Sparks becomes a DragonSlayer!

SubPlot Page.
This is where Joseph is.

Sparks and Lucky bolted down into the icy landscape of the Sharo Rogue Net. "Oh... it's cold here." The samurai shivered for a moment, before focusing his will power. Glancing at Lucky. He realized the dog didn't seem to share his cold feeling. Lucky dashed over and ran around in a near by pile of snow. "Come on Luck! Let's go test our strength."

"Where we going Sparks?" Lucky poked his head out of the snow, and tilted it sideways in a questionable fashion.

Sparks scanned the area around them, until he seen the base of s nearby mountain. "We are gonna climb that mountain, what do you say?"

"It's a little tall though...."

"We will make it to the top!" Sparks headed towards the mountain, but surely the duo would find one of their targets before they made it.

((Requesting SubPlot Battle 1, only battle to be mod locked is battle 5.))
Sparks and Lucky came to a frozen lake at the edge of a snowy embankment. Right in front of them was a SnowMan with a glowing blue gem embedded in its chest. Hiding behind it was a little fluff of a virus with a pillow. Behind them on the ice was a Penga, covered in an icy shell. An aquatic Swordy with a frozen sword stood at the ready nearby. It looks like the middle part of the frozen lake was cracked and broken, with a hole in the middle. A Shrimpy floated over the cracked, its tiny feet not making a dent in the fragile panels. And finally a blue Megalian came soaring down from above to attack!

SnoozierSnoozier (Snoozy)

Snoozy are about 2 feet tall, and are shaped like a white translucent blob of goo, forming a basic head, body, and arm, with the body trailing behind. The head has an oversized nightcap covering most of it, colored dark blue, with white dots as stars. The end of the nightcap has a hanging moon from it. The lone arm carries a thick white pillow by the corner, with some down leaking out of a tear. The coloring scheme of its main body changes with its version. Snoozier are red, and Snooziest are blue. A menacing black Snoozy DS has an additional feature of serrated teeth forming a giant jaw. EX forms are darker shades of their originals. Snoozy attack by flailing their white pillows around and spreading their apparent sleepiness around. They start their attack by teleporting up to their targets. The teleport counts as a dodge if utilized correctly. They then teleport back to their original spot, and do not move otherwise. They may use their secondary full-heal at any time, though they are more likely to do so when they are injured. Snoozy viruses only appear when there is cover to hide behind, and will stay behind this cover for the entirety of the battle except to attack. They will not appear otherwise. If their cover is destroyed, they will attempt to flee starting next turn if they do not have a specified object chip to be dispensed first.

-- Rogue Battle 1 Ready? Start!! --
"A fellow sword user, just the type I was looking for." Sparks allowed one of the katana handles at his waist to float up to his hand. A beaming light of electricity burst from it, shaping itself into a a katana blade. This was all a show of power because Sparks didn't have intention of using it right away. Making quick work of as many enemies as he could would be the best bet for remaining safe in the rouge network. He know longer had his strong ally DragoneirMan to watch his back. "Lucky change the terrain, I'm going to protect that mystery data." Sparks activated his barrier, while Lucky did the same with his, plus the casing. The samurai stepped towards the snowman, with a soft touch, he placed his palm on the face and activated the first chip he had been sent. The Barrier100 summoned a powerful defense that would hopefully guard and protect the data inside.

"Gotcha boss!" Lucky spoke, then followed with a howl. A small ball of fire started to spiral between the pup's jaws. Lucky released the metallic power, and aimed it somewhere towards the ice covered Penga in order to have it drop it's defenses. While he was at work doing this, their operator was busy slotting in a combination of chips that he saw fit for the team to use in their current battle.

"Take out that Megallian's aura if you can. You know how much of a pest they can be from our last hunt." Joseph added.

Sparks activated another chip, and held his free palm facing the sky. Three flying fist magically materialized and blasted off towards the virus that was in high altitude. Each one looking to break the aura, or re-up on damage if the previous fist had accomplished it's mission. If that wasn't enough though, Lucky used his newest attack. He spit another fireball, that split into two and looked to damage two targets. One fireball went high also aiming to burn the flying head. The other flame veered off flew towards the Shrimpy virus.

