Beginning of Viral Destruction!

Voulge and Splashlady decided to divide and conquer, which seemed fine to Lurkman and Vengeance as neither of them seemed to want to cooperate either. Before the battle even began, Lurkman suddenly faded from view and disappeared into his surroundings like a ghost. Voulge was distraught but not deterred and went after his target's last known position by summoning a pool of magma underfoot. In an instant, Lurkman faded back into view, hopping about the searing panels and trying to avoid being burned. Voulge was quick to answer with a DBLBEAM, flickering between two colours before settling on blue. A wave of healing data washed over Splashlady and Voulge as well as his support programs. Following up with a Magbolt, Voulge aimed his transformed magnetic Lancea at Lurkman and found its mark but found the attack completely ineffective. Lurkman's image disappeared from sight again.

A disembodied voice whispered a single word into Voulge's ear as if right beside him, "Fool."

Voulge instinctively snapped away from the voice but it was too late. A strong set of vines shot out of the ground and ensnared Voulge's legs with crushing force. Unfortunately for Licht, the attack proved too much for his systems to handle and he was forced to jack out. A fierce blow landed against Voulge's unprotected side nearly causing him to buckle over. He turned to face the source and found his shields being smashed apart by heavy blows. Fortunately, the lava proved too hostile an environment for the vines to survive and Voulge was freed from their hold. He stumbled away from his invisible attacker and concentrated on his next attack.

Meanwhile on Splashlady's side, an Elewasp was shot towards Vengeance and assaulted him viciously with its electric stinger. Vengeance seemed too preoccupied activating a FastGuage to dodge the pseudovirus, but was more than able to evade the ball of water that Splashlady attacked with next.

"Impressive, drawing first blood, but you should worry about your ally as well."

A cluster of four energy bolts shot from Vengeance's hands towards Voulge but his movements prevented all but a single shot from landing. Vengeance frowned at his inaccuracy and rediverted his attention back to Splashlady, who had since activated her own FastGuage. The aerial navi brought a V-Gun into play and fired, only to find the attack deflected by a yo-yo. The spinning blade caught the cocky navi off guard and managed to slash him twice before retracting. The second yo-yo was not as successful and missed its mark entirely as Vengeance backed out of range.

Vengeance was badly injured but seemed pleased with that fact as he praised his opponent, "Remarkable. It looks as if I won't need to hold back."

At his words, Splashlady immediately pulled up a thick iron shield and went on the defensive.

After a moment, it seemed like nothing was about to happen. Deciding to take advantage of the situation, SplashLady peered out from behind her shield, to get a good feel for the battle thus far. Her opponent, what's-his-name, had definitely taken some damage from her first assault. Voulge seemed to be faring worse, but he was a tough Navi...he'd figure things out, definitely.

"Remarkable. It looks as if I won't need to hold back."

...What the? Did what's-his-name just...compliment her? And he was holding back? The mermaid Navi couldn't help but look slightly nervous at that comment. Still, better not show any weakness to the enemy. Or something like that. "H-Hey! If you're not going to go full power from the start, then just quit already! I don't have time to worry about someone that fools around!"

"Oh sure, great idea, make him mad at you..." Ugh, SplashLady did NOT just do that. The last thing Sabrina wanted was to make things even harder. After all, it was nerve wracking enough as is. "All right, we're going to go for broke, and try to beat that guy right here, right now! And if everything goes right, we'll help Voulge out, too! How does that sound?"

"Pretty good, really..." The sooner he was out of the picture, the better, if you asked her.

"All right, then! Okay, you're at max HP, so I think THAT chip could be a good idea!" Two chips, neither of which had any obvious meaning from their pictures, were slammed by the operator into her PET. "Hurry it up, before he suspects anything! Battlechip, AreaGrab! Battlechip, NumberBall! Double slot in!"

SplashLady vanished from behind her defensive stronghold, and reappeared in the more offensively friendly position of right next to her foe. Without delay, she extended her left palm, creating a large ball with '75' on it, which traveled forward in a straight line. It didn't end there, as two more identical spheres were summoned forth, and sent flying towards, uh...what's-his-name. Ugh, that was going to bug the heck out of her until she remembered.

"Now, to avoid most forms of counterattack!" As everyone knows, the greatest defense...is fists. Hence, a blue one was transferred from PET to Navi. "Battlechip, ColdPunch! Slot in!"

The Aqua Navi's spearhead changed shape, becoming essentially a handheld, fist shaped battering ram. Since that made it good for smacking things hard, she reared back, then attempted to slam the icy weapon into the gut of the opposing Navi, fist knuckles first. She bent over slightly, prepared to give chase to a potentially knocked away winded Navi.

However, she never got the chance, as Sabrina had decidedly different plans. "Perfect, SplashLady! Now sit tight for a sec! Battlechip, Totem2! Slot in!"

