[Previous Thread: Sofia's Simple Comforts, Yoka]
A lone telepad in a connection hub of the Dentech network illuminated itself as a pale, zombie-like female Navi stepped through. Scourge had been jacked into the network, though it didn't look as if she was completely herself. Replacing her usual expression, a blank face stared listlessly forward, as if she wasn't even conscious. As it wasn't very late, a few Navis were still around, and glanced in her direction, due to her rather... interesting design. Scourge seemed to pay them no mind as she hobbled forward.

Spelunking in the Night

As much as Scourge didn't seem to be entirely herself right now, the late night DenTech network remained true to form and it wasn't long before, after travelling a short way and conveniently leaving behind any other navis in easy distance, a small variety of other life-forms began to show up. It began when she was shambling through a wide corridor with long seating benches set into either wall. A short way behind her, one door had stood closed, while ahead, a second one looked to be open for the moment, leading into a side room. The hall itself was mostly dark, though the blink of red security lights showed that it was monitored.
The same monitoring, though, didn't seem to particularly care about the Snoozy, predictably, snoozing on on of the benches just a few steps ahead of scourge, on her left. Equally, it didn't seem to be raising any kind of alarm about the pair of intimidating IronShields directly ahead of her, obscuring all but a very narrow centre path down the hallway. Their shields had been up initially, but as they noticed Scourge approaching both lowered them towards her with clear aggression.

Sofia blinked her eyes blearily, as she tried to see what was going on around her. It seemed like she was moving along a slightly wide, dilapidated-looking alleyway, though it didn't feel like she was walking. In fact, her feet didn't even sense anything underneath them, as if she was hanging onto something and just left her legs free to dangle. Her head felt strangely light as she wandered through the pathway. Towards the sides were some wooden box containers, lined up to look like seats. The whole setting felt very familiar, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. It was almost like she was in a dream.
The girl halted in her tracks, and looked down at one of the piles of boxes. On top of it was a sleeping young man, though his appearance was rather twisted. For one, he didn't look like he was wearing any clothes. His exposed skin was a ghastly shade of white, and his body was completely smooth, lacking any form of mark, or appendage, or anything besides a torso, really. It was a bit funny to be honest, but she also felt really thirsty. Looking down, she thought for a moment. The white color really looked like the color of milk. She liked milk, it was a good source of protein and generally was available easily. Maybe under that smooth, white, milky skin, was some milk.
With a smooth movement, she swept the air before her with her hand. As if by magic, a spread of blue-colored cards appeared in front of her, each with a different picture on it. Sofia picked out the one with a blue knife on it. She liked the color blue, and cutting something open needed something sharp, like a knife. She reached out for the card, but before she could grab it, it shattered into pieces, leaving her grasping at empty space.
Suddenly, from behind her, a terrifying shriek rang out, its tone sounding quite female. Then, a ghastly-looking barely dressed woman dashed out. The woman was loosely covered by tattered-looking white bandages, and had two enormous-looking screw heads embedded into her upper arms. She wielded the blue knife Sofia had just saw, and began to attack the sleeping milky-white person like a crazed lunatic. However, strangely enough, Sofia felt at ease watching the scene. She didn't have to do it herself; someone else would do it for her! How convenient.
She reached out to tap the woman on her shoulder, but oddly, her hand passed right through the body. Huh? That was weird. She tried again. Still no purchase. Maybe the woman was a ghost. A friendly ghost, with a very sharp blue knife. Sofia smiled. "Good work, Ms. Ghost," she said, as she turned back to look down the alleyway, and saw a couple more visitors.
They kind of looked like police, from the color scheme that she saw. Police these days really had style these days, opting for a stylish grey-brown outfit. Though it didn't really look like they were very friendly, holding up enormous riot shields towards them. How scary, she couldn't even see their faces. Maybe they wanted something to do with her. She pulled out the blue cards again, and picked out one that had a big number 20 on it. The card, again, disappeared in front of her before she could catch it, but she'd already learned that was fine, so it was okay.
In front of her, the figures holding up the shields looked a little more sinister, as the light around them began to fade slightly, sinking them into the alley's darkness. Maybe now they'd leave her alone.

