Delta examines both battlechips from the fight. "A buster mod chip, and a healing object. We'll see. I'm good to keep on moving, unless you have any complaints."

Henry looked over his navi, and the status display on his computer screen, before responding, "I'm not sure what happened at the end of that fight, but you definitely seem to be healthy enough to deal with more viruses. I do want to visit the chip shot when we're done here."

"Alright. Then it's settled - I'll keep exploring the network here. Any idea what sort of chips you're looking for?" Delta asked as he began to walk further on.

"Well, we don't have any wood-element chips, which would be nice to have in this network..."

((Ready for Battle 3))
As Delta pushed onward through the Electown net, the rough pathway he was on grew more uniform and straight, the distant cluster of oddly-shaped structures drawing nearer. He'd only managed to travel a short way, however, when a shape appeared in the distance, careening down the road towards him. It resolved into the rolling form of an Armadil virus, moving quickly, and in another moment it blew past the navi at break-neck speed.

Behind it, in the sky, Delta could see the shapes of two flying viruses following swiftly after; one looked like a large bust with neutral features, surrounding by a hazy electrical aura, while the other seemed like a more modern fighter plane. It was hard to tell if they were chasing of following the Armadil, but in either case, a screech and a heavy thump announced that the land-bound virus has stopped a short way past Delta.

If he glanced back, he would see the virus had uncurled and turned to face him, a curious expression in its eyes. He'd also notes the shape of a smaller virus just behind it; round, with two metal prongs for arms, which had apparently been following Delta on the sly up until now.

Delta whirled around as the Armadil tore past him, spotting the Billy that had apparently been following him as he did so. Turning partially to look at the oncoming fliers, he contacted his netop. "We've got company. Two behind, two fliers oncoming."

Henry swapped back over to his computer's view of the area. "...I do not like the look of those two fliers. Stay on guard, and use your shield. Need any chips?"

"Not just yet," Delta said, forming his rocket launcher on one shoulder as he did so, and taking aim at the oncoming jet. Firing the rocket resulted in a momentary trail of smoke as it flew towards the virus, but that quickly dissipated.

Having fired, Delta activated one of his navicust programs, forming a shield on his right arm. This defense was brought up between the navi and the two flying viruses, as said navi turned back towards the viruses behind him.

Finally, Delta prepared himself to avoid any attacks from the land-bound viruses. His self repair system kicked in, fixing some of the remaining damage from his last fight.

Declining his operator's offer for battlechip assistance for the moment, Delta formed his rocket launcher at once, and fired it at the faraway FighterPlane. Surprisingly enough, the plane flew directly into the path of the rocket, erupting in a plume of smoke. Unfortunately, it seemed to be much sturdier than its biplane shape would suggest, and it started moving down towards him while firing its minigun at him. His shield didn't do much to block the incoming gunfire, as he sustained two bullets to the shoulder and arm. (-5x2) The head-shaped virus further up ahead, however, seemed to be a little less interested in the fight, meandering about high in the sky instead.

Behind Delta, however, the two viruses were very much raring for a fight, with the Armadill coming up first by spinning up into a ball and then launching itself forward towards him. However, it seemed to be a bit overeager, and overshot his position by a couple of feet, ending up next to the charging FighterPlane. The Billy, meanwhile, wasn't really affected by the Armadill choosing to leave its side, and fired a quick duo of bolts from its pointy hands. Delta's quick thinking was able to allow him to sidestep the attack, fortunately, as his systems began to patch themselves up. (+15)

Delta glanced at the Billy as he sidestepped it's attack, but then turned back to the virus that he has exchanged fire with earlier. "Alright, cannon and minibomb. I'm going to try to finish off the plane and the sparkplug."

Henry had spent the previous few seconds organizing his chips, and was thus immediately able to plug both chips into his PET. "On their way. Good luck."

Delta smiled as his left hand transformed into a buster, and was raised to aim at the aircraft. "Thanks." As his systems continued to patch themselves back together, the navi jumped aside, attempting to avoid an attack.

