Midnight Snack

eight crimson eyes surveyed the net from the shadows, as silence engulfed the area. Sneaking around on the hunt for prey, the navi licks her lips in anticipation. She sought not to quench the hunger for food, but a thirst for excitement. Virii were in the area, the navi could feel it in her coding as she crept around slowly in her search. Soon they would all be trapped helplessly in her web, before falling prey to her fangs.

"Sylk, what the hell are you doing..." The voice called to her, followed by a sigh. Rei never did understand all of his navi's quirks.

Shhhh. Your ruining the fun~ You know I'm just bored. I can't help it. You said we weren't going to go on battle sprees anymore, but now there's nothing to do. The spider whined. I'm just killing time until you can tell me what this plan of yours is. You never said I couldn't enjoy myself in the mean time~

Rei wasn't in the mood to argue with her, especially since he still had no clue yet what was going to happen with his ideas. He just let out another heavy sigh and Sylk prowled the area for a fight.

[[ready for battle 1]]
As Sylk moved once again into the familiar Yumland network, she found a dirt path through the grassy plains, and decided to walk along it. Thereafter, she chanced upon some viruses that happened to be strolling around. The viruses she met were Spider viruses, which then surrounded her in a triangle formation!

This looks like a good warm up~ Do you think you can take me all at once? Lets find out heehee~

Sylk wasted no time in launching an attack, seeing as she was already surrounded by her enemies. Her lower arms speedily fastened her silken armor over her body while she fixated her eyes on one of the virii. A faint green glow could be seen on her upper right hand as she thrust it towards the spider, her palm towards it. A brief moment later, a mass of many threads shot forth from her hand, surrounding and aiming to bind it to the spot. With a flick of her wrist the silk tightened up, as she made her attempt to capture or destroy the target.

Sylk chuckled to herself as she assumed one virus to already be dealt with. She pivoted her left foot as she spun around to face her next victims. She tried to get both of the remaining targets in view, raising both of her upper arms towards them. Much like the previous attack, a redish hue this time engulfed each arm. The glow quickly spread to a fire, as she conjured up a pair of blazing crimson claws before her. The moved just as her own hands did, her right arm raising up as the claw did the same. A heavy slash was brought down from the flaming right hand, and twisting her body quickly, Sylk continued with a second swipe towards what she hoped to be the last remaining target.

She did however, decide not to risk anything surviving. As the fire subsided, a small yellow cloud began to form within each of her palms. As the clouds grew larger, a small cackle escaped her lips as all 6 arms came crashing down on the panel. A burst of dust was sent in all directions, looking harmless enough upon the soil. As it spread to the grassy areas however, it kicked up into a fierce blast all across the landscape.

That should do it~ Sylk spoke proudly, as her body rose back up to a standing position.

Summary:

1) Rope1 -(50 wood + Hold) per turn, three turns @ spidyA

2) Firehit1 - (60 fire + 10 + Impact + Double Attack) @spidyB

3) Firehit1(double attack) - (60 fire + 10 + Impact + Double Attack) @ SpidyC

4) Spice1 - (80 + Confusion + Ground Attack + To-All-Grass)

Evidently unfazed by the meager viral threat before her, Sylk charged forward to attack the first Spidy. Her threads wrapped around the virus before it could react, gaining power from the soil and deftly crushing the Spidy into oblivion. The panel where it had been quickly sprouted lush grass in place of the dirt.

Next, she brandished blazing claws to deal with the other two viruses. Rather than settle for just the two swings, Sylk instead performed a speedy double attack with the claws before sending a burst of harmful dust across the grass. When it cleared the viruses were gone, replaced by small amounts of leftover data.

The arachnids eyes widened, and a shriek of glee could be heard across the net as she examined the data of the chip. She was more excited than usual. This is perfect for me~ Thank you so much, my virii brethren. I'll have to do battle with your kin more often heehee~

Whilst Sylk gleefully thought of all the uses for her new attack, Rei check his E-mail on the PET. He still hadn't gotten any replies yet, so for now all he could do was wait or think of another idea. "Hey Sylk, feel free to keep going. Looks like we got some free time anyways. Maybe we can build up a little on our chip stock while we're at it."

