Yoka Net busting

((This post does not, in any way, represent anger.))

As Voltman carried on past the bridge, the terrain he was walking on began to creep up higher and higher, until he felt like he was hiking up a mountain. Then, he encountered a high cliff, with some viruses clustered around the bottom of the cliff. Some were also situated on the ledges on the cliff, and a few squeaks could be heard from the top of the cliff. A beautiful trickle of water was flowing down the middle of the cliff, creating a small stream that flowed down beside Voltman.

-BATTLE SIX, FIGHT!!-
Voltman navigated his way carefully across the destroyed length of the bridge as he continued. Stepping on several remaining chunks of data, he managed to reach the whole portion of the object, before suddenly feeling yet a sharp pain in his arm.
Damn it... not another. I thought I'd gotten all of them. Lifting his arm up, Voltman saw another chunk of his shattered Elecsword lodged in the armor, his movement across the bridge having driven it far enough in to hurt him. Gritting his teeth, he gripped the shard and pulled it out, tossing it into the river below. Wincing slightly as he bent his arm, he sighed with relief when he found that the shard hadn't damaged any more of his systems.

Just how many pieces of that sword do you think got lodged in your armor? Shigeru asked as Voltman continued walking. His navi was at half HP, and still continuing on in the net. His passive regeneration had helped him recover in the past, but at its current rate, it could take two or three more encounters before he'd be at full combat strength again. A small sound from his PET notified him that the Process Upgrades had finished their installation. He started to pull up the data customization program, when he noticed Voltman stop and start fidgeting. Turning towards the holoscreen, Voltman reached a hand behind him, braced himself, and removed another shard of sword. Shigeru pointed suspiciously at the shard. Was that thing lodged in your-
ONWARD TO BATTLE! Voltman yelled, cutting off his operator midsentence and running off of the bridge towards the depths of Yoka Net.

After a small while of walking further, Voltman heard a sound. The trickling of a stream. He isolated the sound and followed it. Where there's water, there are water viruses... he reasoned as he trudged along. But his trudging soon gave way to hiking, and then practically climbing as the once flat terrain became steep and difficult to traverse. But the noise continued to grow. Finally, Voltman cleared a small onsen and located the source of the noise. A rushing stream. Not very large, but not only a trickle, the stream ran straight down the face of a cliff in a stunning waterfall before continuing to where he was standing. He relaxed. It was peaceful, for once.
But not for long.

Explosions suddenly rocked Voltman's position as he was shelled from above. He began running. Behind his feet, the ground ripped apart with the force of the blasts. Finally, the barrage ceased, and he stopped his dash. A bit too abruptly, as it were. He tumbled sideways as he attempted to turn, crashing into a very hard, very unstable object. Turning around, Voltman had just enough time to see the timer on the countbomb reading "1" before it disappeared entirely. His impact had apparently been enough to disable the weapon. A stroke of luck.
The cliff, Voltman. That's where they've gathered. All of them.
Looking around the cliff, he saw the sources of his troubles. Disembodied hands floated along the ground at the bottom of the cliff, the beginnings of timebombs forming within their grasps. And at two small ledges in the cliff that he had missed seeing before, firing squads of Canodumbs lined his vision. And at each group of viruses, what seemed to be... a leader. A single Earthdragon per group, weaving in and out of their pots like demented snakes being led by a charmer. Voltman cracked his neck to either side, and then his knuckles. His wounds patched themselves with an audible crackle of electricity as sparks knitted themselves into armor, and his form glowed with power as a barrier materialized over his armor. A spear appeared in his hand, and a dark cloud above him.
Right, then. Let's begin.