A single level, blue and green trimmed totem pole appeared in front of the mermaid Navi, who wasted little time in scramming from the object, and returning back to the IronShield that was better at protecting her from harm. The pseudo-Totam would probably be fine, anyway; that firebreathing attack could keep almost anything at bay for a while, even her. As for her, however...well, no. She wasn't going to just sit around and wait to be attacked. She'd already done a lot of attacking that turn...so it was pretty unlikely that he'd expect something else, especially since it looked like she was going on the defensive.

ColdPunch's blue fist disappeared without a trace, leaving behind the dull spear tip that normally invoked little fear in anything. However, it began to glow blue, as it suddenly began to be charged with Aqua energy. It took very little time to complete, as it only took a few seconds before SplashLady peeked over one side of the metal shield, in an attempt to locate...dang it, still couldn't think of his name...and shoot a second blast of water at him. Now, where was he...

After gaining distance away from LurkMan, Voulge took a second to catch his breath and prepare for his next attack. "This battle will be much tougher than I thought...Fading in and out like that, we can't hit what we can't see." Marius crossed his arms while he leaned back on his chair, trying to think of ways to get around LurkMan's special ability. Meanwhile, Voulge created yet another shield, created from molten rocks that withstood the lava and tightly packed it into a two-layered shield. "We have no time to waste; I'll have to take the initiative!" While his target was still visible, the spearman tried to act now before more of his attacks would miss.

Holding his Lancea horizontal in front of him, Voulge closed his eyes momentarily and his spear transformed into a ceremonial spear, waving its lengthy red flag side to side as the heat from the lavas kept it up. "With our spear pointed towards the sun, we cast a shadow upon those who are vile." Voulge, slowly opening his eyes, began to murmur some sort of a chant. "We are the holy fire, refining the impurity from the true brilliance of the world." The flag began to wave restlessly from the intense heatwaves exerted from the spear, holding Voulge's emblem in the middle of it. "Those who stand in our way..." As the chant nearly came to an end, the intensity of the heat even began to boil the lava beneath Voulge. "WILL BE REDUCED INTO PATHETIC ASHES." His eyes opened wide, fitting a burning gaze that would strike fear into anyone who locked onto it, and the spear exploded with the powerful heatwave that swallowed anything that was near Voulge, including the invisible LurkMan if he was near Voulge.

Within the thick mirage, the image of Voulge couldn't be seen clearly and it looked as if there were multiple navis present within the blast radius. Before anyone could get a clear lock of where the three "Voulges" was, all of them dispersed into three separate directions and attempted to distract LurkMan into a more vulnerable state. "That should give us a definite advantage. Move away and attempt an attack with the following chips." Marius already loaded three chips into the PET as soon as Voulge's Aestus Intrico was finished, ready for the navi to use right away. What his operator asked, Voulge already had the same plan laid out and quickly slipped out from his general area with his Lancea transforming into a suitable gunlance.

Voulge bent down on his one of his knees and loaded a blue ammunition into the gunlance after he was able to gain a good distance away. "Ignis." A small call brought the hiding crystal's attention as it peeped up from his hiding spot. "Give me a supporting fire towards LurkMan. Go wild" From that short command, Ignis was already pumped up for battle as he was itching for some, already generating massive amounts of miniature fireballs around him. "LETS CHARBROIL THAT LITTLE LIZARD INTO SOMETHING TASTY."

Taking a glimpse through the iron sight of his weapon, Voulge quickly pulled the trigger to fire a blue artillery shelling towards where he once stood, hoping that LurkMan would still be distracted by the decoys he placed, and quickly loaded the next round. The shell exploded in mid-flight, separating into three different orb of water and widening the range of the attack and hopefully increasing the chance of hitting the invisible target. "GO TIME!" Like a roaring machinegun, the fireballs were also shot multiple times towards where Voulge fired before in a rapid succession, not even checking upon if the previous attack hit or not. However, Ignis had some confidence in his own attack as his control over the flames became a little more adept as he was able to control the direction of his attacks and direct it back at his enemies if it missed. "That's what you get for getting Licht!...*Sniff*, that poor bastard!"

The gunlance was ready for another shot, and Voulge needed to make this quick, as the previous attack most likely brought LurkMan's attention towards him and not at the decoys. He held the weapon with only his right arm, tucking the long handle between his sides and his arms, and prepared three throwing daggers on his left.

Lurkman flickered back into view for a moment before disappearing again as he had done before. Splashlady snapped out of sight before reappearing in close proximity to Vengeance while Vengeance leapt through his self generated portal and warped back into his sleek aerodynamic form. The shift seemed to repair some of his systems and give him a surge of strength and if his arrival was any sort of indication of his abilities, his speed would have also increased significantly.

Voulge somewhat lagged behind the fast paced transformations of the other navis. He created copies of himself to confuse his foe, but not being able to spot his enemy was an enormous hindrance to his tactics. His Bubble-V splashed against the floor and spread out, extinguishing even more lava in large bursts of steam. It didn't look as if Lurkman was caught in the splash but as an unintended side effect, the steam shaped itself around Lurkman's clear frame. He was in the middle of creeping up behind a clone before he realized he was spotted.

