With the kill confirmed, the soil around Terra's arm vanished into dust, and she welcomed the two rascally viruses back to her side. However, one of them accidentally tripped as it approached Terra, taking its comrade with it, as they were still attached by the rope between them. As a result, Terra was splashed with an adequate amount of mud, though she managed to shield her face in time, with a small giggle. The Bandcoons shook the mud off quickly, splashing about even more of it around as it panickingly started cleaning the mud off of their spoils, while Terra knelt down to meet them, her own body already covered with various flecks of mud. She didn't seem to mind, however, patting both of her "pets" and accepting the chips.
"Carbide's going to be jealous if she sees you spoiling them so much," commented Scarlet with a little chuckle herself. As Terra dismissed the two back into their battlechip data, she turned towards her operator. "It's not as if there's a limited offer for my attention." The Navi smiled, while the operator herself was taken by surprise by the joke--it wasn't something she had done before, either. Terra didn't seem to pick up on her operator's astonishment, however, as she continued to tour the deeper levels of Rogue Yumland.

What might have first been assumed to be a broad lake of a mud pit simply seemed to keep going, like some vast sea, with Terra moving casually along the coast line the scent of rich earth and the consistent, erratic sound of mud bubbles popping was the only sound for a short while, before Terra found the coastal path cutting between the mud shore and a steadily rising chalky cliff face a few metres back. Large broken chunks of white chalk scattered the area near the base of the cliff as she walked; it seemed the mud sea had nothing like a tide flow, per se, so they were as clean and white as when they'd fallen.
Slightly off shore, there was another of the large jellyfish viruses, just coming into Terra's visual range, drifting in the mud sea calmly, but before she could move to engage it, a sound from behind some of the larger chalk rocks gave rise to a particularly massive corn stalk that seemed both ecstatic to see her, and unduly volatile about the fact. Not far away, a scuttling sown and a brief glimpse of a bush-like critter clued Terra in to the presence of another virus as well.
That wasn't quite all of them, as it turned out. From behind, the way she had just come, a high-pitched sound of glee turned her head to see something coursing rapidly through the mud just a short way off shore. The wiggling shape resolved into the dopey grin of a particularly messy mudfeesh, larger, faster and possibly dumber than any she'd seen previously. It had a rope in its mouth, which was serving as a crude bridle for the creature riding on its back, holding on with one paw while the other waved a large tricorn pirate hat (it was black and had the very traditional white skull and bones on the front of it, of course) with glee. It looked a bit like her own bandcoons, but was liberally coated in mud with its fur so slicked she had no idea hat colour it might be underneath. It whooped again, waving its hat around, then pointed it towards Terra and began trying to wrangle its mount towards the shore. It seemed to take the muckfeesh a while to understand what the tugging at one side of its mouth was supposed to mean.

Bandcoons are gray raccoon-like creatures, around 30 inches in height. They possess black stripes around their body, aside from their short, almost stub-like legs. Their faces are usually unseen, as they're covered in a red mask with string decorations. Their tails are twice as long as their actual bodies, and are usually curved into a question mark shape. At first this may seem like a simple design choice, but the tail is actually prehensile, and Bandcoon cleverly use it to steal chip data from Navis. Bandcoons' speed and small size combine to make them surprisingly difficult to hit while moving, and are even agile enough to turn sharply with little problem. However, if caught standing still, they're practically sitting ducks. However, when they're not using chips, they always prefer to move when possible. Their main tactic is to roll around and confound the enemy with their speed, then move in and swipe them with their tail, using it like a hook to grab data not directly tied to them, namely Battlechips. They can then use it themselves, at reduced power, as a free action. All other effects of the chips still apply, including pre-requisites to use the chip (i.e. Spice still needs Grass terrain, MachineSword still requires that the enemy be stunned). Higher level Bandcoon are aware of such conditions, and will try to satisfy the requirements if at all possible. If the enemy has no Battlechips, Bandcoons get extremely aggravated, and will ram an enemy in anger and desperation. However, they severely dislike doing this, and will only use this attack as a last resort for when they have no chips.

EarthJelly are floating, jellyfish-like viruses, that seem to simply float nonchalantly, yet are deceptively difficult to combat. Fortunately, their rarity ensures they they never appear before a Battle 6, and there are never more than 2 in a single battle. While their horizontal movement is terrible at best, they can easily adjust their altitude as needed. By default, however, they tend to hover a couple of feet above the ground. The exception to this is when they attack. EarthJelly attack by launching large waves of mud at enemies The attack cycle of EarthJelly is 2 actions long. It requires one action to charge before firing. If they are stunned or otherwise temporarily disabled, they resume their attack cycle where it was halted once the stun wears off. When they attack, they drop to the ground in order to pump out as much liquid as possible. This allows them to harness the power of certain kinds of terrain to boost their attacks, but it also makes them immobile and vulnerable to ground-based attacks for the duration.