Lastly, Delta formed the spherical shape of a minibomb in his right hand, turned around, and lobbed the explosive underhand at the Billy.

With all of his foes, front and behind, beginning to engage him, Delta aimed to bring down the fighter plane before it could strafe him any further. As he lined up the shot, the large, lightning-auraed head virus turned to look down at him, and launched its face at him. Delta managed to jump aside as the head crashed into the ground where he had been, and then withdrew back towards the floating base. The moment had given the plane enough time draw closer to him, bearing down on the navi in a low attack run that saw it coming right towards him. Its guns began to chatter, with two shots pining off the metal path either side of him, but before the plane could body-check him directly Delta fired his cannon, sending the shot crashing straight through the fighter's engine with a burst of smoke and rending metal. The plane blew past him, off course, and crashed to the ground somewhere off to the side of the path.

The Billy virus sought to capitalise on Delta's distraction as he faced away from the explosion with the requisite levels of cool; it launched a slower-moving ball of crackling lightning from between its prongs towards the navi's back. the ball of energy wove around as it travelled, and by chance meandered off course to actually hit Delta, but as it drifted past him, it turned and swung about, homing back towards him. Delta answered the sneak attack with a more direct one; his mini bomb landed right at the Billy's feet before exploding in a virus-ending cloud of smoke and debris.

The Armadill had spent this time uncurling itself and turning about in a moderately sedate manner, carefully lining itself up with Delta a second time. Just after the navi launched his bomb, it felt the time was right and curled up again, dashing into a violent rolling charge back the way it had come. this tie it did manage to connect with Delta as it passed, barrelling through him with a great deal of weight and impact, though the navi's own repair systems were swift to mitigate and neutralise most of the damage it caused.

As soon as he had recovered his balance from the Armadill's tackle, Delta jumped, hoping to clear the ball of electrical charge that was attempting to home in on him. "Firehit, please." His self repair systems continuing to work, repairing the navi further.

"Firehit, on its way," Henry said as he inserted the battlechip.

Delta turned to face the virus that had rolled into him, his hands lighting up with a firey aura. Stepping forward and throwing a punch, a fireball launched from the navi's hand, moving swiftly towards it's target.

Delta followed up with a second fireball-punch at the unlucky virus, hoping to cut it down so that he would only have one foe left to face.

Emboldened by its successful hit, the Armadil turned about swiftly and prepared another rolling attack, coming back at Delta again along the metal pathway. As it rushed towards him, however, Delta was forced to dodge away from the homing electricity ball, which seemed the bigger threat, and it didn't leave the navi enough time to evade the rolling attack as well. Fortunately, as before, his own self-repair systems compensated for the body blow, and he followed up behind the virus with a quick double punch that put its light out. Up above, the Megalian watched, and re-positioned itself to get a better angle on the ground-bound navigator, while remaining high up itself.

Delta looked up at the last virus, examining it's head and...well, there wasn't much else to it. "That thing seems way to comfy up there...mind sending me the rest of our cannon chips to try shooting it down?"

"Alright...two Cannon battlechips incoming. I dunno if you'll hit with both of them though, that thing's pretty high up..." Henry expressed his doubts with the situation.

"Oh you of little faith..." was the navi's good natured response, as he raised his buster towards the flying statue. Once more, the shock of the cannon's recoil traveled down his arm, as it launched a slug upwards.

A moment later, Delta leapt aside in an evasive maneuver. The navi fired again, launching another cannon shell in a high trajectory towards the bust-like virus. "Heh. Busting a bust."

As he chuckled at his own joke, his systems worked to undo the damage taken from the virus' attacks.

Delta's solution to a high-up virus was to simply attempt to shoot it down with a couple of cannon shots. Thankfully, it seemed to work well enough, as its head was shot down from the heavens, Delta was ready with his attack, punching a hole into its statue nose. He then rolled to the side to avoid being crushed by the giant head, and fired again on its return trip, wounding it critically, but not quite enough to take it out fully. It was on its last bit of strength, though, looking much worse for wear as it returned to the safety (?) of its protective aura on its neckpiece, while Delta's injuries patched themselves up further. Megalian-EMegalian-E (Megalian-E)

All Megalian-E viruses are equipped with Omnishoes, and fight from the air. This virus type will spend an Action Dodging, and then Attack the following Action. If there are more than one Megalian (family does not matter) the viruses will work together, alternating their attack Actions or attacking as a group (mod's discretion). When attacking, both the head and the base can be damaged separately (if the Aura protecting the base has been destroyed).

