Tests of Skill and Luck

That... didn't work too well.

Eternalis turned around to see the results of his latest attacks, and it seems that, well, most of his attacks didn't have their desired effect. His double-spin maneuver failed to bring the deletion to the shadow stalking him, and his magnetic bomb thing only managed to bring death to one of the moles. Three of the shadow viruses alive... and three more on the lil' shovels' side to boot. From his own experience with the shadow viruses, however, they seemed to be a lot more deadly, and Rhea was currently facing one. By herself. ...With a flimsy-looking umbrella, no less. And on top of that-

Well, well, well.

Huh? What was that?

Your choice in swords is very tasteful.

Creepy voice is creepy... wait, what's happening to his sword?! The blue energysword he held in his hand was glowing... and it didn't look very nice. The color began to slowly dim out, then flashed intermittently, seemingly insistent on something. It looked as if it settled on a dull grey for a moment, then went began to turn a faint pink. Then red, then full-blown bloody crimson. He was puzzled at the sword's sudden change, when he checked the chip queue. The RageClaw chip he'd downloaded earlier was gone. The sword, meanwhile, continued to morph, changing into a larger two-handed claymore, with an ornate decoration on the hilt depicting two very nasty red eyes.

Let's play, shall we?

Suddenly, Eternalis felt... different. In one instant, the world seemed to go from solid and impenetrable, to entirely destructible, crumbling at the lightest touch. Wild, feral thoughts coursed through his mind, influencing him to do everything and anything he ever wanted to do. His yellow eyes flickered slightly, changing as the sword's light did. First, a grey, then nothing. Nothing but red. He felt like a thousand restraints had been lifted from his shoulders, and he was able to do as he pleased. Looking at the gigantic claymore he held in his hand, he found that he also had the means to do so: a nice little weapon. Something he could use to delete them all to hell and back.

"Heheheh... yes, let's play~!"

Grabbing the handle with both his hands, he hefted the massive weight with all his might and looked for the closest target he could find. It just so happened that his sights were locked on first to a shadowy Nightmare. Without much forethought, Eternalis lunged at it with a savage roar and called, "Bastard, fall before my sword!" Two swings of the massive blade were then swiftly directed at the shadow, with him enjoying every second of it. His eyes then scanned the battlefield for any other of the same, and came across the one near Rhea. His sword, now pulsating with its creepy redness, was forcefully stabbed into the ice as Eternalis leaned on its hilt.

"Today is a good day~!"

His watery head-output then somehow bent to the sides, creating some audible cracking sounds. The sounds were akin to someone snapping the joints in their neck, made to intimidate. "I will need to sharpen you with my sword! Kekekekeke!!" he called, before pulling the sword out of the ice, ready to attack his prey. Throwing the massive weight of his sword towards the shadow virus, Eternalis was quite intent on a total and complete deletion, and nothing less. A mighty horizontal slash would be delivered, and the evils would perish from his sight.

Narrowly dodging the attacks from the Nightmare, she saw that her partner charging at her with pure, untamed rage-- which she stepped aside for him to pass as he seemed to dash straight towards the Nightmare that had tried it's luck with her. Rhea, watching the hole beside her irritably, knowing the blast did not kill off the digging moles. She wondered what she could do...

...

"Did you download the chip from the trader?" Rhea said to her operator, and Camillia nodded. Camillia immediately fixed the nodding with a vocal acknowledgement. "Yeah. I'll slot it in now," she said, which Rhea smiled slightly in appreciation.

Opening her signature, purple umbrella and lifting it over her head, Rhea started to slowly turn the shaft and the umbrella spun. The spinning started slowly, then rapidly picking up speed as she tried to use the wind generated to drag the moles out of their little holes-- and to drag the Nightmare away from Eternalis, provided if it wasn't dead yet. The moment she reached a certain top speed only known to herself, she used both her palms to stop the umbrella in it's spinning tracks, stopping the wind circulation and blasting a negative wave of air at the dragged targets. Then she immediately closed the umbrella, brandishing it like a two-handed sword, and sped towards the closest Momogra that could be seen. She made sure to lend full strength into her strikes when she did, eager to return the 'favour' of what their comrades did-- though it no longer hurt, thanks to Eternalis's imbalanced passives.

Rhea would recall that she hit twice, though she wasn't sure what did she hit before she hopped away to safety. On another hand, however, her busting partner seemed to have gone pretty crazy, what with the slashing and protecting and all.

"... Thanks," Rhea provided helpfully to her partner.

Eternalis's new sword, while impressive, would prove to be a disasterous choice...was the approximate thoughts of the Nightmares that stared at it. ...Actually, that was probably what they WISHED they were thinking, as anything else was blocked by the virus equivalent of 'Oh, fffffff-ishsticks.' The two healthy shadows attempted to shadow their way out of getting claymored, but it was no use. Writhing in agony, they disappeared into nothingness. However, the final attack was strangely stopped by another blade; in his rage, the Aqua Navi had nearly hit his own partner...

