Dog Training

Trent appeared on the Yoka nets calmly looking around him as he inspected the area. He had arrived around water, in a hot spring style of area. Amusing choice for a training session for Sasha he thought. He turned around to look for Sasha, who had yet to appear on the nets. He stood arms crossed from a second, curious as to what held the dog up. His answer wasn't far off when the dog appeared in the nets, but appeared in the middle of running, his momentum carrying over from the run into the portal.

Sasha lost of footing on the rocks and promptly fell on his face. Not to let the moment be recorded by many, Sasha jumped back to his feet and let loose several deep barks at the rocks below him. Trent chuckled at the sight of it, but quickly grew serious. Sasha observed the body language of Trent, and copied the action, dipping his head low and staying alert.

"Why did you choose this place again?" Trent asked of Mark.

"Well, we have never been here before, so there are viruses and chips here we don't know about. Also, I enjoyed the image of the two of you training in a hot spring. It looked very cinematic in my head. It'll be a good first outing for Sasha too. Once the training in done, the two of you can hit the springs."

"Sasha," Trent spoke addressing his dog in a whisper. "We need establish hand signals and commands." Sasha turned his head to the side, perking his ears. He was listening. Trent starting running through some basic commands he knew from his background. Motions for hold, go, be alert, enemies over there. Then he made a quick run through basic dog hand signs. Come, sit, stay, relax, and be on guard. "Verbal commands will come second," Trent decided wanting Sasha to watch his commands and pay attention to him as much as possible in the first few stages.

"I will start looking up some basic commands in other languages. The more you can conceal in your commands the better," Mark stated, bringing up an internet browser. Trent stood up straight and motioned to Sasha, 'pay attention to me'.

{Ready for Battle 1}
Choosing the Yoka area to train his dog, Trent made headway into the network, searching for viruses to spar with and train his strength against. He was walking across a rather narrow wooden walkway that crossed a large body of water, when he found some viruses. They were in the form of a few strange white translucent blobs, floating about in a lethargic manner. Stubs that looked like arms dragged a pillow behind them, and a sleeping cap covered their top half. They seemed to notice Trent and Sasha after a bit, and lulled towards them, swinging their pillows at the ready.

Trent didn't know what the incoming viruses ere capable of, but knew he wasn't overly impressed with the strength of them, according to their health values. His shoulders sank in disappointment, turning to Mark and repeating, "Why are we here again?" He turned his head to Sasha, who had his shoulder down, his teeth bared, and his weight shifted to his back legs, to spring on the viruses when they meandered too close for comfort.

Trent smiled at his, in an amused 'oh isn't he cute' fashion. "You see why?" Mark's voice rang in his ears, breaking his momentary focus on Sasha. He refused to answer. Trent whistled loudly, causing Sasha's eyes to shift towards his master. With a simple gesture Sasha stepped backwards and relaxed slightly as Trent withdrew his knives. It was as though Sasha understood, Trent had this one handled.

"Although the enemies appear easy, we do not know what they do. Be cautious all the same. I want to try out a few of our new chips here, going to slot in one I think you'll like thoroughly. Use the other two first though." Mark nimbly slotted in three chips in rapid secession. He was very curious to see the results of the final chip given, knowing Trent would be able to put the weapon to great use.

Trent lined himself up on the narrow walkway before the viruses and sorted through the first two chips given. Those two alone could kill off the enemy lines, why would he want to do that when he also was very much wanting to get his hands on that third chip, the widesword. Oh the potential! The possibilities of swiping across many many enemies with a might arc. Trent happily discarded the orders from Mark, partly to use the blade, but mostly to enforce the idea to Sasha, that Trent calls the shots.

However, not fully did Trent disobey. He uploaded the woodtower chip and prepared it for combat. Sasha turned his head curiously, keeping his general weight on his back legs to be able to dodge from combat if it was required of him. He barked loudly at the viruses as Trent advanced. Trent swept one hand to his side and in the same fluid motion released the blade that was being held there. The blade had been modified and altered by the presence of the woodtower chip imbuing it. The blade's tip struck the ground of the walkway, causing a chain reaction as the impact point grew wider and wider on the small walkway.

