Frankenstein's busting

The navi looked fairly unphased from the attacks he had been forced to take by the Spikey and Spooky hitting him, just the littlest bit of drool slipping down from where the Spooky had managed to lick him at, bloodshot eyes looking to and fro as he grunted out. He didn't care what these fools wanted with him, he didn't care anymore that they wanted him dead. He was more than likely going to wind up ending this fight here and now. Letting out another roar of dominance at the viruses that remained in front of him, Asymptote pounded his chest in a display of dominance, turning straight to the Spikey and giving it a stern, cold glare.

Rushing the creature in front of him, Asymptote would pound the ground in front of him, a flash of words appearing on Joseph's screen saying Signature Program Activated. Joseph scratching his head as he watched them disappear as Asymptote continued his attack. Signature attack? Did I program that into him? He asked himself as the words disappeared from the screen, Asymptote's hands summoned up various signs and numbers which soon formed themselves into an equation that the navi grabbed with both hands. 8x2^2+7x(4+1)=291 As he held it above his head he would continue to attack the Spikey in front of him, the navi jumping upwards in an arc as he slammed it down at the Spikey's head, the numbers and symbols clattering around the area and disappearing into junk data almost immediately, as he growled out.

The navi getting a click in the back of his head, he felt data rush to his body, knowing full well battlechip data had been sent to him. His arms spreading out as two sets of three ivory claws shot out of the backs of his hands, blood and gore clinging to the pearly white and jagged claws. A soft glow coming off the claws he summoned as he began clenching his fingers into fists as he stepped forward and brought both arms down in a cross pattern, attempting to slash the Spikey into pieces on his jagged, painful looking claws.

Turning back around towards the Spooky that he had been ignoring as of late, damage he had been given or during his round of attack, stomped towards the ghostly virus. His shadow looming over the creature in front of him, eyes glowing unnaturally as he stood in front of where it floated, growling loudly at the ghost. Go. Back. TO HELL! he bellowed out, arms pulling back as he wound up for his attack, arms shooting forward at the creature, nails ripping through the air as they sought to rip through the ghostly virus' face and body and end this battle.

Accuracy: B / B then B
Description: Creates an impressive bear claw. Can be used to slash or throw enemies or objects.

Special: Throw: The wielder must first grab the target to be thrown, then the target is thrown in the direction/area indicated. A second check is made if against another object/enemy. Throw deals damage to both thrown object/enemy and the second object/enemy. Damage occurs at point of collision with the ground/wall/ceiling/etc. or an object/enemy, not during initial grab attempt. Objects deal their max HP in damage (instead of the chip's damage) if they hit an object/enemy, then break. If they miss, the object just takes the chip's damage. This chip has a variety of uses.

Good fortune was with Asymptote as he brazenly set about finishing off his attackers. Just about to launch another fireball at him, the Spikey was resoundingly clocked with an overly complex equation, and the shot went wild. The navi capitalised on the moment to follow up with an empowered claw swipe that put the pup in its place for good. The spooky also tried to take another taste of the hulkingly altered educator, but similarly failed to do much more than wave its tongue about in the air. Asymptote slashed it as well, and the ghost had substantially less stamina for standing up to the claws. The net result was that Asymptote was in the clear again, for now.

SpikeySpikey (Spikey)

Spikey viruses are a little faster than the average virus, allowing them to cover more ground than normal with movements and dodges. They may attack while moving, but as normal, they cannot attack while dodging without expending a second action to do so. Spikey viruses are also able to use something called 'pack tactics' when 3 or more of them are present. Simply put, the Spikey viruses attack and dodge as a wolf pack. In addition, they are treated as having a reduced power Haste and Accuracy Enhancement effect which grants them a +5% bonus to evasion and accuracy while this effect is active. The effect is passive, and only expires when their numbers drop below 3.

Chuckling to himself as he had taken care of the viruses (and suffered a few burns in the process), the roided out navi would scoop up the data left behind by the area, he'd look about slowly, meticulously looking for a way out that he needed. Eyes then locking onto the random crags out in the distance. He had no real choice in the matter unfortunately, the broken pannels seemed to have already repaired themselves and he wasn't about to risk those cracked panels either. With a loud sigh, the large brutish navi woud somp his way towards them, climbing slowly out of the area with nothing better to do.

Joseph would then pop one of those sub chips that he had been given, a MiniEnergyPack. A cooling and tingling sensation spreading through his navi's body as his HP would return to full just in time for his next fight...wherever it might wind up at.

(Battle 4, MiniEnergyPack used (+50 HP), 150 HP)
It didn't take too long for Asymptote to make his way out of the uneven valley, but just as the terrain began to flatten out into a more open space between the hills, the ground began to take on shades of black and white. The lines grew more uniform the further he went, until they all drew into a check pattern, surrounded on the outside by a thin band of fresh grass. The square in front of him was a tell-tall eight by eight of black and white tiles, many of which were covered in gothic-styled statues of different sizes and shapes.

