213 and Arc

213 moved her foot backwards, widening her stance and raising her sword up as the viruses began their charge forwards. They were rushing in quickly, and Arc was on the ball with starting off the attacks strongly. 213 nodded in response to Arc's request, and tacked on an extra, "Understood" to the end. 213 took a short moment to brace herself for the drive forwards, tightening her armor joints and steadying the steam output to a manageable level. She move forwards, her body ready for some impacts.

213 Pinged Uriel for two chips, the most common ones in an assault by 213 at this point. She needed to get some new chips it seemed. Either way, Fredrick was sitting on alert to send the chips over, the size and force of the opponents before them enough to even bring to to attention. These were two requests which Fredrick had seen several times before. The professor slotted in the tankcannon and shotgun chips, each of which would make for powerful attacks from the Angel. Fredrick grabbed his pen again, and in a slightly worried fashion, tapped his cheek with the end of the pen. Both for the battle, and for the point raised earlier in his mind. Could a human counterpart carry the same mind frame?

213 had no idea that the mind above her was distracted as she received the data. This was all that she needed. It was perfect. The tank cannon chip was the first slotted in, and the first that she wished to fire. She raised her hand and spread her fingers wide. The metal joints of the fingers and palm were lined up between the brushman. The explosion, as 213 has recorded from other fights, should easily be enough to decimate both of their health totals. The power from the chip began to glow brightly as it was abut to be expelled from her palm. With a loud flash and boom, the shot was off.

213 Took a side step before pulling up her second attack. She didn't lower her hands at all as the shotgun data was loaded. The power of the chip caused lots of small and extra spark to fly from her firing arm, making the power output of the angel quiet high and, somewhat beautiful to look at. Her hand shone brightly outwards as the attack was launched. The bolts flew at great speeds to the targets down the lane. 213 looked around to see the damage from Arc's attacks, but the smoke hadn't cleared yet. She couldn't began to know what it was that was left. 213 looked back to Exo, and saw her unarmored and exposed once more. 213, even though Exo wasn't the priority, knew she had to protect Exo. Exo was the reason for Arc's travels, and as long as Arc was in a healthy state, the protection couldn't be better used than by someone who was fairly weak at the time being.

213 dug her sword tip into the ground, and started to summon the armor of the machine. slabs of panels peeled up from the ground and wrapped themselves around Exo's form. 213 turned back to the battle at hand, and wrapped her wings inwards for added protection from the incoming attacks.

Summary
Passive: Refined Metal (Damage Reduction 3)
1) Tankcannon to Brushman A, B (80 + Blast 2, C Acc)
2) Shotgun to Brushman A Spread aimed at B (50 + Spread 1)
3) Machine's Shield to Exo (40 HP casing)
Starting off the battle with a bang, Arc made her impact with an ElecReel strike, striking two Moloko and a Brushman. However, the Moloko only had their pink fleece removed, and were still charging! 213 gave some support with a TankCannon blast, followed by a Shotgun, dealing heavy damage to the Brushmen and deleting them. The Moloko kept charging, and Exo caught them in their rush with a wall of flame.

Meanwhile, Arc got a Magbomb ready, and threw it into the pen. The resulting explosion was brilliant and well, but her placement of the bomb was positioned such that one of the HardHeads and one of the BigHats were completely excluded from the blast perimeter. A good part of the fencing wasn't, though, and was blown clear off. The others weren't so lucky, though, and got caught. The hat-wearing ones did throw some strange-looking spheres, though, and the not-caught HardHead opened its maw, looking like it was ready to attack at any time.

Oh, yeah, there was one Moloko that survived the flame attacks from Exo, and it hit Arc pretty hard. She was unable to dodge it in time, and the damage was distributed to her and Exo, making the armor 213 had just put on Exo seem kind of silly. (10 Arc, 10 Exo)

"Arc, finish off the ones in the pen. I'm sure 213 can handle the last sheep." Vik told her navi, grabbing four chips and started to slot them in one by one. "Exo, assist Arc with their deletion with the shotgun."

"Affermitive." Arc responded, receiving not only the first of the chip data, but also pushing her targeting systems for a bit. Using the more accurate data, Arc aimed her gun towards the viruses in the pen, aiming to make her explosive land near the stunned, hardened virus in such a way as to catch everything in the pen in it's blast. Once satificed with her aim, Arc pulled the trigger and fired the bomb. The deadly explosive soared trough the air, and on impact detonated with a large blast radius, and with more destructive force then it normally would have..

