Red Team: Go!

Gradually, the highly defensive group were getting their targets whittled down... mostly through RiderMan's aggression, with some assistance here and there from delta, between a majority of careful evasion. It was working, however, and no-one was getting hurt in the process, so it wasn't all bad.

The IronShield virus continued trying to pin down Someone, Anyone, with it heavier, more accurate shell, keeping its shield up while it tried to pin someone. It continued to fail, however, its shot going so wide that Delta didn't even need to dodge to avoid it. This was probably a good thing, since, lit up by the Killer-eye's beam as he was, moving would likely trip the laser, while remaining perfectly still would not. Delta remained perfectly still.

RiderMan readied his next defence and charged hard towards the Bunny, shield up. In a panic, it launched one last electric ring at him, but this only got absorbed into his defence, before the solar shield retaliated with a piercing blast of light back at the virus. It survived the smoking only by virtue of the protective panel beneath it, but the holy terrain couldn't save it from RiderMan's claws as he grabbed the virus up, cutting in and hurled it down the way, towards the KillerEye, still hiding amongst its cubes.

A number of things happened at once now; The bunny flew through the air, slamming into the sentinel eyeball, and causing damage to them both, but in the process, the hapless virus crossed through the trip laser that its ally was aiming at Delta, and the eyeball fired, quick as light. Prepared to dodge if needed, Delta managed to throw himself out of the laser beam as it scorched through, avoiding harm, but the bunny that triggered the blast was charred from the net with a pitiful squeak. The KillerEye, for its part, looked like it might need a moment to recover from releasing so much energy at once, but it remained on the Holy panel still, and hadn't taken very much damage in the exchange.

RiderMan's plan worked, though not in quite the way he expected. Not thinking more of it, he got to his next task: Relocating the KillerEye from it's protective flooring. While the ocular enemy appeared to recover from its attack, RiderMan moved in and attempted to sink the claws of his right hand into the virus's spherical body. If successful, he then tried to hoist the virus up as if he was winding up to throw a large beachball with one hand. It wasn't difficult to locate the stationary IronShield; the artillery virus appeared quite content to stay in that spot, even though it didn't seem to hit anything.

RiderMan then promptly attempted toss the KillerEye directly towards the IronShield, careful to release the virus from his claws at the right moment, he didn't want the spheroid foe to sail overhead or get spiked into the ground. He couldn't help but briefly wonder if the virus would bounce... That thought had to be put off for later, since he still had the previously untouched IronShield to deal with. RiderMan bolted forward as his engine growled with a steadily increasing pitch; he streaked across the battlefield floor towards the IronShield. "Charles, let's try out that SonicBlade next!"

Chuck gingerly nodded and muttered a quiet ["Got it,"] before he picked out the appropriate chip, he also noted there weren't very many chips left to choose from. While Chuck moved to slot in the chip, RiderMan arced slightly out to the East as he tried to approach the virus from the side. Though it didn't take long for him to cover the distance, he showed no indication of slowing down or braking. In fact, he kept up his speed all the way to the virus. He was only a few feet from the virus when he twisted his body to the right and raised his right foot, his left foot continued to roll, with his right leg slightly bent as he wound up a kick. Suddenly the tire of his left foot locked up and screeched, which acted as his "pivot" point to whip his body and outstretched leg around in an attempt to deliver a full-force kick square in the side of the virus's armored body. RiderMan hoped his kick found its mark, otherwise the built-up momentum would cause his entire body to careen into the virus with a much less impressive, and less damaging, result.

If successful, he aimed to send the virus tumbling, or at least sliding, away to possibly bowl over the KillerEye in the process. Once he felt he had forcefully put enough distance between them, he activated the chip that was very recently uploaded to his program. RiderMan planted both feet, with his left foot and side facing towards the IronShield and KillerEye. He then brought his left fist horizontally over his chest and "punched" it into the palm of his open, and still claw-like right hand. Red sparks splashed and flickered from the impact, but even more started to appear as he gradually brought his fist from his palm. As his two hands backed away from eachother, they continued to leave behind glowing sparks, which appeared to form in the shape of glowing sword with a simple cross-guard.

As soon as the sword formed, he grasped the hilt of the weapon then briefly raised it above his head before he delivered a sweeping downward slash. The "embers" of the blade seemed to be flung outwards from the swing with a loud *whoosh*, catapulted towards the two viruses like vertical wave of energy.

Throw deals damage to both thrown object/enemy and the second object/enemy. Damage occurs at point of collision with the ground/wall/ceiling/etc. or an object/enemy, not during initial grab attempt. Objects deal their max HP in damage (instead of the chip's damage) if they hit an object/enemy, then break. If they miss, the object just takes the chip's damage. This chip has a variety of uses.

IronShield, KillerEye
With his opponents down to a meagre two viruses, RiderMan set about relinquishing the viruses of their protective flooring, by sinking his claws into the KillerEye virus and sending it off towards the IronShield in a straight line. With the shield-bearing virus having its tower shield raised, it was helpless to block its comrade-turned-projectile, and they crashed into each other, causing both to end up on their sides as a result. RiderMan then accelerated rapidly towards the two and gave the shieldbearer virus a solid engine-boosted kick. With both of them still being rather close together, and due to the IronShield's size, it ended up bringing the KillerEye along for another wacky ride through the air, after which they received a sweeping slash from the SonicBlade. Electrical sparks crackled from their heavily damaged bodies as they crashed into the ground a good distance away, quite unable to attack from being treated as ragdolls, but they weren't quite deleted just yet.

