Supah, SMAAAAAAAASH Brothuuuuurs!

I don't have everyone unlocked...we are doing it in story mode and we are probably around 50% finished.

As I have learned, Peach has become much more of a powerful character. I luuuuv making her kick things...everything goes flyin!

Also, at first my brother thought solid snake was a stupid idea to stuff in...until we started playing him. He then said "OMG! I'm going to play him more often! Look at him! He's like a secret agent guy!"
I'm pretty far into SSE. I'm stuck in the stupid maze, though.

I've learned that by far the easiest way to unlock the characters is in SSE. I'm at 31/35, and I've only got the dang thing this afternoon. I still need Sonic, Jigglypuff(?), Wolf, and Toon Link. I thought I heard that you run into everyone in SSE, so I'm not too worried.

I've also done the first 20 Single Event Matches (All difficulties), completed Target Test 1 and 2, and already smacked Mr. Sandbag 1,200 feet.

I'm enjoying myself.
*sighs*

Quite honestly, I've unlocked no one. I haven't played it every since I've gotten it.

It doesn't feel right since I'm still stuck in someone else's house and I can't play it within the comfort of my own home.
I'm in the Kirby Subspace level in SSE, and I've unlocked almost everyone.

Also- I barely got into my 64-man tournament. They told us it STARTED at midnight, and we get there, 9:15-- and it's already going. My cousin couldn't get into his tournament which was just across the way because he was 'too late for role call'. So he didn't get to play. I got into mine by luck because some nice guy gave me his spot. Right after I won he came up to me and I thanked him again for the spot, and he's like 'Hey, at least someone did something with it.'

-Twi
*Winces and then picks up the "Dictionary of Twi" and points to the word "Nice."*

I'll be damned, it's there. (J/K)

Anyway, I barely made it myself. The slots where I was placed in was 28th. I didn't think getting a New charrie was all that good since I had no experience with them so I picked one I'm fund of being Yoshi. My strategy would've worked if I knew how to use the Wii Mote for SSBB and the control was more difficult, so Flutter Jump which is usually no problem was a bitch. I won first round, but when it came to second I was against Meta Knight. My first impression...

"I can't believe this guy can deal up to near twenty slices by the time I finish THIS sentence."
Naaah. Metaknight is basically 'Spam spam spam'.

Also, I was right. Falco does play exactly like Fox but with a slower, blue blaster and a thrown Reflector. DX

-Twi

(PS: I demand moar friend codes! MOAAAAAR!)
Yeah, I'm already past that part, Twi. You're pretty close to where I'm stuck at.

I was pretty disappointed in DeDeDe. I feel he's too slow, and doesn't pack the punch to warrant it. He has some decent recovery for such a big guy, though.

Ike was okay, but I'm finding myself preferring Marth over him. That's saying something considering I hated Marth in Melee, I stuck with Roy. I will admit that Ike takes on Roy's crowd chant splendidly. (We Like Ike! Roy's Our Boy!)

Let's see, what else... Oh, Pit. I REALLY like Pit. I hadn't considered him much when I was getting pumped up, but I was like, 'What the hell?' and tried him, and loved it.

Let's see, other new characters... Olimar sucks, Meta Knight is cheap, Diddy pissed me of with his lame attacks and incessant howling, Zero Suit Samus was pretty much Sheik, and Pokemon Trainer is average. Lucas is the same as Ness, which is to say, way to hard for me to bother playing correctly.
Idunno, Steve. I kind of like Pokemon Trainer. Granted, Ivysaur and Charizard both stink, but Squirtle's actually decently powerful. I always chose him over Lucas, given the chance.

But yeah, my main four have turned into: Kirby, Ness, Pikachu, Mario. In that order. It's pretty fun, because I upped Pikachu's lauching power with a sticker. Thunderbolt+LauchPower+Enemy's-Already-Pretty-High-Up=Sweet KO.

My overall impression:
Overrated.

Best Characters:
-Cap'n Falcon
-Samus
-Snaaaaake!
-Meta Knight

Fave Stage:
-Pictochat =D

Unlocked for Zero:
-Lucario
-Luigi
-Big Blue
Ehehe. ^^
It's fun, but ... it still feels like I've done it hundreds of times and that the characters need more moves.
Plus, some moves like Falco's A-attack are fucking unstoppable.
Yeah, I'm not too far into the SubSpace Emmisary, but I've unlocked around 6 characters.

