Nuts and Lightning Bolts

"Doo doo doo..." All transferred into the Net, SplashMan marched into the Net, looking around. "You know, I remember when I would've come in here whining like a coward!"

"That's because it was the other day!"

"H-Hey!" Okay, maybe he should just start looking for viruses. "By the way, did you really put that ElecSword in our folder...?"

"Sure did! I mean, it's not even really using your inner power for electricity! It's just a sword that's made out of electricity!"

...Nope, he wasn't winning this battle. "Fine..." And with that, the search began in honest...

(Searching for Battle #1)
In the search for more viruses to smack in the face, SplashMan ventured into the Rogue Electown network, where he encountered some viruses to smack in the face fairly quickly. Some Scarecrows seemed to be siphoning some electrical energy from some coils that were apparently fueling power into the network. Circuits on the floor in the form of magnetic paneling coursed with a yellow glow, centered on the coils. Also of note was a shiny green Mystery Data crystal in the middle of the coils. The Scarecrows turned when they noticed SplashMan approaching, and turned hostile!

...Hmm. Scarecrows. SplashMan knew about them, but he couldn't recall ever fighting them. And if he had, he probably had it repressed. He knew they were Elec elemental, and there was something else noteworthy about them...but he couldn't think of it. Oh well. His job was trashing them in whatever manner his operator decided. Still, the fact he couldn't remember bugged him..."What is it that make Scarecrow unique, again?"

"They're Elec element, and when they attack, they heal themselves!"

"...Oh yeah! It's coming back to me now! And how do they attack, again?"

"Shooting electric beams!"

"...Wonderful..." That did NOT sound pleasant.

"Don't worry, we can get around their healing by beating them in one shot each!" Unfortunately, their only chip capable of doing so probably wouldn't get them all. But with a little boost, there was another..."Just use this, and cut them up one at a time! Don't rush too much! BattleChip, BambooSword! BattleChip, Attack+20! Double slot in!"

A green WideSword like blade appeared on the Navi's hand, glowing slightly more powerfully than usual due to the power of the support chip infused within it. With all the speed he could muster, he raced across the metallic ground beneath him, approaching the nearest electrically attuned entity. He raised his sword high, then forcefully brought it down, right down on the Scarecrow's head with any luck. But he couldn't stop there. He slowly ran in a circular pattern, only breaking the shape in order to dash in and try to cut apart a different lightning rod-like virus. Unfortunately, it still wasn't overly fast, what with the lack of legs and all, but when all you had was a wooden sword...

As he delivered the third, and ideally final, attack, the BambooSword reached its limit, and instantly vanished without a trace, leaving only SplashMan's hand. With an 'uh-oh' look that clearly showed that he lost track of how many times he had used the weapon at some point, he looked on, ready to try and avoid any surviving viruses. But now that he was looking closely, there was something in the middle of those coils. Something green and shiny...but he couldn't be caught distracted now. All he could do was await potential electrical pain, and try to avoid it...

[Order of Turn:
1-BambooSword chip attack on Scarecrow2A (80+20, Wood, B, Slashing)
2-Attack+20 chip attached to BambooSword (S, +20 attack power to attached chip)
3-BambooSword chip attack on Scarecrow2B (80+20, Wood, B, Slashing)
4-BambooSword chip attack on Scarecrow2C (80+20, Wood, B, Slashing)
5-Dodge
6-Dodge]
With a shiny BambooSword at the ready, SplashMan went into action, dashing into the enemy group and slicing up some scarecrow hide. Unfortunately, in his haste to cut them all down, he failed to slice up the very first one he targeted, which then proceeded to slam his back with a lightning-fast double dose of electrical goodness. And by 'goodness', one would mean 'excruciating pain and suffering'. (60x3AquaMetalx2Hits)

Pain. PAIN. SplashMan's body was covered in static electricity from the sheer might of the lightning bolts, though aside from dramatic effect, it didn't seem to have any lasting effects on him. "Ugh...sorry Sabrina...I guess I'm still not fully recovered from everything at the TV station..."

"I knew it! Why did I listen to you, anyway?! Whatever, we can talk about it later...right now, we need to make sure you don't get yourself killed!" ...Which reminded her, she should really considering putting that chip in at some point. Not that she could right now, but it was something to keep in mind later on. "This should be enough...BattleChip, IronShield2! Slot in!"

A large, metal shield appeared in front of the water Navi, which had the very fortunate property of being nonconductive to electricity. That should be enough to deter any electric beams aimed at him. But defense alone wouldn't stop it all together...to that end, his cannons began to be charged with his internal water energy, rapidly becoming filled with normally harmless liquid. What made it extremely hazardous was when it was pumped out with immense speed and pressure, able to penetrate solid steel with sheer force. Much like how he proceeded to do so after stepping out from behind the shield for a moment.

"All right, now let's make sure it stays down, and-"

"I don't need another chip! It might hit that Mystery Data in the middle, and we can't have that!" Unfortunately, he couldn't use it that quickly so soon after using it just then, so the process was just a tiny bit slower. Which meant three times slower than usual. But since he had a shield, he patiently waited behind it, as he waited for that moment where his weapons would reach the brink, letting him know that the moment had arrived...oh, there it was. Once again, he jumped from behind his lone source of protection, and if that Scarecrow still existed, to give it one more lesson on the power of water attacks...

[Order of Turn:
1-IronShield2 chip on SplashMan (4-hit shield)
2-Get positioned so that SplashMan and Scarecrow2A do NOT form a straight line with Mystery Data (movement)
2a-Reserve Tank R (passive buster charge)
2b-Reserve Tank L (passive buster charge)
3-Water Splash charge attack on Scarecrow2A (200, Aqua, Break)
4-Charge buster
5-Charge buster
6-Water Splash charge attack on Scarecrow2A (200, Aqua, Break)]
SplashMan had the luxury of being careful not to hit the GMD, even if the enemy had the potential to EJO or delete him on the spot...Thankfully, he was careful enough to protect himself with a shield before making his moves, which actually saved him from a world of pain as an electric shock crashed against it.

The well placed buster shot was just enough to put an end to this fight, leaving SplashMan with a good sum of zennies, chip, and an unopen GMD!

Despite winning, SplashMan made no gesture acknowledging his victory. Instead, he slowly wandered towards the center of the formation, transferring his new chip and money without stopping.

"That's all we're doing today, understand?" The library boost was nice, but it was hardly losing her Navi over, after all.

"Yeah...but there's Mystery Data there. I'm seeing what's in it before I go!"

"...There was Mystery Data?" ...Huh, there was. Fancy that. "Hang on, we can't have you getting caught in some kind of trap. SubChip, Untrap! Slot in!"

The Navi's hands glowed with energy, ensuring that whatever Mystery Data he grabbed would be perfectly safe, and not explode or summon more viruses or anything. Just good ol' fashioned extra stuff.

(Opening Green Mystery Data; Untrap SubChip used)
Blah blah blah, unlocking mystery data, blah.

[GMD: RiskyHoney2]
Phew, turned out the data was well worth not destroying. But since he was so beat, he was done blasting apart time. And so, carrying the beehive data, SplashMan let himself jack out and get some rest.
