"Oh, you talk! I didn't realise." The old woman chuckled again, smiling as she inclined her head to Lucky. "Should I offer you some tea as well, young one?" Regardless, she continued to potter about, and provided the drink if it was requested. she simply smiled and sipped from her own mug as Lucky explained the situation. At his greeting however she waved a hand at him.
"Phaw, debt nothing. Don't get many visitors up here after all!" As she grinned and laughed, there was a twinkle of amusement in her eye. "But if you didn't know there was a terrifying and powerful dragon at the summit of this mountain, well, you do now!" Here she cackled with mirth, and for a moment the 'wise old woman' image slipped much closer to 'old biddy pleased to be spilling gossip'. Even so, her calm returned a moment later and she stood to stir the stew pot.
"Almost done. Now. You came to grow stronger, and that's something this mountain can teach you, no mistake there young man. But you've got to want it. You've got to really want it. Let your spirit falter, and you'll fall. Doubt yourself, and you'll turn back." She checked the stew again, breathing it in and giving a relaxed sigh. "And if you do want to challenge the beast of the peak, you would do well to remember the value of kindness unlooked-for, and of respect in adversity." The sever tone broke as she looked back to the pot a final time, still smiling. "Ahh, perfect. Enough of that, come eat, get some of your strength back. You've a ways to go yet if you want to make it to the summit by night fall."
In the space of a few well-practiced motions, the old woman had scooped up the bowls and served portions of a thick, chunky stew, rich with strong-flavoured meats. Even more so than the tea, this send a pervasive warmth through Sparks' body, which remained in his chest despite the blizzard outside. After the short meal, she cleared the bowls away again and stood, moving towards the door.
"Get there before night fall if you are going. You have time, but don't tarry." she held the door for him, and as she smiled this time, the faint winkle in her eyes became a brief moment of static sparks. It was gone again in an instant, and might not have even happened at all. "Good luck to you, Sparks. Know no fear."
Soon enough, Sparks and Lucky found themselves out in the snow again, though the warmth in both of their chests remained for a time. The peak lay ahead, still a ways to go, but not too far either.

The food and drink did well to replenish some of the groups vitality. The duo rested peacefully in the small cottage on the moutain. Time went by, and feeling rested it was time to go. Sparks stood back up, and headed to the door. Lucky followed closely behind, bobbing his head back and forth with refreshed vigor. Both Navi, and .SP had smiles on their face, their armor glinted in the light, with an almost new paint job appeal. The samurai's suit was no longer tattered and torn, but whole again.
The words, "know no fear." rolled of the strange ole ladies tongue, and hummed around his ear.
"Know no fear huh... Thanks for everything. I'm going to find this beast at the top." He lowered his top half, bowing out of respect in an attempt to show thanks. They turned, and stepped off heading back towards the tip of the moutain. It was cold, snow still fell, but Sparks and Lucky climbed faster then before, with full warm bellies. Eagerness for what awaited them in the near future hung about them like a fog.

The path up the mountain grew swiftly treacherous and indistinct, after the tiny hut disappeared from sight behind them. Lucky and Sparks had to make their way cautiously, as well as quickly, to avoid the worst of the increasing blizzard. Somewhere, through the snow, a rumble about the mountain sent echos that rang off the upthrust spires of ice; it might have been the wind, or a storm... or it might have been a roar. Maybe his mind was playing tricks?
Visibility diminished further, and the path they were attempting to follow curled inwards as well as upwards now. At times, it was less a path and more simply the least sheer section of mountain. Occasional chunks of ice tore free from the most fragile outcrops, to tumble down and settle elsewhere, while more snow built up and froze to begin the process again.
Somewhere close by the moan and howl of the wind seemed to take form, becoming the clearer sounds of viral amusement. It weaved about Sparks ad lucky in the air before the samurai began t pick out the moving shapes of three cloudy viruses, blending in with the snow storm as they watched and circled.
Fortunately, Sparks had just made it to an area that, while small, was at least a little bit stable. A steep twisting slope, certainly, but not an outright climb; he could probably fight here, if he needed to. Another glance revealed that he would, indeed, need to. Near the next curve in the path, the shape of another machine-type virus lifted itself up and loomed forward through the snow; it rolled on a ball, and had large, oversized fists. Behind it, a dark patch on the ground slide away to the side, not a puddle of oil or anti-freeze, but another virus that emanated an aura of sluggishness along with the cold. As the Titan rolled forward, another virus landed just in front of sparks, sword out and to the ready in defiance; the familiar shape of a swordy making the personable face of this latest challenge, sort of. The top wasn't far now, but one more blockade seemed to be standing in Sparks' way.