Meanwhile, Splashlady had unleashed a chain of numbered spheres into Vengeance. Only one of them managed to make contact in a large blast of smoke before the navi disappeared. The clang of her Ironshield being torn apart gave away his position. He had been one step too slow in ambushing her in the same way he had just been taken by surprise. They charged towards one another with the Coldpunch being narrowly avoided while a burst of energy beams only scratched her armour.

"You should save your melee attacks for slower opponents. You'll never catch me with that unless you bring down my movements or speed up yourself." Vengeance commented cooly.

Splashlady quickly summoned a Totem in response that belched out a jet of fire. However, it was too slow in catching Vengeance off guard and didn't seem in range of Lurkman.

Without her shields to protect her, Splashlady simply tried to avoid incoming attacks as she unloaded a ball of water at her opponent but Vengeance rushed her at an incredible speed, narrowly avoiding the attack and slamming past her with a devastating DashAttack.

On Voulge's front, Lurkman no longer held his advantage over Voulge and was being peppered by Ignis's shots. One of the support program's fireballs was evaded but a pair of Phoenixshots crashed into the navi one after another. He retreated back with a hiss but not before dropping a glowing ball onto the field. As he stepped out of the fading fog, Voulge lost sight of him again but knew he had dealt a massive blow.

"Well...I guess we figured out how to TAKE THIS ANNOYING BASTARD DOWN!"

Seeing how effective the previous assault turned out to be, thanks to pure chance with his Bubbler-V and the lava terrains, Voulge attempted to apply the same attack into the next attack. However, Marius realized how much SplashLady was having trouble with her enemy and quickly pointed Voulge towards her direction. "...Change of plan. Focus your attack on to the aerial enemy, SplashLady will have much easier time with LurkMan than us." Replying with a single nod, the spearman looked over at his partner and gave out a small call. "Splash, we're switching primary targets!"

Stabbing the Lancea straight into the ground after it transformed back into its original form, the normal panels beneath him underwent yet another terraform. The grounds cracked and swelled, quickly flooding the area with lava and covering even larger percentage of the area. With this, Splash wouldn't have too much trouble creating another layer of steam to reveal the hidden LurkMan, and it wouldn't hurt to create a layer of defense.

"Grr! This guy's really getting on my nerves!" It was like the battle with MachMan all over again, with all her attacks missing due to his speed. The steam, while watery, wasn't really helping her mood too much either, what with it being hot and all. "Sabrina! We're taking this guy down NOW!"

"Calm down! I'm not sending anything if you're so mad you can't see straight! You're barely hitting him as is!" Ugh, speed was NOT their specialty. Not when they were best at just launching everything but the kitchen sink at the enemy until they were gone. They needed a slower target so that they could do that...

"Splash, we're switching primary targets!"

The very instant before Voulge's suggestion, Sabrina came up with the same thing. "Perfect idea! LurkMan's a lot slower than Vengeance, so we match up a lot better!"

SplashLady shot a glare at the aerial Navi, before turning over towards where the lizard Navi had last been spotted. "......I guess so. All right Voulge, give this guy the beatdown he deserves for me, all right?"

And then...lava. And lots of it. And triggered by the Fire Navi himself. It didn't take long for the mermaid Navi to figure out what to do next. "Sabrina!"

"I'm on it! Battlechip, Bubbler! Slot in!"

Extending her left hand, which had become a bluish nozzle shape, she took aim upon her desired target, and fired a bubble blast towards it. Of note, however, was the target: the very magma that had just formed...

As Voulge flooded the area with another surge of molten rock, more of the surrounding normal panels were enveloped by the bubbling red mass. However, his recklessness sent the lava sweeping under Splashlady's feet before she could move away. It was unbearably hot and she hopped from one foot to the other trying to minimize her contact with the floor.

As before, Lurkman faded into view for a fraction of a second before creeping back under the cover of his invisibility. It was enough for Splashlady to get an approximate lock as she fired a Bubbler into the ground, setting off another mist reaction. Though not as powerful or widespread as Voulge's Bubble-V, it still seemed to do an adequate job of coaxing the reptilian navi out of hiding. His green body was still mildly hazy behind the steam but his position had appeared to have been compromised. In the meantime, Vengeance's jets produced a loud charging noise as he prepared to do something.

Ow. Ow ow ow ow OW. For lack of a better term, SplashLady was running in place, in an attempt to try and not get a severe case of hot foot. Needless to say, it wasn't going over very well. "Hot hot hot!" Er, considering it was her partner that created that lava, she should probably let him know she'd be okay, so his mind would be at ease. "Don't worry, Voulge! I can take it!...Ow ow ow..."

Well, if she was going to endure, that was one less thing for Sabrina to worry about. Now, to focus their efforts onto LurkMan, and try to end his participation in the battle. "All right SplashLady, are you listening?"

"Yeah! ...Stupid lava...ow..."