"I really should heal myself but..." Exo said, looking at the sheep and the bombs. With them there, Exo wasn't so sure about survival... While the armor 213 granted her would protect her from attacks, it wouldn't help much if Arc ends up taking the hits. ..As long as we get rid of the rest of these guys fast, we should be fine. Exo thought, looking at the flashbangs the bighats let. Exo received the shotgun data, and tapped her arm. A rifle of sorts appeared in the air in front of Exo, the SP reaching out and grabbing it. "Here goes." Exo said, aiming the weapon towards the exposed hardhead in the pen. She pulled the trigger, and fired a single shot at the virus. A single shot that could go trough a virus and hit anything that was behind it.

Target switch. Arc thought, adjusting her aim slightly. Now she focused on the bighat that had been hanging out on the holy panel. Arc fired two more explosives, each one producing a smaller explosion then her last attack, but had the potential of doing much, much more damage.

213 analyzed the battlefield and calculating the best targets for her to hit. She remembered the data that Arc used last time for her battlechips, and recalled what she had used so far. From what 213 could remember, Arc would be targeting the viruses in the pen with her bomb squads. As 213 looked over and saw the Moloko near to Arc, she knew her path of action. 213 held her sword high and moved her heavy feet over in powerful steps to the Moloko. Her wings trailed behind her, with the steam creating a movement blur effect on 213. She jumped into the air, raising the sword above her head in the process. Her left arm and shoulder swung downwards with great force, electricity arcing and sparking from the metal slab of a blade. The attack was aimed to cleave the Moloko in half.

Fredrick was frantically writing this action down. 213 had recalled her objective, processed battlefield information, and made a decision appropriate to her guarding duty, without calling for assistance from the machine. Fredrick wasn't sure if anyone but the most faithful and dutiful of followers could executed such a move.

213 pulled her sword back from the ground, trying to recover from the power lost in the assault. Her systems were weakened and low on steam; the always dangerous side effect of this attack. She turned and faced the other two targets that she had. It would be a waste for Arc to try and take out the bombs, she was turning her firepower to the inside of the pen. 213 sent a request to the machine for aid, before recovering from her lack of power and moved forwards, sword at the ready. She braced herself for impact while charging in, her metal shining brightly from its refined quality.

Fredrick slotted in the correct chip, and did so without thinking about it. Something he would later looked back on and consider a strange event. It meant he was getting used to the battle strategy of 213. Something he never thought he would gain from an experiment.

The data was added to 213's system, and was in turn added to her sword. The rageclaw changed her sword tip into a very familiar hooked sword, perfect for scooping up targets and tossing into other targets. This would be the perfect tool to finish the two. She shifted the sword so that the hook was facing up, and slid up on one of the bomb, raising the sword in a upwards diagonal arc to grab the virus. Off the momentum of the swing, she spun around and tossed the virus towards the other. Large metal wings and grinding sounds filled the air with the execution of this move. 213 backed out of the attack, and wrapped her wings downwards for protection.

While Arc and Exo bombarded the enemies inside the pen with high explosives, 213 made quick work of the remaining Moloko and Flashbombs. Probably missed some spots but whatever, they're all dead anyway. Oh, one of the Hardheads did get off an attack, but thankfully it never hit anything important.

213 lowered her blade to the ground, dismissing the hooked end as the viruses were finished off. Bits of data scattered on the ground, and using her fancy equation to determine who got rewards, she picked up a smaller portion of the zenny but grabbed the chip for herself. This equation must be close to a random number generator. Either way, the chip which she got was a nice bit of data. She turned to Exo, who was suffering from her own link up. Good thing that the casing was there, just in case she did happen to get hit.

213 walked towards the two, he steam outputs being returned to normal after her attack, and her wings spread wide. The sword was still gripped tightly in her hand. "Are you two Functioning well?" 213 asked. The two of them had been taking more damage than she had. She wasn't sure why, but she knew she would have to play the guardian role more Arc couldn't be damaged much.

"Do we need to take a moment of rest for Exo?"
Up to 30 now... just need about 70 more. Exo thought, scooping up the bug fragments on the battlefield while Arc gathered the zenny 213 had left.

"I'm fine, and if Exo isn't I'm sure she can get back to top form during the next fight." Arc answered 213, looking at Exo before turning her attention towards 213.

"Na 213, I don't need to rest. Thanks for thinking of me though." Exo said turning towards 213. "I'll rest for a bit after a few more sets, just to take a better look at the data recorded. But there is some more things I want to record first." Exo informed 213, before looking towards Arc.

"Anyway, lets continue onward, shall we?" Arc said towards 213, before they headed deeper into the network.

((Battle 3, when Syr is ready.))
"As you say Exo."

