From a dark corner of the Sharo Rogue network, a pool of slime appeared from the middle of a transfer pad, and Eternalis' form rose from it, as he walked off from it. Behind him, his peppy canine companion materialized from thin air, and barked as he saw Eternalis. The main path leading from the transfer pad glowed dimly, and Eternalis started the slow trek towards the Ezarith homepage.

Eternalis and Sparky stepped onto the waist-high snow of Sharo Rogue Network. Trudging a little through it they came upon a large frozen pond. In front of them they found a semi-humanoid boy-like virus pushing cube-shaped bombs around in the snow, and then watching them explode. Each explosion sends a shower of snow flying in all directions. Strangely, the boy didn't seem affected by the large explosion.
In the middle of the pond was a virus that scooted along the ice while sending up pillars of water, which froze solid moments later. It seemed to be working in tandem with a virus with a built-in fan, who shattered the ice with tornadoes and compressed puffs of air. The ice spread all over the place, as if they seemed to be in the process of making the pond bigger.
Unfortunately, they all seemed to notice the Navis' presence and turned hostile.

"We haven't been to Sharo Net in some time, have we, Eternalis?" said Harke, as his Navi trudged through the snow. Sparky didn't seem to mind the snow as much, as his stubby legs carried him swiftly above the snow's surface, seeming to not touch the snow at all in the first place.
"Yeah, I think the last time I was here was with Aurora. The place is as cold as I remember," said Eternalis, reminiscing about the time when Aurora's smile was still fresh, and she had called him some weird nickname. A dopey smile crept up on his face as he went through the memory. It wasn't too bad, now that he thought back to it, it just sounded too much like a girl's name. Though a quick glance downwards didn't really show any indication that he was male either; it was only his voice that indicated him as anything close to being male.
"Arf! Arf! Arf!"
Eternalis' brief daydream was broken as Sparky started to bark. He turned his attention forward, only to be greeted by the sound of a loud explosion, and a coating of fresh snow in his face. Shaking the snow away, he saw that there were a trio of viruses working on... something, on an ice pool. Really, it just seemed like they were blowing up the pool for fun, though it did make the pool slightly bigger. Maybe that was their actual goal, he thought. Sparky's barks turned their attention towards them, however, and Eternalis lowered his stance slightly.
"Find anything?" said Harke.
"Yeah, just some small group. I think I'll distract them from Sparky. You got anything for that?"
"I'm a little hesitant about having you fight so quickly, but, well, if you say so. Try clumping them up with this," said Harke, as he slotted in the PanelGrab and RageClaw, "and clean them up with this." The subsequent chip was DollThunder, with its electrocuted Scarecrow adorning its front. "Good luck, keep yourselves safe."
"I don't know what you're talking about," grinned Eternalis, as the PanelGrab chip provided him with extra sensory information, allowing him to predict how the viruses were going to move around more easily. He looked down at Sparky, and clenched his fist. "Okay, Sparky, I'm going to go in on them. Just run around and don't let yourself get hit, okay?" he said, which was replied to with an affirmative yap. The Navi laughed, and turned back to the virus trio.
"Come at me, you weaklings!" he taunted, as the RageClaw chip data flowed into his left side. The slime gurgled violently as it took on the form of a huge clawed hand. Eternalis wasted no time in leaping forward at the short bomb-wielding virus, and whipped his enormous limb around like a giant bludgeon at it. Aiming to smack the virus onto the ice pool, he then liquefied nearly instantly in the middle of his leap, while his armor vanished into bits of data. On the opposite side of the pool of ice, Eternalis reappeared from the snow mid-leap, and twirled around in a sweeping kick towards the fan virus. Then, landing from his kick, he thrust out his right arm, which very rapidly began to build up an impressive electrical charge. The electrical attack quickly discharged into a thundering bolt of light that struck towards the ice pool, and he drew his hand back and thrust his chest out, ready to receive any attack with his rapidly regenerating body.
Meanwhile, Sparky had some ideas on how to make himself scarce. The pup barked as he dashed onto the ice with lightning speed, and started to skate around on it. Unfortunately, this went about as well as one would expect, and simply set the dog careening across the ice without any real sense of direction. The speed of which he had done so, however, would at least make him an obnoxiously difficult target for the viruses, and that was all that he needed.

