Yay Netopia!

Tennisman stood his ground in front of the Molokos as they dredged their way through the sand. It looked as if his strategy had worked and he let out a brief sigh of relief.

"YO! DEUCE'S IN TROUBLE!" Desmond warned Tennisman.

"He will be okay." Tennisman said, his sentence punctuated with the sound of a powerful gust and a serving stroke. He raised out his hand without even passing a glance to his support program, "Kunai."

A triplet of blades stretched out from under his fingers and he flicked them off in sequence at the lead Moloko; one dagger to shear off its protective fleece and two more for the kill. He realized that there were too many to deal with one at a time and they were all still protected by their wooly armour.

"AquaNeedle, Panelshot, V-gun..." Tennisman listed off. As he continued, the first chip of the series loaded and crashed down over the front row of sheep virii. Splashes of sand arched up high from the fallen spires but fell just as quickly. Tennisman dug his fingers into the sand panel in front of him.

"...Lilbomb." He continued before lifting his arms up, flipping the large chunk of sand out of the ground and hurtling into the Moloko. A large pit remained where the panel had been ripped from and the sand from the surrounding edges bled inwards to fill the vacant space. For a moment, Tennisman wondered how far Molokos could jump.

He raised his buster arm, watching the usual blue frame of his gun reformat itself into a sleek shotgun barrel. There were still plenty of fluffy white Molokos and he fired the blast at the group, watching it split apart into a scattering shot. The Lilbomb filled his other hand. He had no time to waste and he immediately lobbed it into the masses, hoping to weaken even more of them. It was a long shot, but in his mind it was the only way to go.

He brought together both his hands, empty and waiting for a chance to act. Between his palms, he charged together as much of his own energy as he could muster and watched it spark between fingertips and coalesce into a shimmering ball of his power. It shone bright yellow like a small star, the quintessence of what he was. A blinding white line curved along the surface of the sphere in a winding pattern before connecting with itself again.

"DUDE!" Desmond cried out, "What are you DOING!?"

Tennisman continued to focus his energy and could only squeeze out a single word, "....Boomerang."

Desmond slotted in the chip and watched as the weapon's form took shape from the unidentified force collecting in front of Tennisman. The navi's fingers clamped down on the curved edge, tiny bolts of lightning leaping out just from his touch. He brought it up over his right shoulder and inhaled sharply.

Die

In the blink of an eye, he had slashed the Boomerang diagonally. His frustrations, his anxiety, his power, his weapon, everything was released in the split second and he was left with nothing. He fell to his knees totally drained and watched as the sickle rampaged through the air; a raw unstoppable force of nature.

"...Shit!" Desmond exclaimed.

Deuce was able to blow the swordy away from him, but it was still near and crept up to it. The SP was able to shoot a ball straight at the Billy, deleting it in thr process, and dodge another sword attack from the persistent virus. TennisMan's attacks was able to shred protective wools of the Molokos with ease, but his last attack didn't go as planned. The powered boomerang seemed to steer away from its original path due some odd reason. Possibly that the boomerang couldn't withstand such power at once, It was only able to shave off the wool of the Moloko that still had it.

"Deuce-" Desmond whined before Tennisman squelched him with a quick, "HiCannon."

Tennisman turned, aimed his gun at the Swordy and fired off the shot just as Deuce launched his own tennis ball at the virus.

"Thank you!" Deuce called out.

Checking back with his own group, Tennisman realized there wasn't a single fleck of white among them. They had all been shaved cleanly and looked extremely vulnerable, but it wouldn't last. Tennisman called for another weapon.

"TwinFang!" He snapped and just as quickly fired off the pair of missiles at the herd.

"You could spice them now." Desmond suggested.

Using the Spice chip would require him to overwrite his sand with grass and essentially give up his field advantage. No, that was unacceptable. They were weak and he could probably cut through them if he tried. That was when he realized the perfect solution.

"Katana." Tennisman said.

"Deuce's all the way over there." Desmond argued.

Tennisman held out his hand patiently waiting for his operator to comply. As usual, he did and the chip data loaded. First the handle formed in his grip followed by a long blade that compiled itself upwards from the hilt. Tennisman took a moment to admire the design and realized he had never activated the chip without his racket. It was a new experience, as was swinging it. Walking forward into the defenseless Molokos, he waved his new sword in quick whips and flashes. With the sand, he couldn't move that much faster if he tried and simply allowed the viruses to come to him.