The dark cloud rumbled with thunder from its depths as it prepared some form of maneuver. Suddenly, a flash of lightning, and the electric crusader was gone. A bolt of electricity sped along the ground from where he had been, carving up dust in its wake and throwing small obstacles aside. Passing the first group of enemies, the bolt failed to even slow as it neared the cliff, and upon reaching the base, turned a sharp 90 degrees and went straight upwards. Zigzagging now up the sheer face of the cliff, the bolt passed the two outcroppings and shot into the sky above the very top of the cliff. Its momentum slowing as it passed off of terrain, the bolt suddenly changed its trajectory and flew straight at the top of the cliff. Voltman landed in an earth-shattering crash, weapon already in hand. A double sided spear was his weapon of choice, both ends gleaming in the light from the net. Twirling the weapon in his hands, the heads of the spears detached from the shaft, flying outwards on small lines of data to strike at the enemies. A slashing stab at the Earthdragon, three more swipes at the doglike viruses popping their heads out of the ground, and the weapon disintegrated into nothingness.

Voltman pulled out another spear. Standing on the circular arena, an image of another circular arena flashed in his mind. A small figure, silhouetted against a flaming grove of bamboo. A sword held in front of it, the figure spoke. What you seek. What you stand for. What you live for. What you battle for. All this is in all of our souls, grasshopper! We shall learn more when our blades clash, for that is also 'The Way of the Swordy! The figure charged...
Voltman snapped back to reality, looking at his enemy. He looked at the spear in his hand, and back upwards, remembering the words of the enemy he had faced that day. One must find their own strengths... harness them... make their abilities truly their own! Following this proclamation, he prepared to attack only to find that the spear he held in his hand had shifted. The formerly bulky shaft had slimmed and rebalanced itself, becoming a proper weapon, even as electricity from Voltman's body coursed over the length of the weapon. The head of the spear glowed from the force of the energy contained within, and Voltman's eyes flared to life with the beginning of the attack. Something within his person had shifted. Gripping the spear in both hands, Voltman charged forwards, dashing past the Earthdragon with spear held outwards. Finishing his charge, Voltman turned, making a slashing motion with the spear. To his surprise, a wave of electric energy formed where he slashed, flying towards the target.
Unnoticed by all, a single cherry blossom petal fell to the ground, sliced neatly in half.

The three doglike viruses remaining on the top of the cliff were still an issue, however. Voltman looked around, only to find that they had disappeared. He groaned. Not THIS again. Shigeru, we have to have something to combat them that'll work better than the last time, eh? Voltman asked, even as a strange line of data flew over his screen. Something about a buster upgrade. He summoned a small amount of energy, only to find his visor pulling up the Seeking attack targeting system. The buster upgrade suddenly made much more sense. Voltman scanned the viral signatures in the area. There. The data stream of the first doglike virus. Voltman let go of the energy allowing it to hover above his palm, before grabbing it and throwing it high into the air. The ball of energy circled around several times, bobbing and weaving as it followed the movement of the enemy it was designated to find.

Meanwhile, Voltman was readying his own blow. Small blocks of data fell into place on either side of Voltman's palm like tetris pieces, slowly forming the outline of a bow. When the outline was complete, the object suddenly filled with color and expanded into three dimensions. Black, with yellow trim, Voltman grabbed the bow and drew a single heart shaped arrow. He didn't focus on the ground around him, but rather on his own attack above him. He left the bow undrawn as he waited, but as the energy suddenly sank into a dive towards the battlefield Voltman quickly nocked the arrow and tensed the string. When a small hole seemed to appear on the battlefield, the electric battler grinned, letting fly with the arrow just as the first attack neared the target.

We don't know how long the effects of the arrow will last. Charge! Shigeru yelled, to which his navi only responded by doing as instructed. Gripping the spear he had discarded after his initial attack against the foes, Voltman charged it with energy even as he dashed forwards. Swinging the spear, the targeting system from earlier activated once more, guiding the spear's blows towards its intended target. Two orbs of energy flew out of the spear as Voltman slashed and thrusted with the weapon, and the new attacks quickly sought out their target and attempted to deal their blows.
But Voltman knew that unless he did something, the enemy would just retreat underground as before. With that in mind, he formulated his final strike. The spear in his hand shifted as the shaft shortened, even while the head of the spear sharpened and turned into a gleaming blade. Soon, Voltman held a sword in his hand instead of a spear. Thrusting forward with the sword, Voltman laid the flat of the blade against the ground as he attacked, before abruptly stopping his thrust and flipping the sword upwards, attempting to catch his enemy in the maneuver. Acting now only on instinct, Voltman stabbed at where he thought the enemy to be falling, so as to impale it and prevent it from returning to the ground.
Sorry, pup. But you picked the wrong day to be in my way.

