Viral Tendencies

This is where Julius is.

GigaMan flashed down to the net of Yoka in a golden beam of light. Once it dispersed, he strethced his arms high above his head, shaking off the lovely nap he had been taking in the PET. "I do feel a little bit stronger... it's still not enough human. We have a long ways to go."

"Well so do the promises you made me GigaMan. We both have a lot of work to do, so let's get to it."

"Don't lose yourself in this new found excitment of yours. You are no boss to me. I fight the way I want."

"You're going to have to learn that, for us to truly get stronger... we will have to do it together." Julius said cautiously. "You don't like me, I don't like you... but we will have to put that to the side if we hope to become strong."

GigaMan was silent, as if the thoughts bounced around in his head. Then without responding, he began his search for fresh data.

((Requesting Battle 1, Shrimpy Bounty))
On the hunt for more targets to make himself stronger, GigaMan found himself in a secluded part of the Yoka net, along a rocky shoreline, with a low mist handing over everything. the ground was hard stone, with no proper beach, and the sea lapped slowly at the solid rock. The slope from the shore rose into hills fairly rapidly, and it didn't seem like an overly hospitable location. Certainly not somewhere you'd picnic. Occasional patches of steaming coals and pools of warm onsen made breaks in the rocky landscape, though presumably the tide never came up enough to ruin any of the ones he could see. Either that or they were spring fed. It was hard to tell. GigaMan probably didn't care.

More immediate, the shrimpy virus on the edge of the water just to his left, seemingly minding its own business and trawling for scraps along the coast. Further out to sea and ahead, a senbon bobbed and looked like it was beginning to pay closer attention to the new arrival. Up the hill on his right, the tell-tale spin of a whirly virus beginning to pay attention to the situation came from one of the secluded onsen pools, while a shelled virus rested directly ahead of him, just in front of along, low wall that crossed the shore from the sea tot he hills — it might have been a breaker at some stage, as it seemed to go down into the sea as well.

-=Battle 1 Ready? Start!! --
The hunt for Shrimpy seemed to provide GigaMan and Julius with much stronger opponents then they had faced in ACDC Net. The operator viewed the battlefield from his PET with glowing interest, wondering what capabilities the enemies possessed. The Navi, no longer in a rage like earlier, felt that It would be best to start the battle calm and cautiously. A thin transparent light gold bubble enveloped GigaMan, as he thought about his next move. "The Barrier has become stronger.... it still takes to much effort to summon though..."

"Where limited by the original GigaMan's capacity and growth, the stronger his body gets, the more I can tune and upgrade yall's abilities."

It was becoming routine for the possessed one to ignore Julius just after he responded, as was routine to start most battles out with the TwinFang Battlechip. This battle was no different. GigaMan rapped into the chips power, and fired off two fang like spikes towards his enemies. The first spike emitted a golden light as it flew towards the Senbon up ahead, while the other targeted the Shrimpy at close range looking to deal a crucial blow. In order to hopefully avoid a counter attack, GigaMan did a quick evasive roll to the north. He was not sure what style of attacks would come his way but he was as prepared as he could be at the moment.
————————————————————-
Summary
1. [GigaBarrier] - [HP Barrier] 40 HP Barrier. (40:40) = 40 points. ACC: S [1 TCD]
Generates a HP Barrier.
-Buff: +10 Dmg to TwinFang1, first fang.-
2. [chop=TwinFang1] +10 Dmg first fang, at Senbon, and Shrimpy.
3. Dodge.
The light flare of GigaMan activating his barrier was the first sign of obvious hostility, and the shell virus at the far end of the beach promptly shut itself up hard in response. By contest, the puffer-fish that was out in the waves launched a trio of sharp spines towards the intruder upon their beach, but GigaMan dodged nimbly out of the way — one clipped his barrier, but it barely scratched it.

His retaliation was directed against both the overly aggressive fish and the Shrimpy by the shore; the latter tried to crawl away from the fang shot, but got pierced badly all the same, while the Senbon was completely deflated by the spike that found it. Hurt badly, the Shrimpy virus did its best to scare GigaMan off with a bubble stream, but this too washed over his barrier without getting through. While this exchange took place, the Whirly, now risen up to its full, yet still unintimidating stature and water vortex, raced in an arc across the rocky beach side, aiming for GigaMan, but misjudging the angle and shooting past him by a wide margin. Lots of enthusiasm, very little control, it seemed, from that one.

