A long night in Toronto....

Unfortunately for Keena, the signal did not cut off. She did, however, notice she was holding a handful of copper dust.

"guess i was wrong...The heck is this stuff then?" Keena said, examining the dust with a quizzical look.
"Is it just because you have that control cloak thing? Hmmm... Oh! let's test something." Liz pulled out her phone excitedly, and did a ping of the wireless signals available. She was curious if her PC could pick it up because of Keena, if it was public now, or because the computer connected to it.

Keena examined the handful of copper metal dust in her hand (and that's what it was) as Elizabeth confirmed that her phone could also pick up the signal.

"Hmmm so the things gone global. Guess I'll have to try and turn it off for now." Liz didnt want just anyone messing with this thing, especially with some secret master lurking about. She tried to power down the device, if that didnt work then at least have it in sleep mode and locked.
"At least now i know the company this tab belongs to... ZaneTech, huh?" As the words left her mouth, she attempted to look them up. Of course she also tried to recall anything she may have heard about them already but it was kinda late so she wasn't expecting much.

The tablet went into sleep mode when Elizabeth hit the power switch.
After that, she attempted to look up ZaneTech. No results returned that seemed to have much to do with it. Lots of results of Zane and Tech, and some unrelated matches from a jumble of the letters that made the two up, but nothing definitively ZaneTech came up as any form of company, corporation, organization, or unofficial group. ZaneTech was not the name of the manufacturer, that's for certain.

Liz felt a little defeated not being able to find anything on that name. Seeing as that probably wasn't the company name, see had no more leads to go on.
"Well, I guess I'll wait a bit for now. Maybe get some rest and we can take a fresh start on this later. " She let out another sigh as the long night was fully catching up to her.

Cassidy and Daniel are walking (and talking) down the hall towards the waiting room where one Detective Kale and a young woman are both currently passed out.

"So let's see. We're going to meet with..." Cassidy trailed off.
"Lieutenant Kale Barrett. He was shot two times, presumably in the same incident involving Adrian, bringing up his sheet now." Mneme finished, projecting the file into the air. Cassidy nodded, bringing the information of his injuries up to the forefront.
"Hm. Veteran. Okay. Probably needs a psychologist. So much wrong with police procedure unavoidable can't do much about it. Moving on. Oh yes, Mister Shields, we'll be apparently going to address this Detective before you can go. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope you don't mind terribly." Cassidy's smile retained its beatific countenance as she reached a hand out to pat the disgruntled cybertechnician on the shoulder.

Somehow, at this point, Daniel actually cracked a small smile, albeit a very crooked one. Sleep deprivation was pretty nice.
"So... why am I coming along again?" he murmured, still lopsidedly grinning with a bleary look. To his memory, he probably already asked this twice while they were walking, though he felt compelled to annoy Cassidy in some manner for keeping him away from his bed.

"Oh, I'm not actually entirely sure on as to why you're coming along, no worries about that. Hopefully, there's a good reason. Doubt it. Not too much other than a vague link at best. Hm. Good point. Should tell him that when you see him. Ask for lawyer, maybe? Could be doing work right now. Me, not you." Cassidy paused, then continued her spiel of data. "Apologies for unclear statement. Or could be sleeping. Applies to both." Cassidy stepped forward, canceling the document with a swipe of her hand, opening the door to the waiting room, Mneme validating her identity.

Liz mumbled a bit in her sleep, turning in the chair slightly as she began to feel a bit uncomfortable. She tossed once more, unable to find the sweet spot of the chair, eventually resulting in her eyes finally opening. A long drawn out yawn followed as her eyes lazily looked around her, sitting back in her chair failing to get comfy.
"mmmmm... bleh. Morning already... So tired." She whined half concious.

Kale's phone beeped at him urgently, which eventually caused him to wake up, albeit reluctantly. He looked... tired did not quite describe it as the man looked up, realized the doctor he'd been waiting for had arrived, and began to stand up. He winced as he realized the meds he'd taken four hours ago had worn off, but he managed to stand up without so much as a complaint. "Dr. Adler, I presume," the detective said in the general direction of the pair that entered the room.

"Lieutenant Barrett." Cassidy inclined her head slightly. "You don't look well. You should be resting in one of our beds. No matter how much we can fix in a day, it won't stay that way if you're on the warpath."
She waved toward the man slightly behind her. "This is Daniel Shields, he provided the implants for Adrian Rogers Tremblay."

Daniel winced at the full name. Could it get any more androgynous?
"G'mornin', officer."

Liz slowly rose from her seat, almost moving completely on instinct. She didn't acknowledge the others around her, she just moved towards the vending machines once more. She fumbled around a bit looking for her method of payment, before selecting two of the drink with the most caffeine she could choose.
Sweet nectar of the gods in hand, she returned to her seat zombified, before cracking into one and immediately chugging it as fast as she could.

Kale went from a patient expression on his face to slightly confused when Cassidy said something about him being on the warpath. That's a new one on me. I'm just doing my job, keeping my witnesses alive. He nodded to Daniel. "Thank you Mr. Shields, but you look like you need that thing called sleep.... Go home." Kale then turned his attention back to Cassidy. "Dr. Adler, how his Mr. Tremblay doing?"

"He's in stable condition, and asleep right now. His implant was fried, it was a hack job and you can quote me on that if you like. Whoever put that in was just asking for an accident to happen and should be sued for negligence. I'd also like to personally throw what remains of the implant at them, if you can arrange that, that would be wonderful." Cassidy paused.
"You aren't thinking of interrogating him right now, are you? He may be your lead in this, but he's at a very sensitive juncture. He needs at least a full night's rest before questioning, then familiarizing with his new implants. This isn't a facial or a boob-job. His central nervous system was submitted to what appears to be electric shock, which fried his prior implant, which didn't have any protection against that. Adrian Rogers Tremblay may require rehabilitation after what occurred to him." Her expression was now irritated, a shift from amicable.

For a moment, Daniel stared at Detective Barrett blankly for a while, then exhaled loudly. Finally.
"Well, all right, then," he said, as he let himself out the door with his hands up in the air. It took everything for him not to pump his fist in the air afterwards.

Liz just continued to polish of the contents of the first can. No one was bothering her, so she was just going to continue to keep to herself as she regained her energy, albeit artificially. Who was going to tell her she was wrong to do so, after all? The girl needed her brain power for the things she had planned.

Kale shrugged. "Sure. I'll mention it to the Chief." He didn't really care, but if it was a quack job, better to shut that sort of thing down. Mayflower would remind him sometime later, when he wasn't dead on his feet. As for his witness.... "No, I don't need to see him about what he saw right this minute. Or even today. Not if it means he can;t take the witness stand because I slowed down his recovery in my own haste... which is just unnecessary cop drama crap people think up anyway. Let him sleep." Kale yawned. "I can't leave, though. For whatever reason, nobody has been sent to relieve me yet, so I've been keeping this lively young woman..." the sarcasm in Kale's voice was as evident as the irony it presented as he indicated the zombified Elizabeth "...company for her own safety, and Adrian's. Sadly, I cannot be in two places at once, and the people out there last night meant business." Kale was clearly profoundly unhappy as he finished speaking. It was clear he wanted to send everyone home, and go home himself, but dared not.
