Jazz's Yoka Bounty Thread

Jazz's Bounty Thread
Current Target: Puffy-F

Jacking into the network from the onsen's rooms, the bunny would come in through a green beam of light, his body materializing rapidly as he began to hop into the network, looking for bad Puffy-F viruses that need to be deleted.

(Battle 1, 140 HP)
Splash, splash, splash. Jazz finds himself in waist high water before he knows it, probably due to the steam shrouding everything and him just blundering into the water. But in the center of this shallow pond, that stretches to the far bank where trees could be seen dimly in the mists, sat a large island made of sizzling coal. This hotbed of steam-generation was also covered by a quartet of viruses, who were sunbathing on the warm coals.

The sudden splashing woke them up from their peaceful reverie, causing the red and blue, fish-like viruses to inflate in anger and rise up above their bed of coals. They were not happy to be disturbed and wished to take it out upon the poor Navi.

—Battle 1, Start!!—
Walking through the waist high water, the rabbit navi would find himself moving slowly to prevent himself from falling over into the admittedly good feeling water, almost as if his body was being soothed by the water all around his body. The bunny not happy with how much water he had to traverse across regardless however, just so he could try and fulfill his obligations with the bounty hunter. Ugh. Why is there so much god damned water around!? He yelled out, angrily splashing around loudly as he began to hop up and down in the waist deep water. I mean seriously! Why does Yoka have to have so much warm water, I feel like I'm gonna be a soaked rabbit by the time I get done here! He whined out, only to find himself soon face to face with four viruses, angrily puffed up and, more unfortunately for him, ready to try and kick his bunny butt back to the stone age.

And that's what you get for whining like a two year old about where you're virus busting at. But I'm sure you'll survive. I've got enough chips to destroy them quickly. Just don't miss. Stephine said as she reached over the side of the onsen, grabbing her PET and looking down at what was going on. A mostly water based area, mostly Onsen panels, which could make things a little difficult if he tried to move around in any real capacity. Perhaps she could get him to start off with one of those signature attacks he had? All those upgrades gave him a decent selection, not like those were hard to program in for him. Can't you...I dunno...MAKE panels? Or at least overwrite them? I don't think it's that hard to make some actual grounding for those huge feet of yours.

Jazz's ears perked up at that idea, his body rumbling in anger at himself that he didn't think of that first. He'd have said something nasty, but god only knows she'd throw it back in his face. But regardless, he looked up to the "sky" above his head and inhaled deeply through his nose, chest puffing out as he started to belt out a song into the air. Well, less a "song" and more like various noises that could be heard within nature. As this "song" continued, the area between Jazz and the Puffies began to "drain", the coals the Puffy viruses rested upon and the warm water in front of him slowly dissipating and disappearing from the area. In it's place, dry soil began to slowly rise up from the ground beneath him and the Puffy viruses, slowly clearing the area of the heat from the coals that had been giving off, the Puffies would likely be pissed from this potential action against them as teal colored Barrier springing to life around the lapine creature, ready to protect him from harm despite the rabbit not noticing it.

Hopping up and down happily on the soil he created, water beading and splattering off his body, little specks of mud being created under his soaked feet and absolutely soaked fur, the bunny navi making happy noises as he dried off. Oh thank gods. I'm not gonna smell like a god damn wet dog! He yelled out, thumping the dry ground as he began run forwards, his thick and powerful legs thumping hard as he began to head towards the viruses in front of him, bobbing and weaving left and right in an attempt to avoid the attacks that the viruses would likely launch against him in retaliation for not only interrupting them, but for replacing the warm coals the viruses had been resting on. Gimmie one-a them battle chips lady, I don't know my own capabilities just yet and I'd rather not try yet! He yelled up at Stephine, who had dried off her hand as she cherry picked the Boomerang1 from her pack, slotting it into the PET almost immediately as he yelled out. On it's way bunny boy. Better judge trajectory carefully, otherwise it might come back to bite ya in the ass. She retorted at him. He WAS a rogue navi, right? How does he not know his own capabilities? She'd be looking more into this eventually, but for now, she'd have to make him trust her, even though she couldn't trust him to split as soon as the Net Police rear their ugly heads.

