Inside the shop

Laelah parked her car on a roadside parking spot nearby, then entered the shop, both PETs in her pockets. On the way over, she and RiderMan discussed what sort of upgrades she should buy for the Navi, and luckily came to an agreement that was within Chuck's budget. She approached the counter and pulled RiderMan's PET from her scrubs, as well the PET for her own Navi, Digi.
"Hello, I'd like to make a few purchases. I'd like to get a HP Memory, 2 process upgrades, and First Armor for my friend's Navi, and a couple NCP upgrades for my own." She popped a small charge card from RiderMan's PET and handed it over to Suitachi to charge the applicable amount of Zenny to Chuck's account. She did the same for her own PET, so she would pay for her own upgrade.

HP Mem #1: 1000z
Process upgrade #1 & 2: 300z
First Armor: 2500z
Total: 3700z
Suitachi peered over the rims of his glasses at Laelah, nevermind that he was blind as a bat without them. He looked between the two PETs, and got an extremely suspicious air about him. Muttering something about sock puppets, he rung through the two purchases with the air of one forced into a distasteful situation. When the deed was done, he straightened up and handed both PETs back, giving his customary words of, "Thanks for stopping by, have a good day...multi-accounter."

...Okay, so maybe they weren't such customary words, at least not the last bit.

Laelah GET: HP Memory v1, Process Upgrades v1-2, FirstArmour
Laelah LOSE: 3700z
Laelah received the purchased upgrades, and noticed Suitachi seemed to be reacting to her actions, muttered something about "sock puppets." She put everything back in her pockets with a polite smile. "Thanks, you too... monopolizer," she quipped before turning and exiting the shop.

Outside she got back in her car and made her way to the hospital, stopping only to grab a sandwich from a deli on the way.

Destin Obscura walked into the store and up to the counter. "Hello. I wish to purchase a few upgrades for my Navi. Money is tight right now, so I can only afford a Process Upgrade v16, and the Element Shot and Disarm Shot Buster Upgrades. Here is the money," he said as he put the Zenny on the counter top.

Want
Process Upgrade v16: 1600z
Element Shot: 500z
Disarm Shot: 1500z

Total: 3600z
Suitachi sneered at the young woman who exited just prior to Destin's entrance, then quickly reverted back to his standard, somewhat bored expression. He listened to Destin's request, and began retrieving the ugprades. "Nothing a few busting runs can't fix, I'm sure," he commented as he put the upgrades on the counter. "That'll be 3600, please." Destin already had the zenny on the counter, so the transaction was efficiently quick. "Thank you and have a good day."

Destin LOSE: 3600z
Destin GET: PUv16, Element Shot x1, Disarm Shot x1
Destin picked up the materials from the counter. "Thank you Mr. Suitachi, have a pleasant day." And with that, he walked out of the shop.
Leslie suddenly found herself standing in front of the shop counter, staring blankly at the shop list. If Suitachi was there and looked at her, he could almost see in her eyes her attempts to do math in her head. It actually wasn't so much a matter of money, so much as trying to remember how many Process Upgrades she'd grabbed already. Hmm, assuming Martia's sigs were all maxed on points...and she remembered having some extra points...augh, math wasn't her strong suit. "Argh, damn it! ...Eh?" Feeling something on her head, she reached over and grabbed it. Looked like she put her pencil there without even realizing it. Flipping the shop inventory list to a blank page, she quickly did her math, eventually coming up with the figure she wanted.

"Aha! All right then, I'll take a second speed upgrade, and an eighth process upgrade!" She double checked her paper scrap, to make sure she had sufficient funds for that. She did. Phew. She handed over her zenny card, and waited for her stuff.

[Order of Purchase:

1-Speed Upgrade #2 - 10000z
2-Process Upgrade #8 - 800z
Total - 10800z

Previous Total: 10920z
New Total: 120z]
Suitachi did indeed watch Leslie stand awkwardly at the counter, mentally crunching numbers with the efficiency of a paper shredder. He tapped his finger on the counter quietly, waiting for her to finally make her purchase request. With a quick series of scribbles later, she stated what she wanted. "Certainly," Suitachi replied and retrieved the requested upgrades. "That'll be 10800z." He took her card, swiped it through to deduct the zenny, and returned it with her upgrades in a small bag. "Thank you, have a good day."

Leslie GET: Speed Upgrade2, PU v8
Leslie LOSE: 10800z
Leslie added to the bag's contents by tossing her card and pencil in there, and grabbed it. "Much appreciated! And uh, sorry for messing up your little inventory thing. But hey, you can afford to make a new one now. Bye now!"