Most of the ones one his left were a dark black stone, while the ones on the right were mostly a pale marble instead. The 'game' such as it was, seemed to be part way through, though it was hard to tell which side was actually holding the upper hand. At the back left of the chess board, a small bunny hopped up and down on top of the statue shaped like black castle. slightly closer, the black queen seemed to have a green glowing crystal as its top decoration, which was notable opposite the white queen, whose crystal was simple stone. There was a shuffle of movement behind some of the intermingled pawns in the middle, but the most worrisome feature at the moment was that, in place of what ought to have been a black knight was a figure made of dark bronzewood, and as Asymptote approached its eyes lit up red and it reared back with a high shriek.

Letting out a sigh of brief contentment as Asymptote rose himself up to the flatter areas of this part of the network, he'd come across a checkerboard and chess pieces, eyes looking back and forth as he saw the viruses simply playing around and enjoying themselves, no hint of malicious intent or anything of the sort. He then saw the green crystal in the black queen's crown, he had no idea what it could be, but as soon as he was finally spotted by the...amalgamation...towards the back, he could see he was not wanted in the slightest. While the navi looked on, his netop was busy working, looking over the battlefield that Asymptote would be fighting on, HP signatures and the general gist of what was happening sprung up on his screen.

This field was certainly not an ideal fighting area, but...then again, what was? He would look over the profiles that he could find of the viruses that showed up, two Shrubby viruses, that was easy enough, nothing horrible to work against...the Bunny on the Rook was a bit more troublesome, could stun Asymptote and leave him weak and unable to fight back against the others. And then came that Knightmare virus...there was little he could find on it, but it looked a lot like a simple Knight from the games of chess he had played, 240 HP was certainly a taller order than what his navi was used to, but he could certainly handle it, there couldn't be too much to deal with even if the fight dragged on...right? And then the HP signature came up on that green crystalline object atop the black queen's crown...a scant 20 HP, very easy to break if the viruses decided that they wanted to delete it.

Asymptote, can you hear me? Joseph asked, the navi almost immediately lifting his head up to the skies, eyes docile and almost calm for what it was worth. Be careful, that knight virus isn't going to be easy pickings. It's a lot stronger than what you're used to fighting, but I'm sure you can delete it. Take the Bunny out first though, it's not as friendly as it's exterior may look. It can paralyze, leave you vulnerable to attacks. Hopefully, those Shrubby viruses don't attack any time soon either, but they're going to be hard to hit right now. But focus on the Bunny, the big black elephant in the room can be dealt with soon, just keep an eye out for whatever might come at you for the next little bit.

The navi would simply grunt and nod at his netop's words of caution, and then a single click, the navi would quickly run around the outside of the chess board that it encircled, as to avoid having to weave his body through the scattered about pieces of the board, he wanted a decent shot at the Bunny before it noticed his intent. His feet stomping through the grass towards the left side of the board, and looking to ignore the Knightmare virus for the time being, his body kicking the blades of grass up into the air, each blade floating through the breeze kicked up by the large navi's incidental speed as he looked to get rid of the worrisome target in his sight. However, be it an errant rock in the grass or his own feet catching up under themselves in his own haste, he would wind up tripping and his own momentum making it difficult to keep himself from stopping this, he would shift his own weight forward, curling up and catching his legs expertly as he rolled forwards a fair distance, making his accidental tripping look intentional as he attempted to roll himself just behind the black rook on the far left side of the field, coming to a stop in the grass most likely.

After his accidental dodge behind the rook, the navi would quickly jump to his feet from a prone position, the navi would quickly bring up his chip data, a simple Cannon, but should be more than enough to take out the Bunny as it hopped atop the castle based rook, taking a few steps backwards so he could more accurately hit the varment. His hand letting out a loud and sickly crunching noise, the navi's hand slowly activating the data as his fingers began to close in, thumb rose out straight and narrow as a scope began to form in the middle of it unnaturally and painfully spreading it out in a circular shape with a small crosshair. Pointer finger stood out forward as his middle, ring and pinkie fingers closed into his hand, a revolver barrel spreading out in his hand as veins and bones cracked out and were replaced by cold, black steel, his body shuddering out as pain coursed through the large navi's body. Raising his arm upwards at where the Bunny had been at, steadying his shooting arm with his free hand as he pressed it hard into the awaiting palm. He would take aim at the top of the castle, waiting for his mark to get into his crosshairs and with that, a single 'click' could be heard, as his finger would then light up for a split second, before a loud blast could be heard echoing outwards into the distance and a white blast of energy rocketed out towards the Bunny, an explosion of energy then spreading outwards against whatever it hit.