With Sparky getting everyone's hackles up, battle was joined between the home-coming goo and the unsolicited pond-workers. As the puppy bounded onto the ice and touched down, things began to happen about as expected, starting with Sparky going skittering in an uncontrolled spin across the lake in comical fashion.
On a more serious note, the bomb worker summoned a fresh explosive, just as the AquaGear, centre pond, sent a fresh column of hammering water geysers across the stage towards Eternalis, rupturing the ice and causing it to re-freeze just as quickly in the process. Slime boy was already out of there, though, closing the ground to claw the explosive virus out from behind his bomb and hurl him, with great enthusiasm, back at the Aquagear, successfully colliding the two with a crash. The Hurricane, across the field sent out a trio of chasing whirlwinds, but there was no way either of the two that trailed after sparky could manage to pin him down, and the one that wandered near Eternalis found only the frosty Sharo air as he vanished from before it, to appear at a much more personal range to the wind virus.
The claws dug in a second time, lifting and throwing it, but though it landed close to the other two, it didn't quite impact in the same satisfying manner. Even so, the BombWork virus was struggling to right itself and rush back towards its bomb, while the rather perturbed AquaGear turned to Eternalis and struck out with a much quicker, more surprising attack; the sudden burst of freezing water from directly underneath him came too fast for him to respond to, and it quickly began to freeze his gooey form solid. A moment after, the thrown hurricane released a bolt of concentrated wind at Eternalis, too, trying to get him away from them both. Frozen stiff, he wasn't able to get away from it, and the wind pressure flung him back across to the far side of the lake forcefully... although it did shatter off most of the restricting ice with its impact.
The other good news was that this left Eternalis in a more or less choice position to counter attack with his thunder strike, and it struck cleanly through the three viruses, arcing back and forth with brutal power until they collapsed into smoking data. It may have caused a few moments of trepidation as his healing processes kicked in to counteract the minor damage he'd received during the fight; all things considered no-one would blame anyone present for worrying at least a little, but all seemed to be well, and he regenerated the injuries swiftly and efficiently without any problems. this left only the task of gathering loot before continuing.

Being blown back by the icy wind combination attack had left Eternalis slightly recoiling, but with the power of his self-recovery, he managed to laugh it off, and thrust his fist into the air. Well, his good fist, anyway, the RageClaw-imbued side was kind of melting back into the snow. "Score! All systems are going great. I feel like going a hundred percent!" he said, much to Harke's relief. "That's a relief. What's Sparky doing, though?" said Harke, as he craned to see what was going on through it, where the canine SP was having a blast just rocketing around the ice. In a fit of gleeful barking, the puppy careened into a snowbank, with his legs still going at mach speed. "All right, Sparky, that's enough ice skating, let's keep going," Eternalis laughed, as he reached down and pulled Sparky out of the bank. The pup reacted by shaking off the snow off of its head, and barking as he jumped off, with Eternalis slowly following behind.

With his spoils collected and his pup rescued from the snow drift, Eternalis continued the journey, making his way through the snow. The wind was blowing the light fall of snow towards him, but it wasn't heavy enough to really be considered bad weather, as far as the Sharo network was concerned.
The pathway narrowed as large rock walls rose to either side, but the way was still broad enough that it didn't feel tight or oppressive at all, though the snow was thicker in the valley. As he was passing through, though, a rumble sounded all around, and a pair of heavy, solid-looking Cragger pulled themselves out of either wall, lurching out to block the navi's way. there was still enough space to get between them, but a pair of Swordy with rank marks on their helms were swiftly rushing in from the other end of the valley. they pass to either side of a snow fort that was built up behind the two Cragger, from which a fifth virus popped up, readying a snowball to hurl towards Eternalis.

