"Ugh, the wind's picking up," muttered Eternalis as he went further through the Sharo network.

"That's the Sharo network for you. Though it looks like it's turning into a real blizzard. Are you going to be okay?" said Harke, slightly worried for his Navi.

"No, I told you I don't feel cold at all. Though the wind is kind of making it hard to move around," the Navi replied, though the main road was still easily followed due to the extremely visible glowing road barriers. In addition, as the Rogue version of the network somewhat mirrored the original network's layout, Eternalis had a little recollection of what had transpired the last time he came around the area. A hefty Cragger and Raingear duo had triggered the emergency jackout for Aurora, and he'd had been left alone. Though for now, both of his Support Programs were out of commission, with both of them mostly through direct fault of his. His shoulders slumped as he slinked through the heavy snowfall, as his slimy countenance had most of the snow just slide off.

Before he could reminisce any further, however, a few dark shadows around his area appeared from behind the cover of the raging blizzard, revealing themselves to be viruses protecting a kind of structure in the distance. "I think we're here, Harke," reported Eternalis, widening his stance to prepare for his battle routines.

Surveying the area through the visual link, Harke's eyebrow furrowed. There was a large chasm between them and the structure, bridged by an iced over bridge. Around them, some shaggy-looking viruses were paired up with a couple of ElecMechs, along with a scary accompaniment of nightmarish Shadow viruses. Further in the distance, he also saw the "I don't think we employed any of those viruses as guards... I guess we can't really expect Ema to keep the perimeter clear all by herself," said Harke, as he slotted in some of his chips to deal with the threat. "Don't push your luck too much."

"Heh, if I'd had a middle name it'd be luck," said Eternalis, as he swung his arm out to form a wide fan-like structure, which ran down the side of his forearm. Eyeing the ElecMechs, he raised his arm above his head, and swept it out in a huge arc. A gust of wind blasted out from his front, throwing up an enormous amount of snow in front of him into the air. The snowy area continued to rumble afterwards as Eternalis' next attack was activated. Beneath the shaggy-looking dog viruses, the ground cracked open, blasting forth huge plumes of water to accompany the snowy show from earlier.

His eyes shone as they surveyed the land bridge area, and his gelatinous-like form began to shift its color. His left side gurgled as it received a call from his core programs to override its usual chaotic form. From within the slime, a host of green-colored metal plates began to rearrange themselves into a gauntlet, on both sides of his body. Similarly colored cylindrical ear covers swiveled out of the sides of his head as his body turned into a purplish color. His left gauntlet clicked into place to end the transformation, and blasted out an enormous glowing energy blade, vibrating intensely as it shone brilliant and emerald.

"Harke! The Katana!" said Eternalis, receiving an "OK!" from his operator as he ducked into a low crouch, and his boots began to whir noisily. Without a moment's delay, the boots ejected him into the air across the bridge, just as Harke managed to slot in the chip, immediately fueling into the blade on his left arm with virus-slaying energy. Rocketing through the air, the purple slime warrior flourished his blade in a brilliant waltz, with a sweeping cut and thrust directed to both sides of the bridge. As he reached the end of his flight path, Eternalis did a quick roll in mid-air before vanishing into a fine purple mist. Though it appeared as if he had disappeared entirely, Eternalis was quick to make his appearance again behind the enormous Titan virus, as his recovery processes resumed their work, absorbing anything that had come his way during his attacks.

Eternalis was quick to size up the field arrayed against him, but the viruses were just as fast, and though he lashed out right away with a powerful wind burst to destroy the two mechs moving towards him through the snow, it wasn't before they moth managed to fire a pair of slow-moving energy balls that tracked towards him. the first was too wide to begin with, though it continued to curl around for another pass, but the second was ore accurate, striking and sending a disruptive crackle through his system. Fortunately, the two mechs were annihilated by the sudden wind storm before they could capitalise on his condition.

Without taking pause, the aqua navi continued by sending a blast of rising water to deal with the next line of sentries. His luck here was less complete, and while one of them was scoured into junk, the other received only a light showering of water, and shook it off, unaffected. While he was occupied with this, the dim, indistinct figure at the far end of the bridge moved, swinging something about its head, before a large, heavy-looking hammer chain came flying down the length of the ice causeway towards him. There was no time to avoid the hefty impact as the projectile crashed into his fluid body.

Eternalis, in light of this aggression, was already beginning to pull out the bigger guns... or in this case, bigger swords. Memories of purple fuelled his actions and as the remaining LowBlow began to inhale, drawing eternalise closer to the bridge, and the pits on either side, he obliged by rocketing forward of his own accord, using the wind as a further aid to launch himself at the Nightmares over the pits like a lethal projectile. In that moment, the nearer BlackMare warped forward to intercept the flying navi, while the far one teleported over to try and flank him at the same time. there came a flash of blades, multiple slices cutting through the frozen air, and as Eternalis emerged on the far side of the two, all three combatants swiftly disappeared. Fortunately for Eternalis, his disappearing act was the teleport that rescued him from an abrupt end to the battle — the two BlackMares were not so fortunate, having been efficiently dispatched by his blade, and he without a scratch from either of them.