"Well, I've got an idea. First, use your Flood Cannon on that lizard freak! I'll tell you what's next after you've done that!"

Despite all of her foot movement, the mermaid Navi raised her spear, causing water to spontaneously form and collect in front of it. It didn't take long for it to blob into a large sphere, which resulted in her giving it a poke with her weapon. This triggered something within the mid-air water pool, causing it to rocket forward, eventually exploding in a large blast of water. However, while the attack seemed to go off without a hitch. the Navi that had created it seemed a bit troubled. "Ugh...maybe it's just me, but all that water I used for Flood Cannon seemed a lot warmer than usual..."

"Eh, doesn't really matter, does it? It's not like it evaporated 10 feet in front of you! But if it's really getting too hot for you...you should chill! And for that..." Woo, chip inserting time. It always made her feel important, somehow. Like she wasn't just standing there, watching her Navi taking out everything herself. "Battlechip, IceWave! Slot in!"

A freezing ball appeared in SplashLady's left hand, which was longingly viewed for a moment before she let it sail towards the lizard Navi. If only she could use it on her feet...but instead, she simply watched it undulate towards her new opponent, wishing it could've instead provide the relief of not having to stand atop molten lava. Oh well, maybe her operator had something else up her sleeve. "So, what's next?"

"Next? Uh, I didn't really have anything else planned, aside from you trying to not get hit. I mean, making any more steam might make things too difficult to see, you know? Just try thinking about really cold stuff!"

...Oh, that was just fantastic. Just try to ignore the water vaporizing liquid she was standing on. Great advice. ...Huh? What was that over there? Looked like...something yellow. Come to think of it, it looked very vaguely like that SeaSeed she used in the tournament, only more round and yellow. At any rate, she had her doubts about Voulge using it, considering yellow often meant something Elec-based. With that thought in mind, SplashLady twirled her spear a few times to stir up some more water, then slammed the H20 into the 'seed'. "All right, seriously, who thought we were stupid enough to not see that one?"

"LIKE WE'RE GONNA LET YOU!"

Ignis screamed as he saw Vengeance planning on his next attack, but Marius and Voulge gave him a lingering stare at the hiding SP, seeing how he shouldn't be the one who should be talking like that. "Well, it's obvious that it's preparing for an attack. For now, rely on the Aspis in front of you and go for an attack!" The operator prepared three chips on his hands, skillfully loading one after another in rapid succession, and watched as three loading bars quickly filled up and transferred into Voulge. "Your Will Be Done"

The spearman placed his palm on top of the spear while it was still lodged into the ground, the lava to be specific, and pushed it straight down. It was slowly submerging, evident as the chain attached to the Lancea was also sliding down into the lava, but Voulge had his focus on Vengeance other than his drowning spear. As the chain was rustling through his hand, his eye was at a full lock at the flying navi, quickly analyzing his flight path, behavior, speed, and all of the the tiniest details that could help improve the chance of his attack hitting its mark. This was almost a necessity as he saw SplashLady's previous attacks having little to no effect on the speedy navi.

"...!"

As the small sensation of the spear hitting the bottom surged through the chains and through Voulge's fingers, the navi took one large tug over his head to bring the spear back to his hands. Small droplets of red was dripping from the tip of the spear and the entire spear was literally burning as its intense heat met with the air to spontaneously combust, but Voulge had no problem handling it with only his right arm. In just seconds, the weapon transformed into a giant javelin, with its red-hot blade pointing straight at Vengeance, and it was thrown without a moments notice. The strength Voulge placed into the throw was powerful enough to create a towering wave of lava around him, also, his throw wasn't specifically speed centered, it also took in the careful calculation from before and applied it into the attack.

"Next Attack!"

With yet another tug, the Lancea came back to Voulge after the attack was done, and prepared for the 'next attack.' Still having his eyes tightly locked onto his target like a hunting lioness, Voulge simply standing and watching, not even budging from where he was standing. Ignis was curious about Voulge's quiet behavior and turned towards Marius to see if he could find anything. "H-hey...Isn't he gonna do anything rather than giving him the laser eyes?" Marius, seemingly confident about his plan, gave him the answer Ignis wanted...indirectly. "It's evident that our target can switch from a, let's say, "Battleroid" Mode and "Fighter" Mode. He was in his "Fighter" Mode just a moment ago, which means that he's like a fighter jet." The crystal SP only had a dull expression on him...He would, if he had a face. Voulge's greaves began to heat red as it was charging from the second chip Marius sent. "Traveling in breakneck speed, it would be pretty difficult to stop at its track, even if it's the supposed Cyber World." The spearman began a mad dash forward as his heated greaves gave him an immense speed boost and literally disappeared. As soon as he reached 88 MPH

There was an awkward silence on the battlefield, the only noises that could be heard was the roaring engine from Vengeance. "Burn" Blink of an eye was all the time Voulge needed to appear just few feet in front of Vengeance, already prepared to fire the Magnum Chip from his Gunlance as the end of the barrel was glowing red hot.