A wave of spikes rolled across the walkway from the blade. Trent wasted no time in dropping his other hand and activating the widesword chip. A large blue energy blade extended over the steel of his knife, illuminating the area. Mark wasn't overly shocked by the fact, knowing Trent still wasn't his biggest fan. At least he halfway listened, and at least Mark would get to see more out of the chip. "Lets see what you got here."

Trent followed step behind his spikes, the widesword leading the charge at his side. His mind was aware of every action around him, the beating of feet on the ground and the beating of his heart, which was racing from the thrill of the attack. Things seemed to move in slow motion as he moved closer. Trent let an eager smile make it's way over his normally stoic face as his actions move him within slashing distance. He shoved the blade out to his right side, locking his elbow as he brought his massive arm in a swing. Blue energy trails bathed his body as he swung.

He carried through on the momentum of the swing and whipped his arm above his head. He watched the viruses movements, trying to determine the best attempt to bring it crashing down unto the enemies, once more invading their lines. Once the opportunity was there, he let his arms hammer down, another blue trail of light following him as he went.

Trent didn't want to waste the other chip given to him, and did want to ensure the quick deletion of these viruses. He uploaded the last chip Mark gave him, having eventually used all the chips, and took a sliding step backwards. With the data infused with his core for the time being, he took his hand and drew it back, preparing to smash the ground with his augmented fist. With a mighty crash his hand smashed the net paths, sending a vicious energy wave towards the viruses.

"The narrow walkway should hurt them greatly here, seeing as it forced them to group up. Sasha just keep on your toes, we want to be cautious fight now."

"Woof!"

4) Wavearm1 to Snoozy A, B, C (80+ Piercing + Ground Attack + Chain 3 + B Accuracy)
{Bump}
Trent wasted little time in pulling off a WoodTower strike, and proved to have all the precision of a lumberjack, as the spears of wood managed to miss not one, not two, but every single enemy. He drew near the viruses to prepare a powerful blade attack, but one of the Snoozy showed odd speed as it instantly got in front of the Navi, and whacked him with his pillow. Or tried to, but it was about as accurate as one would expect of something with no visable sensory features.

The WideSword proved as great as advertised, as it cut two of the Snoozy in two, causing precisely pure 25% agony as they disintegrated into baser data. The third, however, managed to teleport to the SP, and delivered another pillow strike...which went as well as the other virus's attack. The second blade attack made sure the battle didn't continue unnecessarily.

Trent stood upright and balanced on the walkway while Sasha barked in victory at the deletion of the viruses. He put his nose to the ground around the deletion point of the snoozy viruses and began to search for something. Around each deletion point he found, barked at, and ate three chunks of data. Trent watched in amusement, understanding what the SP was doing; however Mark wasn't so calm about the the matter. "What is he doing eating the left over corpses of viruses?" Mark questioned with a sense of shock in his voice.

"Those are his upgrades."

Mark was even more blown away by this. He has to eat dead viruses to get stronger? How disturbing.

Trent went to gather his own remaining data. He scooped the zenny up and sent it to Mark. It was a small amount but small risks meant small rewards right now. Trent's eyes looked to Sasha, who was finishing up, and couldn't wait until a larger amount of bug frags were collected.

Trent snapped his fingers the sound causing Sasha to focus on him. Trent gave another hand signal to follow. The large dog bent down one last time to scoop up some data and then took bounding steps after the already moving Navi.

{Battle 2 Please}
If Mark thought that eating watery marshmallows was weird, imagine what he'd think if he saw Sasha eat clearly inorganic viruses. And that's exactly what would happen if Trent defeated the tea pots and puppets in front of him. They didn't seem very accomodating to that, by the way.

The pair entered the sea panels with Sasha splashing around gleefully in the knee deep water. The chest and face of the dog was soon covered in water from his slashing. Trent snapped his fingers to summon the dogs attention, giving him a calming hand gesture. The facial expression of Trent was one of slight joy, who would have thought, as he watched the dog play. His combat orientated mind couldn't allow the dog to keep playing, even if the actions were fun to behold. Sasha shook off the water from his coat and barked at Trent before bounding up to his side.

Trent's feet hovered just above the layer of water, due to his floatshoes. The gap between the water was several inches. He turned his attentions back before him, and withdrew a knife to keep his guards up. Sasha would have most likely gained some attention in his playful display. Sasha, now on guard as well, kept his head low and his actions precise, mechanically putting one foot before the other.

