Picnic in the Jungle

Walking through the dirt road, the group noticed that the grass around their position was getting a lot more sparse, appearing only in patches around the place. They soon arrived at a relatively large patch of grass, with four poles posted around it, two on either side. Just as they were going to inspect the strange posts in the middle of nowhere, the wooden poles rotated around, revealing their true identities as Totam viruses! A roar up ahead told them the Totams were not without reinforcements, as two WaterDragons appeared in the distance, and two Viners planted their roots on either side of their field.

-TEAM BATTLE TWO, FIGHT!!-
Red cracked her neck and knuckles as the viruses came in sight. She was getting that adrenaline rush again.

"Hold up, let's actually make a plan first," Shin suggested, stopping Red before she did anything. "Voulge, we'll take on the viruses from the back. Those water viruses look nasty and it'd probably be best if we got rid of them for you. Myun'll help with the frontal attack so I hope you can cover those Vines and Totem Poles. Alright? Let's go then."

"Roger that! Let's do our best everyone!" Red cheered, lowering into a running stance as she imagined the distance between her and the WaterDragons. The IceSeed materialized in her hand and off she went, utilizing the power of the Areagrab chip to warp above and between the WaterDragons.

The crimson crusader threw down the seed with a shout, and ice spread everywhere across the soil. Sliding back, the red-caped wonder kicked up a tidal wave behind her that crashed down over her head and at the PotDragons, attempting to freeze them in place with the properties of the icy surface.

"Now!" Shin yelled, sending two more chips in. The red-caped wonder nodded, drawing a sword with an electrified edge out of her picnic basket and sliding toward the first WaterDragon, slashing ferociously at the virus and hoping to slay it in one blow.

Turning around, Red pushed off the ice once more and headed for the other WaterDragon, letting out a war cry as she performed a broad swipe with the Elecsword, aiming to end the aquatic serpent's existence in an instant.

Seeing her job done, Red called on the next chip, a DBLBeam, sending the flashing cube into the air, where the results would be determined by luck, and whether salvation or devastation would come, Red would enjoy any of it as her systems prepared to recover any possible damages.

Myun, in the meanwhile, headed toward one of the Totems. Pulling her fists back, the boxing bunny attacked the pole with two roundhouse jabs and a powerful straight before slapping at the virus with her ears. Her fibers would fix the rest.

Ignis shifted his eyes back and forth, looking at the immobile Totam and the Viner, and began to burst out in an erratic laughter. "BWAHAHAHA, EASY PREY!" He spontaneously combusted in his own orange flame, unable to control his own excitement, and began to charge head on into the battle. "GERONIMOOO--*SMACK*"

Voulge stuck the end of his Avaria-Lancea out and stopped the SP from his blind charge, immediately sheathing it back while he watched Ignis shrivel down to his usual pathetic state. "I assume you wanted to fight the WaterDragon by yourself, correct?" The SP, lying flat on the ground, looked up at the WaterDragons placed behind the Viners and began to let out a cold sweat. "Er...Um...No thanks."

The navi peered over the group of viruses he was facing and turned towards Red for a plan. However, even before he could mutter a single word, Red was already ready for action and even gave out commands to which virus Voulge should attack. The spearman couldn't help but to be flustered, but that was only because he was still having trouble accepting the navi as a real fighter rather than a mere child. "That means we don't have to worry about them...right?" said Ignis as he nudged against Voulge.

"Yes. We should have faith towards Red...Marius, are you ready?"

"*Crunch crunch crunch*" Marius was still gobbling down his plate of food, currently working on the carrot-heavy salad. His eyes shortly batted to the monitor that was showing the battle and pressed the enter key once more before resuming to his dining. Voulge received 5 more chips, randomized once more, but the luck was on his side when he got his hand on the powerful FireSword.

"That piggy-ass better finish up soon..." said Ignis as he grew a pair of muscular flame arms and gave it a few test punch before he began to flex them. Licht quickly approached near the Viners on the right and forcefully pulled Ignis by his side in order to make the cocky-SP fully prepare for his part of the job. The green SP immediately took off the moment Ignis was pulled, but Ignis was still at his muscle flexing, completely full of himself as he eyed the lone Viner. "WHAT THE HELL CAN YOUR TENTACLES DO TO ME?! NOTHING!!"

The navi remained silent, not so disturbed by his SP's big mouth, and created a small shield from woven grass blades and plastered dirt. He prepared his Avaria-Lancea and immediately dipped the tip of the blade only an inch deep into the ground, "Trail...". Pushing the spear a little deeper, a small radius around the blade immediately incinerated and a thin trail of flame began to extend out from the ground and lurked towards the viruses. Before anyone realized, the Totams was surrounded in a inch-tall walls of flame and Voulge began to hold the spear with both hands. "...AND SUNDER!"

The navi pushed the blade entirely into the ground and the flames erupted in a towering wall, beginning to cook the viruses inside with intolerable amount of heat. Adding onto it, a decoy resembling Voulge was running amok inside along with the Totams, exhausting them before the real Voulge could come in. "Ignis, begin your attack!" said the navi as he pulled the Lancea out of the ground and began his mad dash towards the Totem.

