Chaos seemed to glide across the room, his light footsteps allowing him to sift through the crowd with ease as he continued his search. There were several interesting prospects that stood before him: An opalescent Navi whose's features seemed to wax and wane, a hotheaded fire Navi obsessed with battle, a suppossed "Smooth Talker" who was chating up an attractive female Navi, the possibilites seemed endless.
"I shall have to be more selective,"Chaos thought to himself. I think I'll start with the most fun and then work my way down."
Chaos examined the three Navi a little closer, taking in what he deemed to be their finer, corruptable points. The opalescent Navi proved a mystery. At first, Chaos thought that the Navi lacked a sense of self, a condition that Chaos could pervert most easily, but he quickly changed his mind. Perhaps that particular Navi had too much "Sense of Self".
"Bah...Too weird. Moving on."
A symphony of sound caught Chaos' ear and his crimson pupils darted back and forth to find the source. He turned to see the "Smooth Talker" ask for an embrace with his companion under the pretext of ditching a former acquantance. Chaos smiled, his thin lips revealing slightly pointed teeth. It was a simple ploy to get closer to the girl while attempting to drive away the competition...A ploy no doubt fueled by lust.
"Such a delicious sin, and so easy to manipulate to my own needs."
Chaos was about to approach the trio of Navi when he noticed a flash of red off to his side. His crimson pupils shifted in the inky pools of darkness that served as his eyes to get a better view of the light. A Navi clad in a skin-tight black jumpsuit with a black helmet and dangling red scarf was standing off to his side. The flash of red came from the helmet's eye holes. Chaos felt a strange, but familiar sensation.
"The hell?" Rayth's voice practically shouted, this time over the secure channel. "What did you do? You're being scanned."
"I haven't done anything....Yet." Chaos clarified over the same secure channel, his thoughts being transmitted to Rayth rather than his words. "A little songbird is getting foolish thoughts. Perhaps he won't be so forward after I rip out his throat."
"No! How long do yout think you'll last with so many NetPolice patroling the area. Don't be an idiot, Chaos."
The Navi's only response was a deep, laughter that raised to a fevered pitch. All in all, he sounded quite mad, though only Rayth could hear him. He clenched one fist, a tendril of crimson energy sparkling along his bone armor. He turned to face the black-clad Navi, dark eyes open wide and crimson pupils glowing fiercely. He smiled once more, his fangs glistening in the light, and promptly disappeared into the crowd once more.
Rayth could only sigh and hope that he would have Chaos' disguise ready soon.
Grand Unveiling!

Winter arrived at the punch bowl, just as Jared began speaking to her with concern "Nice party. Too bad you're not there really trying to enjoy it. What's with you?" Winter began to reply in a hushed tone while serving herself a glass of punch "I didn't come here for the party. I came here for information, and I've gathered quite a bit of it just by observing the other Navis that live in this region." She cast a small purification spell on the punch, just in case, then began to do something else that mystified Jared. "Winer, what are you doing?" Winter smiled and replied "I'm going to enjoy myself as long as I'm here waiting for the event to end." As she spoke, she picked up a spoon and held it in the center of the glass of punch, then began to breathe on the entire thing, causing it to freeze. Once the punch was frozen, she simply pulled the glass off of her frozen treat, and set it back where she found it. Jared, seeing that his Navi aparently liked and was not bashful about making popcicles, stifled his laughter as best he could. Winter smiled, then turned to leave the table to enjoy this rare treat, almost bumping into the strange Navi who kept talking about wanting a lamp shade... "Pardon me," she said in her cool yet pleasant tone to the Navi as she stepped sideways and then began walking away from the table...

After a few minutes of mutely staring into space, Titania rose from the chair and headed towards the refreshments, which had clearly attracted the rest of the party as well. The last of the wisps that had been strewn across the figure's body finally solidified into her lithe female body as she helped herself to a glass of punch, pupilless eyes downcast as if absorbed in her own company.

So he noticed... Pianissimo said to himself. Well...I guess he can't do much with all these NetPolice around. Nevertheless...
Pianissimo sighed. Chaos had been rather intent on intimidating him for some reason. It might have worked, too, if anything ever scared him. Silently drawing his katana, just in case, Pianissimo vanished into the crowd as well, trying to keep an eye on Chaos.