As he appeared behind the previously distant figure, Eternalis would get his first up-close look at the virus. It was massive, and mechanical, and plated in what looked like some distinctly hardened metal covering; supported by a single central column that rested on the socketed metal ball which served as its means of movement, the virus bore large, heavy metal arms, which it was in the process of raising high above its head. It had pivoted as Eternalis teleported, tracking with him, and a sudden buffet of small tornado winds from around the sides of the massive construct jostled Eternalis as he got his bearings; none of them hit him squarely enough to cause harm, but they were enough of a distraction to prevent him getting out of the way as the Titan slammed both its fists down on his head with crushing force, and planting the aqua navi thoroughly deep into the snow with a pronounced splat.

Being splattered onto the snow with a hefty blow that looked like it could move mountains, it seemed rather grim for Eternalis. Or, at least, it would have been, if he hadn't had his bodily composition. Instead, the Navi simply resurged into his usual form. He adjusted his head with a squish and a splat as he stared up at the towering figure above him. The Titan that stood over him was certainly oddly built to be supported by something that looked as unstable as a socketed ball.

"It's... a bit snug!" Eternalis laughed as he twisted his neck slightly, and attempted to dig himself out from the impromptu burial.

"Ugh, don't do that," Harke winced slightly. Even though it was common to see Eternalis twisting his body in weird directions, it was still difficult to adjust to. Rubbing his own neck, he swept through his folder with his free hand as he observed the battle, and sent in a few battlechips to aid his Navi. The Soul Cross was something he had never really understood quite completely; Eternalis himself didn't seem to say anything in particular about how the process was activated. The operator wondered how Camillia and her Navi were doing; maybe he could shoot them an e-mail to do something again.

"Sorry, sorry," said Eternalis, as the chips started activating in his queue. A quiet whir started up beneath the snow, before Eternalis erupted forth from the bank with a brilliant eruption of emerald light. Twisting about his slime body as he rocketed upwards towards the enormous Titan. The energy generator on his arm hummed briefly, and the green saber blasted forth from its end. He brandished the gleaming blade with flair as he executed a spinning cut on the Titan. Then, using the momentum from the spin, he tilted his body at an angle, which began to vibrate with energy once again. The sword struck a diagonal slash before he exploded with energy across the gap, towards the remaining virus on the field: the shaggy pile of fur across the bridge.

The energy sword grew twice in size as he aimed to charge the SnowBlow virus with a corkscrew dive. As he attacked, the sword appeared to duplicate itself with an afterimage as he struck with another sweeping diagonal cut, before crashing into the snow behind his target, yet again blasting up an enormous amount of powdery snow into the air. Though it wasn't without penalty; it appeared that invoking the Soul Cross had yet disabled his aquatic affinity, and the snow felt bitingly cold to his slimy countenance. His body served to attempt to resolve that as it charged up its restorative processes, warding away the cold, albeit temporarily.

While it took Eternalis a moment or two to get himself out oft he snow, the Titan reared back for another smash. fortunately for the gooey wonder, he managed to burst up clear of the snow at just the right moment to avoid the heavy iron fist that slammed down past him dangerously close for comfort. His initial strike struck squarely, making the oversized virus tilt backwards on its support, and though one of his follow ups word strikes clanged ineffectively off an iron limb without making a mark, the other scored across the titan's armour plating. The problem was, despite two clean hits, the hardened metal armour seemed quite resistant to his assaults.

Either way, the Lowblow, across the bridge, had begun inhaling again, and as Eternalise was drawn with it, he obliged with a hyper-fast dash across the intervening space. the titan rotted swiftly, attempting to take another swing at Eternalis and send him flying, but the two missed each other as a result. The LowBlow, immobile as it was, was less fortunate. It was hit by the dashing navi, and then cut cleanly from existence before it could exhale another flurry of whirlwinds. This left only the large Titan, which had chased after Eternalis part way along the bridge, heavy iron ball rolling across the ice. With a sword stroke left, Eternalis was able to meet it part way, striking hard before it could hit him; Still its hardened armour seemed to stop a huge amount of the blow, but there was no doubt that he'd managed to do severe damage to the construct all the same. Also, at some point, the stunning shot from before had passed by on its return run, but between all the zipping about it hadn't even managed to come close to the mobile navi, and it now fizzled away.

"Wow, it's kind of hardy, isn't it? I don't think I've seen a virus like that before, maybe it's some kind of custom-built one," said Harke. Even with the repeated blows, the Titan was still standing its ground, being a veritable iron wall. Seems its design wasn't just for show. "Eternalis, you all right?"

