Sparks and Lucky show up in Hades!

"Now that's a mighty fine blade don't you think Sparks?" Joseph gawked at the sight of the giant weapon.

"I would love to challange and cross swords with it's wielder." The samurai was pumped. He jumped on Lucky's back so that he could traverse the lava terrain unscathed, and get a closer look of the alluring sight.

"Yea... about that. You see that big ass hand... you could possibly be asking to fight a giant skeleton here." Lucky spoke steadily as they slowly made their way to the center.

The thumping rhythm didn't halt their movement, and only fueled Sparks excitement to understand more of what he as happening. Chilling words filled his ears as if they were carried by the cool wind... he looked around in an attempt to see where they had came from. His eyes returned to the bone hand, and giant blade. It was mesmerizing for a sword user like himself... especially one who loved to test the limits of his own skill.

"Who said that..." Lucky spoke first. Then followed with a cautionary growl... the dog's way of trying to intimidate the unknown...

((If battle starts, first action will go to Sparks equipping to Lucky.))
Cautious, the two watched and waited, readying themselves at the edge of the broad pool. The pulsing beat continued in its holding pattern, until the cool voice whispered across to them once more, harder now.

"Authentication Failed... Revoking Rights..." The gems on the sword flared up more suddenly and the steady holding beat increased to a more a active back beat. Each gem on the hilt began to pulse at different times to mirror the increased tempo while the red glow in the central ruby steadily grew. the hand and sword rose further up from the lava, slight creaking sounds of bone shifting as it did, then in a steady glide the weapon began to flow towards Sparks and Lucky, turning to present a very sharp edge as it engaged. Aware of the immediate danger, Sparks was quick to mount up and get ready for a fight. Somehow, the bubbling of the lava seemed to add a second strain of rhythm to the increased beat of the heavy sound. A more romantic person might even suppose that the sword was singing, or humming to itself, after a fashion.... though the beat was certainly more dramatic than casual.

Lucky was done waiting, the sense of danger filled the air and pulled at his keen senses. He growled once more. Then his mouth was set a blaze. A fire so hot, Sparks could feel the heat from his seat on the programs back. With a spit, Lucky sent a fireball towards the skeletal arm centered in the pool of lava.

A decoy Sparks split off from the real one, and ran a path tracing the lavas edge in a clockwise direction. Joseph slotted in a few chips to give his Navi some support. While Lucky hopped to the left anticipating a heavy falling slash from above. The first attack was aimed at the arm, while Sparks attack was gonna target the blade itself.

From dogback, he unsheathed his blade, activating the first chip. A metallic katana, of expert craftsmanship protruded from the handle he gripped in his hand. If the opposing giant decided to to come closer in order to meet his blade Sparks would counter there... if not, Lucky's immunity to fire terrain would come in handy as the samurai attacked with a blinding series of four slashes. The first slash came from above and aimed to have the edges of both blades meet, The second slash was from left to right targeting the side of the weapon, A third and fourth slash were aimed at the guard and the hilt and came in the same fashion as the first sword combo. He didn't have much range of motion on top of Lucky, and perhaps even less had they chose to step atop the lava, but Sparks would be able to bob and weave to the best of his ability hoping to avoid a return attack.

As they stood, cautious, upon the crater's edge, the ornate blade weaving through the magma towards them, the pair struck when the time seemed right. Lucky's fire ball blasted into the skeletal arm gripping the blade and with a sound of shattering bone it seemed to explode in a shower of fragments and sparks, scattering into the lava and assaulting the pair with chunks of decrepit bone shards. The music grew louder, the beat thrumming through them as the sword rose slightly higher in the shimmering air above the lava. A final few finger bones dropped from the hilt of the blade and into the lava as the sword came on, hovering on its own as the music pulsed.

When it drew close, Sparks attacked, but for its size, the blade moved deceptively, and his first stroke cut under it without connecting. His next met the blade, but a flash of sparks jumped from the edge as it seemed to parry him, then deflect and spin once, flicking around to slice back at him in return — the samurai barely managed to avoid the lighting quick retaliation.

Having drifted close enough to fixed Sparks in the centre of its mid-hilt ruby — for a brief moment he could see his own reflection — the sword began to return to the centre of the lake now, drifting back. Lucky was forced to give chase for Sparks to harry it, paws crossing the molten rock with small licks of flame as he did, but even as they chased it, the low voice whispered again.

"Revoking Folder Permissions..." Just before Sparks could lash out, a slim red beam shot from one of the smaller gems on the blade, ignoring all targets but Sparks and try as he might he couldn't stop the bolt from striking him in the centre of the chest. Strangely, he felt no pain; it didn't seem to have done any damage to him, but as he struck out with his katana, something was off. Hit first strike seemed to land true, scoring across the metallic hilt of the giant blade, but something was definitely wrong. His second strike didn't manage to find its mark, and as the blade disappeared from his hand a moment later, he cold feel the folder lock-out settling into place on him, blocking his access to further chips for now.