"Seems I will need to get to work on building a better homepage area for you and Sasha. The current one is, not only bland in design, but mostly non existent," Mark said enjoying Sasha as well. Mark hoped the personality of Sasha would loosen Trent up in no combat situations slightly. Even just enough to talk more with him would be great.

The PET flashed as enemies were sighted and indeed alerted from Sasha. "Trent, viruses near to you." Mark's virtual display rotated to the area to see. Trent and Sasha soon found the enemies as well, each one settled on the wide open sea panels that the warrior had found himself on. He shot a glance back to Sasha, who felt ashamed from his actions. Turning back to the viruses however, Trent noticed that none of them were familiar, again. "What can you give me on these things?" Trent asked Mark.

Mark did quick research and found brief information from the general sites. "The kettles are fire element viruses and the weathers use an ice attack. Sasha will probably be vulnerable to that if we don't try to attack those first. We don't want him to be frozen still in the panels. Since everything is on the sea panels, I will send a personal favorite of yours." Mark slotted in the elecknife for Trent to use. "Also, use these." He slotted in both of the zaprings.

Trent Gazed down at Sasha, who was back to being in full guard pose, teeth exposed and eyes narrowed. A vicious low growl emitted from the dog. Trent gave him a signal to step back. The dog kept his attitude but happily obligated and moved backwards. It wasn't because he wasn't itching to fight however, but because Trent instructed him to.

Trent turned his attention back to the viruses. He let his hand hover over the grip of his pistol, fingers twitching as he eyed the two unusual weather viruses.

"You should probably start with the inner one then get in there for the elecknife," Mark suggested.

Trent was already working on that plan, his hand flashing to his side and withdrawing the pistol. It had been enhanced with the zap ring, and flashed yellow as it awaited to be fired. Two metal sights locked onto the weather, the tiny green dot on the sights sitting in the middle of the weathers form. Trent pulled the trigger allowing a large bolt of energy to fly from the barrel. Trent wasted no time in uploading his next chip. The elecknife was in his hand in a hurry, the pistol returned to the holster.

He ran forwards, charging the lines of the kettles, making them his first target. As he moved water splashed up behind him as though he were traveling through it. Trent had one open hand, and his knife hand was being held in a forwards grip position. Once he had fully approached the virus, he threw out a feint with his free hand, before thrusting with knife in a fluid motion. The chip was arching electricity from the blade and connecting with the sensitive panels below. Trent twisted the knife once before withdrawing it and rushing to the next kettle.

He once again led with an open palm, this time ignoring the feint strategy from last attack. Instead he reached his large hand forwards, swiping in a powerful pass and tried to grip the kettle to pull it inwards. His forward foot was the same as his leading hand, and a single dramatic motion he pulled his foot up and around, to pin the target, while his back hand followed through in a powerful overhead stab. He didn't let himself stay still, and quickly recovered from he move and slid backwards.

Sasha barked and growled at the enemies, maybe attempting to disrupt the concentration of the enemies with his loud barks. Mark smiled and laughed at this fact, enjoying the dog very much. He smiled at Trent's own choice, before looking back to the fight.

Trent pulled out the pistol once more and loaded the final chip into it. Although it was the same chip as the first attack, the strength of it in this watery environment couldn't be denied. The yellow pistol leveled, green dot focused, and the shot fired. As the bolt passed over the surface of the water, arches of electricity trailed behind, the water strengthening the shot. Trent took a sliding step back, his feet not touching the water while doing so.

After Sasha went into full guard mode after splashing around and doing doggy things, Trent went into battle mode, electrifying one of the Weather to deletion as soon as he loaded the ZapRing into his pistol. Then, with some fancy footwork, he dashed over to the Kettles, and swiped a couple of times at them. The first hit connected, but the other missed, as the Kettle moved out of the knife's way. However, before the first was deleted, it began to puff up, and suddenly released a large cloud of searing steam! Fortunately, Trent managed to get the hell out of dodge before it had any chance of getting near him. Another bolt found its way towards the second Weather, but it had unfortunately risen up into the air, and disappeared into a portal!

