Inside the shop

"Woah, are you okay? That bump looks nasty," Rania exclaimed, leaning forward. Drawing attention probably wasn't helping the matter, but she couldn't help being concerned, as he reminded her so much of her friend. "W-Well, er, thanks for the upgrades," she finished, realizing that she was probably being overly chummy and leaving. From there, she went to the rest area to get her navi and SP virus busting as quickly as possible.

((Heading out to Scilab))

Opening the doors of the Navi Shop with a hurried burst, Harke sprang into the shop area, not caring that much that all he was wearing was shorts. Walking up to the counter, he flipped out his zenny card and placed it on the top. "Excuse me, I'll have a Speed Upgrade and a HP Memory, please," he said, jumping a bit in his excitement.

"Alright, that comes to... 12000 zenny," Suitachi calculated, "Will you be paying with cash or credit?"

Taking Harke's zenny card from him, he nodded slightly adding, "Generic nondescript money card. Very good."

He swiped it through the register and collected the goods while he waited for the approval. It didn't take long for the transaction to go through and soon Harke got his new upgrades at the cost of most of his savings.

"Thank you, Mr. Suitachi. Be seeing you," Harke said as he swiped the upgrades off the countertop, and began installing them into the PET as he walked out.

Once more Aelieth bound up the stairs of the Metro and headed off to the Navi Shop. Once more he was here because something had screwed up with Holo's coding and needed repairs. Once more, that tiny, nagging tingle in the back of his mind posed the question "Are you really cut out for this?" And once more, Aelieth told the voice to kindly shut the hell up as he pushed open the door to the shop and found himself amid the wonderfully cheerful boxes of Navi Upgrades. He made his way to the front counter, whereupon he pulled out his wallet and removed some money.

"May I have two Process Upgrades, please?" He asked Suitachi, standing behind the counter as usual.

"Two process upgrades... right away," Suitachi noted, as he reached under the counter for the items of request, while his other hand took the zenny on the countertop and put it into the register without a glance.

Kchnk, went the cash counter as it received the money.

The shopkeeper placed the upgrades in a plastic bag on the counter, then waved off his signature greeting. "Thank you, and have a nice day."

Carting into the now-familiar shop, Camillia greeted the shopkeeper gently before placing the amount of zenny on the table. "Um, greetings-- Could I have two HP Memories, please? I think they should total up to about 2,500 zenny," she said politely to the shopkeeper.

Suitachi took Camillia's money and slid two white boxes across the counter to her in total silence without blinking. It was kind of creepy.

While a bit in a hurry, Sabrina slowed down a bit upon entering the shop, lest she wanted to get yelled at for running. There was someone already there, just like last time; unlike before, however, she knew the person there. "Hey, Camillia! Hey, Suitachi!"

...The latter wasn't blinking. Let's see if he was still like that after THIS purchase. "It's taken a while, but I finally have enough! I need...the final PowerUP! Number 12!" A whopping 12000z was placed on the table, showing that she was qualified to have it.

Still robotic were the movements of Suitachi, as if he wasn't alive or something silly like that. Unblinking, he reached towards a display case that showed off the highest PowerUP rank upgrade, and placed it on the countertop, taking the zenny and putting it in the register. His hands stood straight at his sides afterwards.

Then, the back door opened, with another Suitachi looking a bit haggard for his eyes. A mug of steaming black liquid was pulled up to his lips, and his eyes strayed to the counter. "Everything seems good," he mumbled to himself before moving back into the room. The Suitachi that was still there looked unfazed at this sudden strangeness, and simply stared ahead.

Weird.

Sabrina GET: PowerUP - Rapid (5/5/5)
Sabrina LOSE: 12000z

...Huh. Suitachi didn't blink, but Sabrina sure did. Did he really have a lifelike robot of himself? Oh well, so long as SplashMan's buster was maxed. With a wave at her acquaintance (and the not-quite-Suitachi), she fled the store, having other places to go at the moment.