TitanTitan (Gigas)
The Gigas are a clan of 8 foot tall viruses whose semi-humanoid bodies are made of a durable metal alloy. Gigas lack legs, and instead roll around on a 3 ton solid steel ball 2-feet in diameter that rests in a cupola. Rising from the top of the cupola is an alloy pillar that supports their metal bodies. The Gigas fight with their huge iron fists, which are provided their immese striking power by large barrel-like forearms. Their great-helm-like heads sit directly atop their shoulders with their blocky hinged jaw slanted in a sneer while their neon-red eyes radiate their hatred of all things Navigator. It is speculated that Gigas are a hacked derivative of the Bladia viruses spliced together with fragments of other viruses and a healthy dose of battlechip program data. This would account for their size, strength, and malicious nature. Where and how this was possibly accomplished is unknown. Gigas move at increased speed, but dodge at a slower than average rate. Gigas viruses prefer to pummel the life out of their foes with their bare hands (even though using the ball-and-chain in melee range would be more devastating), but if they find themselves surrounded or at a great distance to their target, they will use the ball-and-chain to perform a HammerToss. If an object blocks their path, they will either send it flying with a GigasArm attack, or smash it to dust before continuing on. Gigas will sink like the lead weights they are in liquid, and they know it. They will avoid liquid terrain entirely, if possible, and will never appear near these types of naturally occuring terrain for this reason. Only a Gigas' body is damageable. Striking a Gigas' cast iron arms will not damage the virus or the arms themselves, no matter what you hit them with. The Gigas' will not intentionally defend themselves with their arms, as they should be too busy pummeling or hurling something to bother. Do not abuse this.

SlimerSlimer (Slimey)
Slimey viruses were produced to be sources of major traffic lag. While a Slimey virus is on the battlefield, all Navis and SPs suffer from a passive Slow-like effect that imposes a -10% Evasion AND Movement Speed penalty. This effect is not a status ailment, and cannot be cured. This effect does not stack with itself if more than one Slimey is on the field at once. As this does not count as a true Slow effect, up to two instances of Slow may stack on top of this effect for a total penalty of -30% Evasion/Movement Speed. This effect expires when all Slimey viruses on the field are deleted or flee. Slimey viruses are very slow to move and dodge, but every move they make that is not a dodge counts as an attack. Slimeys deal damage by touching an opponent, thus touching a Slimey directly results in damage to any non-Slimey the virus considers hostile.

