The Gloomers, Genins, and the KillWeeds didn't provide the group with any notable edibles. Voulge sighed as he turned towards Red and nodded his head side to side, holding the piece of charred boomerang from the Gloomers. "We just need to find the right virus next time." The navi threw the piece behind his back and began to walk towards his partner, rummaging through his sack of food and held his hand out to Red.
"We didn't have any luck finding any food lately, and I apologize to drag you into it without any reward in your end." What Voulge had in his hands were a pair of the biggest, thickest apple anyone has every laid their eyes on along with a bag of golden popcorn, drizzling with fresh butter. "No matter how I see it, you're still a child. And if there's anything a child loves, it's sweets."
Voulge's face was lit up with a small smile with a nervous chuckle, most likely due to his statement about Red's small stature once more. However, he still held the two foods towards Red, waiting for her to take up the offer.

"Oh yay! Just what I like! Well..." Red cheered, her face lighting up at the sight of the juicy edibles in front of her. "I mean, it's not like, cake or anything, but I'm sure we could make some great apple pie with this!" Red suggested, absolutely motivated to keep on searching as she pocketed the items into her picnic basket.
"It is going to be a picnic, so we shouldn't be greedy and eat the stuff first before the official event," Red advised, winking and wagging a finger cutely.

Voulge looked around and tried to keep in mind about the picnic Red wanted so much. Ignis and Licht helped looking around the area, but the green crystal nudged against Voulge's shoulder and pointed upwards to the hill. He nodded and shortly thanked his SP, soon pointing his finger to the top of the hill for Red to see. "I'm sure it's going to have the best view we can find for the picnic."
Sheathing the Lancea on his back, Voulge slowly began to walk up the hill while keeping a vigilant eye for any more viruses to come.

Jack and Jill Voulge and Red (plus SPs) went up the hill to fetch a pail of water find a spot for a picnic. At the top of the hill they found numerous out of place clusters of bamboo, which were unsurprisingly viruses in the way of their desired picnic location. From the skies came a host of flaming birds and speedy bats, fulfilling Red's wish for flying things to shoot down.
From the opposite side of the hill, two octopus-like viruses positioned themselves behind the line of bamboo viruses and tried to look threatening while the bamboo revealed themselves to have fierce looking expressions hidden in miniature grassy enclosures. The BluePhoenixes and PulseBats drew close from either side to attack as well.
Hopefully the Navis wouldn't be breaking their crowns today.

"...and maybe we could dice them into tiny bits or... Whoa!" Red yelped, running forward to examine everything from the top of the hill when she noticed blue flames flying toward them in the distance. Hearing snickering below her feet, Red jumped back and came face-to-face with Kilbur viruses. Feeling tugging on her skirt, Red looked down to see Myun point in the opposite direction where Pulsebats and Octors were closing in.
"Well, this sucks," the crimson crusader commented lamely, rolling her eyes as she faced forward. "Alrighty then Mr. Voulge, I'll leave the back to you~!"
"We might get a good haul off of this. Let's start with grounding those birds and dealing with them later," Shin suggested as he sent in three chips.
"Alright! I'll leave my back to you Mr. Voulge! Let's do it!" Red cheered, whipping out a firearm with a wide barrel. Alternating the setting in the weapon, the red-caped wonder made sure anything that came in contact with it would pretty much be stuck to the ground for a while.
"Fire!" Red shouted, pulling the trigger and releasing two cutting arcs of water at the BluePhoenixes, hoping to both ground and destroy the burning birds at the same time.
"Hiiiii.... yah!" not missing a beat, Red tossed the Wideshot blaster aside and stomped her foot down before sliding it to the side, the ground shaking once more as columns of lava burst out of the ground from the side. With their mistress' direct orders in mind, the towers marched aggressively toward the Kilbur viruses, hoping to incinerate them in one foul swoop.
Stepping back a bit, Red received a RiskyHoney from her operator, which she activated instantly, a barrier of honeycombs surrounding her with bees positioned to counter any attack thrown at their queen.
"Be careful Mr. Voulge, and good luck!" Red called behind her, cheering her partner on.