Restless dreamers and strange goings-on led to a dazed-seeming scourge beginning to lash out madly at the targets near her, and it seemed as though neither she, nor her sleeping operator were truly aware of what was going on at all. The snoozy was the first to reap the consequences of this, torn from its slumber by the blade of a knife.
Down the hall, the two IronShields witnessed this assault and prepared to fire, but in her current state, and swinging wildly, the navi approached them next. One virus fired its twin mortar, bombarding her with a triplicate of shots, but something seemed to have gone wrong; two of the three bomblets connected, but neither did any damage to scourge. The forward rushing hacking of her knife wasn't enough to reach the two immediately, but she closed the gap with enough space to make her third strike at one of the shielded targets. The blade glanced off the shield, but in response the guard popped upwards into the vertical position. This left scourge standing face to muzzle with the IronShield's main gun, which promptly fired at point blank range. Once more, something was wrong; the blast clearly crashed straight into the dead-eyed navigator, but nothing happened and no damage was dealt. If Scourge was dreaming restlessly and Sofia was asleep, then for the viruses here, this must surely seem like some kind of nightmare.

"Oh, there wasn't any milk..." said Sofia sadly, as she watched the milky-white figure dissipate into thin air. Oh well.
Sofia looked down the little alley and floated down its length, just as the crazed woman beside her whipped out to come closer to the riot-shield equipped police. One of them raised a small cannon, which appeared to shoot out some dispersal shots towards the woman. Strangely enough, even though they looked like they were being fired at enough force to at least heavily disorient someone, she remained unfazed, as her blue knife gleamed in what little light illuminated the area. Even Sofia could feel it herself, as the bleakness that the woman emitted repulsed her from going anywhere near her. Hunched over and with her long hair covering most of her face, the woman must have truly looked terrifying to the two riot cops.
Suddenly, Sofia saw that one of them had raised up its shield for some reason, in order to fire a water cannon at the nearby woman. Behind the shield, a bleak-looking grey mask covered the cop's face as he pulled the cannon's trigger. "Look out!" she cried out.
Despite it clearly being a water cannon, though, an explosive blast escaped the muzzle instead. But yet again, there appeared to be no effect towards the woman, as the only thing that seemed to change was that the bandages covering her seemed to be slightly more disheveled. She only briefly held the stance before lunging at the one exposed from behind its shield, and swinging wildly with the knife. It seemed to go on forever, but finally, the woman then threw the knife towards her target. The knife whizzed past the grey mask, and vanished.
She then turned her head towards the other one left. Though the more accurate term would be "twisted", as a sickening tearing sound escaped from the woman's neck when she did so. Between the raven curls of the woman's long bangs, Sofia could see a sense a piercing glare, as she appeared to evaluate her next prey.
"Tear him to pieces! Do it!" cheered Sofia, as she bounced in anticipation of the kill.

Having reached the two remaining hall guards, and popped the shield on one of them, Scourge didn't appear to be letting up in her dazed frenzy. The knife hacked and slashed, and though the target of her wrath tried to fire a second round directly into her face, it had as little effect on her as the first. No all of her wild strokes connected with the body of the virus, but enough did that it was swiftly rendered into collapsing junk data, the shield clanging to the floor tiles with an ominous echo as her body turned, horror-style to set sited on the second one.
It responded by taking a very slow step backwards from her, keeping its shield lowered and facing the strange navi, then firing another volley of three dispersal rounds, each impacting around Scourge with small bursts of sound and debris. As before though, the shots seemed to lack any power at all, and as much as Scourge didn't really seem to be in a position to pay attention to such things, even if she had been, it would have been hard for her to tell exactly which ones hit her and which didn't; none of them managed to cause any damage anyway. It took another very slow step backwards.

