Rampaging about

Beaming across the networks into Scilab's main area, despite the decrepit looking area he had landed in, he seemed to have found a rough patch of network to fight in. Away from the general population, Asymptote began to lumber forwards into the net, feeling...a little more limber than normal.

(Battle 1, 230 HP, Billy bounty)
Roving the network and eager to test out his newfound capabilities, it didn't take Asymptote long to lumber into a fairly high-tech-looking area, and spy a green data crystal, in the centre of some kind of lightning rod array, and equally surrounded by viruses.

The crystal itself was on a broad circle of glowing solar panels, with were in turn circled by a thick ring of metal. four tall electrical pylons were positioned on the metal ring, at cardinal points around the data crystal. A magneaker had taken up residence, resting on one part of the metal ring, while a billy, just like he'd been sent to seek, was examining one of the pylons. Towards the back, a large cube hovered, blinking from blue to red and back again. A little further out, a catack had also taken an interest and was trundling in, passing by a fixed turret that came online as well, as it did. The pillars sparked and crackled briefly, sending small arcs of electricity between them, and Asymptote began to hear the sounds of more viruses approaching from many sides.

MagneakerMagneaker (Magneaker)

Magneaker viruses move and dodge slowly. Magneakers attack by launching MagBombs by default. When there is a stunned enemy on the field, however, they will instead charge at the stunned opponent with surprising speed. They are quick to react to the presence of stunned enemies, and execute this attack with very little delay. The DashAttack counts as a dodge against opponents attacking from any angle except dead-on or from directly behind the Magneaker. Magneakers do not charge at un-stunned enemies, unless there is a stunned target in-line with them. Magneakers have Omnishoes while executing a charge attack.

-=Battle 1, Start!=-
Inhaling deeply as he felt his processors begin to go into overdrive, Asymptote would find himself in a field of viruses, electrical pylons...and a GMD situated in front of him behind a virus. The navi thinking as he could feel the presence of other viruses outside of the field of battle, an interesting field layout for his fighting, but at the same time...he wasn't exactly happy with the viruses that had chosen to interrupt him...but all he had to do was delete the viruses before the other ones outside the field could join in, right? Business as usual. Cracking his knuckles as he began to sweep the field, his signature programs would begin to kick into activity.
First a hum of a generator echoing across the field, a green hue covering the monstrous navi's irises as he began to take the whole of the field under consideration. His mind slowed by his transformation, he still could quickly calculate, his feet beginning to shuffle from their position, a flurry of sparks beginning to kick up from his stomps clockwise across the outside of the field, his eyes full of mathematical calculations, arcs and lines showing where to attack from, even as he he moved it quickly course calculated. All the while, the feeling of...air filling the underside of his feet, he could feel himself speeding up, even if it was just slightly as he quickly stomped his way around the outside, maybe to 7 or even 8-o-clock as he made his way onto the electrically charged Solar panels, a slow but steady feeling of energizing power trickling into him.

After he finished moving, his eyes glowed a deep hue of blue, much like the ocean depths as he tapped into another of his electrical abilities. Clapping his hands together, a thunderous echo of lightning and thunder began to roll into the field, dark clouds beginning to send an electrical pulse through themselves as Asymptote grinned a goofy animatronic grin, face sagging at either end to simulate a smile as his feet began to quake and pulse with energy, each slam of his feet sending down a bolt of lightning across the field. A loud crash of lightning sizzling across the field as each bolt from the blue began to overwrite and, indeed, change the field to his liking. Normal panels beginning to take on a metallic sheen with every bolt crashing in rhythm of Asymptote's feet crashing upon the field. Eventually, the clouds began to dissipate from the skies, the blanketing darkness bringing way to shining, newly formed metal panels the monster himself could make use of...of course, he could be struck in turn by the thunderous applause of electrically charged viruses, a small price to pay he figured.

Next came a chip he had requested in the off-time he had between his actions, slotting in a fresh chip, Asymptote began to form a spindly, flexible plugin around his arm. Coursing with the same electrical power he had, the navi took aim with a green hue in his eyes, looking over to the giant Red and Blue cube, Asymptote would fling his arm outwards towards the offending six-sided virus. The coiled plug leaping from his arm like a snake, it began to take flight through the air, rapidly closing upon it's distance between Asymptote and the cube, Asymptote had made a mistake in how the thing flew through the air, it headed towards the GMD instead of his intended target. Thankfully, detecting an object in its path, the cable would begin to shimmer and disappear from the field, a ghostly visage of the cord in its place as it would hopefully harmlessly pass through the GMD and instead turn tangible right in time for the virus to take the cable's electrical punishment.