"The pot can be used for boiling the meat too, but we got to prepare it first." said Voulge as he continued his discussion with Red about the foods they gathered. "Or, or, or how about this. JUST BE QUIET FOR A MINUTE!" Ignis looked like he was annoyed with Red's constant mention about how to prepare their picnic, but he didn't have to suffer any longer when they reached the top of the hill and faced an untimely encounter with the viruses.
"Boohoo, it seems like your perfect picnic spot is already taken~" said Marius in an almost ironic tone. However, he knew more than anyone that it wasn't the time to play around, especially around the rogue virus his navi was facing. Wiping the smirk off his face, he began to pick out three chips and think through the best strategy to approach this battle.
But before he could really do so, Red immediately insisted Voulge to take on the back side. This narrowed down his plans, but still foiled his main one since he sought the Kilburs as his next target. "No need to sulk, Marius. Next time." Though Voulge said this in a way to comfort his operator, he heard it as if Voulge was replying back his ironic statement from before. Now irritated and a little drowsy from all the food he ate, Marius explained his plans short and sweet while loading the chips into the P.E.T..
"Approach the Octor from behind. Then pull the Pulsebat out from the air with the chips I've given. Understood? Ignis and Licht just stay put."

The battle began as all three prepared their defense, knowing that they won't be getting out of the battle unscathed. Voulge created his earthly shield from any material he could find on the ground, Ignis began to pump his body with...his ego till the point of ignoring any sort of damage that comes to him. Licht, on the other side, activated its new ability to tap into the chip folder and brought forth a tall, metal plate just in front of it. "...His is bigger than yours, Voulge." said Ignis as he quietly snickered.
Voulge ignored his SP's claim and took his Avaria-Lancea at hand. His eyes were averted to both the Octon on the ground and the PulseBats that were ready to swoop down for an attack. Without a moment to lose, he swung his free hand to the side as he gave out his command. "Disperse!" In a blink of an eye, Voulge disappeared while the two SPs split away from one another to find a safe hiding spot.
The navi, unsurprisingly, teleported just behind the Octors with his spear ready at hand. The Avaria-Lancea was lit aflame, but unlike last time, it was the entire polearm that was engulfed in a furious blue flame. "SLASH!" A simple swing of his weapon was all that was needed to unleash all the pented flame towards the Octors, and the precise cut laid by Voulge sure didn't help the chance of Octors surviving the attack.
Voulge nimbly escaped from his current position, not gambling his chance of the pulsebats attacking him, and drew out a small oriental fan out from his vest. As soon as he got his feet firmly placed on the ground, he began to swing the fans in a circular motion to generate a a powerful gust, hopefully sucking in the aerial pulsebats into a wanted range. When the time was right, Voulge gave one more, powerful swipe across the air with the fan to create 3 tornadoes to fly directly at the virus.
"No time to stop! PhoenixShot2, activate!"
Following his orders, the navi placed the fan inside his vest once more and took out three red throwing knives. Sparking it against his shoulder armor, the blade of the knives bursted into flames and Voulge immediately threw the knives at the PulseBats. Flying perfectly aligned, the flames that emanated from the blades formed with one another to create a soaring fire-wing, heating the air to intolerable temperatures in just seconds as it approached the viruses closer and closer.

Myun decided it was the perfect time to observe all her enemies and actually help out on the battle.
After the flames died, down, Myun rushed toward where the first Kilbur was and began punching and kicking at the virus with the addition of ear slaps to see if it would go down.
Then she move back to see what the result would be like.

Starting off, Red shot a couple of WideShots Phoenix-ward, and downed a couple, while one other escaped the killing blow. It was not left uncrippled, either, for it plummeted to the ground as the first hit clocked it with Anchor-imbued powers! The Kilbur were not spared either, for as they started to attack Red, she let loose with a powerful FireTower attack, incinerating two of the viruses into the dust! The other Kilbur got a nasty surprise of the BEEEEEEEEES and was driven away quite easily. However, the Phoenix wasn't quite done with it just yet, and let loose a powerful blast of fire towards Red, causing absolutely massive damage to her! (110x2 Fire) The Phoenix then cast a fiery aura around it to try and protect itself from harm.
Meanwhile, Voulge was dealing with the PulseBats and Octors. The Octors were mostly passive about the whole deal, simply releasing a small ball of electrical charges. The PulseBats were a lot more aggressive, firing a few shots towards Voulge and his crew. Voulge absorbed the shot easily with his shield, while Ignis got a hit, but reduced the damage with his toughened ego or whatever. (25) The attack directed towards Licht missed, but it rebounded somewhere and headed back towards the SP from the opposite direction! Anyway, Voulge set to work, teleporting behind the Octors and giving them a taste of raw flames. Then, the PulseBats started to lift off into the air, but were halted by Voulge's AirStorm attack, pulling them into a deadly tornado! The PhoenixShot afterwards sent the bats into a frenzy of scattering, allowing one of the bats to escape handily from the attack. Its comrades, however, did not receive the same fate, and were immediately incinerated. The surviving PulseBat lifted up to the skies, trying to find a vantage point.