"Sure, he may take a harsh turn in the last second to dodge...But I'm willing to test him and Voulge's capabilities."

Splashlady endured the torment of having to stand her ground as she unleashed two powerful aqua attacks at Lurkman's form behind the mist. The Flood Cannon struck the patch of recently cleared of lava and managed to extinguish more of the hazardous terrain with bursts of steam while the Icewave soared after it. The sound of the ice shattering indicated a hit, but despite both of her attacks hitting their target perfectly, it was still ineffective against Lurkman.

"Ouch!" He mocked from the shadows, "...I died."

Splashlady took care of the Flashbomb with a quick pulse from her staff and watched the bomb disintegrate under the attack. At least she was sure that threat was taken care of. The Totem continued to spray fire until it was inexplicably torn apart from the inside out. Without a chance to spin around, it too was deleted in a flash.

Voulge had shifted targets and began to take aim at the rumbling Vengeance. Unfortunately for him, the noise reached its peak and the jet-like navi took off at fantastic speed. Voulge had a difficult time getting a lock. Regardless, he still fired his LavaCannon only to find it missing its mark, much to his dismay. As Vengeance made one quick lap around the field to demonstrate his capabilities, his speed picked up dramatically just as he soared by the group. An explosion of force spread from his acceleration in a sonic boom that simultaneously struck down both of Voulge's shields and damaged everyone else in the vicinity.

...Including Lurkman.

"Hey!" the sneaky navi growled "Watch where you're... Oh, right. Damnit."

"I don't play favourites." Vengeance replied before addressing the others, "But just because you two switched your targets doesn't mean I did."

He followed up his little piece of advice with a sudden volley of gunfire directed at Splashlady. Still under the effects of the FastGuage, Splashlady had no problem avoiding the few initial shots. She no longer had to continue dodging when Voulge teleported in front of him and took the remainder of the barrage at POINT BLANK RANGE. Fortuntely, Voulge didn't leave empty handed with their exchange and countered with an impressive Magnum that brought Vengeance down a significant peg.

"Protecting your ally," Vengeance muttered, "Noble... But foolish."

An advanced Airshot puntuated the end of his sentence and forcefully separated the two combatants. Voulge was launched backward and skidded along a few lava panels before coming to a halt along the normal ones.

"Call me what you will, but I'll gladly take more for the sake of my comrade!"

As soon as Voulge got back on his feet after crash landing on his own lava, debris and magmas began to gather into a single point, forming into a large earthly shield to be a temporary defense for the navi. However, defense wasn't particularly in Voulge's mind as his crimson eyes were burning hot with what could be rage, passion, or excitement. Marius immediately realized what his navi had in mind and prepared his part of the battle by grabbing four chips and inserting them into the PET. "Ignis, our enemy is on the edge! You'll provide the initial attack while Voulge prepares his!"

Rocketing out from where he was hiding, Ignis created another batch of fireballs for their initial attack. "BURN WITH A BANG!" There were dozens of fireballs at first, but it was all gathered into three, much larger ones that were in a constant spin. One by one, each fireball were let loose, zigzagging back and forth due to its powerful spin but they were traveling towards Vengeance with near-perfect precision. Ignis had full control over the fire he spewed, hoping to increase the chance that his attack would strike the speedy target down and finish it off before Voulge would have to lift a finger. As it got closer and closer to the Vengeance, the fireball changed its color into a fierce blue and literally exploded as soon as it came into to contact with something, whether it may be Vengeance or not. This was more for the sake of his own pride to get the kill for himself, rather than helping out his wounded leader, but that would be something to keep for himself with a hidden smile under his crystal body.

"I have a feeling that his attacks is going to miss...However, we can use that as an advantage. While the fireballs are distracting Vengeance, strike him down!"

Even before Marius' command, Voulge was already prepared for the assault with dual crossbows on his hands, already loaded with a particularly long, single steel bolt on both weapons. His eye was locked onto to his target, but rather than taking the time like last time, he simply relied upon the weapons capability. With a tug of the wooden trigger, the tight string sent the two heavy bolts in a blinding speed at Vengeance's general direction. It easily pierced through the heated air and flew straight into the sky, seeking nothing but to lodge itself into its target. The steel bolt started to break off into smaller pieces in mid flight, decompressing to be exact, and the two bolts suddenly multiplied into something much more numerous in blink of an eye! The wall of bolts flew in a perfect formation towards Vengeance, hopefully giving Vengeance a very small gap to dodge the attacks.

"THIS IS IT!"

Voulge dropped the Crossbow down to the ground and went straight into his brigandine to pull six oriental daggers, each engraved with exotic markings of intriguing animal designs, all different for each blade. He crossed both his arms in front of him and simultaneously threw all of the daggers with wide open arms, all traveling in a perfect line like the wall of bolts he sent before. Though it looked as if it was a simple throw, but Voulge counted the previous calculations he did before in to the attack and made sure that it wasn't simply thrown at Vengeance's general direction.