Chaos let out a high pitched laugh, almost a giggle, as he wandered deeper into the crowd. He knew that the black-clad Navi was probably following him, though he had no proof and didn't feel like halting to confirm his suspicious. Besides, there were far more interesting sights than a drab Navi in a scarf intent on playing the hero. He gazed about the room as he stole through the crowd, the fiery bead of light in his eyes searching for someone that would offer him a good time.
"What are you doing?" Rayth asked. "What happened to that Navi who scanned you? Do you think he's going to alert the NetPolice?"
"Let the songbird spread his wings...It'll be all the more fun to clip them when he isn't expecting it." Chaos answered in a low whisper, almost as though he was speaking to himself.
"Ugh," Rayth sighed. "We can't afford to get caught right now. You are just supposed to scope out this new transport system to see if we can use it to plan quicker escapes."
"You have told me this several times already." Chaos sounded quite annoyed.
"Then listen to me and stop attracting unwanted attention. You know as well as I do that most NetOps jump at the thought of a challenge. We don't need to stumble into a battle that we can't win."
"Feh, speak for yourself, boy. Remember, I don't take orders from weaklings. Now, is that GMO done?"
"Almost..." Rayth sighed. There really was no reasoning with Chaos when he fell into one of his moods. "Just be careful. I don't want to end up in jail because of one of your mistakes."
"Hold your tongue." Chaos snapped. "I don't make mistakes. You are the bumbler...Or have you forgotten the fires?"
Rayth stared down at his gloved hand. "How can I forget?" The reminder of his past steeled the man's nerves, the opposite effect that Chaos was hoping for. "I remember your role during the flames as well and I am not being dragged down by your maniacal needs. The GMO is done. Put it on and stop screwing around."
Chaos growled under his breath, but he could not stop the GMO program that was being forced upon him. Still, the Navi had the sense to manuver himself behind a pillar to obscure the view of anyone following him. The GMO took effect, his skeletal armor and tattered claok fading away to form a very bland, beige NormalNavi. No one would notice such a patheticaly average being. Chaos growled again, cursing his operator, and strode out from behind the pillar. He slipped into the crowd once more.
He acted as though he was heading toward the portal to gather information, but Chaos had other plans. He slipped off to the side where the fire Navi had been speaking with a few others. Perhaps he would listen in on their conversation and find new ways to have some fun, no matter what Rayth had to say about thir supposed mission.

Kobo frowned as he appeared next to minivolt, from behind a rather surpised mr. prog. "Well for goodness sakes, if somone cant keep up their bounce above the crowd while waiting for something, then fine, but remeber: pie in the eyes, not the mouth"
Then he appear by soulman from under a table "Next time, wait, k?" and he dissapeareed once again

As the NetPolice and NormalNavis begin lining up the goods for the first 100 arrivals, setting booths, signs, and line markers--They're good at this, aren't they?--A couple of Navis in the crowd suddenly begin to keel over, writhing in pain.
"We'll... be taking that, if you don't mind..." A voice drifts across the room, soft but strangely audible to everyone.

"Hey, it looks like they're..."
Raiden trailed off, his eyes widening as the NetPolice Navis began to hit the floor. The plate that had been taking up residence on his knee shattered as he leapt up, accidentally hurling it to the ground.
"Shuilong! Something's wrong!"
Not waiting for an answer, he pushed past the tall dragon-Navi and took off towards the set of booths. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he knew that it had to be something.

Winter saw a Navi collapse in pain... then another.... and mentally marked the locations of the Navis that were collapsing relative to one another while her mind screamed TROUBLE!! She dropped her popcicle (still untasted) as she heard the voice say "We'll... be taking that, if you don't mind..." and began moving through the crowd rapidly. She spoke quietly in a cold tone that imparted a sense of urgency to her listener "Jared we have trouble. Something's here to crash the party." Jared was very surprised at Winter's sudden change in manner and bearing, and replied in a confused voice, "What?" "There's something hostile here. I can't see it yet, but it's leaving a trail of bodies in its wake." Jared overcame his confusion and acted to support Winter "Analyzing.... I can't get a solid fix, it or they are using some form of stealth." Winter only nodded and drew back her cloak's hood for better perception as she made her way to a better vantage point....