After a quick survey, Asymptote masterfully and entirely deliberately of course, took cover behind one of the large chess pieces on the black side of the field. An electric ring crashed into the rook her was covering behind a moment later, so it was probably a good thing he did. The two shrubbies each popped out from behind their pawns to launch rolling logs towards his position, but the first one was obstructed by another chess piece, and the second rolled by the spot he had been standing in before his unexpected dodge. The obstructed log stuck around on the board, cluttering up the field even further, and the pair scuttled away again quickly, seeking the cover of more pieces.

The bronzewood knight gathered itself, its form animate in a vaguely disconcerting way; it remained mostly rigid, like a proper chess piece, but with hints of flexing and shifting as it needed to for momentum — which it released in a sudden violent leap, cresting up high into the air above the field. The ground reverberated slightly as it took off, and it turned in the air as well, red eyes spying Asymptote behind his rook and curving towards him as it reached the peak of its leap. If anyone was paying particularly close attention, which might be hard to do, a soft beep also sounded, coming vaguely from the panel that the knightmare had jumped from.

The navi of the hour managed to take the opportunity to nail the bunny squarely with his cannon shot, removing it from his list of worries, but the knightmare wasn't going to hang around in the air all day, and it came crashing back down again with tremendous force. as knights were prone to doing, its jump had carried it over the top of the black rook, and it slammed down onto the protective piece with a loud braying sound, impacting hard and sending Asymptote sprawling as well from the blast. The shockwave of its landing had destroyed a couple of the closest chess pieces, as well as the log that had gotten stuck, and managed to knock over one or two more. Small aftershocks and tremors continued to ripple through the ground even after it landed, while a storm of whirling leaves jumped up to shroud the knight itself in a protective barrier of some sort. There was no doubt; this might only be a single virus, but it was packing the meanness and spite of three, and wasn't about to be taken lightly. The horse head snorted a cloud of steam angrily in Asymptote's direction.

The navi had been thrown down to the soft grass from the blast of energy that had impacted against his body, causing the frankensein of a navi to groan out in a little bit of pain as he got back onto his feet slowly, getting a snort in his face as he wound up face to face with the horse head of the chess piece. Causing him to close his eyes and shake his head for a moment as he stepped backwards to gain just a little bit of distance so he could think things out. Those two Shrubby viruses were very scant and he couldn't tell for certain where the two could be at right now amidst the mess the virus had made for it's self, he would notice that the virus had taken the opportunity to surround it's self with a shield of leaves, Asymptote not knowing what kind of properties the shield could have on the virus.

Though his netop was furiously tapping away on his PET, going to a web page as he tried to look for any sort of info on the virus his navi was staring down, coming up more or less empty handed, there were few reports on it and even fewer entries on it that didn't state the obvious of the virus, from looks to how it moved there was little he could go on. However, he DID find something on the barrier as he looked around, called a "LeafShield" by the community of netbattlers. He quickly went back to his navi's fight, and contacted him. Asymptote. That's a LeafShield, any attack that isn't a fire-attribute attack will heal it for however much damage it takes. Try a buster shot then get at it, but you might want to think of a strategical withdrawal from where you're at. You're dangerously close to that green crystal, and we might find extra stuff in it. Lure it away if you can.

With that, Asymptote was still face to face with the Knightmare. But armed with this information, he could do something about that shield in a better capacity. Breathing deeply, Asymptote began to summon a simple equation to his hands in the form of a simple addition problem 2+2=4. Tossing it gently in the air in his large palm, he'd simply take the option to throw the equation at the Knightmare's LeafShield before going for a much more direct, far more painful approach.

Grunting out as he began to summon up a more complex formula, numbers and symbols literally falling from the sky as he summoned them up into his hands, the monsterous navi would soon have a more intricate formula that would read out to being (20/5)^3X(40/5)^2=4,096. His hands clasped around the formula, he would promptly try to jump upwards into the air, swinging his arms like he was holding a baseball bat, attempting to clock the knight atop the horse upside the head with his mathmatical formula and answer on top of that as the numbers would quickly fall down towards the ground, clattering all around before disappearing.

And after his attempted clocking upside the head of the Knightmare's Knight, the navi would crash down heavily into the grass, the ground quaking under his feet even in the soft grass. He would quickly take the initiative to get out of the way of the Knightmare's potential counterattack, kicking up grass and dirt along the way (and being careful of any errant rocks that might be there) as he did his best to get out of the corner he put himself into, trying to make some distance away from the queen and her "faithful knight".

As Asymptote picked himself up, the small tremors in the ground from the Knight's landing continued and swelled suddenly into a series of earth spires that erupted out of the ground before he could do anything. Two came up beneath other chess pieces, knocking them aside, but a third drove up directly beneath the staggered navi, grazing his body sharply as it thrust up; the soft grass seemed to have eased its path more than the other two, and it lanced past him with more force than the other two spikes seemed to possess.