As Voltman prepared himself for battle, the Handy made their way underground. Then, as Voltman passed by them, three of the Handy popped up and placed bombs that ticked by slowly, showing a '3' on each of them. The EarthDragon on the bottom lunged for Voltman, only to be bypassed by the Navi's incredible speed.

Voltman made his way up the cliff to the top, where he found some more enemies to battle. Using his double-sided spear, Voltman managed to hit all the enemies, except for a Rush and the EarthDragon, which shot itself at Voltman, piercing his barrier!! The Rush, scared stiff, escaped.
(Barrier Damage 20x2, Overflow 80)

Unfazed, Voltman sliced through the EarthDragon, dealing massive damage to it. Then, he decided to focus on one Rush, but his buster attack was dodged by the mole, but was good enough to locate it. Firing an arrow helped, however, as it hit the Rush dead center, prompting it to hide again. When it popped up, his stabs hit true as both of them hit the Rush. Finally, he lunged for the Rush with a sword-using maneuver, but unfortunately, the Rush popped up in a different place!

Voltman's armor was torn, battered, and in some places missing entirely. The Earthdragon's vicious blow had relieved him of more than half of his HP, and his armor was degrading to the point that torn bodysuit could be seen underneath on portions of his arms and legs. One half of his visor had shattered, revealing no eye but only a glowing blue light, flaring with power as data flowed in and out of, sparks forming nerves in the hollow void past his outer shell. He put an arm over his "eye" as the unfiltered data analysis began to cloud his mind with figures and values. A burst of electricity from the ground shot up Voltman's legs, past his torso, and merged over the exposed eye. The visor reformed quickly, the the rest of the data went towards patching some of the larger wounds. The largest data leaks had to be assisted by his trusty barrier, but the stronger version of the barrier seemed to hold it back effectively... for now. No time to waste, then.
A white bone appeared in Voltman's hand as he prepared his counterattack. Throwing the bone as hard as he was able with his less damaged arm, Voltman sent the attack towards his target. The bone seemed to "hop" vertically as it neared its target homing in on the virus' main form before recognizing the pot as the data source and dropping into a steep dive.

Voltman would have liked to see the attack connect, but suddenly, the ground beneath him erupted with electricity. The sparks that normally came gradually from the net he was in arrived in droves, swarming around his armor and patching his wounds extensively. But... something else was occurring at the same time. As the power surge coursed over his armor, Voltman gripped his head and let out a pained cry, as the armor on his arms began to thin, while his limbs grew shorter...

Standing over Voltman, with a sword to his chest, was none other than Watt. Granted, it was a toy sword, and he'd caught Voltman by surprise, but even so, things weren't in the best of situations for the adult persona. Volt let out a pained laugh as the armor on his back mended, having just been shattered by the powerful blow he received from his younger self.
Eheheh. Watt, why'd you do that? Voltman asked, even as their outer form changed on the massive screen to Watt's small body.
There are PUPPIES out there! I want to see them! Watt yelled, gripping tightly the stuffed beagle plushie he'd received from Mental not too long ago. And this time, to make sure you aren't mean to me...
A steel cage dropped from above Voltman, and Watt leaped into the chair even as Voltman received the new battlechip data. Three packets fell to the floor, but they were all trapped in the cage with him. For the moment, he was trapped. Grabbing two of the bars, he began to attempt to lift it.

Seeing the burrow that the more damaged of the Rush viruses had left, Watt leapt into the circular opening. Freefalling through the caves despite their changing angle no doubt changing the gravity, Watt had just enough room to spread his stubby arms out.