Lucky needed to remain cautious due to his elemental disadvantage. Each one of the enemies were likely to deal heavy damage to him if he found himself defenseless. With that in mind, the armor clad chow chow remained vigilant and prepared to dodge at a moments notice. The samurai was prepared to do the same. Sparks made an evasive dash towards Lucky, then hopped on his back for just a moment. Long enough to unleash his go to move. A blast of electricity left his palm and struck the ground. The power swirled in a small circular motion, then spread in each direction, causing a large electrified shockwave to ravage the field and make a deletion attempt at any virus that managed to be in it's wake.

Another one of his usual attacks came next. The tri-barrel cannon that fired of their Magnum attack suddenly appeared draped over his left shoulder. With three clicks, Sparks fired off three seperate projectiles. The first zoomed towards the aquatic Megalian, while the second flew towards the bottom-feeer. A third rocket made its way towards their sword wielding bounty target hoping to deal a critical blow if it had managed to survive the previous Gaia attack. Sparks hoped that their team work would be enough to bring a quick end to the battle, but if that wasn't the case he knew that he didn't have enough time to mount any more counter measures before his enemies were upon them. So he split a fake double from his body, and sent it running passed the snowman towards the center of the battlefield, with the chance of drawing the attention of their opponents.

Testing themselves against the frigid cold of Sharo, Sparks and Lucky found themselves facing up the intimidating slopes of a tall mounting, but before they could begin the trek throug the foothills, the ever-present threat of virus activity waylaid them. Quick to ready defences alike, the pair scoped the threats and Sparks pre-emptively added more protection to the highly-valuable-seeming snow man.

Sliding across the frozen ice, the penguin virus spun out a lazy snow-flake towards Sparks, but though it looked like it was going to sail harmlessly by him, it curved unexpectedly and despite doing his best to throw himself out of the way, Spark felt a chilling pattern of ice break across his back and send fingers of cold through his body; the ice froze downwards, joining up with the snow beneath his feet and the whole mass broke free, clinging to him awkwardly.

The Swordy seized its opportunity, appearing to make a broad, sweeping slash at both the samurai and his companion; Lucky leapt aside quickly, but Sparks wasn't able to do the same and his outer defences took the blow. With the increasing aggression from the viruses, Lucky was quick to change the ground to something less chilling, depriving the Penga of its frozen defence as well as preparing for one of their more favoured tactics, but the Shrimpy didn't seem to much like the sudden spread of metal, and after tapping at it with one claw, it looked up and blew a voracious stream of bubbles towards Lucky. This time, it came on too quick for the pup, and his barrier collapsed under the pressure of the blast.

Sparks was still trying to assess the field as evenly as he could and take care of he pressing threats; he managed to send a trio of punches at the incoming Megalian. The virus wove about as it zipped down towards them, though it was a large enough target that Sparks still managed to connect two of his three attacks, despite its evasion. He was rewarded with the heavy aura dissipating and a final glancing blow marring the left cheek of the virus.

It seemed to be focusing on sparks as a result of this, but a moment later a fresh blast of fire impacted against it on the other side, as lucky strafed both it and the rather rude Shrimpy in return with heated fire bolts. The sound seemed to wake the Snoozie, who peeked out from behind the snow man, shook its head at Lucky with a yawn, then warped, trying to bap the support program with its downy pillow for making such a racket. It missed, spinning about itself in a wild circle, before teleporting back behind the snow man again.

The Swordy continued to focus on Sparks, but this time he managed to avoid its stabbing blade. Lucky was not so lucky, by comparison, as the Penga, angered at the loss of its ice play space launched a much quicker, more direct ice attack in his direction. The pup's second line of defence caught the attack, thankfully, but even so the freezing cold began to work its way through his system.

They were both feeling the chill badly, but moved on with the next stage of their plan; Sparks felt himself weathering another spray of bubbles from the Shrimpy as the viruses seemed to be trying to close in and hammer the two down with attacks, but it wasn't enough to stop him from releasing his particularly final retort to the hostiles; the electrified gaia wave rolled outwards, dancing across the remaining ice and the metallic surface alike and violently obliterated the ground-based viruses in one fell swoop; the snow man remained uniquely protected as the wave crashed onto the barrier sparks had earlier provided it with.