(FLEEING TO DENTECH)

As Rania began to head out of the shop, her SP coughed, trying to subtly beg her attention. Looking down tiredly, Rania addressed her. "What is it, Damascus?" she asked, raising one eyebrow.

"I'd be a lot more efficient if you would re-enable my steel skin. It might require sapping some efficiency from MeleeMan, but I believe it would increase my survivability," the SP offered.

Rania groaned, slapping her hand to her forehead. "Couldn't you have told me this BEFORE I reprogrammed MeleeMan?" she cried, but her navi simply bowed apologetically. Rania couldn't stay angry, so she simply marched back to the counter and shelled out another 220z. "Suitachi, I'm going to need a process edit," she grumbled, looking embarrassed at having to ask for one right after upgrading her navi.

Suitachi chuckled a bit as he listened in on the girls' conversation, which couldn't have been very good for her self esteem or lack of embarrassment.

However, once she approached he regained complete poise. "Oh? Sure thing. I do enjoy having repeat customers. They're one of the key ingredients to staying in business."

The man went back under the counter and grabbed a Process Edit. This time he was careful not to injure himself.

He laid the upgrade down and took the cash. Then, looking his customer up and down quickly, he smiled. "Have a nice day." he said cheerily, as if hoping to return her to her earlier, cheerier mood.

Rania LOSE: 220 Zenny

[narrator sarcasm]Nothing could possibly make Rania quite as happy as shelling out extra cash for her own mistakes.[/narrator sarcasm] Giving an extremely forced smile and a polite nod, she took what she'd requested and left the shop.

"Thank you sir," she bowed slightly as she turned and stared at Sabrina dumbly before acknowledging her existence. "Ah, hello there," she greeted politely, then staring at the zennies passed over the counter. She bit her lip silently, but said nothing-- and immediately dropped the act a few seconds later. "Things progressing well for you?"

Seeing how she hurriedly waved at her, however, she just nodded and left the shop herself.

Not one, but two people he had met at the Tournament had entered behind him. And not only that, they had gone before he had gathered his purchase... Was he really being that slow today? Shrugging, Aelieth gathered up his stuff.

"Thanks," he said, heading out the door and to a secluded place where he could apply the upgrades

Jared walked into Suitachi's shop, and straight up to the counter. He didn't bother perusing the catalog first this time, as he knew exactly what he wanted for once. "Heya. I'd like to purchase a Number 17 and a Number 18 Process Upgrades." Jared swiped a card through his PET, loading the requisite amount of 3500 Zenny on it, then placed it upon the counter.

Suitachi was still vaguely smiling, looking out the glass door at those bright netbattlers the future of tomorrow who did not work and garnered their cash reserves through playing something akin to video games of old.

He was shaken from his daydream to the interruption of JT, who he nodded briefly before taking out the process upgrades absentmindedly. His hands knew the location of everything by heart, and he swiftly placed the upgrades on the counter. He took the card and sliced it through the register, and waited for it to process. After a moment, Suitachi nodded and slid the upgrades toward JT.

Jamie walked into the store with an exasperated expression that was obvious from at least 50 feet. She let out a gigantic sigh as she walked through and planted the PET on the counter with a world-weary look at Suitachi.


"This navi. Needs the speakers broken. Like, broken and then the PET needs to be tossed into the sea. Uh, well that's not actually why I'm here, before you turn me in to the NSPCA. I'm here on account of an 'Erin Nagasaki' to buy four 'Process Upgrades,' for a total of 10200 zenny. They are the 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th respectively. Thanks. I'd like to get this back to her as soon as possible so I do not have to do this thing again." Jamie gave a wan smile before tugging her jacket a little tighter and shivering slightly.

"Erin Nagasaki, yes... I remember you. The Navi that needed to be muted. All right, just a minute. Where did I put those high-level ones..." Suitachi mumbled as he rummaged around in a small pile behind the counter. Some throwing of random items later, four upgrades were placed on the countertop for the nurse to pick up.

"Have a nice day."