Sasha's ear perked and he barked loudly as the weather started to disappear into the portal. Sasha ran up under the portal and started to bark loudly into it. Sasha wanted to be part of the battle in someway, and thus decided to play spotter for the time being for Trent. Trent turned his head towards Sasha, his eye line quickly darting to where he was looking. Trent very quickly got the idea. Even Mark was on the ball with this one, slotting in the kunai chip for Trent to use. Trent took some steps towards the portal, and withdrew the three kunai from his belt loop.

"Where ever that portal lets out, the Weather will be there. Send some attacks his way and then go after the kettle," Mark added just to vocalize the attack plan. Sasha gave a happy bark of approval, for he had helped! He happily bound back over to a safer location, zig-zaging along the way just in case he was the target of a few attacks.

Trent lined up his first knife into the center of the portal, and threw one dagger right in. He followed this attack pattern up with the second and third ones, each one being thrown right at the portal. His hope was that it wouldn't close and that the knives would be transported to exactly where the portal let out. He scanned the area for the weather, hoping to see it reappear, only to be stabbed in rapid succession in the process of doing so. The mental image of this made him smirk. Now he was thinking with portals.

Trent turned his form back to the kettle, elecknife being held in a forwards grip in his right hand. He lowered his head, creating a sinister silhouette as he descended upon the little kettle. His left hand snapped out before him, reaching and grasping for the kettle to draw it unto the powerful knife. He slammed the elecknife forwards, with electricity jumping from the blade to the panels around the enemy, in a powerful arc.

Trent only assumed he had stabbed the kettle straight and true this time, but had no real time to see if the damage had connected, as the location of the weather was far more important to his initial plan. He really wanted to see the results of his attack. He rolled to the side, to avoid a counter attack from the kettle, and kept scanning. The original portal still stood, and his eyes constantly shot back to it to in sure there was no return from there. He withdrew his pistol. Locked arms and shoulders scanned the area, pistol at the ready. His eyes looked down the sights as his body turned.

The area was silent other than the whirl of the portal and the occasional bark from Sasha. Gentle sounds of water being moved by the warriors feet also filled the space. Trent spoke silently to Mark, "Send me the machinegun." Mark slotted in the weapon and also waited in silence. He too had a visual in his head of the weather appearing once again, only to be greeted by a hail of bullets and three knives to the back.

Trent uploaded the machinegun chip to his pistol, the barrel changing in the process to a multi-barreled tip. He waited and scanned the area for the arrival of the weather.

Trent quickly flung a trio of knives at the Weather's portal, but as they approached it, they were mysteriously rejected by an unseen force. That...probably wasn't going to work. He then dragged the Kettle over and struck it with an electrified knife. This got the virus boiling, however, and scalding hot water burst from it as it faded from existence. Luckily for the Navi, he managed to sidestep it thanks to his immense talents with blades. Unluckily for his dog, however, it was unable to avoid the heated water, and found itself being forced to withdraw from the fight.

The Weather picked that time to pop in near the SP-less Navi, and breathed out electricity at him, but its aim was poor, and all that was left of the attack was a few cracked panels. It then faced the undoubted fury of MachineGun, which did its job well enough to end the battle.

Trent finished off the last of the viruses, and lowered his pistol to his side, his eyes drifting over to where Sasha had last stood. Mark was frantically grabbing for the PET to check the status of the dog. While Trent was walking over to the last location of his Dog, he held the grip of his knife by his side, his head lowered. Two large boots stopped side by side, virtual dust kicking up around his feet. He never moved his eyes from the location and his hand never loosened on the grip.

Mark pulled up the data of the SP, gathering read outs on it as quickly as possible. The entire data screen for the SP was flashing red showing an EJO state. The screen stopped flashing and hologram changed to show Sasha laying down in the homepage base on the PET. Mark let out a sigh of relief upon seeing this, ready to quickly tell Trent. Before he could turn to tell him a window popped up, giving information about how long Sasha would be out of battle. It wouldn't be long overall, but it was too long for Trent.

"Trent. Sasha is fine. He's resting in the homepage of the PET. He will be back he just needs to rest. According to the readouts, he just needs some more data to be collected. We have to finish off some more viruses."

Trent's head shot up in a moment as his eyes scanned the netways. His feet lit up by the green and blue under him, he quickly ran off towards where he thought an entrance to the Netsquare was, scanning far to his left and right to find viruses for Sasha. He gathered the remaining data in haste, sending it to the PET. During all of this, Trent said nothing. His hand held the knife still, and his eyes were narrowed. He held his shoulder in a manner which made him look very imposing to the outside. He was determined.