"Wow, that one Navi knows how to make popsicles!" ShellMan exclaimed, watching the stranger prepare her frozen treats. "Maybe I should-" ShellMan began, before his eyes drifted over to the Navis who seemed to be writhing in pain. "Walden-"
"Not now, ShellMan," Walden told his Navi. "They're about to announce what their little door prize is. Aren't you excited?"
"Uh... I guess..." ShellMan said, averting his eyes and trying to screen out the sound of building turmoil around him. Drawing into his shell slightly, ShellMan commented, "You don't think there was... something wrong with the punch...?"
Walden didn't appear to have heard him. ShellMan continued to pretend he hadn't heard the voice.

Pianissimo's attention snapped to the source of the voice. Was that...that Chaos guy? I lost track of him...but...no, I'm getting Chaos's data from that beige navi over there. The voice came from somewhere else.
Pianissimo turned towards the source of the commotion, eyes flashing as his scanners reactivated. It's not picking up anything except the injured navis. Something's seriously wrong here.

American turned his head, it seemed he had began to stare at the ground. He had to drop this knack of staring. It was beginning to annoy him and his operator. So as soon as he turned he saw the navi's keel over. He then began to open his mouth to speak, mostly to say that they should have had cheese. Until he saw that the souveniers were being stolen by another team. He then jumped to action, mainly just turning so he saw the navi's, and then yelling at them.
"Hey man, no need to steal. I think theres less then one hundred. But if you want to be like that. I have no problem, but these hundred other navi's might."
American then began to scan the crowd for ones that looked like confident fighters. The one with the hat seemed to pop out first, then the gray jumpsuited navi. Finally he began to rethink the proposal, until he began to see larger navis that were beginning to be stirred by the actions.

A group of feathers fell into a clump as Tenshi plummeted from the sky head first. His fall leaving a trail of feathers, he flipped upright as he landed on the ground kneeling. His head bowed, Tenshi murmered a couple of prayers before standing up head held high. "Who were you praying to?" Gaeherris questioned quietly. Giving off a weathered grin Tenshi walked into the crowd "To anyone that would listen" Pausing he observed the massive group chaos and chuckled "Are you sure it's safe here?" Noticing the overlapping chaos Tenshi could feel trouble brewing, deep in his data core. His wings started flapping slowly, the sound calming him down. "Yes, I've taken into account all the factors, the netpolice will be too busy trying to keep everything safe to bother searching for us. If our old teammates come looking, we can handle them"
Now floating about 6 inches off the ground Tenshi sighed "Alright" Landing on the ground, the fluttering stopping he winched his wings in before sitting down. "Now to wait for something to happen" No response from Gaeherris. Just what are you afraid of old friend?
Noticing the crowd moving around, and injured navi's all around Tenshi stood up with a start. "Tenshi! Time for action! Assess the navi's first, then deal with the intruders." Stretching his wings out, Tenshi glided over to the first navi making sure to check for serious injury's. Putting his hand on the navi's shoulder he chuckled "Just a scratch, you'll be fine" Standing up he noticed the navi's moving off. "Gaeherris..." "Right, you go on... I'll keep track."
(BAH I rushed this like hell, I feel ashamed.... I promised myslef I'd RP better, but that didn't seem better)

Ayumi stopped eating her pumpkin pie in mid chew as she noticed the navis begin to fall. "Uh oh... thish ishn't goodh" she said, her mouth still full of the half chewed pie. She quickly turned around, putting her back to the other navis in the area, and spat what was in her mought back onto her plate. She then quickly tossed the plate whimsically aside and feinted a trip, saying "Oops!" as she did so. "I wonder if the pie was poisoned or something... I hope not. I didn't eat a whole slice, but I probably ate enough that I'll feel the effects of it anyways."
She turned back around, and spoke to Soulman. "What do you think's going on? Is someone trying to steal our items?"