That shouldn't be happening... Voltman noted, as Watt seemed to defy the laws of physics. ...even in the internet. But when Watt spread his arms out, Voltman got his answer as to the cause of Watt's weightlessness. The energy that Voltman usually used to attack enemies was glowing at the fronts of Watt's palms. The energy propelling him along, and the new seeking upgrade following the energy trail of the virus, Watt seemed to fly. But if he tries to hug the virus... the energy would detonate WITHIN our hands, causing... Voltman looked up, a much more urgent expression on his face. He needed to think of a plan.
Watt, at the control panel, was having enormous amounts of fun. Eventually, a small figure appeared on the screen, prompting an excited yell from Watt. Puppy ahoy! Voltman looked at the few battlechips he had available, eventually settling on the one he could afford most to waste if the strategy didn't work: a simple Cannon. Taking careful aim, Volt tossed the data packet into a small transfer module, and blasted the console with electricity. The data sent itself, triggering a chain reaction.
Watt looked at the control panel, incredulous. Wah! That's not good! That doesn't happen! He yelled, stating anything he could while he tried to figure out just what was happening.

Watt's figure in the tunnel suddenly started shaking violently. The energy in Watt's palms that had been keeping him flying continued doing so, but the source of the energy migrated down his arms into the emblem on his chest, where an even stranger occurrence took place. The emblem itself sank into his chest, leaving only a gaping hole into his chest that seemed deeper than his small form would allow. Blue-white energy collected within the cannon barrel as Watt passed the virus, spinning around and reaching out with his arms, as the white glow of the surface appeared ahead of him.
Hug!
The cannon exploded, unleashing a triple blast of energy that tore through the tunnel towards the virus, even as it propelled Watt backwards out of the caves.

Watt rubbed his head, looking at the screen. That wasn't a hug... He said sadly, before a hand on his shoulder caused him to turn around. The force of the blast had dislodged the mental barriers keeping Voltman guarded, and now it was the older brother's turn to take control once more. But rather than his usual strategy, I.E. sending Watt off to play while he battled, Voltman summoned a chair next to his.
Maybe, if you watch me battle, you can learn how to fight better, and you might even point some things out to me. Fair? Watt's face brightened as he nodded, and plopped down in the chair next to Volt.

Watt's form was enveloped in a cocoon of electricity as it flew out of one of the tunnels. The web of energy grew larger, before dissipating to reveal Voltman in control of the complicated navi once more. Looking around at the empty surface of the clifftop, Voltman rotated his arms and walked towards the edge of the cliff. Time to take some potshots with a bigass cannon.

The massive cannon in question materialized around Voltman's arm, one half of the gun appearing below, and the other half above, everything from his hand to his shoulder. The halves connected around Voltman's arm, metal straps securing them in place. A loud whine emanated from the weapon prepared his shot, as Voltman looked over the edge of the cliff quickly to establish the situation.
Too many enemies... Voltman noted, before recoiling as his foot slipped on the edge of the cliff. A small chunk of data broke off of the cliff edge, tumbling downwards and breaking off several slightly smaller rocks in its descent. Voltman grinned. He had a plan. Supporting the cannon with his free arm, Voltman dashed a safe distance towards the middle of the clifftop, turned, and took aim at... the ground? Here's your time to... no, no... looks like things are about to... Voltman scratched his head, muttering various failed one-liners before just shaking his head and raising the cannon once more, energy lining the barrel in preparation to fire. Ah, screw it. Eat rockslide, bitches! He yelled, pulling the trigger and letting the Powerblast fly. The explosion of energy sunk into the face of the cliff without difficulty, sending fractures all along the terrain. A moment passed, when suddenly a sharp crack resounded and a large piece of the cliff broke off.

A bit too large for comfort. The chunk that had broken off of the cliff was only the first, and yet it had taken a large amount of the clifftop with it. He had to take measures to protect himself. As he activated a battlechip, the bottoms of his boots turned a metallic gray, the color soon spreading to the ground beneath his feet. Seeing a pair of floppy ears pop up nearby, he sent the metallic expansion towards the virus, hoping to engulf the once-burrowing enemy in the hard outer casing of steel.

Starting off, Voltman decided he'd get rid of the annoying EarthDragon with a simple bone attack, which deleted the virus quite simply. Then, suddenly, Watt took control of the main body, diving into the first Rush's hole. The Rush took this with little agreement, as it tunneled away from Watt, struggling to run away. Then, Watt attempted to 'hug' the Rush, which ended not so well, with him being launched out of the hole and not even hitting the Rush once.