As he was pushed aside slightly by the spire, Asymptote countered with a quick buster shot that did strip away the virus' leafy barrier without trouble, and cleared the way for him to assault it more directly with a much more ponderous piece of maths. His aim was good, but as he brought the hard numbers to bear, the knight gathered itself and sprang up into the air again, sending a dull thump through the ground as it leapt, and leaving the poor navi to hit nothing but air. Fortunately, he wasn't alone in this, as the two Shrubbies took the moment to aim more logs in his rough direction; for them it really was only very roughly in his direction, and both attempts fetched up against broken chess pieces before reaching their intended target. More important was the small mound in the ground directly before Asymptote, where the knight had just jumped up; a small red light flashes rhythmically from the spot and beeped occasionally.

There was no time for pondering this extra worry though, and asymptote moved off along the edge of the chess board, sticking to the grass, while the truly nightmarish knightmare reached the peak of its jump far above, still watching him, apparently with an eye to come crashing down on top of the offending navi. At the peak of its jump, its defensive barrier of leaves sprung back up again, shrouding the virus even as it began its rapid descent towards him.

Knightmare V1Knightmare V1 (Knightmare)

Knightmares are a combination of the Bagworm, Powie, and Miner viruses. This virus is rather simple: it looks like a bronzewood Knight chess piece. It attacks, moves, and dodges all at the same time.... which is accomplished by jumping.

Area: All

HP: 240
Element: Wood

Primary Attack Damage/Effect: (50 Wood + Seeking + Mine Trap) + (Dodge + High Alt)
Primary Attack Accuracy: S
Primary Attack Description: Jumps into the air, attaining High Altitude status. It leaves a Mine on the panel it jumped from. This can only be set off by someone stepping on the panel later. Knightmares are immune to their own mines. Panel break effects and ground attacks destroy the mine.

Secondary Attack Damage/Effect: 20 Wood + Impact + Break + Blast2
Secondary Attack Accuracy: C
Secondary Attack Description: Crashes down, causing a panel smashing blastwave. Knightmares are immune to their own attacks.

Tertiary Attack Damage/Effect: 10 Wood + Break + Ground Attack x 3 targets + (+10 Wood vs targets on Grass Panels)
Tertiary Attack Accuracy: C
Tertiary Attack Description: Stone spires erupt from the ground as a result of the previous hard landing.

Special: Raises LeafShield at the end of every turn as a free action.

Possible Rewards (Per Virus): WoodTower1, GreenWood1, Quake1, FootStomp, LeafShield, Mine1, Zenny
: 240 Hp [High Altitude][LeafShield][aiming to come crashing down on Asymptote]
ShrubbyShrubby (Shrubby)

Shrubby viruses take cover when they are not attacking. Shrubby viruses teleport from behind cover when attacking, but never at any other time. If there is nothing on the field to use as cover against an enemy, and the only other viruses on the field are Shrubbies or viruses that cannot provide cover against attacks, they will stop attacking and attempt to flee starting next turn. Later versions of the Shrubby virus carry rockcube chip data, and will use that to make new cover when none is available.

Area: ACDC, Okuden Valley, Dentech

HP: 50
Attack Damage/Effect: 10 Wood + Ground Attack + Attack Target Pair
Attack Accuracy: C
Attack Description: Rolls a 10 HP log at opponent. The log is 2 panels wide, and can cross broken or missing terrain if only one of the two panels it crosses is broken or missing. This attack can hit up to two side-by-side targets, and can stop direct incoming attacks, but is stopped by objects.
Element: Wood
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): RollingLog1, Zenny
Special: If the Ring Log falls into Sea Terrain, it will remain there and float as a 10 HP Wood Element object that covers two panels.
Special: If the Ring Log strikes an object, it will remain there as a 10 HP Wood Element object that covers 2 panels.
Special: If the Ring Log crosses a Lava Panel, it will burst into flame.

The navi grunted out as he ran away from the creature from hell, how did it dodge a point blank attack? Either way, he wasn't about to try and figure it out, it was high up in the air and he had no way to hit it right now. Grass crunching under his feet as he listened for the Knightmare, looking up as he could see it starting to come back down, beeping getting louder and louder from the panel the Knightmare had been on, rhythmically beeping faster and faster as Asymptote anticipated it coming back down.

A popup coming on Joseph's screen showed a simple message. FireBurn1. I have an idea to help deal with this, just need to hopefully time this right. It said, Joseph sighing out as he would slot the chip in for his navi, he was trying to see what else he could do for the forseeable future...but nothing came to mind. It was all his navi's and his intuition, intelligence and perseverance.

Asymptote would just glare at the Knightmare as it fell towards him, the navi calculating it's fall time and distance towards him. Standing his ground firmly on the grass beneath his feet, ready and willing to avoid it's attempted attack on him. Moments passed, seconds ticking by almost painfully for the navi as he waited, before a moment before impact. He would quickly move to the right on the grass, legs lifting him several meters into the air to the sides as he would attempt to take himself just far enough to avoid the attack from the Knightmare amalgamation that he was having trouble getting a bead on, falling head over feet as he did.