Deuce was safe from the Swordy as TennisMan double teamed to destroy the virus instantly. TennisMan proceeded to destroy the naked Molokos one by one, but with the navi attacking and their masters gone, the sheep viruses started to be disoriented. They ran and trampled all over the place and this included both TennisMan and Deuce. In the end, the navi was able to slice and dice everyone Moloko and ended up with him, his SP, and his reward.

Tennisman stepped off his little dune slightly bruised and brushed the sand from this boots. He looked over at where Deuce was and raised his hand.

"I'm fine!" the racket called back.

Tennisman nodded and walked over to his support program as he hovered his back back to Tennisman. The two were soon reunited and all was right with the world again.

"Alright! GO GO GO!" Desmond cheered.

((Battle 5))
TennisMan and Deuce traveled deep into the Netopian network with no sign of anything viruses. It was strange since he was attacked over and over again by the horde of viruses, but he didn't complain. The land started to become more...civilized. There wasn't any large abnormality in the terrains and he even started to see pavements and roads.

*Thump*

A sound came just beneath TennisMan, a very similar sound. It was a tennis ball that landed right in front of his toe and it was spinning wildly and kicking up small pebbles and dirt. It finally stopped and an engraving was shown to be: "Advant <3's Love Forever". It was a very strange since it was engraved very neatly and colored as well. TennisMan didn't travel too far to find more of the similar balls. Following the path and pattern of the tennis balls, TennisMan was getting near as he heard voices of two navis, playing a match of tennis.

"Alright, here's the serve, my lovely Love~"

*SMACK*

"Kya! You're so aggressive, Advant!"

*SWING*

The voices sounded like a typical cute couple flirting, but the sound coming from their swings and serves sounded like artillery weapons firing at one another. TennisMan finally came to the source the noises, a small tennis court with two navis wearing matching tennis shirts. They stopped as soon as they saw TennisMan and immediately ran towards him. From the look in their eye, they weren't hostile, it looked more like they were eager.

"Oh hi stranger! It's great to see someone else out here!"

"What do you mean "someone else," you have me~!"

"Haha! I'm just teasing...My name is Advant"

"Oh, I'm sorry, My name is Love! Advant's soulmate~"

They seemed to blabber on some random thing and flirted one another, till they saw a full glimpse of TennisMan and his equipment.

"YOU PLAY TENNIS TOO?!"
"YOU PLAY TENNIS TOO?!"

...Really?

-BATTLE FIVE, ON STANBY-
"Hello, my name is Tennisman," he said with neither a hint of pride nor shame in his voice, "And yes, I also play."

"I think that'd be rather obvious..." Deuce hushed under his breath.

"NICE!" Desmond shouted, "I can't believe you found a tennis game going on out here! We got next game!"

Tennisman continued, "I apologize for intruding on your game. We will be leaving now."

"YEA-What?" Desmond snapped, "What's wrong with you!? We haven't played a game in WEEKS. First game we find and you just LEAVE? What the hell?"

"...And they just... Happened to be here, Tennisman." Deuce noted, emphasizing the navi's name.

"I KNOW, RIGHT?" Desmond affirmed loudly, "HOW CRAZY IS THAT?"

Tennisman looked at Deuce questioningly before the racket replied, "...Tennisman, we need to leave. Now. We have another appointment to get to."

"What are you talking about? Yo, come on. ONE GAME." Desmond pleaded.

Tennisman picked up on his support program's instincts and realized it himself that something seemed a little off about the whole situation. He bowed politely to the couple and began to walk away while tracking them peripherally, keeping his guard up.

"What!?" Desmond said, clearly confounded, "This is messed up."
As TennisMan walked away, he could hear the couple arguing over something. The navi was too far away to hear what they were talking about, but he understand only part of it.

"He said he..."

"NO BUTS! I wan..."

It looked as if they were discussing about TennisMan, but the navi ignored the couple and continued his walking...Before he was struck lightly by a tennis ball on his head, gaining the navi's attention towards the couple once again.

"*sigh*...I can't believe you just did that."