"It's no good Sparks. I can't send y'all any data. I'm sure it's only temporary... but stay focused. Who know's what else is under this magical blade's sleeve." Joseph went to slot in another chip, but the port kept spitting the chips out.

"I understand. We still have a few options." Sparks replied. "Be Ready for anything Lucky". A cloud surrounded Sparks' body, producing a thin transparent barrier to defend himself from attacks. There wasn't much he could do, since the folder lock would prevent the duo from reaching into a huge portion of their arsenal. He would continue to suck and weave, until a more opportune moment for him to attack arose.

With his chip connection crashed out for the time being, sparks quickly fell back on his personal defences instead, while the hovering sword twisted away and made a quick series of flourishes that saw the blade spin low with one rotation and cute several more diagonals through the air as it manoeuvred. Sparks and lucky kept clear of the glinting edge as each part of its motions lined up with the heavy beat of sound, but it didn't seem as though the sweeps had actually been aimed at cutting either of them — rather, as it slowed back to an upright position, the blade seemed to have used the defensive flourish to retreat back fully to the centre of the magma lake.

"Revoking Custom Signature Permissions..." the spectral voice sighed in sparks' mind, before, almost too quickly to react to, the gem on the other end of the blade's hilt glowed then released a razor-tin line of red light that streaked across the pool like a tracer beam. Sparks and Lucky tried to get away from this one, but it was simply too fast — it seemed to lance through his barrier and clipped the swordsman on the right shoulder as he tried to dodge.

He felt another interrupt weighing down on him — his barrier had survived the slim beam, and once again, it didn't seem to have done him any physical harm, but not the ethereal defence flickered out as Sparks felt his signature system lock up. Though curiously, perhaps, Lucky did not experience the same; the signatures allocated to the steadfast support program specifically seemed untouched.

"What's a matter Sparks?" Joseph questioned.

"Are you okay? Lucky followed up.

"I... feel... fine?" Sparks words wavered as he spoke. "It seems this enemy has separated me from any realistic form of offense I could fight it with, for the moment anyways. Lucky, I'm counting on you. The lock on our folder should free up soon enough, keep me out of harms way."

The dog could traverse the hot liquid beneath him with ease, and he had an ace hidden. While Sparks did nothing but focus on trying to avoid any more slashes be them damage inducing or problem causing, Lucky waited till the hand showed a sign of movement, before flashing closer to it's left side. In an attempt to catch it off guard, at close range his mouth erupted in to intense flames. Then an ember erupted from below the enemy that shot straight up into the air, before collapsing back down. A brief moment before the flame continued would allow the duo to see if the chow chow's attack had been productive. The fire pushed past it's target, towering high then vanishing in repetitious fashion. This continued in a line until it finally fizzled out in the distance.

Sparks continued to bob a weave anytime the sword showed any type of motion. It was a pain not being able to attack with his own sword. "This is a very disgraceful approach to battle... stop these games and let our swords meet in a battle of Swordplay and let the better warrior win..."

Increasingly debilitated by the hovering sword blade, Sparks took to a defence-minded focus, watching the steady pulse of light in the blade's crystals in time with the agitated beat reverberating through the crater. The blade drifted back and forth in the air for a moment, then lunged in; whether it was taking sparks' challenge seriously, or whether it had simply decided that Sparks was disabled enough to attack, it seized on the opportunity to slice at both the samurai and his mount in a rapid succession of sweeps.

Sparks ducked around one, but as Lucky repositioned, despite his attempts to dodge, the low cut of the blade clipped him. The pup had a stronger response, however, an released a trick he'd been keeping hidden; the pillar of fire erupted underneath the sword, bathing it in materials that, by any real sense oughtn't have done anything to it, all things considered, yet sheathed in whatever coding that made up the chip attack, they would both be relieved to see that the fire column dealt some noteworthy damage tot he flying weapon.

As the fire receded, the blade glowed red hot, vibrating slightly, and the cold whisper that Sparks had been hearing returned as a rumble like grinding stones.

"Revoking Support Permissions..." Sparks was ready for another lance of red light, but this one streaked from the pommel stone of the blade and stuck Lucky instead. For a moment, Lucky kept moving, but as the lock-out took hold he went still beneath Sparks, and then with a lurch, intangible. Sparks tumbled to the surface of the boiling lava, beginning to sink slowly in the scalding heat, while a quick look to his companion showed him Lucky downed and flickering — He could see the pup, certainly, but it didn't look like he could move or function, or interact with the battle at all, for now. The connection was there, but it was closed off and shut out. The blade turned on Sparks and he got his bearings — as long as he kept moving, it seemed like the surface f the magma was viscous enough to support him, though it was far from pleasant.