Quickly getting back to his feet, the navi would produce a tank full of napalm against his back, hands morphing into a thin barrel with a flickering flame in the front of the barrel and tubes coming out of the sides of the thin barreled gun, connecting up against the sloshing tank on his back. Staring down the monster in front of him with a look of utmost contempt for it's mere existence. Me might be monster...BUT YOU WORSE THAN ME! ME NO DELETE NAVIS! He yelled out, pressing the trigger down as the napalm began to pour down the barrel, shooting out of the thin nozzle and then lighting against the flickering flames right in front of it. Flames barreling out of the front, grass wilting and withering as the all consuming flames burned them down to nothing, leaving the ground bare and barren. Hopefully, the creature in front of Asymptote wouldn't be able to escape THIS so easily.

With the bronzewood monstrosity on the offensive, Asymptote and Joseph opted to cook up a more tactical approach to dealing with the violent virus. Cook being the operative word in this case. The navi picked his moment and dodged back as the over-sized chess piece crashed down, narrowly avoiding the knight itself and shrugging off the blastwave that followed without any problem. In the moment when it was exposed, he turned on it and unleashed a torrent of fire that scorched across his target, blasting through it and out across the chess board beyond.

It was at this point that the mathematical navi would be able to observe first hand the dangers of multiplicative weakness; The knightmare's leafshield caught fire, wreathing it in extra flames, as the grass beneath its base burst into a pyre from below; there came the sound of a terrified equine shrieking as the wooden piece caught alight, charring rapidly to ash and charcoal under the onslaught of flame from all sides.

A moment after the fire cleared, one of the shrubbies popped out of hiding again and looked for a moment as though it was about to release another log in Asymptote's direction, but hesitated. It looked at Asymptote, at the charred remains of the knight, at the blazed streak of damage that trailed in a line across the chess board, and the fact that this same attack had, apparently, obliterated another chess piece, and its compatriot shrubby as well into the bargain. It held its lips closed, turned about, then began to rapidly scuttle away across the field instead.

Asymptote breathed a sigh of relief as he watched the Knightmare in front of him burn alive and turn to ash under the weight of multiplicitive weaknesses he would flop down onto the ground as he looked at the line of fire that he had streaked across the chess board, apparently taking out a chess piece and one of the shrubbies that had been hiding the entire time. He'd then remember the existence of the GMD atop the Queen's head, so caught up in trying to delete the big fish in the battle he'd completely forgotten about it. And then there was the fleeing shrubby that he took a quick glance at.

Gonna let it go Asymptote? Joseph asked, watching it flee from the battlefield. No harm...no need... Asymptote replied, grunting as he got back up onto his feet, shaking his head. He'd begin to walk across the field towards the black queen on the other end of the field, a thought passing through Asumptote's mind about the FireBurn he'd used earlier, that line of flame was far more lengthy than he had thought, something he'd have to make a note of for later.

While Asymptote had been stomping his way through the field towards the GMD so he could open it, Joseph quickly slotted in a Recovery30 chip into his PET. The effects instantaneous as most of Asymptote's wounds would be quickly patched up. Asymptote would soon stop in front of the black queen, looking up as he reached upwards in an attempt to touch the data crystal to open it up for his secondary rewards...after waiting for the Shrubby to disappear from the field.

Actions
1: Movement to Black Queen/GMD
2: Recovery30 (Recover 30 HP, 140 HP total)
3: Open GMD after Shrubby leaves.
With its comrades thoroughly torched, the Shrubby fled the scene, without much pursuit by the rampaging Asymptote, oddly enough, who simply elected to let it go. His operator patched him up slightly as he decrypted the green data crystal atop the dormant black chesspiece. While it revealed itself to be a cache of zenny, part of the chesspiece virus from earlier coalesced into a small bit of useful data, in the form of an opaque black disk. Perhaps it could be converted into Battlechip data?

Grunting as he retrieved the cache of zenny within the green data diamond, the navi looked around, seeing nothing else was there besides the chess pieces that were out and about, if not completely toppled over from all the action. Asymptote would begin to gather up the junk data that could be converted into zenny, though the black disk he picked up was something else, sending it immediately to Joseph who damn near had a heart attack from what Asymptote picked up, that was quite the high power for the chip he managed to pick up, maybe he'd use it next battle, he seemed hearty and hale enough for another round.

(Battle 5, 140 HP)
After wrapping up the decidedly less-destructive-than-expected battle, Asymptote moved further onwards into the ACDC network, and stumbled into the main block that housed the city simulation areas, with paved asphalt roads and nondescript buildings simulating the real world of downtown ACDC. It even simulated the few cracks in some of the streets here and there. Being a simulation, it decidedly didn't have as many outwardly-showing residents, as most of the building interiors simply led to secured transfer pads into a separate private netspace, usually a resident's homepage. Thus, most of the ones walking the streets were viruses, and the occasional Prog or Navi walking by. However, this time around, the streets seemed oddly deserted, even from the usual.