Turning to the Magneker nearby, Asymptote stomped forwards off the energizing solar panels, his body tumbling through the air as he kicked away from his potion rather rapidly, an attempt to evade being hit by the viruses as he attempted to close the gap between him and the grasshopper looking virus. His fists beginning to engorge with data, Asymptote downloaded another chip, his old standby, the Gutpunch. Getting back to his feet after his silly attempt at dodging the viruses attacks, Asymptote would begin to rush towards the virus, fist clenched around the other as he moved, closing the gap between him and the virus, and brought his fists down upon the virus like a massive ten-fingered hammer, a blast of air erupting from where he had struck, denting the panel beneath his attack and hopefully he had caught the grasshopper beneath it, squishing it like the bug it was to him.

Finally, turning towards the Catack, a virus he was VERY familiar with after his run with Vigil, Asymptote opened his massive maw. Teeth glistening with electrical energy as he began to charge, a ball of static cling and thousands of volts of electricity forming and like a hairball to a cat, Asymptote coughed outwards a small ball of electrical power. Crackling and hissing as it traveled across the field like a meandering virus, Asymptote lead it towards the tank-bound virus, slowly but surely the hissing ball traveling across the field towards its prey, attempting to deliver a shocking end to it.

With viruses on the field and more on the way, Asymptote started to assess his situation even as the alerted foes started to act. The magneaker and the billy both launched attacks towards him as Asymptote took off, arcing towards the centre of the area. The stunning blast from the bug virus exploded behind him, but the tracking energy ball from the billy curved as it flew and struck Asynmptote in the side even as he reached the solar panels. A discordant series of jolts began to react through his systems as the attack dissipated.

While the mathematician called down a storm to convert the outer field, the catack lobbed a wide-ranging bomb of its own, but the shell exploded mid air above him, hitting nothing. The brief distraction belied a more accurate crack-shot from the cannon turret, however, which punched into Asymptote's bulky frame with precision. It was somewhat mitigated by the continuing glow of energy feeding back into the behemoth from the solar panels beneath his feet, though not entirely.

Next, Asymptote focused on the floating cube just beyond the data crystal; it shot first, lancing a red laser beam in his direction, though the bar of light was just a hair wide and didn't connect. Asymptote's phasing electrical attack was much more true to aim, and as the light passed harmlessly through the crystal in a direct line towards its real target, the cube was scourged from the network before it could do any more harm.

Just as Asymptote cleaned up that particular problem, however, a crackling electrical pulse exploded over his back and side, sending more disruptive jolts into his body; the magneaker had taken another shot and this time managed to connect; fortunately for the navi, the rippling static wave didn't seem to strike or damage the nearby mystery data, though only by the chance of gaps in the spreading effect.

Asymptote darted forward and slammed the offending bug off the network with a single solid strike, but even as he recovered from the extension, another ball of electrical energy thumped into him as the Billy continued to make itself a hassle. The sound of another blast followed, and a second later an new shell from the catack on the outside landed between Asymptote and the mystery data, and exploded across them both. The solar panels beneath his feet sparked and crackled out, laced with spiderweb cracks and fractures; under his weight, they began to feel dangerously unstable now ,and no longer fed him sustaining energy.

Asymptote countered with a buffed up hairball of electricity which, despite its slower transit, still managed to find its mark on the even slower catack, the force of it arcing down through the ground beneath the virus and destroying it.

Somewhere in the melee, the cannon had also tried to fire at him again, but fortunately its second shot had managed to miss him. Asymptote had more to worry about, however, as his position grew steadily more inundated. A second cannon turret rose up from the ground, opposite the first, behind the centre that Asymptote had occupied, while a second magneaker crept in from one side. A heavy metal clanking to the other side announced a hatch opening, to admit a slow-moving IronShield as well. As soon as it set itself on the battle field, the virus locked itself into place and lowered its shield, ready for a fight. If that weren't enough of a problem, the build of of discordant electrical currents crashing through Asymptote were beginning to take a toll on his systems, and as he extra speed faded away, he found himself stunned and disoriented to an almost crippling degree.

-=Turn 2=-
As Asymptote began the fight, everything basically went to pot for him almost immediately. He had taken hit after hit by the viruses that had assailed his gargantuan form, some missed, thankfully, but in the same breath...the ones that DID hit him did so in a way that crippled his fighting abilities. Pins and needles sticking to him en masse as he finished his own assault upon the viruses, his own body beginning to lock up, forcing his already slow pace to become glacial...if not completely halted in his tracks.
His body crackling and twitching with the energy that clung to him like nothing else, Asymptote let out an agitated, almost angry growl under his breath, the navi's body refusing to move regardless of his attempts. Rrrrrr...let...me move... He growled under his breath, electrical jolts continuing to jump all up and down his body, generator stuttering, sputtering out as it attempted to start back up. Move...Mooooooooove the navi cried out again under his breath, his body continuing to twitch visibly, his head turning to finally take notice of the new viruses that had come up from the ground, with a brand new Cannonguard staring right at him, gun pointed right at the navi's body. More jerking, stuttering and sputtering as the navi attempted to get away from the spot he was glued to, feet slowly beginning to raise up above the broken paneling he was standing above, the navi regaining faint movement and feeling in his body...but it wasn't enough...he couldn't evade like this. His growls growing in intensity, the navi let out a bellowing roar of defiance against his own body. I WILL MOVE, REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU THINK BODY! YOU VIRUSES, ALL OF YOU WILL FUCKING DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE! The navi finally roared, all feeling finally coming back, the jolts of electricity finally flying away from him as air compressed itself around his body, his feet finally stomping down on the ground with thunderous explosion of energy.