"Yeah, it's just one virus left. This ice is a little slippery in this form though," said Eternalis, as his stance widened a little to mitigate the ice's slip-sliding effects. With his position so precariously placed on the land bridge, he was more comfortable with just standing his ground and letting the Titan come to him, not wanting to fall into the chasm that divided the two banks of snow.

"Let me help you out with that, then," Harke nodded in the affirmative, and slotted in his PanelGrab chip. The chip infused Eternalis with vigor as a red glow began to suffuse through his body. He felt as if a fire was being lit inside of his core, and grinned with fervor. The red glow leaked into his energy sword generator, and washed over its green color with a burning red, while Eternalis himself stared down the Titan, which was also on the bridge.

"Come on."

He thrust out his hand, and beckoned the enormous virus with a challenging gesture. Whether or not the Titan came, he would be ready to take it down, bellowing out with a war cry as he took a small step forward and struck down hard with his red sword. The energy blade crackled with power; it unleashed a short-ranged energy wave, and drained itself of all of its red color in one slash. It was then followed up with a solid horizontal strike, and a powerful stab.

As Eternalis!Rhea prepared for the Battle on the Bridge, his sword generator thrumming, the Titan cracked its rocky knuckles threateningly. Both let out a mighty roar as the Titan charged and Eternalis glowed red. The Titan swung his mighty fist down at Eternalis, as Eternalis thrust his mighty sword into the ice bridge. The Titan's fist smashed into Eternalis and the ice cracked below him, breaking up the red energy wave and sending it skittering off in multiple directions. Eternalis' body flattens to the ground from the blow, but he swings upward and chops the offending Titan's arm clean off. The Titan bellows as it clutches the stump and stumbles backward and to the side, screeching out as it falls off the bridge into the abyss below.

And then Eternalis!Rhea heals all the wounds he just suffered as if nothing happened.

His opponent hurtling into the abyss, Eternalis glared down at it, before his energy generator started to flicker, and his body began to revert back to its original blue color. He also felt some of his vitality leaving him, though that was kind of expected. "Rhea..." he muttered, as he turned down at his left side, which had disintegrated back to its original lumpy mess, barely even recognizable as a limb. He'd had some good memories of fighting alongside the mechanical girl. There might be time to catch up later after the errand, he thought, as he turned back to progress across the land bridge.

"Wait, hold on, Eternalis, could you focus a bit more on that structure?" said Harke, to which Eternalis turned his attention towards the structure in the distance. At that instance, Harke planted his forehead into his palm and sighed exasperatedly. "Gah, we took a wrong turn somewhere. I thought the entry passage looked kind of strange. We're at the entrance to sector A of the research area; it should've been sector B. Backtrack a bit, Eternalis, I think we got down a branch road somehow," he said.

"That's kind of a bother. Is it far?" said Eternalis, as he backtracked through the path where he had been earlier.

"It shouldn't be... Ah, over there, to your right," said Harke. True enough, Eternalis turned to his right, and there was the main road, continuing on into the snowy distance into a carved out area of the valley he had been earlier. The exit mouth of the valley had led him to believe that he was still walking on it. Correcting the path was thus a matter of going down the road once again.

Such was the nature of taking a wrong turn in Sharo; the blinding snow and inhospitable winds didn't feel like making life any easier on Eternalis as he back-tracked to find the path he was actually looking for. On one hand, he'd cleared out most of the passive viral presence on the road he'd crossed down already, at least for a little while. On the other, that stopped the moment he got back on track since, clearly no-one had been this way in some time.

It wasn't long before he was able to pick out movement ahead. It seemed like a small sheet of ice had formed over a circular pool; it might have been called a pond, if it ever unfroze properly, but given the regular weather, chances were it never did. A pair of Karma viruses skittered back and forth on the ice sheet, bouncing pucks back and forth to each other, but seemingly uncaring of the many times the projectiles skittered away into the snow violently. Whenever they lost one, one of the viruses would simply produce another. They didn't seem to have noticed Eternalis just yet, but something else had; high on the walls of the rocky rises to either side, a pair of sentries shuddered and clanked open, aiming their muzzles down at the navi. They each fired a round that thudded into the snow ahead of him by a few feet, almost like warning shots.

"Alright, this seems to be the right area now, at least," said Harke, as Eternalis passed through the "side path", which was actually the main path. Breathing a sigh of relief, he started to observe a little more closely, lest the Navigator navigated his way through some other area while he wasn't looking. "Oh, right, Eternalis, I was thinking; do you want to get together with Camillia and Rhea sometime soon? It'd be nice to see them again, it's been a little while since we've last heard."

Eternalis cocked his head upwards. "Oh, that's a good idea, I was thinking the same thing. Did you have anything in mind?"