"SHUT UP JORDAN, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR RETARDED 'OPINIONS' ON ANYTHING ABOUT BLADECRAFT ONLINE AGAIN, IF YOU CAN'T ACCEPT THAT SHE'S A WHORE THEN YOU CAN GO FUCK YOURSELF."

Around the corner of an intersection, Asymptote could hear some loud yelling going on. From looking around, he saw a Navi screaming in what seemed to be an argument with his operator. The Navi was clad in a thin black chestpiece armor, over a dark grey bodysuit. A black streamlined helmet covered his head, with his eyes obscured by a translucent red visor. A brownish-red cloak, shredded almost to pieces, hung from his shoulders, covering part of his neck and going down to nearly his feet. The cloak blew strongly from some unknown wind source, even though Asymptote himself couldn't feel anything at all. The force of all the yelling seemed to be the reason for why the block was so deserted, as it grated at Asymptote's ears even in the short time period that he heard it. His approach hadn't gone unnoticed, as the Navi turned around to look at him once he got a bit close.

"OH, WHAT'S THIS? A CHALLENGER TO THE STRONGEST NETFIGHTER IN THE NETWORLD? PATHETIC! WHAT'S A GIANT RAGDOLL LIKE YOU EVER HOPE TO FACE DARKSPIRITZERO, THE DARKEST SOUL TO EVER WALK THE NET? I'M IN A REALLY BAD MOOD RIGHT NOW, SO I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS SO HARD YOUR MOM'S GONNA FEEL IT IN HER STOMACH. GET MY ATTACKS READY, JORDAN!"

With the tirade, "DarkSpiritZero" pointed dramatically in Asymptote's direction with a menacing grin (or as menacingly as he could manage), and readied his stance for battle. "BATTLE ROUTINE, SET, EXECUTE!"

As the massive navi wondered about, he'd finally make it to some sort of residential district, a few cracks in the floor making him a little apprehensive about moving around needlessly. His stomps as he walked causing no small amount of quaking in the network as he looked to pass by as quickly as he could, just so he wouldn't be mistaken for...something dangerous...he didn't need that on his plate right now. Until this...shrill...ear bleedingly annoying voice could be heard. Something about whores and this stupid "Bladecraft Online"...Asymptote never really cared about that sort of stuff, but before he could get away, he'd have been spotted. And immediately, assumptions brought down anything he could have possibly thought of getting away.

Asymptote could only bury his metal plated face in his massive hands as he thought of a way, ANY way to get out of crushing this child's navi. On the other end, all Joseph could think was Jordan? Isn't that one of the students I taught? Nah...couldn't be, must be a coincidence. Is what passed by the teacher's mind as he thought. I suppose we don't exactly have a choice in the matter, Asymptote. We're not getting out of this fight...and I can't jack you out. You have to fight unless you want to run away...but I don't know how well that could go. He seems completely adamant on fighting. Joseph said simply, rubbing his chin. I don't care how you conduct yourself this time Asymptote. You could try to scare him away, but I don't think it'll work. He seems to be a black hole of bravado and idiocy. He commented, loud enough that his opponent could probably hear him.

Asymptote let out a little chuckle at his netop's jab at this moron in front of him. As a teacher, he thought, it was his job to stamp out stupidity. As a teacher's aide, it was about the same. Well. This was going to be fun. Asymptote would bellow out as he put his hands to his sides, fingers curling up into fists as he got into a battle stance, spreading his legs as he glared at the navi in front of him. Bravado...and Idiocy...Sounds like it. He commented aloud at DarkSpiritZero. ASYMPTOTE ACCEPTS YOUR CHALLENGE, PUNY! Asymptote yelled out, smashing his fists together. BATTLE ROUTINE! Set! EXECUTE! The two shouted in unison. The two would show this little bastard what a navi and netop could do when in perfect unison. A new feeling flooding their bodies as they began their confrontation with this navi.

Asymptote would bellow out a feral roar as he began to pound his chest, feet stomping the ground beneath him as he began to run towards the left in an attempt to flank the annoying navi, Joseph quick at hand to grab a couple chips from the side. Asymptote's feet quaking the ground under him with every step, a loud BOOM, BOOM, BOOM could likely be heard from outside the secured houses if they listened closely. Sending chips Asymptote. Just try and hold on until I grab the better ones. Joseph shouted out, two loud clicks could be heard in the back of Asymptote's head. This is where the fun began.

