A new firey jorney begins!

This is where Joseph is.

Sparks arrived to an area of the net he had never been to. The Kotobuki area. His surroundings gave off a very cheerful vibe, which only seemed to motivate him further. "This looks like a good place to start." He stood straight up, left hand relaxing on the hilt of his katana. Surveying the landscape around him, Sparks wondered what kind of viruses inhabited the area. The samurai wouldn't have to wait long however, as a virus was sure to attack as soon as they caught sight or smell of the fresh new data in their homeland.

(((Requesting battle 1)))
Sparks was probably shocked as the whole peaceful surroundings changed on him. Four goalpost/towers came out of the ground, two right in front of him, and two across the field. AND they began to spout lava from openings along the columns. Quickly the area became enflamed and engulfed, until the lava-spewing towers stopped, leaving two areas of normal terrain that looked like goals to a football field filled with lava. A fire-breathing cooking stove emerged from the lava, followed by a knight with a flaming sword teleporting next to the Oldstove. On the other side of the field, a GMD materialized between the two poles, and a friendly-neighborhood Needler virus swept in from outside to take up position between the goalposts to defend the GMD from Sparks.

-- Battle 1 Ready? Start!! --
Sparks gave a quick bow in respect for his enemies. "May your deletions come swift, and without pain." The temperature of the battlefield had risen immensely with the lava engulfed scenery change. The navi felt as if he was sitting inside of the Oldstove virus that stood in front of him. His operator, and himself seemed to be on the same page, because they both knew what was next. Sparks let out a deep breath, focusing his aim towards the Swordy, and rusty bucket of a stove, while Joe uploaded the PhoenixShot1 battle chip.

The firey bird of rebirth blasted itself towards the two viruses that its current master had aimed for. Even though the attack shared the affinity as it's targets, contact would mean massive damage, if not deletion itself. "We're not finished yet!" Joe yelled, "SideBubble1 battlechip, download!" Joseph uploaded the watery weapon, trusting that Sparks would know what to do with it.

Sparks next move was all about attacking with defense, he let the two bubbly anchors materialize right in front of him, side by side, hoping to use them as a shield, that would protect him from any sort of counter attack the viruses mustered up in retaliation.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary
1. Take aim
2. PhoenixShot1 [Damage: 70 + Wide Attack Accuracy: A] aimed at Swordy-f, and Oldstove.
3. SideBubble1 [Damage: (60 x2 bubbles / 60 + Break x2 anchors) Accuracy: E / A] floating in front of Sparks.exe
Finding himself in the middle of an impromptu football match, Sparks did what he did best and simply sallied forth, starting the assault off well with a PhoenixShot chip. As it soared forward, it struck the OldStove cleanly before it could execute its attack, while the Swordy teleported past the shot and struck Sparks with its own fiery blade. (-10) The Needler began to swerve slightly from side to side before firing off a couple of needles in his direction as well. Fortunately, Sparks had a solution ready, which was to intercept its attack with a couple of anchor-containing SideBubbles. One of the Needler's needles was intercepted by the bubble, while the other needle went wide. The anchor inside the bubble that burst was launched forward, knocking off a good chunk of the Needler's body.

The flaming slash of doom chipped away at the samurai's armor. The attack managed to cause a little bit of damage. Sparks took offense to the blade wielding virus's puny attack. "You want to cross swords with me?" His words carried so much confidence behind them. "I guarantee that my swordsmanship is on a whole other level than yours."

"You're damn right it is. Sword battlechip! Download!" Joseph happily sent Spark's favorite weapon to him. "Destroy them."

Sparks processed the data, and grabbed the hilt at his left side. Without hesitation the fearless warrior unsheathed his newly digitized sword, the blade rubbed against its scabbard causing his first attack to build momentum. As soon as the sword left the sheath, it lashed out towards the Swordy-F. If the sword strike landed, it would undoubtedly split the enemy symmetrically in half.

The sword's lust for fresh data wouldn't be quenched however. Sparks would now turn his attention towards the Needler virus. Suddenly a light bulb went off inside the proud navi's head. He angled a slash at his own weapon that had been used the turn before. The idea was to send the anchor flying into the virus that stood guard over the mysterious green data behind the goal post.