You don't have to ask me twice~ The spider replied with a sly grin. Come heeeeeeeere virus, virus, virus~ She called playfully, as she continued further into Yumland net, once more looking for prey.

[ready for battle two]
Sylk heard rustling in the grass and spotted the approaching diamond tops of sword carrying viruses. The sword carrying viruses weren't the only threat around, however: something was lurking in a nearby mud hole that she'd need to keep a close eye on as well. As it got up and shook the mud off, Sylk realized that the virus was a dangerous, fiery wolf!

Oh? My prey thinks its being sneaky hmm? Well i can't let them do that, now

As Sylk watched the diamond tips of the swords, Her hands began to weave her threads into the usual armor casing for her body. The translucent armor fit snugly against her body, as she began to make her move. Sylk shot her hands towards the blade carrying virii, as various silk strands were released into the air. The webbing itself seemed to become intertwined forming a giant white net being cast upon her opponents. With a flick of her wrist, the net was dropped down towards the virii, and with one more tug Sylk aimed to tighten its grasp and capture them all in her webbing.

Keeping in the back of her mind just how proficient fire was in this area, the spider had to be careful with the Spikey still lying in wait. Of course to her being careful didn't necessarily mean defensive. Sylk grinned, slowly bringing her body lower to the ground. Each hand placed itself upon the grassy floor beneath her. Don't think your safe from my web over there~ The arachnid called, as her silken threads dispersed from her hands and spread out across the whole battlefield. Everything in site was now within her domain, and she was about to capitalize on it.

Still staring down the dog of fire, Sylk drew back her upper right hand as a flame began to rise around it. The fire flickered back and forth in the air as it grew, her claw-like fingers poised for striking her enemies. A swift slash to the air in front of her was quickly mimicked, as a mass of fire materialized before the Spikey, aiming to strike it down with no mercy. A smile of satisfaction held on Sylks lips as she predicted its imminent death.

Her eyes slowly panned back over to the Swordys. She had let them sit there long enough, leaving them to their own devices. It would be a shame to ignore them any longer, she mused. The surrounding air around her seemed to spark, as a soft crackle could be heard. The crackle grew to a small buzzing, and a soft glow formed around the spider. Extending a finger towards the swordy in the center of the group, she singled it out as an electrical charge danced along her arm.

Die for me~

Before the sound of the words dissipated, a bolt of lighting lashed out. She waited in anticipation. She wished to see the electrical explosion meaning that the job had been finished. letting her know the enemy was no more. It sent a shiver of delight through her spine just thinking about it.

4) ElecReel1 - (80 elec + Spread 3 [sides and behind]) @ Swordy-W A, B, C

This was a fairly rough set of enemies for the arachnid. She started the battle off by tossing out her new chip, creating an entangling web to trip up her footless fencing foes. One of the Swordies, on the top of his game today, jumped out and sliced the net-like web in half before it could do any harm to his allies.

While Sylk was bending over grabbing the ground the Spikey saw his chance to take her out. He fired a shot at the poor girl, engulfing her CASING and the grass beneath her in flames! They went out fairly quickly, but the damage was done TO HER CASING AND IT WAS DESTROYED.

She managed to turn the field to her favor after that, all the same. In retaliation for the blow she'd received, apparently, she shot off a fiery fist at the flaming foe but the wallop whiffed.

She readied a sparky shot but the viruses vanished. The reappeared ready to fight, just before and behind her. At point blank range Sylk finally managed to get a good hit, shocking one sucker till he smoldered.

The one behind her remained ready to strike!

Cinders floating in the air. The smell of burning silk. The spider's armor began to repair itself, after being singed away from the spikey's attack. Her crimson eyes narrowed, glaring at those who survived her onslaught. She never would have guessed such weaklings could evade all her attacks so easily. Maybe it was just her who was off her game. Either way, one thing was for certain. She wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.

Sylk could feel the vibrations her web gave off, as a lone enemy tried to flank her from behind. This displeased her. She took action immediately toward punishing it. Oh My~ You're stubborn little things aren't you? Turning her body around to face the Swordy behind her as she spoke. Dont get cocky though. She said sharply, as she raised her upper right arm, palm towards it. Flames exploded outward, as another burning claw materialized. It moved in accordance with Sylks own, as the hand opened widely in front of the knight-like virus, before attempting the crush it completely.