Rhea decided to try a different tactic, using the power of wind to draw her foes in. While it was a good idea in theory, the Momogra were too entrenched in their holes to be sucked out from a distance, and the Nightmare was strangely completely unaffected by the suction. On the plus side, one of the subsequent tornadoes did manage to get inside the nearby mole hole, finally removing the umbrella wielding Navi's stalker from the equation. ...Hmm? What was that? A GIANT SWORD OF IMPENDING DEATH. Rhea was able to stop it from inflicting serious pain on her, but it did provide some irony for her thanks. Oh, and those sword attacks? Not very useful when their targets are waaaay over there.

Now that she appeared to lack any defenses, the remaining viruses decided that the target without the humungous sword looked like an easy win. A Momogra snuck behind her, and tried to smack her in the back yet again, but Rhea's sidestep ensured that streak ended. Unfortunately, this put her in perfect position to get a taste of her own medicine, as the lone cyclopian shadow dug its blade into her side (-40), even as it appeared to be using her to shield itself from the enormous weapon on her other side. Granted, it went right away (+40), but that probably stung something fierce while it lasted.

Meanwhile, somewhere else...

In the infinite darkness, a towering figure was gathering strength. It had already gained enough to grab a weaker figure, and hold it near death. Meanwhile, the weaker tried to struggle out of the hold, but failed once. It seemed to give up after the one try, judging by its act of going limp. The larger and stronger looked satisfied, even patting the held one lightly on the head, mocking it in a show of ironic affection. Suddenly, an even smaller figure appeared from the darkness and slapped the held one on the face. The weaker figure looked stunned for a bit, before getting the message. It began to struggle, even harder this time, to try and break free of the stronger's grasp. Whether it succeeded or otherwise, we will see.

---

The enormous energy claymore was parried away, and with it, its wielder. Eternalis was beginning to show signs of going even further into the deep dark hole of uncontrolled rage. He started breathing rapidly, holding the two-handed sword with a cruel-looking stare at Rhea. Then, suddenly, the sword's demonic appearance began to falter, turning back into innocuous blue, and with it, Eternalis' angry red eyes. Both seemed to flicker, hesitate. Then, normality. The saber was dropped onto the floor, and the eyes returned to yellow.

The aquatic warrior appeared slightly stunned, blinking hard for a bit, shaking his head left and right. Looking at the field, he noticed one thing: the battle was almost over, with one of the moles holding a shovel mid-air. Strangely, it was the only thing he could focus on at the time. The Momogra, with its shovel. Holding its shovel, popping out of the ground...

The ground.

The thought hit him fast and hard, realization. In a moment of clarity, he requested one last chip from the direct link, with the result uploaded to him moments later. Eternalis then dashed towards Rhea in a quick sprint, the chip data gathering in his hand quickly as it began to glow slightly blue. His earlier fist was now unclenched, opened into a palm. Reaching his destination, he dug his feet into the ice, kicking up a few ice shavings in his move, and immediately crouched down on the cold ice. "I apologize for earlier. Might want to step back a bit, though." Raising his palm slightly, he slammed it down onto the clear ice, cracking it. The ground rumbled before a fast-moving line of water blasted out from the ground, heading straight for the Momogras.

The amount of crazy that went through Rhea's head when she was hit twice-- once from her partner, which was surprising (but thankfully stopped by her still-active umbrella of a shield in time), and the other from a passing Nightmare. Rhea only managed to clench her teeth at the heavy attack to her side for a second before it was miraculously healed. ... Ah. Well.

"I'm gonna go out awhile, Rhea--" Rhea heard, and just shrugged. She never questioned any actions of Camillia before, and did not intend to start it then. Eyeing the Nightmare with vengeance, Rhea answered with strong retialiation from her umbrella, swinging it in a wide arc directed at the Nightmare next to her. The fragile-looking umbrella seemed to glint slightly like a blade would even as the petite Navi swung it. Not wanting to give the Nightmare another chance, she swung again at the shadow virus, wanting to make sure that it died horribly.

Then she hopped out of the way towards Eternalis, staying out of his line of fire of the waterline and to cover his back. She just dearly hoped that he wasn't on stabby-ally-mode again.

Rhea cut apart the final Nightmare, then stepped aside as Eternalis's WaterLine created geysers from the Momogras' holes, giving both Navis a good glimpse of them as they turned into junk data, along with the rest. However, before the Navis could claim their prizes, four ethereal figures appeared; each of which had curly mustaches. Floating in the air, they all pointed their shovels angrily at the duo, before vanishing...

=====BATTLE THREE, FINISHED=====

=====REWARDS=====

Eternalis: Skully1, 1750z, +5 Rhea FXP
Rhea: Mole1, 200z +5 Eternalis FXP
Looking at the strange Momogra show, Eternalis simply looked at them with a placid face, then waved them off with a flick of his hand. Shifting his focus to his battle spoils, Eternalis examined the results of his kills. An impressive amount of zenny, in addition to a chip. Further delving into the Skully data revealed a rather large bone in his hand. What the heck am I supposed to do with this...? he thought before absentmindedly throwing it, causing it to whirl around the icy battlefield in a frenzy before returning to his hand and disappearing. ...Okay, not bad.

Suddenly, the Navi felt something heavy fall on his shoulders. Well, not so much fall, as inexplicably materialize. "That was kind of weird, Elly," a voice came from above.