Then, Voltman resumed control as he prepared the Powerblast on the cliff itself, creating a large crack that traveled downwards towards the first outcropping. In a single instant, the ledge split in half, sending most of the viruses tumbling down towards their deaths into the small stream, the ledge's rubble instantly blocking the stream and turning it into a quick viral burial. Then, not one to go without preparations, Voltman initiated a terrain change, shifting the earth below his feet into metal, startling the Rushes behind him and damaging them. They immediately responded by reverting the change back into earth and diving back into the soil for cover.

Below, the Handy, being bored without a Voltman to pester, set even more bombs as the ones set earlier ticked slowly to a '1' on their display...

This is why I should not try to analyze turn structure just after waking up from 4 hours of sleep.
Makes me sad that I didn't even hit it once, though. I worked hard on that move.)

Voltman looked over the edge of the cliff at the devastation he'd caused with interest. The rockslide had caused most of the first ledge to collapse entirely, leaving only a single outlying Canodumb on what remained. The other virus' remains were scattered among the rocks that now cluttered the river. Great. And it even took out one of the Earthdragon viruses commanding the group. Suddenly, he flinched as the ground beneath him let out a small crack. He ignored it, for a moment. The ground's perfectly solid, thanks to my Metalzone. Nothing to worry about. Without warning, the ground let out an even larger crack, and started to collapse beneath Voltman. He leapt backwards, looking down to see the metal area disappearing as the ground returned to normal.
The hell...? Hearing a small yipping noise from behind him, Voltman turned to see the severely weakened RushEX in the ground. He snapped. Pulling out twin spears, Voltman began charging up as much energy as he could muster from his reserves, as well as actively creating a blast using his normal power stores. Alright, you are SERIOUSLY pissing me off, Dog! DIE ALREADY! Letting out a roar, Voltman let fly with three blasts of energy, two created from dissolving the spears, and one released from the lightning bolts on his shoulders. The triple blast soared into the sky as it crossed the short distance of the cliff top, before diving into the RushEX's hiding place. But with his firing, Voltman flew backwards. Straight onto the unstable cliff once more.

With his footing already compromised, and his business on the cliff top all but done anyways, Voltman took the first action that came to mind. He jumped. Flying downwards at top speed, the electric navi realized that the impact would damage him severely unless he came up with some sort of plan. Coming up with a plan on the fly, Voltman downloaded a few battlechips. As a result, while he flew a blue orb began to materialize in his hand. Growing larger, the Aquaballoon soon reached its full size as Voltman neared the ground. Placing the Aquaballoon beneath him and maneuvering himself so he was crouching on the battlechip, Voltman prepared for impact by reinforcing his lower legs with some of his own latent energy.
With an impact like a meteor, Voltman crashed to the ground, the Aquaballoon warping with the impact. Pushing off against the elasticity of the Aquaballoon, Voltman aimed for his target: the Countbombs. Flipping through the air, a glowing sword appeared at Volt's wrist, devoid of any elemental energy but still razor sharp. The beeping from the bombs was growing more urgent, and Voltman knew there wasn't much time until they went off.

Quickly, Voltman! The ones that were placed first! They're more important! Voltman nodded, turning to the tight grouping of three bombs to his right. Shigeru was correct, the timers were much closer to detonation than the newer explosives. With a massive swing of the Widesword, Voltman blasted the area around the bombs with a wave of energy, throwing up debris as it carved pieces from the ground at the points where his slice intersected the ground. Looking around after his attack, though, Voltman sheathed his sword, an irritated expression on his face.

Tch... there's too many of them, and I can't possibly dodge all of their attacks... He noted, looking at the firing squad on the cliff and the two remaining Earthdragons. And we don't have a defense possible of taking them all on at once... Voltman slumped, but continued surveying the battlefield. His earlier rockfall had given some cover, but it was too far away for him to reach in the few moments he had remaining. Suddenly, battlechip data started downloading to his system, as Shigeru's holoscreen appeared.
You may not have a defense powerful enough, but you might just have an offense that is! Shigeru announced, as a schematic for a custom battlechip combination appeared on Voltman's visor. His navi viewed it for only a moment before activating the battlechips.
It's just stupid enough to work. Activate custom chip combo, ReflectBoiler!

