Inside the shop

Wh-whoa. That was much faster than last time. Th-thanks, Harke said as he left the store, bringing the upgrades with him.

Dave was busy setting something on his headphones, so he didn't noticed that the goods were on the counter already. When he heard someone (probably the next customer) saying thanks, he looked up and spotted the upgrades waiting for him.
"Thanks, see ya!" he said as he grabbed the stuff and left the store.

Jared walked into the shop late in the evening, after the last of his project work at Sci-Labs had come to an end. Broadside and Ro have been very helpful these last few days. I figure they've definitely earned a thank you. He walked over to the electronic catalog, and browsed through it. He stood there for several minutes, until something dawned on him. He turned back a few screens to the process upgrades.... Yes, that's what they need. Especially now that Broadside's on a public service kick.
With that thought, Jared loaded 3100 Zenny into a credit chip, then walked up to the counter. "Hello, I'd like two Process Upgrades. This would be numbers 15 and 16." As he addressed the shopkeep, he placed the chip on the counter.

Suitachi blinked at the customer at the counter as his mind waged war within itself to remember who this person was. Remembering customers was a show of good business, and Suitachi KNEW this guy had been here before... but curse it all, it had been so long that he couldn't remember. "Ah... Yes, sure thing. Just a moment..." muttered Suitachi to the mystery customer while making effort to avoid having to say his name. With all the deftness that was expected of him, the Navi shop owner swiped a pair of Process Upgrades of a shelf in the blink of an eye and placed them on the checkout counter. "That'll be 31- Okay, so you know how much it is. Right then..." Suitachi sighed as he took the piece of plastic and ran it through the register. This guy was really throwing him off his game today... "Alright, there you go." announced Suitachi as he handed the credit chip and upgrades back to the customer. "Have a nice day."

"Thanks, you as well." Jared replied as he pocketed the blank credit chip and the two upgrades, and turned to leave the store. He walked outside and was halfway to the metro-line station when he remembered something. He stopped, took out the upgrades, and checked for any small cards with You've been Suitachi'd. on them, and curiously found none this time. Jared smiled to himself, shook his head, and walked on.

Remembering customers was a show of good business, and Suitachi KNEW this guy had been here before... and as soon as he walked out of the store, it hit him. Like a car going 100 km/h... Like a stampeding elephant... Like a meteor falling from the sky! This was it! In one sudden motion, the cranium of one shop owner entered into a state of sudden acceleration. In an arced trajectory it traveled, proceeding in a downward direction until it related to the fixture in the immediate path. Like a hammer beating down a nail, the skull slammed into the sturdy furniture supporting the store's cash register. The sound of the impact echoed through the store for a few moments, before all fell silent...
In short, Suitachi had performed the move called a "headdesk". "JT! Damnit..." Better luck next time Suitachi, better luck next time.

Then she was back into the shop again. Wait, didn't she just come here not long ago?
Nonetheless, she made her way towards the counter, giving a small smile at the headdesking shopkeeper. "Um, excuse me sir," Camillia started, wondering if she should add in more friendliness.
... No, there wasn't any merit to it anyway. Not like it'll give her any more discounts.
"I would like to purchase one process upgrade, please," she said simply, sighing as she stretched slightly in her seat.

Slowly Suitachi raised his head again to look at the new visitor, his head bleeding and the lights of the store ominously flickering as if from a horror movie. "What?" he questioned the girl before he heard her shopping request. A disgruntled sound slipped his lips as he turned around and kneeled down at a box, behind the counter so it was impossible for Camillia to see him at that point. Flung through the air were knives, swords and an axe while the lights of the store continued to flicker. He raised himself up slowly, a small object in his hand. "Process Upgrade," he muttered while holding the item out towards Camillia, Suitachi's head looking bloodier than before due to the time between then and now. "400 zenny, please," he continued, then took a pack of bandages out of his pocket with his free hand while waiting for the money.

