" It would have worked if you reacted quickly enough."
No it wouldn't have -- but of course Jake wouldn't admit that.
Scanning his Navi's surrounding's again, Jake noticed the head of the Cacty "magically" reappearing over its body, after Warrior had thrown it.
" ... Well that's handy."
" What is?"
" The Cactus Virus. Its head respawns a second or two after leaving the body, so that means..."
Time to test Warrior's wit, again. Jake intentionally left that statement unfinished -- and Warrior was quite familiar with the ending clause by now (this wasn't the first time he'd used it).
There were a few seconds of silence as Warrior tried to figure out what Jake was implying that he do. He'd kept his attention on the Cactus and the Bushes, incase any more flying objects came at him, until like a lightbulb, his face lit up with a wide grin and wide eyes as he deciphered the clue Jake had given him.
He raised his claw to attempt to grab the Cacty he was standing next to in the same manner as he had done before, so as not to get impaled by its thorns, as he announced his answer.
" Infinite-Ammunition."
Not literally, but figuratively. Warrior had planned on throwing the Cacty Head at each of the bushes in the area -- and since the Head would respawn over the body, he would simply wait for that to happen so he could immediately pluck the Head back off the Body and throw it at the next bush. It was like a bowling-ball dispenser, except that it didn't dispense bowling-balls. So it really wasn't like one at all.... but you get the point.
He'd repeat this attempt as many times as it took -- being careful not to get too anxious at each attempt to grab the head, and also being wary of any sudden movements the Cacty could make, as it respawned.
It was almost depressing not being able to make use of that log lying on the ground, but then again it'd be kind of stale to use the same log-swinging technique twice in a row, wouldn't it? On the other hand, maybe Megami was sooo impressed by the way Warrior used his Log earlier that she'd try to emulate it (assuming she had the strength to pick it up like he did). That'd actually be quite entertaining to watch...
But enough tangents.
If all went according to plan, Warrior trusted Megami to still have some good Chips prepared to finish off whatever would be forced out of the bushes.