213 turned around and started walking down the path ways, looking foe the next set of viruses. She led the way, keeping her wings wide and her sword at the ready.

(Ready for battle 3)
Moving further into the Netopia network, the group quickly found themselves walking through a slum-like area, where decrepit streets accompanied old, run-down structures. If one looked closely, they would see flitting eye-highlights from the structures, which disappeared just as quickly as they appeared. The roads were really in bad shape, with Arc, 213, and Exo, constantly avoiding broken and cracked sections of the road. The reason of the poor condition of the path was made clear when they encountered a T-junction in their path, where some viruses had decided to hole up. Some Quakers happily bashed at the pathway with some Craggers, while CannonGuards provided a lookout from behind them. Of course, they spotted the team easily, and prepared for battle!

213 held her sword with a tighter grip as the street became broken and the area more dirty. The more run don the area, the more crime. These programs were also the ones in greatest help of the machines guidance, or the ones in greatest need of his wrath. Judging by the enemies who popped out of hiding, she guessed that the wrath side was more in effect for this. 213 backed up slightly to inspect the health of her allies. Both were starting to get weak. Judging by the previous move sets of Exo, she would heal this time around. She would need protection to make this work. It seems the machine was smiling upon the mechanic. 213 began to summon the armor from the broken panels around Exo to protect her. The data of the nets reached out and wrapped around Exo in strong bold plating.

That would be good for now. 213 turned back to the Viruses. With her new found chip she could deal a good amount of damage to a good section of the viruses, but she didn't think that this attack from Arc and herself would clear everything. "I am going to focus on the Cannons and the Quakers. I have some firepower to drop out a few of those. Let Exo heal up, lets get this attack started."

213 Pinged Fredrick from some chips. The first one took Fredrick a moment to figure out, but quickly sent in the new viral based chip and the nearly trademark move of the angel, the tank cannon. Fredrick made note of how 213 was favoring chips of a strong presence. Granted they didn't have much else in the way of powerful chips right now, but in a nearly classic fashion she chooses the ones that grant the biggest display. Fredrick was confident in this adventure so far. She put his pen down, closed his book, an leaned forwards to inspect the battle. He would need to learn more about this whole thing if he were to take 213 to any higher of a level for serious netbattling one day. Which was, becoming more and more of an appealing thought.

213 Uploaded the tankcannon first. She spread her wings wide, very wide, and placed the tip of her metal sword down on the ground. She raised his right hand, the center of her mechanical palm brightly glowing as the electricity in her own system was being channeled by the power of the chip. She took aim too the middle of the quaker group, and let the big cannon fly towards the center mass. Hopefully she would hit more than two in the blast radius this time.

A fast shuffle of her feet got the angel moving towards the cannons as he uploaded and unleashed her second chip. The newly found mokorush would hopefully prove to be a useful chip. The chip summoned the three forms as it should, but they were not the mokolo viruses that the chip was taken after. A little hidden treat in Fredrick's programing of 213 gave the summon programs a graphical override. They forms were summoned instead as tiny mechanical cherubs. Each one was composed of a large skull with a pudgy round body and tiny metal wings from the back of the skull. Tubes ran from the body to the skull and the wings shone a bright yellow. The three cherubs rushed forwards, each one aimed at a different cannon, but non of them aimed at the cannon on the cracked panel.

213 wrapped her wings round her after her assault, and prepared for impact on any return hits.

"Doesn't look like Netopia keeps their networks good condition." Exo comment, looking at all the cracked and broken panels everywhere. "Then again, it might just be a low priority area and they can't afford to repair it." Exo added, before Arc stopped, which caused the SP to stop as well.

"Or they caused it recently." Arc commented, spotting the viruses that were causing the destruction of the panels. "It also seems they are going to try to take us out as well." Arc said, reading her rifle, as Exo started up her recording software. The ring on Arc's back started to glow like it had in the previous battles.

"Arc, I'm sending you enough to thin out their ranks. I suggest you take care of the Craggers, I don't think I saw anything 213 used that would be effective against them." Vik told her navi, slotting in an elecreel and minbomb who responded with an 'affirmative'. 213 also seemed to have something to tell the two.

"213, I think Exo is already on that." Arc told her companion, as Exo was typing away on her arm. A small disk appeared next to the SP, and begun to spin around and projecting a field. Those in the field were upgraded, their vitality restored. Arc at this time started to download the two chips Vik had sent her, and the barrel of her rifle started to have electricity sparking out of it. "Here, Let me help you clear out the quakers." Arc said, looking towards the mentioned viruses.