"Hmm... Not really, besides just asking them out for coffee or something. Judging from the NetPolice recruitment mission I don't think we'd want anything to do with coffee right now, though."

"Why don't we just ask for a patrol mission? Rhea's in Public Safety, isn't she?" said Eternalis, tilting his head to the side. "Ah, hold on, I think I found a few more viruses." Scoping out the pond in front of him, he saw the two Dharma viruses having a good game of hockey. Except it seemed like they had little regard for the pucks that they launched, which went off in whatever direction they whacked them at. Then, a couple of sentry heads made their presence known from atop the cliffs on either side of the pathway by launching a couple of cannonballs towards him. Luckily, the attack missed by a few feet, though whether it was intentional couldn't quite be seen. Looking around, it didn't seem like he could sneak past too easily.

"Hmm... Harke, I should be able to take out the ColdHeads with a DollThunder. Not sure about those hockey viruses, though."

"We should try to take them out in one shot. This should do nicely for them," said Harke, as he slotted in a set of five chips. With his ordnance locked in, Eternalis dug his heels into the snow, focusing intently on all four of his targets. Their movements became clear to him as his body morphed into appropriate materials for his attack. He thrust his right hand into his messy left flank, pulling out a chunk of slime from the pile. Inside the slime chunk, a strange eye looked about in a daze, almost as if he had plucked out an eyeball from somewhere. He then threw it into the air, turning around in a quick spin as he changed his arm into a large racket to strike the falling piece of slime.

The little slime eye suddenly became more alert, noisily letting out a hiss of steam from its exterior as it sailed towards the Karma viruses. Had anyone realized his attack, however, they would've only stared into thin air. Eternalis had disappeared into his incorporeal form, though he was quick to reappear behind one of the sentry viruses. He then drew back his hand, which quickly became charged with energy, before letting it out in a crackle of lightning. Though it only lasted for less than a second, the effects of the lightning was strong enough that it lingered for a moment into a ball, drifting about as it searched for anything else it could devastate; Eternalis himself watched closely for stray enemies as well, taking a quick breather to recover.

Eternalis didn't have time for this riff-raff, and put his musings on companionship aside just for long enough to deal with them. As he focused first on creating a creepy surprise for the tow hockey-players, the pair of Karma skittered across the ice and looked back his way. they both launched a bouncing, erratic puck directly towards the aqua navi, even as he launched his unsettling package back towards them, but amidst all the ricochets only one of the pucks managed to strike him once.

Watching above, the two sentry turrets had seen the danger in his surprise eyeball package and slammed their shells shut in response, but by the time the two Karma realised just what had landed in between them, it was too late. They slid away across the ice as quickly as they could, but it wasn't fast enough. The resulting detonation rocked the area, but left no trace of either virus behind.

Up above, on the cliff walls, the two ColdHeads cranked open again, but it was only in time to face a greater danger; the far one tried to take a shot at Eternalis without hitting its ally, and missed terribly, while the one he had teleported behind couldn't get an angle to attack at all, before he released the bolt of lightning that lanced through both of them at once. Eternalis did have another chip ready to use if anything was left, but at that point he no longer needed it; the battle was over more or less before it had had a chance to begin.

In the collection of his rewards, he would find a disregarded puck in one of the snow banks by the frozen pond, collapsed down into useful chip data, and in other news, Sparky would likely have had enough recovery time by now.

Sparky has now been out for three battles and may be resummoned at full HP.

Satisfied with the map wipe that he had just executed, Eternalis leapt down from the cliff onto the snow below, where he landed on a bank with a muffled thud. "Seems we're a lot stronger now, aren't we?" said Harke, surveying the reward packets that had been sent up. Along with the zenny, he'd noticed some "bug fragments" being sent along as well, which had escaped him before. It seemed like they were being sent up when there were no Support Programs present, so it was likely that they had carried them somehow.

"It's a lot easier to wipe them when I'm electrocuting them left and right, that's for sure," said Eternalis, as he bent down to pick up a large hockey puck that the Karma viruses had left behind. The puck disappeared from his hand soon after he grasped it, having been sent up as BattleChip data, and the Navi began to move on through the path.

The blank chip jutted out of Harke's PET, and the operator looked it over. Satisfied with the acquisition, he inserted it into his folder, and checked on some other things. One thing stuck out as particularly notable. "Oh, Sparky's back online at full strength. Do you want me to send him back?"

Suddenly, Eternalis halted in his tracks. From the movement of his eyes, he looked rather hesitant for a bit, before shaking his head. "... No, I thought we'd let him rest for now. It's too tiring to follow me around in this scary place, anyway," he said, half-heartedly grinning through the visual link, before continuing on his way.

