Seeing his aims, the Pulsebat swooped in, putting itself between Drago and the throne below, flapping and shrieking in an aggressive manner as it hammered him with its sonic bursts. Despite the extra power the attack held, it was still only enough to strip off the outer most layer of Drago's protections. While the girls followed suit, warping into position for their own attacks, the armadil turned about, looking up at them and shuffling in the mud, stepping back and to the side a little as it sighted the largest target in the sky. What was it planning?
Whatever the larger virus was thinking, Drago was focused on taking out the leader, and released his magnum shot down at the field below. The battlement was obliterated and the king's throne was destroyed, whoever, when the smoke cleared, the crown-bearing virus was wriggling further into the mud, seemingly having dodged the blast.
Elsewhere, Aya, Suzume and Magistrate had arrived in an aggressive triangle formation around the hovering virus and its Gloomer passenger. The two viruses tried to respond as quickly as they could, with one swinging its boomerang around at the trio while the other shot a three-way energy blast at them. Between the two sweeping attacks, the pair of viruses managed to connect with each program once only, breaking through their first lines of defence, but no more. A moment later, a swift counter attack from the trio cleaved through the viruses from multiple angles and sent them both crashing down into the mud, broken and destroyed.
Drago still had his eyes on the king virus as it squirmed below, but just as it seemed about to try something, a blur of movement from his periphery alerted the hunter to a different danger. The Armadil had gathered itself, then launched upwards like a cannon ball, streaking through the air at him. Between Drago's own mobility and its fast, but ungainly, assault, the creature missed and splattered back down into the mud on the other side of the pit. When Drago looked back towards the centre, however, the king virus was nowhere to be seen – it looked as though it might have burrowed under the mud somewhere.
Bursting out of the mud a moment later came something more unexpected – not the muckfeesh at all, but rather, a battered-looking Gloomer, and a somewhat damaged-seeming Crazy-razy. It seemed the two weren't down for the count just yet.