Recognizing the voice, Eternalis turned up. Aurora's beaming face returned his glance. Showing slight surprise, he replied, "Hm? Oh, Aurora. You're fully recovered?"

"Yeah, I am. That was scary, though, earlier, you and that big sword thing! You looked like you were going to lose it! I had to shake you up a bit to get you off that weird sword!" she commented, a worried look on her face.

"..So that was you, then."

"Yup!" Return to smiling face.

"Well, thanks, Aurora, you're a big help," he said, before realizing he still had another companion. Turning to Rhea, he addressed her. "Hey, Rhea. I'd like you to meet my support program, Aurora. Aurora, Rhea."

"Hi! Nice to meet you!" the SP greeted, still sitting on Eternalis' shoulders as she waved her hand.

[Battle 4 - Ready]
The four ghostly figures were sort of weird, with frowns and shovels. Well, served the Momogras right-- though Rhea seriously didn't to much this battle. She bent to pick up her tiny rewards. She would have to work harder...

... She would have to keep the reward data for Camillia for now.

Rhea's attention was brought back to the 'reality' that she lived in by the sound of an extra vocal source. She looked oddly at the newcomer, head tilting to a side. The first thing Rhea noticed was the newcomer's height.

Another one taller than her. Ah well.

"... Support... Program?" Rhea blinked, unfamiliar with the term. The petite (not tiny!) Navi made a mental note to look up the terminology in her free time. Rhea bowed respectfully, wondering the oddness of having another person around. She seemed slightly uncomfortable, if anything.

"Salutations, Aurora." the purple swords-based Navi said simply.

[Battle 4 - Ready]
As the duo+1 wandered deeper into NetVegas net, their footfalls began to echo hollowly all around them. The ground beneath them had hardened into massive iron plates. Silent sentinels of twisted metal dotted the landscape; strange steel trees and spires that thrust toward the heavens. Something scuttled behind one of the spires, drawing the attention of the two Navis and Aurora. A metallic clicking rose up around the wanderers, at first soft but growing ever louder and seeming to emanate from everywhere at once.

Then suddenly...Viruses.

Metallic creatures of every shape and size rose up around our luckless adventurers. The very ground beneath them seemed to give birth to the metal monstrosities. A large shape smashed into Eternalis' back, shoving him forward. The Navi turned, but could see nothing near him. A second mysterious force, or perhaps it was the same one, pushed Rhea to the floor. Whatever it was, it was invisible to the naked eye and no doubt deadly.

Only the clanking boots of the group broke their silence as they traveled further into the NetVegas network in search of busting opportunities, with Eternalis and Rhea walking, and Aurora riding on her host's shoulders. After a while, they came to notice that their surroundings had shifted to something rather strange: a sparse forest of steel and iron. "Wow, Elly, these look really weird! They're like trees, but they're all shiny too! Look, look!" Aurora commented, pointing to one such anomaly, making a sort of 'ooh' sound.
Eternalis turned to see what his SP was pointing at, and true enough, they did look quite shiny. They also looked pretty grotesque. "It does look pretty nice. Maybe it's someone's attempt at an abstract piece of art or something. Those things look kind of dangerous, though. Better stay away from them, who knows, maybe their high-powered and electrified to kil-," he half-joked, before coming to a start in his walking.

A holograph screen appeared, with his operator in view. "I'm back."

"Decided comas aren't fun enough?"

"...Sure, let's go with that. Situation?"

"Exploring NetVegas with a partner. Her name's Rhea."

"Hm, alright. Good to see you're holding up fine."

"Yeah, we're okay ri-" Suddenly, he began to tense up, looking around. Quietly, he asked Aurora to climb down, which she did quite quickly. She seemed to have noticed what her host did, as well, as her visor began to register strange readings. Watching their surroundings, they witnessed a frightening spectacle; viruses of iron and stone, seemingly birthed from the ground itself. Frightening as it was, both kept their stance, observing their enemies. Eternalis couldn't keep his for long, though, as he was pushed down. A frantic turn around to inspect the unwelcome shover revealed... nothing. Soon after, he saw Rhea being pushed down in a similar manner, though Aurora was strangely excluded. More than meets the eye, he thought, as he stood back up with Aurora's help.

"Harke, viruses."

Harke took his cue, instantly bringing up his virus database and analyzing the composition of the group. He was quick to announce the results of his search to the group. "Alright, guys, here's what you're up against. DarkMech, 120HP. Attacks with stunning electrical shot, then slices all stunned enemies. Gaia, 100HP. Whacks ground with hammer. Most of the time, nearly invincible in stone body mode. Cirkill, 110HP. Highly accurate shooter. EarthDragon, 200HP. Lunges at enemy from pot, very powerful."

Eternalis was momentarily stunned by the vast assortment of strong viruses. If they were alone, sure, he'd probably take them down easily, but in combination they looked unstoppable. Pessimism loomed over his head. "I think we may have gotten in over our heads here..."

"Don't give up yet, Et. There's still a chance that we can beat these guys, so stay put. Okay, so right now, our priority is to disable the EarthDragons first. Their high HP along with powerful attack makes them a prime target. DarkMech, stun it so that we can deal with it later. Gaias, see if you can't observe any weaknesses in them before going in. I'll reserve Windracket till then. Cirkills are also a bit of a mess to deal with. Find some way of dealing with them. I'm sending MagBomb for the dragons, and Zapring for the Darkmech. Boomerang for the Cirkills, and this Skully thing for good measure."