Watching the stared-down figure slowly take a step back, Sofia pointed at it indignantly. "Hey! Don't run away!" she said, summoning the cards in front of her once again, and selecting yet another glowing blue blade. This one looked a bit longer, though, as it shattered before her reach. However, the sword didn't materialize as it did with the little knife. Instead, the bandages around the woman's began to unravel into a long strand, before it hardened into a white razor-thin piece. Her zombie-like appearance betrayed her true speed as she dashed up to the only living one in the dark alley, letting out a primal roar as she did so. Skirting around the shield, she proceeded to make large, sweeping slashes with her sharpened bandage at a blinding rate.
"Go get 'em! Uh... Hm, wait," cheered Sofia, before stopping to think for a bit. She hadn't actually heard the woman's name yet, even though it seemed like she had been fighting under her whims all this time. It felt like she was familiar somehow, but she couldn't remember her name too well. Maybe it would good to give her a name. Or maybe ask her for one. Right now, though, she lounged about, watching the impromptu cooking show taking place in front of her with a little hum. The woman would probably finish soon so she could talk to her, or at least try.

At the continued violent threatening, and the apparition of a brand new, even nastier weapon, the remaining IronShield flinched, then raised its shield in the air and turned about to run in panic down the hall. Unfortunately, as much as this particular family of virus was quite capable of turning on the spot rapidly, it's ability to actually move away was very sluggish, and it was almost a slow-motion caricature of running away as Scourge mindlessly laid into it with her weapon. The conflict, if such it could be called, was over swiftly. All that remains was a scattering of junked data and various amounts of convertible zenny.

With the enemy well and truly routed, Sofia saw all of them melt into shadowy black apparitions, which quickly dissipated into smoke. The smoke funneled itself into a trail that was sucked quickly towards the woman, where it entered through the enormous screws below her shoulders. The woman inhaled sharply as all the smoke disappeared, and she appeared to grow slightly bigger before Sofia's eyes. In addition, the hardened bandage that had stuck out earlier softened and re-wrapped itself around the woman's arms. However, it began to do so much more quickly, forming a thick pair of purple gloves. The woman stood tall, clenching her newly-covered hands tightly, and turned back towards Sofia. Between her bangs, Sofia could see a single purple eye, glaring straight ahead. However, just before she could address the woman, she briskly walked right past Sofia, and down a small opening in the alley that they had missed.
"Ah, wait! Wait for me!" called out Sofia, as the girl hovered after her, though painfully slowly.

As scourge wandered into the side doorway, she'd discover what appeared to be a small classroom of some sort. A grid of wooden desks filled most of the space, with low storage cabinets running the length of three walls. The fourth held a large screen that was likely used for teaching. Each of the cabinets had several small gages on them, each holding what looked like a very agitated collection of bunny viruses.
At the back of the class room, a green crystal rotated slowly on the furthest shelf, but Scourge wasn't going to have too much time to take that in: upon seeing her, all of the caged bunnies began to spark and hop in their cages, growing more restless until, with a series of electrical snaps and the sounds of springing metal, they began breaking swiftly out of their imprisonment.