For a moment, it seemed like they had space to breath, but in the quiet that followed, the Megalian pounced, launching its head downwards at the unified pair and crashing into both of them with a brutally icy shock. It was an effort for Sparks to stay mounted, and Luck in particular seemed to fair badly from the assault. Sparks answered back with his magnum, very nearly destroying the Megalian, but it wobbled and remained, just barely clinging on. One small reprieve that they manage,d however; in splitting off his clone and sending it forward, sparks was able to deceive the damaged Megalian; in its shaky and addled state, the virus turned its large head to follow the clone image and looked to be fixating on it instead, for now.

A lighting bolt came falling from the sky and struck Sparks, who also had the same frozen data problem. The electrical energy would refresh him, cure the freeeze, and make his next attack more powerful, thought that was probably not necessary. Still gripping the lighting katana, though he chose to ignore it once more. A blast of elec energy flew from his other palm and made its way towards the distracted virus hoping to delete it.

Shaking off the cold and drawing power from a fresh strike of lighting, Sparks was able to dispatch the already battered final virus while its face was turned from him — just in time as well, as it began to launch an attack at the clone, just beyond the glinting snowman, possibly risking both. As it was, The flying head was destroyed before it could do any more harm, and sparks was able to gingerly cross to the snow sculpture, and uncover the crystal within it, carefully untrapping his prize before opening it up.

The snow melted away further as the crystal lifted up and circled on itself a few times, then unpacked in a flash of blue light that glowed and coalesced into a slightly green hued shape of light that might make sparks perk up with interest It was slim and sleek, and as the light gradually receded very definitely a handsome blade with an oriental design and a leaf pattern along the blade itself. A small wisp of light drifted free as the last of the data unpacked, leaving a small string of flowing letters in the air before fading. They read: "Take sword in hand, and climb. Know no fear." before flittering away with a final twinkle of light flashing from green to gold.

Sparks examined the blade with an intense glare. "A lovely blade produced by a lovely chip. One more sword left and lur elemental blade collection is complete." He allowed the blade to disperse, followed bu the handle floting back to his waist to rest. "How you doing pup?"

Lucky was worn out and heavily damaged from the battle before. "Not so good Boss. Not sure I'll make it through the next battle. ".

"I'll try to heal you but keep on your guard and we will try to keep moving forward."

Together the samurai and the pup continued to climb the mountain, keeping the mystery message of the BMD in the back of their minds as they climbed.

((Requesting battle 2))
As sparks ventured further, he and Lucky found themselves moving steadily into the low rising foothills of the mountain ahead of them. The weather, not the most accommodating to begin with, had chilled over the past few minutes, and a cold wind was beginning to blow against them as the made their way.

Flecks of ice and snow scattered through the breeze as it cut at their warmth, though it wasn't too terrible for now. It looked like it might begin snowing soon though, or worse, an icy sleet, judging from how the clouds over the mountain looked. The rising ground broke into climbing foothills that were rocky and uneven; it wasn't too hard to keep their footing for now, but it looked like it got a lot worse by the time they might hit the mountain proper, and unless they had brought climbing gear, they'd need to find some kind of trial, probably.

For now, though, the duo had other concerns to draw them away from the planning of their climb; they'd wandered through a section of the foothills that bore several tall, thick ice protrusions, like bony spires thrust up from the ground, and each reaching easily over twenty feet into the air. Scattered unevenly, they were made of solid ice, frosted enough that neither Sparks nor Lucky could really see through them clearly, and they penned in some of their climbing options with slick, frozen sides.

The wind grew suddenly into a fierce gale, pushing hard against the pair, and up ahead, Sparks would be able to make out the much more unnatural shape of a staunch, heavy-duty Windbox, further up the slope. It had shifted on and was now blowing ice and snow in their direction, along with gale-force winds. A shriek from above drew eyes to the shape of a bad-like virus as well, though unlike most regular Pulsebats this one bore a frosting of white fur that seemed to make it better acclimated to the inhospitable mountainside. It wheeled down towards them even as a mound of snow much closer to them shifted and began to shake itself off, revealing a snow-man shape, complete with top-hat and a very frozen carrot for a nose. It also had two particularly massive wooden bludgeons where a friendlier snowman might have had twigs for arms, and it flexed them while it woke up. A second pile of snow began to shift, revealing another almost identical sentinel on the other side, and as Sparks and Lucky had to ready themselves for a fight, both felt their reaction times lag slightly; something further up the path was interfering with their normal mobility. Dropping down from further above somewhere, halfway between him and the windbox further ahead, another Swordy virus landed on the path, blade presented; it looked as though Sparks was going to find challenges here no matter which way he went.