Voltman placed both arms in front of him as an outline of a concave disk formed, gripping the handles that appeared on its backside. In the center of the concave curve appeared a kettle, which attached itself with several data links. On Voltman's right arm, a small button appeared, ready to launch the LittleBoiler on command. Bracing himself for impact, Voltman knelt, digging into one of the grooves he had created with his sword only moments earlier.

Overview:
<Dynamo (Heal 30 HP)>
1. Rapid Buster Shot to RushEXA (40, Seeking)
<Jolt [x2] to RushEXA (40, Seeking)[x2]>
<Jump off cliff>
2. Use Aquaballoon to cushion impact (Summons 200 HP object, absorbs all damage but Elec, Aquabody, in 3 turns explodes to deal (10+Damage Absorbed) to all enemies)
<Siphon to assist in impact nullification (40 HP Barrier)>
3. Widesword to CountbombA/B/C (80, Wide attack)
4. Place LittleBoiler1 into concave side of Guard2 (Prepare for next maneuver)
5a. Use LittleBoiler1 Guard to absorb attacks directed at Voltman (Earthdragon attacks and Canodumb blasts) (LittleBoiler1 for most attacks, using the concave Guard to direct stray attacks inwards towards the LittleBoiler) (Absorb all attacks that hit the LittleBoiler1, Reflect up to 120 with Guard2)
5b. Toss LittleBoiler1 into middle of Ground-level enemy group. Primary Target: EarthdragonA. Secondary Targets: Handies (100+Damage Absorbed, Blast2)
6. TrainArrow1 (+30 Aqua damage to all rapid buster shots next turn, disables Charge shot while active)

(Hunh. For such fancy maneuvers, this post is decidedly shorter than usual. Ah, well. Nothing for it, I suppose. I like this terrain, though, gives me plenty of chances for different battle strategies than murdering everything in sight right away.)
Voltman first tried to delete the annoying Rush that had eluded his attacks so many times before, with exactly two of his attacks hitting the Rush, deleting the little bugger. Then, leaving the other lone Rush to escape, he jumped off the cliff, using the AquaBalloon he set down as a cushion to avoid a painful impact. Then, he destroyed the bombs set down by the Handy, only to have them summon even more of the explosives!! The bombs set earlier ticked to a '1' on their huge, unnecessary displayed timer. Then, he activated his combination ReflectBoiler chip and threw the LittleBoiler in anticipation of an attack from the EarthDragon.

... However, none came, as the dragon-shaped flame only appeared to watch Voltman! Seems it had some brains inside that pot. With his Guard activated, he was totally unprepared for a back attack from the Canodumbs, which had spotted him and unleashed a barrage of fire towards him, one hitting his barrier and the other going on through the barrier. (Barrier destroyed + 50)

(Damn, not feeling very creative this post. *Sigh* I hate it when that happens. Anything less than my usual posting style starts failing, actions-wise, a lot of the time...
But then, there isn't actually much action here. Regardless, I'll do my best to keep to my standards. *Cracks knuckles*)

Voltman fell to one knee as the powerful blasts impacted him from behind. He looked back at the sheer cliff face, flipping the bird to the Canodumbs positioned on the various ledges. The armor on his back wasn't torn all the way through, however. Placing a hand on one of the destroyed Countbomb, the random sparks emanating from the destroyed weapon gathered around Voltman's wrist, eventually spreading to his back and healing most of the damaged area. Placing his hand on another of the destroyed bombs, he managed to leech enough energy to restore his barrier. He started to move, but winced as a small piece of rubble landed on the data.
Damn. Looks like they damaged my armor deeper than I had originally thought... He said, removing the arm straps from the guard and moving it to his back. The yellow shield molded onto Voltman's armor, forming plates that didn't hinder his movement while entirely protecting him from attacks from behind.