"I can't really imagine people living in this kind of weather in the real world," said Eternalis, as he trudged through the snow, following behind a very jumpy puppy. Despite the snow being normally movement-hampering, his slimy form allowed him to slink through in between the gaps in the snow relatively unhindered. Sparky simply leapt around fast enough that his feet never sank into the snow.
"You kind of get used to it eventually. Not that I don't hate it," replied Harke. Even so, just looking at the snowy landscape was making him shiver. It wasn't that he He remembered how his father worked hard to bring him over to Electopia with the research personnel transfer between them and Sharo, and was truly grateful for it. "Oh, you're heading into a valley now."
"Yeah, this would definitely be a perfect place to get ambushed in. Right, Sparky?" said Eternalis, smiling down at the pup. "Arf!"
Of course, just as Eternalis mentioned it, a low rumble rocked the little valley, and a few viruses started to filter in from all around. This time, there was no way for Sparky to avoid the attacks on ice, and thus he was reduced to hiding behind Eternalis' feet. Shivering against the snow, Sparky cowered behind him for a few moments before he felt Eternalis pat his head. The pup licked the slime Navi's fingers in return, and Eternalis turned back towards the viruses.
"So, what's the plan, Eternalis? I'll let you decide this time."
"Hm, first off, I think I'll need something a little sturdier than this," said Eternalis, as he crouched down onto the snow in a hunched position, and started to grow rapidly in size. Sparky barked and leapt away as Eternalis kept growing, and growing, until he took over a sizable portion of the valley from wall to wall, like a giant slimy dam wall, towering up at a size of nearly fifteen feet tall. His blue form changed into what was essentially a giant head made of grey slime, with a dopey-looking face, growing out two antennae-like growths on both sides of his head. As a final touch, he materialized a large metallic box behind him, and a sturdy-looking shield in front of him.
"Transformation complete. Broadside Soul Cross Form, Eternalis.EXE, reporting for duty," said Eternalis, as the shield slammed down into the snow beneath him like a giant bulwark. "Requesting WindRacket and WaterLine armaments."
"Wow, if that isn't the silliest giant monster transformation I've ever seen, I don't know what is," laughed Harke, as he sent in the requested chips, and turned his attention towards the screen, anxiously waiting as to what the robot-crossed Eternalis would do.
"Armaments confirmed," reported Eternalis, as the chips arrived safely in his data queue. The WindRacket was first in line, as the metal box behind him began to whir to life. Its metal exterior began to shift about, opening up a circular cavity, from which a giant fan emerged. The fan roared to life as Eternalis opened his enormous maw. The shield in front of him split in half briefly, just enough for the wind blast from his mouth to be expelled as a concentrated burst of wind, along with some chunks of slime. Due to its concentrated nature, it would only reach a short distance in front of him, but the wind-propelled slime it carried along would then harden into a very deadly kinetic strike.
It wasn't over yet, however, as the fan from the box retracted in, and some large water tanks emerged instead. Though they were still empty, a few tubes emerged from the box that stuck themselves into Eternalis' gargantuan body, filling up the tanks quite swiftly with grey slime. The tanks then slammed themselves into the ground, burying them about halfway through. The grey slime inside the tanks began to liquefy into a clear liquid, and emptied themselves rapidly. Beneath the Swordy viruses, a deep rumble would then sound, before releasing two giant geysers of water through the snow, enough to send any wayward knights flying into the sky, along with their errant snowballer.
"Armaments expended. Evaluating results," reported Eternalis, as his recovery processes then worked to receive any retaliatory damage that might follow. Meanwhile, Sparky was enjoying the show, though he was also keeping an eye out for any stray attackers that might have slipped past the enormous slime wall that was his Navi.