Mark had never seen him react like this. This was the first true instant of one of his personality traits showing through. He knew what he had to do, and was setting out to do it. Regardless of the recent events. Sasha would be back to him soon at this rate.

{Battle 3 Please}
Traumatized by the sudden loss of his newfound companion, Trent nevertheless powered on through the network, preparing for Sasha's return. His walk brought him near a small pool of water, where a swarm of insects were gathered. Two of them were Elebees, and the others were a quartet of mosquito-like Skeeter. Their buzzing made it clear that they were very happy to see him. Very, very happy.

Trent was also very thrilled to have found the bug like viruses. He kept his knife tight in hand he eyes locked onto the enemies already. He starts walking straight for the group, his pace remaining steady. Heavy black boots collided with the net floors with great impact, loud stomps echoing throughout the net. "Machinegun." Trent barked at Mark. Mark slotted in the chip as quickly as possible and prepared himself to be the armory in the sky once more, as Trent was quite clearly on a rampage. Mark took the liberty upon himself to slot in other chips for Trent to use, including his new favorite chip the widesword.

"Trent, don't be stupid in your decision making for the fight. Keep calm and think about which chips and attacks would be best to handle these groups quickly and effectively. I understand you are working to return Sasha quickly, but you can't risk yourself in these efforts. Stay focused!"

Trent barely heard what Mark had said. Some of it had processed, but most went in one ear and out the other. His hand snapped to his side and pulled the pistol, the barrel already modified by the machinegun chip. Each barrel was on a rotation platform, and Trent leveled the sights of his pistol to the Skeeter group. He pulled the trigger of the pistol in bursts, sending shots down the lane towards the group. Only a few of the bullets had to collide with each virus, the health of them being very low. His form and presence was powerful as he fired. His large form holding its pace, knife in one hand, gun in the other. His face remained stoic and cold as he fired.

The pistol was discarded once the barrels clicked empty. It was discarded quickly, its use to the rapid deletion of these viruses now having been expelled. His passion for the necessary data had not died yet. After the shots were fired he started his running assault, sending his large form forwards to the targets like a truck. His hand dropped to his side and grabbed another one of the chips that Mark had sent. It was nearly dumb luck that this had been sent, and Trent had enough sense left to use something tactical. The boomerang chip was produced in the form of a contorted knife. He pulled his arm back, taking as best aim on the quick moving elebee viruses. He let the knife fly free, his arm taking a broad arc as did the boomerang chip flying from his hand.

Finally, Trent uploaded the chip and tactics he had been wanting to use. He had reached the enemy lines. Withdrawing from his side a strange shaped knife to begin his starting assault. He took several more large steps, each foot pounding unto the netways, before launching his body at the elecbees, knife first. Landing on the ball of his foot, the chips kicked in spinning his form around quickly and dangerously amongst the elecbees ranks. After several chip powered spins, he tossed the generated knife to the side sticking the tip in the net ways before the knifes disappearance.

"Trent, focus on what you are actually doing here. Try to take careful consideration on when to attack, what to attack, and when to defend. You're not being a very skillful fighter right now, but more of a brute. No finesse," Mark said to Trent, trying to get the level of focus from the warriors passionate killings.

Trent hadn't heard yet. More of the words Mark was saying were starting to reach him, but few took a strong hold. He withdrew another chip slotted in by Mark, the widesword. This was indeed one of Trent's new favorite chips. The long blue energy from the chip was radiating from his default knife, the blue glow bathing him in a distinct light. He turned on his heel, his body twisting over towards the skeeter group. He pulled the widesword chip across his body in a strong horizontal strike, trails of the energy dripping from the blade. Trent took advantage of the moment of panic that would be caused in the virus ranks, and rolled off to the side to avoid damage. His hand was gripping the sword hilt, already ready for round two.

Mark covered his face with his hand and watched.

As the insects plotted how to best destroy their newfound prey, Trent began shooting up the ranks with a rapid fire gun. One of the Skeeter was completely and utterly decimated by it, each individual mosquito making up the virus being peppered with bullet spray. A stray shot also managed to hit another one, causing it to vanish. Not happy with the development, a third Skeeter launched itself at the Navi, draining him of bodily fluids before returning to its original position (30). Undeterred, he launched a Boomerang at the Elebee, which managed to catch one off guard, but the other flew out of its range...only to be sliced up by MoonBlade.