Making his movement, the navi dove forwards, headed towards the north of the field where the GMD had been laying in wait for him to claim for his own, Asymptote producing an electrical energy around his fists as he traveled to the north, attempting to evade attack and hide behind the pylon that he had ignored up to now. He needed cover as he attempted to dive right behind it to use as a defensive measure, the navi's hands crackling with energy, he began to press his hamhocks to his chest, flattening his fingers across his broad muscles and letting out an electrical blast across his entire form. A loud zapping noise across the field as his body began to slowly recover from the battle, sending burn and scar away from his body for a brief moment as he took a very brief breather.

Before long, Asymptote peeked out from behind his cover, seeing how damaged his GMD was from the resulting blast, it barely held together as is. Asymptote quickly took the chance to fortify the GMD, electricity surging from his body as it hopped along the landscape leading towards the cache of data, the navi erected a barrier around the object to prevent future harm from coming to it directly. As the barrier crackled and hissed protectively around it, wires began to wrap around it directly, lines to energize the cache should the barrier be hit.

Requesting a chip, Asymptote quickly downloaded it and with it, his mainstay of picking off viruses. Summoning three bolts of energy from above, the navi would send them surging out from behind his cover, each bolt curving about through the air as he designated targets to each. The bolts of lightning he had unleashed swiftly coming to their targets from above, leaving themselves above in the air above each target, before coming down like lightning bolts, attempting to crash against each virus and fry them alive.

While Asymptote stood stunned and immobile, struggling to regain control of his shuddering form, the surrounding viruses began to take pot shots at him. The new magneaker was fist to charge, dashing across the intervening space with a pointed electrical ram that blew past him to the other side. A moment later, another cannon round thudded into his back form one of the cannons.

The billy and the other cannon both fired shots of their own at the navi, just as Asymptote broke free of the debilitating stun and threw himself to one side, darting for cover behind one of the pylons as his body repaired itself and the panels behind him fell in. The IronShield gave two loud cracks of sound as its mortars launched small gouts of smoke, but nothing seemed to come out. The virus swivelled in place to face Asymptote and raised its shield to present its larger, more powerful main gun instead.

Now that he was no longer locked down, the Magneaker launched a fresh electrical static bomb, but didn't manage to land it anywhere near the defending navi. The two cannons fired again, continuing the barrage of suppressing fire; one connected with Asymptote while he protected the damaged data crystal, while the other shot past him, missing by a fraction.

Asymptote's counter attack came next, removing three of the offending critters in a pronounced surge of electrical energy. The battle wasn't over, though... more were still coming. this time it was a trio of ratty that scurried up out of the broken hole that had formed when Asymptote moved away from the centre.

-=Turn 3=-
Grumbling and twitching as he took his licks from the viruses, the Navi was slow to move, he broke through his Paralysis and managed to evade a number of shots made at him, but he was still on shaky ground, a trio of rat-like viruses had come in, two more Cannonguards as well from earlier. He needed to go and delete them...too bad he also had a pair of thunder balls on his tail. Quickly thinking about the pros and cons of what he was about to do, he figured it was for the best he didn't try to move away...and instead, he would tank the damage. Quickly detaching cables from his body, the Navi would begin to make a makeshift suit of armor to insulate himself from the damage he would take the electrical damage. Slowly as he did so, the casing would begin to connect to his skin, a capacitor beginning to form around the casing he made for himself to send some of the damage he would receive into a healing wave to repair his body.

Requesting one of the bombs they had in their possession, Asymptote would quickly summon the explosive sphere into his gloved hand, moving out of his cover to see the Ratties in full view. The monstrous Navi would bring his arm back behind his body, taking careful aim of where his bomb would fall, before flinging the spherical explosive towards the grouping of Ratties. His bomb soaring through the air rapidly before landing, shrapnel and explosives rocketing outwards from its blast radius, a black sear on the ground from where it hit.

Quickly moving from his position from the top of the field, Asymptote made his way counter-clockwise from his position, his feet carrying his mass across the field quickly to make it towards one of the Cannonguards that had gotten potshots off on his form, the Navi raising his arms up above his head as he did. Alright, take this ya bastard! Hrrrragh! Asymptote shouted out as he brought his fists down upon the virus with little fanfare, his fists sending a reverberating metallic sound out across the field, blasting wind around the point of impact as well as denting the metallic field they fought upon.