"Yaaagh!" Red screamed, her write-protection pretty much blasted away by the surviving Phoenix's attack. Her healing processes kicked in immediately, siphoning energy from her vast sugar reserves to restore some amount of write protection.
"Yikes, that was kind of nasty. Here you go," Shin cringed, sending down their main recovery chip and something else to finish off the grounded bird.
A refreshing wave of green light washed over Red, who let out a sigh as she picked herself up and clenched her fist tightly, glaring irritably at the FirePhoenix who....
....covered itself in more flames? That seemed stupid. Grinning enthusiastically, Red kind of had that evil glint in her eyes.
"I can just, crush 'em, right?" the crimson crusader inquired.
"Sure, but there's still a surviving Pulsebat. Better be careful," Shin cautioned, sipping on his lemonade.
"Don't worry, I still have Mr. Voulge to watch my back," Red giggled, before facing the BluePhoenix once more.
"This.... might hurt a bit," the red-caped wonder warned, grinning maniacally before lifted her hand up, the steamy head of a dragon following her actions and rising up under the BluePhoenix. Clenching her hand tightly into a fist, the dragon followed suit, bellowing mightily before it clamped its jaws down on the BluePhoenix before sinking back into the ground.
Drawing from the power of nature, Red restored more of her health with energy from the grass around her.

"Yikes, that was kind of nasty. Here you go," Shin cringed, sending down their main recovery chip and something else to finish off the grounded bird.
A refreshing wave of green light washed over Red, who let out a sigh as she picked herself up and clenched her fist tightly, glaring irritably at the FirePhoenix who....
....covered itself in more flames? That seemed stupid. Grinning enthusiastically, Red kind of had that evil glint in her eyes.
"I can just, crush 'em, right?" the crimson crusader inquired.
"Sure, but there's still a surviving Pulsebat. Better be careful," Shin cautioned, sipping on his lemonade.
"Don't worry, I still have Mr. Voulge to watch my back," Red giggled, before facing the BluePhoenix once more.
"This.... might hurt a bit," the red-caped wonder warned, grinning maniacally before lifted her hand up, the steamy head of a dragon following her actions and rising up under the BluePhoenix. Clenching her hand tightly into a fist, the dragon followed suit, bellowing mightily before it clamped its jaws down on the BluePhoenix before sinking back into the ground.
Drawing from the power of nature, Red restored more of her health with energy from the grass around her.

As all the other stuff was going on, Red healed and blasted a BluePhoenix out of the grass with a giant hand of water. Yep, that was one deleted bird. Good thing water was the method of its death, too...if Red had tried Fire, it might've wound up overcooked. And no one likes overcooked fire. No one. Anyone that says otherwise is lying through their teeth. Even if they don't actually have teeth. But instead, it was only slightly soggy, which is a small price to pay for edible blue fire.