Sparky decided that he was safer behind his parent navi. And he made a good decision to hide behind Eternalis, as Eternalis just decided then to became a bigger target than before, coursing with electricity. Though by doing so Eternalis became bogged down in the snow. No longer was he the cool aqua element that was his claim to fame, now he was susceptible to the ravages of the cold terrain. Cold and wet. And the snowy terrain said that Eternalis, would be less mobile. Sparky, though he was also not aqua, pranced upon the snow like an elf, and was unaffected. Though the decrease in mobility didn't seem to bother Eternalis in the slightest, as he put down a huge tower shield and made himself even less mobile.
MetalCraggerA said nuts to this. Who was this upstart who decided to put some sort of shield in his face? It swung its arm and a huge rocky hand appeared above Eternalis. It fell down upon the immobile navi and his canine companion with a loud crash. When the dust cleared Eternalis was unharmed, even though his shield wasn't pointed up to absorb the impact. Remarkably, the wide attack caught the plucky canine companion, who tried to dodge impressively, but was unfortunately not evasive enough. With a howl he was EJO'd out back to Harke's PET.
Probably crying internally, Eternalis launched a wind attack at the MetalCraggers that EJO'd his dog. The WindRacket swept across the two MetalCraggers and caused quite the flurry of snow and ice. The normally non-elemental attack turned into a heavy aqua-based powerhouse. MetalCraggerA got the worst of it as it was frozen solid, shattering into a million tiny pieces as it was also blasted with pressurized frozen air. There was literally no snow or ice left where the virus once stood. MetalCraggerB just got deleted with no special fare (besides being launched into, and crashing against, a rocky wall). Though the space where MetalCraggerB once stood was now a patch of ice instead of a mound of snow. The snow from its surroundings began to encroach upon the ice slowly, trying to absorb it like some sort of snow-covered slime. The normal panel though, no snow wanted anything to do with it. It was now a forbidden place for fear of the incurring the wrath of its creator.
Having seen the power of the navi, there was some hesitation from the FortWarrior. However, the Swordies saw it as a challenge, and both teleported up to the mostly-immobile Eternalis. They appeared on both sides and slightly behind the navi, in a pincer move where his shield could not protect, and slash the heck out him with two watery slashes a piece. Surprisingly, they only hit once a piece. They must have had some latent hesitation deep within their virus' hearts. Thankfully, Eternalis did not freeze solid when the Swordies struck him with their watery swords. Without moving, Eternalis sent two blasts of water rocketing from the ground behind him, catching both of the Swordies within. Unfortunately, the Swordies were pretty evasive, and were able to dodge the first geyser. SwordyA2A was also missed by the second geyser as well. No freezing happened to the now wet SwordyA2B, as it quickly dried with a dog-like shake. The move could be seen as rubbing salt in the wound of Eternalis, reminding him of his recently EJO'd companion. Even though it was an unconscious reaction.
As Eternalis started his maintenance cycle, healing his injuries, the FortWarrior started throwing snowballs. It was pretty accurate and hit twice. Though, Eternalis had his huge tower shield out and he wasn't directly hit, though his shield started to loose chunks of itself. All the injuries inflicted upon it by the Swordies were healed moments later, restoring Eternalis to full operating condition.