SlimerSlimer (Slimey)

Slimey viruses were produced to be sources of major traffic lag. While a Slimey virus is on the battlefield, all Navis and SPs suffer from a passive Slow-like effect that imposes a -10% Evasion AND Movement Speed penalty. This effect is not a status ailment, and cannot be cured. This effect does not stack with itself if more than one Slimey is on the field at once. As this does not count as a true Slow effect, up to two instances of Slow may stack on top of this effect for a total penalty of -30% Evasion/Movement Speed. This effect expires when all Slimey viruses on the field are deleted or flee. Slimey viruses are very slow to move and dodge, but every move they make that is not a dodge counts as an attack. Slimeys deal damage by touching an opponent, thus touching a Slimey directly results in damage to any non-Slimey the virus considers hostile.

Lucky was panting hard. Exhausted from the previous challenge. His armor was battle damaged, and he walked with a limp. Sparks found a surge of fault fill up inside him. He should have let Lucky return to the PET for now. It was to late though. The samurai raised his hand and called fourth another energized lighting bolt from above. Using his hand he directed the bolt of electricity to zap Lucky and restore a little bit of the pups vitality. If the strike was on target, they would see a noticeable difference in his steup. "Now move!" Sparks commanded. He created a clone that took his place as he teleported to the other side of the field, directly behind the RareWindBox. Lucky remained vigilant, kept his head up and prepared to react accordingly with a double dodge attempt. While the wind box was alive, it wouldn't be any point for him to activate his defenses. The clone, if it was still hanging around would run towards the middle of the field waving his hands wildly in the sky.

Once behind the box, his right hand cracked with a powerful controlled sphere of electricity. He lunged his hand forward, altering and releasing the energy in a rediculous long straight path. The lighting looked to damage the RareWindBox, and delete the now more visable Slimer virus, as well as anything at moved in the attacks path.

Once the stream of electricity had dispersed into nothingness, one of the katana handles hovered over to his right hand. Sparks attempted to finish the RareWindBox off with his next attack. He swung the hilt, midswing a blade of lighting sprung forth, buzzing as it stroked through the air with a fluid slash.

Providing a small bit of recovery for his companion, Sparks restored the pup's vitality (+30), before the Swordy teleported to them, wielding its gleaming blue sword. It made a wide horizontal slash, though both master and pup were able to move out of the way, with Sparks's electrical clone being disrupted immediately in their place. However, Lucky being left behind made him a prime target to get ganged up on, as the Snowmeds began a two-pronged assault on him, slamming their fists down in a hammer blow, while the Slimer bounced up from around the icy wall to get closer to the pup. True to his name, the smashing attack missed on Lucky, as it threw some of the surrounding snow into the air, which rained down on Sparks, giving him a bit of a chill, (-25) while Lucky himself was, again, unharmed, thanks to his good fortune. The snow froze immediately after landing into frosty patches of ice.

Sparks had a plan to save his pup, however, as he charged up his DollThunder attack from behind the WindBox's blustery path and shot it down the way. The WindBox was heavily damaged, while a Slimer and a Snowmed were immediately obliterated by the high voltage attack. The WindBox was then bisected with his energy sword, causing the wind to die down a little. Panicking from the attack, the Swordy attempted another attack at Lucky, but the canine companion's name appeared to save it once more as the virus's distraught nature caused it to miss the attack by a hair.

Without a moments hesitation, Sparks made the decision to continue the offensive. Like a tiger chasing down its prey, the samurai rushed the sword welding enemy. He raise his own sword and brought it down in a horizontal slash. Aside from a miss, the weapon's surging prowess would prove fatal to the Swordy-A2. He followed his slash up with a couple of expert footwork, swiftly ducking left, then right hoping to avoid taking another glancing blow.