Ignis stopped his smack-talk to the Viney and gave one good flew with his left fire-arm. "LET THERE BE FAIA!" He withdrew his entire body along with his arm and swung a powerful straight, literally firing his entire arm towards the Viner...like a rocket. Before he could fire another one, Voulge jumped straight into the wall of fire without a second thought with his spear headed low to the ground.

The heat didn't bother the navi one bit, not even making him break out a single drop of sweat, and he raised the spear above his head. The flame broke out in a bright blue flame, standing out within the hell fire Voulge is in, and the blade extended out into a shape of a snake spear. "Incidere, Avaria-Lancea!!" Voulge swung the spear across the Totams with sheer brute strength, but applied enough precision that it wasn't a simple blind swing of his spear. He backed away from the virus in case they would retaliate, approached them once more to give one more slash to end them for good.

"ONE MORE, ONE MORE!!" Ignis swung his right arm around like a madman and even began to spin around out of control. Though it would've made his shots completely inaccurate, the SP actually revealed his hidden Olympian inside of him as he shot putted his own arm in a wide arc, diving straight down at the Viner across the other side of the field. "I...Ur....Urp." Ignis fell down to the ground, seeing nothing but stars and spinning images after his dizzying attack.

Voulge sighed as he watched his SP performing his needless actions, but he ignored it for now as he looked over at the other viruses that might be after him. The navi pulled out a small, golden boomerang out from his brigandine and immediately began to alter its shape into something a little more sufficient. The simple, angled design of the boomerang blade molted and reformed into a jagged, almost picasso-like shape. After a test swing to see how it cuts through the air, Voulge took it behind his head and swung it straight towards the Viner and possibly the WaterDragon behind it.

Before the virus group could even react, Red was up and gone, teleported into the airspace above the WaterDragons. She bombed the ground below with her IceSeed, coating the surface underneath the pot-borne viruses with a thick layer of ice. While still able to take advantage of this higher vantage point, Red launched a WideShot down on the WaterDragons and struck both with a spreading wave of water. Unfortunately, it seemed that freezing some of the most powerful Aqua viruses on the Net was not an easy task...

Myun, meanwhile, rushed straight for Totam D, and proceeded to punch it silly. Her flurry of fists was not very well-appreciated by the other Totams, and Totam C in particular chose to display its disapproval by spitting a line of fire out at Myun, charring the rabbit's fur rather thoroughly. Undeterred by that, however, Myun continued to assault Totam D. Every time her punches struck home, the virus would spin in a half circle, alternating between its red face and its blue face. Red face... Blue face... Red face... Blue face... At this point, Totam D was sick of the beating it was getting, and while staring at Myun with its blue face, the virus engulfed itself in a blue flame, relieving itself of every bit of damage it had to this point received. Shocked and infuriated by the futility of her attacks, Myun launched another pair of quick punches, spinning Totam D around in a full circle yet again. After that, Myun relaxed the tension in her fists and let her internal systems go to work at repairing the damage she earlier received. Unfortunately, directly in front a quartet of viruses was not the best place to patch yourself up, and Totam B took the opportunity by the reins and gave Myun a fresh roasting.

While that was going on, Team Voulge opted for a more strategic approach. Licht advanced on the Viners, while dragging along Ignis with the idea in mind of conserving the loudmouthed SP's energy. Upon arrival, Ignis proceeded to make a very arrogant claim towards the plant-like viruses, radiating his ego to such a massive degree that it seemed like it could repel incoming damage. Voulge compiled together a makeshift shield from his natural surroundings, then drove his lance into the ground while eying the Totam group. As the pointed weapon dug deeper into the grass, fire erupted from the newly created hole, and a line of the stirring blaze trailed out towards the viruses before exploding in a brilliant conflagration of flames.... Seemingly. While the reality of the fire could be put into question, there was no doubt that a second Voulge burst out through the burning wall and proceeded to rush the viruses. Totam A was not amused by the prospect of two Voulges, so it was quick to launch its own flames out at the copy, burning it out of existence rather decisively.

At this point Red landed on the ice and brandished her ElecSword. Well... She tried to land, at least. Red was a Wood Navi, and ice didn't really provide the traction she needed. Coupled with the length of her fall, Red's foot slipped clean off the ice the moment it made contact, leaving the hooded Navi to fall flat on her back. The two WaterDragons merely watched on as Red struggled to stand up on the ice, which was difficult enough of a task that she had to devote some of the energy she had planned for her ElecSword to the effort. Once she had finally righted herself, Red leaped at WaterDragon B, yelling loudly as she swung her ElecSword and... slid right past the virus. The WaterDragon made somewhat of an effort to dodge, but it general it didn't seem like it was a great idea to go melee-range this slippery ice...