"Wait, Harke. My scanners are also sensing some more activity. There might be more viruses that we can't detect yet."

"Yes, I saw as much with Et's quirky fall. That's what the Skully is for. Fend off any additional enemies with it. Also, Aurora, I'm sending you an IceCube for cover. This is a big battle, and I don't want you hurt. Got it?"

"Okay!"

"All right then. Big delivery, coming up!" Harke said, before slotting in five chips in quick succession. Then, he felt something was missing, and that he needed to add something else as well. "Battle routine, set! Execute!" Ah, that was it.

Readying himself for battle, Eternalis turned to his comrades, Rhea and Aurora. Both were under his care... he wouldn't let anything happen to them. As reassurance, he gave them both a simple salute of sorts, except with two fingers instead of a flat palm. "Stay safe, guys."

Afterwards, Eternalis materialized the magnetic bomb in his hand, just as he did earlier in his previous battle. He looked at the little black sphere he held in his hand, the yellow indented line across its midsection glowing excitedly, mirroring his anticipation. He turned to his targets; the potted flaming dragons, and began to prepare the throw. Angle of attack.. force exerted.. gravitational pull.. wind factor.. he checked off, each calculation speeding through his mathematical routines like clockwork. Finally, he drew back his arm, and threw the bomb, its yellow light flashing much more rapidly, indicative of its activation. Landing in the dragons' area, it ended its countdown with a succint beep.

Meanwhile, Aurora had received her part of the deal and began to form her defenses. A wireframe appeared in front of her, its glowing green lines forming a cube shape. The frame filled up with opaque white ice from the bottom up. It finished its construction quickly enough, allowing the fragile support program to huddle behind it and try to make herself as small a target as possible.

As Aurora took to the sidelines, Eternalis continued his assault on the viruses. Not wasting any time, his offensive routines went into overtime, processing twice the chip data into his arms. The electrical ZapRing was fuelled into his left hand, while the metallic Boomerang was routed to the other. Bright glows were emitted from the hands as a sparking yellow energy ring formed in one hand and a very sharp-edged light steel ring in the other. Eternalis' eyes focused on the two distinct targets, both robotic and mechanical in structure. Crossing his hands and gripping both of his throwing implements tightly, he whipped his arms in front of him, sending both attacks flying through the air. The electrical went for a straight-line path, while the metallic went for a curved approach, cutting through the air as it soared.

The last chip, Eternalis directed to his right hand, as he changed into a more defensive posture. Eyes darted around the area as the white bone appeared in his right hand, grasped in a loose grip. Scanning the area every once in a while, Eternalis prepared to counter any close-to-midrange attack directed at him, or his allies. The calcified stick twitched in his hand every few moments or so as he prepared his recovery processes for the worst. Setting a priority order in auto-execution mode, he arranged each member of his three-strong party in order of HP integrity. Aurora, then Rhea, then himself.

Rhea kept silent as the party moved, not eager to produce a conversation to her partner (who seemed to be preoccupied with his SP and his operator). This area, however, was dangerous enough that Rhea could technically 'feel' it-- though she didn't know how she was capable of such a feat. Hopefully, Camillia will return as soon as possible.

Soon after that train of thought, Rhea unceremoniously got pushed to the metallic ground with a resounding clunk of metal clashing against one another, before slowly composing herself -- her gimmicky outfits disappearing without a trace from the surprise 'attack'. [Practitioner.GMO deactivated]. Odd... I did not see anyone... Rhea thought dumbly, wondering if her vision senses were failing her. But when she saw how her busting partner was getting up from being pushed by an invisible force, as well, she knew that was not the case.

Keeping close with the others, she paid full attention to the briefing from Eternalis's operator. The petite Navi only possessed the sword data from the previous battle, looking slightly worn already from abuse. Not to her surprise, none of the names cited by the operator sounded familiar to her. "I do not possess any more support than my trusty sword, Eternalis. I will do my best to guard your back and Aurora's." Rhea said simply, and that pretty much ended her battle plan.

With that, she moved close to the other two, sword at the ready to retaliate any oncoming virii.

Summary of actions:
1-2-3) Retaliate any virii within range with Sword - 80DMG, Slashing

Eternalis wasted no time, tossing an E.M.P. bomb into the fray. The explosion caught one of the pot-encased viruses unaware, but the other was shoved out of the way by an invisible force. The electric pulse washed over whatever had pushed the virus away, revealing a strange creature with massive metal jaws. Could there be another virus like that hidden amongst the trio?

Eternalis launched a ring of electricity toward the DarkMech, freezing it in its tracks before it could launch a shocking assault of its own. The Navi then hurled a boomerang that curved in a wide arch to strike three of the four Cirkills.

The gunnery viruses immediately counterattacked, two firing shots that exploded into an ice cube summoned at the last minute by Aurora. Chips of ice flew wide, but the cube held if barely. Another series of shots thudded into Eternalis; the Navi responding by hurling a bone at the final Cirkill. The bone struck hard, spinning the virus around right before it fired. The virus unloaded its weapon into one of the Cirkills to its left.

