Inside the shop

Roxxy came into the shop clearly out of breath. She had jogged fairly quickly the whole way here, and hadn't passed Teruko at any point along the trail. Now entering the shop, she realized the woman wasn't here, either.

She bought a drink from the NetCola machine, sat in one of the chairs, and took a moment to catch her breath while wondering how she could have lost Teruko like that.

"They're not here either. I guess we must have lost them." Gale noted, more confused than sad.

"I'm sure we'll catch up with them eventually. Things work out that way. Besides, someone as gutsy as Teruko can't be a hard one to run into." Roxxy responded.

After her resting moment, which she spent looking over the ads and such adorning the walls, Roxxy made her way to the desk. "A process upgrade would be great."

[Buying First Process Upgrade, 100 zenny]

"One process upgrade, coming up," said Suitachi, who deftly extracted one basic upgrade from one of the boxes that lined the counter display, and set it on the top. Soon, the upgrade was properly put into a plastic bag, and handed over to the breathless customer.

"100 zenny. Thank you, and have a nice day," he said.

Roxxy dropped the cash and picked up the upgrades in a single swipe herself. She turned and left the shop, giving the clerk a dismissive wave and a polite "You too."

She headed out in much less of a rush than she had been in on the way in.

"IIIIII'm back!" Burt called out, leaning into the shop with a big grin. With fresh zenny jingling in his pocket, he felt loaded and ready to shell out in celebration of his new SP, which would be coming to him soon. "Let's see, I'll take four of your finest process upgrades, Suitachi." With that, he plopped the money on the counter and went browsing through net navigator magazines in a rack to the side, particularly ones with pretty girl navis on the covers.

Returning Burt's grin with a small smile of his own, Suitachi brought out the process upgrades requested on the counter top, and packed them up into plastic bags. Sliding the money into the register, he pushed the pack of upgrades towards Burt.

"If you've finished looking at that, here. Have a nice day," said Suitachi.

A bright singing voice was heard as Na'im entered the store, Djinni's hologram sitting on the side of the PET on Na'im's back. Swaying her feet back and forth and singing happily, although the lyrics consisted of 'lalala's and 'lululu's, she looked around curiously and waved at Burt the moment she saw him when Na'im stopped in front of the counter.

"Hello Suitachi," Na'im started, shooting a glance and a smile at Burt before focusing his attention at Suitachi, "Five Process Upgrades for me." From his wallet he took out a couple of bills, each having big numbers written all over them, and put them down on the counter.

After taking Na'im's money, Suitachi sorted through the bills himself and then retrieved the upgrades he'd been asked for. He seemed a bit frustrated at the change he was being forced to deal with, as if common sense should tell Na'im handling transactions digitally would save them both the trouble. Still, he answered Na'im with a smile fitting for his 10000 zenny customer. "Thank you, and have a nice day," he said, handing the upgrades to their new owner.

"Whoops, just finishing up~" Burt responded, flipping quickly through the magazine and reading none of the articles. Showing that he had no intention of buying it, he returned it to its place sloppily and headed for the door. "See you later, Na'im. After seeing Djinni last time, I'd say upgrading her's pretty dangerous, but you're the boss!" he chuckled.

((Heading back to Dentech))

"I'm sure that won't be an issue," Na'im commented to the shopkeeper and collected his Process Upgrades. It was an expensive purchase and in a way he felt as if Suitachi was scamming the entire Netbattling community. He glanced at Suitachi, bordering a glare, but then turned away.

Djinni quickly waved at Suitachi as the Operator and Navi pair left the building.

Rose's recent busting run had led to a minor reevaluation of her strategy. She had thought a lot about why she hadn't been doing quite as well as her friend, and came up with a few reasons.

"I haven't upgraded Summ in a long time," she thought. "So here I am." She entered Suitachi's, with a specific plan to buy something. It wasn't a very specific goal, but she wasn't too concerned with how SummonerMan was upgraded, just with making sure that he was.

"I think his design is a bit childish still, too." She mused. "I mean, he could be more generally Summon based." The card thing had recently started to strike her as overly specific, and she wasn't sure she could be successful if she kept over specifying with all her silly fads.