Laughing out like he was invincible, Jazz could feel the battlechip data flooding into his system almost immediately after it slotted in, grinning like a big idiot as he got ready to wipe these viruses off the face of the earth. Grunting as his core accessed the weapons data within, he could feel it rushing through his entire body, grunting out as he forced it into a more usable form, his arm quickly turning into a razor sharp boomerang. Blinking at what he had created, he would quickly look towards the viruses he was opposing and figured it was probably for the best that he didn't think about how this shit worked out. Without a netop for the last few years, since the Cybeasts had been unleashed upon the nets, he wasn't about to be especially picky about it. Judging the distance between him and the viruses, he'd begin to bring his bladed arm back behind his back, eyes gleaming in the light as he began to judge how to throw this weapon.

He would then take his shot. Throwing the bladed projectile widely to the right, the weapon flying through the air like a knife being thrown forward by the blade. The weapon's arching path looking to shred the two pairs of Puffy viruses in half as it continued to arch around, the rabbit hoping that he didn't over correct his aim as his arm would return to him a moment later, the rabbit not noticing as he watched in awe at his bladed death stick.

Starting things off well with a teal-colored barrier, Jazz transformed the ground before him into fertile bedding, providing him with a spring in his step as he ran forwards towards his enemies. The fat-looking viruses launched a series of red and blue bubbles at him, most of which were a bit too large for him to avoid completely. Fortunately, his barrier absorbed all of the ones that did hit him, as he swooped in with a sharp boomerang blade. Swinging it into the air, it glided beautifully through all of the puffer fish viruses, transforming the soil beneath them into grass as it went. The fish were bisected as the Boomerang disappeared into the air, their top halves slowly sliding off before they disintegrated into data fragments.

The navi would churr delightely as he began to collect the rewards, stuffing them into his navi suit, which Stephine would quickly take from him and put into her PET. The pieces of bug fragments would also be uploaded into Stephine's PET as Jazz began to walk away, thinking he had absolutely no use for the fragments before walking towards his next fight...though the water was certainly getting -everywhere-.

(Battle 2, 140 HP)
Having been rewarded rather well with his earlier well-aimed attack, Jazz was more than willing to forge onwards through the Yoka network. He managed to get on a small ramp of dry land, which extended into a narrow rocky bridge, crossing through a few more large hot spring pools. Apparently he had gotten into a rather active area in terms of spring activity, since there didn't seem to be any particularly large landmasses in sight; perhaps it was a reservoir area? Regardless of his getting lost in the middle of all the springs, he wasn't lacking in company-- a few more viruses had shown up in his vision. Four enormous pools spread out before him, with one on his left and right, and the same number a little further out. Each pool had a small geyser, intermittently spraying out water into the pools they were in, except for the far left pool. Inside the pools themselves, the viruses appeared to be either relaxing-- with a couple of Spooky soaking in the pool to his right-- or working, with a Handy and a Raingear further out to his left. The Handy and Raingear appeared to be bending over an empty hole in the fourth pool, inspecting it for something. In the very middle of all four of the pools, a rotund red Puffy closed its eyes in relaxation as it sat over some red hot coals. None of them appeared to have noticed his appearance yet, so he could get a sneak attack in.

-- Viruses --
HandyHandy (Handy)

Handy Viruses attack by opening a dimensional gate below themselves, and dropping into it. The exit gate opens next to their destination, and they will rise out of it holding an explosive. This explosive is placed on an unbroken panel, and the Handy is free to move after. The use of gates does not count as teleporting, but can be used as a means of dodging as they attack. Gates are only used when attacking, and at no other time. Handy viruses will not set a new explosive until either a turn has passed, or they pass one action without setting a new bomb, whichever comes first. For more info on the bombs Handy viruses use, see below.

Jazz finally managing to find a dry patch of land, shook himself off quietly before noticing the area stretched out in front of him. Viruses on either side and pools of Onsen and Sea around the area, not much room for footing either, so there wasn't much that could be done about changing it into soil and making it stay that way. Hmmm. Not gonna be an easy win this time babe. Jazz mused as he looked along the area in front of him, back and forth between the terrain and the viruses that littered the landscape across the board. Seemed the Sea and Onsen weren't in competition with one another, though Jazz knew from experience one was SIGNIFICANTLY colder than the other. So, got any ideas? Almost a shame to kill them all without them knowing what hit them. Such a horrible shame. He continued, shaking his head. Try this chip. You either delete some of the opposition or you get noticed and attract attention to yourself. Either way, it's a win-win scenario. She said, slotting the chip into the PET as she let out a wide yawn, stretching out in the Onsen on her end, watching what was going on.