"RageClaw1 slot in, download." Julius quickly chose what he thought would be the best decision for the current situation, sending GigaMan their multiuse slashing weapon. The navi's Claws glowed with a shower of golden light before appearing slightly more sharper then before. With immense evil intent he swung his left claw towards the shrimp like enemy, wanting by to slice it in half with his new found weapon before it could fire off another bubble blast.

While his Barrier held strong, GigaMan focused more on offense as he rushed the Whirly that was just his left. One of his claws sprang forward, in a straight path, once again glowing gold as he looked to impale the water twisting crab. He attacked with his remaing claw hoping to finish the job had the first attempt made contact. The attack came from his left, and if it hit, it would rip into the virus's red shell tearing its digital insides to pieces, leaving nothing but junk data remains upon the enemies deletion.

As GigaMan sought to make the most of his protective shell and strike quickly, the shelled virus at the back opened up and launched a pair of sharp, bone-like spears at him. One of them managed to clip his barrier, damaging it further, before GigaMan caught up to his prey and slashed the Shrimpy virus into pieces before it could scuttle clear.

As he turned his attention, the whirly virus came arcing back towards him, and collided with the navi just as he turned to face it. His barrier gave way, but GigaMan didn't falter and instead managed to get in a pair of rending blows before the crab virus could get away from him again. This left just the clam-shelled virus at the back, for now, though it had shuddered faintly at the scene of carnage and seemed like it was about to close up again.

"DashAttack1, slot in, download." Julius continued his strategic selection of chips. The two were proving that together they were some what of a good team, as GigaMan feinted in the direction of the exposed ShellGeek so he could gaurentee the attack would carry him the length between them. Once he was closer, a translucent gold light that mimicked the shape of a Fishy virus surrounded the Navi's body, then he launched himself towards the enemy. His mind was clear of anything else around him, the only thing that grabbed his focus was the deletion of his unlucky foe. If the attack connected, the light, and his body would pierce through the ShellGeek ultimatly bringing it down.

If the DashAttack happened to miss, He would try to slash at the enemy before it hid behind its defense one more time. The attack would come from behind as surely the first attack would have carried him passed the target had it not ended the battle.

As GigaMan pushed on in silence along the rocky and mostly barren shoreline, two small steaming pools of Onsen that looked more even and symmetrical than usual came into sight just ahead. They were surrounded by rings of hot coals, and appeared to each have a brass tea kettle nestled in each. Just behind this sight, quite close, a green glowing data crystal poked up from the rock, and another Shrimpy virus swam closer to him from the sea on his left. Closer, swarms of tiny biting insects buzzed around, beginning to hone in on GigaMan as a possible source of sustenance.

KettleKettle (Kettle)

Kettle do not attack unless and until they are attacked. This behavior does not count as a Counter or a Trap. It's simply what they do. Moving and dodging require actions, while retaliating against attacks does not. All Kettle have passive Regen. When this virus is attacked with non-Fire Damage below its max HP, it will boil over to attack nearby enemies with Aqua Damage equal to the damage taken. This effect does not damage allies. If the damage is greater than or equal to its current HP, the virus is also deleted after the counter attack. If not, the Kettle will regenerate a portion of its HP and continue on as normal. When this virus is attacked with Fire Damage, it will boil over to attack nearby allies dealing exactly its max HP in Aqua Damage. This effect will not damage enemies. The virus is automatically deleted after boiling over in this case.

GigaMan quickly fired off blast of energy from his left hand cannon, towards the swarm farthest from him. If the golden light managed to connect it would explode in the immediate area damaging anything else around it, and deleting the Skeeter. Sensing that danger was near, GigaMan did a rolling dodge forward hoping to shake off any incoming attacks, and close the distance between him and the Onsen pool to his left.

Julius peaked the distance through the Pet, and felt they Giga's dodge would have taken him close enough for the next attack. "FireBurner1, slot in. Download."

GigaMan felt the fiery energy start to swell inside him. His insides felt warmer, as if he had taken a bite of curry. The heat wouldn't reside until he held his right cannon out straight in front of him, firing of a blazing stream of fire. The flame stretched out far, in a straight line looking to damage the pot like enemy that he targeted. "Yall defy me, but it will always end the same!" GigaMan challenged his enemies to continue their attacks, and looked to continue the battle with a head full of steam.

With the quaint sight before him, GigaMan was quick to take to arms and begin the destruction. The nearby swarm of bugs moved in to begin harassing him as he lined up his first shot, but focused as he was, it was easy enough for GigaMan to shift himself out of their stinging, biting path for now. His blast engulfed the second swarm before they could close in on him, singing the insects from the net like an exceptionally efficient bug-zapper.