With his final two foes staggered and toppled, it was the perfect opening for him to finish them off. RiderMan stood up straight and pointed his left arm towards the two stricken viruses. "We're nearly there, let's finish this with the Shotgun and BronzeFist!" he called out to his NetOp.

Chuck already had the last three chips of their arsenal in his good hand, so he was able to slot the requested chips in without much trouble or pain. As soon as the Shotgun chip data was uploaded, a simple buster barrel slid outwards from RiderMan's left wheel hand. While he refined his aim to put his proverbial crosshairs on the KillerEye, the surface of his right hand and forearm changed from their normal colors and finishing to a nearly uniform bronze, polished to a glimmering sheen.

Once RiderMan lined up the shot, the shotgun went off with a loud boom and a very brief flash of orange light. For a very brief moment, RiderMan could see the faint glow of the energy shot careen towards the virus. The barrel was still oozing a bit a smoke before it quickly retreated back into his wheel hub, and the tire folded out into his broad, slightly curved fingers. He then switched up by pointing his right fist straight out in front of him, towards the toppled IronShield virus, and clasped his left hand over his right elbow.

RiderMan's visor glowed in excitement as he stood in a heroic pose, weapon at the ready. Though it likely would appear cheesy to any passersby or other observers, RiderMan couldn't help himself from what he did next. "Rocket Fist!" he loudly announced like a TV superhero performing their signature/finishing move. A split second later, his entire fist and upper arm launched forward and streaked towards the IronShield virus, thanks to the three small rocket motors housed inside.

Regardless of the rocket punch's success in clobbering the virus, it would've attempted to rocket skyward after passing/passing through the target in a tall arc back to RiderMan. Once it established an accurate trajectory, its rocket motors cut off and let it fall back towards RiderMan with its fist still pointed skywards, so the Navi could "catch" it back on his upper arm with a metallic *thud*.

The last two viruses now disgraced on the arena, RiderMan took the spotlight as he prepared his last two attacks in the form of the Shotgun and BronzeFist chips. Lining up the shot with the toppled KillerEye, he dispatched it in one, and turned towards the remaining IronShield. With it on its side, the hapless wheeled virus was unable to defend itself as RiderMan announced its demise in the form of a transformed Rocket Punch attack. The gleaming fist comically swept along the virus before it turned skyward, sending the battered virus careening across the field. RiderMan's fist returned to him as he 'caught' it with his arm, signifying their complete triumph.

KillerEyeKillerEye (KillerEye)

KillerEyes do not move or dodge during battle, though they can move under their own power between battles. They can, however, turn in place. KillerEyes are a passive threat, not an active one. They direct their sensor eye in the general direction of a sensed threat, and emit a laser trip beam for the enemy to run across. If the enemy does run into the beam, they fire their Sensor Beam attack at the speed of light, which is practically guaranteed to hit, before recharging for an action.

Area: NAXA, NetVegas

HP: 100
Attack Damage/Effect: Trap(Movement In Laser Beam's Path) + Seeking: (25 + Stun 1 + Beam Attack + Recovery Time 1)
Attack Accuracy: S
Attack Description: The KillerEye emits a visible Sensor Laser beam from its eye. The Sensor Laser ignores all forms of stealth, but cannot see through or be triggered by stationary objects. Any object or creature that actively moves through the Sensor Laser breaks it, where there is a fraction of a second time delay before the KillerEye responds with a plasma beam that zaps everything along the path the Sensor Laser occupied previously. The KillerEye must recharge for an action after firing its plasma beam before creating another Sensor Laser.
Element: Elec
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): Sensor1, Zenny
Special: Immobile.
Special: KillerEyes cannot beam sweep with either the Sensor Laser or the plasma beam attack. Every time it is moved, whether by its own rotating to direct its beam, by outside force, or by any other means, the beam it emits deactivates until it is stationary again.

With the rocket fist "caught," RiderMan was left in a triumphantly heroic pose as the last of his enemies were reduced to bits of residual data and glowing packets of loot. His lower arm and fist returned to its normal black, red, and silver colors and seemed to suffer no ill effects from being launched like a missile; he was able to reach down and pluck one of the closest datafiles from the ground with ease. "Justice served! Thanks for the support, Charles! Couldn't have done it without ya. We had quite the army to deal with, but still made it out on top!" the Navi boasted.

["No problem, that was pretty cool,"] Chuck responded with a nod, before he looked down at the pile of "spent" chips that lay on the blanket covering his lower body and lap. RiderMan confidently revved his engine, taking just a little bit of pride in his NetOp's comment.

After he briefly took a moment to gather up the spoils of the battle, he heard his NetOp's voice again. ["Oh, hi Dr. Bradley,"] RiderMan overheard, causing him to pause and listen. ["I know it's a bit late, and we scheduled that X-ray for tomorrow, but we had a last-minute cancellation, so we could get those X-rays done now if you're up for it. Is that alright with you?"] There was a slight pause, then Chuck responded. ["Okay, might as well."]

Taking that cue as his time to depart, RiderMan faced Delta and Honoo. "Sorry to cut and run, but Charles has an appointment to prepare for. I hope to see you two again, take care!" RiderMan waved, and would be smiling if his face wasn't completely obscured by his masked helmet, and took the opportunity to initiate the Jack Out sequence from his own side, so Chuck didn't have to wait on him.

Delta absently waved goodbye to RiderMan, then walked over and collected his own share of the reward data. A moment later, he waved goodbye to his other comrade and logged out.