Jazz simply grumbled as the chip data came down to him, the data registering for a brief moment before an opaque barrier slid around his body, ready to intercept incoming attacks once he was spotted. Raising his hand to the sky, a DBLCube began to rise up out of the palm of his furry hand, the split virus beginning to start flashing between a red and blue color, much like a cop's light atop their car. Flashing brightly in the distance from the viruses, he began to hope and -pray- to whatever god was listening to let that coin land on the Red so he could then have an easier time fighting these viruses, gods know that he could use a bit more luck to lean on for the moment.

Opting to take the initiative for a first strike, Jazz's operator sent him the DBLCube chip, summoning a revolving cube in front of him that flashed intermittently between red and green, rapidly slowing down before settling on a bright red. Before he knew it, a flash of red light washed over the area. The Spooky viruses near him froze for a moment, before disappearing into the ether as junk data. The other viruses immediately took notice, with the Puffy directly in front of him launching a bouncing red bubble at him from its mouth, which thankfully only grazed against his protective shield. The Raingear a little further away opened its mouth, its insides glowing bright blue, before a powerful geyser burst from Jazz's feet. Fortunately, it missed a little to his side, with no repercussions even to his defenses. The Handy next to it watched him for a bit, before disappearing into the floor and placing an enormous bomb with a large 'X' on the front.

As Jazz watched the DoubleCube nuke the field in a brilliant ruby red light, he flinched under the attack of the Puffy-F, his barrier managing to take the attack with little fanfare, and the Raingear trying to hit him, but managing to miss him by a hare. And then there was the Handy in front of him, with a blinking bomb that had an X across the front of it. God only knows that it was a dud, if he remembered correctly from some BBSes he had read and so much as -touching- it would be a bad idea. Either way, he'd let it sit, but this was a prime chance to pound it into the dirt.

The bunny starting to hop up and down in front of the virus, his legs springing him a couple inches into the air and with every hop, his weight seemed to shift downwards. Each time he fell faster, feeling his body pound into the ground in an invisible rhythm that pounded in the back of his head, he'd begin to smash into the ground time after time, a little quake coming from his hitting of the ground, before grinning and letting out a little quip. Lets drop the beat! He spoke the bunny rabbit navi launching himself a good couple feet into the air, and at the Apex of his jump, would begin to fall towards the Handy, air curling around his body as he put both feet held outwards as he aimed himself as best he could, dropping down onto the ground like a high speed piston onto it's target. Causing a thunderous quake as he jumped forwards off the panel where he had hit, hoping to have just little bits of the Handy underfoot as morbid (and disgusting as it would sound), coming onto his feet from the additional hop forwards, hopefully in front of one of the Onsen pools, just on the outer edges of it so he could have a better chance to hit the enemies in front of him.

Hey! Hey what's her name again? Oh, right! Stephine! You still paying attention to the fight or is that Onsen just too good to send your navi a chip? Jazz asked up into the air as he hopped to the sides back and forth, anxious and waiting for his netop, a click could be heard not long afterwards. Jazz's core immediately taking the data into his body and as if he expected a Boomerang as if like last time, but instead, a couple seconds passed and instead of a razor sharp weapon, he was given...a green cob of corn? What?
Jazz was baffled at what he was given from the chip data, but afterwards it became apparent, the cob of corn would begin to heat up in Jazz's hand, causing the rabbit based navi to look around frightfully as he could feel it getting hotter and hotter, his ears starting to hear the ear of corn...popping? That's right. Popping. The popping causing his arm to jiggle about in all directions, the vibrations of the corn causing him to hop slightly before it peeled back and began to shoot popcorn all over the place. However, one flew towards the direction of the Puffy, and upon contact with the ground, exploded. The explosion launching two more kernels of corn off into the distance, one headed towards the Raingear Jazz had the fortune of avoiding an earlier attack from and the other flying off into the distance, both exploding into bright lights and popping sounds upon hitting solid surfaces.

Was it good for you too, baby? Stephine quipped, giggling out loudly as she watched the confused expression on Jazz's face, the rabbit grumbling under his breath again at the netop.

