And don't worry about your mental image; I usually don't pay any attention to what people look like on the board anyway. What I really see is more a fusion of avatar and persona.

Interesting thing-- in Japan, there aren't gun clubs, so in Hawaii they have these incredibly expensive places where you can shoot one of *their* guns. Apparently they're popular with tourists. They aren't allowed to have machine guns, though, so the scariest gun you can shoot is a .44 magnum, or a .45 if you prefer. I've fired a 9mm with them. Much more fun than a .22. I have little doubt that a .44 would rip my arms off.

XD I have a lazier idea.
Go out and buy one. They're easy to find; just check all the emo/goth/alternative clothing stores you can lay hands on.
It's a Peter Grimm fedora, if that helps. I've found many different varieties, ranging from leopard-print to whatever you call it when varying colors of yarn are layered onto the hat.
An animal-print fedora would suit you, I think. XD