Not even confirming his kill, Voulge turned towards SplashLady's general direction and saw that her attacks were having very little effect on LurkMan. "It's safe to say that Vengeance is taken care of. Lets give Sabrina and Splash some help." With nothing but a nod for a reply, the spearman twirled his Lancea besides him and disappeared into thin air. Materializing again where LurkMan was standing, at least, where he was before he vanished, and he had in his hands a golden trident that was surging with violent electricity. Voulge pulled the trident as far as he could and threw it towards anything that was moving or hinted LurkMan.

Hrk...she had done so well at first, but now she was barely able to even hit a slow moving lizard. With a slight look of apprehension on her face, SplashLady looked at her enemies as best she could, not looking forward to possibly continuing her trend downwards. And then she heard something.

"Protecting your ally, noble...but foolish."

"Ha!, What an idiot!" Something about the way Vengeance had said that made something in her processes snap ever so slightly. "You guys aren't slouches, that's for sure. But there's no way you can beat us. And you know why? Because of the very teamwork you think is foolish!" With that, she stood back, and started to watch Voulge's onslaught, keeping an eye out for attacks on her own person.

However, taking a breather didn't mean just breathing. Or at least, that's what Sabrina wanted to make sure of. "Okay, let's make sure there's no deleting of our side in this battle! Battlechip, Recover120! Slot in!"

A ball of energy appeared on the tip of the Aqua Navi's spear, which she then flicked in the direction of her fiery ally, to heal his many wounds from the fight. "Here ya go!"

"...Actually, I kinda meant that for you, since I don't think Voulge is going to take too many more hits...but I guess that works, too." The Netopian girl shrugged, deciding it was no big deal. "All right, let's see what else is going on!"

The mermaid Navi said nothing, as it seemed pretty self-explanatory that Voulge was bent on making sure Vengeance went down for the count for a good while. And then, he stopped. Which only meant one thing: he felt the aerial Navi was out. "...Sabrina! Send me an Aqua Chip, quick! Any will do, just hurry!"

Well, that definitely wasn't leading to something obvious. Good thing they didn't need to burn a powerful one. "All right...Battlechip, Bubbler! Slot in!"

SplashLady's left hand became Bubbler's trademark nozzle, and it quickly lived up to its name by shooting a bubble blast towards some leftover Lava panels, to try and trigger more steam. A few moments later, Voulge suddenly teleported, trying to immobilize LurkMan. "Wow, perfect timing!" And now, the timing continued, as a large quantity of water was swirling around her spear, which explained why she didn't just use the weapon for her Bubbler. She pointed it towards the lizard Navi, causing the liquid to rush ahead towards her foe without mercy.

"And now, the coup de grace!" At least, hopefully that'd be it. "Battlechip, WideShot! Slot in!"

The tip of the mermaid's spear glowed at the tip, and faded as she began to bring it down forcefully, causing a shockwave of Aqua energy to sail forward, towards the steam exposed lizard. At least, that's how everything was planned. But who knew if that was actually how it went? Well, both Fire and Aqua Navis would know soon, as it would be clear by then how many of their opponents remained.

Ignis and Voulge unleashed a chain of projectile attacks at Vengeance who promptly disappeared from sight. The fireballs Ignis shot veered back and headed for Vengeance's new position behind Splashlady. He seemed very keen on persuing her to the end.

"Stay mobile." He added, practically giving away his element of surprise.

The aerial navi quickly deployed a large rocket from his underside that began to chase her down but not before she was able to heal Voulge with a recovery chip. With a series of well timed dodges, the rocket was tricked into flying off course and exploded on the landscape harmlessly. Lurkman came back into view holding some kind of spiked object in his hands. He stayed visible just long enough to materialize something onto the field - a large brass trumpy virus. As it blared its horn, a wave of green overtook Lurkman before he faded into nothing again.

"A Fanfare?" Vengeance noted, "That's unecessary but- AGH!"

Ignis's fireballs finally caught up to the navi, pushing him into critical health. He crashed down from his low altitude hovering roughly but still chuckled to himself.

"Heh, I underestimated them... Again..." Vengeance quipped before being forced to EJO by a volley of knives.

Lurkman scoffed at his 'ally's' demise, "I don't play... Favourites either."

Now it was three on one. Splashlady tried to coax the sneaky navi out of hiding by sticking with the steam plan. However with such a limited pool of lava to work with, the puffs of mist were getting smaller and weren't nearly as helpful as the first one. Voulge teleported and launched his trident, but it soared straight through the air unhindered, clanging onto the ground uselessly. Just then, a long red tongue shot out of nowhere, spearing Ignis like a fish. A series of peristaltic actions along its length indicated Voulge's SP was being drained. Practically on reflex, Splashlady fired a ball of water at the tongue before realizing the Fanfare was still active, nullifying her attack. Her Wideshot took care of the pseudovirus in another splash but by then it was already too late for Ignis who was also forced to EJO like Licht before him.

"Tch... Not filling." Lurkman added, retracting his tongue, "But I should... Pay the bill."