In the meantime, Voulge made his rush at the Totams, while Ignis armed himself with a FireHit2 against the Viners. The crystalline SP launched his attack with the utmost confidence, sending a fist of flames racing towards Viner B, which upon contact quickly incinerated into nothing. Infuriated by the unprovoked murder of its brother, Viner A weaved its root underground and soon broke up through the soil's surface to tie up the brazen SP in a spiky bind. While Ignis and the Viner wrestled with each other, Voulge drew his FireSword and jumped out at the Totams. His weapon skills were apparently not just limited to the lance, as Voulge deftly cut with the burning blade, striking all four Totams once in quick succession. This act flipped Totams A, B, and C to their blue faces, and just like with Totam D before, a blue flame engulfed the three and repaired the cut and burn marks Voulge had just imparted on them. Viner A continued to constrict its root around Ignis, scratching at his crystalline body before Ignis just got entirely sick of it and unleashed a second round of his FireHit2, burning the root into ash and taking the core of the Viner along with it.

As this phase of the battle winded down, Voulge and Red both made one last strike. The armored Fire Navi equipped a Boomerang and infused it with additional power before throwing it at one of the WaterDragons. Red deployed her DBLCube, which cycled rapidly between red and blue much like the Totams had been all battle before coming to a final rest on red. That result sent a wave of red energy across the battlefield, passing harmlessly over Red's allies and striking all the viruses. The four Totams all switched their faces one final time after the attack, and Totam D, now back on its blue face, washed itself in blue flame for a second time, relieving the fresh damage it had accumulated. The WaterDragons, though, proved to be a bit more stubborn. Both serpentine viruses dove into their pots like turtles into their shells, and the incoming Boomerang and DBLCube wave bounced off harmlessly.

"This battle has become much more difficult than I thought." said Voulge as he slowly strafed around the Totams in front of him. His eyes strayed to the side and saw both WaterDragons barely wounded from Red's attack. He was honestly surprised, given the effort she put in attacking just two viruses would've at least gotten one to a critical state, but it wasn't the case. However, he wasn't in the position to say something like that out loud when all of his attack was simply shrugged off by the Totam's natural healing ability.

"HAAAAA!!! HOW DOES IT FEEL THAT I KILLED TWO AND YOU COULDN'T EVEN GET ONE!" Ignis was over his head again with his ego, constantly circling around Voulge till the navi's ear was ringing with the SP's laughter. "YUMMM, LET ME SAVOR THIS MOMENT RIGHT NOW....FUCK NO, I'LL ENJOY THIS TO THE FULLEST, BABY!" The red, floating crystal constantly yammered on about his success, but Voulge wasn't bothered by it one bit. He raised his head up towards the sky, which in reality, was facing Marius and gently requested his chips. "If you could, please."

Now with a mouthful of ham, Marius wiped off his lip with the bottom sleeve and sent another set of random chips with a click of a button. The navi raised his hands as two holographic images appeared in card form, one revealing the same exact depiction of the enemy right in front of him. Voulge gave off a small grin, thinking to himself that lady luck was by his side, and immediately began the preparation for the battle. "Red!" said the navi as his eyes tightly locked towards the Totams. "We'll stay with our original plan. But I'll assist your as soon as possible!"

Voulge created the same exact shield he made before, while Licht drifted off to the Totam on the right. Seeing how the blue faced Totams were completely passive, the green SP had no fear in approaching the stump-like virus and fired a miniature tornado to send it slamming against the other Totam. "Good work!" The spearman twisted his spear around him before he struck the blade against the ground, causing the grounds to split and give rise to his own Totam.

The summoned Totam gave off a thick laughter, echoing across the field as it twisted around and around before it set its eye upon its three siblings. Its wooden eyes cringed as it looked over the virus and began to suck in as much air as it could, releasing an inescapable flame that swallowed everything in its path and left nothing but black ash. "Now it's your turn." said Voulge as he turned towards Ignis, who was still circling around and laughing. The navi abruptly grabbed the SP in air and gave it a quick throw against the Totem. "Aiiiiiieeeee~" Ignis crashed against the object, but the best it did was a simple scratch and it changed the Totem around to its blue face.

"Leave no survivors!"

Voulge plucked his Lancea off the ground, sheathing it onto his back and pulled out an array of throwing daggers. In a blink of an eye, all of the dagger's blade was wrapped with a pocket of water, soon exploding to change the color of the blade into a dark blue hue. He first pointed his finger towards the Totam's general location, analyzing if there were any Totams that survived the last attack, and threw all the daggers at once along with Licht's glitch attack.

The navi was contempt at his own attack and looked over the WaterDragons and tried to see how Red was doing. It was difficult to know was truly going on, but he promised a support, and that was what he intended to do. Looking through the randomized chips, he carried both the Sensor and the Arrow chip from a moment ago. Seeing how Sensor wouldn't be the best choice of attack with Red running around, Voulge decided on the Arrow as he applied its energy into yet another throwing knife.

The entire knife vibrantly shined in a golden light and the shape of the blade even changed shape into a sleeker, more aerodynamic form. Voulge casually flipped the dagger up and down before he gave a quick look at his target, throwing the chip-imbued dagger in a deadly precision.