Turning back to the other Cannonguard he had to rid the field of, he would quickly move himself another few feet counter-clockwise as he made an attempt to dodge, knowing full well they locked themselves onto their targets before firing. He would point his fists in its direction before long, locking onto the virus in turn before letting out a series of three punches, each fist hanging in the air for a brief moment, spikes emblazoned on the knuckles of each fist, before sending them forwards at the offending virus. Each fist rocketing off swiftly towards the immobile turret, and Asymptote hoped his aim was true as each fist attempted to find purchase in the mechanical cannon.

With frustration mounting, Asymptote decided to go on the full offence, and prepared himself with a casing to handle any further scrapes he took in the process. A sneaky debuff made the first cannon's attempt to fire at his form futile, and though the second cannon made its highly-accurate shot, all it succeeded in doing was wearing down the navi's armour, and causing a flood of revitalising energy to flow back to him as well.

The trio of ratty had pulled into a tight formation and were rearing up to begin launching missiles, but Asymptote had a present for them first. The cracker bomb exploded across all three, but one rat survived the blast to launch its skittering missile back in his direction. It's wild and erratic scurrying flitted past Asymptote the first time, missing him, but it began to make quick, angled turns, threading out an arc on the ground as it came back around.

The two homing thunderballs that had been tracking on the mathematician closed in just as he finished his last attack. Asymptote was mostly ready, and dodged out of the way of the first one, but the second struck him in the side as he re-positioned, sending more discordant jots through his system as the electricity arced down through his casing to the metal panels below, and destroyed the remainder of his armour.

Unfazed, the hulking navi readied his next attack and began moving on the cannon turrets. They each fired again as he close din on one of them; pinpoint accurate, Aysmptote's evasive movements did little to get him away from the two cannon shots, although one of them still had a lingering weakness, removing at least some of the punch from it. Not lacking in punch, was Asymptote's, well, punch, and he swiftly demolished one of the offending turrets, before turning to deliver a trio of long-ranged punches to the other one, removing it from the network just as thoroughly.

There was only one rat left, for a moment, and it seemed like if Asymptote wanted to get the hell out of here and try for another location to explore, it might be a good time. Otherwise, it seemed like the viruses were simply going to keep coming as long as he remained in this small lightning-rod hub. Even as he had a moment to catch his breath, a pair of bunnies poked their heads around some of the structures further out, to his north, and began hopping towards the pylons. A third cannon rose up from the ground on Asymptote's right, in the same rough cardinal layout as the first two. Not much rest, it would seem.

Grumbling under his breath as he took potshot after potshot by the viruses, his casing having managed to absorb a bit of punishment and better than that, he avoided a bit of other punishment on top of that, so better than nothing, right? But he could see an opening to escape from the fight, he didn't want to drag the fight out too much longer, so instead, he intended to escape with the GMD in tow, even if he had to risk it.

Being slotted a Magbolt from his Netop, Asymptote would pull out a rather large magnet from the ether, the navi pointing it towards his shielded cache of data, the navi flicking its internal programming on, the magnet buzzed alive with energy as the magnetic pull began to catch the GMD's data and ever so slowly, pull the cache towards him. He knew he had the two Ratton missiles on his ass, but he could heal up once he got outside of the battlefield. As the GMD began to reach his arm length, Asymptote grappled upon the data cube with one large arm, holding it underneath his shoulder and immediately booking it away from the field of battle.

His stomps loud as he hurried outwards from his current combat area, Asymptote would let out a sigh of contentment, his battle processors soon enough disengaging from the fight, he looked at his hard-earned data cache. The navi closing his eyes in knowing that his luck would likely turn sour before long, he activated the navicustom part Joseph had bought earlier, apparently, it turned mystery data rewards into one of three things? Well, he accessed his Millions program, sending a wave of data through the cube, he hoped he didn't "luck" into another Mimic...not that he couldn't kill it mind.

With no end in sight to this particular battlefield, Asymptote decided he'd had enough for this particular moment, grappled across his well-protected data crystal and made a break for clear space, while cannon shot and trailing missiles followed his tactical relocation. Soon enough, he was in the clear and able to examine the contents of his purloined data crystal. thanks to his own programs, the reward that came out started as a small chip packet, which promptly digitised into a large torrent of raw zenny instead.

CatackCatack (Catack)

Catacks move at a slow rate and their dodges are generally bad. They can, however, attack in any direction while moving or attempting to dodge.

Area: SciLab, Electown, Dentech, Beach, Hades Isle

Letting out a sigh of contentment, Asymptote began to scrape together the zenny for his upgrades. He needed to buy a few other things, but this was a good start, definitely more than what he would have earned in Electown. But regardless, he began to stomp onwards towards another area of Scilabs, be it friend or foe, he would be ready.

(Battle 2, 211 HP, Billy Bounty)
On the prowl for more things to beat to a pulp for upgrades, Asymptote stomped his way through the SciLab nets, making a great deal of noise from his journey. Unfortunately, as he was going through a road, he failed to notice a nearby "Work in Progress" sign. His stomping thus suddenly found him stepping right through the ground, as the floor collapsed from under his feet.