His defenses set for the time being, Voltman looked towards the enemy units. There were still quite a few of them left, his efforts thus far having been cleaning up the offense that the handy viruses had prepared in his absence and jumping off a cliff (Not in that order, mind you). But the bombs kept coming... Voltman, you'll have to somehow take out all their bombs and the Handies in a single group of attacks, or else they'll just keep spawning them! Shigeru pointed out, as the beeping that filled the air became slightly more urgent. Time for the bombs was running out. But first, he had to set an explosion of his own. Summoning a spear, Voltman deconstructed the data, converting it into raw energy with a few moments of focus. Voltman took quick aim at the LittleBoiler1 bomb among the Handy viruses and let fly with the shot. A small explosion, and then what could have possibly been steam began to come from the weapon...

Voltman ran up to the bombs next, pulling the Widesword from its sheath at his waist. Hairline fractures ran along the length of the blade, its integrity compromised after a single blow. A small targeting reticule ran across his visor, highlighting each bomb briefly before moving on. After targeting the seven bombs (and for some unknown reason the Earthdragon) lines appeared, linking groups of three bombs together and highlighting the optimal sword paths. Leaping into the center of the bombs, Voltman let out two quick slashes. White traces in the air lined where he had attacked the bombs, even as the sword in his hand shattered from the impact. A massive explosion timed itself perfectly with the end of his slashes, steam erupting over the entire area with the Handy viruses, dissipating quickly but leaving a small crater where it had been. Leaping backwards, Voltman discarded the hilt and small broken blade of his shattered widesword.

Tch. Ever since the systemwide change to the chips, they just aren't as durable... Voltman noted regarding the swords, as the lightning rods on his shoulders detached, miniature cannons appearing at their bases and aiming them forwards. Summoning two orbs of energy in his right palm, Voltman sent them into one of the spikes, causing it to glow visibly and shift slightly to point better towards its intended target. His visor's final two selections (the final bomb and the Earthdragon) both highlighted, the Earthdragon being targeted by the energy-infused fang while the bomb was to be destroyed regardless. Code began to flash across the visor as the battlechip firing sequence initialized, before being momentarily halted by some unknown force.
The hell...? Voltman remarked, before his emblem glowed a bright white and... disappeared? An empty void remained where his emblem had been, undoubtedly deeper than the size of his torso should have physically allowed.

This should give you the firepower to finish them off, Voltman! Go! Shigeru yelled, sending the third battlechip his navi would need, and a defensive chip for later. A massive cannnon slid out of the new hole where his emblem had been, piece by piece of the barrel unfolding until the weapon reached a full foot and a half out of Voltman's chest, its barrel glowing with a latent blast. Voltman glanced at it quickly, before his view was cut off by his visor's targeting system highlighting the enemies and only the enemies. Time slowed briefly for Voltman as the weapons fired, the three blasts spinning around each other once before flying for their targets. Three explosions lined the battlefield as Voltman ducked down behind his Curseshield1, keeping his Guard2 protected back to the cannons that had decimated his defenses just earlier.

(Hrm. Very short tun, come to think of it. All the actions happen just about at once, so there wasn't really much I could do with this post aside from IC character development, and I didn't really feel like including that this time.

And to whomever mods, it sounds like Harbin wishes to speak to you before you do.)
Quickly moving, Voltman fired a quick shot towards the LittleBoiler, making it heat up in preparation to explode! Quickly, he adjusted the shield to his back and slashed apart the bombs that the Handy made. Then, he got out of the way as the kettle boiled over, dealing quite a bit of damage to the viruses!! Then, he set up another defense, the Curseshield. A Canodumb from earlier tried another potshot, but got a taste of its own medicine when its shot was reflected back towards it. The other Canodumbs had a look at their comrade and decided not to do anything stupid.

Explosions! Swords! Tea! Intrigue!
Voltman's attacks absolutely wrecked the units on the ground. The bombs laid in pieces around him, while the Handy viruses couldn't even be seen after the debris from the explosions cleared. The Earthdragon just... collapsed into its pot, followed by the pot shattering and disappearing. The electric navi was suddenly pushed forwards as he was blasted in the back, just as before, but this time he was prepared. He felt the guard on his back absorb the energy from the blast, before he was pushed forwards another few steps when the shield reflected the attack back at its sender: The Canodumb. A large chunk of the virus' base was destroyed by the blast, but it remained standing. The results had deterred its allies' attacks, it seemed, though the reason was unknown to Voltman as his Guard was already neutralized. Regardless, he took the reprieve as an opportunity to restore latent energy for his barrier, and heal his wounds.