[Rogue Battle 2 - Ready!]
[Eternalis.EXE: 360 HP.]
With his rewards claimed and the small pond cleared, Eternalis opted to let sparky continue resting and pushed onwards on his own for now. the wind began to climb again, and the soft fall of snow grew steadily heavier. It wasn't quite a full on blizzard yet, but it was getting close to it. Certainly it was bad enough now that visibility was starting to suffer and no-one in their right mind would really be out and about at a time like this.

The ground grew uneven again, with small rises and dips, hidden amongst the softer snowdrifts in dangerous and treacherous was, just perfect for stumbling or twisting one's ankle... It was fortunate that Eternalis didn't have too much to worry about in that respect. What he did have to worry about, however, were the way two mechanical vents popped up a distance ahead, at the edge of his visibility. they looked like fan turrets, and no sooner had they risen from the snow than they began to blow fiercely against him, adding their own forceful gusts to the already inclement wind conditions. It swiftly became a struggle to even walk forward against the gale.

Two beads of light emerged through the snow, passing between the two wind turrets; two sparkling balls of energy, the details of which were hard to make out through the snow, other than that they were racing right towards him. Behind them, as they came one, another large figure, loomed up between the two wind blowers and stopped. At this distance it looked similar in a lot of ways to the titan he had just fought, but it wasn't the same. More than that was hard to see from this distance, though.

Attack Description: Causes a large scale gale of wind to blow across the entire field in the direction the virus is facing. This gale will constantly move all targets this virus considers to be enemies in the direction the wind is blowing, which makes it difficult to land many kinds of attacks on it and allied viruses, such as thrown attacks and close ranged attacks. All those affected by the wind will also have their barriers and auras blown off by a constant Northwind effect.

Both sides of the engagement suffer a 30% accuracy penalty with direct attacks perpendicular to the direction of the wind, and all thrown attacks.
Special: Those allied with this virus may opt to take advantage of the wind to increase movement speed or evasion by going with the wind. They do not suffer any penalties, however. Conversely, anyone may move along with the wind to increase accuracy by 10% for close ranged attacks, assuming the target is in that direction.

VishiegeVishiege (Ashuraid)

The Ashuraid are a new strain of 6 foot tall semi-humanoid viruses with bodies made of durable metal alloys. Ashuraid viruses lack legs, and instead roll around on a 1 ton solid steel ball 1-foot in diameter that rests in a cupola. Rising from the top of the cupola is an alloy pillar that supports their smooth and curving metal bodies. The key defining feature of Ashuraid viruses are their half dozen free-floating arm segments constructed of an indestructible alloy. Three of these arms feature metallic rights hands, and the other three feature metallic left hands, thus they are differentiated. In combat, the virus will ball these hands up into fists, and launch volleys of rocket punches at their foes. The virus' helmeted head rests upon a short metallic rod-like neck with their faces hidden behind a metallic faceplate. The exception being their mouths, which are generally curved downwards in a permanent frown while in the presence of Navigators. It is speculated that Ashuraid are a hacked derivative of the Bladia viruses spliced together with fragments of other viruses and a healthy dose of battlechip program data. This would account for their size, strength, and malicious nature. Where and how this was possibly accomplished is unknown. Ashuraid viruses move and dodge at better than average speeds, although they rarely choose to dodge at all. Ashuraid viruses are ranged attackers, and prefer to hold the range open against their enemies as melee range attacks with their Impacting abilities generally render Counters useless. Ashuraids attack by launching their six free-floating indestructible alloy arms at one or more enemies in volleys of 3 rocket punches. It takes 3 arms to execute a MeteorKnucke attack, 3 to execute a Counter attack, and all 6 to execute their GiantHook attack. It takes roughly an action of cooldowm time after executing a long distance attack for the arms used in the attack to return to the Ashuraid's side. During this time, they may not execute a Counter Attack if they do not have enough arms available. Ergo if all 6 arms are either being used in an attack, or in cool-down following an attack or counter attack, the Ashuraid cannot use a Counter. The rest of their attacks do not require their arms to return to their side. The return feature is automatic, and does not require actions to perform. Ashuraid can move while attacking or defending, and are allowed to counter while dodging if enough arms are available. Setting a counter requires an action while executing one does not. Ashuraid are extremely heavy viruses that will sink like the lead weights they are in liquid, and they know it. They will avoid liquid terrain entirely, if possible, and will never appear near these types of naturally occurring terrain for this reason. Only an Ashuraid's body is damageable. Striking an Ashuraid's floating arms will not damage the virus or the arms themselves, no matter what you hit them with. The Ashuraids will not intentionally defend themselves with their arms outside of their Counter ability, which is nullified by Impact. Do not abuse this.

"You know, this seems a little unnaturally windy," said Harke, as Eternalis trudged through the snowy lands of Sharo's network.