The sheer size of the muddy flats continued to surprise Terra, as she continued to travel along its perimeter. The bubbly surface of the natural melting pot made for a nice tune that she happily walked to, picking up little traces of life underneath the persistently opaque surface. Occasionally, she stopped to crane her head slightly when it seemed like something would surface, but nothing ever came forward, and she left each time feeling rather disappointed. Soon after, the large chalk formations that began cropping up allowed her more of an inspection, sometimes walking up to them and breaking off little chunks, observing what was inside and how each piece broke off and crumbled. She returned each bit to how it was before, of course, after having examined it.
While the trip proved to be stimulating for Terra herself, however, her operator was growing gradually bored. She fought to prevent a yawn from escaping as she scrolled through the few other bulletin boards that she picked out earlier. None of them had any new information for her incident in Okuden earlier, unfortunately. Even so, she kept herself busy with trading the few excess chips that she had on board, and was occupied for the most part. When the few viruses showed up in her video feed, she was the first to react, rather than her Navi. "Oh, more viruses! I was wondering when they'd show up," Scarlet commented, before Terra could even mention them to her. Terra herself was somewhat surprised, but didn't complain all too much when she found several chips already being sent to her in rapid succession.
"All right, you've got a good mud pit right now, so I'm sending in the MudWaves you just got to put them to good use," said Scarlet, taking the reins of operation, while Terra replied with a curt "Understood." The Navi steeled herself to receive attacks coming her way--quite literally, and lines of green light began to race down her body, spreading out through the earth. Where the lines went, the earth shook in response, awaiting the trigger that would split them apart. Some of the mud began to harden in front of her, just as her eyes shone a brilliant green. At once, a cascade of similar emerald sparkles gleamed all at once throughout the lines of green light from earlier, and the earth cracked open. The earthquake that ensued belched out masses of high-velocity mud across the mud pit, with some of them even flying out as chunks of hardened earth towards the floating Jellyfish. From where the hardened soil broke off, a trio of luminescent green serpents broke out of the earth and lunged out at some of the viruses, seeking to devour them whole in their ephemeral jaws.

Terra assessed the situation as the land-bound viruses hid and the fish-riding pirate veered inwards. She galvanised her form just as the dopey-looking mount splashed at her, though its careening path took it in a broad circle around her without actually connected, leaving a trial of thick mud everywhere. As it finished its loop and splashed back out into the mud sea, Terra just barely caught sight of the pirate-themed bandit brushing the back of her shoulders with its tail. When she looked, however, it had scooped up two large wads of mud from the surface and flung them at her. It didn't hurt, of course, but it was thick and sticky and heavy.
Despite this, Terra's own answer in the ensuing mud-fight came back as a powerful wave, which not only rolled out across the sea, but also splashed back against the rocky cliffs, obliterating the sounds of viruses to her other side with a number of startled trills that disappeared into a bubbly silence. unfortunately, the oblivious fish choose the movement of the wave to leap up out of the water, carrying both itself and its rider clean over the hostile mud force. The jelly, further out, rose up high as well, while the wave rolled pasted underneath it.
As the wave passed, however, it seemed as though the viruses that that avoided it thought they had a moment; the pirate tried to steer his fish back towards her, and the jelly dropped down hard to begin pumping out a muddy counter-wave of is own. What none of them had counted on, however, was the second crash of mud that Terra sent out at them, this time catching both pirate and rider with the broadside of her wave and drowning them, while the jelly took a messy pounding. Its own wave washed across Terra, but honestly, it came closer to feeling refreshing to her, rather than harmful.
While the now-sunken thief had pinched her third chip, his use of it had still left Terra with what she needed for the attack that followed, and this final burst of energy hunted down the jelly virus and finished it off before it could lift itself back out of the mud. Terra was unharmed, victorious and covered head to toe in a thick layer of fresh, fertile mud. Just the way things should be, perhaps.

Area: Yoka, Okuden Valley, Netopia, Yumland
HP: 130
Primary Attack Damage/Effect: Chip Steal + 1/2 Chip Use
Primary Attack Accuracy: B
Primary Attack Description: Ringthief steals a single random chip the opponent has selected this turn. They then use the chip at 1/2 of its normal power, rounded down to the nearest 5. Recovery chips still work at full power.
Secondary Attack Damage/Effect: 30 Null + Impact
Secondary Attack Accuracy: A
Secondary Attack Description: If Ringthief cannot steal an attacking chip for any reason, they will instead roll into an enemy.
Element: Null
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): Pickpocket (Rare), Zenny
Special: Haste while moving (+10%). Double Slow while standing still (-20%).: DELETED
EarthJelly2EarthJelly2 (EarthJelly)

Thoroughly soaked by the mud, but not any worse for wear, Terra stood at the edge of the pool of mud all by her lonesome. Underneath the mud, her steeled form wore off rather quickly, but unlike last time, she began to walk it off without bothering to clear it off. Scarlet raised an eyebrow at it. "Um... you're not going to clean off the mud, Terra?" she queried hesitantly. The Navi stopped walking briefly, in the visage of what looked like a horrible monster from the deep. "I thought that if I had to be covered in this all the time, I might try to get used to it. The mud feels kind of cooling, actually. Do you mind if I keep going like this?" she said.
The operator blinked for a few moments, before sighing. "Well, I guess it won't do you any harm... Sure, it's not like anyone's around to see it except for some viruses in the middle of this forest," she said. Scarlet then heard what sounded like a small giggle, before the sound of squishy mud dominated her speakers, as Terra continued to walk through the jungles of Yumland, now in her new... outfit of sorts.