One of the dragons popped up from its pot and launched a ball of flame toward the Navi group. Fortunately, the shot flew wide of the Navis, bathing the area to their left in flames. Rhea took the opportunity to strike out at the dragon, delivering two wicked slashes with her sword before a Gaia's hammer knocked her away. The Navi countered with a chop at the Gaia, but the blade skittered off the virus' stone flesh.

A second Gaia slammed its hammer into Rhea, sending her rolling across the floor. Her rolls were all that saved her from the third Gaia's smashing hammer. Eternalis' healing streams washed over Rhea, restoring a portion of her lost vitality.

A low sound rose up from the area around the battlefield and the floor began to fluctuate beneath everyone's feet. What was once metal became three equal bands: One of snow, one of magnet and one of glass. The viruses were all knee deep in snow; while the adventuring trio found itself precarious perched on shimmering glass.

Not expecting much from the opening act of the battle, Eternalis looked around to survey his surroundings, and was pleasantly surprised. The previously-thought strong Cirkills were killing themselves off, the EarthDragons were practically dead meat if he laid a hand on them, and they discovered the invisible source of viral activity Aurora was talking about earlier. Before he could ask, Harke immediately relayed the relevant information to him and the rest of the group through direct communication link.

"That black sheet of metal and teeth you see there is a Dominerd. Highly dangerous, as they are invisible, and even when they are, they have the ability to shrug off most blows to the smallest of damage. There's probably two of them, seeing as you and Rhea both got shoved. Your best chance at offing them is to wait for them to attack you. That mouth is probably a weakpoint. Use it to full advantage."

"Roger. Requesting WaterLine and Binder.

"ZapRing, please. I'll knock out that Dominerd too!" Aurora chimed in, wanting to help out as well.

"That's everything, then. Sending in chips, godspeed." The chips flew fast as the operator deftly inserted them into the appropriate slot.

Receiving each of their offensive implements quickly, Eternalis and Aurora readied themselves. First off, noticing Rhea's not-so-well state of health, Eternalis quickly routed a bit of his healing processes into Rhea, adding on an internal vitality restoration pack as well to her back. The pack materialized quickly, administering a recovery program to the sword wielder's systems. After that, Eternalis turned to the dragon-in-a-pot (the one that's not stunned, anyway) and started to prep himself to do something stupid. He took a deep breath (not that he needed it) and started to deliver a powerfully-voiced taunt.

"HEY! YOU! STUPID EXCUSE OF A DRAGON! COME AND GET ME!"

To further emphasize his point, he cocked his right arm and opened up a basic buster routine. The watery hand disappeared into the output-armor, leaving a blank hole for a barrel. Pointing it quickly towards the EarthDragon, he fired off a weak shot. Ignoring whether he hit or not, he waited for a few seconds to let his target respond, widening his stance into a defensive posture, ready to receive a blow. Then, when he sensed a change, he immediately started up his vapor process. As he prioritised it with more resources, it only took him a lot shorter to shift into the incorporeal mass of water.

Fully transformed, the aquatic warrior transported himself with lightning speed behind the EarthDragons, so as to avoid the anticipated attack. Loading the WaterLine into his left foot, he slammed down the boot, the sound muffled by the snow he landed in. Frozen mush leapt up into the air in spades as the geyser chip did its job, sending blasts of pressurised hydrogen monoxide traveling towards the dragon viruses at an alarmingly fast rate. Or, for those who aren't scientifically-inclined, a line of spurting geysers.

At the sidelines, Aurora was charging up her systems with the chip Harke had provided her with, still taking cover behind the cube of ice, which was now almost cracked to destruction. The chip's boost in resources lit up her body, causing the yellow lines on her bodysuit to glow excitedly as she charged up a ball of energy between her palms. She watched the electrical currents pulsate for a few seconds before deeming it enough to be launched. Sneaking a look over her little makeshift bunker of sorts, she kept a close lookout for any offenders to her self-proclaimed territory, keeping the ball of energy ready to be used at any time.

"C'mon, you little bastard. Show yourself..."

Meanwhile, at the front of the battle, Eternalis had just finished clearing out the WaterLine chip from his systems. The Binder left in his chip queue was next up as he extended a palm towards the ground. A green light emerged from his hand onto the ground, rapidly tracing out a round outline of something. It was quickly revealed to be a wireframe representation of a Melody virus, which filled up with black substance, forming the bouncy virus. Wordlessly, Eternalis relayed his instructions to the virus, which obeyed perfectly and bounded off towards the Cirkill robots. Watching the virus bounce off gleefully, he took a moment to check his recovery processes to see if they were still set on their defaults.

Rhea could almost hear her parts disassembling themselves as she was hit by the gigantic hammer, herself powerless to defend for herself. The only thing that seemed to help her was the recovery processes channeled from her busting partner, which she barely responded to-- she was still trying to reorganize herself into fighting condition, which was increasingly getting harder.

Outnumbered. Limited ability to retaliate. Generally useless.

For once, Rhea could be seen showing unknown pessimism and gritting her teeth, looking ready to give up from the big horde of virii. Inexperienced, this would make a good lesson for the greenhorn Navi. She stared dumbly at the oncoming assault... ... Then suddenly, she felt data coming through the communication link.