While Sparks acted upon the Swordy, Lucky chose to ignore his weakened state and go on the offensive himself. A swirling ball of inferno started to swell in the dog's jaw. He snapped his neck and head forward, looking directly at the remaining Snowmed. A flaming breath of energy left the program's mouth, it quickly formed into the shape of a dragon. The dragon slithered across the snow covered, icy landscape, leaving a path of lava in its wake. It continued its path of destruction until, it had made an attempt at devouring the Snowmed's body.

As it began to wing skyward again, Lucky attacked the remaining snowman, just as it raised a fist to try and smash the pup. fortunately, lucky was faster and the carrot-nosed virus melted into liquid before it could attack again.

This only left the pair with the bat, though after it had finished flapping for more height and surveying, it seemed to be weighing up the point of sticking around, now that the other viruses were destroyed.

This gale will constantly move all targets this virus considers to be enemies in the direction the wind is blowing, which makes it difficult to land many kinds of attacks on it and allied viruses, such as thrown attacks and close ranged attacks. All those affected by the wind will also have their barriers and auras blown off by a constant Northwind effect.
Element: None
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): Wind, Zenny
Special: Causes short ranged attacks, such as (but not limited to) swords, melee attacks, and flame thrower style weapons, to suffer from a 30% accuracy penalty against targets they are being pushed away from. Both sides of the engagement suffer a 30% accuracy penalty with direct attacks perpendicular to the direction of the wind, and all thrown attacks.
Special: Those allied with this virus may opt to take advantage of the wind to increase movement speed or evasion by going with the wind. They do not suffer any penalties, however. Conversely, anyone may move along with the wind to increase accuracy by 10% for close ranged attacks, assuming the target is in that direction.

With the flick of a wrist Sparks activated the Barrier100 chip towards his teammate, in hopes of keeping him safe for the remainder of the battle. He also formed a weaker, yet still sturdy barrier around his own body. They both took quick evasive movements, just in case the airborne virus mustered up a quick offense this time around. They both decided to wait until the bat dropped down to strike. Once it decided to come down, the samurai Navi fired off an electric wasp from his free hand. The zaptastic bug homed in on it's target and attempted to make a deletion. If it missed, it would hang around just a little longer, and make a second try.

If his wasp didn't finish the job, Sparks would continue to amount an offensive with two powerful elec chips. First a piercing lazer beam fired from his hand towards the bat. Four separate beams of energy twisted around it in a speedy fashion. Right behind it, a dragon of his own was released. The ElecDragon crawled across the winter terrain, creating a subtle change to magnet. This dragonic energy was as fearsome as its fiery predecessor, as it made a beeline towards it's target. While the Navigator focused on defeating his enemy, his Support Program remained on the defensive, and continued his dodge attempts when necessary.

Sheltering from the high-flying foe, sparks protected both himself and his SP while waiting for the best moment. When it came, he was swift to dispatch it with a flurry of electrical attacks, and the bat squeaked, coasting off course, slamming into one of the icy barriers, then spiralling down to crash at the samurai's feet. A small part of it remained behind as its body degraded, emitting a quiet beep and a blinking light.

The duo gathered their winnings, then in unison plopped down in a soft patch of snow. Lucky was worn out and weakened from the beating he had taken the first battle. Sparks wasn't one hundred percent either. "I'm going to push on a little further without you Luck." He patted the pup on its about where it was free of armor.

"I can keep fighting boss." He replied. Breathing heavily, his tongue fell from his mouth in a lazy fashon.

"It's fine. It's been a while since I've fought on my own. Take a break, if I run into trouble later, I will make sure master sends you back." Sparks gave a wave of his hand, dismissing his Suppoet Profram.

Before fading away and returning to the PET Lucky added, "Don't play around and get yourself deleted boss." With that said, his body turned to a small ember, before turning to ash and drifting away towards the sky.

Sparks stood up, shook his exhaustion off, and kept climbing the winter wasitland of a mountain before him. He knew it wouldn't take long for more trouble to show up, so it was necessary to remain on guard as he climbed. "I know you're busy master but can you switch in the Shadow chip, it might come in handy."