Dressed in her best, Terra continued along the coastal mud plane, exploring and seeking more of her bounty targets. Warmth from the sun made the light breeze pleasant and the mud nicely cooling, but before long she found herself approaching further viral presence along the shoreline. The sea of mud continued to spread out on her left, while the chalky cliffs rose further on her right. The hard stone ground at the base of the cliffs formed a broad bay that curved around and gave plenty of room to walk, though it wouldn't exactly be called an idyllic beach by many.
Just ahead, a pair of straw-hatted samurai viruses faced each other, stances low and one hand gripped on their sheathed swords as they shuffled back and forth, testing each other for openings. They both stopped immediately as Terra came into view, however, and turned to face her instead. Just beyond them, a low cave opened up at the base of the chalk white cliffs, with the large shape of a teddy virus just lumbering out, and an equally bulky body lying down a short distance into the cave behind it.
Out to sea, the shape of another jelly fist surfaced, then lifted itself out of the mud slightly, tentacles waving back and forth slowly; it might make one wonder if this mud sea was natural, or whether the jelly bounty was in some way related to it. closer in, her thoughts might be interrupted by the incessant buzzing of a large swarm of mosquitoes that hovered above the mud, but seemed now to be taking an interest in Terra as a possible food source.

Thoroughly soaked in mud from head to toe like some monster of the week, Terra continued further into the Rogue Yumland network. It seemed like compared to when she first visited the normal layer of the Yumland network, the selection of flora that was on display in the Rogue layer was much more varied. Every so often, Terra would stop by here and there to examine the local foliage, digging up some interesting-looking plants of varied shapes and sizes, decorated in vibrant colors. Unfortunately, Terra herself was rather mute about her appreciation of the plant life, preferring to keep her thoughts to herself, and so her operator slumped over the desk in boredom, trying to stave off sleepiness by trying to think of a conversation topic to fill the time with.
Unfortunately, she seemed to be at a loss for anything concrete to talk about while she waited for more threats to show up, and it didn't look like Terra herself was interested in bringing up conversation of any kind either, being totally engrossed with the abnormally large red flower she had discovered at the foot of a couple of trees. There was one thing that managed to catch Scarlet's eye, however; when Terra was examining the flower, she briefly looked to her side, as if expecting something there, before her head drooped slightly, and she stood back up to walk a bit further in. The operator took notice and stood up in her chair, her eyebrows slightly raised, before she swapped to another window that showed the PET's internal server homepage, where Carbide was still sleeping soundly. She smiled for a moment, before a notification in the other window shifted her attention.
"More viruses, Scarlet. Seems trivial enough," said Terra, still covered from head to foot in mud, which made Scarlet tilt her head slightly, but she got to operating nonetheless. She scoped out the enemies and the terrain--something of note was the cave at the other side of a pair of straw-hatted Zemon viruses, though her interest quickly waned as it seemed to only hold a pair of Teddy-types. Over on the muddy sea, the Skeeter-type that accompanied Terra's bounty target seemed to be a possible deterrent due to its flight, but she had seen Terra deal with those easily before. Her fingers raced across her chip folder screen in the exact same manner as she had done a minute ago, before slumping over the desk to watch what happened next.
Looking around the area, Terra raised her arms, as the mud caked over her body suddenly began to expand around her, creating a brackish "silhouette" of her that hovered over her, standing at over twice her height. It began to harden rapidly and its "eyes" glowed a brilliant green, as its raised arms crashed down onto the ground. The impact threw out a massive shockwave around her, throwing around huge chunks of hardened earth in every direction like a typhoon, even tearing out bits of the terrain itself. It was a veritable "disaster", localized within the small area around Terra's body. Then, around the earthen silhouette, a trio of wispy green spirits revolved around its midsection, before hurtling away from her to seek out the survivors of the huge area-wide attack. In the middle of it all, Terra stood motionless, protected by the silhouette's encompassing protection.

