Megami's absentminded gaze put Warrior in a captivated state of his own, soaking up the alluring mesmerized-expression of her face with his wide-opened, golden eyes. It was strange that, if one were to notice, his pupils actually sharpened instead of dilating -- opposing the natural subconscious display of infatuation. His smile grew slightly wider as he noticed the trees popping up everywhere.
[sub]" ... Just like in a movie."[/sub] Now if only there were a bench for them to sit at and a large moon to look to amidst the "romantic" scenery.
" ... Warrior!"[sub]" Not right now."[/sub] Nature was working in his favor, for once. And Megami's stare -- in Warrior's mind -- was in reaction to her thoughts about
him. Things were actually going
well.
" Warrior! In the bushes!"" That would be... kind of sudden... don't you thin-- No! Look in the bushes!" Remorsefully taking his attention off of Megami, Warrior turned his head to the brush, only to see bright yellow, glowing eyes staring back at him.
[sup]" No such thing as privacy nowadays, huh?"[/sup]" I can't tell what's in there, so you need to find a way to make it show itself."" Got it..."" Perhaps it can show!" Warrior had reached his hand behind his shoulder, gripping the hilt of his weapon that had been kept there -- but before he could draw it to attack, he noticed Megami's hand in front of his body, signaling him to stand back.
" ... Are you sure you can--" Before he could finish, a massive Boomerang digitalized in his face, gripped tightly by the hand that had held him back. A smile came back over Warrior's face, no doubt impressed by the weapon.
" Not bad."Better than he could do, actually... but of course he wouldn't
say that. As Megami made her step forward and requested her space, Warrior simply nodded, and turned his own back to her, simultaneously to when she had thrown the boomerang.
" Take your hand off the sword, Warrior. You won't be needing that." Back-to-back with Megami, Warrior actually began feeling vey confident as well, regardless of the group they found themselves against. His smile quickly shrunk to a more worried frown as he noticed the
other types of virus present here.
" ... Cactuses."" Wood-Type. So keep your distance."" ... We don't have a lot of distance-keeping chips."" But we have some! Cannon! Battle Ch-- Give me the Rage Claw!" Warrior's request would be delayed, since Jake had already slotted in the Cannon Chip.
" I said keep your distance! Why do you want a Melee weapon!" Raising one hand in response to the Cannon Chip being sent to him, Warrior pointed his index and middle finger of the raised hand at the nearest Cactus Virus -- almost as if he was aiming at it with a finger-gun.
After having thought about it, Jake realized the bushes could be used as thrown-objects with Warrior's requested chip. Not a bad idea, actually.
" Alright, fire off the shot. Your chip's coming."Lime-green, tennis-ball sized orbs of data began gathering around Warrior's outstretched hand from out of the thin air around it. A second later, the data merged together to form the shape of an average cannon-head -- glowing solid green, and translucent enough that Warrior's hand was still visible inside of it.
As his thumb dropped (as if firing his "finger-pistol" while it was inside of the semi-transparent cannon), the green data rushed forth from his hand as a basketball-sized bullet that rocketed toward its target.
" Rage Claw!"During the recoil, Warrior's hand shot skyward and was kept there to accept the incoming Chip-Data from Jake. Just as before, a translucent red gauntlet adorned his arm along with two meter-length blades attached to the knuckle-end of the weapon.
Warrior immediately thrust his opposite palm in front of his body, summoning a faint protective barrier around him.
" Go for the closest brush and finish off the first Cacty!" Rather than obeying, Warrior turned his head back to see how Megami was fairing. He paused for a second as a mischievous grin spread across his face.
" I got a better idea!"" Warrior, what are you--?!"Jake's question was interrupted as Warrior leaped forward to the side of Megami -- being sure to keep out of the line-of-fire of her Shotgun Attack. He reached forward with his claw-arm, eyes locked on Megami's Boomerang is it was making its return trip from the Viruses she had thrown it at earlier.
[sub]" Don't miss... Don't miss... Don't miss..."[/sub] His mumbled motivation gave him determination as the Boomerang drew closer to his palm -- fingers ready to close shut immediately upon feeling the impact of the weapon. He had his Barrier as a failsafe incase the catch were to fail, but he'd hoped to use that for attacks he
wouldn't see coming.
Warrior wasn't entirely sure if this stunt would even work, but if it
did, he had his next action fully planned.
Should his gambit succeed, he'd immediately turn back around to hurl the massive Boomerang at the Cacty he'd shot his Cannon at earlier -- careful not to hit Megami as he swung his arm in a vertical motion. The throw would being intended to give the Boomerang's trajectory a
vertical arc, rather than wide horizontal one.
Every spec of precision would be put into the throw, and every ounce of his strength, so that when the weapon left his hand, it would soar through the air almost invisibly -- spinning so quickly that it reflect no light as it whistled its way to its destination. The only visual evidence of its presence would be the glowing green after-images it produced in its trek -- each after-image would dissipate quickly enough that only three were ever visible at once.
Upon the desired impact of the throw, the Boomerang would shatter with either the ground, the target, or with Warrior's hopes and dreams of even pulling the technique off -- which ever fate decided.