The space under the floor seemed to be a dark cavernous area, with data pipelines glowing under a metallic floor. His landing didn't hurt him much, but the hole he had made was too high up for him to climb up to.

"Oh, crap!" he heard from far above. A NormalNavi with a hardhat peeked in from the hole. "Man, that's what I get for not restricting the area before I started... Sorry! I was patching up this hole to a virus nest! I'll get you out, hang on!" the Navi said, before disappearing off somewhere.

Meanwhile, Asymptote saw some viruses come out from the darkness of the cavern: a pair of Billy leading the front, with a DBLCUBE and Grinner directly behind them. He could hear a few more coming his way as well!

GrinnerGrinner (Grinner)

The Grinner virus possesses a body consisting of only one large solar panel, coated in colored metal with a design like a stoic, robotic face. The color of its body varies according to its strength. (yellow/orange/red/purple/blue/green/black). The virus attacks by opening its "mouth" to reveal its panel, then firing a beam of refracted light towards its enemies. When other solar panels are nearby, its attack will magnify additional light and become even more powerful. The Grinner moves very slowly, but is entirely invulnerable to attacks while its mouth is closed. It has been described jokingly as "the energy efficient Dominerd" due to the similarities between the viruses. The virus itself is electric, but its beam burns like fire, so wood navis need be wary.

-- Battle 2 Ready? Turn 1, Start!! --
Asymptote, oblivious to his surroundings, continued to stomp about the area, seeking more viruses to delete for his bank account for upgrades. Unfortunately, failing a perception check, he just barely missed the sign saying there was work in progress up ahead, his foot immediately going through the ground as he stepped onto it and unable to stop himself, he fell through a rather large hole in the network. What the- FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCK! as he began to fall, the navi soon hitting the ground below hard, ass over head. Hearing a voice above him, he knew where he was...now he was stuck down here for the moment...unfortunately, turning around as he got up, he found himself inundated with viruses...only four, in a bare space at least.

Uuuuuugh...at least I didn't fall beneath the Normal Net...but this is gonna be bad if I can't get out of here before long. Asymptote spoke, rubbing the back of his head, he wasn't damaged too badly, didn't fall too high at least. But he was stuck in a "virus nest" for the foreseeable future...or were the viruses trapped with him? Kinda hard to figure out the logistics of that one. You okay down there? Saw you fall and lost connection with you briefly!I'll live. But we got viruses again. Got to delete them again, and I see there's more in the shadows down here. Send me chips, I'll just have to survive again until I can get outta here.

A sigh coming from Joseph at Asymptote's words, he was unsure wheather he liked Asymptote before this or the fact Asymptote brushed off the threat of viruses with no way to escape. Thinking for a moment, Joseph would slot in two seperate chips for his navi to take advantage of, the MeteorKnuckle and ThunderBeam would do his navi a world of good for now, he needed some way to thin out the numbers, and if this fight was like the last one, three more viruses would show up after a while. He needed to ration out his bigger chips for now, so with a sigh, he slotted them in rapidly for his navi to make use of them.

Closing his eyes, Asymptote would begin to charge up the generator on his back, his wires beginning to couple together as he slowly created a large charge of energy. The hum of his generator slowly growing louder as sparks and flames began to slowly expand from his cables, sparks jumping around his body as slowly a barrier began to erect itself around his body, wires and couplings sticking to his skin as the barrier crackled and sparked about his body, ready to administer a quick shock to revitalize Asymptote. Right afterwards, Asymptote began to charge up his body, his generator screeching out as more and more energy entered his body, crackles of thunder leaping off his form as he began to redirect energy. Form quivering, twitching as he turned to the three viruses that weren't protected by any sort of metallic surface, his hand outstretched and fingers spread apart, bolts of lightning coursed across the digits for a brief moment...until a crack of lighting sounded out, the monstrous behemoth sending a trio of bolts from his fingertips, each bolt flying off and curving about in the air briefly before attempting to strike each foe individually, the all seeing behemoth seeing to that fact.

Turning his body back around from the trio of viruses he attempted to incinerate, his feet quaking as he made an attempt to evade his foes attacks, kicking off the floor to send his gargantuan body flying in whatever direction he saw fit to try and prevent himself from being struck, his landing causing the caves he had fallen into, a light quake emanating from this. And soon, he found himself turning towards the shielded virus, his fists ready to strangle and destroy the flying solar panel, but...he needed to make sure...eyes slowly picking apart the Grinner's movements, datalines and graphs expanding around the area to try and find the best way to attack...before long, Asymptote nodded at himself, he was almost sure he had picked apart the virus' patterns and behaviors.