"Shoot!" Red pouted, starting to stomp her foot on the ground, but reconsidered when she laid eyes on the slippery surface. In the meanwhile, she converted her internal energy sources to healing energy and directed them through the common PET link toward Myun, hopefully healing some of her precious pet's injuries.

The rabbit's healing processes responded in turn, the muscle fibers around the affected areas knitting together and reducing the damage. Myun decided to sit this one out, focusing her eyes warily on every aspect of the battlefield and dodging whenever necessary.

"There's no time to get angry, though you could probably throw your Elecsword at one of the WaterDragons if you wanted," Shin suggested.

"Grrrrr.... I might just do that!" the crimson crusader growled, twirling her electrified blade as she locked eyes with the nearest WaterDragon and glared.

Quick as the lightning hopping about her sword, the fairy-tale fighter flicked the end of the sword handle powerfully, sending it flying straight at the Pot-spawned virus, hoping to give it a swift and painless death. Though whether electrocution is always swift and painful can usually be brought into question.

Voulge gave off a small grin, thinking to himself that lady luck was by his side, and immediately began the preparation for the battle. "Red!"  said the navi as his eyes tightly locked towards the Totams. "We'll stay with our original plan. But I'll assist your as soon as possible!"

Recognizing her partner's call, Red sighed, shrugging and shaking her head. How foolish, she forgot she wasn't alone.

"Alright! But if I finish here faster then I'll come help you!" the red-caped wonder called back enthusiastically, her operator chuckling at the turn of events.

Putting on a smile, Red twirled in the direction of the WaterDragons, eyes blazing with determination. Raising a hand to the sky, Red notified Shin of her next attack.

"Heh, going with that one huh?" the self-proclaimed ace chuckled, picking out a chip with a picture of an ElecOgre on it. "Then let's fry 'em good!"

"Right!" Red replied, nodding firmly as the chip was slotted-in. Electricity gathered around the palm of her raised hand, forming a powerful mass of energy. Shimmering yellow, the mass was grasped by Red, who immediately locked on to the next WaterDragon and flipped her palm down in an arcing motion, sending streams of lightning screaming through the air as they made their way toward the WaterDragon in attempts to destroy it completely.

Sighing, Red vented her frustration and kicked the ground heavily forward. Responding to her wishes, the terrain was uprooted and was replaced by a giant field of grass that led up to a hill. A tree suitable for providing shade was formed as well.

"Alright, that should do it. We'll need to get our allies healed too," the natural maiden mused, digging through her picnic basket.

"If that's the case I've already sent down a few things," Shin replied, getting up from his office chair and stretching. "Go for it."

"Gotcha," Red nodded as she pulled out a jar of wax and smashed in on the ground. A towering candle sprouted up from the spilled wax and lit itself on the top with a green flame. Accessing the friend-or-foe identifier, the Candle spread out a refreshing aroma to all of Red's allies, relieving them from some of the wounds suffered in battle.

"Ok, it's time to help you all out!" Red called, sometime after Ignis had headbutted their own Totem. "Huh? Did another one spawn randomly? Is this area really badly infected or something?"

"No...I think that's Voulge's own Totem. Must be a chip," Shin mused, doing jumping jacks to wear off any muscle tension he might have from sitting down too long.

"Huh, kind of like SideBamboo right?" Red contemplated, scratching her chin. "Oh well! It's time to burn 'em up!"

And with that and a stomp on the ground, the whole battlefield began to shake, signaling the coming of Red's next attack.

Lava burst out from under the grassy surface, forming columns that designated the Totam group as an immediate threat and marched tenaciously towards them, determined to burn the viruses to cinders in an attempt to help Voulge's assault.

"I think that's it. Hope we got all of them," Red nodded firmly, glancing over the battlefield in case she needed to desperately move out of the way of any oncoming attacks.

Starting off, Voulge's green-crystal SP assisted him in lining up the Totems, while the Navi summoned a randomly-selected Totem copy to burn down its brethren. It worked quite flawlessly, burning down the Totams before they could get a single counterattack in. Ignis, meanwhile, took a trip in headbutting crashing into said Totem copy, turning it blue. Unfortunately, the totem's energy was temporarily drawn out, and Ignis received no healing in return.

Meanwhile, Red was dealing with the WaterDragons' antics, redirecting her sugary affliction to assist Myun in recovering the rabbit's wounds faster. She then made a move to throw a powerful electrified sword at one of the WaterDragons, which struck the beast just as it reared its head from the pot, dealing it a heavy dose of lethal electrical wonders. The fried potted monster's friend did not appreciate this very much at all, and charged from its hiding place just as Red unleashed her ElecReel, dealing her not too little in terms of incredible hurt. (140) Fortunately, the ElecReel hit the Dragon mid-hit, deleting it before it could get another hit in. The Candle and grassy stage created later didn't hurt much, either.

Voulge let out a sigh of relief as he looked over the cleared field, seeing no sign of any more viruses. He immediately approached the remains of the charred Viner and scavenged what was left, surprisingly finding more than a handful of fresh leaves from the deleted virus as he found a chip data among them. "Oohh, we have a salad this time." said Ignis as he floated just above the navi's head.