As Sparky left the area with a beam of light, Eternalis' enormous body began to shake, as the water tanks receded into the box behind him. Being unable to turn his face back to where Sparky had been, his response was rather limited. A pulse of electricity began to run up the banded antennae on his head, and his light grey turned a shade of yellow. "Emergency Jack Out protocol activation detected on Support Program Sparky. Requesting permission for use of retaliative force," said Eternalis.
"Ouch, that had to hurt. I'll check on Sparky. Sending in some chips, tank their hits and take them out," said Harke, as he slotted in four chips through the selection screen.
As the chips were sent, Eternalis' yellow eyes began to spark with trails of arcing electricity, before they fired a quick laser beam towards the snowball-throwing virus in the rear. His eyes dimmed back down to their original light grey color, before his mouth started to open. The slime inside of his large mouth began to roil about violently, and a deep roar escaped from within, causing the valley to shake slightly. Before long, a series of slime chunks were expelled from it, which froze nearly instantly into a barrage of extremely sharp slime shards. Four of them were released in all, focusing towards the Swordy viruses that had been gathered in front of him.
Eternalis' mouth fell shut with a wet, yet heavy impact, as the next round of attacks started out. His body began to vibrate subtly, as a light yellow glow began to suffuse through the surface of his enlarged face. If the Swordy in front of him had survived the onslaught of slime blades, it would then feel itself being pulled towards Eternalis' body, where a large current had built up, and would destroy any errant sword-wielding knight on contact. Meanwhile, behind Eternalis, the metal box reconfigured itself slightly, as it launched a small autonomous drone into the air, shaped like a smooth sphere. The aerial H/K unit floated up into the skies, and scanned the perimeter for any stragglers. Should any remain on the battlefield, it would then charge headlong towards it. On the ground, Eternalis continued to stand relatively still as his recovery processes started back up to absorb any immediate replies to his attacks.

Eternalis launched an electric beam out of his eyes which struck the FortWarrior's snowfort. Elec beats Aqua though, so the beam melted straight through the shield and struck the shocked virus. The short little humanoid in winter gear collapsed upon his ruined fort, defeated. His sand castle of snow brought low by the slime's wrath.
Swordy A2B swiped at Eternalis as Eternalis swiped and stabbed at the Swordies. Eternalis' Katana2's first swipe smashed aside the aquatic sword and deleted Swordy A2B while injuring Swordy A2A. The follow-up stab also caught Swordy A2A, finishing the job.
With all the enemies destroyed, and the ice panel reclaimed by the snow, the BMD was ripe for the taking.

With all of the viruses cleared out, Eternalis' huge grey form disappeared in a ray of light, replaced by his usual blue humanoid form. His face looked slightly downcast as he walked towards the mystery data crystal to decrypt its contents.

The decoded contents of the mystery data didn't do much to lift Eternalis' spirits, though it still transferred over to Harke's PET, in any case. Harke opened the video link, which appeared as a floating screen in front of him. "They'll be fine, Eternalis, they're just resting for a bit. You wanna go on, or--"
"I-I'll be fine. Let's keep going. I'm sure Sparky wanted to take a quick nap, too," said Eternalis, as he passed by the valley, moving onwards to follow the path through the heavy snow.

Moving right along, Eternalis only had a short trek through the snow to contemplate his rudely ejected companion, before his path was blocked with a broad, frozen stream running across his path, between the hills. The ice surface was clear, and dark shapes could be seen moving in the water beneath. The wind had picked up, whipping through the valley and carrying an increasingly heavy flecking of fresh snow with it as it pushed against his back, blowing past and onwards in a way that created a low harmonic.
The surface of the frozen river looked solid enough to cross, but before he could make up his mind whether to do so or not, some of the dark shapes moved more erratically. One thrust up against the ice, then another, then a tall column of water erupted, bursting through the sheet ice as viruses followed, popping to the surface one after the other and facing him. At either end of the river, two pink-toned submarines had surfaced, pointing dangerous-looking forward muzzles at him, while closer to the centre a pair of shelled nautilus were also starting to regard him in a hostile manner.
A short way past the river, from a particularly large drift of snow, a single antenna extended with a light that began to blink on and off, and there was at least one more dark shape lurking under the surface of the water, too. Eternalis would be able to feel something slowing up his movements and reactions — like the whole area was chugging its way through heavy latency. The snow was getting heavier, and the wind fiercer; clouds overhead were dimming the sky.

Terrain is a wide valley, with hills on either side, which Eternalis is progressing through. A river cuts across his path, between two gaps in the hills, and the ground slopes down slightly towards it, then up again on the far side. The river was frozen, but the surface has now been shattered by viruses.

