Inside the shop

"Do keep in mind that if you really want to do this, we've got a lot more preparations to make." Trenn said to the tiny Soundman floating in front of him as he walked into the store, feet making a swishing sound as they treaded across the floor. "And also that it's really stupid even then."

"Yeah, but it'd be one hell of a show, wouldn't it?" Soundman replied, grinning.

"For all of fifteen seconds!" Trenn rolled his eyes, exasperated. "Look, we'll discuss this later." Soundman disappeared as Trenn thumbed the 'off' switch on the PET, arriving at the counter. "Four process upgrades, please."

Taking a walk outside the shop for once, Suitachi found the world outside his shop quite pleasant and refreshing, finding time to look at the trees and smell the roses. He discovered that being cooped up inside his shop for what felt like most of his existence was a sad existence indeed, and decided to make his most life-changing decision yet. Yes, he was going to go back to his shop and sit behind the counter like a good character.

Satisfied with his resolve, Suitachi pulled up the hood of his jacket over his head and pushed through the doors of his shop. Immediately, he found two people talking to the cardboard cutout he had set up. It was unsurprisingly effective, considering how strikingly manly it looked. However, he found that the people were customers! "Damn, I'm out of here," he mumbled, executing a 360 and walking out the door in one smooth move.

Seconds later, a brownout killed the lights in the shop for a couple of moments, and the two customers would find their money deducted, their PETs upgraded, and their faces pasted with a Post-it note, denoting one word: "Suitachi'd!"

Trenn GET: Process Upgrade x4 [#9-12]
Trenn LOSE: 4200z

Frederick GET: HP Memory, Process Upgrade x2 [#1-2]
Frederick LOSE: 1300z
Trenn tore the post-it off of his face, balled it up, and tossed it in the garbage can in the corner before walking out of the shop.
Fredrick was unsure of the antics caused by the shopkeeper. He slowly pulled the posted off and left unsure if he would return again. Maybe online orders would be a better deal, if in shop interactions were handled like an off beat magic show. He retreated from the shop, upgrades at the ready to be programed.

Walking into the shop, Scarlet adjusted her collar slightly, and took out her card. Sliding it across the counter, she stated simply and without hesitation, "One process upgrade, please."

[Process Upgrade #6: 600z]
[Remaining: 1030z - 600z = 430z]
"One Process Upgrade, coming up!"

As exciting as it sounded when Suitachi said it, as if he was a certain-fish-cutting-chef, the shopkeeper just turned around and grabbed the upgrade off one of the shelves and brought it in front of Scarlet. Awkward silence lingered in the air till the shopkeeper began to nod his head to himself. "Now get going, you don't want the upgrade to turn cold!"

Mazer walked in through the front doors of the Navi shop, sniffling slightly and seemingly trying to stifle a cough every now and then. He made his way up to the counter, and retrieved a small zenny card from his PET before placing it on the counter.
"Hello, I'd like to get a Process Upgrade, please. And... oh, don't have enough... *sniffle* Yeah, just a Process Upgrade."

Mazer smiled, but couldn't help but feel disappointed that he couldn't get anything else. "Oh well," he thought. "I'll just have to make this one count."

PU #37: 3700z
"Racking 'em up are we? Thanks for your business!" Suitachi grinned, producing a process upgrade pack out of his sleeve and taking the zenny chip.

"Have a nice day."

Mazer LOSE: 3700z

Mazer smiled as he retrieved the upgrade from Suitachi.
"Haha, I guess so. *clears throat* Thanks!"

He put the upgrade in his pocket, and started to make his way out.
"You too. Thanks again."

As soon as he walked outside, the cooler air caused another coughing fit. Mazer's glasses almost fell off his face as he coughed into the crook of his elbow, and winced as it finally stopped; a headache coming on.
[[i]You sure you're alright, Mazer? That didn't sound healthy[/i]]

"Yeah... I'm okay, but I may be coming down with something. I'll head straight home.

Mark casually strolled into the Store, his headphones in. He had turned on his music, zoning out the world around him, even the sounds from Sasha and Trent as they played. Sasha's loud bark would occasionally come through as a feint and distance noise over the headphones. Mark loved this time alone, nearly as much as Trent enjoyed it too. Mark moved to the counter, and inspected the upgrade prices on the glass. "Just as I thought." Mark took his ear buds out.