Voulge couldn't do anything but to watch Red be burned up by the BluePhoenix, but fortunately, it wasn't anything too serious when the little navi immediately patched her self up and got back at the virus. "No time to screw around!" Voulge's eye perked and immediately turned his head forward, noticing the pulsar fired by the virus. Without a moment to lose, he swiped his hands across his chest, notifying the two SPs to immediately retreat from their current position. "C'mon, Licht; Lets git!"
Ignis and Licht quickly split away from one another while Voulge broke down his current shield and restructured it from grounds up. "Your usual infighting won't do you any good this time. Its aerial prowess is going to be tough." Said Marius as he looked over his chips, finding the one that's suitable for the job. "Two Arrows will do. Leave the rest up to me." Voulge's confident word shook Marius up as he stopped looking into his folder, looked into his PET screen for a second, and quickly grabbed the two requested chips. "Here you go, boss-man"
The two chips were slotted in one after the other, charging Voulge's gauntlet with a jolt of frenzied electricity. He began to clamp his hand every second or so, creating a sphere of electricity that soon began to take shape on its own. The end result were two Elebees that immediately took off from Voulge's palm and buzzed around the navi, happily waiting for an order from their master.
"There."
The spearman pointed his index finger towards PulseBat in the sky while he unsheathed the spear off his back. The two mismatched colored Elebees instantly took off like a missile, directing their charged stingers towards their front as they revolved around one another. The black and yellow Elebee gave one more push with its wing as it tried to collide with the Pulsebat first, but the other one was slow and steady as it happily followed behind.
Voulge had a feeling that this wouldn't be enough to take care of the virus, but if that was the case, he had other things prepared for the virus just in case...

"Yeah! That'll show 'em!" Red cheered, pumping her fist into the air after her victory against the BluePhoenix. Myun nodded, thankful that her mistress was alright, before turning her attention to the remaining Pulsebat.
"So... just gonna leave it to Voulge?" Shin conjectured, looking through his chip folder idly.
"Yup! But he'll have our support when he needs it.... which is right now!" Red giggled.
"Alright, Alright. Here's a Candle and.... a DBLBeam. Do whatever you want," Shin advised, waving his hand lazily as he sent the two chips in.
"Yahoo! Let's do this!" the crimson crusader giggled, dashing to the side in case she needed to avoid an oncoming attack. Smashing a jar of wax to the ground, Red propagated the birth of a towering Candle that lit its tip with a green flame. The soothing scent given off by the Candle spread toward all of Red's allies, rebuilding their write-protections each passing moment. This, in turn, stimulated Red's own regenerative processes so she could be in top shape next battle.
Satisfied with her safety behind the Candle, Red snapped her fingers, calling a flashing cube into the air. The object alternated between red and blue before settling on a color and performing the appropriate effect.
Her job done, Red waved at Voulge and jumped up and down to boost his morale. "You can do it, Mr. Voulge! Fry that Pulsebat!" so she cheered.
Myun kind of just hopped around, doing nothing but watch out for the Pulsebat's sonic waves.

"Oooooh! This could be good!" the crimson crusader exclaimed, eyes sparkling as she held up an already roasted bird that looked ready to eat. "These too! Maybe we could make some interesting curry or something!" the red-caped wonder commented in glee, gathering up bamboo from the Kilby viruses.
"What do you think, Mr. Voulge? It's better to combine the ingredients to form more delicious recipes right?" Red inquired, face sparkling in excitement.

Voulge sighed as he lowered his spear, contempt with how the battle has ended. He turned towards Red and found himself surprised when the navi was already beside him, prepared to give a high-ten. The navi couldn't help but to let out a small smile and returned the gesture back.
"Nice job, Red."
The navi watched as Red scrambled back to her side of the field and began to look for suitable foods they could find. Fortunately, they hit the jackpot when Voulge and his SPs found an abundant amount of bat meat and cooked octopus.
"What do you think, Mr. Voulge? It's better to combine the ingredients to form more delicious recipes right?"
He was silent for a moment, but nodded his head with yet another smile. "That's fair to say. We should start cooking them when we get the chance to...But right now," he pointed at the ground, noticing how their perfect picnic spot was ruined. "Lets try finding someplace else."

Voulge gave a light tap on Ignis' head, causing the SP to literally crash into the ground and dig half his body into the burnt soil. "Excuse me for a moment." The navi began to walk towards Red while Licht fluttered besides his brother and tried to dig him out...without any hands to spare.
"...Everything just looks the same."
Though Voulge said that, he personally didn't have any preference to where they were going to have their "picnic." The only reason why he didn't choose their current area was because the ground was completely destroyed from their attack and it was just common sense not to have a picnic with burned remains of your enemy lying around.
He soon followed the same gesture as his partner did as he placed his hands to cover the sun, and saw something not so far from the hill.
"I see something. There's a waterfall nearby, but there's blooming tree nearby as well, but on the opposite direction from the waterfall..."
"Pick the waterfall! I'm sure this tinhead wants to see you half-nak-*smack*"
"It's your choice, Red. Where shall we go for our picnic?"