The presence of more viruses seemed mostly to be a mild change of pace for Terra, in between her botanical explorations. She swiftly settled into her usual practice for removing such threats, though as she saw the Jelly rise up above the mud as predicted, she didn't catch the two Zemons as they acted more swiftly than expected; they had both turned to face her, but in the instant before she managed to raise her defence, one of the pair disappeared from her sight. She felt it, more than saw as it appeared behind her, swinging quickly with a draw cut of its blade, and though only one of its paired strikes struck, the one that did drew a long slash across her back, from one shoulder to opposite hip.
The second one rushed up to her a moment later without teleporting, attempting to take her head on, but by the time it arrived, Terra's favoured defence had hardened her body, and its blade sparked off, skittering against her form harmlessly. The nearby swarm of mozzies descended on her as well, but they, likewise, were too slow and their efforts at biting and draining met a steel skin beneath the layer of mud, which defied their efforts to penetrate. The two Zemons seemed more cautious as their blades had no further effect, but Terra didn't give them much opportunity to contemplate the problem, as the earthen image of her form released the first of her attack waves about the sheltered cove.
The wall of mud drowned the mosquito swarm, and sloshed over one of the two sword-wielding viruses, though the other, looking at her face to face, showed a moment of wide-eyed panic, then warped out, just before the wave hit it. It appeared just next to its partner on the far side of her, safe from the flood. Back in their cave, the two teddies were just beginning to meander forward to inspect, when the wall of mud bowled into them both, washing them back with unhappy ursine bellows. They righted themselves, then rushed Terra, filling the space around her with their now very muddy, furry bulk, and slashed with rabid ire, but just as the sword had earlier, their claws scarped and sparked against Terra's body without doing any harm.
Again, Terra's earthen avatar answered in kind, with a second wave. One teddy was thoroughly broken by this attack, though the second one was mostly shielded from the wall of force by the first. Of the two sword viruses, the one that had evaded her first wave was not so fortunate this time, though the main for of the wave section that hit it seemed to spend itself on that virus and only splashed its companion lightly, without harm. The jelly virus, which had risen above the first wave, was decently clipped by this second one, and it wobbled a little in the air while it drew energy.
Terra had a moment to look around as the second wave dissipated; both of the Zemons were left still, eyeing her warily, hands over the hilt of their blades as they watched her impervious body for any sign of weakness. One teddy was left as well, furiously picking itself up and likely about to come back at her again with thoughtless rage. The remaining elements of the muddy flood had torn up chunks of the ground around her as well, and two of the largest struck out towards the floating jellyfish. The first collided with it, and the Jelly dropped suddenly to the mud, causing the second to sail past it. It pumped out an answering torrent of mud which sloshed back over Terra drenching her body once again and refreshing her unorthodox beauty treatment, though it had no further effect.
In the moment that followed, her silhouette was wreathed in at trio of wispy spirits that darted out to strike towards the survivors; one to a straight shot to the jelly while it was recovering from its attack, striking true and destroying it. Two more darted for the nearby Zemon viruses, and they both attempted to side step breaking away to either side with sudden motions. One was hit anyway, though the other survived. In the wake of this cautious and precise response, the remaining teddy had righted itself, roared in a fury and laid into Terra with more heavy slashes, too incensed to realise that it was having no effect... although her protection wasn't going to hold much longer, for now.

Wincing slightly from the slash that had connected with her body, Terra's gigantic mud-body began to dissolve and melt into the ground, but not before it suddenly froze in mid-air, as if something was holding it in place. "IceDragon, slot in," Scarlet's voice sounded throughout her head. Cracks appeared around the silhouette's body, from which massive amounts of frost started to spread out across it, enveloping Terra's mud-soaked body in a thin dome of ice. All at once, the dome shattered into three equally large shards, which coalesced rapidly into a serpentine shape, revolving around her body, before lunging towards the two remaining viruses.

Just as the remaining Zemon thought it might get an opening to attack, Terra's form shifted in another unexpected way, and the sudden burst of ice shards was enough to overcome both of the remaining viruses before either of them could make any further attacks. This only left Terra on the rocky shore, amidst an assortment of junk data, though sadly there was little left of particular interest this time around.

EarthJelly2EarthJelly2 (EarthJelly)

"That was a bit more intimidating than your usual fare of attacks," commented Scarlet, as the viruses around Terra disintegrated from her unrelenting offense. She rolled her shoulders slightly, irked that one of the viruses had bypassed her defense. The feeling struck her as odd, as she normally would have simply passed it off as an inevitability of virus busting. She looked down at the cool mud covering her hands.
"Trying different things with how I use my attacks. I want to find something that looks... cool? I'm not sure how to say it," said Terra, switching her focus on the surrounding area. Of the different areas that peaked her interest, the vast mud sea and the chalk caves were two primary candidates, and the latter seemed much more promising than the former. She made her way towards it, still dripping with the mud that the Jelly had attacked with prior.