Camillia kept silent at the effects of some cheap horror flick that was in the shop, wondering if she should offer some help with the shopkeep's bleeding head.
Then there were sharp objects flying through the room, and all her feelings of wanting to help disappeared.
... Camillia wheeled in closer, placed the 400 zenny on the counter, waiting for him to register the cash before taking the process upgrade from his hands. "Thank you," she said, albeit in a small voice before carting herself out of the weird shop.

Chris strolled into the shop, cursing the recent bout of bad luck he and Nitro had been having. Getting walloped by that Swordsman really drove it home that Nitro wasn't strong enough as he currently was. I'll boost his HP, Chris thought, and I'll program some better sigs. The next time we see that Swordsman, he'll think twice about messing with us. Chris looked up at the prices for the various programs, and pulled out the small notepad on his PET. He started scribbling frantically, and after a few seconds, came up with a sum that showed the total cost. "A little steep," Chris said to himself. "But we can afford it." "Excuse me!" Chris said to the owner. "I'd like two HpMemories and three Process Upgrades." Chris pulled out his money and layed it out on the counter, sorting out the correct amount. He then looked up, and between the flickering lights, the assorted weaponry on the floor, couldn't help but think that he might start taking his business somewhere a little less insane. "The uh, the HpMemories are my first and second, and the Process Upgrades are my second, third, and fourth." Chris paused for a moment. "If you don't mind me asking, what happened in here?"
REQUESTING: HpMemory x2 (1000 + 1500 = 2500)
Process Upgrade x3 (200 + 300 + 400 = 900)
Total Cost: 2500 + 900 = 3400z

Having been around this store more than the its Battlechip counterpart, Mill had little trouble finding what he wanted. "A Speed Upgrades... Some Process Upgrades, and... Hmm... Hey Anyis, your Navi Customizer is still pretty empty from that conversion of your buster programs, right?" asked Mill.
"Yeah. That Undershirt is still the only thing in there." responded Anyis.
"Alright, then I'll get this FloatShoes program. You seem to be drawn to weird types of terrain, so this should help." decided Mill, confident in his assumption.
"Hey, it wasn't my idea to fight on a giant cake!" shouted Anyis in response.
"Yeah, yeah, it was just a joke..." sighed Mill. "Well, whatever. This thing can't hurt regardless." He picked up the loader for the FloatShoes program, and with his other items in hand, came up to the counter. For a second time today, items were placed on a counter, Mill's payment card came out of his wallet, and a bell was rung for service.

"Alright you two, I've got to get back to the tube, so I'll try to make this quick for all of us. LIGHTNING SWAP!" Suitachi cried out, swiping cards through the cash register with both hands and then throwing out the upgrades to their appropriate recipients. "You guys should go home and watch the finals. Red vs. Pianissimo! The only thing better than watching would be actually having made it there yourself, right?" he asked the two with excitement, rushing back into the employees only room to finish watching the tournament.

"..." Mill knew, just knew, that comment was aimed at him. Even if Suitachi wasn't conciously aware of it, it was. Damnit, this was going to be haunting him for weeks, wasn't it? Whatever. With upgrades procured, Mill left before he could receive any more subtle ridicule.

"Why are you here?!" A Netopian girl entered the shop, her PET in her hand as she listened to her screaming Navi. "You're about to get kicked out of the inn, remember?!"
"Oh, relax! I sent them an e-mail telling them I'd be there, and I've still got some time to kill! We'll make it, so just chill, okay?" With that, Sabrina started browsing for a moment, until she decided on what she wanted. "Okay, I'll take 4 Process Upgrades, and...one of those BusterReset things! SplashLady, how much is that?"
"...7650."
"Thanks!" Precisely that much cash was unloaded onto the counter, as she started waiting for some service.

Steve now walked into the shop, with a large bag o gold in his hand, so to speak.
"Hey, Suitachi. How's about a Speed upgrade, and uh, some buster stuff... how about a Slashing Shot, and... What the hey, a PowerUp, too."
"Oh yeah, I also wanted to fiddle around with your MANAPOOL again, Druidman. I'll need a Process edit, too, Suitachi."
((Speed3+SlashingShot+PowerUp1+SigEdit=15000+1000+1000+220=17220. PowerUp applied to Attack, Level increased by 4.))