"I couldn't tell!" yelled Eternalis in reply through the howling wind, which slowly climbed up in terms of intensity. Certainly, there had been blizzard-like weather before, but not to this extent. Shortly, though, he found the source of the unnatural winds to be a couple of mechanical viruses in the distance. However, at this point, the wind was far too blustery to say anything through the voice. [Harke, there's a few viruses here. Do you see them in your readings?] the Navi reported through text link.

Harke squinted slightly through the video link as the message came through. It seemed like there were a total of five targets in the snow, though what exactly they were, Harke himself wasn't quite sure. There seemed to be a large figure in the back, however, which somewhat reminded Harke of the Titan they fought earlier. A plan began to emerge in his mind. [Yeah, I see them. I can handle the operation. Flank those fans and I'll send you your chips,] he replied.

[Thanks, I'm counting on you!] The Navi sent over the text window. Upon seeing the message, Harke replied with a single [OK], as the slimy fighter spun about his center, and disappeared into the snowy background.

The video link locked on to his new position, which was directly behind the wind-generating fan viruses, where the wind was still rather strong, but not quite as oppressive. Eternalis appeared in mid-air in the middle of his spinning motion, locking in the first couple of his attacks into his bodily systems. The AirHockey chip, from the earlier Karma viruses, manifested as a large cylindrical chunk of slime on his lower body, which seemed to coalesce at the end of the boot inside the pile of slime that was his lower body. He then transferred his rotational energy into a powerful kick, sending the slime puck rocketing towards the back of the Vishiege virus.

Not all of his momentum was lost, however, as he landed onto the snow. Continuing his attack, the all-too-familiar WindRacket came into existence on his left side, as an enormous fan-like structure. He swung it powerfully, tossing up a huge amount of snow in the process, pretty much obscuring the entire general area with a sizable drift of snow. The snowdrift's cover didn't last for too long, as Eternalis then cut through it with an unnaturally powerful dash. The movement was assisted by BattleChip, of course, leaving a sonic wave crackling behind him as he caught up with the remaining two leftover Sparky-variant viruses.

The bracer on Eternalis' right arm then began to shift into a more tapered version, clanking into place as it reconfigured itself into the hilt of a blade. His hand changed into a long, thin blade through the transformed bracer. Focusing on one of the spinning balls of energy at a time, he struck twice at each with the Katana cleanly. Each strike sent out a crisp sound as it cut through the air, almost as if the wind had made the air thick enough to slice. After four consecutive strikes, the blade melted back into the form of his hand, and he stood at the ready, stance ready to receive any of the viruses' attacks with his resilient body.

Eternalis took a moment to size up his targets, peering throug the blustery gale, but it proved to be a moment too long. Out of the blizzard, a trio of fists came rocketing towards him, far faster than anyone might suspect, and the first managed to thud into his squishy body before his vapour re-assimilation took him away from the other two.

Behind the windboxes, the gale was less forceful, but they began to turn to meet him, blowing up more snow as they rotated. Up close, he could see that the central virus was indeed much like the one he'd fought previously, but there were small differences; this one had no ball and chain, for starters, and seemed to be quite determined to attack with its bevy of six floating arms instead. It also began to back off slightly on its ball as Eternalis appeared near it. On the offence, the aqua navi attacked with his newest chip, and the breaking force of the puck crashed through the hardened out casing of armour, tearing it open. the puck continued to bounce on, managing to hit one of the windboxes as well, though the sparky it massed at next curled out of the way, and the puck wend wide as it bounced back at the same windbox it had attacked before, and missed the other sparky completely, before dissipating into the snow.

The two sparkies had been making a bee-line for Eternalis, but after his teleport they had to stop and change direction, careening back towards him again, though the redirection stopped them from getting close enough to attack him right away. This gave him enough time to take care of the fans with his windracket, blowing enough snow back into both of their systems to cause the two viruses to overload and break down. The Vishieg, however, had raised three of its arms across its body, and held its ground without budging against the blast. No sooner had the wind died down, than a pair of retaliating fists swung forward and belted Eternalis squarely for his troubles.

The gelid wonder dashed clear, but as he made a pass on the nearest sparkler, it not only dodged around the forcewave of his motion, but crowned him in the back of the head as he passed. The coursing jolt was more than a little severe. A strong enough blow as it was, the current electrocuted Eternalis' form with a brutal thoroughness, amplifying itself through the ice beneath them until the scent of burning slime filled the air.

Well cooked but still kicking, Eternalis turned on his assailant with some retribution of his own, and amidst a flurry of quick slashes managed to destroy both of the electrical viruses before they could do him any more harm. His regeneration recovered at least a portion of the excessive damage, but it would take a short while before it could patch all of it back up.

All viruses in this family are immobile during combat, with the exception of being able to turn to face any direction it wishes. Later versions of this virus may switch between Wind and Fan effects, which requires one action, during which time all wind or fan effects cease. Bonuses and penalties do not stack if multiples of the same virus family exist on the field. Wind and Fan do not push or pull Objects, only creatures.