Jazz did what bunnies do best, hop. He hopped as hard as he could and launched himself high into the air. When he came down, he came down hard. The Handy virus was deleted by gravity and the crushing of a giant rabbit's big feet.

Jazz then moved into range and pulled out a deadly ear of corn! The corn was self popping as Jazz soon learned. The corn spat projectiles everywhere, deleting the two remaining viruses. Leaving a mess of corpses and popcorn all over the place.

Chuckling to himself as he walked up towards the reward data that popped up, scooping it up and noticing the HeatSpread1 that was mixed in with the Zenny and fragments. Well. So much for needing to grab that from the Wrangler. He'll just take the Spreader2 and zenny when he finally came up with 50 viruses killed. Either way. He began to move even further into the network, hopefully, he'd not have to drown himself for the opportunity.

(Battle 3, 140 HP)
Jazz ended up back in another large lake as he continued on. This one had a tiny dry island in the middle of it. Erected upon the tiny island was a stone statue of a Spooky. Water fountained out of its open mouth and slid down its long tongue like a river. Above the SpookyStatue was an actual Spooky. It had probably been drawn to its lookalike, haunting it. Spread out around the lake were two schools of three fish. One was a bunch of blue Puffy-As, all bloated in warning. The other had two floating, widemouthed Larks, and a red Puffy-F. They all looked like they wanted to defeat the Navi for trespassing on their turf.

-- Battle 3. Ready? Start!! --
Grumbling to himself as he waded through the loud sloshing of water around his body causing him to shiver out in...anger? Annoyance? Either way, he'd soon come across a large field of Onsen panels and, along with them, a Spooky statue and a good number of viruses in front of him. Cursing out at his luck, another one of those damnable Puffy-Fs that he could rip through for the Wrangler, as well as three of it's aquatic cousins, two flying goofy-looking fish known as Larks and a Spooky of the same likeness of the virus that danced upon it's own head. Wondering how to go about this, Stephine piped up, annoyed at how her navi was just standing there like a moron.

Keep moving bunny boy. Try to see how to go about this. Maybe one of those songs of yours? Like the first battle, when you made all that Soil come up and dry out all the Onsen? Then lay into them with Wood attacks. One thing my brother did right, he collected a good number of chips that she could augment with. She began, the woman picking up a chip from the pack she had resting next to her and slotting it in, about ready to get out of the Onsen so she wouldn't look like a giant prune when she got out. You're a smart bunny, I honestly have confidence in you not bungling this entire thing up. She finished, with the backhanded complement.

Jazz wasn't entirely sure if this was an actual complement in his abilities, or just her fucking around and having a laugh at his expense. Either way. He surveyed the area, the three Puffy-As on the East, the two Larks and the Puffy-F on the West. To be quite frank, those Larks honestly looked a lot more frightening to fight than the Puffy family, though considering what those things could do to a group, seeing the bubble explode against his barrier in the last fight, he'd have less of a chance to avoid it AND the other viruses if he didn't at least move. But first, he needed some soft ground to move along, he'd be so much faster on land than the resulting water...but then remembering what happened in his first fight, slicing through all four of those Puffies...did the Soil have something to do with it? He'd have to at least try to get along with the Onsen that covered about ninety percent of the battlefield.

Inhaling deeply, closing his eyes and bracing for the worst, Jazz's body quickly found protection, an opaque barrier surrounding his body almost immediately, giving him at least a LITTLE breathing room to avoid taking damage with. And with that, Jazz opened his mouth widely, lips mouthing out invisible and very much silent words that formed from the tip of his tongue. The resultant silent medley began to summon a cacophony of woodlands sounds, birds chirping, the grasshoppers putting their legs together and summoning a mid-day, summer tune as well as the rustling of the trees that housed the chirping birds. What came of it was a loud, thunderous earthquake. The middle of the area, the normal panel quaking and disappearing into the ground, Spooky statue floating over the nothingness below, as the normal tile sinking below the network caused the immediately surrounding Onsen to start draining off into the abyss below, probably to soak some unfortunate navi that was busting in the Rogue Nets below. In place of the Onsen and the normal tile that housed the Spooky statue, lush, fertile mounds of dirt would take their place. A little wet from the Onsen that had drained off, but not nearly enough as the Soil that replaced it would soak it up with no trouble and stay dry enough to be technically considered Soil.