He got back up as he stored the leaves into his of his bags and turned towards Red with a small smile on his face. "Did you find anything worthwhile, Red?"

"This. Pot." Red started, picking the pot up. It actually looked more like a cauldron, but...

"This.... is the best pot. We'll use this to cook something," Red announced, sending the data she found in the pot to her operator, who quickly switched a couple of chips around in his folder to make a fit.

Red stored the pot in her picnic basket, and nodded toward Voulge.

Voulge nodded his head in approval as he saw the emptied pot, giving off a faint smile as well. "Nice find. We'll use it when we have more ingredients to cook." Though he had a bag full of foods he gathered before, their current location just wasn't the best place to start a picnic. The last battle could have alerted more virus near the vicinity, and the aroma of cooked foods can attract even more.

However, as of right now, Voulge tried not to over think and began to wave his hands towards Red. "Let's get moving."

"Alright! I'm right behind you!" Red cheered, excitedly as she and her SP pumped their fists in the air in unison before skipping along behind Voulge and his SPs.

As Voulge and Red's team moved onwards in search of more food items to obtain, they started to realize that the ground they were walking on was gradually forming into an incline, and that the grass underneath their feet looked to be dotted with empty spaces in the soil, as if someone had stamped on the grass extra-hard and killed it- someone with huge round feet, if that were to be true. Anyway, their travels soon brought them to a grassy hill, filled with what looked to be overbearing stone head statues. Fifteen, exactly, if one bothered to count. Of course, the heads weren't the only thing on the fields, the Navis discovered, as a stray kunai flew over Myun's head. Their attention was now directed at one of the Genin that threw said kunai, along with its identical friends. Oh, and some Killer Weeds growing on a few of the statues, and of course a few Gloomers to complete the party.

-ROGUE BATTLE THREE, FIGHT!!-
"You know, I don't think Yumland has much in terms of variety besides vegetable and produ- Whoa!" Red yelped as a Kunai sailed over Myun's head and landed in the ground behind them. Their attention was directed at the ninja-viruses behind the Moai heads and the viruses surrounding the area. The ground was inclined and had odd patches of soil scattered about, but that just worked in Red's favor.

"I'll draw their attention, you can get 'em while they're distracted!" Red called back to Voulge, hoping he would catch on.

"Need anything?" Shin inquired, twirling chips into a row onto his desk.

"I dunno, you have any experience with these?" Red responded, tilting her head in confusion as she examined the hiding viruses.

"Let's see... there was this virus encyclopedia somebody started...." Shin started, looking through the BBSes. "...found it! They'll get close if you attack them, so I guess draw them near and have something else roast them to bits!"

"Then I'll need to go where I'm the fastest, yop!" the crimson crusader cheered as she bounded toward a patch of soil. Reaching into her picnic basket, Red flung a few cherry blossom petals out, snapping her fingers as four blades formed out of the possibly infinite amount of petals in the basket and rushed toward each of the Genin viruses.

"Now Mr. Voulge!" Red called, backflipping suddenly, anticipating an oncoming attack as her sugar deposits were accessed by her healing subroutines.

Myun also got ready to move, muscle fibers patching up old wounds as she observed the competition.

"But have you actually tried to find food yourself? Yumland is abundant with so much mea-" Just as when Voulge was getting into the conversation between him and Red, a kunai flew between them and halted their brief moment of socializing. "Wh-where are they! Shit, I can't see where it came from!" Ignis began to shake frantically as it constantly circled around to find their assailant, but Voulge and Red immediately saw the rows of moai heads in front of them and caught a glimpse of the Genin that threw the dagger.

"I'll draw their attention, you can get 'em while they're distracted!" said Red before she took off towards the nearest patch of soil. "...She doesn't know what she's getting into..." Voulge strongly disagreed with Red's short plan to draw out the Genins, but it was too late as she began to shuffle through her basket and already prepared for an attack. He turned his head towards the sky and exclaimed his operator's name. "Marius! I need your direct operation!"

The said operator didn't give any answers, nor the sound of gobbling down foods was heard. Instead, a sound of a toilet flushing came into Voulge's ear and a big sigh of relief was also heard. "Phew, that's all that." Marius finally finished his meal and drank down a glass of juice to chase it down. He let out yet another sigh as his fingers ran through the chip folder to pull out 6 chips at once. "Don't do this again, alright? Being bothered while eating is too bothersome."

Voulge nodded his head as he drew out his Lancea, creating a shield from cracked pieces of the moai heads and a handful of soil. "Your Will Be Done!". He thrusted his spear up into the sky as the blade began to flicker back and forth in red and blue. The very next moment, the lights began to shoot out from the spear in a helix formation, the red beam and the blue beam constantly circling one another.

As soon as the last trace of the light escaped the spear, Marius began upload the other five chips and Ignis and Licht began to prepare for battle. "Don't be a chicken-wuss, you friggin ninjas! COME OUT PLAAAAY!" Ignis sprouted his flame arms and began his blind charge towards the school of moai, but Voulge stopped the SP once more with the waft of his hands and temporarily subdued him. "You need to stay behind. Attack all the seeds fired by the KillWeeds at all cost." Ignis tried to fight against Voulge's grip, but eventually gave up and gave out an annoyed sigh, "...Oh fine."