Down to a pair of Skeeters, Trent launched a wide-ranged blade attack on them, but they were simply too far apart to hit both. At least he shredded one of them in the process. The other, while now much less gungho about destroying the Navi, mustered its courage up enough to ram into him, avenging its comrades about as well as it was going to (30).

Trent lowered his head and scowled at the remaining virus. One had managed to get past his onslaught. He turned his giant form to the creature, knife at the ready. His mind didn't register the damage done during the viruses attacks, but his body surely did. Mark grabbed another chip for Trent to use, the eleknife chip, just to ensure the deletion of the virus. Mark wasn't even sure if Trent would use it on this one though. "Trent, you have been taking damage here, you should really consider taking a bit of time between assaults to make sure when you get Sasha back you aren't in a heap of trouble yourself."

Trent, once again, didn't register the comment. His mind was locked on focused on the fight, and getting his dog back as soon as he could. He brought the SP out to train, and due to his failed ability to protect it, it had been jacked out. Unacceptable. He never was good at taking care of other soldiers on the field, but this time it was personal. Sasha couldn't take care of himself. The others that he had left to their own biddings were different.

"Trent, if you are going to play this way, at least be smart about it," Mark heeded.

Trent was already upon the skeeter, his wide sword in hand. The extra range on the blade wasn't needed, but the damage output of it was. Trent took one last step and brought the blade down in an overhead strike. Trent voluntarily dismissed the blade from his hand to keep his fight going. He withdrew his tactical grip knife, with the brass knuckle handle, and the figner ring blade from their holsters. Each knife seems to radiate the same passion for the self assigned mission at hand as Trent did. With each blade in the proper hands, he threw the rest of his assault into play.

Opening with a swift punch from the knife hand, he followed through with a jousting jab to the back of the insect virus. The combo of the punch and stab was meant to throw the target off guard while he deliver the stunning blow to the back. Trent dropped to the side and rolled under the bug, trying to dodge out of its sights and out of its range.

Trent wasn't finished with this yet. Upon rising to his feet his hand grasped for the bug, which seems tiny compared to the mitt that Trent sent after him. He jerked his hand inwards, hoping to pull the target closer to him to ensure the delivery of the next attack. Trent brought his saber grip knife forwards in an upwards thrust, the execution move trying to slip under the torso of the frail bug. He threw the bug backwards, kicking at it to send it further away. Dropping into a dodging roll, he followed the same direction that he had just sent the enemy.

His final attack on the over-kill assault was here. In one last dramatic assault he ran towards the bug once getting his footing. An upwards slash from his right hand was the last thing Trent intended to do to the poor bug. If it survived the overkill, it was truly a lucky lucky bug. He hopped and skipped backwards from the target, zig-zaging slightly to avoid the direct attack type of the enemy if it returned the attack.

Mark did nothing but stare in both disgust and awe as Trent send the wave of attacks at the low HP virus. He wasn't sure if this was a face palm moment, or a simple silent appreciation for the determination of this Navi. He decided to face palm at the overkill factor.

Trent hastily gathered the new data, seeing the worth in the battlechip quickly. And even in his determination and rage, he knew Mark wouldn't allow him to forget about the zenny. After a fast transfer Trent set down the net, his feet moving him fast in search of more data for Sasha. He never even head Mark when he spoke about the new chip; or when he told Trent he should calm down and focus on the task instead of rushing through it.

"Also, we traded for a new chip during that outburst of yours. You really need to get this emotions thing in check. I don't see how you can get any type of fighting done like this. Back to the chip though, its a useful one for your fighting style. I thought you'd enjoy it more than the boomerang we traded off for it." Mark said.

Trent heard those words. A slight pang of shame rang through him when he noticed he was fighting by emotions. This thought quickly dispersed as the thought of so quickly having lost the first thing he was charged with keeping so quickly returned.

{Battle 4}
A group of viruses waited for Trent's arrival as they all stepped into position. A handful of Misty viruses hovered over the patch of water while the others...were somewhat there. A single Weather virus from the group flew up into the sky and out of the navi's view, leaving Trent in a 6v1...temporally!