His next attack was aimed at the stationary kettle on his left, which immediately boiled over at the application of even a little fire. The explosive force of steam blistered the battlefield, though in the first moments, GigaMan might notice that it was more the other viruses than himself being subject to the blast. This changed a moment later as the kettle beside the one he'd attack also began to boil fiercely, agitated by the first. This blast wave did scald him, and painfully so, but by the time he cleared his vision and shook off the pain, he remained as the only thing left on this stretch of Yoka. The other viruses had been decimated, leaving only crumbling data remains now, and there seemed to be little left for GigaMan in this aftermath.

Without asking, Julius logged GigaMan out, and immidatley logged him back in. Causing him to vanish in a golden light, only to return elsewhere in the early portion of Yoka's net world. The fast trip back to the PET left GigaMan feeling rejuvinated, even if he wasn't a fan of the Operator doing things without his permission. "You're lucky I was about to tell you to do that, or I would be angry." GigaMan barked, lying.

"If you say so." Julius laughed ignoring the viral Navi's statement, "Keep moving forward, let's try not to miss out on another mystery data. Those are hard to come by."

GigaMan didn't respond, but did in fact continue searching the landscape for another battle.

((Requesting Battle 1))
GigaMan splashed down in a sea of Onsen. There was a patch of actual Sea surrounded by Coal to his south. Floating in it was a WindBox, blowing from South to North. A Nautilus shell, with a barrier formed by the Onsen surrounding it, was in the North. A giant angry barbell was in the East. And two sea creatures, a puffer fish and a jumbo shrimp, were swimming towards him from the West.

WindBoxWindBox (Wind & Fan)

All viruses in this family are immobile during combat, with the exception of being able to turn to face any direction it wishes. Later versions of this virus may switch between Wind and Fan effects, which requires one action, during which time all wind or fan effects cease. Bonuses and penalties do not stack if multiples of the same virus family exist on the field. Wind and Fan do not push or pull Objects, only creatures.

Area: SciLab, Yoka, Beach, Sharo, Netfrica, Hades Isle

HP: 100
Attack Damage/Effect: Wind Effect, Northwind
Attack Accuracy: S
Attack Description: Causes a large scale gale of wind to blow across the entire field in the direction the virus is facing. This gale will constantly move all targets this virus considers to be enemies in the direction the wind is blowing, which makes it difficult to land many kinds of attacks on it and allied viruses, such as thrown attacks and close ranged attacks. All those affected by the wind will also have their barriers and auras blown off by a constant Northwind effect.
Element: None
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): Wind, Zenny
Special: Causes short ranged attacks, such as (but not limited to) swords, melee attacks, and flame thrower style weapons, to suffer from a 30% accuracy penalty against targets they are being pushed away from. Both sides of the engagement suffer a 30% accuracy penalty with direct attacks perpendicular to the direction of the wind, and all thrown attacks.
Special: Those allied with this virus may opt to take advantage of the wind to increase movement speed or evasion by going with the wind. They do not suffer any penalties, however. Conversely, anyone may move along with the wind to increase accuracy by 10% for close ranged attacks, assuming the target is in that direction.
Special: Northwind effect to all enemies once per virus action while maintaining wind effect.

HeavyHeavy (Heavy)

Heavy viruses move slowly, and only dodge when they attack. When a Heavy attacks, it teleports to a position to the left or right of the intended target, and proceeds to try to ram the target with a quick sideways motion. The number of times it will consecutively attempt to ram the target before teleporting back to its starting position depends entirely on the number of actions the virus has. Teleporting before and after the attack do not require an action. Movement and attacking are one and the same to this virus, thus even a non-attack collision with it is damaging.

-- Battle 1 Ready? Start!! --
GigaMan could feel the force of the powerful wind created by the WindBox up ahead. He knew that fighting under that condition would severely limit his performance. "Human, give me something that I can fire at that wind machine." He motioned with his claw, and Julius obeyed. Sending the MachineGun trip they had won a few battles back. GigaMan's claws stuck pointed skyward as he held his right hand palm forward towards the annoying contraption. He focused for just a moment before firing off nine rapid back to back bullets from his palm. The Navi hoped that the bullets would be fast enough to cut through the air, and find the target enough to delete it.

Julius didn't stop with the chips, because he also slotted in one of their EnergyBombs. GigaMan scanned the field for possible incoming attacks, and did a smooth hop to his left wishing it to be enough to keep him safe. Once his feet hit the ground, he pointed his opposite cannon skyward and launched the bomb. It arched upwards, until it peaked and rained back down from above. The glowing weapon of explosion fell towards the ground between the puffer fish, and the Shrimp, unless his aim was off, or the WindBox was still around blowing in that direction to foil his plans, he had hoped to take a chunk out the enemy forces.