With that said, Ignis slowly drifted behind Voulge while Licht stayed next to its master, revolving its body to store wind energy. The spearman saw Red starting to attack the Genins and held his spear like a javelin and notified his partner. "Stay safe! I'll provide cover now!" His hand tightly gripped around the spear handle, causing a small golden spark to generate in between and eventually charge the entire weapon with its energy. Voulge stayed vigilant, constantly having his eyes locked towards Red, and immediately threw his chip-charged spear at the first sign of the viruses.

Licht finished his charge and the wind generated within his body began to glow in an emerald light. The wind it self started to look thicker as it eventually shaped into a green twister, but it was no bigger than the regular basketball. However, the twister's form was never constant, always bending its shape into something impossible due to its buggy properties. Licht's first target was the nearest Gloomer and launched it harrowing wind at it, immediately moving away from its current position to approach the next target.

Voulge left the Lancea as it was stuck on the ground after he threw it, creating a long links of chains between him and his weapon, and completely focused on covering Red from the Genins. He held both his hands to his side, causing the gauntlets to shine brightly in unmatched colors. The left arm shined in a crimson light, which eventually caused the entire gauntlet to catch on fire and burn ever brightly. The right arm shined in a golden light and uncontrollable surge of electricity began to pour out, but all the currents began to narrow down, creating a snake like stream of electricity coiled around his arm.

"BITE!"

The navi lifted his right arm and pounded it against the ground, allowing the electric snake to slither down to the ground and traveled through the thick grass like a bullet. It, of course, headed towards Red's general direction and took a sharp turn for the nearest Genin and jumped for its neck. On the side line, Licht arrived at his point destination and began to conjure another glitch tornado. While he was doing this, Ignis finally prepared for his own job as walls of tiny fireballs was besides him, constantly looking out for any seeds dropped by the KillWeeds. "Grr...Boring, boring, boring! After this, I ain't gonna listen to anything and do things my way!!!" His angry pout echoed through out the net and he fired a chunk of his fireball legion at the possible seed location along with Licht firing its tornado at another Gloomer.

Licht began to generate yet another pocket of wind inside of itself, but the process of creating one was much quicker than before as the tornado's color and shape was normal, unlike the one created before. It launched it to the ground in an angle, attempting to create a throw back with the gust of wind so it would be in another safe location. "...That bastard. When did he start thinking on its own! He use to be a g'damn boot for gawd sake!"

Voulge's left arm was still burning from all this time, but it started to become something much bigger. In almost every gaping holes of the gauntlet, a small drip of lava began to pour out, igniting a few patch of grass beneath him. "Make it quick. Red was seriously injured last battle. If you wait any longer, the Genins will definitely get her." The operator's word reached Voulge's ear, but it didn't stop him from charging the chip a little bit more. "...Understood!"

He clinched his left hand into a fist, causing a handful of embers to explode out from the gauntlet, and slowly pulled it back. His eyes was still fixed at his partner, yet at the same time, was focused on the Genin's activity. "BU-" "-RNING BLAST FIST DESTRUCTION OR WHATCHAMACALLIT!!" Voulge threw his left arm into a destructive straight punch and directed the entire heat and lava from the gauntlet into a cannonball-like bullet. "...What was that about?" asked Marius as he was confused at Ignis' sudden shout. "I was bored, okay? That guy always screams out some small shit all the time, and it's SOOOO DULL. I just spiced his dullness into something nice, alright? Is there anything wrong with that?"

"..." "..." "..."

There was an awkward silence amongst the chaotic battlefield. Everyone looked down at Ignis, and the said SP began to cower in embarrassment. "...F-fine. No more."

Voulge shook his head side to side and focused towards the battle once more. He looked over the last two remaining chips and couldn't help but to make out a small smirk on his face. "A Totem2 and AirStorm2. It's good to have the chips I want rather than getting it randomized." Marius sighed as he was gulping down another glass of juice, scratching his head all the while as he pounded the glass onto the table. "Oh, stop your whining. You survived all this time, right? Plus, that code I wrote was pretty damn complex. Without anything left to say, Voulge nodded his head in thanks and pulled the chain in front of him to retrieve the Lancea.

The spearman began to flip the spear side to side, extracting the next chip data into the spear for the time being. Ignis and Licht began their job in attacking their targets, but the poor red crystal began to falter...most likely due to the little scolding from before. He was silent for the time being while Licht fired one last glitch tornado at the Gloomer before it plopped down to the ground in exhaustion. Marius was starting to be curious about Ignis' silence, but just before he could ask a question, the SP literally exploded in frantic rage.

"BANSIONONABVUONANOCN!!!"

Ignis looked it was having a seizure, but as he began to go crazy with his rage, more and more fireballs was created before it was an entire wall of it. He stopped, panting like a dog as he tried to catch his breath, and cleared his throat right after. "...All you f*cking seeds are MOTHERF*CKING DOWN!!" Directing his embarrassed rage towards the inanimate seeds, the wall of flame split into two and headed in different directions, but all the same goal to burn it into ashes.