Area: SciLab, Yoka, Beach, Sharo, Netfrica, Hades Isle

HP: 200
Attack Damage/Effect: Wind Effect, Northwind
Attack Accuracy: S
Attack Description: Causes a large scale gale of wind to blow across the entire field in the direction the virus is facing. This gale will constantly move all targets this virus considers to be enemies in the direction the wind is blowing, which makes it difficult to land many kinds of attacks on it and allied viruses, such as thrown attacks and close ranged attacks. All those affected by the wind will also have their barriers and auras blown off by a constant Northwind effect.
Element: None
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): Wind, Zenny
Special: Causes short ranged attacks, such as (but not limited to) swords, melee attacks, and flame thrower style weapons, to suffer from a 30% accuracy penalty against targets they are being pushed away from.
Special: Northwind effect to all enemies once per virus action while maintaining wind effect.

"Ooooh, that kind of stung," said Eternalis, as his body began to recover from the Sparklers' attacks. It wasn't something he couldn't come back from, but he'd have to watch out for the next few attacks.

Despite Eternalis taking on a couple of high-energy attacks, the fight was going pretty well. Watching the fight play out, Harke turned in his seat for a few moments, before he noticed the sound of a door creak open slightly. Turning towards the front hallway, he saw a rather suspicious-looking Reverus attempt to sneak out the door. "Oh, when'd you wake up, Dad?" he said, causing his father to jump slightly in his sandals.

"O-Oh, um, just now. Gonna head downstairs for a bit, don't mind me," said Reverus, as he hastily shut the door behind him with a slam, causing Harke to wince. The young operator scratched his head in puzzlement. What was that all about? Shrugging it off, he turned back to his operation, before his nose perked up slightly.

"Sniff... Wait... What's that smell? Is something cooking?" he muttered. It took him a few seconds to process that what he was smelling wasn't exactly the smell of something very pleasant; rather, it smelled more of acrid burning smoke. He sprung out of the couch, stumbling on his own feet and catching part of his shin on the edge of a table. For some reason, the pain didn't quite register to him as he scrambled off of the floor into the kitchen, finding that his father had left him a bit of a blaze on the stove. "What the hell?! Oh my god, where's the fire extinguisher?!" his voice echoed out from the kitchen.

"Wait, Harke?! What's wrong?!" said Eternalis, but his operator was already gone. He looked up at the towering Vishiege virus, its enormous cast iron arms lifted in response to his attacks. For some reason, he elected to stare blankly at the virus, before blurting out a few words. "Uh, nice weather we're having here."

Caught in a moment of unexpected silence from his operator, Eternalis was left looking up at the large virus in front of him. It didn't, in all honesty, seem particularly impressed by his conversation. When Eternalis finished speaking, it raised three of its fists high, then hammered them down against his squishy body one after the other, pummelling him. After this it swiftly began to roll backwards, opening up more space between them as it retreated through the blizzard, several of its floating arms still in reserve. Well. That went well.

"Okay, okay, I think the extinguisher was in here somewhere. How do you even manage to burn soup?!" a panicked voice said in the background, as Eternalis received a triple smack special from the enormous metal virus. The Navi then watched as it cautiously rolled away from him, while his recovery processes went to work about repairing the damage dealt to him. "Wow, you're actually kind of a scaredy cat, aren't you?" chuckled Eternalis, as he began to approach the virus slowly. His operator wasn't exactly going to be around for a little bit, so he might as well have some fun while he was gone, since he wasn't in any particular danger.

"Hey, come on, don't be scared. It's just your friendly neighborhood slime monster, is all," said Eternalis as he grinned, and spread out his arms... arm, since his left flank wasn't exactly in the business of being called an arm at the moment. As the words left his mouth, the few bits of armor still attached to his body fell onto the ice with a splat and a clatter, and his body began to rapidly change. His blue countenance changed into a deep purple, and spikes and tendrils began to spill uncontrollably from various parts of his body. The smile that his face bore widened further out to the sides into a menacing expression, while a purple tongue crawled out of its depths. His stance began to hunch over as he gurgled a few incoherent phrases.

"All right, phew, got that settled... Oh, right, Eternalis!" said Harke, as he ran out of the kitchen. As soon as Eternalis heard his operator's voice again, his transformation halted very suddenly, and his form immediately reverted back to normal. "Oh, huh, you don't look too bad," the operator commented, seeing his Navi's face looking rather bored.

"You're back now, what happened?"

Harke sighed. "Kitchen caught on fire. Managed to put it out, but I don't think Dad's gonna be having any morning snacks."

"That's good. He probably needs to cut a few centimeters off his belt," laughed Eternalis, as he turned back to his adversary, gauging more of its reaction.