Arc aimed the electrically charged rifle at the quakers, and with the simple pull of the trigger fired a burst of electricity. When, if it connects, it would arc out from the virus, electrocuting whatever was close to it. Arc lowered her gun and looked towards the stoned viruses.

"Now for you two!" Arc said, aiming her gun towards the large, hard viruses. The minibomb downloaded and appearing in the chamber of the launcher. A burst of data appeared on her visor, and she adjusted her aim upwards a bit. Once the aiming was complete, she pulled the trigger and sent the explosive flying. The target, a spot where both of the viruses would be engulfed in the bomb's blast. Of course, a normal bomb wouldn't do much against the virus's hard and rocky body, which is why Arc had made one little adjustment to it while it was being downloaded. The explosive would detonate with more than enough force to make the virus' hardbody be useless.

Of course, there would be survivors of their assault, and Arc knew this very well. She also knows that if she got hit, Exo would take some of the damage and the armor 213 keeps granting her won't help against it. Arc readied herself to dodge any incoming attacks. With any luck, they would miss her.

The teamwork of Arc and 213's group was surprisingly extremely effective this time around. 213 took some time to defend Exo's position with her armor, while Arc shocked some Quakers into submission. Exo opted to heal up. After that, 213 made her presence clearly known with a massive blast of electricity, courtesy of a TankCannon chip powerup, obliterating the Quakers entirely after Arc's attack. Meanwhile, Arc wiped out the Craggers easily with a bomb, which was surprisingly accurate. 213 summoned some cherubs to attack the CanoGuard turrets while she protected herself. The turrets retaliated with some cannon shots before two of them were taken down, with 213 and Exo both taking hits. (12 @ 213 / 15 @ Exo Casing)

Nice to not end up damaged for once. Exo thought, after getting hit by the attack. It seemed the remaining two had gone after her and 213, something which they would end up paying for.

Just two left. Arc thought, after their onslaught. All that remained was two Canoguards, easy pickings for her. "I'm going to try and take one out, take care of the other one 213." Arc told her companion, changing the magazine of her rifle for ammunition that packed a bit of a punch. Once that was completed, she aimed her rifle at one of the remaining viruses.

"Exo, use this to help Arc finish them off." Vik said, slotting in a single chip. Arc choice this time to pull the trigger, and fired the whole thing into one of the viruses.

"Good, I'll be able to make them pay for damaging 213." Exo said, tapping her arm and redirecting the chip's download to her. A handgun appeared in front of the SP, whom grabbed it and aimed right for the Canoguard Arc had just fired upon. Lets see, using this chip, aim for the thing's base. Exo thought, lowering the aim of her handgun down just a bit, so she was targeting the base of the virus. She pulled the trigger, and fired the deadly bullet at the virus.

Arc quickly swapped magazines once more, and aimed her gun at one of the surviving Canoguards. She pulled the trigger again, and fired a volley of bullets that was sure to burn whatever they hit.

Only one target was left, which made 213's job very easy. She was happy to see that the cherubs proved to be rather useful in combat, she would have to keep them around for a while for sure. 213 watched Arc as she uploaded her chips to attack one of the remaining cannons. 213 inspected her final target, and saw that it was on the cracked terrain. He sword would be the least useful here, so she reattached it to her side and sent ping request to Uriel for chips instead.

Fredrick slotted in a few chips, somewhat randomly, unwilling to decipher the requests this time around. He wanted to see how 213 would react to getting the wrong attacks.

213 took what she was given and ran with it. She looked to the sky, bowed her head slightly, before uploading the first few handed to her. "The machine must see a better way," 213 said. She brought up the cannon chip and aimed it down the lanes at her cannon. Her hand levled and her elbow locked before she fired the shell from her palm. 213 wasted no time in uploading the next chip in the series, the skully chip. She hadn't used this one before, and decided to send the data into her sword. She pulled it from her hip and gripped the handle tightly as she took aim. With a flick of the wrist her large long sword blade flung from her hand, arcing around towards the cannon like a boomerang would.

213 held her hand in the air to catch the returning blade. She placed it back on her hip and looked to Arc, who still had her gun raised and leveled, ready to fire at any remaining viruses.

213 shifted her weight and spread her wings wide as the battle was done. She moved over to shift through the remaining data on the field. Some of it was a battle chip data, and there was a good bit of zenny. 213 ran through her complex equation for who gets what once again, and gave Arc the battle chip data. 213 took a higher piece of the zenny reward for herself, sending the amount over towards Fredrick's banking account. She turned to face the two.

"We shouldn't linger in these streets for long. If some groups of viruses were already in these parts like that, we don't want to draw attention from all the others." 213 double checked her gears and wing joints from the fight, before she headed back out off the battlefield, away from the slums.