MaruBlaster2.

"Go get 'em, Rhea-- don't give me that kinda face now can you?" Camillia harrumphed disapprovingly, before picking up another chip and slotting in. "Use the blaster thingy to kill off the DarkMech. Quickly, while it's still stunned." Rhea brightened slightly in the presence of her operator, and she stood uncertainly. But the moment she conjured the blaster cannon, her confidence returned gradually. The moment she set the scope of the cannon at the DarkMech, the petite Navi let loose a roar of electricity at the virii, glowing yellow and obviously with a bugged programming at the way it twitched.

Recoiling slightly from the blast, Rhea threw away the artillery weapon and summoned the second chip's data. She eyed the Cirkills, some damaged and confused, and knew what she had to do next.

A strong force of wind beckoned three of them closer, before attempting to blast the targets into windy oblivion.

Careful and mindful of her steps, Rhea moved back close to the other two, her generator overclocking to summon up a surprisingly longer-than-usual energy blade with the help of her earlier sword data (that was still existant, somehow), purely dedicated to guard the trio from any oncoming offenses.

Eternalis used his mystic shower to wash away more of Rhea's injuries, restoring the swordswoman to something near max. He sent her an I.V. pack for good measure, anticipating the pain to come. Meanwhile, Rhea responded by launching another attack, a bolt of electricity frying the circuits of the stunned mecha. She followed up the lightning with a little hurricane; drawing three of the Cirkills towards her before the winds ripped the viruses apart.

Eternalis taunted one of the dragons, taking pot shots (Get it?) at the creature in an attempt to draw its attention. A second Dominerd appeared to intercept the shot, but the taunt did its job. The EarthDragon roared in anger and hurled a fiery sphere toward Eternalis and his group. The aqua Navi vanished before the flames landed, reappearing from the mist behind the virus. However, Aurora and Rhea were not as lucky. The SP launched an electrical assault at the Dominerd, stunning the virus in its tracks, while trusting in the ice cube to protect her. Unfortunately, flames met ice in a rather anticlimactic manner, the wave of fire melting the cube and washing over the Support Program. The heat was so intense that Aurora was forced to retreat back into the PET or else risk being deleted.

Rhea raised her sword right as the flames reached her. The energy sword pulsed as it was brought to bare against the wave of fire and somehow the Navi was able to parry the flames away from her body. Behind the EarthDragons, Eternalis readied his strike. A wave of water decimated the dragon duo, washing the viruses from the field. He followed up his attack by summoning a blob-like viruses that bounced atop the remaining Cirkill, deleting it, before moving on to bounce from one Gaia to the next.

Irritated, the Gaias moved into the fray. The first virus swung its hammer at Rhea, easily overpowering the Navi's guard and sending her rolling across the floor. The second Gaia slammed its hammer against the floor, a shockwave spreading out to hurl both of the Navis across the battlefield. The last Gaia attacked, its hammer smashing into Eternalis with crushing force.

Eternalis' healing waters washed over Rhea once more, restoring some of her vitality. The battlefield began to flash once more, this time rearranging itself to half lava, a quarter grass and a quarter mud. The Gaias and the Navi were lying in the mud while one Dominerd floated just above the boiling lava. The other Dominerd was nowhere to be found.

Seeing as how Rhea was taking a breather from the impact, the damaged seemed to be more than what was displayed on Camillia's PET. "H-hey, Rhea? It's alright if you can't handle this, since it's really a tough area of the Net and all," the wheelchair-bound NetOp advised, which Rhea snapped back to reality to. The petite Navi stared at the communicator bound on her left arm. "... I am not running." Rhea said simply, and turned her focus back to the battlefield.

The flames took out Aurora, her partner's support unit, and the remaining Gaias look like they were stationary enough that they refuse to move. Rhea turned to Eternalis, watching his expression closely before chipping in. "... I have a suggestion," she said, urgently signalling to the aqua navi on her plans.

"Use an ability which possess enough firepower to push the Gaias into the lava. I do not possess such strength, Eternalis, and once they drop into the terrain, their feetless existence will not help them in climbing back up from the panels."

"Since our attacks do minimal damage, we fight them with the terrain, Eternalis."

At that, with a "I'm counting on you" face, Rhea quickly dug herself out of the mud that she was stuck in. Attention focusing to the existing, towering Dominerd, and how it floated despairingly over the lava panel, she wondered if she could dunk the virii into the panel.

... The sheer bulk didn't look possible, however.

"LilBomb," Rhea whispered, and felt the data streaming towards her fingertips to conjure a... little... bomb. Well, if the bomb was not going to do much damage, how about a lava shower? the swords-based Navi thought, throwing the LilBomb at the direction of the lava-- in hopes of the explosion to send molten rock flying at the Dominerd above it.

Almost as if anticipating a counterattack, Rhea summoned a Guard1 chip, courtesy of Camillia to shield herself from further harm. ... The petite Navi doubted that it would last long enough for her to survive, however.