As Sofia hovered through the small doorway, the room lit up, and she heard the bell ring. "Oh, I'm late," she muttered, as she floated over to the front, and started sifting through the cards that were laid out on the front-most desk. This school looked kind of odd, as it just had these flashcards that showed big pictures on them. Two of them she had seen earlier, of the blue knife and the big plus sign. Spreading out the cards, however, got her a lot more. Some of them looked quite familiar, like a little alien-like creature with a lightning bolt on it. Others, like the electrical cone, she didn't quite recognize. Sofia then lined them all up and stacked them neatly on the desk, and looked around.
The classroom had a few bunnies in cages, though they looked a bit agitated, likely from lack of feeding over the weekend. "Oh, no, who was in charge of the feeding the pets?" said Sofia. She looked back down at the desk, and a clipboard with an attendance list had shown up on it. She lifted it up and started to read it, trying to find the person who had been responsible for the rabbits. Or, well, attempted to read, as the letters kept changing as she looked at it again and again. There was one name at the top that never changed, though, so it might have been her.
She looked back up, and there was a stark lack of students in the room too, save for the one woman she had been following. The bandage-wrapped woman looked about the classroom with a vicious glare, scoping out the rabbits, which now looked a little more than agitated. The noise coming from the metal cages was getting a bit deafening. "That's weird, everyone's late. The bell's already rung," muttered Sofia. She looked up behind her at the wall clock, but that too was unhelpful, since its numbers constantly shifted about, and she couldn't read the time. "Oh, well. Was there an assembly today, Miss..." she started, reading the name off of the clipboard. "... Scourge?"
The woman's piercing glare suddenly shifted to Sofia, with an obviously audible crack from her neck. The girl seemed to paid her no mind, though, as she looked past the woman's shoulder. "Ah, that's your name, then. Well, at least you're on time. Could you turn off that green lamp for me, by the way, Scourge? I don't know who brought that in but it's really bright and getting in my eye," said Sofia. "Scourge" shifted her view from the front to the back, and raised her arm towards the crystalline light source. The "lamp" was dimmed down to a manageable level, though it was mostly the light being blocked from all the bandages Scourge had wrapped around it.
At this point, the rabbits broke out of their cages with a loud clang, sending metal pieces everywhere about the room. "Ah, they broke the cages..." said Sofia sadly, though fortunately she didn't get any of the debris her way. She was going to have to clean it up now, which was a bit of a pain, but not too bad. Sofia brought up the cards in front of her, and looked back up. The bunnies were lined up in a semicircle from what she could see, so... "Ah, here we go," she said, motioning to pick up one that had a Boomerang on it. The card shattered as she did so, and she looked back up. "Scourge, you're up."
Sofia's bandaged companion didn't need to be told twice, as her bandages started to unfurl from her body, creating a ring around her feet. It didn't take long before it was a sizable amount, and Scourge kicked up the ring, which had already hardened into a smooth, sharp ring of razor-thin bandages. She picked it up with her arm, and swung it in a circle about her, while at the same time surveying the position of the bunnies to attempt to get the best angle of attack. Then, a third of the bandage ring vanished as she then launched it towards the bunnies, starting with the one to her right. The weaponized bandages would then swoop around the classroom, tearing up anything it came into contact with, while Scourge herself readied up to avoid any counterattacks from the disgruntled rabbits.

Still viewing the events on the net in something of a disassociated daze, Sofia assessed the situation and commanded her navi without really grasping what she was doing. The results, however, were decent enough considering that. After wrapping up the mystery data in a safety cocoon of bandages, Scourge lined up an ambitious array of targets with her attack. The bunnies seemed to recognise hostility when they saw it, and several began to dart around on their cabinet tops more rapidly, while others set their ears crackling.
The boomerang was released before the first bunny could launch its attack, and it was sliced into data a moment later. the second in line dived off the shelf, as the projectile whizzed by overhead, then launched a crackling ring back towards Scourge. It didn't seem to have a proper line of sight, though, and missed her completely. The boomerang arced around the outside of the room, cutting far more accurately through where the third bunny had been a moment ago, before it, too dodged off the desk and under a table. Not doing any dodging, the bandage-clad mystery data was perfectly in the arc needed to clean up the pest problem, though it escaped unharmed while the boomerang tore through its bandage protection letting its light glitter freely again.
The final pair of bunnies in line with the arc each launched shocking rings towards Scourge before the projectile got around to them, and despite her best efforts to avoid them, both rings managed to nail the unofficial pet-carer with a minor shock and a short stunning sensation that would limit her options for a little while. The boomerang itself cut cleanly through one bunny, but the subsequent hits on its earlier targets had made it more and more unstable as it travelled, and it didn't manage to connect with the last one, which plopped off the shelf and onto the ground after firing its attack. The other nifty feature about weapons like this is that they come back to their wielder, but after passing through a total of six targets it was a very unstable boomerang that winged its way back towards Scourge at the end. Catching it properly was out of the question, but she did manage to avoid getting hit by the thing at least. It blew past her and embedded itself in the front board with a thump.