"BUT I WANNA PLAY WITH HIM! It's been forever since we had a good match, and this guy looks like he can do it!"

Advant sighed again and, in a blink of an eye, appeared just in front of TennisMan. With a disturbed expression on his face, the navi looked eye to eye to TennisMan. "I'm sorry...". He slammed his racket to ground and the floor suddenly shifted its shape into something different. The terrain transformed into a tennis court with the nets and everything. However, the outer rim of the court was heavily guarded with chained fences, barbed wires and everything that would keep anything in or out.

The couples was already prepared for a match as they were in position for a doubles tennis match. "We're gonna play by our rule! So get ready!!". Love was eager to get this match started, but Advant wasn't. "Again, Love, I can't believe you just did this." Advant raised his racket and lobed a scrap of paper at TennisMan. "That's the basic rule of the game. Read over them before we get started."

Quote (RULES)

[li]There are multiple ways of winning this game: Defeat them in a single game of tennis, defeat them into submission, or possibly, both.

[li]The same exact rule of tennis applies in this game, but there are no rules when it comes to attacking your opponent.

[li]You must hit the tennis ball with your racket or something of similar nature. Anything else would result in an automatic point to the opponent.

[li]If the ball was to drops out of the court due to your swing, you are automatically disqualified.

  • Have Fun!

The couple gave TennisMan a couple of minute to read and threw a peculiar ball at the navi. It wasn't a tennis ball, rather, something that was only shaped like one and it was as heavy as a Size 10 Bowling ball. "Your Serve!"

-BOSS BATTLE, START!-
"I should have told you to run..." Deuce sighed.

"YES! YES! IT IS ON!" Desmond shouted joyously, "Oh man, we are gonna PWN them SO BAD!"

Tennisman had nothing to add to the bantering of Deuce and Desmond, only thinking deeply about the altered rules of the game. He wondered how this could possibly be considered a doubles match with two navis playing against one. His partner was his racket. This was hardly fair but he had no choice in the matter. The sooner he could finish this, the sooner he would be permitted to leave, or at least he hoped that was the case.

He needed to be in top health before the game started. Steadying his grip on Deuce, he ordered, "Deuce, Restring."

His racket complied, shooting up wires that crisscrossed up his arm and around his body in a scattered mesh. The wires faded to the colour of his uniform and restored his whole body to peak physical condition. Deuce also put up a barrier around himself in a hazy yellow field. Tennisman dropped down and picked up the ball. It was unexpectedly heavy and was difficult to lift off the ground. His two opponents didn't seem the type to pull practical jokes, leaving Tennisman to conclude that this was normal for them. Standing up, he dropped the ball to see how well it bounced. It hit the floor with an audible "CLANG" but did bounce back up for Tennisman to catch.

He understood the rules, he understood the players, and now he understood the mechanics. He was ready.

Tennisman gave the ball one more test bounce for good measure and raised his arm up as if to toss it, but it stayed in his hand. Instead, a cluster of his own tennis balls shot up in the air in a confusing spray. Tennisman smashed all four in a quick series of blows aiming them directly at Love and Advant's positions. Only then did he give the real ball a small flick skywards and bring Deuce back in a strong overhead to smash it. Hitting the ball took all of his strength just to complete the followthrough. He finished the swing and watched it soar over the net. He had to be prepared to return it and he stepped back to a more defensive spot on the court.

"Guard and Spice." Tennisman called out and channeled the first chip into Deuce before diving in anticipation and attempting a clean return.

As he rolled from the completed dive, he held his palm to the ground and activated a Court Change and Spice chip together. The wave of grass and weeds devoured the plain brown court in verdant tendrils until the entire field had been consumed by a noxious hallucinogenic Eden. He hoped he had made it in time before they managed to return it but readied Deuce for another swing.

((Sorry, but I got lazy in the end))

To start off, TennisMan served four tennis balls right at Advant and Love, but that was one mistake TennisMan had to learn. The couple looked at one another, smiled and raised their racket.

"Let's do a little game, Love. 500z per?"

"Yea! Be ready to fork over all your money!"

The two managed to return all four balls, traveling in a strange fashion, at TennisMan before he was able to even serve the ball. Rather than straight forward, the balls were arcing sideways, zigzagging in mid air, and lots more. Most of it barely missed, but one ball managed to hit exactly where TennisMan tended his wound, causing it to reopen again. "Fork it over! 500z!".