Terrain is a wide valley, with hills on either side, which Eternalis is progressing through. A river cuts across his path, between two gaps in the hills, and the ground slopes down slightly towards it, then up again on the far side. The river was frozen, but the surface has now been shattered by viruses.

The trek through the Sharo network was as cold and silent as the real thing, while Eternalis followed the main road through the area. Though he could have been forgiven on thinking that he had gotten off the beaten track somehow, as even Sharo Net's main roads were overrun with snow and frost. Still, the signs that floated every few meters confirmed that he was indeed not lost. As his journey sent him through a windy area, traveled through by a frozen stream, Harke wondered aloud. "Hm, Eternalis? Do you get cold in that?"
Eternalis continued slinking through the snow, though he slowed down slightly, perhaps to think. "I guess not, I don't think I can feel any cold to begin with. Anyway, this river certainly looks safe to cross, I think," he said, looking down at the frozen surface of the river. Clearly, some moving shapes could be seen through the ice, and he hadn't meant his previous statement in any way. Sure enough, the river's surface burst open, revealing some submarines and shelled viruses.
"Yeah, looks pretty peaceful to me, there's only like five of them in the ice," said Harke, as he slotted in a few chips. "Do you want any chip in particular?"
Eternalis widened his stance as the chips arrived, scouting out the viruses that had appeared. He had seen only four surface from the ice, but as he looked down at the river, there was indeed another figure still lurking at the bottom of the riverbed. At the other end of the river, he could also spot a hidden antenna lurking underneath a large snowdrift. Those were likely the first ones that he would need to take out first. "Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll just take these. Oh, if you could send me the new chip we just got, too? I want to see how it does."
"No problem, it's on your way. Good luck."
Eternalis' right hand then began to morph for the first of the chip attacks, transforming into a two-pronged spear. Pointing it down at the mystery fifth figure in the river, he tried to fish it up to the surface, where any contact with his speared limb would result in a very electrically charged demise. Eventually, the electrical charge ran out, and he prepared the next round of attacks. Eyeing the far end of the river, he roughly set up a quick calculation to line up the mollusk-like viruses, and quickly vanished into the air. However, he also left behind a chunk of his own slime behind, which began to vibrate intensely on its own, sending a cacophony of sound around the river area.
The slime Navi reappeared in mid-air, hurtling across the river quite quickly. Winding back his left side into its original arm form, Eternalis swung it in a wide hook, detaching a good chunk of it towards the Nautilus viruses. The slime chunk spun rapidly as it streaked through the air, building up electrical charge as it went. Then, suddenly, it accelerated into an imperceptibly fast lightning bolt, crashing into the water with an impressive explosion.
Still rapidly traveling across the river, Eternalis made his way towards the opposite riverbank, heading towards a certain snowdrift. His left side still carrying a lot of momentum from the earlier attack, he made use of it by imbuing the last of his given armaments into it. The WindRacket data caused his body to whirl about like a veritable tornado as he crashlanded into the snow, throwing up a huge amount of it with his attack. Though he'd had a relatively powerful impact on landing, his body was ready to absorb the blow, as well as any other attacks he might have received during the process.