A Flashbomb was hurled towards the sea panels, while another one formed but simply floated in the air.

As the tongue pierced through Ignis's body, his body was slowly deteriorating into a useless data and forced to Jack Out from the battle before it would inflict permanent damage onto the SP's core. This left Voulge two man short in his team, leaving him with a small, bitter expression, but he needed to focus and finish off the last of his enemies. "I appreciate your concern, Splash" Slowly rubbing against where his wounds was, "I'll support another batch of lava to create more steam. Let's end this right now."

Voulge plunged the Lancea straight into the ground, crushing a few panel around him and created a shield from its debris. The broken panels wasn't a problem, as more lava began to seep out from the ground as soon as the tip of the spear met the ground, filling a good half of the battlefield with the searing liquid. "The steam isn't gonna work anymore, You and Splash did the trick one too many times." Marius tried to see a different view of the battle as his finger sorted through the chip folder. "I'm sending you three chips. I think you'll know what to do with the first one."

One after another, the chips was loaded into the PET and uploaded straight into the navi. Voulge opened his eyes wide open, flooding his pupil with streams of data, and disappeared as soon as he blinked to provide the chips he received and its capabilities. "Understood...Commencing the assault!" The Lancea was pulled out from the ground and into Voulge's hands, transforming into a different form as it was enveloped in a tower of fire starting from the base. The end result was a pure black lance, incredibly heavy with its sizable lead head, and emitted a powerful aura of raw strength. Voulge handled the massive weapon with both his hands and leapt straight up into the air with ease as if the heavy lance didn't affect him at all. The navi shortly came down with the Lancea facing straight down with Voulge planting both his feet on to the weapon, coming down like a falling star and crashed straight into the lava to create a towering wave of lavas to surge all around him.

Quickly changing the form back to its original, Voulge turned his attention towards the floating FlashBomb, which he suspected the moment he caught a glimpse of it. The fact that it was floating without any visible support could've meant that it was LurkMan who was holding onto the bomb. With his previous feat along with SplashLady's steam cover would've revealed LurkMan's position, but it looked like SplashLady was the one who wanted the revenge more than he did, so he simply focused his attention towards the Bombs. Whether or not LurkMan was holding onto the bomb, Voulge pulled a bladed discus out from his Brigandine and flicker it straight at his target. While it looked like a regular discus, it was actually connected and controlled by a thin wire on Voulge's finger, zigzagging back and forth in a dizzying manner until it would literally punch through the bomb and LurkMan.

As soon as the attack was finished, the wires disintegrated and Voulge moved straight towards the same target once more while brandishing his Lancea. The fiery blade shifted into a much longer, wider shape to accommodate the chip and began to burn intensely. Since the last attack was straight forward, the range of his FireSword couldn't reach that far unless it was attacked in a different angle. With that in mind, he approached the target from the side rather than straight forward and gave a arcing slash across the bomb.

"Get a lock on the target once more and attack again!" Marius's advise reached Voulge as the navi momentarily stopped his attack, backed away, and tried to pin point LurkMan's location if he happened to elude his previous attacks. Trying to find anything that could hint where the invisible navi was, Voulge immediately went in for the first hint he could find and swung his spear again, hopefully finishing this battle once and for all

By now, it was almost comical at how bad SplashLady had gotten at hitting the enemy Navis. Needless to say, she wasn't very happy at herself. "Ugh, I'm really out of practice against Navis, aren't I...?"

"Eh, we haven't fought any since we started going through Rogue Nets...don't worry about it. Because this battle ends now! But first, let's make more steam. Granted, we've been doing it a lot, but not quite like this!" Bubbler and Water Splash...both were good, but neither had a huge area of watery impact. WideShot, on the other hand..."Make steam, and then you can start hacking the tar out of LurkMan! Battlechip, WideShot! Battlechip, AquaSword! Double slot-in!"

The mermaid Navi's spearhead began the glow with a blue aura, noticing in the process that Voulge had created more lava. Deciding to take advantage of the increase of the molten rock, she pointed her weapon towards some of the newly created magma, and created a wide blade of water in front of her, which sailed forward into the red-hot liquid, and hopefully creating the fog she coveted.

With that out of the way, she raised her weapon, causing its dull blade to greatly increase in length, albeit only acquiring a single razor sharp edge. Perhaps it was providence that at the same time, her ally was attempting to splash boiling lava onto their common foe. Unfortunately, SplashLady didn't realize the symbolism, and instead began to rush LurkMan with her newly formed voulge, guided by the union of Fire and Aqua power. Upon reaching him, she didn't try to wow her foe with fancy moves, instead repeatedly hacking and cleaving with her water-based polearm. Oddly, she didn't even say anything in the process; like a Navi possessed, she only let out the occasional grunt, letting her actions speak for themselves.

Of course, in Cyberworld, chip weapons didn't last forever. Which was why Sabrina pulled out another couple of chips, and started sending them to her Navi. "Great work, SplashLady! Keep it up! Battlechip, MoonBlade! Battlechip, Blizzard! Double slot in!"