Letting out a roar of anger at DarkSpiritZero, Asymptote threw his left arm forward, fingers closed together and his palm thrust outwards. Loud cracking noises could be heardacross the area, fingers slowly melding together as his hand's fingers began to curve backwards, snapping and crackling heard in the air as the hand soon began to take shape of a shield, a yellow and white shield could be seen taking shape as the monstrous navi's hand, red pulsing veins could be seen coursing over the top of the Metool-based aloy, giving the shield a look of living, breathing metal. And then with his last chance to be offensive, Asymptote began to stomp on the ground as hard as he could, to anyone watching, it would look like him just stomping on the ground just for the sake of stomping upon the ground. But as soon as he jumped and slammed into the ground, shock-waves could be felt coursing over the top of the field as a whole, and to the untrained eye, looked like nothing. But to Asymptote, he had just planted a bunch of mines across the terrain they were fighting atop of, all of them connected to each other and as soon as his opponent stepped upon it, would all explode at the same time, with only the one panel DSZ tripped over doing any real damage to him. COME AT ME LITTLE BOY, TEACHER HAS A PAINFUL LESSON FOR YOU! LESSON ONE: DON'T PICK ON SOMEONE BIGGER THAN YOU! Asymptote taunted the navi, flipping him off with a hidden grin behind the metal helmet.

"OKAY, I'M TIRED OF LOSING ALL THE TIME! EAT THIS! MY GREATEST TACTIC YET!"

His challenge accepted, DarkSpiritZero raised his arms in front of him, and formed two huge balls of dark energy, swirling with what felt pulsating madness. Even with Asymptote shaking the ground with each of his stomps, he could also feel the air vibrate from the gathering darkness. The energy slowly changed shape as it coalesced into large black disks, both pointed forward at Asymptote. As soon as Asymptote got his Guard1 up, however, the attack was complete and ready to launch.

"HERE IT IS! DOUBLE REFLECTOR ZERO!"

With all the stomping Asymptote was doing, and DarkSpritZero's show of force, it really appeared as if they were about to release some enormously powerful attacks or some other. Unfortunately, that didn't really happen, and they just ended up staring at each other with shields raised-- DarkSpiritZero having one more than his opponent-- looking like a couple of idiots. Asymptote threw out his taunt afterwards, causing DarkSpiritZero to also pound on the ground, but accompanied with some haughty laughter, not anger, as he had anticipated.

"WHAT... WHAT WAS THAT? TEACHER? WOW, THAT REALLY WAS PATHETIC! TAKE THIS! GUARD ATTACK, RELEASEEEEE!"

A bit of silence pervaded throughout the area, after all the yelling and stomping. "...? RELEASEEEEE!"

Another awkward pause.

"RELEEEEEAAAASSEEEE!"

Evidently, there wasn't really anything that was going to happen, as DarkSpiritZero looked frustrated at the black disks he was holding up. His cape billowed uselessly behind him as he threw down one of the disks at the ground. "WHAT THE HECK, THESE THINGS ARE USELESS!" he yelled, as the disk clattered on the ground, and disappeared shortly after.

He stood there like an idiot, Guard1 on his hand as he waited for an attack that never came. The Guard data corroding and dissipating from his system as his hand returned to normal, clenching and unclenching his fingers as he watched the navi throw away one of those guards away, nothing happening as he didn't realize the obvious. The newly appointed teacher would sigh out as the vortex of stupidity that was DarkSpiritZero thought he could get away with trying to "unleash" his guard chips.

MORON! He called out, he wanted the navi to better himself, to actually provide a challenge. But the navi seemed so incompetent, so block headed that he couldn't realize the idea that Guards were meant to take an attack and then counter attack. DO YOU NOT READ CHIPS?! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF INFORMATION!? He continued, berating the navi immensely for his idiocy. GUARDS COUNTER ATTACKS! YOU CAN'T USE THEM ON THEIR OWN, THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING THAT WAY! He continued his berating, angry at how stupid the navi was at something so simple. BE IN SYNC WITH YOUR NETOP! OR DO YOU AND YOUR NETOP NOT HELP EACH OTHER?! Asymptote panted, fists shaking angrily at the idiot of a navi in front of him. He couldn't stand this sort of idiocy. Or lack of trust or even communication between navi and op. The navi staring with a mixture of hatred and pity for his opponent. EVEN IF I HAVE TO BEAT IT INTO YOU, I'LL MAKE YOU LEARN HOW TO ACTUALLY FIGHT. EVEN IF I HAVE TO CAVE YOUR SKULL IN AND GIVE YOU A BRAIN!

The massive navi would begin to summon his signature program into his system, a rumble of power could be felt collecting around him, a faint green color coalescing around him. Folding his arms across his nearly bare chest, a twinkle could be seen in his bloodshot, crimson red eyes. Pupils shrinking into little black dots as he roared out again like a feral animal. AS OF TODAY, YOU WILL BE MY PUPIL! AND YOU SHALL LEARN HOW TO ACTUALLY WIN A FIGHT, LIKE IT OR NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOT! He yelled out angrily, bracing himself as he stared down the dimwit in front of him. LESSON TWO: NEVER ANNOUNCE YOUR ATTACKS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY DOING! He screamed, the low pitch of his voice causing the area around him to quake. Stomping his feet, he rushed towards his self-made pupil. The ground quaking as if a stampede of large creatures rushed upon DarkSpiritZero, ground quaking loudly with every step he took towards the navi in front of him.