By this point she had been staring at the upgrades for a while, and had managed to make a fairly boring judgment on what she'd buy. She glanced around for a bit more before placing her payment down and informing Suitachi about what she wanted.

"I'd like an HP Memory and a Process Upgrade, if you don't mind." She requested.

[4th HP mem(2500 zenny) + 11th Process Upgrade(1100 zenny) = 3600 zenny]

Vincent returned to the navi custom shop with a glance around, it was starting to feel almost like a second home with how often he was coming and going. Still he'd wait for his turn before nodding to Suitachi and placing his card on the counter. "I'd like Process Upgrades 12 and 13 please."

"Alright, let's see what I can do," said Suitachi to his two customers, lifting the required upgrades from their respective hideouts in storage easily, and placing them on the counter. Both forms of payment were accepted, and the cash register made that familiar ringing sound.

"There we go. Have a nice day."

With a nod of thanks Vincent took both upgrades, along with his card and turned to leave, offering a slight wave on his way out. "Thanks a lot, see you around soon I'm sure."

Rania came into the store dressed in her familiar sweatshirt and shorts once again. Her forearms were bandaged so that the bruises wouldn't show, but other than that, she'd recovered nicely and it was hard to tell she'd ever been involved in the painful incident that had put her into the hospital for a day. "Hey Suie- er, Suitachi. I'm going to get another HP +100 today, if that's okay with you. I think that's 10000 zenny, right?" she asked, sliding the zenny across the counter. "What do you think, MeleeMan? This should help make our first adventure back even more exciting!"

"Well, I don't know if more endurance necessarily means more excitement, but it couldn't hurt," MeleeMan admitted. "Hey, you're not saying you think I need it, right? I'm pretty tough as it is."

"No, but just think of it as a little extra insurance. You can even think of it as a memento to help us remember this peaceful feeling, if you like. After all, things can't stay too peaceful between you and me forever, can they?"

"Nah, peace is one thing I don't do well," he grumbled.

"All right. One second," said Suitachi, walking back into the store room, and returning a couple moments later with a small box, containing the required upgrade. "There we are, one HP+100 NCP," he said, packing up the box in a small plastic bag.

"Have a nice day."

"Wow, has the time passed this much already?"

Marius was staring down at his watch as he entered the shop, shortly shifting his attention towards the shopkeeper. "How are you Suitachi. You'll be happy to know, I hit a jackpot!" The white-dressed operator reached out for his jacket pocket and drew out a card, sliding it towards Suitachi along with a small paper note. "This is the list of upgrades I want to buy. It's rather long...You think you have everything in stock?"

And suddenly... music started playing...

"I've got so many-" Suitachi started, attempting to break into song before the holographic image of Tempoman shot up out of his PET and slapped Suitachi across the face. Well, not really, but it was effective and Marius was presented with all his upgrades in an orderly fashion.

"Ahem! Um... Have a nice day!" Suitachi grumbled, fixing his glasses as he drained all of Marius' cash.

Despite spending the entire ride number crunching, as well as debating stuff she wanted, Sabrina still couldn't figure everything out by the time she walked into the store. In fact, it only seemed to make her that much more indecisive. "Shoot...everything looks good!" It took several more minutes of flipping through the store catalog and usage of the PET's calculator program to decide once and for all what it was she was going to get. There we go, that looked good. Wait...less than 100z short? Seriously?

"...Oh, come on! All that cash and I'm 60z short? You've gotta be fucking kidding me!!!" The Netopian girl blinked, a bit surprised that came out. And so loudly, too. "Er, sorry 'bout that, got caught up in the moment..." While embarrassed, she soldiered onto the selection. "Anyway, I'll take a Break Shot, a HP+200 NaviCust program, and 4 NaviCust expansions! Oh, and a Process Upgrade!"

Just as when Marius was about to head out of the shop, a familiar face came through the sliding door. "Hey, Sabrina. I guess you're here to spend some of those hard-earned money?" But when he was about to pass on by, he realized something was strange and turned back to the Netopian girl.

"If you're here...Does that mean Voulge and SplashLady is done? Did something happened?"

But before he could ponder even further into it, Marius shrugged and waved farewell. "If anything, Voulge will tell me about it. Take care of yourself."