"Don't let up, dodge and pursue." Joe barked orders from the real world. He was watching his navi make magic on the battlefield. Sparks followed his operators commands without missing a beat. Sparks would chose to side step to the left predicting that he was in the line of fire for a volley of needles. After what he hoped to be a well timed dodge, he would rush the Needler, right behind the anchor the samurai would swing the sword towards its pointy little opponent.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary

Finally bringing out his mainstay weapon, courtesy of his operator, Sparks began attacking relentlessly as he bisected the Swordy easily with his own blade before it could react. Perhaps for the love of some flair, he then turned his blade towards the bubble that had been released before. Unfortunately, the bubble's allegiances weren't set in stone, as the attack caused the anchor projectile to turn on him instead! Luckily enough, he was able to dodge it at the last second by a stroke of luck, but that could have easily been quite disastrous. Finally, he met the Needler with his sword, though the machine-like virus was able to retaliate with one final needle before croaking. (-5) Thus, the battle was won quite handily, and he would be left to access his prizes at his leisure.

The sword shattered, signaling the end to the quick battle. Now the victorious duo were faced with a decision. A decision that couldn't be more one sided. Sparks walked to the green diamond. He placed his hand on it, signifying he wanted to open it.

The GMD opened up to reveal...

Sparks sent the reward to the PET. Such a lucrative prize for an easy fought victory. "Let's keep moving forward." Joseph had a huge grin on his face. It was hardly a lot of money, but he felt as if he had won the lottery.

(Requesting battle 2)
Just as Sparks was about to walked out from between the Goalposts, he noticed that grasslands stretched out in front of him as far as the eyes could see. It looked like there was a bunch of viruses resting in the field. The first one, a creature in a brown cloak with fire coming off its head, was standing around watching the other three. The second virus was a large drill that was moving about through portals. The third was a green jackhammer resting on the ground. And the last one looked like a large gray mouth sitting on a cannon stand. The Mettfire saw Sparks and gave a screetching alert to the other viruses and then summoned three flaming meteors above Sparks. They dropped down upon him, but he deftly evaded the inaccurate rocks. The meteors smashed into rubble on the ground around him, the fires fading away with a slow burn. It was a fight!

Sparks witnessed the Metfire's attack first hand, as the great balls of fire crashed all around him. This, however did nothing to phase him. The samurai remained focused as always. However, he had never encountered any of these enemies before, so he had to keep his guard up. The grassy field that covered everyone's feet left Joseph, and Sparks alike wanting to make the same first move as last time. A fiery attack was sure to set the grassland ablaze dealing out double the damage.

Again, without communicating, Joseph uploaded the PhoenixShot1 chip data, and Sparks knew what was coming. The samurai held out his right hand, holding an open palm facing the the group of viruses. Flames began to spiral out of control all around his arm, until finally the firey bird took shape. It launched itself towards the newly awakened group of viruses. The attack was wide, and had the ability to hit multiple viruses, but Sparks used the cloaked figure as his point of aim.

Sparks continued his strategic assualt with a quick handsign, suddenly splitting himself into three entities. Only one however, was the real navigator. He, and his freshly summoned clones charged forward behind the first attack. Their movement forward was trickery at its finest. They weaved inside and out of each others path, in an attempt to fool the opponents. The navi didn't want to rush in without thinking, so he kept his head up, and his eyes open. This would hopefully allow him to evade the first set of counter attacks the viruses would send his way.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary
1. PhoenixShot1 [Damage: 70 + Wide Attack Accuracy: A] aimed at Metfire, and it's surroundings.
2. [Elec clone] - [Decoy type]. Summons two decoys that appear to be the same as Sparks.exe for one turn.[1 TCD]
3. Dodge

The Mettfire's flaming meteors were met with a fiery phoenix. The Mettfire nodded its approval, and respect for the fire attack, before the grass ignited around it and its body was consumed in the inferno. All that was left of the virus and the grass around it was dust. A patch of soil remained behind.

Sparks made some decoys and began dodging as the Drixol and the PogoJack rushed him. The drill virus rushed at Sparks, and struck a clone, destroying it. But before the PogoJack could reach them, the Drixol showed how much stronger it was by opening a portal as it passed through the clone, and appeared at another spot near Sparks. Coming in at a completely different angle, it rushed through the area again. Thankfully claiming another clone to its spinning drill and leaving Sparks unscathed. However, it was clear that Drixols were dangerous opponents, with a two-stage attack.

The PogoJack, basically a mobile jackhammer, jumped at Sparks. Thankfully, the multiple strikes of its pneumatic movements against Sparks both missed, but it left the area that Sparks and it were standing on cracked.

Finally, the Hardhead turned red and opened up its protective shell, revealing that it had a cannon hidden within.

Sparks was very impressed with the strength that the drill showed. That strength however was sure to be crushed. Sparks was focused on his next move when suddenly Joseph blurted out, "Drats!!! I keep forgetting we have this chip." The operator slotted in his Pickpocket battlechip. The bandcoon was summoned right in front of the samurai.