"Do you...?"
"The virus is on its last legs. I can finish this with my buster. But thanks for asking," Delta responded to Henry's query, raising his buster and firing twice at the flying bust.

He paused for a moment, then fired twice more, the weapon's fire barely visible in the air.

Looking up to evaluate his work, the netnavi kept on his toes, ready to evade any more flung heads...

As he did so, he continued to heal thanks to his self-repair systems.

With only the lingering Megalian left, Delta took a couple of quick shots to finish it off before it could cause any more trouble. It tried to swerve away from his buster the first time, but it was slow and injured, and Delta was able to correct quickly enough to still make the shot count; it struck the electrical field around the virus and dissipated it. The small shudder that followed from the flying menace was enough of an opportunity for his second shot to strike home and end the battle with a fairly loud crash as it fell to the panels below.

((It's pretty generic, but aside from that, our setting is many years on from that time-frame and technology is more advanced; functionally, it's up to the player to decide how they want their attacks to take shape and appear. Your 'gun' chips don't even need to be aestheticed as guns, if you don't want - how your personal navi actualises their chips is very open. You have a lot of freedom in this respect, since it's a purely cosmetic flavour choice))
((Fair enough.))

Delta.exe sifted through the data left behind by the viruses as they expired, then exhaled in annoyance. "Just zenny...sending it over now," he said, scooping up the reward and transferring it in a beam of red light.

After a few moments, the netnavi started walking again, looking around for anything interesting.

((Ready for battle 4))
Exploring the Electown network for more things of interest, Delta happened upon a parts junkyard, where the vast swathes of metal trash piled up to twice his height around the area. A sizable path was cleared through the junk, but it looked less like it was pushed to the side, and more like the path was made by forcefully destroying it. The junk at the edges of the path looked torn apart and charred, though there was oddly no burnt smell of any kind. That changed a little further in, however, accompanied with the sound of fires erupting intermittently.

Delta would then find a small clearing in the middle of the path through the junkyard, where three piles of tyres were stacked up high and melted into strange-looking fused rubber piles. One of the piles was glowing a slight shade of green, for some reason. In front of each one, a Champu performed repeated jabs onto it, further deforming the shape. In the junk piles off to the right, a pair of Volgears seemed to be hovering about lazily with no real aim. That changed quickly, however, as one of the Champu spotted Delta's approach, and alerted its pals with a shrill cry, which caused all of them to turn towards him, with hostility in their eyes.

Delta eyed the viruses warily, before swiftly shifting his weight and leaping to the left in an evasive maneuver. "I could use some help here. It's all fire element viruses."

"Noted."

A moment after coming to a halt again, Delta triggered the defensive program installed in his customizer, creating a massive shield on his right arm. This was adjusted slightly to ensure that it would catch any attacks sent at the navi.

Meanwhile, Henry had selected a battlechip. "WideShot, slot in!"

Delta raised his left hand to point at the pair of viruses to his right, before forming his buster. After a moment's pause, he fired, launching a blast of water that expanded into a wide blade, cutting across the field toward the Volgears.

Wary to begin with as he entered the clearing and surveyed his foes, Delta raised his shield and swiftly dodged as the first champ to see him warped closed and tried to make a rapid double punch at him. A second one warped to him a moment after, though Delta was able to catch the first blow on his shield, and the second strike swung just a hair wide of him, the flaming fist streaking a burning scent with it just inches from his head.

