With his prey now reduced to crumbling wrecks of fragmenting data, the beast Navi trudged onward and over the bridge. He eyed the edges cautiously, but he continued to walk confidently across. His head spines occasionally twitched, while his tail gently swayed to and fro as he continued deeper into the Net.

((Requesting Battle #4))
It was too bad for KaijuMan that this bridge had come up. After all, who had ever seen a giant monster walk across a bridge? It didn't seem like a safe idea from the standpoint of maintaining structural stability, but thankfully, the bridge seemed sturdy.

Unfortunately, the bridge also seemed POPULATED BY VIRUSES. Three cactus viruses sat at the center of the bridge, forming a small wall in front of KaijuMan. Two fishies circled around like buzzards on the outside edges of the bridge.

-- BATTLE 04, START! --
KaijuMan paused as he saw the viruses appear around him on the bridge. His heavy body came to a halt, and he brought his tail down hard to the ground. The metal brace near the tip of his tail smashed against the ground with a loud clang. He eyed his prey in front of him and started to snarl, revealing his sharpened white teeth. The spines on his head twitched excitedly before his NetOp appeared next to him in a pop-up window.

[Hey Kai, those cactus-lookin' viruses toss parts of themselves at you, and they'll be perfect candidates for a good chomping.]

KaijuMan grunted in acknowledgment, blowing steam out of his nostrils.
[In the meantime, give 'em a nice shockwave, and try to take down one of those Fishy viruses with the magbolt.]

As John slotted in the pair of chips, Kaijuman raised one of his scaly, clawed feet before he brought it down on the ground with a loud thud. A shockwave rippled outwards, but the most damaging pulse rocketed out towards the Cacty viruses in an attempt to whittle down their health. The beast Navi then turned towards the right-most Fishy virus, and his eyes started to glow. The glow became more and more intense until two thin beams of what seemed to be just light burst from his eyes towards his target. If they hit, the fishy would have started being pulled towards Kaijuman, like a tractor beam of sorts. However, the only reason to pull the virus close was to allow the stored electrical power in Kaiju's body to arc from him to the virus, delivering a massive shock.

After attempting to blast the Fishy out of the sky with electrified eyebeams, KaijuMan eyed the Cactys hungrily, waiting for one of them to attack, straight into his waiting jaws. His teeth started to heat up in anticipation, so much so they started to glow red, then to a bright white. The air around his head became distorted by the heat ripples as he waited for them to strike.

ACTIONS:
1. Shockwave: CactyA,B,C (40dmg + Ground Attack + Line Attack)
2. Magbolt1: FishyA (90dmg Elec + Stun + Magnet Pull)
3. Drain Crunch: CactyA,B, or C (whoever attacks first) (30dmg Fire Lifedrain + 1TCD)
KaijuMan, evidently not pleased with the viruses in his way, made his way onto the bridge ready to battle. After receiving quick orders, the hulking Navi lifted one large foot before bringing it down hard on the bridge. The ensuing shockwave sped across the bridge, causing a ripple effect until it passed through one of the Cacty viruses and out of sight. After that, he gave one of the Fishys an electric glare (literally). The magnetic attack yanked the unsuspecting virus in and promptly electrocuted it to deletion.

As KaijuMan prepared his final attack, one of the Cactys was already sending its head for an assault run. That run was short-lived as KaijuMan bit down on the virus and put an end to it. This was more than enough to make the remaining viruses somewhat hesitant to attack again.

KaijuMan managed to down two of the viruses, but he still had ways to go. He noticed his shockwave hit only a single Cacty, and realized he needed to reposition himself if he hoped to line them up for a good shot. His body quickly went into motion and lurched to the side of the bridge.

John, give me that shotgun and rageclaw chip.
John was getting used to his Navi's abrasive personality, but he'll probably teach him the word "please" eventually. He shrugged it off as he slotted in the requested chips.

He continued to move to the farthest edge of the bridge in an attempt to line up the Cacty viruses. He slid to a stop as he reached his destination, and turned towards the viruses ahead. He partially opened his mouth, allowing one to see an orange glow. The light became brighter and brighter as he slowly closed his mouth; the light could only peek around his teeth for a brief moment as he lined up his targets.

He slightly reared up before he lunged forward and opened his mouth. As he did so, an orange glowing projectile shot from his mouth and rocketed towards the viruses. The projectile exploded on impact and sprayed the area with shards of energy shrapnel. He knew it would take more than a shotgun blast to take down the viruses, and had a plan to finish them off.

He glared at the viruses, almost daring them to attack as the serrated, claw-like blades on his right forearm swung into place with a metallic *clink*. The blades moved in unison with his fingers, and raised his arm in preparation. If the Cacty viruses attacked like they did before, they would literally roll right into KaijuMan's hand. If he managed to catch one, he would then chuck it like a dodge ball towards the other Cacty, and hopefully bring both down in one attack.