Though this would be considered an irrational action, Marius and Voulge simply smiled as it was the same ol' Ignis they knew and loved. When the extraction was complete, Voulge stopped the swinging with his spear and directed the blade directly to the ground. "Watch out, Red! Stay clear from it" After he warned Red, he struck the spear into the ground to summon a giant totem right besides the navi. The wooden object looked straight towards the Genins and began to chuckle in a deep-toned laughter. As soon as the laughter was finished, the Totem took no time to waste as he began to breath out a stream of flame from its mouth and constantly twisted his head side to side while doing so.

"Now for the AirStorm2...We'll use it against the KillWeeds. They look a little too far away from the fun."

Voulge nodded as he plucked the spear off the ground, immediately changing it into a giant, bladed metal fan. The navi was completely unfamiliar with how the chip works, but after a few test swing of his new weapon, he got the gist of things and folded it to his side. He readied his fan like a sheathed sword before he opened it once more, "Ventus" He uttered a word to himself and began to swing the fan in a strange pattern, creating a powerful wind that sucked in towards the navi. The wind was directly focused on the three KillWeeds from afar, taking in nothing else as Voulge constantly swung his fan. When the viruses began to get closer and closer to the navi, Voulge stopped his swing and closed the fan once more. He held the fan above his head and swung it straight to the ground while he opened it in mid swing, causing three separated tornadoes to fly right at the KillWeeds!

"Thanks but.... ah, Myun, help me out here!" Red called back as Voulge summoned the Totem.

The rabbit sighed, nodding as she raced towards her master's location and grabbed Red firmly around the waist. Grunting with herculean effort, the boxing bunny watched the Genin activity and bounced powerfully out of the way of any incoming attacks.

Sensing another incoming attack, Myun lashed out at possible thrown Kunais with her ears, attempting to knock them to the ground.

"Sheesh, this is a pretty hard group," the crimson crusader admitted, grimacing at the effort the tactics they resorted to required.

"No pain no gain," Shin advised, calmly drinking some green tea.

"Says the person in a comfortable office chair," Red retorted, a bit disgruntled.

Red moved to distract the Genin with her buster spam, with Myun's assistance. Together they evaded a barrage of Moonblades and crap. It decimated an entire troupe of five Moai Heads, though. Voulge moved to assist first, his spear flashing red to blast every enemy with a dose of hurt. His spear throw was way off at first, but due to the chip strengths imbued into it, it somehow swerved around to go for another shot at the Genin. Licht's attack at the first Gloomer kind of ticked it off, and it launched its boomerang at the crystal SP, shaving off half of its HP. (45) The other Gloomers focused their attacks on Voulge, but somehow their attacks swerved way off course. Next up, the SnakeEgg attack managed to end the life of one Genin, but the subsequent LavaCannon was misdirected and blew up a Moai Head instead. Licht took the advantage of the Gloomers' exposed heads, and hit them with a couple of twisters, but all it did was just kind of make them dizzy. Ignis exploded the seeds successfully, and Voulge summoned a Totem. Two Genin were lost to the Totem's heated breath, and the AirStorm sucked up the trio of KillWeed closer while hitting two of them for half their strength.

Seeing the KillWeed just in front of him, Voulge instinctively held his spear tightly and applied the next chip conveniently slotted by Marius. "FireKnife!" The spearhead combusted into a dark red flame and the sharpness of the weapon drastically increased. All it took was for him to swing his spear to finish it off, however, there were still two more KillWeeds still alive and well.

"On the count of three, Ignis. We will attack simultaneously." muttered Voulge as his eyes was still tightly fixated against the KillWeed in front of him. Ignis perked as he heard the command, but it wasn't long before he started to shake in excitement. "....awwwwwWWWW YEA!" His body was covered by a red-hot orange flame and he took the time to arrange it into the shape of a peacock's tail.

"One."

The totem swerved towards Red and began to turn side to side, trying to tell her that it will take care of the KillWeed while she'll do her own thing. Its wooden face cringed as it turned to the KillWeed, slowly forming into a Grinch-like smile.

"Two."

Ignis' peacock tail began to pluck out one by one, each quill hovering besides the SP like a floating sword, and all of them began to direct their attention at the virus beside the destroyed moai. "Hehe, guess who's going to die?!" Voulge, on the other hand, held his spear and shield high as he still faced the KillWeed before him. His eye slowly turned to each side, seeing both the Totem and Ignis ready to act upon the countdown, and he yelled out the last of the number.

"THREE!"

The slash from the Avaria-Lancea was quicker than the two as the thin trail of flame was hung in the air, tracing a straight line that followed the how the spear traveled and cut through the virus. The Totem's mouth opened like a nutcracker doll and began to spew a hellfire upon the virus that stood in front, while Ignis directed the fire-feathers with the swing of his fake fire-arms. "GO, GO, GO!" Each feathers was let loose like a missile, creating a loud explosion as it took off towards the last of the KillWeeds.