Confronted with new foes, Eternalis immediately identified the sources of more subtle danger on the field, and tried to focus on them first. Unfortunately though he aimed carefully to pull the murky shadow from the depths of the river, it slid away amidst the dark waters, and his magnetic bolt failed to get a fix on the creature. While he was occupied with this less than fruitful fishing enterprise, though, the two Marinas at either end of the section of river released spiralling bubbles towards him before slipping beneath the surface of the water again. The bubbles each contained heavy-looking anchors, and the twin helix of attacks drifted over before bursting on either side of the navi and dumping a painfully heavy weight onto him — one anchor on each foot. Ouch. (-80, -80) This also seemed to be enough of a distraction for the small snow-covered antenna to sweep a beam across the area and successfully lock it onto Etneralis before he could avoid the search path. A series of small beeps and a rising amount of steam started to come from the small mound of show, which shuddered and shook.
In the spirit of adding to the shenanigans, Eternalis himself countered by activating a cacophony of noise from a left-behind chunk of his person, which seemed to wash over the assembled viruses, making them react in various negative ways. Most didn't seem to like the sound. the two Nautilus viruses in the middle of the river responded by raising sudden plumes of water beneath Eternalis, but the goo-navi was already gone, teleporting away from the otherwise pin-point accurate strikes. As he reappeared, the two submarines peeked up to fire more bubbles, but between re-aiming and recalibrating to his new positioning, neither seemed to aim their spiral attacks very well, and the bubbles drifted past him to either side.
Eternalis was readying a far more potent attack of his own, but before he could launch it, the murky shadow in the water launched itself upwards in an over-zealous tackle-hug, splattering all over him. slime met slime, and it was.. well, it wasn't really that glorious, let's be honest (-45, Slow). The Slimer clung to him, slowing him down with its contaminating goo, but a moment later this proved its undoing. the navigator's electrical attack charred the slime virus off him on its way to the two nautilus, neither of which managed to escape becoming over-done seafood. the bolt also struck one of the bubbles as it drifted away, popping it, and causing the anchor within to come flying back towards Eternalis, though thankfully it missed this fly-by as well.
All of this delay meant that by the time Etenralis made it to the pile of snow and struck with his blustery offence, the Satellite that had been buried there rocketed away skyward, just in time to avoid his attempt. Fortunately, it only just got clear, and his efforts sent it wobbling and spinning slightly as it tried to shoot him; despite having a solid lock, only four of the tracer bolts actually managed to strike him, from the veritable barrage that it launched (-36). Despite the heavy punishment, of course, he was still a very resilient goo-navi, and Eternalis regenerated his way through most of the damage that came his way.
As the satellite settled back down again, hissing steam, more shocks seemed to wrack its system, and out of site a similar thing was happening tot he two submarines — quite suddenly, none of them could move properly at all.

"Oof!"
As the attacks started coming in, Eternalis' face started to look more and more perturbed, as the healing processes he possessed seemed to be overwhelmed by the barrage of attacks. Luckily, as soon as he finished his last attack, all of the viruses appeared to have their positioned locked down pat, allowing Eternalis to take a breather and focus more on repairing the amount of damage the viruses had done to him. Fortunately, the damage was nearly all repaired quite quickly.
"Damn, they hit hard. I think I actually felt something on my feet. I think. Do I even have feet now?"
"Those anchors did a number on you; you okay?" said Harke, as he watched the HP count on his screen climb up to full, with the last few bits of points taking a crawlingly slow amount of time to finish.
"Yeah, I think my boots are just about smashed, though," said Eternalis, as a tiny recovery patch appeared on his jaw, finishing out the last bits of his healing. Lifting one of his boots out of the mess of slime that was his lower body, they did indeed seem to be quite damaged, but the recovery processes were diligently fixing even those up. Nothing left behind, one might say. "But these viruses seem to be a little preoccupied with staying still for the moment. Shouldn't be too hard to clear them all out now."
"I'll send you some heavy-hitters, then. Don't fire them off too fast, we wouldn't want you failing to hit some stationary targets," joked Harke, as he slotted in a trio of chips, one of which hadn't seen some use in quite a while.
"We'll see about that," said Eternalis, as the chips started arriving again. A flash of light appeared in front of him as targeting data showed the locations of each virus on a heads-up display in front of him, even helpfully providing some crosshairs, like it was some kind of first-person shooter videogame. Of course, the data would've been more helpful if the viruses were actually moving, which they appeared to be prevented from doing at the time, thanks to the Timpani chip. Activating both of the chips simultaneously, they materialized in the form of a flying yellow bee, and a dragon contained in a pot. The summoned viruses immediately locked onto the targets on the heads-up display in front of Eternalis; the bee went for the Satellite, while the PotDragon lazily followed behind it, giving off intense heat as it warped its surroundings into a very different-looking lava vein.