Loading up his other chip, Asymptote would kneel down in front of the virus upon the cold metallic surface, eyes darting back and forth as he held out one arm, bracing it with his other like a gun. Fist clenched, Asymptote took aim at the virus, a brief flash of energy engulfing his fist as he readied himself. Downloading...and... He muttered under his breath, his fist slowly widening, spikes growing from his knuckles as he did so, a brief crunching sound as he loaded up the chip data, wrist growing a line across itself as he gave the Grinner a toothy grin of his own. Fire. With that single word, Asymptote's fist fired off from his wrist with a blazing explosion, fire trailing behind the weaponized fist as it blazed a trail across the panels, swiftly moving towards its intended target. A swift uppercut being dealt toward the unmoving virus' face, swinging back around the rocket powered fist attempting to then smash across the face with renewed vigor before looping upwards into the air with a devastating, crushing blow from above, attempting to delete the virus in a manner befitting its owner. The fist dissipating for a moment before finally returning to Asymptote's arm, the navi giving the fist an appraising look and movement back and forth before flexing his fingers for a moment.

Finally, with one long inhale, the navi's chest ballooned outwards. His body taking in the stress of fighting before finally letting out a long, spark filled exhale. His body quivering briefly as he got himself back together for a brief moment, and with renewed vigor, felt one of his processors swiftly clearing up, seemingly able to create another barrier if he so wished, after he had a moment to reset its protocols.

Being dropped into the virus nest, Asymptote went about trying to survive the drop by producing an electrical barrier around himself from his generator. Both of the Billy viruses began charging their Thunderballs, and fired them off, just as Asymptote fired a triple lightning bolt attack against three of the viruses. All of the bolts landed, and roasted them into a black crisp against the metallic flooring. The Grinner was left alone on the field, floating all by its lonesome. Its solar panel body split up with a hiss, and its mouth opened slightly, before a shining beam burst forth from the gap towards him. Oddly enough, the concentrated beam went far off from Asymptote's hulking body, and simply fired off into the darkness. With his enemy's attack voided, Asymptote's fist flew, quite literally, into the Grinner's face. Its first strike unfortunately went slightly wide, but the second and third attacks landed successfully, cracking the virus's body significantly, but not quite deleting it yet. His body then started to cool down just as a few more viruses entered his field of vision. The whir and rumble of a pair of Catack tanks, paired with the low hum from a red UFO heralded the new entrances, lined up directly behind the Grinner.

ColorUFOs are able to temporarily steal chip data from their enemy, preventing the use of that battlechip until the end of the battle. ColorUFOs only attack once per turn, maximum, and spend the rest of the turn dodging. This attack is guaranteed to hit unless the target dodges when they attempt their attack, meaning it can be evaded with luck. The attack ignores every form of defence, including any form of stealth. ColorUFOs move and dodge at slightly better than average rates. They are capable of full flight. -- Turn 2, Start!! --
Shaking off the attacks without a blink, Asymptote had evaded the salvo of attacks he had been targeted with for this moment and for the most part, got everything dead that he wanted to...for the most part, he overestimated his rocket punch for the most part, so he needed to work on that he figured, though he shrugged all the same. His next quarry were approaching him, but...a tactical blunder on their part. They seemed to all be lined up, one after another in a rough approximation of a straight line, he could take advantage of this in more than one way.

Standing his ground as he would take aim at the viruses, slowly stomping to the side slowly as he began to line the viruses up as best he could, knowing full well they weren't going to be able to dodge as easily as most viruses, the Cattacks especially on the coattails of the Grinner were really terrible at that. Send me DollThunder, Joseph. And maybe the GunDelSol.Any reason for the Gun?Because, it has defense breaking properties. Asymptote and Joseph spoke back and forth, Joseph clicking away at his PET as he slotted in the requested chips, helping his navi line up the targets as Asymptote received his data a moment later. Looking up to the side of the Grinner, he caught notice of the RedUFO before long, analyzing it briefly he could see it clear as day, his chip data in danger of being stolen from him before he could use it, the hulking behemoth of a navi would make a cautious movement as he would use his massive legs to force his mammoth body back a few feet, sending him briefly into the air before making a crashing stomp onto the metallic panels beneath his feet, enough for a chance to fake out the UFO if it tried to rush him and attempt it's theavery of his attacks.

Quickly, Asymptote would access his purchased and pilfered data, the navi feeling a rush of adrenaline as he could feel the stinging electrical charge of a Scarecrow, lightning striking the behemoth and sending an ever stronger charge to his body, generator letting out an almost blood-curdling screech as it overclocked. His body twitching almost erratically from the sudden charge, his arms held outwards as a quartet of cables began to stretch outwards in front of him, writhing, shocking wires hissing in unison as Asymptote began to direct the excess energy. PET off the charts as Asymptote calmly, simply, created a bolt of lighting, firing off the hissing, shrieking charge of lighting off in front of him, the spear of electrical energy swiftly firing off through the virus ranks, each virus in front of him having a chance of being pierced through and fried in an instant.

