Inside the shop

"Ah, it's JT. One sec, I'll go get it," greeted Suitachi, reaching down to the glass display underneath the counter to get the upgrade. Placed on the table, Suitachi bagged up the purchase before accepting the payment. "There we go. Thank you, and have a nice day."

JT GET: Process Upgrade #21
JT LOSE: 2100z

"Alright, thanks." JT said with a smile as Suitachi handed him the bag. "Have a good one, Suitachi." the Netopian man added with a wave as he turned to leave. He was actually kinda surprised Suitachi remembered his name for once. That thought carried him out of the store.

Entering Suitachi's shop, Harke wondered how long it had been since he got into the iconic store. He was pretty sure it was yesterday, but somehow it felt like an eternity. The great feeling of earning just enough cash to upgrade was just something you got addicted to for some reason, Harke reasoned. He pulled out his PET, and extracted the zenny card contained within. Of course, he knew exactly what to buy. Everyone did.

"Three process upgrades, ten to twelve," he said, sliding his card across the counter.

Suitachi had his face hidden below the counter rearranging some stock when he peeked his head out. He was wearing a fake white beard and a red night cap with a fluffy white trim and a matching pom-pom on the end.

"HO HO HO!" he cheered, "Have you been a good little boy this year?"

As Harke slid his card across the register, Suitachi looked at the balance and noted, "...Yep. You're good."

There was a large bag, roughly the size of a person, sitting beside him which he reached into and fished out three gift-wrapped boxes. He handed them to Harke and added, "Thank you... AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT."

"Wha-"

Okay, was Suitachi off his rocker? Man, it wasn't even December yet. Oh well, he got his upgrades. "Thanks," he said, taking the boxes and grinning like an idiot before he walked out of the store. Shaking the boxes, he wondered, ... Did he give me the upgrades or just some weird kid's t- OH I WONDER IF HE GOT ME THAT ACTION FIGUR-

His mind trailed off towards wondrous visions of gifts, as he walked off to the place he called home.

Camillia rolled in once more, already used to this place and it's tiny doorframe by now. "Hello there again, sir," she greeted, placing the necessary payment-- the exact amount-- on the counter. "I'd like five Process Upgrades, please."

"Five process upgrades, coming your way," said Suitachi, bending down under the counter to extract said upgrades. The boxes were placed atop the counter, and the peripherals placed into a plastic bag for easy carrying. Grabbing the money and dropping it into the register, he handed over the bag to Camillia.

"Oh and um, sorry about that doorway. It's always been large enough for other people with chairs, if I remember correctly. I'll try to get that fixed. Have a nice day," he said.

Russel walks in into the shop and flounders around a little bit, pretending to look over the stock while honestly just wondering where to start. Marry had said that she looked it up and what she could get was a Process Upgrade. That seemed as good a place as any to start, and the price didn't look too bad for a first time buyer.

He steps up to the counter and speaks:

"I'd like...a...process upgrade? Level one please."

"Sure thing," said Suitachi, kicking up a box over his head, and catching it expertly with one hand. With a flourish of his hand, he grinned mischievously as he showed off. "Oop, there it goes," he said, packing it into a plastic bag, and handing it to the operator. "One hundred zenny. Have a nice day," said Suitachi, grinning for all he was worth. Hey, a guy had to have some fun.

Russel GET: Process Upgrade [#1]

"Uhh, thanks," Russel mumbled, trying to hide his aw at the shopkeeper's dexterity. "There's a manual for this, right? Err, never mind, I think I can figure it out." He turns and starts to walk out of the store. A little voice squeaks out from his PET. "That was cool~".

Russel nodded as he opened the shop door and headed back out into the busy streets.

Roger entered the shop, a cup of coffee in one hand and his PET in the other. He passed some fleeting glances at the posters and ads strewn about but wasn't interested in those. He had just visited the shop yesterday and had a good idea of what they had to offer. There didn't look to be anything new so he headed for the front desk.

"Hi, I was here yesterday and I bought a speed upgrade with some other things. Um, I was wondering, if I bought another speed upgrade for my PET, would that make it run better or do I really only need the one?" Roger asked before apologizing, "Sorry, I'm new at this. I'm just asking because I saw you're selling some for ten thousand zenny, but the one I got yesterday was only half as much."

Roger got his credit card ready and added, "If getting another speed upgrade DOES help, I'll just pick one up now please. There should be enough under the account called 'Treasure Chest'."

Suitachi watched the somewhat portly man enter the store, and recognized him from the day before. "Ah, back again sir. What'll it be today?"

He listened to the man ask about the speed upgrades, in regards to the price. He paused for a moment, since he did not want to inadvertently reveal the true nature of the price hike. He scrambled for a moment as he grabbed the upgrade, but returned with a smile, and an answer. "Oh, you see, each speed upgrade comes in certain levels, and are compatible only with PETs equipped with a certain level of processing speed and energy output. Since this particular upgrade is designed to be compatible with PETs outfitted with level 1 upgrades, the software must be more robust to be able to create a significant boost in Navi performance without becoming corrupted. The same goes for the next level of speed upgrade."

Suitachi swiped the credit card and charged the proper amount before he handed Roger the upgrade with a convincing smile. "It's no problem sir. Have a good day!"

Thankful for the tech lesson, Roger bowed slightly to Suitachi, "Thanks for the explanation. I'll try to read up on more before I visit next time. Haha!"

With a smile on his face and an upgrade in his pocket, Roger left the shop in search of an electrical outlet and possibly a jack-in port to test his new purchase.

Destin Obscura hurried into the shop from the outside. He had to weave a bit to get through the crowds both inside and outside the store. He placed a credit chit on the counter with exactly 1100z displayed prominently upon the LED surface.

"*Huff, huff.* Hi. I'd like to purchase a v11 Process Upgrade please."

He asked with a tired smile. It had been a long day of riding on trans and dealing with crowds.

"Hey, you all right? You look a little tired," said Suitachi, moving over to the boxes where the Process Upgrades were kept, and extracting one to put on the counter. Bagging it up, he took the zenny, and scanned it through the register.

"It's been a long day, you know how it is. Thank you though."

Destin replied as he took his purchase off the counter.

"Have a good day."

He said before leaving the store.

Mark walked into the shop, sometime later in the day, and placed his card on the counter. With his chest held out, and his shoes extra shiny, the well dressed operator declared, "I would like two process upgrades if you please good sir! Levels 12 and 13 are the ones my navi requires!" Mark shifted his weight to the side and leaned on the table in a way he would call, 'Like a cool kid' and gave the shop keeper the double guns snap and point hand gesture.

Trent, meanwhile, turned off his holographic HUD.

"..... Okay, sure."

With a questioning eyebrow lifted up, Suitachi extracted the Process Upgrades from box storage, and set them on the counter. A plastic bag quickly wrapped them up nicely for easy carrying and storage.

"2500z. Have a nice day," said Suitachi, smiling.

Mark GET: Process Upgrade [#12-13]
Mark LOSE: 2500z

Mark put the card back into his pocket, and slid his hand under the boxes of the upgrades, picking them up without effort as he bowed his head slightly to the shopkeeper. "Thank you and good day!" He turned on his heel and walked out. While leaving he looked to his side to see if Trent was still there in hologram. He wasn't "Trent? Where are you?"

Sullen yawned and made a sleepy shuffle in the line; this time she wasn't staring at the walls or her feet; feeling somewhat more comfortable in a public setting. Still she had a napkin filled with simple math and scribbles of a fox on them. "Howdy, I think this adds up."