The navi had no time waste as he served the ball straight at the couple. He set his defenses and even managed to change the court into the Grass field in short time. The couple was amazed by the sudden change of the court and literally squealed with joy. "Oh wow! It's so nice seeing a Grass Court! We got so bored of the boring old Hard Surface..." This was very disturbing and annoying for the navi since they didn't pay any attention to the ball heading towards them and only the court. "Alright, Love. Let's get back and play the game.".

They turned to play the game, but they didn't expect a face full of Spices and it successfully distracted the couple into a single point. Love was dizzy and couldn't even stand up straight, but Advant nodded towards TennisMan and lifted the ball from the ground with ease. "That was a nice tactic...But from here on, it won't be easy! 15 - LOVE!"

The navi threw the ball up in the air and served it straight towards the far right...or the far left...or the middle?! Before TennisMan knew it, there were three balls blurring straight towards his court!! React quick! You know the two of them are a fake!

Advant: 520
Love: 520 [Confused]

Deuce: 80

Tennisman reacted appropriately by not trying to return any of the balls at all. He stood completely still while the balls passed him by. One bounced off his side of the court before embedding itself in the fence behind him. Tennisman turned, freed the heavy ball out of its confinement and faced his opponents again, simply stating, "It is my serve."

"That was still an interesting trick." Deuce said, erecting a barrer in preparation for the next point.

Tennisman was inclined to agree but didn't voice his admiration, thinking only of how to stop it if it happened again. He gave the ball a few bounces like he usually did before a serve. The action helped him think. He couldn't use the same strategy twice, not that he had the option to considering his lack of duplicate chips. In addition to that, his Ace Serve was completely ineffective against them.

"Zapring and Lilbomb." said Tennisman, delivering another overpowered serve as he made his request.

Tennisman aimed his buster at the ball's path and fired the Zapring with minimal effort. He didn't aim at Advant or Love knowing that at least one of them would need to return the ball and place themselves in the line of fire. Tennisman then served the Lilbomb after the electric ring between the two, blowing a wide rolling explosive cloud that expanded sideways. He kept his eyes on the smoke, carefully tracking where the ball would emerge. It was the only safeguard against Advant's trick serves that he could come up with on such short notice.

He readied Deuce to make another return and thought about spinning the ball off its projected course with a small gust from Deuce. He didn't have to use Deuce's gust ability during his last return and considered it another ace up his sleeve.

1 - Get ball
Deuce - Overwrap self (40 HP barrier)
2 - Untapped power + serve ball (20 damage)
3 - Zapring Advant (40 damage + stun)
4 - Lilbomb Love, Advant (50 damage + blast 2)
5 - Return ball that pierces smoke
Deuce - Gust ball off course
((Bleh, I didn't even bother double checking this...))

As soon as TennisMan grabbed the real tennis ball, the other two past TennisMan harmlessly and bounced away. But, as soon as Deuce created the barrier, Advant started to chuckle and broke out into a small laughter. "Yea, it is your serve. But did you forget the rules so soon?". As his word left his mouth, a giant explosion prompted just behind TennisMan and destroyed the barrier in just seconds. "Be on your guard, TennisMan. Next thing you know, you might lose the match or lose your life."

Advant took a couple steps back and tried to keep his disoriented partner to stand up correctly. "Urrgh...My head...", Love silently whispered to Advant's ear as she leaned on his shoulder. "C'mon Love, focus". Even though the Advant was facing against TennisMan and tending Love, he immediately turned around when the ball was coming at him and swung his racket for a return. However, the navi wasn't aware of the electric ring that was hidden in the ball's path and shocked his entire body into a short submission.

The situation got far worse when TennisMan proceeded to throw a LilBomb to create a smokescreen covering their side of the court and make some damage. The ball went past the smoke and headed towards TennisMan, who returned it straight back into the smoke with his racket. Everything looked like it was going as planned for Desmond and TennisMan, until an unknown object also came out of the smoke and nearly crossed path with the tennis ball. "This is for giving me a headache!!". Without warning, the foreign object exploded underneath TennisMan and blew a powerful blow on the Navi's body. "And this is for hurting my Advant!". A familiar sound came from within the smoke and, in just seconds, the smoke was gone and the tennis ball was heading towards the right corner of the court in an unthinkable speed. It was Love with the WindRacket Chip, similar to what TennisMan has. Just by its presence, the smoke was drifting away from the court and literally cleared everything in its path.