"Sure, here it goes." Joseph took a moment to switch out the chip then returned to his activity at hand.

((Lucky.SP dismissed, Switching Shadow1 in for ShootingStar, Requesting Battle 3))
Unfazed by his injuries, Sparks dismissed his comrade and forged onwards up the mountain by himself. The winds weren't one to allow him any respite, however, as they howled wildly, as if trying to dissuade him from going any further. Then, all of a sudden, the winds halted as Sparks scaled the mountain up to a slightly sloped plateau. On the piece of flat land, two large Typhoon-type fans could be seen blowing out the snow around them into a wide circle from opposite sides of the circle. In the middle of the circle was a little pool of water, where a little Mariner sub peeked out from next to an enormously rotund blue Buffy.

Behind the Buffy, a Karma appeared to repurpose its slot for launching hockey pucks into a vacuum suction device, sucking up excess snow that the Hurricanes left behind. In front of it, a Swordy seemed to be doing the same, sweeping away little flecks of snow, though it seemed to be doing so into the pool, which the Mariner didn't seem to appreciate all too well. Being in front of the pool, the blue knight was closest to where Sparks poked his head in, and it immediately went into the defensive, crying out towards its comrades of the unwelcome intruder. The battlecry was met with responses all around, and soon Sparks found himself on the business end of six more viruses from all around!

HurricaneHurricane (Typhoon)

This family is an upgrade to the viruses found in MMBN. Unlike their game version counterparts, these roll around on four wheels. They are thus able to move and dodge. All of their attacks have the Wind Type attribute, and thus deal extra damage and other added effects when used on Sand and Snow terrain. The viruses themselves are not able to summon this terrain, however. Their secondary attack is mainly used to counter Object chips or creatures that are closing in to attack them.

-- Rogue Battle 3 Ready? Start!! --
A new battle brought new, strong looking foes for Sparks to test his skill against. Like a flash of judgement, a bolt of electricity came crashing from above. With a near deafening impact the energy struck the samurai and gave him another slight boost in vitality. While the quick act of healing was smart, it would be sure to draw the enemies attention. He lept to the side in evasive fashion, then summoned a clone duplicate of himself. The SparksCopy dashed towards the Karma and made a fake slashing action towards it, with the intention of faking it out. While his clone rushed, though how long it would last, Sparks still activated his CloudBarrier, hoping it would keep him safe for the time being.

Snap! One of the handles at the Navigator's side unclipped itself and drifted to his right hand. Nonchalantly Sparks held the handle facing down towards the panels at his feet. A surge of static started to encircle his hand, then like a rabid dog attacking, the energy lept from the opening of the hilt, and pressed itself into the ground. Immediately the attack began to grow and spread destruction all around. A wave full of electrical power spread in all directions, overtaking snow and sea, looking to deal a significant blow to the enemy forces. Just as the massive shockwave subsided, the samurai vanished from his spot, only to reappear behind the Karma virus. Like water being poured from a faucet, a current of electricity burst from the hilt in his hand, and shaped itself into a blade. With two swift, yet elegant strokes of his newly equipped sword, Sparks attempted to fell, or finish of the virus had it happened to not been injured by the Gaia attack from earlier. Hopefully being finished with that enemy he kept a defensive mindset, patiently waiting return fire from any survivors.

-Free Dodge with Swordplay-
Alone against the horde of viruses, Sparks restored some of his vitality (+30) and pumped himself up to take on the viruses with a lightning strike from the heavens, while the Swordy suddenly disappeared, and reappeared in front of him with its sword brandished. Behind it, the Buffy in the water blew out a large blue bubble that bounced about in Sparks's general direction, but it seemed rather slow and would take a little while to get to him. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes turned towards him and turned their fans onto him, creating a pair of whirling tornados that suddenly rushed towards him. Thankfully, the projection of his image was mistaken for his real image as one of the tornados spun towards it and dispersed, while the other raced by him ineffectually. The Gaia he took out crackled with electrical might as he sent it slamming down onto the ground, creating a wide shockwave that rocked the area. Unfortunately, it seemed to be rather erratic in its consistency, as it only managed to take out the Swordy in front of him as well as the Buffy. One of the Hurricanes also sustained a decent bit of damage, though not quite enough to delete it outright.