And so the paper vandal left.

(BACK TO THE YOKA)
((From ACDC Town))

Mazer stepped off the bus and made the relatively short walk to Suitachi's Navi store. It felt like he hadn't visited in ages, but from the looks of the place, not much had changed. While on the bus, he had compiled a list of items to buy, though this time he had a significant internal debate on what he should ultimately purchase. He could get Mach a significant amount of HP, or forgo the HP in favor of 2 additional folder chips and more signature points. Considering the fact he had to put some rather useful (and rare) chips into his spare folder, the added arsenal could help his Navi out significantly. He walked up to the counter and produced a zenny chip as he requested his order. "Hello, I'd like 5 NaviCust Upgrades and 7 Process Upgrades please."

NC9(14)4250 NC10(15)4500 NC11(16)4750 NC12(17)5000 NC13(18)5250 [23750] {+25NCP +5 levels}
PE42 (4200) PE43 (4300) PE44 (4400) PE45 (4500) PE46 (4600) PE47(4700) PE48(4800) [31500] {+280pts}

Total 55250 Remaining 1175

Suitachi looked down at the zenny chip, then back to Mazer.

Suitachi looked back down to the zenny chip, peered at the number listed on it, then back to Mazer.

One more time, Suitachi looked down at the sheer amount of Zenny being presented to him at once. Very calmly, he looked back up to Mazer.

*PING* went the sound of Suitachi's glasses being blasted clean off his face and sent sailing across the room, from the force of his eyes bugging out so wide. He choked on his words, fingers gesticulating wildly around the card full of Zenny...and then he whiplashed straight into a wholly pleasant demeanor. "Sure thing, man," he grinned, unlocking a cabinet and withdrawing the requested items.

The twelve upgrades were neatly sorted and packed into a cheery little box, which Suitachi pressed into the other man's hands. "Thanks for stopping by, dude, come back any time," he squinted slightly as he smiled, making up for his sudden lack of glasses.

...Had the sheer quantity of Zenny fixed the eternally-bored man's disposition?

=Mazer GET: Process Upgrades 42-48, NCP Upgrades 9-13
=Mazer LOSE: 55250z
Mazer moved his head to the side to avoid being struck by the oddly ejected eyewear, and turned to watch the glasses clatter to the floor. "Uh..." He adjusted his own and somewhat awkwardly retrieved them before giving them back to their proper owner. "Thanks..." he replied as he exchanged the glasses for the small box of upgrades. He managed to form a smile as he looked at the now squinting Suitachi, "have a good day." He didn't bother loitering and made his way back out the door with earnest, his expression changing from a polite smile to confused worry once his back was facing the counter. ["What... what the hell just happened?"] he thought to himself as he made his way back to the bus stop.

((To ACDC))
Lyn swaggered into Suitachi's shop, still fanning herself with her hat. She couldn't decide if she was lucky that the shop was so close to the cafe she and Mira had been at or not... she normally hated the bus, but she certainly could have gone for the air conditioning this particular time.

She walked up to the counter and put down her zenny. "Sorry, bub, nothing fancy this time. I've got 4500z for three HP Memory. Make it fast, if you don't mind... I'm uh, trying to beat out of here before somebody shows up..." Uncharacteristically, she lowered her voice for this point, as if not wanting the person in question to hear.

Looking over her shoulder once, she shot her head back around to Suitachi's face. "You get in a fight? Your dweeb glasses look like sh*t. Ah, no offense, ya know."

(1250z + 1500z + 1750z = 4500z for HP Mem 2-4)
(Total 5325z - 4500z = 825z remaining)
It was a bit unfortunate that Lyn was in a hurry. At first glance Suitachi seemed to be waiting behind the counter with an uncharacteristic grin on his face, but as she greeted the store owner and made her requests he simply stared out the door, presumably after his last customer, the slightly dazed look in his eyes as unwavering as his grin.

And stared. And stared. What should have been a quick transaction seemed to drag on for far longer than it should have as the customer standing in front of him went unheeded. For want of abetter term, it looked as though the salesman had... crashed? A few long moments later he blinked, then squinted at Lyn, shaking his head, and blinked again. He looked down at the zenny before him, squinted at it instead, grunted sourly when he couldn't check it properly, then hastily ducked down to retrieve a second identical pair of glasses from a new case, which quickly replaced the old on his face.