Jazz let out a whistle at his handiwork as he began to download the data from Stephine's PET, Jazz would begin to hop on over to the Soil he had created without a second thought, making damn sure his feet were upon the dry land before summoning up the data that coalesced in his core. Grunting out, the navi would quickly summon up a boomerang into his furred hands. The large double edged Boomerang that he had summoned up into his hands, two handles to allow him to hold onto it like some sort of weird curved sword, he would shrug off the feeling of how dorky it felt holding the jagged edged weapon. Moving himself towards the East, the rabbit bunny would begin to take futile aim at the immobile Puffy-A viruses, swinging the weapon back and forth a couple times, he would then begin to spin around and around at high speeds, the bunny seemingly on one foot on his big bunny toes as he did so. Waiting as he continued to spin about and around on the spot, would then release the Boomerang towards the Puffy-As, the weapon of mass destruction immediately fling out of his soft hands and into the air. Spinning around and around at around the same force that he launched it at, the Boomerang would begin to curve towards the west as it looked for it's way to cleave through the immobile viruses and maybe even curve around to hit something else on it's way back. But before Jazz could begin to admire how his attack went, for better or for worse, Jazz immediately began to run his ass forwards towards the north-east, if only to A. Get out of the way of his Boomerang in case it decided to cleave his bunny butt in half and B. to hopefully avoid a counterattack from the enemy viruses on the west.

3: Boomerang1--->Puffy-A A-C and curving towards the west potentially into another enemy (60+5x2 Final Damage?, Arc Attack, Wood, Break)
4: Dodge to the North-East out of the way of the Boomerang curve
Getting a thorough read on the battlefield, Jazz decided that what wasn't broken didn't need to be fixed and simply repeated his earlier strategy of using his trusty Boomerang. Singing to the earth, he dried up some of the waterlogged area into nice, loamy soil for him to dance about on. Spurred by the energy from the ground beneath him, he summoned up the enormous Boomerang chip in his hands, and swung it into the crowd of viruses. Unfortunately, his aim wasn't quite as good as before, and he missed most of the stationary targets, save for one, which was quite quickly deleted by the heavy metal weapon. The viruses were quick to retaliate, with the Puffy viruses blowing out solid-looking bubbles that bounced slowly about the ground, and the Lark viruses similarly launching a barrage of wide-angled energy blasts from their mouths. However, just as he was about to carefully weave his way through the salvo of attacks, the Spooky from atop the statue cackled, and then vanished. It then suddenly appeared in front of him and lashed out its tongue at the rabbit Navi. Though he managed to dodge the attack and hopped away from it, he fell right into the Spooky's trap and careened directly into a large portion of the viruses' attacks. Two of the bubbles and one of the energy blasts crashed into his barrier, destroying it before one last red bubble burst in his face, causing a distinctly unpleasant burning sensation all over his body. Jazz grumbled loudly at himself at being so inaccurate with the Boomerang, bunch of grass had been summoned up from the Boomerang's travel path, not to mention the Spooky right up in his face, anger boiling up in his throat as he had a decent plan thought out, and the ghost in front of him had completely fucked it up. He couldn't believe he had let his guard down like that, and now he had a bouncing bubble heading directly towards him, not to mention the burnt fur on his body, the stinging still evident on him as he figured out his next plan of attack.

A loud PM would show up on Stephine's PET, and with it, a message from Jazz.

Quote (Jazz)

No words. No snark. I need some decent chips here. Got a spooky in front and a bunch of viruses surrounding me.

The message stated, he wasn't about to speak directly to her for the moment. He needed to focus on what he needed to delete in front of him. A barrier immediately coming up around his body to shield it from damage for a bit. Then a couple clicks could be heard in the PET, data downloading towards his core so he may hopefully get rid of some of this trash in front of him.

With the first, he accessed it, the rabbit navi hopping backwards to the south, turning and fleeing from the spooky in front of him so he may manage to line himself up with at least two of the more annoying targets. His feet digging softly in the dirt as he hopped away, kicking up just a little bit of dirt with each hop, trying to make sure he could properly line himself up with the targets, ignoring the rather annoying Spooky in the meantime. As he finished his movement, reaching back behind him, a small cube materialized into his paw, making damn sure to take a chance to get in a word edgewise, aiming himself between the viruses he had his eyes on, and the statue so they couldn't get as much of a chance to hit him maybe. Hey fucks! You feelin lucky a second time!? He shouted, tossing the small cube up into the air as high as he possibly could. At the peak, what could only be described as a "Double Cube" began to flash rapidly between a red and blue light up in the air, glowing ominously as Jazz took his plan into play.