Both Sparks and his SP companion bolstered themselves with their different defenses, and gave the frosty slope a good looking. Almost as if on instinct, Lucky spit a metal fire ball at the icy ground at their feet, giving them a little room to move freely, without worrying about slipping and sliding. Sparks stood face to face with another Swordy-A2. He eyed the enemy, and said, "You brothers keep falling from my blade. Will you follow suite?" The handle of one of his weapons snapped from his waist and floated to his hand. His sword arm snapped forward, commanding a burst of electricity to shape into a sword. In the blink of an eye, the samurai gave a swift stroke with the ElecSword, that would surely delete the Swordy, unless his foe was quick on his feet, and managed to avoid the attack. In anticipation of return fire, Sparks weaved, and jumped backwards, keeping in mind, that there wouldn't be a second chance after failure here.
"Lucky make sure you're careful here. If there really is a beast at the top of this mountain, we will need to be in the best shape possible for whats next."
The pup nodded in approval. He kept his head up, and eyes open. If an attack came his way, he would stay vigilant and attempt to avoid it.
Sparks summoned a clone out of thin air. The fake samurai chose to run a path between the two cloudlike viruses, and up hill towards the Titan if it managed to make it that far. He hoped the clone would grasp the enemies attention, while he seemingly vanished. Only for a moment thought, because as quick as he was gone, he appeared behind the Cloudy that was previously to his left.
He held his hand right behind the virus’s body. An intense flow of electrical energy erupted from his palm. This energy formed a cone like shape, as Sparks made an attempt to stretch and push it out far enough to defeat all three of the clouds.
The cone vanished, and as a backup plan, he followed up with a second ferocious lighting attack. An electric dragon followed in the cones previous direction, leaving a magnetic trail in its wake as it sought to devour any of the clouds that managed to escape the former attack.
The dragon faded, and Sparks moved quickly, watching his steps and checking his surroundings. It wouldn’t take much for him to end up on his face in the snow again. Not wanting to waste the good gesture of the unknown old lady Navi, he stayed focus and ready to avoid potential leathal blows when they fake his way.

Sparks and Lucky barely had time to prepare their defences before the massive mechanical virus rolled forward through the snow. Its over-sized fists slammed down onto the spot where Sparks had been a moment earlier with a crash that flung up snow and send thin lacy cracks through the ice beneath it. The battle was joined with alarming speed from both sides, while the cloud spirits all around continued to laugh amongst themselves.
Even as Lucky changed the terrain to help them fight more effectively, the trio of shapes in the blizzard summoned torrential rain storms that crashed across the mountain path in different directions, seeking out both Lucky and Sparks. They weren't all on a line to hit them both, but the ones that weren't passed in ways that made avoiding the others all the harder. The two managed to avoid most of the driving sheets of sleet, however even their best efforts saw Sparks getting caught between two passes and having to weather one of them directly. His barrier held it off, though it dissipated in the process.
The samurai was more focused on the other sword-wielding foe for now, and even as it warped in to meet him, Sparks was the faster with his blade, his stroke cleaving cleanly through the shocked Swordy, as well as striking against the exterior of the Titan that had just assaulted him. What should have been a magnified strike, however, seemed to be partially absorbed by the mechanical virus' hardened outer casing. It was damaged badly, sparking and crackling as the electricity faded, but it pulled its fists up and readied itself to strike again.
The titan slammed its fists in a second time, utterly flattening the foolish warrior that was harassing it... but the image scattered into nothingness far too easily; Sparks himself was gone, leaving only the decoy to fool the machine. As he teleported to a more advantageous position, Lucky found himself harassed by the slower of the viruses; the otherwise sluggish Slimer lurched at him with a sudden jolt of speed, splattering against his barrier and breaking it, though it fell back without having harmed him directly. Even so, its very presence was bad enough and it attacks, deflected or not, seemed to be slowing the loyal SP down further.
Elsewhere, Sparks reappeared behind the Cloudy nearest the outer edge of the path, himself dangerously close to along, long fall. It seemed to be enough to have confused the nearest one, however, and his assault deleted it in an instance. The spreading cone of electricity also licked at the other two cloud viruses, but each of them was slightly more prepared and curled themselves out of the way of the attack. Their nimbleness was for nothing in the end, however, as Sparks wasn't finished; his dragon attack followed swiftly after, and neither of the two annoying cloud entities could avoid deletion this time.
This left the field mostly cleared, though as Sparks stood at the edge of the path and planned his next move, He caught sight of Lucky still struggling with harassment by the persistent Slimer. It lunged at him again, this time breaking through his metal armour and slowing his reactions further.