"H-Hey, why can't I move?"
Sofia grunted slightly, as she tugged on her suddenly-frozen limbs. Stuck in front of the desk in a weird standing pose, she must have looked pretty silly to all the students. Well, except that the only student in attendance was the bandaged woman in front of her, so maybe it wasn't all that bad. Tingles of painful static ran through her arms and legs, like the few times she had fallen asleep on her arm. The feeling that you get when you wake up, and all the pins and needles are stabbing into your legs, so you can't stand up without feeling like an inverted porcupine. That sort of thing. Sofia looked at Scourge, and surprisingly saw that she was in the same position. She would have laughed, if she wasn't stuck.
"Whoa!" she exclaimed, as the bandage ring that had been thrown earlier whizzed past her. It grazed right through her arm, though strangely enough, it didn't look like it did anything. She didn't even feel any wind whoosh past by or anything, let alone the bandages themselves. That was good, though, at least she could worry about one less thing. Right then, the bunnies around her looked pretty threatening. If she got to move properly soon, she could probably swerve out of the way of some rings they would throw.
Actually, were rabbits supposed to throw rings like that? Maybe, Sofia told herself, they were some kind of mutant rabbits. Mutant rabbits that looked like they were made out of a slinky spring. She remembered an old videogame she had with rabbits. It was some kind of shooter game where you had to run around some bushes to find some rabbits to shoot with a shotgun. Maybe she could use one right that moment, even. Or maybe Scourge, since it looked like she could move now. Sofia nodded her head slightly, and the cards appeared again. Luckily, she did have a shotgun. Two of them, in fact, though one looked like it had a picture of a cornstalk on it. Maybe it was a special discount for farmers.
Two cards shattered in front of her, and Sofia turned to watch Scourge again. The woman's bandages on her arms began to unfurl once again, except this time, they stayed mostly on, whirling about her arms. Scourge leapt backwards slightly, putting her arms together in front of her and interlocking her fingers. The bandages quickly formed the twin barrels of a typical shotgun, which she aimed at one of the desks with one of the bunnies hiding under it. A deafening bang sounded through the area, and Sofia's vision started to blur. Then, Scourge switched her sights on the remaining two, and fired the other round. The world shook again with the rattling noise of the shotgun and its muzzle flash, and Sofia started to see some weird patterns on the desks. Something that looked like... flowers?

As Scourge was stuck, limbs frozen in shock, one of the bunnies took a shot at her. Smacking her with another electric ring from its spot under its desk. The new shock broke her out of her stasis. Though her arms and legs, after feeling returned to them, began to tingle again with the threat of lockup. But she would have enough time for some payback before she lost mobility again.
The other two bunnies chittered in laughing glee at Scourge's plight as she took up a stance to dodge, launching their own attacks from under their own desks. Unfortunately Scourge was still slow from regaining the use of her limbs again and was smacked by both of the incoming rings. In a little while she was going to have the worst case of stiffness.
However, her counterattack was just as effective. One of the desks was reduced to a pile of kindling by her shotgun blast, blowing the poor rabbit away. Then with another awesome display of power, flowers littered the spots where the other two bunnies were. There was nothing left of the two bunnies among the petals, except hard earned rewards. And, eventually, probably angry administrators wondering what happened to one of their desks. Do you know how much those things cost?
Oh yeah, and there was still a green glowing crystal on one of the desks. Like an apple for a teacher.

"Ooooh, my arms are all stiff now," mumbled Sofia, as she hovered over to the remains of the bunnies. The world around her was shifting in and out of focus, as she saw Scourge move up from beside her, and touch the crystal lamp on the shelf. The lamp then began to disintegrate in front of her, revealing...

It took a little while, but the lamp disintegrated into... a candle? Wow, either they were cutting corners in administration or something was really wrong. The candle disappeared in front of Sofia, however, as the world around her began to phase in and out. The pattern of flowers appeared in front of her again. She turned to Scourge, who was standing over the torn up bunnies. They had started to melt into a purple haze, which flew up into a small stream, and flowed directly into Scourge's metal screws on her shoulders. The bandages that wrapped about her body started to tighten and unwind in places, as a pair of black boots formed around her feet. Sofia was about to reach out to her, when her vision started failing entirely.
"Oh, it's morning already..." she mumbled, as she closed her eyes, and Scourge disappeared from her sight.