In her quest for cool-looking attack methods, Terra continued on, angling towards the open cave mouth in the base of the chalky white cliffs. The two Teddies had meandered out of the cave she was moving towards, but maybe there was something interesting inside? As she drew closer, however, it seemed as though searching would need to wait; by the time she could see inside the mouth of the cave, it was clear that there was a continued viral presence inside, quite densely populated.
The hard rock of the shore line gave way to rich earth and grass around the mouth of the cave, and she spied two mushroom viruses just inside the entrance, to either side. One was mostly hidden behind a large broken chunk of chalk, though the other was in plain view. Further in, she could just make out the shape of a vine virus, curling against the left wall, while a pair of dark-toned gloomers hovered at wait in the central area, further back.
Inside the cave, she had time to see also, a very large dark-coloured stone boulder, ovoid in shape, that looked different enough from the natural stone to stand out, as well as a sickly-looking patch of poisonous sludge not far away from it. Oddly, there was also a fish, very clearly a long way from water, flopping about in blissful ignorance in a small mud puddle of its own making. While Terra was catching sight of these details, too, yet another large earth jelly rose up from the sea of mud behind her; it looked as though these things were going to just keep coming if she stayed around here.

MashyMashy (Mushy)
Mushies only appear in battle if 15% or more of the terrain is Grass. Mushies can only move across Grass, Mud, and Soil terrain types. GloomerGloomer (Boomer)
Boomers cannot be damaged from any direction in the forward hemisphere so long as they carry their boomerang. Any attacks from the rear hemisphere or Break attacks hit normally. Boomers launch their boomerang when they attack, leaving themselves open to counter attacks. Boomers move by floating through the air, and are immune to the effects of Anchor. They are, however, still subject to the effects of terrain. They cannot be forced to submerge into liquid terrain, nor can they be buried in solid terrain. VinerViner (Viney)
Viney viruses do not move or dodge. Viney viruses require the presence of Grass, Soil, or Mud terrain in order to appear in battle, and they always appear on these terrain types. Vineys are rooted in place, and cannot be moved. The main body of a Viney is immune to any and all forms of attack except fire element damage, but the vines the viruses uses to attack with are vulnerable to all attacks. The virus attacks by using a group of thorny vines to creep up out of a nearby panel, then move towards the victim in hopes of capturing them. Once the vines make contact, they wrap around the victim, and hold them in place while causing damage. The vines can only be escaped from by the target if the target dedicates an action with decent roleplay attempting to escape. The vines may also be cut or burned in order to allow the target to escape, but in the case of fire, the target sustains double the fire damage of the attack used to burn the vines. Summoning the group of vines requires an action, moving the vines requires an action, and damage is dealt to a captured target for each action the Viney spends trying to hold the target in place. Both the vines and the virus itself are damage zones. Any damage either one sustains counts against the virus' HP. Both are subject to terrain effects and those effects stack as if the virus were in two places at the same time (because it basically is).

Bind is canceled by attacking the source with Fire or Slashing damage, or spending one or more actions to escape with good RP quality. Using Fire to remove the Bind source also damages the trapped victim.

"Any reason why you're looking for these cool moves?" asked Scarlet, probing further on how Terra was suddenly interested in looking "cool", when as far as she knew, the Navi had little interest in anything that wasn't nature or something similar. One other thing did come to mind first when it came to things Terra was interested in, but she wanted to hear it from the Navi herself. However, she seemed to be getting the cold shoulder, as all the operator heard from Terra was silence. Soon, however, she noticed that Terra was fidgeting again; she was playing with the mud in her palm and rolling it about into a ball that circled around her hand as she walked. An even closer inspection revealed that it wasn't a ball, but a tiny figure of mud that stumbled around her hand. A smile crept up on Scarlet's face.
The smile wouldn't last too long, though, with the cave that Terra was entering being revealed to be a veritable den of viral threats, and the operator's brow creased in response. The two mushrooms that sat to the side were already enough cause for concern, but there were still a fair few scattered around the sides and the back of the cavern as well, along with what seemed to be a very suspicious-looking dark boulder in the middle of it all. Terra seemed mostly unfazed; she seemed to be more distracted by her little "toy". Scarlet knew better of her Navi, however, had already started supplying her with the chips that had served them well enough just prior. No real pressing need to fix what wasn't broke, after all, Scarlet thought.
Defying her expectations, however, even the chips coming in didn't seem to elicit any response from Terra. In fact, she went and knelt down on the floor, seemingly more concerned about the little mud puppet in her hand than anything else. As soon as she let it down on the ground, though, something happened around it. The earth immediately transmuted around the diminutive earthen figure to form chunks of terrain, as well as several other figures around it. The others strongly resembled the viruses that surrounded her, in a little monochromatic diorama made entirely out of dark mud.
With her original puppet in the middle, Terra began to play around with her finger in the mud, swishing around the soil that made up the tiny display. Her action seemed to be mirrored in scale around her actual body, with the earth churning up in large troughs around her, as if a giant invisible finger was playing around with it. Repeating it once more, the diorama at Terra's feet was turned into an unrecognizable mess, save for a few chunks of hardened soil that seemed to be tougher than the rest. She then dug into the soil under the diorama itself, pulling out chunks of the remaining untouched soil before flicking it around her play area, much like a child would destroy their own sandcastle at the beach. As had happened just before, enormous blocks of soil broke away from the earth around her, and hurtled around in random directions, some larger than the rest.
Though she seemed to be mimicking child's play, Terra wore a blank expression the entire time, owing to the fact that her body had been coated entirely in the protective steel defense as she had before.