Marius, on the sideline, wasn't satisfied with how the battle was turning up. A single Genin was still alive, and Voulge's simultaneous attack countdown could have given some of them a chance to escape. His fingers rummaged through the folder to pick out two chips with his index and middle finger, flipping them upward and examined to see if it was the right chip. "Lock-On2 and TankCannon2. We don't need survivors."

The operator slotted the two chips in one by one and a small green satellite appeared besides the navi. Voulge simply pointed his finger upwards, commanding the summoned object to hover just above his head and open fire with its minigun towards the possible virus survivors.

The next chip converted the Lancea into a metallic gunlance with two barrels stacked upon one another. Opening the chambers to load not one, but two sizable bullets into the weapon, Voulge had his eyes set upon the Gloomers from afar and dug the stock into the grass. While he placed the weapon ground, Voulge angled the barrel in a degree so that it would fire in an arc, using the giant gun as a pseudo-mortar to take out the viruses in one swipe. "Open fire!" With a pull of the trigger, the two barrels expelled both bullets into the sky, which slowly began its decent down to its target viruses.

"That worked out well," Red commented, sighing in relief as Voulge's assault had wiped out the more problematic viruses.

"As a reward, let's have some healing for everyone!" Shin suggested, sending down the Candle2.

"Good idea!" the crimson crusader replied, moving back down on her own two feet and taking a step back as the Totem indicated its purpose. "Hehe, thanks, here, have a friend!" Red giggled, smashing down a vial of wax in front of her. The towering candle formed quickly and lit its tip with a soothing green flame. The aroma spread over to all of Red's allies, soothing their wounds in preparation for upcoming battles. Red's own sugar deposits were accessed and started overwriting the damage taken from the last battle.

"Now then, let's seriously help out," Red suggested, grinning as two chips were downloaded into her systems.

Moving out to the side, Red spotted the disoriented Gloomers that suffered from Voulge's illusory attack and took them as easy pickings. Skidding to a halt, Red punched the ground, causing the ground to quake and towers of lava to erupt from the ground, surging their way toward the Gloomer group in hopes of incinerating them completely.

Seeing Voulge load up a TankCannon, Red had Shin help her calculate the best distance where she could close in on the Gloomers and avoid her partner's explosive attack. That settled, she snapped her fingers, upon which a giant top hat came falling from the sky, closing over Red while a giant magic wand appeared and tapped the hat twice.

The top hat rose up to reveal....

...that Red had moved to a position in line with the Gloomers, close enough to attack, but far away enough to not get caught in the TankCannon blast, supposedly.

Swiping at the ground with her hand, a stream of flame burst forth and assaulted the Gloomer viruses, attempting to fry them once and for all.

Jumping back, Red accumulated the wind from the area and cherry blossom petals from her picnic basket into a single point in front of her. Imitating holding a gun with her right hand, the red-caped wonder pointed at the swirl of nature in front of her and said...

"Bang," winking and lifting her finger up as if she had really fired a gun.

The swirl responded, rocketing forth as a pink, spiraling cyclone that shot out at a single Gloomer, attempting to shred it to bits from the impact of Red's most powerful signature attack.

Shin had sent down a RiskyHoney, and Red took the precaution to activate it, a dome of honeycombs surrounding her figure as eager bees positioned themselves behind each honeycomb, ready to swarm whatever hit first.

"Alright, your turn again, Mr. Voulge!" Red called out, waving cheerfully at her partner.

Myun took most of this time to position herself off the soil and watch her enemies closely in order to move out of the way of any attacks if necessary.

First off, the remaining Genin got on the receiving end of Voulge's earlier attack, causing it to die a painful, painful death of electrocution and penetration. Now, he stabbed at the KillWeed right in front of him, but somehow his aim was off, and the plant circled around the knife with surprising ease! The KillWeed retaliated with its seed, but of course, Voulge had his shield, and the seed bounced off harmlessly. The other attacks from the Totem and Ignis hit true, and the weeds were immediately exterminated. Red summoned a Candle to help with healing, and everyone was that little bit happier as it glowed with its restorative flame. The Gloomers started to realize that they were now outnumbered, and some began to take evasive action. As such, when Red pulled out her FireTower, a couple of the Gloomers evaded the shot, while one took the damage. They then whirled their boomerangs towards Red, but the crimson crusader was too smart for that, and magicked her way out! The resulting Flameline afterwards then hit, deleting the remaining Gloomers. Now seeing that it was clearly outnumbered, the KillWeed opted for the coward's way out, and escaped!

Everyone was that bit happier as their wounds were restored, the Candle's light patching up their injuries quite well.

"Cheerful as always, heh," Shin chuckled, leaning back in his office chair. "Well now, what next?"

"Looks for ingredients of course! Hm, I wonder what these Gloomers could've dropped?" Red sang, searching among the viral corpses.

"It'd be a stretch to say any part of that virus is edible," Shin commented, sighing as he wiped his sunglasses.

"Any luck over there, Mr. Voulge?" Red called out, still searching for anything she could find out of the virus remains.