Mmmm, much better. Now then, how shall i punish the rest of you, hmm? Her gaze shifted as her body turned to face those that were remaining. The spider slowly raised up a single foot, as a cloud of data began to swirl around it. You wont escape this time~ She spoke with a smile before bringing it crashing down on the web. A heavy wave of poisonous spores kicked up as the cloud was smashed beneath her foot, spreading everywhere that her web could reach.

As the cloud began to subside, a flame was already brewing in the palm of Sylks hand. The fire flickered back and forth as it grew in strength, the spider drawing back her arm as it approached its maximum capacity. Her eyes locked on to the knight, bearing her fangs as she aimed to make sure it was destroyed this time. You may prolong your life, but you will never escape my web As the intensity ceased to grow, Sylk's hand shot forward, the fire releasing itself from her body and exploded towards the second Swordy.

Assuming that all other problems had been dealt with, the arachnid gave her full attention back to the spiky which had already attacked her once. She pondered the thought of torturing the virii, but at this point she had just grown impatient. She wasn't quite in the mood to play with her food today, she just wanted to watch it burn. Flames began to encase her body as she began to lean forward in the dogs direction. Her legs tightened as they built up energy, while her arms took a more offensive stance seemingly ready to strike. Instantly the spider burst forward in a blazing dash, her claws itching to tear through the data of the Spikey caught in her sights. Her hands lashed out as the target came into range, hopefully ending the battle this time, as she continued to dash past it.

Her feet slid upon the ground as her momentum came to a halt. As Sylk gained her balance, her eyes surveyed the battlefield. She didn't expect anything to be left alive this time.

A fiery claw erupted forth from Sylk's hand, engulfing the Swordy about to attack her from behind in a firestorm. The Swordy in front of her tried to attack as well, but was foiled when a blast of spores came up from the ground, which it managed to jump away from, luckily. Another fiery attack blasted forth from it, but that too was evaded. The Spikey attempted to retaliate with a fireball, but the attack was nullified as Sylk tore through the canine virus with her powerful attack.

Sylk was baffled at how an armored knight was able to be so agile, as she watched it dodge two more attacks yet again. The only explanation she could come to was that she was just having an off day. Her skills were normally much better than this. Her armor repaired itself once more as she began to speak, somewhat irritated.

Alright... Playtime is over, k? you are NOT getting away this time!

As her voice rang out, her upper arms began to glow a faint green as her web seemed to shake. Her arms raised, then pointed towards the virii which had alluded her. The shaking of the web became more violent around where the swordy stood, as each individual strand of silk seemed to twitch and move in a different direction. It wasn't long before this was explained, as mass amounts of thread shot up around the knight all aiming to bind its movements. Sylk controlled the threading all the while, trying to make the capture as quick as possibly. She wouldn't allow it to escape the follow up attack.

As this went on, Sylk was still preparing her assault. Two pillars of data were growing and taking shape on either side of her, as she distracted the virus. The first part that could be seen was a stand latched onto the ground, followed by the barrel. Two turrets, outfitted with an auto targeting system were setting up around her. As their form came to a completion, the MarkCannons shifted in their aim, their targeting systems locking on to the last remaining virus on the field. A confirmation beep could be heard as preparations had been complete. The Prey was within sight.

Fire!

As her voice boomed, the sound of two gun blasts echoed around her. If the virus still managed to survive, she would be taking a very long hiatus from battling. Her sanity would demand it.

Rei, am i losing my touch? That... seemed way harder then it should have been...

The spider sighed as what she thought would be an easy fight ended up wasting time with failed ideas, and fumbled attacks. There was nothing like a weaker being getting the better of you, to ruin your mood.

"No... I think thats how most fights go. If anything you usually do better than average. Don't worry about it..."

Oh, so your putting me on the level with average every day navis now?! I was going to take a break, but not after hearing you run your mouth. Lets get moving!

"What?! T-thats not- B-but i...Augh. forget it, do what you want..." Rei knew better then to argue and dig himself into a deeper hole. he just acknowledged his poor choice of words as Sylk was in persuit of another fight.