Summary of actions:-
-) Briefing Eternalis on plan
1) GET OUT OF MUD
2) LilBomb1 - 50DMG, Blast2 - Lava Panel below DominerdB (Lava splash dmg?)
3) Guard1 - REFLECT 60 once, breakable
It happened in a matter of moments. The massive ball of flames, the deletions, the movements. Everything, faster than a handful's worth of time. She had fired off her attack, and was making herself scarce behind the frozen cube. The dragon's attack was strong, very strong indeed. It was such that Aurora didn't even feel her systems failing, her integrity blown away in the space of minute milliseconds. Her visor showed a small line of green text before she left the stage.

EMERGENCY JACK-OUT SEQUENCE INITIATED.

Meanwhile, Eternalis was more concerned about his own well-being at the moment, his thoughts away from his support program. The Gaias' attacks had hit him strong and hard. His restorative processes were being put to full use, and then some, by the massive amount of damage he was taking, adding to the fact that it was linked to three people instead of one. The battlefield looked to be on their side, but they weren't done yet. All of his remaining enemies had the incredible power to reduce their damage input to an irrelevant chip in their stony exteriors. He couldn't resort to full-on charging here, as he had no means of breaking the impenetrable defense. Nothing he could do broke through it.

Think.

His memory accessed a particular point in the battle, when the Gaias had attacked him. Beforehand, he could simply see their stony faces, staring away into blank space. Then, suddenly, the rock melted away, leaving angry red eyes and purple armor behind. In slow motion, he recalled, their massive hammers being thrown up into the air. Unmoving, they brought retribution onto the snow that was, bringing a heavy blast of the white stuff everywhere along with a earthshaking pressure difference: the shockwave. One, or perhaps two, he could not tell the difference, hit him, and cracked his armor in some places.

"WindRacket, Sword."

Back to the present, the armor was already repairing itself, blue lines appearing where the damage was, disappearing in an instant. Then, a smaller metallic plate appeared near the bottom of his head on the back. The plate glowed green, and the letters I and V appeared out of nowhere, announcing its purpose to the world. The letters engraved themselves into the hard metal, glowing green as they did so. The chips were received easily, and his eyes squinted into small lines. His feet, now buried deep in a slurry of soiled water instead of frozen, kicked off into a short sprint, aimed at closing in the space between him and the hammer-wielding statues.

His right and left arms began to transform in accordance with his weapons of choice. The armor on his left hand began to click outwards to form a lineup of many angled metal plates, circling around the hand in a spiral. An obsuring haze began to spew from the openings made from the change, coating the entire arm in a cloud of grey. The cloud gathered its density for a bit, before deciding on a certain thickness. Afterwards, the cloudy pseudo-armor began to shift and extend itself outwards from his hand into a curved shape. The shape was somewhat similar to a sickle's blade, bent into a crescent-like form. The form was tapered into aerodynamic form.

The watery blob of Eternalis' right hand was sucked into the armor-output, readying for its changes. The hole left was dark and black for a while before a blue light began to emerge from the barrel. At first, the light was dim, but it gathered its brightness to a nearly blinding level as it exited the barrel. The tiny beam of light shone on the muddy surface as motes of light began to circle it. The motes added to the beam's strength and size, until it possessed its rightful form of a shining azure lightblade. The blade sharpened itself into a deadly edge as Eternalis reached his destination.

Rhea's strategy reached his auditory range as well, and he silently complied. All it would take would be a slight change in his plans. Eye-to-eye with the unblinking Gaia, he brandished his implements of deletion as he surveyed the boiling magma behind the stone viruses. He didn't waver as he eyed the statues' hammers, memories of the pain they brought him thrown away as far as possible. He grounded himself in the mud, and steeled himself to take the amount of punishment he was about to receive. His left arm was placed in front of him, ready to deliver the first blow, with the sword acting as a reserve. The recovery priorities, he left as is, as he had more than enough strength to take it all. In the silence, he muttered, enough to be within the statues' range of hearing, but no more, a taunt.

"Come on, you bastards. Show me what you've got."

Rhea's IV pack continued restoring the Navi's health as she scrambled out of the mud and launched a bomb toward the stunned Dominerd virus. The other Dominerd swerved to intercept, the bomb slamming against the virus' hardened exterior and falling into the lava below. The resulting explosion splashed molten lava onto both of the hovering viruses, dealing damage. The wave of lava released the Dominerd from its stun and the virus faded back into invisibility.

Eternalis equipped himself with an IV pack of his own and used his influx of healing water to replenish some of his health. The Navi positioned himself with the Gaias between himself and the pool of lava. He unleashed his windracket, the massive winds sending the three viruses flying back to splash hard into the lava. Two of the viruses began to move, hefting their hammers and striding toward the two Navis.

The two Gaias slammed their hammers against the earth at the same time, sending shockwaves across the ground that sent the two Navis collapsing into the grass. Rhea had managed to defend against one shockwave with her Guard, sending the blast straight back at the Gaia, but the second caught her full on. Eternalis responded quickly, healing himself and Rhea with what remained of his water. However, the fall had torn holes in the IVs and the packs now hung useless. Eternalis took his sword and retaliated against the Gaias, slashing each in turn, though the damage was minimal.