With Eternalis still messing about and otherwise taunting the remaining virus, the Vishiege lowered its guard as it continued to roll backwards slowly, and beg an to send a steady stream of punching arms at the approaching navi. It attacked with one set of three fists, then the other, the blows coming at an even pace and giving each side the time to recover in between — it could probably do this all day if it was so inclined. The fists pelted Eternalis with an uncomfortable level of accuracy, and over the next several seconds he was socked by five of the six that came in his direction. Fortunately, despite this, his own regeneration was comfortably outpacing the damage that the single remaining virus was able to deal.

10% Missing [Gap in the ground, on the right, mid field]

Heavy Snow: Visibility is poor in this downfall, and all targets suffer a minor penalty to accuracy. Targets more than a movement away suffer a greater penalty.
"Isn't that uncomfortable?" said Harke, as the Vishiege's fists continued to fly rapidly towards his Navi, and his Navi seemingly unaffected by the entire thing. It was kind of unsettling, but at least now he'd gotten mostly used to it. Chips to be sent to his Navi were being selected at his leisure, though they were undoubtedly still quite powerful, and would take care of the problem pretty handily. Hopefully he'd get some extra chips out of the excursion as well; Rogue networks were known to dispense much stronger chips to correspond with their stronger viruses.

"I don't know, I guess it feels like being punched by six fists at once, but like, from a masseuse or something. Have you ever been punched by a masseuse?" said Eternalis.

"Can't say I have, but--" replied Harke, being interrupted by a short ping and a small text window in his peripheral. The operator's eyes narrowed for a bit as he read its contents, and he went deep into thought. "-- Hm."

"Something the matter? Did your kitchen catch on fire again?"

"No, nothing like that, someone just messaged me. Try to deal with that Gigas so we can get that data," said Harke, as he pulled up his PET's keyboard and began to respond to the message that he had just received. Eternalis simply curtly grunted, and began to put the chips to work. Through the snowy winds, his immediate view began clearing up as it filled with targeting data, and the flurry of fists seemed to slow down to a crawl. In reality, his processes were simply being accelerated, as he then vanished into the air. The punch-happy virus would then receive an unwelcome surprise with Eternalis appearing directly behind it.

In the middle of his descent, Eternalis reared his head back, and spat out a chunk of his slime from his core. The chunk of slime rapidly began to fill itself with light as it made its way towards the Vishiege, where it would potentially smash through its metal exterior into its core and delete it. Of course, he still did have a contingency plan, as he landed onto the snowy landscape. The landing caused a heap of snow to be launched up in a drift, and at the same time, his next attack started. The ground beneath the Vishiege started to rumble loudly as the snow split up, and a powerful geyser freed itself, undoubtedly providing a powerful source of pressure to any unlucky virus that would still be placed on top of the generated fissure.

While the blizzard continued to rage, Eternalis then stood back up, the dents produced by the virus's earlier pummeling already beginning to flatten back out.

After taking some time to enjoy the effects of an unintentionally soothing massage from the relentless fist barrage of the virus facing him, Eternalis finally got down to business and decided to remove it from the net. His quick teleport shuffle eluded the next bevy of assailing arms, and the sudden reappearance behind very nearly caught the virus completely off guard. Despite the surprise attack, however, it twisted and rolled slightly aside, raising three arms across its body. The aqua navi's first strike hit true, but deflected off the arms, though perhaps the Vishiege wasn't quite as prepared as it seemed; both strikes of its retaliating counter-blow went wide and thudded into the snow either side of the blue goo. Left in that moment of defencelessness, it was caught out by the navi's second attack, and was hammered soundly by the eruption that burst up beneath it.

Left alone at last, Eternalis was finally free to claim his rewards for the battle-turned-massage treatment, while his natural regenerative processes continued to work away on his body. Despite a thorough search, though, he didn't manage to turn up anything beyond convertible zenny. A bit disappointing really. Oh well.

RareWindBoxRareWindBox (Wind & Fan)

Special: Northwind effect to all enemies once per virus action while maintaining wind effect.

Primary Attack Damage/Effect: 15 Null + Impact + Break x 3 Fists
Primary Attack Accuracy: B
Primary Attack Description: Launches three rocket fists at distant opponents. Each fist may target individually, meaning multi-hit and/or multi-target both work up to a max of 3 punches.
Secondary Attack Damage/Effect: Counter vs Damage: 15 Null + Impact + Break x 2 Hits
Secondary Attack Accuracy: S (Block) / B (Counter)
Secondary Attack Description: Uses a trio of fists to block a non-Impact attack while executing a double punch counterstrike. Only two Counters may be active at any given time, and the virus must be physically able to execute a counter in order to use one. Counters work at any range. An action is required to set this effect, but no actions are required to execute the Counter when triggered, as it is automatic. Impact attacks nullify this Counter ability.