So, from the look of it, the ball is powered by the WindRacket and heading straight at the far right corner! And you can bet that they'll miss a shot like this. Also, on the other hand, the stunned Advant seems to be preparing something...

Advant: 450 [STUN] [Preparing ???]
Love: 470 [WindRacket]

Tennis Ball: Heading towards right corner

TennisMan: 110
Deuce: 50

Terrain: 80% Grass Court, 10% Tennis Net, 10% Fences [Surrounding the Court]
The ball was driving straight towards the edge of the court. From his experience, he knew it would land within bounds and he also know it was possible for him to return it. However, if he did, he would be in a terrible position to return the next shot if Advant and Love returned his, most likely aimed towards the opposite corner. Every swing of the racket was a precursor to the next move ahead and Tennisman was stuck in a pre-determined sequence of moves. There was nothing he could do but follow through with the plan that had been laid out and hope that speed upgrade would be of use to him or his opponents would fumble.

An idea came to mind as he ran.

Tennisman forced himself to make a mad dash to the ball as close to the net as was possible. Each footstep glanced off the ground like a peck, ripping off a thin layer of grass with it. He swung Deuce, stretching his arm out wide in a full dive, not even thinking to get back to his feet after.

"Guard!" Desmond called out.

The strings on Deuce's face flashed yellow mid-swing, imbued with the full reflective force of the second Guard chip. Tennisman completed his desperate return, almost slamming into the fence that surrounded the court. As he stumbled into his landing, he pressed his hand to the ground to balance himself and execute the second half of his strategy. The tennis net they were using was unusually thick, practically a thin strip of the terrain itself. And where there was land, Tennisman could create his own net.

In a quiet whisper, Tennisman activated his second signature attack, "Netplay."

He had timed his swing to coincide with the ball crossing the existing net. His net sprang up from the top of that, effectively doubling the height and affording him another opportunity to score a point. On top of that, Tennisman gave his racket another swing, spinning a gust into the stunned Advant an an attempt to turn his body against his partner. Tennisman was about to let whatever Advant was charging hit him head on. With any luck, he could use it again Love. Tennisman realized he had escaped his locked fate and was back on the offensive. He requested another chip from Desmond.

"Holy Panel." He said.

It was time to plan ahead.

Desmond let out a confused, "Huh? What's the point?" before slotting in the chip anyways, trusting in Tennisman's judgement.

The shining panel spawned below his feet in the corner of the field where he was standing. Deuce took it upon himself to Restring Tennisman again and wove more of his wires through his uniform.

1 - Run towards ball
2 - REALLY RUN TOWARDS THAT BALL
3 - Guard1 tennis ball towards Advant (reflect 60)
4 - Netplay (1-hit shield + heal 60) after ball crosses net
Deuce - Gust Advant into Love
5 - HolyPanel (5% Holy terrain)
Deuce - Restring Tennisman (heal 30)
((Poor Modding quality...I just wanted to get this post done before going to sleep at 5AM...))

TennisMan's effort to return the was a success when the Guard chip was able to withstand the powerful tennis ball powered by the WindRacket. However, even though TennisMan was able return it back, the swing was too clumsy and powerless due to the clash between the Guard chip, it flung towards the other court very slow and weak.

As TennisMan was summoning a shield to protect himself, Advant snapped out of his stun and released the prepared attack. He dove his hands into the grassy plane and something snaked towards TennisMan. Thorny vines sprouted out and attempted to bind the navi, but the shield prevented it from happening and healed the navi as well.

Now, Deuce tried to throw Advant straight at Love with the help of his windy power, but it didn't go so well. Since Advant snapped out of his stun, he didn't crash into his partner, but rather he picked her up by the leg and posed a cliche romance pose with her.

"Oh darling, I can stay like this for all eternity!"

"That's very sweet of you, Advant~<3. But..."

Love swung her racket to return the ball back, but it striked Advant over the head and messed with her aim and technique. The ball flew high into the sky and heading straight down towards TennisMan! This the perfect chance! Go with a bang!