"Mm. Right." The man gave a tired, long sigh as he retrieved the upgrades and packed them neatly, like a man awoken from a glorious dream, back to a dull and zenny-scrimping reality. He made the exchange and handed her the goods. "Thanks... have a good day, I guess."

-=LYN GET: Hp Mem 2, 3, 4.
-=LYN LOSE: 4500z
Joan staggered in, out of breath and looking a bit windblown. She looked around curiously for a moment, quickly stepping in and to the side so she was out of the way of the door. What had Rayner mentioned he wanted earlier? Something to do with speed and processing, she knew that much. She tallied up the prices of what she thought she wanted and then looked around a bit to pick out something else as well. "That looks useful." She muttered, and promptly blushed as she realized she was talking to herself in public. Oh well! Time to do some shopping.

Projecting more confidence than she actually felt Joan approached the counter, thumbing her PET's controls so it would transmit the money required directly from her account. "Hi! I was looking for a Speed Upgrade, an NC Upgrade, and three process upgrades please! Also uh, how hard are these to install? I haven't upgraded my PET before." She held out her PET as she spoke, turning a bit bashful as she admitted her lack of knowledge. If he wasn't able to or unwilling to help. she could always go and bother the school's IT department instead.

(Buying Speed Upgrade 1 (5,000), NC Upgrade 1 (1,000), and 3 Procces Upgrads (100, 200, and 300) for a total of 6,600 Zenny.)
Mira strolled into the shop wuite happy with herself, humming to a song that was sure to be unrecognizable as she started making it up about half way through. She was in a much more cheerful mood than she had been a bit earlier and had already forgotten what had caused that to begin with. Now she was just looking to spend some Zenny.

Her smile turned to a grin as she saw her new friend still in the store, giving Lyn an enthusiastic wave as she approached the counter.

"Hi hi! I need 2 hp memory and two PU's please!" She had already prepared the funds, which she promptly place down on the table.

((1000+1250+500+600=3350z))
Strangely, Suitachi wasn't at the counter like he usually was. In fact, it didn't even seem like he was around at all...or so it seemed, until a smart cart rolled out from the back. On it were two piles of updates, each for one girl. Joan would notice that the correct amount had been deducted from her account, too. Question was, why couldn't he come out? Maybe he was in the middle of taking inventory?

BOOM!

The sounds of a small explosion could clearly be heard...maybe it was better to just not ask...

Joan LOSE: 6600z
Joan GET: Speed Upgrade 1, NaviCust Expansion 1, Process Upgrades 1, 2, and 3

Mira LOSE: 3350z
Mira GET: HPMemory 1 and 2, Process Upgrades 5 and 6
Lyn got her stuff and saw Suitachi walk away, but she was too slow to get out of the shop before Mira walked in and engaged her. The operator didn't think she could simply walk out now, so she decided to walk over and check out what Mira was buying. After all, she was a bit curious about Katran's abilities, having not really gotten a chance to see them in the previous encounter.

She kept her usual frown on and didn't bother addressing Mira in return, instead glaring at the back door Suitachi had left through. A series of spooky events was unfolding, but they more or less seem to have culminated in Mira getting her purchase. "The hell is wrong with that guy..." the operator muttered under her breath.

"Anyway, whatever, you're still tagging along, huh? I'm not done putting the screws to my Navi for the day, yet, so the two of us still have some more work to do. Come on, if you're planning to. And for Pete's sake, please keep a lid on it..."

Seeming less than friendly, but surprisingly still interested in partnering up, Lyn decided to lead the way out. "If four eyes needs help, maybe that other chick will deal with it," she told herself, completely shedding the mantle of responsibility from herself and onto the stranger.
Mira snapped up the upgrades with her hand in a single motion, grinning like an idiot as she did. Purchase in hand she turned from the counter, only to face Lyn as she did.

"Well, i had to buy some things too! It's not exactly following. You didn't say I couldn't come though!" She spoke, giggling to herself slightly afterwards.

She perked up at the words more work however, tilting her head out of curiousity. "I'm always game for more fun, but what is it we're doing? Well no matter really, you can explain on the way! let's go!" Marrily following Lyn's lead.
Joan gathered her loot from the curious car and turned to go, stopping to browse some of the NC Parts for sale. She didn't have enough for them now, but, maybe later...

A surprisingly small 'boom' turned her attention to the back and Joan glanced about nervously at the other two customers who were apparently leaving the store without a care in the world. Maybe this was a normal thing around here?

With a look of unease on her face Joan decided to follow the other two out, maybe it was best not to get involved.