"Revoking Custom Setting Access..." It might have been his imagination, but the grating mental voice sounded angrier now, and the red glow hadn't faded from the edge of the otherwise silvery sword. This time, the large central ruby on the hilt lit up, sending out a searing beam of red light that was almost the same size as sparks. The samurai managed to roll himself out of the way of this one at the last moment, but it was a near thing.

The burning liquid seeped into the cracks of Spark's boots singing the soles of his feet as he slowly sunk in. Sweat dropped from his brow, his gaze resting upon the now frozen Lucky. "I see... you have no intention of a fair fight. You continue to limit our capabilites and leave us fighting with a handicap. Your folder magic has worn off however, and I'm coming to end this." An inner glow of confidence surfaced into a pysical glow of fire as Sparks' body was engulfed in flames. When the flames suddenly ceased like a candle being blown out, the samurai stood changed... as a new form overtook his previous look.

Cosmetic Changes: His hair changes from blond to black. Sparks navi suit changes to black, and loses it's sleeves showing a more muscular physique on his arms. A pair of light red, with black trimming samurai gauntlets cover his hands up to right below his elbows. His helmet remains mostly the same, except the color flashes over to light red, while the lighting bolt aesthetics turn into an oranges flame design. Instead of the armor that covered much of his upperbody, now he was left with a sleeveless breast plate, with shoulder pads. The color was a matching light red. The armor that covered the samurai's legs was now gone, being replaced by a pair of cloth light red hakama pants that stopped just at his feet to show some plain wheat colored straw sandals. His lighting katana was now replaced by a tremendous, red-poled halberd.

The pain at his feet went away, as his newly fashioned straw sandals seemed to let him float just at the lava's liquid edge. "Thank you General Lee... I will use this power to defeat my foe." He said lowly. With a stern look he forced his will to spread around him wanting to cause the floating weapon to waiver under fear.

"MeteorKnuckle1, Battlechip in, download."

LeeSparks raised his newly equipped halbred into the sky. "You've toyed with us long enough. I'm ready to end this." One by one, three fist materialized and launched themselves from the tip of the long weapon. Each fist flew fast as a bullet towards the floating sword, looking to smash into its reflective shield. The chip proved to be a very powerful asset, because as long as just one met it would bring an end to the magical sword's shield. Still that attack wouldn't be enough, but as long as it hopefully did it's job and taken care of the enemies reflective prowess. LeeSparks would continue his onslaught. First a swift evasive roll would hopefully keep him out of the blade's attack wether it be targeting his health or be it another attempt to lock one of his abilities down. The dodge would carry the warrior to the left slightly, while Joseph sent one more chip.

"Standout, Battlechip in, download!"

There was no wasted movement. LeeSparks concentrated... with more effort then usual since his signature system was still locked... He tightend his focus and kept the enemy in his sight. Once again fire covered the Navi's body, this time the outline of his body could still be seen from under the eruption of fire. With a burst of speed he lept at the sword with a flaming tackle that would be powerful enough to bring an end to the mysterious opposition if the attack was to connect, forbidding anymore strange defensive measures aside.

Despite the scorching burn of the lava, Sparks had no option but to continue his battle in the middle of the lava-filled crater, against the rhythmically pulsing thrum of the animate sword. The small gems on its hilt were pulsing in different compliment to the overpowering reverberation of the main gemstone's beat while the blade hovered in the air, swaying back and forth around Sparks. As his chip access recovered, finally, the samurai changed tack and made a quick gambit, calling up his time spent with General Lee, and unleashing a burst with his transformation that sent small ripples through the magma. The sword remained unfazed by his outfit change, but his follow-up was more efficient.

The series of meteor-like shots from his blade streaked out and though the twisting of the blade saw he first shoot past it, the second connected with a satisfying clang of force on meal. The blade spun over in the air, flipping like a thrown knife, before plunging down into the lava and out of sight, leaving the third fist to impact into the liquid rock with a splash; sparks couldn't tell if it found its mark or not, but the thickness of the lava made it seem unlikely.

For a moment it seemed like Sparks was alone in the middle of the lava pool, but his combat routines were still engaged and Lucky was still struggling to retain his presence. A ripple in the lava drew his eye; coursing motions under the surface surrounding him, making a broad circle, not unlike a shark in water. He had to turn in place to keep track with where it seemed to be, but even then, it was hard to say exactly; the lava itself gave him no good line of sight. The waiting was excruciating, though, especially when he had to know it was recharging its abilities every moment, though thanks to his new form, the lava no longer scorched him like it had been.