ACTIONS:
1. Strategic Movement: Move to the right side of the bridge to line up the remaining Cacty viruses
2. Shotgun: CactyA,C (50dmg + Splash2)
3. RageClaw1: CactyA to CactyC (20dmg + Impact)
Slowly lumbering along the Cacty viruses, KaijuMan first blasted the tar out of one of them, spreading to the back as the energy burst on impact. The RageClaw later managed to delete the first Cacty, but the second survived out of sheer luck as it rolled by. The Fishy tried to dash at him, but strangely missed for some reason.

KaijuMan had only 2 more enemies left, and was ready to deal the finishing blow. John slotted in his final battlechip to the PET, and alerted his Navi.
[Just uploaded the ZapRing data to you. Finish 'em off!]

The Navi seemed to smirk in response, then turned towards the Fishy virus ahead of him. He opened his mouth as bolts of electricity jumped amongst his sharp teeth, and a growing yellow halo appeared in his mouth. It was only a few seconds before the halo almost became too big for the Navi's mouth, and shot towards the Fishy, leaving a trail of sparks as it went.

He tried to keep the Fishy in his peripheral vision as he shifted focus to the Cacty virus. His blades were still deployed and ready for action, and were waiting to sink into viral flesh. He knew sooner or later the virus would have to attack, and he would use that opportunity to scoop up the Virus's orb-like head and bean the hopefully immobilized Fishy viruses with it. That should be enough to finish off the cactus-like virus, but he planned on following up the strike with a lunging bite with super-heated teeth to take down the flying virus. The heat produced from his glowing teeth would literally melt the virus's hide, and cause the virus to lose energy, which he himself can use.

ACTIONS:
1. Zapring1: FishyB (40dmg Elec + Stun)
2. RageClaw1: CactyC to FishyB (20dmg + Impact)
3. Drain Crunch: FishyB (30dmg Fire Lifedrain + Self Slow + 1TCD)
Firing a small yellow ring from his mouth, KaijuMan zapped the Fishy with some electrifying attack, which zapped the bird into a state of shock. Afterwards, he threw down the Cacty towards the Fishy, which managed to zoom past just in time to have the Cacty land just shy of its wing. A devastating blow was dealt next after some heated jaws clamped down on the Fishy and drained it of its health. Unfortunately, it was still alive, and was determined to live.

The fishy still managed to avoid deletion, which only fueled KaijuMan's frustration and desire to finish it off. He glared at he virus through his amber reptilian eyes, and snarled as he spoke
Don't make me chase you, pest.

He turned towards it and crouched down, compressing his legs like a pair of heavy springs. He then shifted his weight forward and made an explosive leap into the air, towards the Fishy virus. He wasn't exactly agile, especially in the air, but he tried to adjust his trajectory to land at least near the virus, if not directly on top of it. If he didn't manage to get close enough, he still had more than enough energy left to make a lumbering sprint towards the enemy. His claw-like blades were ready for use, and he drew his arm back as he approached his prey.

As soon as he got close enough, he twisted his body to the left as he drove his right arm forward in a piercing thrust, attempting to get as much reach as he could to deal the finishing blow to the flying virus.

ACTIONS:
1. Strategic Movement: Leap towards FishyB
2. Strategic Movement: Move into Melee range of FishyB
3. RageClaw1: FishyB (40dmg + Slashing)
Despite landing not terribly far from the Fishy, the virus had no intentions of giving up without a fight, and decided to get in one last strike. Too bad for it KaijuMan's timing with RageClaw proved virtually flawless. And when your plane of existence was based inside computers, that was usually the best kind of flawless.

=== BATTLE FOUR, COMPLETE ===

Rewards: 550z
KaijuMan made a satisfied huff as he towered over the remains of his enemies.
Another one down.

John's comm window opened next to his Navi.
[Good work, Kai. You're getting better each battle, it seems. How about we take a break and use some of the spoils we've gained?]

KaijuMan's spines twitched as a scowl formed on his face.
What? No! I want more! I won't stop until I level this place!
[Yes, yes, I know that. But think about this for a moment: What happens when you do reduce this network to ashes?]

His scowl fades; he's never really thought about it before, and definitely hasn't been asked that question. He tilted his head to the side a couple times as he pondered.
Hrm... Um... I don't know yet! But I won't stop until I'm the only one standing!
[Well then, how about we give it a little time, so you'll figure out what you'd do after you conquer the net. It's not gonna run away or anything. Besides, these upgrades should allow you to unleash more of your power. Sounds pretty fun, don'tcha think?]

Though KaijuMan hated to admit it, and never will, his NetOp was right. He honestly had no clue what he'd do (and was unwittingly naive to think he could actually do it).
... Fine. I was getting bored anyway.

John pressed the log out button, and the ground immediately around KaijuMan started to rumble. The panels directly beneath him started to crack apart, revealing what appeared to be lava beneath him! John watched curiously as KaijuMan calmly dropped down in the out-of-place lava and started to 'sink' in. John realized this had to be some sort of custom log-out graphic effect, unsurprising for a Navi created as a quasi-movie prop. KaijuMan disappeared beneath the fake lava and logged out just as the graphic overlay shut down by making the tiles appear to slide back into place.