"Intruder! You have no business here!" The NetPolice Navis raise their weapons at the newcomer, taking it as the source of the voice earlier.
More and more Navis begin to collapse on the floor, moans of pain escaping their lips. A line of drool edges out from them...
The NetPolice don't notice, as they stare down Tenshi.

Voltman lowered a giant bowl from his face, setting it beside him and burping quietly. That was some GOOOD pie. Another navi walked up, a normalnavi, and took over the serving duties that another had just finished. Suddenly, both navis collapsed to the floor, obviously in pain. Voltman dropped to the floor, and started examining the navis. There were no obvious injuries... but it might be corruption.
He shook his head at the thought. Corruption suddenly accelerating for... he looked around, seeing several other navis in pain ...so many navis? It's not possible.
Shigeru! Get ready! I think that there might be some bad guys here!
Suddenly, a soft voice resounded throughout the crowd.
"We'll... be taking that, if you don't mind..."
Voltman stood up, his GMO deactiviating.
Screw it. This party is going downhill, fast. I see a fight in the near future. SHIGERU!
Shigeru's face appeared in a holoscreen, his hair dishevled. He had obviously been sleeping.
What? I was having such a good dream, too...
Well sleepy time is over, Shigeru. Run a scan on the Netsquare. See if you can find any signs of corruption. Any hidden navis. ANYTHING out of the ordinary.
Shigeru imputted a few commands into his PET, and several seconds passed, the pandemonium around the square surrounding Voltman. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the PET let out a small, electronic *ping* sound. A recording of Voltman's voice came a split second afterwards.
Scan Complete.
Shigeru reviewed the results, while Voltman ran around, trying to calm everyone down.
No! It's not the black plague! We're programs! The Black Plague doesn't exist! Another navi ran by, screaming about the wrath of god upon them.
Hey now! There might be Atheists here! Besides, it seems to be... Shigeru, what does it seem to be?
No clue. No corruption that the scanner can detect, and no navis that don't show up on visual. If it's corruption, it's something new. If it's a navi, it's got a cloaking system like we've never seen before.
So we're trying to stop something when we DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS?!
Right.
Jeez... a needle in a haystack I could handle, but this is trying to find a single piece of invisible hay in a haystack! And we don't even know if it's hay!
Relax. Think this out.
Voltman took a deep breath, and reviewed the situation.
The navis that this force is taking out are seemingly random members. However, it is asking for something as well. Because it is speaking, we can rule out data corruption. This is a conscious entity. Chances are, because it is invisible and essentially invincible, it will take what it wants and leave. If what it is asking for is of great importance to the NetPolice, then we can't allow this to happen. But as the situation is, we are powerless. All we can do is remain as inconspicuous as possible, and hope that this villan will eventually take the path of the less intelligent and reveal himself to gloat.
At which time, we'll kick his ass.
Precisely.
Fine. Activate the GMO.
Voltman shrunk back into his child form, and jumped once more into the snack cart. After all, what's more inconspicuous than a child at a party eating nauseating amounts of sweets?
Zzzz...
A child at a party eating nauseating amounts of sweets and then going to sleep. Of course, Voltman was actually fully awake and aware, but his unseen opponent didn't have to know that.

Soulman extended his hand to Ayumi, "I have no clue what they're after. I mean, they were about to hand out souveniers. If they were just handing out 100 of them, like the announcement said, they can't be too valuable. If they assault us, I'll protect you. And if the food was poisoned, all it seems to be doing is incapacitating people. Since I didn't get a chance to snag any, I'll be fine. In other words, I'll be able to fight if anyone tries to take advantage of your helplessness, if you do become numb." Soulman looked around the room. There was a child, a girl in a robe, the monkey girl from earlier, and a girl with drums. He'd have to keep an eye on them to make sure they didn't get hurt as well.

"Are you responsible?!" Raiden demanded, halting in mid-stride and spinning around to face this new Navi. He fumbled for a second, registering this Navi's wings--he still seemed to have trouble getting over the fact that he was surrounded by CustomNavis--but then quickly snapped back to reality. The panels underfoot began to gray somewhat as Raiden began pulling power from the network around him. He was ready to let loose as soon as this winged Navi tried anything suspicious.