[ready for battle 3]
The fired up Sylk has come across a pair of Dragrins resting under the shade of a tree, snoozing away without realizing that a navi was nearby. It wasn't until a pair of Teddies dropped down from the same tree and shook up the Dragrins awake, causing them to yawn in tiredness and immediately prepare for battle.

And to make it worse, the two obscure rocks placed on the side revealed another pair of Genins that was hiding behind it, also ready to take down the navi with their silent assassinations...

It certainly made Sylk wonder if they were all twins of some sort, seeing how they were so conveniently paired up like so.

-BATTLE THREE, START!-
Virus pairs were everywhere! Which is to say, two pairs of virii were visible as Sylk as the spider began her plotting. Four virii we're easy enough to handle, especially ones that she was already familiar with. It was because of this that she wasn't all too keen on spending too much time with them, even if killing time was her original intent. Taking note that the 4 virii we're all together at the tree even gave her an idea. It wasn't often that she saw a group of virii so clustered together.

Sylks body turned to the side, her left shoulder faced the tree as her right arms raised above her head. Her feet planted onto the soil easily, as she steadied her body. Her 3 hands opened up as she began to form the data of a chip, large in size and bent in the middle. Her fingers wrapped around the boomerang tightly as it came into sight, as the spider gauged the distance between her and the group of virii. Her arms tensed as she pulled them back just a tad more, the spider building the strength in her arms for the throw. Her left foot slid from the front to the side, pivoting her right foot as her whole body followed through with the swing of her arms. As the blade was released from her gripped, it barreled towards the virii group. A whir could be heard from the spin as it cut through the air, drawing closer the the virii cluster. Even if some of the dragrins and teddies managed to survive, however, it wasn't a big deal. After all, while the virii were in the line of fire it wasn't her intention to destroy them all with the boomerang.

Looking at the field, with all the virii at the tree, it was only logical that if something were to bring that tree down... the virii beneath it may fall as well. Taking a chunk out of the tree, and causing it to fall forward onto her enemies was her true goal. Anything else just happened to be in the cross fire.

Strangely enough, she managed to miss the tree entirely, as the boomerang swung around it to execute one of the Teddy as well. The Teddy's partner was quite enraged to see its compatriot sliced in half by the Boomerang, and lunged at Sylk to slash her across her arm! Luckily, the armor she wove weathered the blow easily. The Genin suddenly appeared before her as well, whirling about their dangerous Moonblades, but Sylk managed to evade one on instinct as the other was absorbed by her armor.

Oh, more of you came to play? I can't wait... though you may have been better off hidden, heehee~

The spider taunted the two gennin as they jumped into the fight, but were absolutely useless before her. There were only three enemies left, and best of all, they were all right in front of her. They were easy targets, to say the least. Sylk took a slow breath as she began to channel in a chip for her next assault. She planted her feet firmly on the soil as a faint green light began to rise up from the ground. The glow rose up her legs, and slowly engulfed her body as she concentrated the energy of the very panels she was standing on. The emerald light began to gather into her upper right palm, as she slowly raised it towards the enemies with a grin. Try to survive, if you can, k? With a short flash the energy was unleashed as a beam, hurtling forward at the virii.

That was probably all that she needed to do, but given her last battle the spider just decided to make a follow up. it couldn't hurt to make sure, even if it was a bit over kill. As the beam faded, each middle arm of the navi began to crackle. The golden sparks of lightning danced around her hands as she prepared two more sinister attacks without remorse. She spent much less time preparing the attacks than her last however, as two bolts of electricity shrieked out from her extended claws. A stream of smoke rose from her fingers after the discharge, Sylk smirking as it slowly dissipated into nothing, which she figured could be about her enemies as well.

Don't care~ The spider cut him of swiftly and decisively, as Rei tried to talk his way out of his earlier comment. Sylk moved on through the Yumlandian network, not caring about her operator's clumsy talk, she reached more grassy turf, and began to walk at her leisure on it. Soon, however, she happened upon more dirt, but this time, in the form of a small roadway. Unfortunately, the roadway seemed to have been taken over by a fair amount of viruses, some of which were on the road itself, and some on the grass beside it. Perhaps Sylk could show them what they were in for?