Seemingly more distracted with her own thoughts, Terra wandered into the cave and played with her mud toys in silence, while the viruses watched. Perhaps just a little bit too casual for a moment , both of the mushrooms warped in next to her, spraying clouds of spores, before she actually managed to raise her otherwise impervious defence. A cloud of disorienting pollen covered her, but by the time the creeping vines from another virus snaked up out of the ground and coiled themselves firmly around her limbs in a familiar, exploring way, her form had already become impervious to further harm.
The first tremors of her casual assault on the cave threw a great deal of mud around, though it wasn't until the second main body of her offence/play-time passed through the space that viruses began to fall. The two gloomers attempted to fire their boomerangs at her, though they sparked off her skin without impact. The mudfeesh, coasted happily over the first wave to slide all around Terra and coat her liberally again, and getting a large portion of it in her eyes and clogging her senses, before it, too was overcome by her terraforming. The jelly, having avoided some of the tumultuous mud ripples, dropped low to wash the same back at her, though it had no effect on Terra.
With timely teleports, the two mushroom viruses endured the majority of her play, warping in again to scatter more spores over her; the tickle of them was building up, but without a need to focus for the moment, the growing disorientation didn't seem to affect the oddly unconcerned navi yet. When the largest chunks began to tear up, the Jelly took two solid hits, wobbling in place as it tried to life back up, and though the exploring vines had spent time trying in vain to find their way into interesting places on her hardened exterior, the final rush of wood spirits that Terra released tore them away and finally put the two mushrooms in their place... or she thought it did. Against odds, one seemed to have survived even that attempt.
For a moment, quiet fell over the cave as the muddy upheaval settled. Terra couldn't see so well, and the pollen-driven confusion was tickling its way into her other senses in a maddening way now. From what she could tell, though, very little remained in the cave after her first efforts.

EarthJelly2EarthJelly2 (EarthJelly)

EarthJelly2EarthJelly2 (EarthJelly)

Scarlet's screen crackled erratically once the Mushroom-type virus's attack hit, scrambling the visual output into strange views that didn't seem to be anywhere near where Terra had just been in Yumland. From the random shards of visuals that were coherent enough across her screen, she could make out a few areas--a treacherous volcano that seemed on the edge of erupting, a barely lit ocean with murky shapes rushing about, a long expanse of cracked asphalt filled with mud and silt. Lastly, however, her screen seemed to be taken over by a roaring field of static electricity that seemed to be encasing what appeared to be a lone asteroid in the depths of space. This last scene appeared to last the longest, and was the most coherent of all the visual fragments.
Even that didn't last very long before the screen completely blacked out, and returned to displaying Terra's current location in Yumland Net shortly after. Through her PET, she was able to see Terra clutching her head for a moment, as she slowly stood back up from the muddy pool that she was currently in. The mud ran up her body and solidified into a temporary armor that covered her upper body. "... That last attack is giving me a headache, and it's did a number on my senses... Scarlet?" said Terra, before Scarlet could ask the Navi anything.
The operator did what she could, and surveyed the area manually. Her Navi had done quite a number on the viruses around her, leaving only two on the field, with one badly damaged and the other still loosely hanging on. "There's two left on the field. I'll send you the LeafShield and a bit of extra stuff, hang on," the operator said, with three chips being sent through her screen, beeping with each confirmation. Back on the field, a hazy green aura began to envelop Terra's body, while she began to blink a few times blearily, as if she had just woken up from sleep.
In front of her, a murky shadow began to rise from the hole that she had ripped out of the earth, coalescing into something vaguely humanoid. However, it didn't seem to be taking on the shape of its source, the Nightmare virus, but rather the shape of a rather short child, wielding a disproportionately large sword. The shadowy squire vanished into thin air, before reappearing in front of the remaining Mushroom virus to sweep the massive blade in its hand in a wide arc. The shadow quickly vanished, while Terra herself had the hazy aura around her solidify further into a more solid sphere of green light. Then, a strange whisper came from the sphere of light, and several whirls appeared on its surface, before launching a barrage of light bullets towards the Jelly further in the back.