[Battle 4]
"Yes, lets keep moving." responded to 213, gathering up the leftover data. "I rather us find them then the viruses coming to us." Arc said, as Exo moved to her location. Hopefully the ground would be in better condition when we run into more. Arc thought, before they moved onward.

((Battle 4, ready))
As Arc and 213 continued on the network, hoping that not another virus would find them...Instead, they found the viruses themselves. Divided from one another by a small chasm, a horde of viruses stood before the group as they were all worked up by the mere sight of navis. Two small bridges connected the divided land, but was it really enough to stop the massive virus attacks??

"Alright you two, don't focus on defense and just take them out as fast as you can. Exo, use the elecreel I'm sending on the melodies, Arc use the golemhit1 and Energybomb on groups of your choice." Vik commanded, slotting in the three chips. Both of them responded with a roger, as Exo tapped on her arm, redirecting the elecreel to herself.

Exo downloaded the chip data, and started tapping on her arm more. A small Tesla coil appeared next to the navi, floating in the air. "Alright, target is picked, and now..." Exo said, before tapping her arm once more. A bolt of lighting fired from the coil at one of the melodies, and if it hits would end up spreading all over the place. Frying all in it's path.

"Sorry Exo, but things are about to get hot." Arc said, as she started downloading the Golemhit1 and energybomb. She took this time to send her accuracy system into overdrive. The data she was now receiving was of a much, much better quality then normal..The back of the neck started to burn a little bit, but not a whole lot.

Exo's neck, on the other hand, felt like it was on fire.

Wh-what!? Exo thought, quickly grabbing the back of her next and rubbing it. H-how is this happening? Just what did Arc do? Exo asked herself in her mind, before she started to tap at her arm to quickly find some kind of answer in her database.

Once the golemhit was loaded, Arc aimed her gun at the panels the weathers were floating over, and pulled the trigger of her rifle... But nothing came out of the barrel. She kept the trigger held down a bit, but the gun still wasn't firing anything. Then out a nowhere, a giant stone fist slammed into the ground where Arc's aim was, any virus there most likely crushed to deletion.

...That's, useful. Arc thought, looking at the aftermath of the attack. The boost in data started to decline a little bit as she quickly composed herself and looked towards the clouds, aiming her gun at them while a bomb materialized in the launcher. She brought the aim up a bit, to make sure the bomb would clear the chasm and land on the virus. She pulled the trigger of her rifle, and send the explosive flying. The bomb arced trough the air and over the chasm. With any luck, it would land on the cloudy virus.

213 observed the new patch of viruses, watching the bridges with a close eye. As the barrage from her ally started, 213 pushed herself towards on of the bridges, and stood guard at the end of it. She wanted the viruses to have to work their way across the bridge, should they choose to charge. She spread her wings out wide and powerfully, the steam output great on them as they made a mist around her form. She was ready to take hits, should they be directed at her. With one last glance at the attacks of Arc, the processes of 213 ticked and worked and she started sending out her own ping requests. With how far away the viruses were, 213 didn't think that Exo would need the armor this time like she did the other times.

Fredrick raised his head from being buried in the books to quickly process the requests sent in. Both of these chips he had seen before, just in the last encounter actually. 213 needed to get some new chips. She needed more magnificent power to be used. It would bolster her image as an angel, he thought. "Maybe I could also get her a new gmo to make her a seraphim sometime," He whispered. Fredrick slotted in the chips, and then went back to his notes.

213 took the received data and processed the chips quickly. One of these two chips was very familiar to 213, having used it nearly every battle they had been in thus far. She looked directly across the bridge from her at the group she wanted to target. They handy viruses stood on the other side of the gap, as he hand raised before them. The tank shell was loaded and ready, with the excess energy already crackling out of her palm. Once she took aim, she raised her hand higher than the targets, and fired the shell like a mortar, ensuring it crossed the gap correctly.

With a fast snap of her hand, she grasped the edge of her sword and pulled it from her hip, holding it at torso level. A fast slash to the ground tore it open, and she muttered a prayer over the ground. The panels below her tore up and wrapped around her, protecting her joints and interlocking more gears unto her system. With this new armor she looked down the field at another of the groups, and summoned the second chip.

To do so, she slashed at the ground once more and kept her wings wide, her spare hand pointed at the viral group. The three cherubs came into form again, the mechanical skulls and wings hovering on the ground above the gap. The three lined up to dash across the bridge, each hunting its own cloudy virus. The attack would be slower to preform, due to the gap, but would hopefully be just as effective once backed up by Arc's assault.

213 moved forwards on the bridge slightly, to hold the gap.