His arms glowing with a bright green color, fingers clenched tightly into fists, tightly enough a little trickle of blood could be seen dripping onto his fingers as he rushed the hopeless navi full on from the front. NOW...GRIT THOSE TEETH! He screamed, bobbing to the side at the last second he could, feet stomping full force onto the ground as he reared his arms back, and then with a swift movement, attempted a right hook into DarkSpiritZero's face with his left arm, knuckles aimed straight for the navi's face dead on for the middle, whilst his right attempted to make contact with the guard he had equipped. Asymptote would take a little bit of damage, probably to the tune of ten damage, but it was better than taking anything more than that.

SUMMARY
*Buff: 11 (Added to Mathmatical Headache)
1: Fient towards DarkSpiritZero
2: Mathmatical Headache--->DSZ (40+11+Break, Melee, 2TCD)
3: Buster Shot--->DSZ (10)
Being lectured on his inability to read Battlechip descriptions didn't do wonders for DarkSpiritZero's wrath, as he rebutted loudly. "WHY DO I NEED TO READ? EVERY CHIP SHOULD JUST BE FOR ATTACK. AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN THAT STRONG, YOU HAVEN'T EVEN HIT ME YET, "TEACHER"! COME ON, "TEACHER"! HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT!" he taunted, laughing all the while. At this moment, Asymptote chose to do just that, charging directly in his direction. Unfortunately, during his rush to discipline his errant self-proclaimed pupil, he failed to notice a large crack in the middle of the road, which, with all of his stomping, caused it to cave in under the force of his weight.

Falling into the hole, it seemed like he would be a bit incapable of reaching DarkSpiritZero with his fists. It seemed like DarkSpiritZero himself wasn't expecting it either, as he seemed a bit stunned that Asymptote would just fall through the floor like he had just done. Of course, that didn't last for long, as he let out a loud cackle. "PFFF--HA-HAHAHA! YOU FELL INTO MY CAREFULLY LAID TRAP! FEEL THE WRATH OF MY NEXT ATTACK! JORDAN! SEND ME MY DARK CANNON!"

Reaching in front of him, he began to gather a mass of black energy once again, which began to solidify into a deep purple Cannon arm. However, shortly after its materialization, Asymptote saw the purple color wash away slightly, revealing it to not be a fabled DarkChip, but a simple green Cannon. "FIRE!" he yelled, firing it towards Asymptote. Fortunately, Asymptote's stumble had left his Guard shield slightly raised, and the attack was reflected back at DarkSpiritZero himself with a lightning-fast shockwave. The attack caused him to stumble backwards on his rear.

"OW! FRICK! WHAT THE HECK?! HAX! HAX! YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!!" Asymptote heard his opponent curse. He took the chance to follow it up with a buster shot of his own against DarkSpiritZero's shield. Fortunately, with Asymptote's earlier intimidation factor, however, the reflection did pretty much nil in terms of damage, taking out the defense without much incident.

Asymptote would grumble out loudly as he had fallen into such an obvious trap, granted, he didn't see it until the last second. Regardless, he grabbed the back of his head from the tumble, rubbing it slowly as he got himself righted back onto his feet, hearing the young asshole yell about something or other, his Guard certainly helped with dealing with things. Though he doesn't remember it being there with him, not that was complaining about it. Either way he had to climb out. Incredibly stoic about the whole thing.

Sorry about that Asymptote. I must have turned my head for a second and not noticed that cracked panel there. Joseph apologized as he began to go through their chips, wondering what to upload next. Not your fault...Blinded...by rage... Asymptote admitted, panting out as he began to jump at the top of the hole, probably a bit taller than he was as he grasped at what all he could on the sides of the hole to help him climb out of the hole, feet kicking in at the panel's insides to help grab him a foothold, grunting as he slowly climbed himself out of the broken panel, grunting as he readied himself mentally for whatever was to come next.

SUMMARY
1: Climb out of hole
----TURN SPLICE----
As Asymptote pulled himself out of the hole that he had found himself in, he found DarkSpiritZero waiting for him, with a twin-barreled buster arm readied. Judging from how it looked to pulse and radiate dark energy, it seemed rather intimidating, though from previous experience, one could probably tell that it was mostly just fluff. Regardless, the Navi himself was undeterred, cackling all the while as he managed to peek out of the hole. "FUFUFUFU, HAHAHAHA! GROVELING AT MY FEET, HACKER? FEEL MY JUSTICE! SUPER SHOTGUN MARK ONE!" he bellowed, firing the buster arm and blowing off a decent chunk from Asymptote's shoulder. (-50) In all of his mirth, however, the Navi was left rather unprotected, which could be a decent opening for Asymptote to mount a counteroffensive.