My most porwerful (In order):
1. Lucario
2. Mario
3. Luigi
4. MetaKnight

Favorite Stage: Dunno, but I like to stick with the basics.
Lucky bastards... with your Wiis...

I'm too poor to own one. *sigh*

One question though. Why did they give Falco, Fox and Wolf the same Final Smash?

And what would happen IF(which completely negates all "IT CANT HAPPEN!"s)Fox and Wolf or some other combination of the Starfox bunch all got Landmasters? That would be soooo cool.
Because they're clones.

And IF it could happen, (Which, as you say, it can't.) I would guess that they would all clip each other, and push one or two of them off of the screen. That's it, because the cannons wouldn't do jack against them, cuz they're invulnerable, and they couldn't ram each other, because they can't be moved by anything but terrain.
And now lets all take a moment to imagine how cool that would be, shall we?

And even if they are clones, Nintendo can get off their lazy arses to do ONE more final smash!

Wolf doesn't even HAVE a Landmaster!
I think nintendo is still mad at sega...

sonic is the last char unlocked by subspace story line, he shows up for the last boss...

also, has anyone tried the down taunt trick for fox/falco/wolf on their levels? the same thing happenes that happens in melee, but everyone is on the radio...
There's a major problem with Pokemon Trainer if you use just one character, PA. Each one has a set amount of stamina, so the longer it goes continuously fighting, the weaker it gets. Its a pain, but to use him effectively you have to switch Pokemon.

One character that bugs the hell out of me is Samus. I really would like it if she were like Zelda and could just switch between forms whenever. It sure is a pain not being able to just choose ZS Samus, since I think you need to beat Classic mode with that form separately to get both trophies. You'd need to loiter just to get a Smash Ball.... what a pain.

An interesting comment on the Nintendo hating Sega thing. First off, making Sonic the last one unlocked through the main story actually makes him look like one of the coolest ones there, especially after the cutscene they give him. Second, I heard a rumor that the reason they didn't have Megaman in the game was because Nintendo was actually still mad at Capcom. Of course, that was hearsay. Plus, since its produced by Hal Labrotories and not straight out Nintendo, I'm not sure how much grudges would actually play into things.
True, true. The stamina thing is annoying, but my battles usually finish quickly enough for it not to make that much of a difference.

Seriously. I either kick butt, or get my butt kicked. There's not much middle ground.

Also, Samus CAN switch at any time. v ^ v (down, up, down) on the control pad switches to Zero suit. No smash ball necessary. Unless, of course, you want to switch back to regular Samus. Then, you need a smash ball.
That's what Smash Dojo says, but for some reason, using the Taunt button like that doesn't seem to work for me. In any case, it still complicates things for those how like regular Samus. The only way for them to keep their suit during the Final Smash would be to change out immediately before using it to gain it back right away. Of course, if you fumble the ball while trying to do that and cant play well as ZS Samus, you're pretty much SOL. In any case, I'll try that combo again tonight and hopefully it works.
I don't know what button it is on the other control styles, but holding down L while the stage is loading will start you as Zamus, kinda like the Sheik thing from Melee.

Honestly, I think it would have been awesome if they never said anything on the Dojo or ANYthing about Sonic, then, at the end of the story line, it's like, ZOMG!

I honestly expected that they were saving a third 3rd party character (Read: Megaman) for just that reason.

And, while I'm here, how the HELL do you unlock Jigglypuff? I checked online, and it says either SSE, Event Match 20, or beat Classic Mode. I've beat Classic mode TEN times, and beaten Event 20 FIVE times, and no challenge at all.
Okay, so far, I've beaten SubSpace, and I have to say, one thing I had to check out the classic game demos.

Yes! Star Fox 64 is on there! Goodness gracious! I loved that game!

Anyway, I've also found out my top four characters to use.

1. Lucario
2. Sonic
3. PKMN Trainer
4. Pikachu

...oddly enough, by the time I made it to the last battle, I realized that I had a party of pokemon! lol! I still won though. Lucario's speed was an excellent and a life saver.
Actually, when you think about it, Lucario is not very fast at all. Only his Up-B and Down-B involve any speed, the rest are nice, steady, strong attacks.