It was the perfect set-up and though his plans hadn't gone the way he had wanted them to, this was worth all the oversights and the unexpected outcomes. Tennisman locked onto the ball, watching it fall back down in a predictable descent path. He ran towards the net in an agressive play and leapt as he pulled his racket back in preparation for a smash. Energy surged into his left arm as he struck the ball in a perfectly executed smash. Deuce contributed with a vortex of air that guided the heavy ball straight into the ground on the other side of the court.

He landed close to the net and aimed his buster at Love and Advant. He wouldn't soon forget that this was a martial game of tennis or the fact that the court was still covered in grass.

"Fireburn, TwinFang, HiCannon." He said, and aimed the weapon at the pair of players.

The wave of fire washed over their half of the court, setting the terrain ablaze. Primarily aiming to keep both players away from the ball, Tennisman refused to let up his assault. He fired two more ivory rockets at his opponent before charging up a one final Hi-Cannon and firing that as well.

"Oh snap, brutal!" Commented Desmond.

Without any concern for the players, Deuce simply watched Tennisman assail them with relentless attacks. He did however care about himself and created another barrier to protect himself from whatever came his way. There was nothing much he could do.

While the two couple was "occupied" with one another, TennisMan shot a powerful smash straight on their side and scored another point. The smash was so strong that it managed to shatter a part of the court and bounced away. With 30-love, the couple needed to focus and be in the right mindset...If they can stop staring at one another. Love broke their romantic stare and looked at the ball that was rolling just besides them.

"Uhhh...He scored another..."

"Yep, he did. We should start playing a bit more seriously"

They stepped back to their original position and prepared to continue the battle, but they didn't see the attacks sent by TennisMan as soon as he smashed. Love was burned badly with the help of the grassy court and Advant's chest was pierced by the fangs. The Hi-cannon was fired upon Advant, but with his precise tennis skill, actually managed to return the bullet straight back at TennisMan, but at half of its original speed and power.

Love grabbed the ball from the ground and prepared to throw it towards TennisMan. "Alright! Here comes the ball!". She threw the ball up in the air and stroked the ball lightly with her racket. However, it looked like there was something in front of the ball. Advant threw something before Love threw the ball, it was a handful of round object, presumably bombs, but none of them are the same shape or size! From the look of it, even Deuce's gust won't be able to blow all of them away!

"Energybomb!" Tennisman called out.

With some quick thinking, he tossed his own bomb into the path of the four heading his way and watched as all five explosives converged overhead. Not wanting to leave it up to chance, Tennisman made a quick serve, launching a fast tennis ball into his bomb to set it off.

With the tennis ball trailing behind, Tennisman moved in under it.

"Dude, you're too close for a smash!" Desmond pointed out.

Tennisman wasn't aiming for a smash. Considering his opponents' skill levels, they could easily return it and he would be stuck with having to return that attack, likely having to deal with more of their attacks along the way. Tennisman went for a lob.

He pulled his racket back and gave it a fierce underhanded swing, crossing his arms as he finished the motion. A powerful burst of air erupted from the racket's face as he finished through with his follow up. He had aimed for the ball to fall close to the net on their side of the course, forcing his opponents to come forward if they wanted to return it.

"AquaNeedle and Elecpulse." Tennisman said as he made his way to the net.

Three spiked stalagtites dropped in directly where he had aimed his return. The crashed down hard against the floor, making the approach to the net hazardous. As Tennisman dashed along the center line of the court, he stuck his hands out with open palms as if he were about to push over some invisible wall. Surprisingly, there was a wall but it was created by the electromagnetic waves that suddenly rang out from his hands. The Elecpulse sparked bolts of electricity between the remnants of the shattered AquaNeedles, creating the most inhospitable enviroment he could possibly muster under such short notice.

Even if this gambit paid off and he scored the point, Tennisman realized he was running out of chips to work with. He still had one trick up his sleeve that he had been saving since the match began but held back from using it. He would need it to win.