Protected by the barrier, he would take a simple moment to line up the viruses in his head, ears twitching as he tried to get a perfect lineup so he could go through the two Larks and the Puffy-F, and if luck was on his side for once in this fight, he could plow through the three without even trying, as well as getting rid of that annoying eyesore of a statue. NOW THEN, FUCKING DIE FOR ME! He bellowed out, the rabbit immediately backing up a couple paces from the statue, bringing his arms out as widely as he possibly could, and then began to run at the statue in front of him. Stephine, perplexed, wondered if that bubble he had taken to his person scrambled his little bunny brain just a bit too much. Then she remembered...Dash Attack. There was no way he could plow through that statue...no way in hell. But Jazz had another trick up his non-existent sleeves. As he dashed forwards, the cape of what could be described as a Fishy began to form over his arms, trailing up his back and over his head. The green quickly turning to a metallic grey as he rammed himself at super speed through, most likely, the statue in front of him. And then everything else. Winding up elsewhere in the area, the dirt clouds having not yet settled over the battle field, nothing could be seen but a shadow of the navi that had been enraged at the very existence of these viruses actually getting a hit on him, three battles in.

Having been snubbed from hitting most of his intended targets, Jazz sent a request of silence, as well as supply, from his operator, and was answered sufficiently with two battlechips. As he ran up to the statue, the blue bubble that had been floating around from the Puffy's attack a little while ago bounced past him, and plopped unceremoniously into the water. The bloated fish viruses started up another round of bubbles, but they were soon negated very quickly by Jazz's DoubleCube attack. The floating cube flashed red, and rained down a barrage of similarly-colored lasers onto all of his enemies, deleting the lone Spooky in the process. The Lark also fired out a few attacks, but having secured the cover of the large statue, this wasn't very effective either. Regardless of its usefulness, however, Jazz was quite happy to simply barrel through it as he activated his DashAttack, deleting two more of the viruses in his wake. He came to a stop in the water behind one of the Lark viruses, which had floated out of the way just in time.

Grunting as his dash ended and having run into the warm onsen that covered around the area, blood having rushed to his head as he recovered from the disorientation of his attack, two more viruses deleted in his wake and the Spooky having been annihilated from the barrage of red lasers from his DBLCube...that was a good feeling. Just three more to go and he could continue on. Nothing bad here. Either way, his Barrier was still around him, having not taken a hit from the resulting few moments. Shaking his head, he was going to finish this off, one way or another.

Remembering the corn he had been given the last battle, and seeing how it's kernels popped all over the place, he figured he could make another go at it. Maybe, just maybe, he could get the right distance to nuke the last three without a second thought. With that, a second PM was sent to his netop, she didn't respond outside the chips, so, maybe she was actually getting into this? Or was she respecting his wishes? Hmmm...that was a conundrum he could figure out later on.

Great chip choices last time sweets, just about done with this fight. I got a good feeling about this next little bit. How about that corn chip from earlier? I saw those kernels try to hone on on the remaining viruses, also maybe something for cleanup, just in case the kernels don't quite hit the mark?

The PM said, Stephine giggling at the bunny, he was certainly getting into the spirit of battling, though maybe she would make some sigs for defense in the future, that barrier wasn't gonna hold out forever if he got into the deeper networks, she heard about those Rogue nets and there was another net just below that, viruses even more nasty than what was in the Rogues. Then the Undernet...god knows if he could ever get in there without dying. But she shrugged at those thoughts for the moment, sending him the CornShot and another of those chips her brother's navi was made to take advantage of, the SideGun should be adequate for the cleanup. Explodes out on the sides upon contact and whatnot, no reason to think that he would miss a stationary target a second time.

With two simple clicks, the Rabbit navi would stand in the waist deep water calmly, despite the warm water soaking into everything and with every little movement he made, a sizable ripple would react against the "shore" of the soil panels he created. Summoning up the ear of corn again, he would then steady his arms, steady his breathing, close his eyes as he stood in his protective barrier. And then let loose. The corn popping all up and down the ear of corn in his hands.

