movement didn't (Note: Submerge is still an effect and a status, it's just redundant as a sig effect). Additionally, Burrow has been discounted to 30 points from the prior 50. Note that you can use a Movement to Burrow into "soft" solid terrains (Sand, Snow, etc.), and you need the Burrow sig or chip effect to dig into anything harder. This is not a change in the effect's function, merely a clarification. If you had a Burrow or Submerge sig, color me surprised you are entitled to a free signature edit to adjust to the change.
We have converted all turn based duration Buster Chips to usage based duration, and have made them usable immediately instead of the turn after activation.

We have remade the AmatsuHaretsu series battlechips as the ClusterShot series and Power series battlechips as the PowerBolt series.

Here are the conversions for those of you who are affected:

AmatsuHaretsu1 (Gun) => ClusterShot1 (Gun)
AmatsuHaretsu2 (Gun) => ClusterShot2 (Gun)
AmatsuHaretsu3 (Gun) => ClusterShot3 (Gun)

PowerShot (Gun) => PowerBolt1 (Other)
PowerBolt (Gun) => PowerBolt2 (Other)
PowerBlast (Gun) => PowerBolt3 (Other)

And yes, they have been significantly buffed. Check the chip database for details.
The milestones for when one may RP simultaneous navi/op pairs have been changed. The new ruling (copied from the rules thread) is given below. Please note that the changed version adds no new restrictions, so if you have a simultaneous pair out already, there should be no need to consider the validity of their activity.

Quote ()

You may RP multiple teams of characters simultaneously after meeting the following milestones:

Quote ()

Total navi levels of 5 or higher = 2 pairs simultaneous
Total navi levels of 20 or higher = 3 pairs simultaneous
Total navi levels of 45 or higher = 4 pairs simultaneous
Total navi levels of 80 or higher = 5 pairs simultaneous

"Total navi levels" for this purpose is the addition of the level of all of your navis, shelved or active.
The required level to register a subplot has been lowered from 8 to 5. Everyone now has marginally less excuse to not make one.
We made a change on the magnet terrains so that it can only reduce the number of actions by 1 to a minimum of 1.

This means normal net viruses won't have their actions reduced to 0 from magnet terrains, but the terrain will still be very powerful against Boss navis, Rogue and higher viruses, and all the other that may apply.

Enjoy your nerf.
NPC Homepages is up, to help us distinguish between player homepages and the flood of homepages that act as settings for missions. If you can't find your mission any more, chances are, that's where it's gone.

The homepages are still in transition; over time, all NPC homepages will be moved to that forum.
The DoubleJump chip has gotten a rebuild which constitutes a major buff in several aspects. You can find it in the Support Chips list.

The Buster Based signature effects have been rebuilt, and a new Support Type effect has been added to them. It is a healing effect based on buster stats, rather than a damage effect. You can find them in the Signature Attack Effect List.

High Altitude status has been edited for clarity in the Terrain section of the rules.

Several Chip Effects have been edited for clarity in the Chip Effects List.
Shadow, Invis and Blind have been redone. Each lowers the chance of an enemy hitting you, or in the case of blind, hitting anything at all by 50%.

This change applies to chips and viruses, too.
Movement and Evasion has been rebuilt. Movement, Dodge, and Teleport have been changed, and a new effect called Feint has been added.

Check the Signature Attack Effects List for details.
Official Ruling: Teleportation does not work while Immobilized.

This means it does not work while under the effects of IronBody, Hold, Stun, Sleep, A Glitch that causes you to be stationary, etc.

If you are grappled in a melee, say by someone with a RageClaw, you must first extricate yourself from their grasp in order to Teleport.

As an aside, Freeze can prevent you from Teleporting if the teleport is part of an attack, as you cannot attack while the effect is active.