Mark withdrew a credit card from his pocket, and sat it down on the surface before him. "One speed upgrade please and one process upgrade. This is my navi's second speed upgrade, and I do think his fourteenth process upgrade." Mark placed one of his ear buds back in to listen while he waited.

{Buying Speed Upgrade v2(10,000) and Process upgrade v14(1,400)= 11,400 total)
"What a hefty purchase! Just hold on for a second." Suitachi quickly prepared all the requested upgrades and laid it in front of Mark, gleefully snatching the credit card as he swiped it across the machine. "Alright, all set. Come back next time with more zennies!" said the shopkeep as he returned the card.

Mark GET: [Speed Upgrade V.2] Navi Upgrade, [Process Upgrade V.14] Navi Upgrade

"Right, I'll make sure to hot-swap it," joked Scarlet, picking up the purchase, and indeed starting up the process to hot-swap the upgrade while Terra was still up and running. "Anyway, time for work," she said, walking out the door and heading for the Metroline again, this time punching in a ticket for a ride back to Yoka.

[To Yoka!]
Mark happily gathered the upgrades and walked from the store quickly. He nearly forgot he card and had to double back a few steps to grab it from the counter. He moved quickly out of the shop, ready to upgrade his PET and reset the process attacks of Trent. His mind was racing at the various thing that Trent would want to have redone, and also, he was thinking, he might want to head the invitations of that family soon. If he wanted to get back into the ring soon that was. Sasha wasn't ready yet though, so soon. Mark left the store, turning out towards the nearest coffee shop.
Finny entered the shop, feeling under the weather after a few failed attempts at virus busting. "A-ah...Hey, shopkeep. I need upgrades, since my navi seems to be getting beat up every now and then." With an upset sigh, Finny reached for her pocket and pulled out the money she needed to purchase the upgrades and laid it down on the table.

Requested Upgrades:

[li] Level 2 HP Memory [1,500[s]z[/s]]
  • Level 3 Process Upgrade [300[s]z[/s]]
Total: 1,800z
"Sorry to hear that, I hope these help." Suitachi said sympathetically, sliding the upgrades over the counter. His hand glazed over the box, coming to a rest over Finny's own hand.

"If you need anything else, I'm here for you." He whispered with a concerned look on his face. He then retracted his hand, somehow weaseling the money from under Finny's grip.

A woman in a white coat stood before a row of shelves at the store's far end, wholly unremarkable except for the troubling fact that she seemed to be arguing vigorously with her PET. With one last sigh she pocketed the sleek black shape and lifted something off the shelves before making her way up front. She slipped through the small crowd easily, weaving between the other customers with hardly a hair out of place to reach the counter. She laid the four boxes before the cashier, neatly stacked. "These are fine for now."

Suitachi was on the phone with someone. He took the money and exchanged it for the goods, adding only a nod of his head and a wave of his hand to acknowledge the completion of the purchase. Busy, busy...

Iris GET: Element Shot, Glitch Shot, Set Grass NCP, HP Memory 3

Iris met Suitachi's nod with one of her own, quickly slipping the purchased items into her coat pocket and turning towards the door. She produced her PET again as she disappeared into the labs proper. "There. Happy now?" Whatever the response, it was quickly drowned out by the hustle and bustle.
Scarcely after the doors had closed, Iris pushed through them again, her stride significantly more hurried than it had been just moments before. She smoothly closed the distance between her and a shelf of Process Upgrades, stacking them across one arm and laying them down on the counter in a rough pile. Her lips remained hard-set and inexpressive, but there was a decidedly sheepish look in her dark eyes.

"Yeah... No, I don't think-- Argh, would you let me finish?!"

Still on the phone, Suitachi was apparently acting much more animatedly now, waving his arms about in what appeared to be indignation. Waving a bunch of papers about, he glanced at the additional purchases, and his forehead creased for a few moments. After that, a gesture of his head and a few curt nods assured Iris that her purchase was approved. The shopkeeper then started cursing with some rather colorful words through the phone, apparently not very mindful of customer relations.