Before long, the waiting was too much and, taking aim as best he could, Sparks empowered himself for a charging dive tackle, blasting his way briefly beneath the surface of the lava in an effort to hammer the sword into submission once and for all. The boiling rock would have scalded him earlier, but now he cut through it easily before rising up again, and turning back to continue facing his foe. Unfortunately, though, the indistinct circling of the sword's passage had only shifted a little, and Sparks hadn't felt an solid impact on his dive through. It had to emerge soon though... and Sparks could feel his own abilities recovering as well. Lucky's image clarified and the pup looked to be getting back to his feet now, shaking off the brief isolation.

"You still haven't taken care of this thing." Lucky yawned, his tongue hanging lazily out of his mouth as he struggled to stand. The day had taken alot out of him... the crash brought him little rest, though he joked, "I thought I'd take a little nap and let you finish things up, but it seems you cant do it without me hmmm?"

"It's fighting very dishonorably. Look at it now. It's hiding underneath the lave with a shield up.

"Well... the thing about this lava is..." A silver flame began glowing in the dogs mouth. He spat it out towards the center of the pool of lava, covering it in a layer of metal that was sure to kick the wielderess blade to surface... had it not chosen to do so already. Once the blade was hopefully in sight once more, Lucky fired off another fire ball, this one was of a fires natural glow. It flew towards the the enemy looking to shatter it's reflective shield once more.

"BigHammer1, ElecSword... battlechips, download!" Joseph's voice carried a hint of irritation. The battle was taking longer then he had expected. He could tell his team was worn out, and felt bad about pushing them so hard, but it would only make them stronger in the end. The finish line couldn't be far off... as long as it was the finish of the blade and not vice versa.

The tip of LeeSpark's halbread changed to a large hammer head. "I will crush you this time." With unwavering confidence the flaming samurai rushed the floating weapon. The tapping of his foot steps almost seemed to match the rhythm of the pulsing beat. Adrenalin carried him forward, and it seemed like it was easier now to tighten his focus. As LeeSparks rushed forward he had one hand up high on his weapon's handle, the other low, with all his might he swung the powerful hammer from behind him, over his head, and attempted to slam it down atop the BeatCleaver. Hoping to avoid a counter attack had Lucky and his coordinated break attempts failed to finish the job, Sparks would dodge, and attempt to take the enemies left side, and get in better position for his next attack.

With his faculties recovered, Sparks expressed his dissatisfaction at the sword that wouldn't play fair while he sought for the right opportunity to attack it properly. Just as Lucky was about to curtail its submerged movements, however, the ripples stopped, then, with a particularly heavy bass pulse of beat, the lava beneath sparks erupted.

The blade emerged in a lifting, spinning slash that trailed lava and fire with t as it scored up across the Samurai's waist and torso, damaging him badly. Lucky's transformation went off a moment later, transforming the centre of the lake, but even as the smooth metal spread out, a responsive ripple followed, consuming the panels immediately and returning them to lava again; every gem on the sword glowed brightly as the voice, now like grinding rock rattled through them.

"Revoking Terrain Alterations... Eliminating Support Interference..." Still trailing magma and glowing the bright red of tempering steel, the sword spun again, slicing around low to the lava's surface. Lucky tried to make a shot, but the blade sliced through his form with a brutal efficiency and the shot went wide as the unfortunate support program was ejected from the fight in a more lasting manner.

As his companion fell, however, it did give sparks the opportunity he was waiting for, and with a decisive swing he brought his transformed weapon down across the flat of the massive blade, just as it began to right itself. the satisfying sound of twisting steel cut through the pulses of sound, and as the blade snapped, a shower of sparks and fire began to spray from the broken hilt of the weapon, sending it skittering across the lava in erratic circles while the gemstones blazed with gouts of fire. As it crashed into the rocky shoreline, a final pall of fire seemed to consume it, and the last of the thrumming sound faded away, leaving only the background pops and bubbles of the lava.

The remains of the sword hilt, most of its gems all cracked and dull, began to decompile itself slowly, but at its core there seemed to be something that Sparks could take with him and use, if he claimed it quickly. On closer inspection, one of the hilt gems remained intact as well, glowing with a faint flicker of fire in its core; the tiny flame danced in time to the beat that had previously been filling the crater, and beyond, but sparks would only be able to hear it now if he listened to the gemstone very closely.

Lucky fought the good fight but in the end wasn't strong enough to withstand the magical swords onslaught. Unintentionally though Sparks used that to his advantage and finished off the BeatCleaver with one final attack. The spoils of battle were well earned, and almost seemed to justify the difficult road that had traversed to get to where he was now. "Another blade to add to our collection master." Sparks claimed his prizes and uploaded them. Activating the FireSword. In his LeeCross, the blade of his balbred burned bright as the firey blade appeared to replace the already existing metallic one. He gave it three test swings that inevitably caused it to break into junk data and vanish

"Yes.. our collection is growing. Maybe we should focus on acquiring an AquaSword and a BambooSword." Joseph pondered the quest. "Well for now, let's go turn in this bounty, and get you logged out so you can recuperate.