As much as the viruses had sent Terra's senses reeling, it wasn't the first time she'd been in such a situation, and likely wouldn't be the last. The terraformer as quick to counteract the confusing agents and raise more layers of protection to keep her form harm while dealing with the remaining two. No sooner had her outermost aura risen in a swirl of energy, then the mushroom virus had teleported back in to spray her again. Fortunately, this time the barrier took care of the debilitating spores as well as the attack itself, feeding Terra back some of the natural energy for her own benefit.
The Jelly, further out beyond the cave mouth had lifted itself up again, and dropped, washing another torrent of mud in her direction, but this, too, simply, managed to crash over her and see pinto her second layer of harder earthen armour, without harm. The mushroom tried again, now that her defences seemed to be down, but just as it arrived in front of her, Terra's child-like summoned entity cleft it in half, neatly slicing cap from stalk before it could attack. All that remained at that point was the jelly, still recovering from its attack, and Terra's next assault was more than enough to pincushion it into submission.
This left Terra free to collect the remaining spoils from her battle, if battle it could truly be called; reasonable zenny, another chip to add to her arsenal, not too bad all told. While she was collecting these, however, toward the back of the cave, the large black stone cracked loudly. By the time Terra could look, all that she could catch would be a glimpse of something scuttling away into the darkness beyond. the interior of the stone bore a hollow cavity, lined with a stunning display of red and purple crystals.

Special: Immobile.

MuckfeeshMuckfeesh (Mudfeesh)
This virus looks like a sausage shaped fish with a brown underbelly, a blue/green/red/black back (depending on the version) with a wavy dorsal fin, a mouth that constantly gasps for air, beady little eyes and a large flat tail that it uses to propel itself. It moves by flopping around very erratically, granting the family a passive dodge effect.

Attack Description: It leaps at its target, attempting to slam into it with its slimy belly.

The sound of the boulder cracking open, and something scrambling out of it, made Terra's head snap over to it in attention, and the small figure that she had recently created mimicked her motion as well. Both of them tensed up, but were suddenly cut off by a voice coming from within Terra's head. "Hold on a second, Terra, I'm cutting you off there," said Scarlet, appearing in a nearby floating display, which seemed to startle Terra briefly, and caused the miniature mud golem to collapse on itself. Terra's expression was tense, and her eyes blinked rapidly, seemingly anxious to be so abruptly interrupted.
"Just... sorry, you've looked like you've had something on your mind for some time already, and you look like you're really strung up about it. I'm worried about it. I don't want you chasing after... whatever that was--if you're not in the best state of mind," she said. Terra's eyes widened slightly, and she took in a sharp breath, before visibly relaxing a little. The Navi looked off to the side, fidgeting with her arm, before exhaling and shaking her head.
"... I'll take a little break for now. Let me think about what I want to say," said Terra, walking over to the side of the cave to look for a good place to sit down and take a breather. Scarlet's worried expression didn't change, but she did note the injuries that Terra had sustained, and thought to purchase some upgrades. Luckily, she didn't have to summon a hapless runner anymore, and could simply use an apparently new "courier system" that Suitachi's Navi Shop had set up. Noting down a few upgrades to make Terra's strength more concrete, she sat and waited for Terra to begin talking.

After Terra sat down and began tending to her injuries, all was quiet for a moment. Scarlet heard the low hum of Terra's energy-sourcing process, absorbing the latent curative energy within the network's native self-healing process. The Navi let out a slow exhale, as a patch of grass began to rapidly grow under herself. "... It's about Carbide," she started, looking up at the chalk stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave. "I'm not really sure how to word it... Thinking about how she's so fervent about protecting me, I feel somewhat guilty, even though I shaped her that way. Even though she says that she wants to do it for me... Was that by my hand?" she said, looking at her gloved hand as it clenched and unclenched.
Before Scarlet could comment, however, the strange sound of a persistently ringing bell echoed from outside the cave, causing Terra to stand up rather quickly. Her expression looked a little confused, though it wasn't long before the source of the noise came rushing in. The screech of rubber tires punctuated the entrance of a rather barebones-looking bike, rode by what appeared to be a NormalNavi wearing a brown knapsack. "New record! Woo!" the Navi said, dismounting the bike in one smooth move before standing up to salute Terra. "Hey! I'm here to deliver some upgrades! I assume this is miss Terra, EXE extension?"
"Ah, yeah, I did order those. You can accept them," said Scarlet, and Terra nodded curtly. The Navi then extracted a glowing data orb from his pack, and handed it over to Terra. "Alright, got more deliveries to make! See ya!" the Navi enthusiastically said, hopping back onto the bike, which started screeching madly as the pedals began to blur out of sight, before the delivery Navi vanished from sight. Terra stretched her muscles for a moment, looking out from the cave entrance, and back to where the scuttling creature had been.
"Can I move on, Scarlet? I don't have anything else to say, at least for the moment, and I'd rather think while moving so I can test these upgrades," said Terra. Scarlet's brow furrowed in worry, before she sighed and relented. "It shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'm still thinking of what to say too, but I don't want to keep you in one place if you don't want to. I'd rather not have you pursue, well--whatever it was that crawled out of that egg. Last time you chased something into a cave, that took a little more time than I wagered," she said.
Terra's expression scrunched up for a moment, before she nodded, and headed out back to the mud lake.