The unexpected level of damage left Eternalis to fall back on one of his lesser-used abilities, augmenting his own natural regeneration with some supplemental healing while he purged off the slowing sludge and got himself fighting fit again. Despite a seemingly wild-waving beam search, the Satellite in front of him managed to re-lock onto his body, but as it tried to take off, the mechanical virus rumbled, shook and vented steam all around itself, shuddering without managing to move. Before it could sort out its malfunction and boost skywards, Eternalis gave it a much bigger malfunction to worry about, frying its circuits beyond repair.
Safely under the water, the two Mariners couldn't move to make their shots, though they did try, sending bubbles curling up out of the water at an angle that sent them drifting away far over the slime-navi's head. In return, he sent them a very unexpected attack indeed. the heat dragon coursed outwards, seething over the frozen ground and diving into the river, instantly turning the frigid water into boiling lava. Pain and damage aside, the sudden temperature switch made both submarines shriek with the sounds of crumpling metal, while they bobbed helpless to the surface, rolling over and over as they melted. The metalic screeching went on for several slightly uncomfortable seconds before quieting again, to leave Eternalis the last navi standing on this particular battlefield.
On either side of the converted lava river, a hissing sound sputtered as it formed a thin, black rock barrier between the icy water and the new lava replacement. There wasn't a lot left to gather up, in terms of tangible rewards, but Eternalis would find a suitable reward of zenny, and a goodly amount of bugfrags he could give to Sparky later.

"Wow, those submarines crumpling up sounded pretty gruesome," said Harke as Eternalis looked over the lava outcropping towards the icy river, which was already starting to melt slightly from the heat. Fortunately, he had already gone across, and Sharo's extreme cold would soon simply overpower the small patch of lava. The sound of icy wind started to pick up again as he turned around to trudge through the snow once again towards the Ezarith homepage. It seemed like he hadn't quite gotten over letting Sparky trigger his emergency jackout protocol.

It wasn't long before the valley broadened out into a wide snow field. The light snow and wind had whipped itself into something approaching a blizzard by the time Eternalis emerged from the mouth of the valley. The tall hills faded away to either side behind him, but there was a sense that the area was still somewhat enclosed — like he'd be able to see the hills forming a circle, if the weather had been clearer. As it was, the snow was thick on the ground, and the gale was in his face, pelting snow and ice as he moved on.
Visibility was low, but it was enough to tell that he wasn't alone in the broader area for long. Sounds came above the gale, at first, followed by dark shapes moving mechanically through the obscuring snow towards him. A pair of large, heavy-looking mechs ploughed though the drifts of snow in unison, moving slowly but steadily.
Further back, the land seemed to fall into nothingness to the left and right — a dark patch in the blizzard, and showy shapes hovered above them. A broad land bridge remained, between the two pits, but a pair of shaggy-looking viruses seemed to guard it on either side, behind the mechs, and as one they both inhaled deeply, then blew out again, adding to the low moan of the blustering winds. Further back still, one more dark shape could be seen through the blizzard, at the far end of the land bridge, and as Eternalis approached, it rose up, coming to life. Its shape was hard to make out at this distance, but it looked mechanical as well, and hefted what might possibly be a large ball and chain as it began to move forwards. Behind it, it looked like there was a structure of some sort, but it was too distant, and the visibility too low, to make out any details.

20% Missing [Two gaps, to either side of the far causeway]
10% Ice [The land bridge between the missing]
Area is a large open circular area, mostly covered in snow. Towards the far side, the ground falls away to missing, save for a single, broad causeway that is mostly covered in ice, and which leads to a structure of some kind behind it. Occasional trees dot the area, but would require a movement to take cover behind.