Jazz doing his best to hold it steady in his fuzz covered fingers, as it popped once, twice, and then an innumerable amount of times, each pop making the ear of corn start busting at the seems each and every time, jerking his arms left, right, up and down. And then a mighty "BOOM" echoed out, kernels of corn exploding out of his hands and leaving a little singe on the strands of his fur, but as he was wiping the burnt fur against his wet navisuit, trying to cool them down, a massive kernel of corn flew at the Lark without even trying, loosely trying to keep on course with the virus. And as it hit the ground, a large explosion of energy appeared, fertile grass left in it's wake. And two more kernels of corn flying out of the explosion at high velocity, each making their explosion imminent like the first, grass springing out of the fertile soil where they landed and hopefully with the loss of virus life.

------TURN SPLICE-------
Taking the last shot quite seriously, Jazz stepped into the water quietly, summoning up the CornShot in the form of... an ear of corn, before letting loose a veritable barrage of literal popcorn at the remaining viruses. While they attempted to retaliate in kind, Jazz's barrier absorbed them easily enough, while his unfettered offense wreaked havoc on the viral lines, deleting them all in one fell swoop. As an added bonus of sorts, the waters that he was standing in provided him with some extra vitality to recover from his wounds as he did so. (+6)

Chuckling to himself as he had finished deleting these viruses, and shuddering out, feeling his body loosen up, if only just a little bit, the navi would scoop up the rewards humming to himself before continuing on into the network.

(Battle 4, 126 HP)
Moving right along, Jazz gathered his loot and went in search of more adventure.. and ideally more loot along with it. What he found, after a short exploration was a very broad, shallow soaking pool with thick, heady steam rising from it. The onsen was probably very refreshing but if he thought as much, Jazz was clearly not the only one.

Soaking in the pool were a trio of Piranhas lazily circling and splashing in the water at the centre of the area. They appeared to be circling around a glittering green data crystal without paying it too much attention; the crystal made something of a centrepiece to the pool, or so it looked like. Along with them a whirly was making its own turbulence in the back left of the pool, from where Jazz could see it, and three other bloated fish viruses were also enjoying the warm waters variously in the pool. Not everything was completely relaxing, though, since there was a very invasive-looking swarm of skeeters buzzing around over the water's surface as well, most likely waiting to be an irritating to anyone who came for a soak. Darn bugs.

The pool itself was ringed by a strip of hot coals that probably made a good heat-pat to sit or lie back on provided one had a towel or something else to put between themselves and the heat, but being mostly fish, the viruses were understandably avoiding this bit.

As Jazz had a moment to take this all in, a small, soft voice drifted across the fog; feminine and soft, it sounded like it came from someone on the smaller side of things.

"Ah! hot, hot.. Eee!" Sure enough, what emerged from the thick steam clouds a moment later was what could only be described as a small bunny girl; she was only about three feet tall at most, including the extension of long rabbit ears from either side of her head Her fur was all white, but she was dressed in what was unmistakably a Christmas ensemble, including narrow red felt breast band, with white furred ruffs, and a rather short red skirt with the same trimming. A cute rabbit's tail poked out from a specifically designed top-catch in the band of the skirt, and she sported a small Christmas cap in white, with three bells and a red pom-pom on the end, perched neatly between her ears. She was also bare-foot and seemed to be having a tough time of darking across the hot coals as quickly as she could. There was a wicker-work basket in one arm which she seemed to be holding with some care as she darted along. There was a moment, just as she approached Jazz, still mostly focused on watching where she put her feet, that she glanced up, saw the other navi, then stopped still to look at him for a few seconds. After that, she remembered that she was standing on hot coals, let out a small squeak and jumped up, making her way forward again. Soon enough she was standing right next to him, on the much safer normal panels. She grinned up to him, looking self-conscious for a brief moment.

"Not the most graceful entrance.. sorry about that." she shrugged then reached into the wicker basket, pulling out what looked like a miniature green crystal. with a dainty flick, she sent it spinning away, to land just beside Jaz, where it assumed the form of a full-sized mystery data.

"It's off-season work, I know, but it pays the bills, right?" Then, with a sly grin and a small wink, she jumped up to peck him quickly on the cheek. "Season's greetings, cutie, have fun!" Before Jazz could react much further, she darted away again, heading off into the steam with quick jumps and skips. This would leave Jazz with the viruses once again... if he was still interested in them, of course.