The long single-edged blade faded, giving way for a double-edged kunai that allowed the Aqua Navi to continue her merciless assault on the lizard Navi. Of course, it had the problem of not being able to last as long as its predecessor; after a single use, it faded as well. However, that failed to be the end of the chain of attacks, as one final swing created an icy wind that spread forward, freezing anything and everything it touched, including the panels below it. Now exhausted from the frenzy, SplashLady walked away, panting. However, she seemed pretty satisfied that LurkMan wasn't going to be sticking around. "Heh...let's see him...withstand that!"

Voulge extended the limits of his lava patch, spreading it out across approximately three quarters of the field and dramatically changing the terrain yet again. The sea and cracked panel disappeared under the torrent of bubbling red liquid. Again, Splashlady was caught in the magma for only a moment before she deployed her Wideshot, saving her from further harm. The long horizontal wave of pressurized water soared over the floor, clearing a thick row of the lava and creating much more mist than she had expected. Visibility dropped dramatically for everyone as neither Voulge nor Splashlady could see one foot in front of their faces.

Voulge still followed through with his plan, smashing what little remaining lava there was with his Bighammer sending a wave of of his lava splashing up, but the floating light from the flashbomb drifted out of range of the unorthadox attack. Oddly, the bomb then shot straight past Voulge, missing him entirely before bouncing off the floor and coming to a stop. The medieval navi targetted it with his Yo-Yo and cut it to ribbons, even if it was obvious Lurkman was no longer holding it.

A flurry of wild slashes cleared more random magma as Splashlady cut blindly ahead of her. The steam thickened until she finally clashed against something solid and glowing red. Voulge's Firesword also met with some resistance as he struck something hard as well. Both navis continued to slash at their targets, accidentally parrying and deflecting blows at the same time. One of Voulge's shields fell and he found himself in a deadlocked sword fight trying to overpower his opponent. A glimpse of the Aquasword forced Voulge to retreat as he realized he was fighting the wrong target. Just as he was about to warn Splashlady about her mistake, he was knocked away by a Moonblade, destroying his last shield. The Moonblade also grazed against something else. There was a retaliatory purple jet of mist that sent Splashlady into a coughing fit, prompting her to execute her Blizzard attack haphazardly. The wind blew away the remaining fog and frosted an invisible Lurkman over in a sheet of ice that almost caught Voulge. With his last free movements before the ice completely set, his hands dropped four small bombs that rolled towards the navis. Voulge was caught by three explosions and Splashlady was struck by two. The damage and frustration they had suffered was steep, but having their opponent helpless and at their mercy like this made it almost worthwhile.

"...Urk." was the only thing Lurkman managed to squeeze out between his flashfrozen lips.

By some anti-miracle, LurkMan was still alive. On the plus side, he was also weakened and helpless. Time for a little revenge for putting her and Voulge through all of that. Pointing her spear forward, SplashLady began preparing water energy for the final attack...but at some point in the process, something began to come over her. After all, she HAD just attacked her partner mercilessly, even though she didn't know it at the time.

And so, the water attack rushed forward, straight towards its intended target...the remaining FlashBomb?

"Voulge, I'm really sorry about attacking you just then. I probably should've realized it was you once I saw that FireSword...but I was in a frenzy and wasn't thinking. So go on, you can finish lizard boy off! Just do me a favor...make sure there's more than one of him when you're done!" The mermaid took a couple of steps back, giving her ally plenty of space for his ensuing attack...and her a little more vision, just in case...

Voulge was flustered when he realized that he was crossing swords with SplashLady. As soon his shields was down, he immediately retreated from where he stood and barely dodged the blast of ice that came from his ally. Though Voulge was having trouble taking in what was going on, his state of confusion simply disappeared as soon as he saw LurkMan frozen in place. "A fitting end to the pest...Finish him off." Even though the oppourtunity was perfect, Voulge was reluctant to strike the last blow. Since it was Splash who was truely fighting LurkMan, it was only right to let her finish it.

However, it was until Voulge listened to SplashLady's apology / request that he was able to prepare himself for the final strike. "Then this attack will be dedicated for you, Splash... The Lancea still kept it's previous shape from before, but the fire surrounding it was burning even fiercer than ever. "And for Licht... Lifting the spear's head up to his eye level and tilting his head against it, Voulge closed his eyes momentarily and let out a small breath. "And this!... He swung the Spear down and began to dash straight towards LurkMan. Leaving a trail of fire behind, Voulge didn't show any sign of slowing down as he approached LurkMan with the spear up to his waist level. "Is for that Idiot!" Slightly turning to the side, the spearman planned to cut the navi in half with the positioned spear blade. His feet began to move a little faster than before as he tightly held onto the spear and let his weapon do it's work.

As soon as it was over, Voulge and Marius couldn't rest until his enemy was done for sure. Setting a DrillArm on standby, Voulge quietly waited with his spear ready on his hands.