With her rest complete and some heavy thoughts on her mind, Terra moved away from the cave and continued her journey through Yumland's rogue nets. The rocky beach climbed swiftly upwards, just a short way beyond the cave entrance and soon she found herself striding along an ever-climbing cliff edge, looking out across the sea of mud on her left. The cliffs were a pale white chalk, but a layer of thick loamy soil supported a vibrant field of short, dewy grass on the hill side that rolled down and away from the far side of the sheer cliff.
Occasional chalky protrusions of stone broke up through the grass in places, and though the edge near the drop was mostly flat, the slope grew steep swiftly as it descended to her right. The air had grown cool, with just a faint taste of mist and rain to it, and the sky was clouding over with dark grey. A little further ahead, Terra could see a place where the cliff jutted out to a fairly severe precipice, before changing direction to the right, and a shape stood out at the edge. A little closer, and she could make the shape out as another monsoon virus, its broad hat tilted up as it watched the incoming storm while its robes swirled in the breeze.
Before she could get any closer to it, however, another shape leapt up swiftly onto one on the chalk rocks nearby, looking out of place with a fire-wreathed body and a vaguely draconic appearance. An extra circle of flame washed around it once as it made a threatening sound in her direction. The sound elicited more rustling and shuffling from behind some of the other exposed chalk chunks, and the distraction was enough for Terra to notice, a little further ahead and to her right, a patch of the grass overcome by a small pool of toxic-looking sludge, presided over by another of her bounty targets.

MonsoonMonsoon (Storm)
Storm loosely resemble the Weather line, and may in fact be a distant off-shoot of them. They wear metal hats that loosely resemble straw hats. Their faces are mostly nondescript, aside from their always closed eyes, and beak-like nose. They have no visible mouth, though from somewhere beneath their nose, they appear to be chewing on a bamboo shoot. Their bodies appear to be simple gowns, decorated with swirls. This virus is normally no more or less aggressive than most viruses, but if the enemy is using exclusively/near exclusively Shot or Thrown type attacks, it will attack more frequently, knowing that its attack will help protect it from them.

Kilby viruses try to stay at least 3 panels away from their enemy at all times, and dodge back and forth constantly. Kilby viruses only attack once per turn, and when they do, they teleport to a position flanking their target, and stab them with a Bamboo Lance. This lance strikes at Long Sword range, and may hit two targets at once. After attacking, they teleport back to the panel they were standing upon when they first began their attack sequence. They are mindlessly oblivious to the hazards of terrain. Kilby Omega viruses attack differently. Instead of attacking from the side, they attack 3 separate targets from behind with Bamboo Lance. Having mostly been walking on dirt for most of the time before she headed out, Terra's mood was lightened as she found a decently continuous pathway of soft grass. The greenery seemed to thicken slightly as she walked through, as if padding her footfalls. The upgrades that she had received seemed to increase her ability to draw upon the earth's energy in an instant, and so she was slowly gathering energy as she walked to get a feel for her throughput. As she had nothing to use it on, for the moment she simply allowed it to leak back out, with the grass she "fertilized" even creeping up as vines on the chalk spires that jutted up from the earth. The air felt pleasant in her breaths, as she drew in a deep inhale.
A few steps further, however, and she could sense something manipulating it against the wind. The energy she had been taking in quickly re-circulated around herself, drawing a faint green color from the grass under her feet to form her usual barrier and under-armor. It surprised even herself with how fast she got it back up, but she quickly re-focused on what had got her to put it up in the first place. The Monsoon virus, perched high upon the precipice, seemed to have the air swirl about it unnaturally as it looked out from the edge of the cliff. The Dragrin that leapt onto one of the chalk formations elicited a quick glance from her, and the other three entrances needed no such introduction, as the vibrations across the earth alerted her to their presence, though it didn't really look like the Jellyfish virus was trying to hide itself at all.
"Any chips in particular that you want, Terra?" asked Scarlet, having already sighted the viruses as well.
"I'll leave it to you," said Terra, as she focused on one of the spires that one of the viruses was hiding behind, before vanishing into thin air. Scarlet took to operating immediately, selecting three chips that would be sure to be familiar to Terra by now.
As usual, Terra reappeared quickly, flanking the enemy as soon as she could. Behind the Kilbur, she was kneeling down, with a raised fist above her head covered in steel. She struck the exposed chalkstone beneath her powerfully with the steel fist from the side, punching open a large hole in the cliff's surface by dislodging a chunk of it into the air. The punch directed the chunk of white chalkstone into a crash course for the EarthJelly. Meanwhile, the steel spread out across her body rapidly, while cracks snaked out from the hole throughout the chalkstone.
The grass that she had grown earlier bent to her will, and sank into the earth, regrowing around her vigorously as if to protect her, while a deep roar came from the hole she had punched in the ground. Twin serpentine dragons rose explosively from the hole, hued in green and blue as they intertwined with each other. They would not last long together, however, as they rose high into the air, and split into three identical copies each, rushing out towards each of Terra's enemies with fervor.