1 - Energybomb into the air (3 x 40 damage + blast 1)
2 - Aim lob
Deuce - Attack Energybomb (20 damage)
Deuce - Gust ball higher
3 - Return tennis ball (high lob, aim to land close to net)
4 - AquaNeedle Advant (3 x 20 damage)
5 - ElecPulse Advant, Love (100 damage + cone + glitch)
((Just moving the battle along))

Tennisman manages to use the concussive power of his energybomb to destroy three of the bombs, and the other is blown off course and explodes outside of the court. He then sends the tennisball behind the volley of balls into a high arc. With it's current trajectory, it would land dead center of the pair's court and only a foot or two behind the net. Love and Advant look up at the ball as it reaches the apex of its arc.

Don't worry about this one, Love. I'll take care of it. Want to keep our opponent a little busy?

I thought you'd never ask! ♪

Love shifts her grip on her racket, tugging at the bottom. The cap pops off, and she draws a thin cable and spools it out until it coils on the ground in front of her. She then lifts her racket and creates a wide arc, bringing the cable off the ground and whipping towards Tennisman. She detaches the cable as the far end hooks on to Tennisman's arm. The rest of the cable quickly whips around him, pinning his arms to his sides.

In the meantime, Advant's racket begins to change and is covered in metal plates. He swings his racket in an overhead serve, creating a wave of air that pushes the ball forward and over on to Tennisman's side of the court. He keeps his distance from the net, safely out of the range of the needles and the electric pulse.

Tennisman's neck shot up to track the trajectory of the ball as it fell. Not even minding the wires binding his arms, he crouched down and twisted Deuce with a snap of his wrist. A powerful gust built up below his feet and shot him up into the air as he leapt, launching him skyward like some kind of navi missile to meet the ball. As he reached the apex of his jump, his body tilted to the side.

"Moonblade." He said calmly.

The blade formed in his free hand and he gripped onto it for dear life as it spun him around while ripping apart the tethers. Though he had been freed, he held his arms in close to keep the spin going. He saw the ball and struck his arm out, stretching out his form and smashing his racket into the ball in a spinning forehand stroke. But there was something else. Desmond had fortunately understood the plan and slotted in an additional Windracket just in the nick of time without Tennisman's prompt. Tennisman had swung at the ball with a Windracket-enhanced Deuce combined with a Moonblade spin and just enough of his own strength to keep himself stable to perform the actual return.

As Tennisman fell back down, he reached his arm back in a punch and called out for more chips, "Two Firehits!"

He quickly made two quick jabs that crashed down on the other side of the court like small meteors. More of the grass burned away at the attacks and slowed his descent enough to land without harm.

"Countbomb." Tennisman added and quickly pointed Deuce at the lone holy panel that he had created earlier. The timed explosive materialized from nothing and immediately began to count down. On top of that, a small energy field wrapped itself around the bomb that Tennisman recognized as his support program's Overwrap. Surprised that he hadn't been forced to use his trump card yet, Tennisman wished this round would end in his favour allowing him to use it for the game winning point. In his mind, he ran over the chips left in his folder and what he could possibly do with them.

As TennisMan jumped straight into the air, the rope tightened and it was just about to pull the navi back to the ground. However, the navi successfully cut the rope into shreds with his blade and freed him self in the last second. Both Advant and Love prepped them self for an upcoming attack and a return by leaping up into the air.

"You're not going to score another one!!"

"Eat this and suck on it!"

Suddenly, the two lifted their hands up in unison and changed it into a standard Cannon. It was fired at the same time and both hit directly at TennisMan's chest. Advant gave out a smile, hoping that the two cannon shot would send the navi to the ground, but it didn't work out too well. At the moment the cannon made contact, TennisMan used his WindRacket to spin and return the ball, keeping him up in the air. The tennis ball was shot straight to the ground and literally trembled the entire area with its devastating force. Now the score was 40-0.

Advant and Love tried to retaliate against TennisMan, hoping that he was open while he was making the shot, but they were hit by the powerful FireHit and sent them down to the grass. They were getting desperate. They were getting overpowered by a single navi when the upperhand should be on their side. They needed to resort to something different. Advant grabbed the ball and started to bounce it up and down.

After a few seconds, he threw it up in the air and swung it with his racket. However, the second before the racket made contact, he pulled something TennisMan and Desmond did by activating the WindRacket in the last second. The ball traveled in an unthinkable speed, but the way it was heading was a little strange...It looked like it was heading straight towards the CountBomb TennisMan set! What is Advant thinking?!