Voltman, the cannon's near deletion. Take it out first, or it might cause problems soon. Voltman nodded, and turned to the Canodumb. A small cannon appeared on Voltman's arm as he downloaded the Powershot chip. No fancy tricks for this attack, his only goal was to take out the weakened Canodumb before attacked the large group. Voltman took aim, relatively simple considering the virus was immobile. He let off a quick shot, before turning his attention to the ledge of sniping Canodumbs and the dragon leading them.

Alright, this battle has gone on long enough. Time to bring out our trump card. Shigeru, send the Areagrab and the Elecsword! Voltman yelled to his operator. A sword shot out of Voltman's left wrist, as a massive amount of electricity concentrated in his right palm. His Curseshield, which had formerly taken up one of his hands, formed itself loosely around the armor on his chest. His form began to waver, as the energy of the Areagrab activated, boosting his processing speed immensely in preparation for the boost. The sword on his arm flared with electricity, and the energy in Voltman's other hand formed into the rough shape of a spear.
I take my weapons not only from my operator, but I forge them from my own energy! With these, I shall be victorious! He yelled, the lightning rods on his shoulders glowing with the combined energies of Voltman's Jolt strikes and the Powerbolt battlechip.
This ends NOW! The battle cry echoed around the arena as Voltman disappeared with a crack of thunder.

Voltman reappeared behind the enemies, his armor glowing with the force of all the attacks he was preparing at once. With a roar, Voltman began his strike by slashing with the Elecsword. The blade flashed through the air, shooting electricity into the rock face as well as the enemy ranks, breaking off several small rockslides nearby. Next, Voltman flipped around the spearlike energy, preparing it for attack. The energy of the spear focused itself in the head, while a small amount remained connected to Voltman to form the shaft of the weapon. He let out a yell and thrust the weapon at the Earthdragon, and the energy exploded into thousands of bolts that arced around the pot before diving towards their target.

Voltman's lightning rods still pulsed with energy, his Elecsword was still active, and the Powerbolt had manifested itself as a thin-barreled blue buster on his right hand. Is... is it over...? Voltman looked around at the rubble, the enemies on the ledges, and the stats of his own armor and weapons on his visor. If it isn't- A small *ka-chack* was heard from the Powerbolt buster, and the elecsword flared with electricity. -it will be soon.

(And so, hopefully, it ends. With mystery data, no less. ^_^)
(Bump)
Voltman heals up to full as his attacks totally destroy the remaining few viruses, leaving a small pile of gold and a rather large emerald. Er, what?

REWARDS: 1800Z

Voltman opens the emerald Mystery Data. A blast of wind wafted out.

REWARDS: Wind

VoltMan: 200HP
Voltman slid down the cliff face carefully, the mystery data in hand. Relieved to see that the rubble from his rockslide had disappeared with the battle, he continued on.

(Battle 7, 200 HP)
After arriving at the end of the cliff, there was an awkward silence that VoltMan couldn't quiet place his fingers at. Taking a single step forward, the ground beneath him shattered and sent the navi straight down! The navi safely landed on his feet despite the sudden change of the situation, and found himself in an underground cavern, brightly lit with multiple holes on the ceiling. The hole from where the navi fell was still visible and climbable, but before he could proceed back up, he felt an unmistakable presence behind him and found out that a group of viruses was already behind him!

Voltman fell into the hole with about as much enthusiasm as could be expected of such an activity. Taking one look at the viruses, at the time display on his visor, and at the cliff behind him, Voltman just sighed.
F*ck it. There's no challenge here. Let's go, Shigeru.
And with that, he proceeded to get the hell out of dodge. Or attempt to, at least.

Well, okay then, Voltman escapes. Happy now?

(Quite. XD
But yeah, I've been talked out of the 20 run. There are better methods of achieving my own ends. >: D)