Quickly following up with his potential plan, Asymptote would rush forward, feet stomping down with an echo of metal on metal as he quickly rushed the Grinner (provided it was still alive after his last attack), the navi outstretching his hands, a second pulse of energy beginning to fill his body. As soon as he finished making his move, the navi inhaled deeply, body superheating itself as he channeled his energy from his body towards the very tips of his fingers. His body quaking as he began to unleash an almost elderech looking blast of energy directly in front of him and to either side, a blast of concentrated darkness that illuminated the area around him, panels almost coated in an inky blackness as it slowly but surely began to increase in strength, intensity growing as he held his position.

Cooled Head (1)
With more viruses incoming, and no sign of any helpful rescue yet, Asymptote was left to deal with more denizens of this viral nest he'd tumbled into. As they came at him from the darkness, the two catacks lobbed explosives in his direction, beginning to peel out to the sides in either direction, but the tactically-minded hulk navi moved to compensate, and acted to quickly blast the line before they could fan out properly. The explosive shells failed to connect, but as Asymptote prepared to zap them, the ufo swung down in a swift effort to steal the data from him. Asymptote was ready for this, however, and jumped back, avoiding the data beam and landing in just the right point to catch the suddenly vulnerable spacecraft in his line a well. The grinner closed its face and sealed up tight just as the blistering lightning bolt shot through the assembled viruses, toasting all but the metal-plated one.

Debuffed to ineffectiveness, the Grinner was mostly concerned with keeping its impervious body sealed up until abetter moment came along, but that wasn't going to save it from the navi's destructive beam fingers. In a matter of moments, the virus disintegrated, and Asymptote was left channelling an increasingly devastating cont of light and power before him.

From out of the darkness, more shapes emerged. It looked like progs at first; maybe the rescue team was finally here? A moment alter, however, he began to notice problems. All three of the progs were critically damaged, with wild expressions and missing limbs. They cracked and sparked as they rushed towards him, their remaining arms upraised or outstretched.

-=Turn 3!=-
Finishing his murder of the Grinner, the navi left his arms down, he could faintly feel the gundelsol data within himself, but he would let it go before long, letting out a sigh. He should be almost ready to get out of here...and then come the progs...of course there are viral programs, why wouldn't there be? Cracking his neck as he began to run his calculations, generator charging as his eyes began to take on a blue hue, his world bathed in calculations, equations and a healthy dose of caffeinated energy as his body began to overclock, upgrade and run calculations at a higher speed than ever before. His first thought was to evade getting between the programs, winding the muscles in his legs up, crouching briefly, Asymptote began to rush forward, arms pumping along his sides as he sprinted, stomping along the way to get to a better tactical position before the infected programs could encroach upon his territory.

Quickly, Asymptote rambled off a bevy of chips for his operator to slot into the PET for his use. A bomb, a weapon of corn and an ever useful high powered cannon to chip away the viruses so he could escape in a few moments. Quickly accessing his newly slotted in weaponry, Asymptote was quick to produce a small firearm, a rundown, rusted model of single-shot pistol began to curve around his hand as he summoned the data from the chip. His eyes quick to keep up the calculations, lines and data being fed into his every sense, lines and graphs helping to aim his weapon for desired effect, Asymptote looked down the sights of his rutted and worn out pistol, lining up his shot towards one of the progs and pulling the trigger. A kernel of corn firing out almost immediately upon the trigger squeeze with a satisfying "FOOMP" sound like a grenade launcher, Asymptote's weaponized kernel of corn flew through the air rapidly before exploding upon whatever it may have hit, be it virus or floor, he was hoping the former rather than the latter. Upon its impact, a bright explosion would rocket through the darkened tunnels beneath the main intersection, through the explosion another shot fired out, spit from the explosion a second would ring out shortly after the first, hopefully upon a virus as Aymptote would have hopefully predicted it would land, but he couldn't fully control it sadly.

Quick to move again, Asymptote would make a slight, if swift movement around the left in a slightly semicircle way to help him lineup his next shot before long, hoping that this movement would be enough to trick a virus into missing his body and waste their time, despite all the stomping around he did. Soon he summoned another weapon, far larger and bulkier, the weapon more than a little identical to a Cannodumb head, but otherwise a weapon in his hands, Asymptote popped up a sight upon the top of the Cannodumb head and turned himself towards the virus he had in his sights. Asymptote clicking a hidden trigger beneath the weapon, the weapon revving up loudly in front of him, gears turning on the outside as it shot a bright burst of energy towards the virus, en explosion soon to follow upon impact with whatever it hit, Asymptote tossing the weaponized Cannodumb aside right afterwards.

