Inside the shop

"Thanks! You too." Dave left the shop, whistling.

"Alright, that should do it for today's outing. Might as well head back home."

Polonius himself made his way into the store, rubbing the back of his neck as he opened the door from the outside. The door closed yet a part of his coat was stuck on the hinges, making him look back "This always just seems to happen...!" he exclaimed as the student opened the door, finally making it over towards the counter. "Let's see... I'll have around 42000 zennies... I mean " the med student said as he shook his head, placing his PET on the ground. "I'll have three process upgrades... comes out to 4200, right?" he asked, tapping on the counter.

"People always seem to get something stuck in that door at least once every day, it seems," Suitachi commented as he went to get Polonius's requested upgrades. Placing them on the counter top, he accepted the cash and bagged up the upgrades, handing them to the medical student.

"Here you go. Have a nice day."

"Thank you." The student said with a bow of his head, running off through the doors and heading towards the Metro. Now inside, Polonius then waits for the Metroline to reach ACDC, content in his purchasing power in the navi upgrade market.

The door swung open quietly on a dead whisper of a breeze.

It was a wet one. Always was it seemed.

It made a wet dog out of everyone.

Marlowe threw his damp hands into the oversize pockets of his trench, approaching the counter.

Suitachi picked the water soaked list up off the counter, and squinted at it a moment. He eventually deciphered enough of what remained of Marlowe's handwriting, and quickly assembled what he hoped was the man's order in a pile upon the counter. He took the Zenny, added it up with the refund value, and realized he'd gotten it right. Suitachi quickly put the cash in the register, and pushed the pile of upgrades towards the customer.

"Here you go. Have a nice--" Suitachi looked out the door to realize it was pouring down rain. 'Nice' didn't describe it at all. "ehh... A better day."

Desmond walked into the store, drenched, with a clear frown stretched across his face. He wiped away the moisture on his face and tried to brush away the water that had already soaked into his jacket.

"Frig, it looked like such a nice day when I left." groaned Desmond, "Where the hell did that rain come from?"

"The clouds perhaps?" replied the snarky racket.

Desmond didn't even bother to respond as he scanned over the shop stock. Nothing really caught his eye although he gave an occasional expression of shock when he saw some of the prices.

"Man... HP Mems are getting expensive. Better get some more before they really go up in price." Desmond muttered.

Deuce tried to amend that statement, "Desmond, I really don't think you underst-"

"SHUP." snapped the operator, clearly short on patience before he turned to Suitachi, "Hello, I'd like to get... Three HP Memories and some of those buster things."

"Nothing better to make a sunny day out of a rainy one than a good upgrade~"

Suitachi quickly grabbed all the requested upgrades and stacked them on top of a small plastic bag. With a single pull, he prepared the upgrades for Desmond and even placed a small towel over the top to keep the upgrade nice and dry. "Now move on before you flood my floor!"

"Thanks." Desmond nodded to Suitachi with a light smile.

His happiness was short-lived as he quickly remembered the terrible weather waiting for him outside. He gave a sigh of lament and tried to bundle up more tightly before heading back home through the downpour.

Na'im stepped into the store nonchalantly and looked around for a bit before stepping towards the counter. "Yo," he started simply and pointed at a package behind the counter, "One buster upgrade. The Knockback effect kind." With those words he held out a credit card towards Suitachi as his PET was elsewhere.

"Right away, sir," replied Suitachi, reaching out for a box from a display behind his position with expert dexterity. Packaging it, he placed the purchase on the counter top and swiped the offered card with a single smooth move. A few taps on the register later, and it made that ubiquitous 'ching' sound the shopkeeper liked so much.

"One thousand for a Knockback Effect. Thank you, and have a nice day."

Destin walked into the Navi Shop with a scowl on his face. He approached the counter as he tried to compose himself, and put down a piddly 700z.

"I would like a seventh process upgrade please."

He said, trying to bite back any tone that might be interpreted as disrespectful. It wasn't the shopkeeper's fault that his day was turning sour and Destin had no problems with the shopkeeper. So, Destin tried to keep his own misgivings out of the conversation.

Suitachi was busy watching something on his PET when Destin walked in, but looked over as the NetOp requested a purchase.

"One process upgrade... here you go."

Suitachi took the money and handed the upgrade to Destin in a small paper bag.

Destin said as he paid and picked up the bag. Then he headed out of the shop.

Setting foot once more into the navi customization shop, Vincent walked up to the counter and eased his card from pocket. "I'd like an HP Memory if you please.." Blinking he'd give a faint thoughtful Hm before nodding. "Throw in two process upgrades as well if you would."

"HP Memory..." Suitachi mumbled sleepily, scratching his head as he looked at Vincent with half-lidded eyes. Without looking, the shopkeeper lazily grabbed the upgrade, setting it on the counter top. "Process Upgrades..." he whispered to himself, and again, he placed it on the counter, without even bothering to check if he had been right. The card was taken and swiped quickly as Suitachi sat down behind the counter on a chair.

"Have a nice day...." he said, gesturing at the upgrades before promptly nodding off.

Mill walked into the shop, having noticed during his daunting trek across the street that just the fact of Magna being registered to Anyis was advancing her level measure as Magna grew. As such, Mill knew that this shopping trip would be more playing catch-up than anything else. Reluctantly, he only took two HP Memories off their shelf before proceeding to the counter. "I'd like to buy these and five Process Upgrades, please." Mill said to Suitachi.

(Buying HP Memory 3, 4; Process Upgrade 12, 13, 14, 15, 16; 11500z)

"THE WORLD!" Suitachi yelled, throwing his hands up in the air dramatically.

Seconds passed.

"Right, have a nice day," the shopkeep nodded, adjusting his glasses and shooing Mill off. The operator soon found the exact amount he needed to pay had been deducted mysteriously from his account.

"Uh... Right, thanks." said Mill as he took a hurried leave from the store. Suitachi was obviously in a bad mood, and Mill didn't particularly want to find out why. He wasn't even sure what all Suitachi was capable of...

(Moving to ACDC Town)

Tapping the side of his headphones with a curious look on his face, he finally took the upgrade and smiled at Suitachi. "Sorry, had to pay attention to something," he said, figuring the shopkeeper was wondering when he'd leave. And with this, Na'im left the store.
