Riverrun rapids

As his armor continued to repair itself, the red armored navi looked out across the battlefield. Delta frowned slightly when he saw that the second turret had survived his attack. "Henry," he said, "Can you give me a cannon and a minibomb?"

"Sure," Henry replied, sitting up to reach the keyboard. With the chip folder already up, it was only a matter of clicking the right icons on the screen to send the chips.

Delta nodded as the chips arrived, "Thank you," the navi said as he raised his buster to point at the starfish, firing as soon as the weapon was in position. Hopefully the bubbles coming towards him weren't going to get in the way. Speaking of which, Delta took a moment to move away from said bubbles, taking a few long strides away.

Turning once more, the navi caught the minibomb as it 'fell' out of thin air. Pausing a moment to calculate the throw, the navi drew back his arm and lobbed the explosive overhand at the remaining cannon.

Taking the quick and practical route, Delta received a Cannon from his operator and proceeded to blast the Starfish. The projectile managed to avoid the bubbles as it traveled. Once he himself had gotten some distance from the bubbles, Delta tossed a bomb at the second Canodumb, deleting it (because hey, it's immobile). The Lark had gotten up off the ground by this point, floating around and firing a wide wave in Delta's direction. The attack both wiped out all the bubbles and hit him (15), but his automated healing kicked in to quickly fix the damage.

"Alright, I've sent you a rageclaw. See what you can do." Henry leaned back in his chair, feeling that his navi could handle the remaining virus.

Delta nodded at Henry's response, then activated the rageclaw. As the weapon's blades formed on his left hand, the navi charged forward, slashing his arm horizontally as he reached his target. Without pausing, Delta slashed again, bringing the claw up and around to make a vertical cut. His final attack in the combo was to reverse the claw and slash upwards in the same direction his previous attack had some from.

-- REWARDS --

[WideShot1] Battlechip, 360z
((This has been a long time coming.))
...Delta turned to face the virus, his expended claws vanishing as he did so. Leisurely approaching the reward data, he noticed that it included a battlechip. "Henry, it looks like we got a chip from one of the viruses," the navi said as he collected the chip and zenny, "Looks like...it's a wideshot one."
"Cool. Are you up to keep going?"
Delta began to move on from the battlefield, "My self-repair routines finished working just as I finished off that last virus. I believe that I should be able to easily handle another battle."
((WideShot1 get!))
((Looking for the Next Battle))
Delta came upon a large dry area with a pond to the North. Two Walla walruses were splashing around in the water. The proponderance of normal terrain was probably due to a dog-like Rush virus, who was just finish changing more of the sea terrain into normal terrain. The Walla barked angrily at the Rush for making their pond smaller.

To the West, a Teddy-bear stood between two small, heavy pillars. Resting on top of each was an automated cannon, which blared an alarm as the Navi approached. It was at that point that all problems between the viruses ceased, and they all looked toward Delta with hate.

Delta winced as the cannons sounded the alarm. "I just got spotted by some viruses. They don't look happy."

Henry straightened up in his chair, then inspected the scene in front of his navi. "Hmm...do you want me to send you some cannons to deal with the elevated viruses? They don't look like we can reach them with a melee chip," the netop said as he prepared the chips in question.

"Load the chips now- I'm going to go for the cannons first."

"Alrighty then," Henry said as he sent the chips.

Delta raised his left arm into firing position as the battlechip loaded, taking only a moment to air with his transformed hand before firing at the cannondumb on the left, before shifting his aim to the other elevated virus. Delta fired the second battlechip just as it finished loading, and prepared himself to avoid any retaliation from the viruses.

Delta, taking initiative to fight back against the Cannons atop the pillars, takes his own pair of cannons and attempted to blast both of them right out of the air, with both cannons firing at the top of the pillars, managing to hit both square in the main part of the cannons, deleting them immediately, dodging a counterattack from one before being blown to bits. With both of the viruses deleted, the Teddy began to move closer and closer, seemingly a cuddly stuffed bear, until it got near, razor blades for claws immediately slashing at Delta for a good chunk of damage across his chest (-20). And with that, the Rush virus immediately got the hell out of dodge, opening a hole below it and jumping through, comically taking the black hole with it afterwards.

The Walla viruses, infuriated the dog got away, immediately opened fire on the navi to assuage their conscience, two large spears of teeth each coming out and hurtling towards the navi on rocket power. One completely going to the side of the navi, while the other struck head on, sending the tooth through his mid-section, but dropping out of him almost immediately after, dissipating into junk data (-20).

Delta let out a grunt of pain as the second attack hit, his repair systems already working to mitigate the damage. "Send me our firehit, I've got an oversized plush to take down."
"Roger that. Firehit, slot in!"
Delta stepped forward and swung at the bear, both hands bursting into flames as he did so. The navi stepped back from the bear like virus to avoid a potential counter hit, before punching again to launch a flaming image of his fist at his target.

Delta stumbled as he landed, thrown off balance by the hit. Henry, on the other hand, had just finished selecting three chips to send. "Zapring, Slot in!"

Delta grinned as the chip data loaded, dropping to one knee and raising his left arm to aim at one of the remaining viruses. With barely a delay, the navi unleashed a bolt of electricity that expanded into a ring as it flew.

"Again, ZapRing, Slot in!" Henry loaded the second chip into his PET as soon as Delta fired the first.

Delta shifted his aim to other virus before firing again, then asked, "What next?"

Henry grinned at his netnavi's question, before answering, "WideShot, Slot in."

Delta brought his buster arm back up, trying to aim the shot so that it would hit both enemies. He felt his buster preparing the new chip to fire, and as the data finished loading, unleashed a blast of energy that quickly extended into something that almost looked like a blade.

Delta allowed his arm to drop after the last chip had been fired, his buster reverting. He could tell without looking that his self repair systems were working to heal the damage that he had taken recently, but it would take a while for him to be fully healed.

With the end in sight, Delta gritted his teeth through the iron spike attack, while his operator supplied him with a triple chip special. The Navi wasted no time in firing off the attacks as soon as they came in, but this strategy proved somewhat detrimental as he took one of the iron spikes to his side once again. (-20) However, the injury patched itself almost completely (+15), and he was able to wipe out the remaining walrus viruses with his new acquisition of the WideShot attack. Even more fortunate was that the iron spike that had hit him in the flank earlier was lying around behind him, and would be perfect for converting into usable battlechip data!

Delta groaned as he made his way over to the reward data, "That was painful. I think we may want to do something else."
"Well, we could always head over to the netsquare BBSes to look for more information on our last mission."
Delta paused as he stood back up from grabbing the reward, "That actually sounds perfect. I'll let you know when I get there." As he said this, the navigator turned to head for the netsquare portal.

It only took Delta a few minutes to reach the portal to the netsquare, which he stepped onto without hesitation. A beam of red light speared up into the heavens.