However, the shockwave also coincided with an attack that came right as he unleashed it, which was the Mariner's anchor-bearing bubble attack. The shockwave tore through the bubble, and launched the heavy anchor straight at him like a bullet, though thankfully the barrier that he had put up in the nick of time managed to deflect it entirely. It continued to release another bubble towards him, and this time he wasn't quite as lucky, as the bubble popped in his face right as he warped up behind the Karma virus. As the bubble popped, the anchor smashed into his shoulder and left him quite a bit more than a bruising. (-80) The Karma ejected its hockey puck directly into his knees (-45) right as he brandished his sword and slashed at it twice to delete it. Now, the question was whether he would be able to survive the remaining three viruses with how critically injured he was, along with a tornado and a bouncing bubble that were slowly continuing to home in on his position.

-- Viruses --
HurricaneHurricane (Typhoon)

This family is an upgrade to the viruses found in MMBN. Unlike their game version counterparts, these roll around on four wheels. They are thus able to move and dodge. All of their attacks have the Wind Type attribute, and thus deal extra damage and other added effects when used on Sand and Snow terrain. The viruses themselves are not able to summon this terrain, however. Their secondary attack is mainly used to counter Object chips or creatures that are closing in to attack them.

Area: SciLab, Yoka, Sharo, Netfrica

Heavy breathing ensued after receiving multiple hard hitting blows. Pain ran through the Navi's digital body. Around his shape, data could be seen flaking off and falling to the ground, much like the snow falling from the sky. Sparks thought of calling out to Joseph so that he would focus on the battle at hand, instead, he managed to straighten his posture. "No... I can do this." Sparks rallied. Like darkness overtaking daylight, a cloak of darkness enveloped the samurai's body, making him invulnerable to anything other then a blade.

With his shadow defense active, Sparks ignored the incoming homing attacks, and turned his attention downwards towards the small pool of sea that parted the ground in front of him. Somewhere in the pool of water, a powerful submarine like enemy was submerged. Even with his heightened focus, he could feel his grip on long range targeting lower then usual, but he decided to risk it. With a crackle, yellow sparks of electric energy popped and scattered all around his free hand. He directed the energy toward the sea, it spread into a conelike shape and spread across most of the watery panels, resulting in a terrain change as well as hopefully deleting the Mariner.

Sparks detached himself from the energy, and dashed towards the weaker of the two Hurricane viruses. The lighting sword dispersed after one more swift horizontal slash aimed at the four wheeled opponent. Wanting to ensure a deletion, a blade of flames erupted from the hilt as Sparks slashsned a second time with a stroke from the FireSword. Like second nature, expert footwork followed the second slash, and he flowed into a dodge like motion, even with the Shadow active, it wouldn't make sense to get careless.

Like a jet, Sparks closed in on his final target. The blade of flames left a trail of orange and red behind as he lashed out with another fluid attack. The flame flickered out like a lighter that had its ignition released. A purple hammer with a large head sprouted from the hilt. With a heave, Sparks lifted the hammer up high, and forced it down towards the enemy in front of him, intent on smashing it into deletion.

Now heavily injured, Sparks turned to an absolute defense, in the form of a Shadow battlechip. Unfortunately, it also came at a price: his attacks were now less than accurate within his cloak of darkness, but that was all he needed to take action. Electricity coursed through his hand as he struck out at the Mariner submerged within the pool of water. Unfortunately, the darkness that took over his body caused the electrical attack to be weaker than usual, and the sparks didn't manage to reach the hidden submarine virus. However, it did manage to transform the entire pool into a sheet of gleaming panels, forcefully ejecting the Mariner from the water that no longer existed. Then, brandishing his sword that he still had, the Hurricanes were no match for it, even as they spat out their tornados in his direction to little effect. The Hammer he took out then destroyed the second Hurricane with impunity, leaving only the Mariner peeking out at him through its periscope, now all alone without anything to protect it. However, Sparks couldn't underestimate it either, as his shadowy defense began to falter, before melting away to reveal his very weakened form. What was more, one of the Hurricanes' tornados was still around, and it began to turn back towards him to avenge its fallen progenitor.