Feeling his body...almost naked just in case it wasn't obvious enough he was worried about his own safety, Asymptote's cables began to slowly writhe and lengthen themselves, unfurling from his almost limitless generator, his body beginning to slowly become encased in a second layer of defense, just in case something breaks (or has already broken) through his barrier. The navi's coils melting along his body, his form encased with a protective outer layer of rubber and metal, an impact protector being installed as he finished his outer layer of protection, guaranteeing himself an extra heal once it was hit. Right after, Asymptote produced a bomb of dubious origin, knives and nails embedded in the spherical explosive as he waited for movement to make itself apparent in the dank caverns, if any of those progs had survived his onslaught, they would soon get a quick thrown explosive in the face along with his tremendous bulk behind it. But he was at least ready to escape at the first chance he got, he wanted to get deeper than he was and was ready to run from this back to back gauntlet of viral fights.

It lurched forward and flung its one remaining arm in an attempt to drape itself over the larger navi, but Asymptote managed to stay clear of it just well enough to avoid the sudden burst of electrical energy that exploded out from the program, accompanied by the acrid scent of fusing wires and further damage.

The other two followed more slowly, their limbs stretching out as increasing wells of electrical static began to course over them in a building glow. Like some lone survivor facing the zombie hordes, Asymptote began to fire his weapons. His first shot flattened on of the approaching progs, though the explosive ricochet didn't manage to connect with the one that had chased him. The nearby one attempted to hug him again, but Asymptote eluded it a second time, avoiding a second large burst of electrical static, then took his next shot at the other glowing on. It, too, went down with a crash and a pop, the sparks fading away as the prog broke down.

As he fended off the damaged programs, a ladder dropped down from above, roughly where Asymptote had first fallen in, along with the voice of the same maintenance navi calling down to him. Ready to be done with the place, Asymptote refreshed his protections, just in case, and delivered one last parting gift towards the remaining prog as he made for the ladder. The cracker bomb exploded behind him, clearing out the nest once and for all as the hulking navi was swiftly pulled back to safety.

Area: NAXA, Electown, SciLab

HP: 100
Primary Attack Damage/Effect: 20 Fire Shot + Piercing + Solar Terrain Boost 10 + Self-Cancel Body Effects
Primary Attack Accuracy: A
Primary Attack Description: Fires a scorching beam of refracted, magnified light. The beam deals extra damage when fired by a Grinner floating over solar terrain. When using this attack, the Grinner voids all protection granted by its metallic body and remains vulnerable until it closes its mouth again.

RedUFO (V1)RedUFO (V1) (ColorUFO)

ColorUFOs are able to temporarily steal chip data from their enemy, preventing the use of that battlechip until the end of the battle. ColorUFOs only attack once per turn, maximum, and spend the rest of the turn dodging. This attack is guaranteed to hit unless the target dodges when they attempt their attack, meaning it can be evaded with luck. The attack ignores every form of defence, including any form of stealth. ColorUFOs move and dodge at slightly better than average rates. They are capable of full flight. If there is no valid target with a chip for the UFO to attempt to steal, they will instead zap one target with a particle beam.

Area: SciLab, NAXA, NetVegas

HP: 80

DarkProgDarkProg (DarkProg)

DarkProgs are Mr. Progs cruelly corrupted and warped to become expendable soldiers. They appear mostly as normal Mr. Progs, but their face is much more darkly colored, and have glowing white eyes, as well as missing their left arm. They attack by emitting static around themselves. While they are fairly strong attackers, especially in groups, they have poor endurance, which is only exacerbated by the fact their attacks harm themselves. Grunting as he got himself back out of the hole he fell into, Asymptote was quick to thank the navi for pulling him out of the hole. Sighing contently, Asymptote would slowly make his way around the hole (and download any reward data he managed to get) and head off to his next, hopefully non-defensive, battle!

(Battle 3, Billy Bounty, 211 HP)
A few more apologies from the navi that had assisted him, and Asymptote found his way further into the network, seeking something to test himself on. After a few short minutes of searching, the one-time educator reached an area of the network that transitioned into an insulated flooring, forming a broad exclusion zone around a wide, thick glass lens that looked down to a multi-layered crystalline tower structure, graded away below.

The sounds of viral sniggers and chitters reached his ears as he arrived in the space. Off to his right, an Eleball was leaning on a set of discarded metal crates, with something that looked oddly like a smoke in its grinning teeth. It seemed to be wearing a singlet top around the core of its body, with “F*ck Teachers!” in messy print on it, and “(They give you better grades)” in smaller print underneath. It was also wearing a short pleated skirt. Its electric sparklers looked more like ragged pom-poms, and circled about it lazily. Beside it, a Billy lounged with an equal level of disdain. It was also wearing a torn short-sleeved T with “School Sucks!” printed across it in faux spray paint.

Further off, ahead of him, a pair of Megalian seemed to be vaguely playfully butting heads with each other, their faces set in expressions of 'totally playing it cool'. Each virus' base dangled a short crop shirt of its own; the printing on these two read “Class of Jock: Free-ride 4 life”. towards the back, on the glass lens, a Catack and a Beetank were pulling doughnuts around each other, leaving scuffs and scratches on the glass. It was hard to tell if nay of them noticed Asymptote at first – they might just be playing it cool.