"Now go, take what you can." Sparks commanded the newly summoned pet. The chip worked its magic, and the bandcoon charged towards each virus trying its best to steal whatever data it could. Once it was finished, it would either return to Sparks with something good, or empty handed only time would tell.

Sparks would first focus on the unknown. It was obvious that once the Hardhead opened its mouth and turned red, an attack was about to come. Not to mention it was easy to tell that it was completely defenseless when doing so. Joseph seen this as well and sent his navi another chip. "MachineGun1! Battlechip, download!"

The samurai had used this weapon many times before, knowing it was very hard to control. A stationary target couldn't be that hard to hit, could it? The gun materialized, and Sparks grabbed it with both hands, pulling it tightly into his shoulder. This was to help brace for the kickback. His finger eased itself onto the trigger until the 9 shots fired in the Hardhead's direction.

As soon as the gun ran out of ammo, Sparks tossed it to the side. It shattered into many pieces of data which floated off into the digital sky. He had to keep his guard up because some kind of attack was coming. When the next round of attacks came he would roll forward in an attempt to avoid them, while also closing the distance to their side of the field.

--------------------------------
Summary
1. Pickpocket Damage: 0, Accuracy: B, Description: Summons a Bandcoon to steal from opponents before vanishing. At Random
2. MachineGun1 Damage: (30 x 9 Shots) + Spray Fire, Accuracy: D at Hardhead
3. Dodge

ElecClone: 0 TCD ready next turn.

The bandcoon looked between the three viruses and then rushed off toward the Hardhead. It passed by with a tail swipe and seemed to nick something. It scampered off like a thief until the battle was over, chittering.

As Sparks brought a machine gun to bear on the Hardhead, the PogoJack attacked him. The PogoJack leaped over Sparks and then tried to land on him, but Sparks dodged out of the way and was unharmed. At least five out of nine shots strike true and the Hardhead is deleted before it can act.

Leaving the Drixol to deal with the troublesome navi. Unnaturally accurate, it strikes Sparks straight on (-20), followed by teleporting through at another angle and striking Sparks again (-20).

"SPARKS! What are you doing!?" Joseph questioned. "How did you manage to get hit by the same attack, twice... In a row?"

"I'm sorry master, it happen again." Sparks words carried a calm anger to them. Not towards his owner, but towards himself. Joseph was disappointed, on top of the samurai being upset with himself. He would not make the same mistake twice. The Drills pattern of attack was simple, even if the attack itself was somewhat complex. "Send me my favorite sword."

Just like that, the two of them were on the same page again. They shook of the errors that had just been made, and looked to the future. Joseph slotted in his navi's favorite chip. The ElecSword was a powerful weapon, espcially in the hands of a swordsman like Sparks. On the battlefield the warrior unsheathed his blade which burst open like a strike of lighting, slowly calming into a thin blade of electricity. "I commend you on your abilities, you were a tough opponent... but now you die!" In a classical, yet cliche scene he waited for drill to start its first attack, rushing towards the Drixiol he would unleash a well timed slash wanting to sever the virus perfectly in half.

If that attack were to fail, Sparks was prepared for the Drixol's second attack, that he knew would come from an angle. Once the virus closed in for a second attack it would be met with a second attempt from the samurai's shocking slash. His slashes and movement were so fluid as he cautiously tried to move towards the PogoJack. Using up the last bit of power the chip could give him, the navigator attacked once more with his weapon of choice.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary
1. Damage: 80 + 10(Same type, one target bonus) Slashing + Wide Attack, Accuracy: B at Drixol
2. Damage: 80 + 10(Same type, one target bonus) Slashing + Wide Attack, Accuracy: B at Drixol
-Free dodge due to SwordPlay
3. Damage: 80 + 10(Same type, one target bonus) Slashing + Wide Attack, Accuracy: B at PogoJack
After being reprimanded by his operator for having sustained such an easily avoided attack, Sparks was sent his trusty electrical sword to atone for his mistakes. Not to commit ritual suicide, of course, but to defeat his enemies with. The Drixol was summarily defeated as he bisected it with his sword, but the PogoJack proved a bit too feisty for the swordmaster, with a fumble in his step causing the flooring which he was on to break apart. This caused him to plant himself right in a precarious position for the PogoJack to stomp on his head twice with its attack (-10x2), though it, too, received a severe strike from Sparks, and was promptly defeated as well. With the battle over, the Bandcoon took its chance to bound over to the hole-bound samurai to bring him its spoils.