The third Champy had its fist raised, but shrugged when the other two seemed to have the navi crowded and turned back, swinging its fists again at the back tyre pile. Delta's focus had turned to the viruses on the side however, and as he angled himself and moved enough to line the pair up, two viruses shuddered and blasted a twin column of marching fire pillars that crossed the field towards him. Two of the nearer tyre piles were caught in the conflagration, melted and destroyed by the rush of fire. Delta himself was able to shield himself from some of the fire, but one of the columns still winged him regardless, for a painful singe. It wasn't enough to throw the navi off his attack, however, and a moment later the watery shot that swept back towards the two viruses thoroughly drenched both of them, preventing any further trouble from the pair.

As Delta's inbuilt healing systems kicked in to remedy the burns that had just been inflicted on him, he narrowed his eyes at the virus still standing next to the remaining pile of rubber. "Send me our cannons please. I'm going to end this."

"If you say so. Sending chip data now."

The armored navi moved quickly, forming his buster on his left hand as said appendage whipped up to point the weapon at the virus to one side of him. The recoil threw Delta's left arm out in front of him, and he swept his right arm up to help steady it.

A moment's shifted weight later, Delta had braced himself. This time, the shot was aimed at the foe before him, and the recoil's only noticeable effect was to shove his weapon, arm, and shoulder back slightly.

Finally, he shifted his aim slightly to bring his weapon to bear on the final Champu of the trio. The slug from the battlechip tore across the field too fast to follow, towards the unfortunate virus.

Assaulted by several of the surrounding viruses at once, Delta opted to go on the offensive sharply and blasted the champy closest to him with a cannon shot damaging enough to remove it from the net. The one that had been disregarding the tussle now turned its attention to the small cluster of combatants and warped in to lend a fist or two. With delta giving no heed to his own defence, the two burning punches managed to connect against him, though they were mostly mitigated by his self repair systems.

Rather than attack the one that had just struck him, Delta took the methodical path instead, and turned his cannon on the other Champy, nailing it as well before it could react. The final champy seemed stunned, and began trying to back off, but it had nowhere to go int he few moments that passed before Delta was able to reload and fire the third shot, finishing off his third foe neatly.

All that remained was to collect the data that could still be useful. There wasn't a huge amount of it, but as he searched quickly, Delta recovered something that could be converted to chip data, from where he'd deleted one of the champy viruses. The remaining tyre pile also turned up a crystal inside it, slightly cracked from the damage it had taken, but otherwise intact.

When all the shards were collected, Delta spoke up again, "Do you think that we should take our spoils and go shopping, or keep exploring?"

Henry thought for a moment before responding, resting his chin on one hand, "Let's keep going for a little longer. It seems like these areas get more interesting the longer you've been exploring them for."

"Keep exploring it is then. I do want to try out the new chips that I got."

((Ready for Battle 5))
Delta picked up his spoils and continued onwards, passing the burning/melted piles of the former tire towers and venturing deeper into the junkyard. The path briefly narrowed at spots amongst the piles of scrap. There was the occasional speck of color or odd trinket sprinkled in with the rest of the junk, but unfortunately there wasn't anything as remotely useful as a GMD or usable zenny/bugfrag data.

Thankfully it didn't take the Navi long to pass through the isolated trash heap, and without any harassment beyond the occasional uneasy creak of some piece of scrap giving away to the weight of the other junk piled on top. Upon exiting the trash heap; however, it became obvious that Delta wasn't alone.

Another program was at the perimeter of the junkyard, and appeared to be sifting through a small pile of scrap. The HeelNavi was squatting down and rustling through a collection of odds and ends, occasionally shuddering or twitching while tossing useless bits off to the side or over either one of its shoulders, occasionally pinging against the two long protrusions splaying up and out from the Navi's backpack. One thing of note was what little remained of a Cacty virus; bits still remained, and one could see some notable bite-like chunks taken out of its plant-like hide.

Delta's presence was quickly noticed somehow, prompting the HeelNavi to awkwardly stand bolt upright before pointing in Delta's direction. "Hey man, have you got any bugfra-" the program initially said before a snap of electricity arced through his body, causing the program to wince and choke on its words. After the brief shock it repeated itself, more forcefully, "I mean, give me your bugfrags!" That said, the HeelNavi pointed nothing more than a finger; it didn't appear to wield any weapons at the moment.