Three visious storms ravaged the surrounding area. Two closed in on Sparks, while one focused on the pup that was close by. Lucky covered his body in metal once more, while the samurai waived a hand in his direction. A stronger, more durable clear bubble formed giving him a little more protection. Sparks' body suddenly became black, as he was shrouded in darkness.
Having prepped their defenses it was time to go back on the offensive. Sparks rushed the Slimer, and slashed at it twice with his ElecSword. First slash was wide and horizontal, while the second came falling from above, seeking to finish the virus off had the first attempt not did the job. The electricity faded as the chips usage had ran its course. A second later, a large hammer materialized in the Navi's hands, while the katana handle floated back to his side. The shadow-covered warrior targeted the Titan now. Lifting the powerful weapon high above his head, and attempted to slam in down onto the mighty foe.
Lucky didn't want to get near, knowing how destructive the Titan could be. He moved backwards in an attempt to create more space between them. Once Sparks had finished his attack, Lucky fired off his HeatDragon1 chip. The flaming energy molded itself into a large serpent like creature that slithered across the winter ground, leaving a trail of lava behind it as it sped towards the Titan. The flames diminished hopefully leaving no enemy viruses in the area. In case the duo's tag team attack failed to finish the enemy, Sparks tossed the hammer as it become dull and turned into the junk data. The handle floated to his hand once again, and he attacked with a Zapslash that would hopefully stun the Titan had it still been standing.

Though the hostile weather lashed at the pair of mountain-climbers, only a couple of genuine foes remain in the area for them to face, and Sparks kept his focus clear as he moved to deal with them, looking first to keeping himself and his partner safe before moving to take them out. As he was finishing his preparations, the hulking titan lurched forward and brought its arms slamming down onto Sparks in a double-fisted overhead smash, but the attack hit only the snow and ice beneath, failing to connect with Sparks through his shadowy defence, activated at the last moment.
The samurai moved like the shadow he had become and swiftly cut the speed-slowing Slimer apart before it could bother his support program nay further, then turned his attention back to the larger virus. It was recovering from its first strike and had turned around, pulling out a wickedly spiked ball and chain from a compartment on its body, but Sparks was quicker, darting back in to slam a suitably devastating hammer blow into the machine that rent its casing and smashed through the rest of its body with very little resistance.
The remaining storms blew themselves out, lashing with little effect against Lucky's protectives and Sparks' impenetrable shadows, until the howling faded down to the normal sounds of the blizzard on the mountain, unaffected by any further viruses. Not far now.

The battle was finished. It concluded with a fair amount of spoils, as well as leaving the samurai and pup unsacathed after leaving the mysterious old ladies residence. They were still worn out to some extent... there’s only so much a short rest can over come.
A flurry of snow still consumed the sky, it was stronger here then any part of the moutain before. The cold air made Sparks’ data ache, and made Lucky’s heated breath give off a slight steam as he let it out. The samurai gently rubbed his palm across the pup’s snout. “We’ve come this far. It seems Joseph is hardly paying attention to us. He had faith that we will make him proud. Let us conquer the beast that is said to reside above.”
Lucky gave an abundant roar in response and pushed up the mountain ahead. Sparks gave a chuckle and stepped off behind him. I he bill had become steeper, and was harder to climb, but they managed.
They climbed, and climbed. Strangely, they didn’t see very many viruses, and when they did, the viruses were singled out, and seemed to want to stay clear of the Navi and Support Program.
Finally.... the Hill seemed to come to a flat, but spacious cliff, because aside from the narrow path the two had climbed up, it was a long ways down looking around the cliff. An ominous presence hung in the air, but nothing was around. Just the cliff... and the entrance to a large cave.
“Know no fear huh...” Sparks rested his left hand on one of the handles at his side. “If there is a monster here, come, so that I can test my blade...”