"Whew that was a good battle." Joe smiled as he received his rewards. His navi had taken to much damage so he activated his last minienergy subchip. "Almost time to finish up and head to bed, let's do a few more though."

Sparks was greatful for the slight recovery. He sheathed his bladeless blade, as the elecsword had dispersed after his last attack. Sparks decided to head deeper into the Kotobuki area, in search of his next challenge.

(((Requesting battle 3)))

Sparks came upon a large hole in the middle of the NET. It was like a lake of nothingness in Kotobuki. On the other side of the "lake" were a bunch of viruses, apparently a tank was lobbing bombs at the ground near the hole, trying to enlarge it. A cannon turret stood behind, next to a shrubbery virus with glowing beady eyes, a yapping wolf virus spouting flames from its mouth, a big guy with a shovel in one hand and an explosive mine in the other, and a cooking stove that also spat flames.

CannonDumbCannonDumb (CannonDumb)

CannonDumb viruses attack any targets in sight every action they are able to. They can and will attack objects, but only objects they can damage. They will not waste cannon fire on IronBody, Shadow, or Invisible targets. The exception is Canodumb DS, which will fire at anything with its DarkCannon's beam blasts. All CannonDumb viruses may opt to spend one action prior to attacking marking their opponent with target lock. They gain the 10% accuracy benefit of Take Aim against this opponent for any and all follow-on attacks until they lose sight of the target, or switch targets.

They may attack while moving, but as normal, they cannot attack while dodging without expending a second action to do so. Spikey viruses are also able to use something called 'pack tactics' when 3 or more of them are present. Simply put, the Spikey viruses attack and dodge as a wolf pack. In addition, they are treated as having a reduced power Haste and Accuracy Enhancement effect which grants them a +5% bonus to evasion and accuracy while this effect is active. The effect is passive, and only expires when their numbers drop below 3.

-- Battle 3 Ready? Start!! --
"So this is our next challenge huh?" Joe cracked his knuckles and prepared for battle. Searching through his folder fairly quick, he found their first offensive decisions. "We're not gonna forget about our little bandcoon anymore." He smiled, first slotting in the pickpocket battle chip. On the battlefield Sparks summoned his little pet, and sent it towards the Beetank virus, feeling it's weapon would be a great addition to their folder if the bandcoon could manage to take it.

Next, a Cannon battlechip would be slotted into the PET. The big blaster machine formed in front of the navigator. He chose the OldStove as his first target. "Kaboom!" the big gun fired off its one and only shot towards the cooking device. If the blow landed, they could say goodbye by to another unneeded kitchen device.

Sparks knew what to expect from some of the viruses. At the same time though, he had never encountered a few of them. So he kept his head up, and split himself into three. It was nothing more then an attempt to confuse his enemies. It had a second draw though, hoping the clones could lure the viruses into showing them what they could do. The three Sparks scattered in every direction and waited for what was next.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary
1. Pickpocket at Beetank
2. Cannon Damage: 60 + Knockback, Accuracy: A at OldStove
3. Elec Clone [Decoy type]. Summons two decoys that appear to be the same as Sparks.exe for one turn.[1 TCD]
Sparks summoned another Bandcoon and set it to rob the Beetank. Unfortunately, as the Bandcoon rushed by the Beetank, its tail failed to swipe any goodies before having to run away. Poor Bandcoon. The Oldstove shot a flamethrower worth of fire across the hole and it struck Sparks (-15). It also cracked the panel beneath his feet due to the intense heat.

In retaliation, Sparks shot a cannon at the flamethrower-spewing Oldstove. The cannon shell smashed into the Oldstove, caving in its metal face, and causing it to explode in a ball of fire. The Beetank lobbed a bomb at Sparks that exploded directly on the stationary navi (-15). The Miner (with explosive mine in hand) used its shovel to dig into the ground, disappearing from view for a moment. When it re-emerged from the ground, it was without its explosive mine.

Finally, Sparks created two decoys to protect and confuse the enemy. The other three viruses made their attacks then. The CannonDumb shot its own cannon at the three Sparks, and one clone vanished as it was struck. The Shrubby, exposed, runs behind the CannonDumb virus to take cover. The Spikey virus, abandoning the 'stand across a giant hole and launch attacks across it', rushes around the hole to breathe fire on Sparks. It shoots a fireball at one of the Sparks, and manages to tag the real one (-15). The fireball is powerful enough to pass through the real Sparks at an angle and spread through to hit the clone behind it, deleting it as well.