The stage of battle began to fluctuate once more. The floor separated into five distinct terrains; a bubbling purple swamp, magnetic floor panels, a pool of clear water, a plate of sheer glass and...A big bottomless pit. Eternalis was standing on the glass while Rhea found herself standing in the clear pool. One of the Gaias was standing in the bubbling swamp while another was standing with the Dominerds on the magnetic terrain. The last Gaia, unfortunately, found its floating briefly over the missing panels before falling to its ultimate deletion.

Eternalis wasn't too happy about the current events of the battle. The Gaias weren't going anywhere quick, with his strategy of waiting for them to attack leading him nowhere. He began a quick survey around the battlefield, looking at the newest change in the field's terrain. A smooth sheet of glass, on which he was standing on. Toxic-looking, purple boggy swamp, in which a Gaia was unfortunate enough to be stuck in. Sparking, electrically charged paneling, where another Gaia was sitting on, a Dominerd guarding its side like a hardened sentinel. The other Dominerd was nowhere to be seen, most probably staking out the battlefield for shielding opportunities. A pool of water, in which his partner Rhea was standing in, part of her robotic frame submerged in the liquid terrain. Everything seemed fine, except for one thing.

The last Gaia was missing.

Puzzled, Eternalis scoured the grounds for any sign of the statue virus, and he found it quickly enough. Well, kind of, before it dropped unceremoniously into a blank spot in the ground. Only irony could have dictated its panel type to be, of all things, "missing". Idea, he thought, he glanced at the remaining three viruses... four, if the second, yet-again-invisible Dominerd was to be counted. The idea festered in his mind every time he thought about it as he crouched down onto the shiny glass flooring. The reflection on the ground stared at him, defiant, determined. A crack in his armor disappeared as quickly as it was made, leaving no trace of it behind.

"RageClaw2."

Even as it was loaded for the umpteenth time, the claws still felt fresh in his left hand as he flexed the arm-extension with glee. His legs were already speeding up, ending on the charged grounds. Paralyzing shocks moved up his legs, creeping their way up and urging him on. The liquid fingers of his hands extended themselves out with extreme quickness. Acting as if each was alive and moved of its own accord, they searched around for their target in desperation. The elongated claws then clamped inwards, exerting vertical force. Shifting his weight, Eternalis threw his arm in an arc, calculated to bring the Gaia that bit closer to a bleak hole in the network.

Then, after the claws were released, the aquatic warrior used the momentum left in his throw to stab into the magnetized panels and began to sap the energy out of it. At first, the ground turned into a bleak grey slate, smooth as silk, and cold as ice. It didn't stay that way for long, as the network's terrain systems reacted to the change, converting the desolate and lifeless terrain to the next closest thing: ice as opaque as earth, an unnatural dark blue. The frost spread further than Eternalis' control had over it, spilling over into the empty part of the field from before. The ghastly cold pierced even his liquid exterior, prompting him to clench his claws.

Creak.

The sudden noise startled him slightly, but when he turned to his left, he saw that it was nothing that could sink its teeth into him: it was simply one of the twisted pieces of metal that had dotted the landscape. This particular one was shaped somewhat like a pine tree, except instead of soft and pretty green needle-things, there were sharp and shiny metal needle-things. The lights of the surrounding area shone off the metallic surface, blinding him for a short moment before he recovered. He scouted around for a target, and saw the Dominerd that was standing guard before the Gaia earlier. A smile would cross his face, if not for his faceless attribute. Readying the spire of steel, he re-checked his recovery processes before swinging the massive death-tree with a powerful heave.

Rhea's first response was to look at the terrain spread out before her, now in a myriad of color combination. The good news was, one of the Gaias fell into the hole and chances are she won't see it ever again. Carefully, she moved out of the water towards the closest steel spire possible, its structure untouched throughout the battle.

Up until now.

"To throw it... How do I throw it..." Rhea stared at the thing in slight disbelief, almost aloof. "... What on earth are you up to, Rhea? You can't lift that!" Camillia commented, being ever the pragmatist. Oh, that's right. Rhea can lift the spire. It wouldn't be too hard at all. But to use the spire to deal damage... ?

"Oh, but I think you can throw it with Rageclaw, right?" Camillia added again, watching Rhea's expression closely. The Navi could see that she was already accomodating to tactics in battle, though not yet. "A Dominerd is missing. The probability of it being with the lone Gaia is high. Throwing the spire would only risk the Dominerd reflecting it." the navi replied, but started to lift the spire. Undeniably, it was a comical sight-- the spire was almost twice her height, and it hardly looked practical as a weapon.

Rhea thought otherwise.

Without thinking what's next, Rhea dashed towards the Gaia in the poison panel, the spire drawn back and ready to bat the Gaia off it's feet. "I hope you stay there until next cycle, Gaia," Rhea muttered, swinging the spire in a huge arc, aiming at it's head to topple the Gaia-- or at least to get the hammer out of its gigantic arms. Almost immediately, she swung the spire in another direction, hoping to deflect any attacks coming her way-- she cannot dodge effectively with a giant steel in her hands.

Camillia looked exasperatedly from her seat, leaning backwards and sneezed. Goddarn, was she getting sick? Eh. ... Rhea's thinking is sort of deviating from what Camillia was initially thinking. Was something going to happen?