Dropped into a wide onsen ocean, GigaMan focused first on trying to cut down the extraneous weather effects plaguing his combat efficiency. Ignoring the Shrimpy scuttling towards him through the restorative waters, he unloaded the machine spray of fire at the bobbing Windbox, with enough of the shots peppering it to render it functionless and allowing the winds to die down. A sharp ricochet ping sound drew an odd hissing sound from the Puffy, across the waters, as an errant shot winged it.

A moment later GigaMan moved himself quickly away from the Shrimpy's bubble stream, but just as he avoided this attack, the water beneath him burst up in a very rapid geyser of warm water. at this force, it was, sadly, no so healing and GigaMan found his senses thoroughly flushed for a brief moment. After he steadied himself, his next energy attack was launched westward, raining down over the Puffy virus — the Shrimpy had since vacated the area, and given the particularly small blast range of his attack, it was fortunate he only had one target to try to hit at this juncture. As it was, tow of the three clusters exploded on the inflated virus, and it burst with a screech.

Once more, it was just as Giga surveyed his successful work, that another impact blind-sided him, sending his vision dancing as the heavy swung across the surface of the onsen ad collided with him, before warping back to its original position. Healing waters or not, the viruses weren't making his work as easy as the brash interloper probably wanted.

Julius was quick to follow up with some more support as GigaMan took same damage. The Navi was showered in a golden light as he activated the Recover30, erasing the limited amount of pain he had felt. As much as he wanted to argue... the speed at which Julius was getting the hang of Virus Busting, and operating as a whole was great, and in the end could only help him get stronger. The Navi frowned harshly behind his mask where no one could see. Even though he would somewhat acknowledge the human to himself, he would not bring himself to display such petty and useless attachment. Julius was a tool, and nothing more.

Yet to replenish the chips he had been sent, GigaMan chose to target the bubble covered Nautilus. Then, with a.dash of speed so quick he cheered the virus. The golden translucent image of a Fishy virus surrounded his body, as he powered up the attack with his special ability. His goal was to break through the virus' aura and delete it with the force of his attack. Afterwards he would need to focus on defense again, and look to dodge to his left if his enemies decided to close in.

After taking a quick heal from his sort-of operator, GigaMan charge dup an attack to made a solid dash at the Nautilus virus before it could attack him again. As he did, the Heavy warped once more, making another pass at him, but it swung through the empty space where he had been, as Giga shot forward and connected, destroying the shelled virus with a single, brutal strike. The Shrimpy continued to scuttle around him, seeking a blind spot, but even as it blew its bubble stream towards him, the navi ducked to the side. Between the healing chip and the way the warm onsen waters soothed him, GigaMan was back to full strength now, with two viruses left to deal with.

-=Viruses=-
WindBoxWindBox (Wind & Fan)

Special: Generates a 10 HP Aqua elemental barrier every turn as a free action. Elec attacks instantly break this barrier and deal full damage.
Special: Sea Terrain Accuracy Boost: If this viruses attacks while on or in Sea or Onsen terrain, the attack's accuracy is raised by 2 stages.

Area: Yoka, Kotobuki Town, Netfrica, Netopia

HP: 75
Attack Damage/Effect: 15 Null + Line Attack + Impact + Break

The Heavy teleported back to where it had started, so GigaMan looked to bring the enemy down when he activated his next chip. A fang like projectile was locked and loaded into each of his hand cannons. The one in his right glowed with the familiar golden light that meant it was being powered up his ability. That fang flew across the field, heading straight for the Heavy virus. The second fang wasn't as powerful, but it targeted the Shrimpy, and would deal a significant amount of damage unless it missed.

He jumped forward to his right just a little bit, hoping to dodge in case the dumbbell was able to survive and it attempted to slam into him again, that or the bottom feeder fired off another bubble blast. After his swift dodge, he gathered his footing, and fired the final chip that had been sent to him. The shotgun blast fired from his right palm, and in an instant would either blow by, or pierce into the Shrimpy, with the chance of bringing their duel to an end.

: 50 + Spread 1 (Acc: A) at Shrimpy.
With just two targets left, GigaMan took aim and fired quickly. One fang pierced the Heavy virus before it could have another go at him, while the second spiralled back to hit the Shrimpy even as it thought it had a good angle to attack from. It reeled as the attack hit, then blew more bubbles at GigaMan in defiance, but the navi was already dodging out of the way. The Shrimpy tried to scuttle for cover, but his follow up shotgun blast finished it off and left the field clear of enemies.