The presence that Sparks felt in the air wasn't simply ominous gloom; whenever he moved, he could feel a very faint spark run across his limbs. The skies were brighter when he was climbing up the way towards the cliff, but now that he was at the end of the path, clouds had started to gather, and a stiff rush of wind blew through the area. Even through his armor, the chill of the wind shook him to his core, as if the armor was never there.
The cave at the top of the cliff began radiating hostile intent as an eerie red glow appeared from the mouth of the cave. Suddenly, a voice echoed inside Sparks's head; it overpowered the sound of the howling wind around him. "Mortals that dare to challenge me... Begone!" it said, right before a sudden burst of invisible force radiated out from the cave. The force cleared out nearly the entire cliff of its snow, and even knocked Sparks and Lucky back slightly.
The clouds above darkened significantly, and the sound of rumbling earth was now mixed with thunder. A massive dragon's head snaked out from cave, followed by a long serpentine body that rose up into the skies. Its scales gleamed with a golden shine, with errant electrical sparks arcing from scale to scale occasionally. Far above, the dragon's head was decorated with a lengthy beard and wispy moustache that both glittered in silver. Slightly below it, two long, slender arms floated, with large claws at the end that slowly clenched and unclenched.
Its enormous maw was slightly ajar, with electrical arcs escaping from the tiny gap, before it snapped wide open with a powerful roar, shooting out thunder at Sparks's feet. The air smelled sterile as the ground was singed black from the strike, and the dragon roared once more.

The sight of the massive dragon, Lucky howled, and immediately formed his double layered defense. While Sparks remained calm, and confident at the sight of their new opponent. Not wanting to back down, he released his spirit, sending his own invisible force through the surrounding area. “It’s no fun if you stay up there.” Sparks challenged, as a magical floating staff appeared in front of him.
The staffs power activated, and a flaming meteor appeared high above the clouds, and started falling towards the dragon, and battle field below. The samurai, and dog didn’t want to get caught standing around, waiting for their enemies unknown retaliation. Instead they each took evasive movements in opposite directions, not wanting to both get caught by the same attack.

Calm in the face of the great dragon above them, Sparks and Lucky readied themselves for battle. The Dragon circled in the air above the cave, watching the pair with glowing eyes, and as the returning force wave from Sparks just barely managed to wash over him, the rumble that was his breathing became a crackling snort as one of his foreclaws combed through his long beard and curled briefly in a trailing whisker. The voice in Sparks' head returned, no less of a bellow, but slightly... only slightly... less feral now.
“At least you are not afraid. Hmph. Come Then! I will break you body and spirit!” Along with the words, the Dragon's mouth opened with another sparking plume as it roared, then twisted in the air and began to drop towards the two in an undulating dive. As he did, however, Sparks was already setting up his anti-air precautions, and used the summoned staff to pull a flaming meteor towards the mountain top. It streaked down through the air, but as it passed the Dragon, the great sinuous beast coiled out of the way, letting the rock strike down to the ground with heated impact. If it was any consolation to Sparks, however, the dragon had avoided the assault, rather than simply ignoring it.
It twisted down to perch briefly on a rocky crag at the edge of the mountain, looking down over Sparks and Lucky, then opened its jaws one more time, up closer this time, and a wave of crackling lightning rolled out from its maw in a dancing storm of forking electricity. Sparks and Lucky both managed to leap back and to the sides, avoiding the potent breath weapon, but it was near enough to give both a hair-raising experience – there was power in that breath, and not an insignificant amount of it. As they dodged away, Raijin leap up again, taking back to the air and beginning to circle them once more, looking down. Above, the already darkening clouds gathered thicker began to block out the first beginnings of the sunset. The old woman had suggested he should finish his climb before nightfall... but was fighting the dragon part of that? Thunder rumbled.
“Land-Bound Mortal Wretches. You may be fearless, but to challenge me is only foolish!” The voice roared in Sparks' head again, and as it did a crack of lightning split the storm clouds, slamming down to the ground just a few feet from Sparks – if it had been intended to smite him where he stood, apparently the beast had missed, and created only a small smoking crater.
